Thursday 9/15/16 A Que No Me Dejas #4 (Full Recap) Twisted Sisters
We serve the refitos of crazy Julieta
calling Paulina and telling her how much she hates Paulina and her family. She chugs her Clorox cocktail before telling
Pau that It’s all on her when Julieta bleaches herself out.
Ines scolds
Edgar for abusing Mau as a frightened Chelo looks on. Ed says he was
instructing the boy, but Ines says this isn’t instruction it’s abuse.
Ines tells Ed
if he continues abusing Mau he can forget about her or Gonz’s support. Ed thinks Ines is overstepping, because Mau
is his kid and he knows how to train up his child. Well this isn’t training, it’s abuse and if
Ed keeps it up, Ines is going to call the authorities on him and take Mau
away. Ed tells her she can’t do
that. Ines says…try me! TRY.ME. All the stress of the situation causes Ines to
become lightheaded but she recovers and instructs Chelo to take Mau’s things to
her room while she carries Mau out. Before
Chelo can leave Ed grabs her and tells her that if they get put out, it’s her
fault and she’ll pay for it.
Jaime thinks
that once Adrian is away and happy, that Julieta will finally realize he’s
happy and she’ll get over it. Adrian thinks it’s a good idea. Karen is about to get the good news of
Adrians opportunity when the phone rings.
It’s Pau who needs to speak urgently with Adrian. She tells him his locita hermana is about to
commit Cloro-cide! Pau gathers up her
stuff and tells Mica to keep the situation hush!
Gonzalo comes
into the room to find Ines cradling a bruised up Mau, he sees red when Ines
fills him in. He’s loaded for bear and
burst into Edgars room. He tosses the alcoholic around the room and
tells him that he is done and to get out of the house. Ed panics, he had nowhere to go and he’s in
debt to some guys who will kill him if he doesn’t pay up. Gonz says he’ll give him the $$’s for the
debt, but he can forget about a job or staying in his house any longer. Manana, you hit the streets! Ed
says, fine but he’ll take his boy. Gonz
says nope. Ed says ok well then pay me
double for the kid and you can have him.
Jaime and
Adrian find Loonieta and her Clorox. She has a pulse and they call an
ambulance. They wonder how she could do such a thing. I wonder how they didn’t realize how loopy
this woman really is.
Gonz is
incredulous that Ed would sell his own kid.
Ed says hey don’t judge me..youre the last one to call me out. Gonz appears
ready to kill Ed but he restrains himself and agrees, but it will be
legal. Ed agrees to sign over his rights. After Gonz leaves, the desperate alkie crawls around looking for
his flask and finds it under the bed. He
takes a long celebratory chug.
Adrian says
he’ll go with Loony to the hospital. Pau offers to go but Adrian says it’s
better she stay, he’ll let her or Karen know the stat when he gets to the
hospital.
Pariah Nuria
finds Camilo at the club. She receives a
cool reception and figures out that Cami is upset with her. She tells him she’s not responsible for what
Pau told her and then did. Cami isn’t
buying her lies and figures out this is another one of Nuria’s I-want-what-Pau-has games.
She can never get what Pau has without resorting to games.
Ines finds Chelo
soothing Mau to sleep. Anguished Chelo
wonders what will become of her poor little nino. Chelo wishes Ed had been sober..how different
Mau’s little life would be. Now he’ll be with no mother or father. Ines tells her not to worry, Chelo and Mau
will be okay. Chelo worries Ed is into
something bad with the strange guys he’s always meeting.
Nuria says
whatever, but she does love Adrian and she wants him. Cami says good luck, because her Papi doesn’t
like Adrian and will never accept him for Pau or her. Nuria says she has a better method. Pregnancy!
A son. Her father will love having a
grandson and he’d finally have the heir that he’s always wanted. Camilo laughs
and calls her idea ridiculous. You can’t guarantee a son, and it’s the stuff of
telenovelas! She says well it works. Cami
