Tres Veces Ana #99 - Split Just Got Real!

Finally, the appropriate hug he's been waiting for

Tio is filled with emotion at finding his niece. Soulless is also filled with emotion, albeit on the opposite spectrum. She wants to talk to AnaLu before she speaks to him, but AnaLu’s had enough of her. They go elsewhere, and he offers to talk over dinner. She’d rather not leave her mom alone just yet, so they decide to address things tomorrow. AnaLu admires her Tio's eyes (yea, we're with you on that honey). They both have light eyes (ojos claros), she now understands why she looks so different from her “mother”. He tells her that the last time he saw her she was about 4, and that her father passed away a long time ago. She wants to know why he abandoned her, did he think of her and love her? (¿por qué me dejó? ¿El pensaba en mí y me quería?), but TioM assures that her papa adored her. Maribel interrupts looking like she walked out of a Jane Fonda workout video, and says they need to talk. AnaLu can't be bothered with Bloody Mari, but TioM's gotta jet & will come back for her the following day. Mariblood waits for her in her room. TioM needs a hug & kiss but AnaLu is boundary-conscious (unlike a certain sobrina), and gives him a friendly embrace. Teardrops, yada yada. TioM turns to see Rem, tells her (voy a arreglar cuentas con su hijado) he's going to sort her godson out. (Viewerville gets tingly all over).

It's ok Bel, Jane Fonda makes me cry too

Sole has been spying and approaches, but AnaLu refuses to speak to her. Rem is told that the Tio plans to tell all, but she needs Rem to convince AnaLu to listen to her first. She goes in & locks the door forcing AnaLu to sit. AnaLu doesn't trust any of them, even Santi has admitted to lying to her. Her mom had chances to come clean, but it's too late. The people she loved most in the world lied and hid things (Las personas que más amo en el mundo me mienten y me están ocultando cosas). She's depending on TioM to clear up all doubt. Rem figures if she won't listen to her mom, maybe she'll hear it from Santi. AnaLu loves a good pretext to see her hunkaliciousness, so off they go.

Oh, how I wish to be that cup

Curvas is asking Rem what she thinks of him being Santi’s bouncer (guarura), or blood brother (carnal). Rem simply asks Curvature to take care of her little boy. Curvaceous is all, “no problemo, that’s the point of this stint (changa), I'm gonna be all over this guy day & night”. Santi's like “Uh yeah, not so much buddy”. Then he gets the bat signal from Ram, Curvalicious leaps up for duty. But Santi conveniently leaves his security guard behind. Rem crosses Santi, but totally forgot the holy water and the rest of her exorcism toolkit. There's a whole awkward I love you scene between them, as they look into each other's eyes (mayhap for the last time). Curveballs looks at Rem like she took his puppy away, and she has a grave look on her face.

For any of you who missed this angle, your welks :)

AnaLetrocious is putting her lingerie back on –oh my mal, looks like she's leaving like that, must be her work attire. (Still can't tell the difference). Inaki wants them to stop with the hotels & have their rendez at his depa. She prefers hotels, they add a little something (yes, bed bugs and dirty sheets, super romantic). Besides, she doesn't want them caught by anyone they know. She reminds him of his search for AnaLu (Tú tienes que averiguar dónde vive Ana Lucía). He salutes. (Viewerville is all ay yi yi, Captain). AnaLet says she likes his obedience. (Funnily, the caption for the next scene pops up under Inaki's face: Ramiro - “You idiot”. Ha, you betcha).

Yea, we wanna touch his chesticles too

Ram lets Santi in & updates him on Oily's fists of fury with Maribel. After some shoving around, the Grease Monkey is forced to “confess” that after he saw them arguing at the vacant lot (Yo los vi discutiendo en el terreno baldío), he overheard Dani saying he'll make Santi pay & decided to comfront him, which led to a fight. He pleads self-defense, but Santi is struggling with a migraine (must be the gas fumes emanating off of Pennzoil -tnx toa). Ram is biting his nails for what he knows is coming. (Viewerville is biting into popcorn, b/c yay finally the good stuff ). Mr.Hyde/Marcelo is now out & about, with his fists out. They must be laced with truth serum b/c Oil of Olay says olé! He admits Ev's behind all of it, Marc throws Oily on his back like a flipped turtle. He wants to know everything, or he'll send Ev a present: Oily's head in a box, a la the movie Se7en. (Viewerville prefers it on a stick, so we can light it for our TVA Tiki party!). Marc covers our turtle's mouth to see if he can breathe through his butt, Ram doesn't think this is a good idea.