tells Nuria she isn’t in love with Adrian, it’s just another game to have what
Pau has as it was with him when Camilo was with Pau. Once Cami and Pau broke up, suddenly Nuria
lost interest. Camilo says Nuria can
forget using him to hurt Paul.
Gonz comes back
into the bedroom and instructs Chelo to take Mau and his things to Pau’s room;
where he will now sleep.
Monica tells
mama Elisa that the boys are finally asleep.
They were so happy and tired after the day they spent with their father. Elisa says they should be, he so rarely shows
up and Rene’ is finally starting to speak up.
Monica thinks it’s because Elisa is planting the seeds in her sons
head. Elisa thinks her daughter has no
dignity where Gonz is concerned. All he has
to do is show up with gifts and baubles and he falls into her bed and she falls
into his lies. Monica doesn’t want to
hear anymore and if her mother insists, then Monica will have to put her out.
Chelo comes back to retrieve Mau’s things, and
Gonz tells her she isn’t to tell Ed where Mau is and if the drunkard dares to
come out of his room, Chelo is to tell them.
Gonzalo announces that tomorrow Ed is out on the streets. Chelo worries that this means she and Mau are
out too. Ines tells her no…from now on
she and Mau will live there with them.
Chelo is relieved and happy.
Alone, Ines thanks her husband for his huge and generous heart. He tells her he wants her happy always. They both look forward to having a child in
the house again..full of laughter and joy.
Ines says Mau will be like the son he always wanted but she could never
give him. Gonz assures Ines, that he has
always been complete with her and their daughters.
Elisa is hurt
that her daughter would threaten to put her out. She lays the I-did-everything-for-you-and-the-boys
guilt trip on her daughter who apologizes and relents. Monica tells Elisa she doesn’t have to like
her decisions, but she must respect them and stop pitting her sons against
their father. Elisa takes one last opportunity to remind
Monica that Gonzalo is only oppressing and dominating her. It’s time she stand up for more than mere
crumbs and give the man an ultimatum!
The Doctor
informs Jaime and Adrian that they pumped Loonieta’s stomach. She’s lucky, but
she needs help. Was there something that
propelled her to do this? Family problems? Fighting?
Pau comes
home and tells her parents she was with Karen.
Nuria says Karen or Adrian?
Because surely Karen is her
cover. Pau tells her sister to stop
causing trouble, but Nuria keeps on and mentions the visit from Loony earlier
in the day. Wait you didn’t tell our
parents about crazy coming and almost strangling you to death? Why you even have the marks to prove it. Paul thinks her sister is causing trouble,
but Nuria says know she just doesn’t lie to her parents, like her sister.
Adrian tells
the doc that there have been some stresses with Julieta and a family
squabble. The doctor says well some
people attempt these things as a bid for attention. It’s why they make a call
to someone before hand. Julieta didn’t
really want to die. She needs
psychiatric help, pronto!
Gonz and Ines
are horrified and insist she move that scarf.
Gonz is livid and says this is it. The woman dared to come to his house
and insult him and now to try and kills his daughter! Pau insists she wasn’t going to kill
her. Gonz says well it’s the last time
because they are going to go to the Police and file a report so she can go to
jai!
Jamie and Adrian both are in agreement that
Loonieta needs help. Adrian says he wont go to Playa now but Jaime insists. The doctor was right, it was a stunt to get
Adrian’s attention and if he doesn’t go Julieta will think she has achieved her
objective.
Pau begs for them to not do that, but Gonz says too bad, and you also need to dump Adrian. Pau can’t give up the love of her life. He’s not to blame for what his sister does. Gonz the negotiater makes an offer ..Julieta in jail, or bye bye Adrian. You pick hija!

Loony wakes
to find herself in hospital, she tries to remove the iv. Instead of being happy to be alive and with
her husband, she instead begs for Adrian.
Jaime drags her crazy ass for pulling this stunt. He knows she didn’t want to die, she wanted to
make Adrian feel bad and Pau to be guilty but it didn’t work. Thankfully she is alive. She continues asking for Adrian and Jaime
tells her he is gone, and very upset with his sister.
Now in her room, a heartbroken
Pau sits on her bed and takes her ring off, she cries.. resigned that she will
break up with Adrian.
Exhausted from
all the drama-cide, Adrian comes back to Karen’s. He tells her his sister is alright but he
feels guilty for everything. He is
grateful to his sister for all she had done caring and loving him. Karen says there is difference between
feeling guilty and indulging his sister’s antics. Adrian just doesn’t want to leave his brother
to deal with all of it. Karen says,
Jaime is Julieta’s husband.
Back at the hospital
Loony continues begging to be released but Jaime says no, and if she doesn’t
relax he’ll call the doctor to come give her a tranquilizer (I’d get a prescription
to take home Jaime!) She keeps on and on Adrian..blah blah blah. Jaime can’t believe that her husband is there
with her..but all she can do is ask for Adrian.
She tells him..wait for it….to not start DRAMA with her! She is losing Adrian and she can’t do
anything to stop it.
Nuria tells
her parents that she didn’t mean to hurt her sister, she really only wanted to
protect her. Gonz says she did the right
thing. Satisfied that her shenanigans of
the day have succeeded, Nuria slithers up to bed, but not before standing out
in the hallway to eavesdrop on her parents. Ines wants to check on Pau, but
Gonz stops her. Ines feels so bad for
her daughter and conflicted for Adrian, he’s a good person. Gonz has no compassion, it’s what has to be done “ muerto
el perro se acabó la rabia” Kill the dog
you get rid of the rabies. Gonz believes in the same way Pau got over Camilo
when he left to New York, so she will eventually get over Adrian. Ines feels this is a different time and a
different relationship. Gonz says it’s
time to turn the page on this and his word is final.
Paul calls
Karens place and is surprised to hear Adrian, she thought he would be at the
hospital. He tells her Julieta is going
to be fine. He senses something in her
voice..a sacredness or sadness. She tells him that she needs to speak to him
tomorrow face to face at the beach. After hanging up, she pulls out a photo album
and through tears remembers her courtship with Adrian. She kisses her ring.
The next day
Julieta awakens to see her Corazon Adrian in the room with her. She is elated that he has come. He tells her he wasn’t going to but he needed
to see her. He thanks her for all of her
love and care over the years but he can no longer endure her manipulations and
her suffocating love. Julieta blames
Pau for his new attitude but he says no, she needs to let him be happy. Julieta says no..not with Pau. Adrian tells her that is the woman he loves,
he wants to be with for the rest of his life. Why can't she understand that? Julieta isn’t having it or hearing it..she covers her ears like a child. Julieta doesn’t want him to leave her.
Mau wakes up
and Pau wants to know how he got the bruises did he fall? Just then Chelo comes in and tells her of Ed’s
abuse. She tried to talk to Pau earlier when she came in but she knows her parents
found out about Julieta’s visit. Chelos
swears she didn’t tell Nuria, and she has no idea how the pariah could have
found out since she wasn’t even there.
Pau is more concerned with Ed and Mau, but Chelo tells her not to worry. Her parents are kicking Ed out, and she and
Mau are going to live there now. Pau is
happy.
Julieta begs
Adrian to stay with her, she’s not crazy! All she wants is his love. Adrian tells her if she wants him in her life
she must seek psychiatric help. She
begins twitching. Adrian leaves to go
see about her release and she mumbles over and over to herself. She’ll think about it.
Ed meets with
Gonz in his study all the while eyeing the well stocked bar. Gonz knows Ed is twitching for a drink. Ed knows that Gonz has always wanted a son.
Gonz says he isn’t a man who wants for anything. Ed goes for the drink, but Gonz stops him. Ed says well how about that check? Shall I go
to your office tomorrow get it? Gonz
says nope, we’re doing this legally as I said and my attorney Alfonso is
getting the documents ready. Ed says he
doesn’t it said he sold his kid or he’ll be brought up on child trafficking. Gonz tells him to stop with stupid
stuff. They are going to legally adopt
Mau, give him their last name and go by the legal channels. This is the last
day you see him. Ed jokingly says ok, but don’t think about
returning him. Gonz gives the drunkard a
chilly stare. I think Ed isn’t getting
his check but instead a coffin.
At breakfast
table Pau informs her mother she is glad they will be taking over Mau’s care. It’s the best news they’ve had lately amid so
much bad. Ines takes the opportunity to
express her regret about Adrian. Pau
doesn’t know why her mother can’t support their relationship. Ines says she tried but now seeing poor Mau,
reminds her that Pau is her child that she doesn’t want to see hurt
either. She hates that Pau must give up
the love of her life but it’s for her own good. At that moment Pariah comes in and Pau excuses
herself, bumping into her father on the way out. She informs him she is going to check on Mau
and then do as her father instructed her…terminate things with Adrian.
Adrian sits
on a pier waiting for his love when she comes along. She makes it quick…my parents found out what
happened with Juliet and if I don’t dump you, she goes to jail. She
kisses him goodbye and tells him she loves him.
Adrian says nope, not that easy.
You think by breaking up with me you will extinguish our love? Pau
knows it wont but what can they do?
Adrian says they need to find a way to fight against his sister and her
parents. Pau says he’s right..she knows
exactly how. They will tell everyone they
have broken up but love each other in secret.