Stop picking his nose, it's unsanitary!

Marc punches his bestie. Oily takes this chance to skidaddle, but Marc whips out his pistol (No, this isn't Justin Bieber you guys). Ram would rather send him to jail, Marc would rather he kill him where his corpse can't be found (donde nadie encuentre su cuerpo), Oily wants neither. (Viewerville tosses a coin, Deads or Jails). The bromantic couple, with their pressing chesticles, play tug-of-war with the gun. Oily takes advantage & kicks the weapon out of Marc's hand. He gives them a power-point on “gun control” (Get it? Cuz he's in control of the gun he's pointing now, oh the pundemonium! Ok guarever, moving on).

🎼 Bang, bang, that awful sound

Marc tells him he's got that one shot before he goes Level 5 Jackie Chan. Ram, on the otra mano, tries to reason but Mr. Sunoco's gone loco. He protests that Marc was going to kill him. Marc corrects that he IS going to kill him (Viewerville is tickled by this exchange). Oily wastes no time upon hearing this and lets the gun speak on his behalf. Just then Rem runs in, with AnaLu behind her. She jumps in & does the whole “taking the bullet” trope. (Where was Rem when Kennedy got shot?). Marc catches her & does the whole “dying in a loved one's arms” trope. (Hey, are we still tabulating cliches?).

He got me, Timmy!

Inaki gets a visit from pops. Tadeo confronts him about the prostitute biz he's got going on. (Viewerville wonders if he wants to make it a Father & Son). Inaki figures Javier was the chismocito, while Tadeo figures Julieta is the ATM service. Inaki gives him a gold star, Ghoulieta is giving him everything Tadeo couldn't. He & Javi are just worried—Inaki’s like “yeah, yeah I know the old song” (Ya me sé la cantaleta). Just then, he opens his door and says he heard something like a gunshot (sonó como un disparo). Tadeo is more concerned with whether or not Javier was told she was their mom when he met her. Inaki doesn't want her near him either, that's why he let Javi think she was a “client”. Tadeo wants her away from them. Inaki doesn't want his dad to meddle, he's well aware that she's using him. This is just a job, but Tadeo worries he'll get hurt. Maybe he wasn't the perfect dad, but he's always been there. Inaki wants to go to bed, he suggests his pop grab from the drawer whatever money he feels compensates him for his “fatherly duties” and to never come back. (Just realized they captioned Tadeo as Anibal all this time. Viewerville slaps Uni like the Incredible Edna. Pull yourself together, man!). Tad Dad leaves everything he has out of his wallet on the table. (Prostitution etiquette, and what not). It's a few dollars and a fam photo. (Viewerville air-hugs him, poor guy).

Looks like my sisters in the 80s

Back to Ram's depa. (Viewerville is in a panic). Many cuts to black in between faces of despair. (Viewerville hits the side of their TV just in case). AnaLu runs to Rem's side on the floor. Oily claims he didn't mean to hurt her. Ram tries to take back the gun, Oily refuses and claims it was self-defense. Ram appeases him in agreement. Oily continues to point the gun & asks AnaLu to forgive him as he moonwalks it outta there. The remaining 3 amigos huddle around Rem like a cozy fire, and just then decide “Like hey, we should call an ambulance”. (Should? What are you proclaiming on about? Go frickin' do it!). No surprise, Ram's having a hard time explaining to Mexican 911 (he keeps this up, he'll end up on Mexico's Dumbest Crank Calls). Rem looks at Marcelo's “loving” gaze and mistakes him for Santi.

How to get away with murder: Uhh, not like this

Marc says she shouldn't have given her life to him. She tells him she's her son too & loves him. He cries, the pain Santi feels is too strong & (estoy compartiendo su dolor) he's forced to share it (Oh, just what a dying mama wants to hear). She's happy that at least the shot didn't come from him. Marc and AnaLu ask her to save her strength, but she's in monologue-mode & you can't stop that train once it gets-a-chugging. She speaks of loving him and him not being a bad man. She asks of AnaLu not to abandon him and to forgive him. She has to love him as he is, two parts of a whole (las dos partes son una sola). AnaLu gives his shoulder a squeeze. Rem suddenly goes unconscious, and just then Santi appears. He cries for his madrina not to leave him. Distress all around. (Viewerville is out of Kleenex). Ram says the ambulance is on its way (Yay, they cracked his code!). Santi continue to plead for Rem to fight. When they take her away unto a gurney, Santi hops in the ambulance with her, while Ram and AnaLu drive behind.

I'm comin', Alfredo!

TioM convinces Erne to give up AnaLu's bracelet. After all, it's a fake & there's no sense in keeping something painful. They discuss AnaLaDiDa's confession that it was AnaLet who caused the accident and has nightmares (tiene pesadillas), as well as Leo's divulging her frequent visits to the memory chamber (looks like everyone's loose-lipped all of a sudden). TioM assesses she lied to them (nos mintió), Erne is like “No, don't say it like that”. (Viewerville throws popcorn, bird is the word!). “She was a little girl” (Huh? Her lie was recent. Do you always call adult women in Victoria Secret “little girls”?). They both ultimately agree she needs help. (About time).

Sadly, the inappropriate hug he keeps getting

TioM bumps into AnaLet on his way out. He takes her outside, wanting to know why she never told him she saw AnaLu & that she's her hubster's bugaboo. She did try to tell him, she begged not to be left alone (Te supliqué que no me dejaras sola) but Viri was his only priority. He asks her not to blame Viri, he was stuck in his own issues. She didn't even know how to tell him, nor understand how she feels. She saw them kiss, and has gone ballistic ever since: dying with rage and sickening jealousy (muriendo de rabia y de celos que me enferman). The sister she missed and cried for is the woman stealing her hub's love. TioM apologizes & promises to make her his priority. She makes him do a yoga chant of “You're the most important beyosh I know”. He throws in a “Ana Lucia, too”. She no likey. (Welp, least Ana Laura isn't part of this equation). Then TioM remembers to mention that he's fulfilling his promise to take care of ALL tres veces Anas. (It's in his Uni contract). He wants the girls to forgive each other, and eject Marcelo from their lives. He suggests she get a divorce, and he won't let AnaLu have him either. AnaLet cries about always losing. (Really? Seems you get your way more than a google map). She calls AnaLu shameless, but TioM refuses to let her speak this way. They both need to talk first, but she doesn't know where she is and wonders if he does. TioM is wise enough (A gut instinct? ) to feign ignorance. She promises him she'll keep this quiet and drapes herself all over him as she kisses him goodnight. AnaLet makes it her mission to find AnaLu before he does. She must disappear.

You see Tio, I got a little herpes right here

Solebad meets Chana asking for Evaristo. Chana says since he's tired from all the exams, to try mañana. Sole can't wait, by then TioM will be there with the police. She's been caught and needs to escape with AnaLu out of town tonight, even if she has to (llevo a la fuerza) take her by force. (Viewerville ditches the popcorn throwing, and chucks the whole bowl at her). Chana plans to take her, but hopes she'll convince her not to make this mistake. TioM will follow her to hell itself if he has to (te va a perseguir hasta el mismísimo infierno), now that he knows she's alive. Sole is shivering in her chancletas. They head out to find his Omnipotence.

Practicing his death

Oily drives off to a secluded area to make a phone call. Ev is in his recámara. He hears ringing and looks around in a daze before he realizes it's not coming from inside his cabeza. He answers to a bumbling Oily, Ev asks who this is, but Oily continues stammering and confesses to killing her by mistake. When Ev asks who he's talking about, he mentions Remedios. He calls her his comadre (co-parent, which is weird considering they never mentioned her being a godmother to his kids). Edit: Comadre is the spanish equivalent of comrade. *Insert Reading Rainbow Shooting Star* The More You Know...

What part of "Do Not Call List"
do you not understand?

Ev is furious and after getting the address to meet, he grabs his gun unaware of who this dang guy is, but certain he'll be sorry (No sé quién maldito seas, pero te vas a arrepentir). Ev's dementia is going to lead him to chasing squirrels in the park, or sitting in a confession booth that's actually a zoo den. Here's hoping he finds the greasy turtle, and both eliminate each other like a math fraction. (Viewerville also hopes that the common denominator, Solebad, be subtracted too).

When telemarketers go too far

Avances: AnaLu tells Nerina she's met her uncle. Nerina asks if she'd like to know if her father had other children, as Solebad and Ramiro overhear. Didn’t quite hear the rest, but it sounded like Solebad  later tells AnaLu that her sister is the wife of Santi.

Ay, my carotid artery is strained! Ok Patio Peeps, get out the emotion and talk out your feelings, about the recent commotion & latest unveilings. Beware the narrative implosion after we hit the ceiling. Can't believe I've been chosen for this episode's freewheeling!