Thank you. I missed the first episode. I am watching the second one right now, and as a Spanish beginner and with the summaries, I am beginning to identify who is who and what is going on. Since I am behind, I am going to try to read summaries before I watch the episode. Lots of faces who I have seen before but with different hair color :).

I was so rooting for Ines when she stood behind supporting Mau. Her face expressed deep love, care but at the same time an malignent anger. The anger that turns normal people into beasts capable of anything to protect their cubs.

Nuria is unworthy of anyone's love, including that of her parents. If you discount the murder committed by Ana MeMeME in TVA, Nuria is the most selfish brat of the moment. At least Ines knows this, but I'm wondering how it is she let that happen.
It was nice to see Inez and Gonzalo as a united front against Edgar and in their support of Mau. I also loved Gonzalo giving Edgar a taste of his own medicine and slapping him around. Although I know Gonzalo also has his own selfish reasons for wanting to get rid of Ed, you could also tell that he has true love for Mau and was outraged that Ed would dare lay his hand on the child.
Gonzalo also has his own selfish reasons for wanting Paulina to end things with Adrian, but I understand any parent being freaked out when they learn their child was almost strangled to death by one of her soon-to-be in-laws. That was even the limit for Inez. But I was disappointed in Paulina for caving to their demands and breaking up with Adrian. I'm glad he at least talked her into the "secret" relationship, but how do they think that's going to work?

Thank you so much, Delilah! The abuse in this episode (at least in the beginning) was a lot to handle. Poor Mauricio. Surprisingly, Gonzalo is the perfect example of a "gray" human being. So horrible about some things but so caring for others. The way he stood up for Mauricio when he found out Edgar had hit him left me with my mouth open.
He is this man who possibly defrauded and flat out ruined some people, is marrying is daughter off without a care in the whole and the biggest thing, has maintained an affair for 10 years and with kids but he would never hurt nor condone hurting a child. At least we can say he's 80% a piece of S***.
Paulina and Adrian also continue to surprise. I thought she would go to break up with him but she couldn't. In fact, she came up with an even better plan to be with Adrian! We'll have to see if it all pans out as they hope but, for now, a good start.
Jaime also surprisingly intelligent in this episode. He perfectly deduced why Julieta had done it and told Adrian to go so she could realize that maybe her antics aren't going to work anymore. Adrian went the next day but at least she didn't have the immediate satisfaction of having him at her bedside.
I have to say I much prefer Julieta to Nuria. Julieta has deep motivations, resentments and mental illnesses to support her being a suicidal, crazy lunatic. Nuria's just a brat and there's nothing that annoys me more than a brat.

Delilah- This was a wonderful recap. I see you got just as much enjoyment out of Gonzo's beatdown of Edgar as I did. :) Somehow, I don't think we or Gonzo will be rid of Ed just yet. Unless Gonzo decides to take matters into his own hands and beat Ed's bookies to the punch.

Nuria would testify to that in the hope that this would alienate Paulina from Adrian and she would have been so wrong to assume that. Adrian would probably have been relieved, since that would have sent Julieta straight to a facility for the criminally insane.
Paulina should not have defended her. That is her first stupid move.

I'm guessing Julieta has become more unhinged over the years, especially as Adrian has gotten older and more independent of her. I can imagine that when Adrian was a pre-teen and Juli was this young woman devotedly taking care of her little brother, she would have seemed sweet and noble, even if a bit awkward and quirky. I could see that attracting a nice guy like Jaime.

I was touched by Paulina's scene with Adrián at the beach. I didn't interpret her words as a breakup. She just told him what happened, said she loved him and kissed him goodbye, as in Bye! See you later! She never said I'm breaking up with you but we must break up or your sister goes to jail. This is the dilemma. I love you. I'm sure that they would've discussed it later, on the phone, at Karen's or elsewhere. That's the impression I got anyway. I'm glad they found a solution right there and then though.
I like your theory about how Julieta managed to land Jaime. He liked the sensitive, caring, quirky, shy gal then she transformed into a brother-loving, Clorox-chugging, people-choking, emotionally blackmailing, twitchy obsessive LOCA! That poor man!
Urban, Nuria is a terrible sister and human being but personally, I think the title of the most selfish brat of the current novela line-up goes to Nora from ECDLP. Julieta is in a class of her own as far as toxic sisters. I totally agree that she should be interned pronto because she causes more physical harm to herself and others.

I'm sure that they would've discussed it later, on the phone, at Karen's or elsewhere. That's the impression I got anyway. I'm glad they found a solution right there and then though.
I like your theory about how Julieta managed to land Jaime. He liked the sensitive, caring, quirky, shy gal then she transformed into a brother-loving, Clorox-chugging, people-choking, emotionally blackmailing, twitchy obsessive LOCA! That poor man!
Urban, Nuria is a terrible sister and human being but personally, I think the title of the most selfish brat of the current novela line-up goes to Nora from ECDLP. Julieta is in a class of her own as far as toxic sisters. I totally agree that she should be interned pronto because she causes more physical harm to herself and others.

Now that I've seen a couple of episodes, can I just say that, I don't know how Carlos Moreno and his team do it, but the casts always have such great chemistry. Some of his novelas may be better than others or we may be fans of some over others, but the casts always bring their A-Game and I always believe what they're selling, even if behind the scenes there may be chaos, onscreen the cast shines.

Superalfie- Yes, Carlos Moreno's cast always has good chemistry and look like they've become good friends behind the scenes. He's also just very good at showing friendships between people, especially his female characters, which I like.