Stay tuned, looneyspoons!

Comments:
Anna-I know this will be a good one if you are recapping. You keep me giggling all the way...

Wow! This was a surprise. I didn't expect Remedios to meet with her demise this way. Although, now that I think about it, did Chana read something in the cards that someone (hinting at Santi) would bring about her death?

This episode was very exciting. The story is unfolding fast. Hope it continues this way. I'm tired of those lo-o-o-ng conversations...

Yep, this is a good one. It did move fast and now we are getting somewhere! Anna, I can't wait for your recap! :)

Looking forward to it, Anna! You got a great episode. I know it will be fabulous.

Still hope for Rem to survive. Her shooting seems to have helped SantMarc reintegrate his personalities, at least temporarily.

I'm frustrated that Mariano has fallen for AnaLet's act. Ugh!

Soledad-- Really?! You're still going with the stupid plan to make AnaLu leave the country with you by force! What will it take to make you tell the truth already?

See you all tomorrow.

After seeing a short clip on Univision, I can't wait. I will be up all night waiting for Hulu.

Anna you surely do have one heck of an episode. Can't wait to see what you do with it!

Did NOT see that coming, and after I picked my jaw up off the floor, I was yelling "Seriously??? This is the one you take out and Soledad is left to whine another day?" But then I really saw where the bullet landed while everyone first stood around with the "Oh MY" faces going and thought, she should make it.

I think that moment is going to be a key catalyst to hit the last episodes. People may run into each other in the hospital, Oily has GOT to be taken out by Ev, and it looks like San/Mar was shocked into one functional being.

My suggestion: hey he's at the hospital, maybe there is a two for the price of one deal going on. Grab a bed and get that stupid operation done ( Or he'll pass out and they'll do it anyway).

How Mariano fell for AnaLoon again, and did not get creeped out by the smarm (especially the fingers around his face and mouth) is beyond me. I honestly think he has locked out years of her doing this and just puts it down as her. That little moment as he kissed her on the head & she came in for a hug, and she motioned that she wanted him to instead kiss her on the lips very quickly was just so....words cannot describe that ick factor. The moments with he and AnaLu were sweet, just over too fast.

Soledad is beyond the pale. Still think writers are painting her sympathetic and I'm getting tired of it.

I'll echo everyone that this was a wonderful, pivotal recap.

Anna, your "Beware the narrative implosion after we hit the ceiling" said it all. I'm also eagerly looking forward to your recap.

The actor who plays Orlando was outstanding last night. Greasy, grimy, terrified, out of control - he mastered every emotion perfectly.

I have not an ounce of pity for Soledad. I seem to recall a scene where Chana and Remedios were talking about Rem's ominous future and Orlando walked by with Chana giving him the evil eye and calling him such...

Vivi, I think Rem will survive.

The acting was stellar all the way around last night. So much more I want to say but will wait.

Diana

I have to watch it again because the playback wasn't good and I missed a lot of dialogue. However, since we didn't hear Mozart's Requiem I'm not counting Remedios out yet.

Definitely, the actor playing Orlando was in his finest hour last night. And now I also have to update the Karmageddon list.

Anna, you are rhymin' all the timin' and I am lovin ' it!

Was I the only one who was thinking of the Incredible Hulk as Santiago was transitioning to Marcelo last night? I expected him to turn green and break through his shirt.

Diana, I so agree that the Orlando actor is doing a great job. He makes my skin crawl but not as much, daisynjay, as tío Mariano being snookered in once again by Ana Leticia. I am waiting for her to plant a big old kiss on his lips and him FINALLY realizing what has been going on all this time and feeling like the jackass he is. Ernestina does have eyes, right? I think the writers just love to make us squirm in disgust.

Soledad is just as mentally ill as Ana Leticia in her own way. It must run in the family.

Gotta give it to AnaLetme(Dodisgustingthings) the little shit can look hornier than a two peckered tomcat. I thought she was going to stick her tongue in Tio's mouth. I have yet to understand how a man who is no stranger to come-ons has no clue with Looney Tunes sobrina. Her thermostat was still working overtime when she got to her bedroom. I thought she was going to start shucking off her clothes and head for the bathroom. Instead she had already shifted gears into "Think, Think,Think" to herself "How can I kill that little bitch". Meanwhile Tio and Gramma have talked and agreed to feel even more sorry for Jeffrey Dahmer....er Analet.

Oily, boy, ya need a shower and nine lives, cause you would soon be down to eight.. Yore boss aint bringin you a Junior Achievement Award. No sympathy here, I'd rather see Tio and Analet having a cigarette than see you hitting a woman.

SoeBad Soledad, you need a new wardrobe, like a straight jacket. Kidnap a grown woman? How'd that work out when your Evil kidnapped Ramiro? Anybody get hurt? Oops. I give up.

"I think the writers just love to make us squirm in disgust".

Yup Jarifa - ITA...

Rulli was also sensational last night (so was Inaki and his father), I could go on and on.

UA, yes, no Mozart last night must surely signify there is hope for Rem yet!

Diana

Lots of excitement last night and some great acting moments, as everyone has said.

Jarifa - you are so right. I have found Soledad to be so annoying and selfish that I missed that she is totally nuts. Good Lord, still begging and insisting that someone with worse problems (even if he, Evaristo, is evil incarnate) put her first. Didn't we have the same routine from AnaLe with Mariano.

Looking forward to Ana's recap.

I don't know about Remedios. Last night I was thinking she'd survive, but on the other hand we have Channa's prediction. Either way, I was impressed both with the Orlando actor and with Rulli. I thought they were both fabulous.

But AnaLet with Mariano - that was all kinds of gross. Him buying her stupid story and agreeing to make her his first priority... boundaries, dude! BOUNDARIES! And of course her constant gazing at his lips. Ugh, disturbing.

And poor Maribel is still waiting in her room for AnaLu.

Well, I'm glad we're having this pre-recap chat, because as usual I just wanted some confirmation that I really did see what I thought I saw.

Your intro made me laugh Anna!! Looking forward to recap.

I'm not sure Rem is out of the woods yet. If Marcelo's father finds out she is there he may pull an Inaki.

Oily is awful but his life was at stake so I don't blame him for shooting. Especially since Ramiro wasn't trying too hard to save him. Marcelo told him in no uncertain terms that he was going to kill him.

So glad Tio didn't tell AnaLet how to find AnaLu. Some wheels are working up there. She is so swarmy.

Yes Julie, I was thinking "poor Maribel is still in her room waiting for AnaLu"!

Inaki treats his father so poorly and then says take money for being a good father and instead he takes money out of his own wallet, throws it on the table with a pic of him and the kids. Too sad. Inaki doesn't deserve such a great father. He deserves Julieta as a mother.

Soledad is awful, awful. What does she hope Ev can do? Kill Mariano for her? I wish she was the one who had been shot. Soo selfish. Damn I sound like a broken record in each recap. I should just stop talking about her.

I hope AnaLu isn't in the hospital when Tio comes round for her in the morning.

We now have Soledad wanting to spirit AnaLu away and AnaLe wanting to do away with her. I wonder if somehow these two themes are going to go together as AnaLu goes missing. Not sure how that might work itself out but perhaps Evaristo manages to help Soledad grab AnaLu and get her out of town. And then the fun begins with everyone, including AnaLe, trying to figure out what happened and blaming each other. With EVaristo behind it all, things could really get interesting.

Looks like it will be a while before the triplets are reunited, as many have speculated.

Mariano is a scumbag anyway. He knows.

I never believed Remedios would become the caregiver to a grown man and connect emotionally to him as if he was a little abandoned boy. I hate she was shot but the person she nursed and defends doesn't exist. These people are attempting to save a murderous thug. I get it if Marcelo was a nice guy but he wasn't. He's cold blooded and developed a multiple personality disorder. He needs to be jailed or institutionalized and get professional help.

Okay, just watched it with no playback issues.

Remedios still isn't home free. We've already had one murder in a hospital, so there could be a second one. Since the police are involved shouldn't there be guards outside her door? We still have to worry about Ana Loon and Facundo.

I echo everyone else's feelings about SoleBad. She is completely selfish and beyond the pale. We need to wonder now that Evaristo is dying (He seems to have told the truth about this) whether he isn't rethinking his actions through this tale. She expects him to help her kidnap Ana Lucia by force and get them out of the country? She deserves to go to prison just for that thought.

I'm wondering how much the Mexican audience is going to hate her for that.

It does seem as though SantMarc has become whole, but we need confirmation. Will he want a new name and identity after this?

There were close-ups of Evaristo's notebook, so it must contain important information. I am now thinking that the two keys protect the money that Ratmundo has been scamming and evidence of his guilt.

Finally, Mariano: I was watching his facial expressions during the scene with Ana Loon and wondering whether his statement about making her "my first priority" didn't mean that he will look into getting her to a shrink. Knowing that she is responsible for the accident that killed his brother and sister-in-law and that she's been having nightmares about it for years is adequate reason for this. He still has to find out that she murdered Jenny. That is too big a thing to leave undiscovered.

Anna, cool title! Looking forward to the recap.

I too thought Mariano was going to mention getting AnaLe a shrink. Hopefully, he'll talk to Erne about it. To those who say he knows what AnaLe is up to with him, I submit that in all these hugs, near mouth kisses, lap sitting, etc., Tio has never gotten a woodie. Cause if he did, AnaLe would've zoomed in more. Tio thinks she's a grown woman that has never matured out of her childlike affection for him.

I'm as shocked as anyone Remedio got shot, even though Chana told us. ITA on Rulli's acting in morphing between Marcelo and Santiago. I'd been looking forward to such a scene and he delivered.

Looking forward to another Banana desert. How much more is Ramiro going to take from "Marcelo"? Marc punched him Hard last night, and the other day he turned on him too. It's about time to call him on it.

I see an involuntary psychiatric stay as Ana Leticia's anvil.

The only way for Soledad to get away with her kidnapping plan is to have Evaristo KILL Mariano. As Chana said, he's already seen Ana Lucia. If Soledad kidnaps her again, he would spare no expense to scour the world looking for her. So, Tio Mariano needs to DIE to keep Soledad's secret.

The end is nigh for Oilando. There's no other option for him except jail or death.

If Ana Lucia is kidnapped by Soledad and Evaristo, Isidro might end up targeting ANA LAURA instead.

Great point, Niecie! Ana MeMeME would have been looking for that.

Since he would have known her since birth and been a caregiver since she was 5 he would have to be a serious pervert to have the hots for her now.

Woah 20 comments, I have much to read! And so do you, recap is up! :)

Screenshots pending...

Anon207, I don't see Isidro going after Ana Laura.

He still doesn't know that there are triplets. He has mistaken Ana MeMeME for Ana Lucia because of their resemblance, but hasn't spent enough time with her to realize she is a different person.

He is also just as superficial as anyone who has rejected Ana Laura because of her prosthesis. I also think that he would not get a kick out of subduing her because she is already too vulnerable. Ana Lucia is mostly confident, physically fit, outgoing, and positive. Isidro wants to take most of that away from her.

Gracia, Anna! My fave:

AnaLet cries about always losing. (Really? Seems you get your way more than a google map).

Mariano will have nothing to say about whether either of the two end up with Santiago. Once Ana MeMeME is in the manicomio, the prison, or the family vault Ana Lucia can be with him with a clear conscience. She and Santiago are adults and nobody has any legal right to dictate their lives.

Arranging the divorce, however, is in keeping with Ana MeMeME's intent before she knew he wasn't going to stop searching for Ana Lucia.

Anna, thanks for the recap. It was excellent!

Thanks Anna! Loved it!!

AnaLu is not a child. Does Sole think kidnapping her is going to keep her by her side? What, will she lock her up for eternity? This woman really needs to be hit by a bus, to knock some sense into her.

Isidro doesn't know there are triplets. He lusts for pure Ana Lucia. He mistook Ana Leticia for Ana Lucia.

Ana Leticia led Isidro on and has a plan to whip him up to the point where he takes the real Ana Lucia away (or he kills her because she "led him on" and then rejects him).

If Evaristo & Soledad kidnap Ana Lucia, and Isidro is on the rampage to have Ana Lucia, he very well may see ANA LAURA and kidnap HER, thinking she is Ana Lucia.

Isidro isn't going to know Ana Laura only has one leg until he rips her clothes off; if she's just standing there in the street he's not going to know about her condition.

The plan Ana Leticia is cooking up for Ana Lucia may have dire consequences for Ana LAURA, which works in Ana Leticia's favor either way because she gets rid of competition for the inheritance.

Of all the days for the electricity to go out! The southern California desert gets a little bit of rain and all hell breaks loose. I was not able to watch last night and I pray somehow my DVR captured this but I know that's not possible.

The silver lining is that Ana recapped this episode! Thank you! This was hilariously detailed and magnificent! You even had me laughing at the part where Remedios was shot! I will be devastated if she's gone though. I have loved this actress since LQLVMR and she reminds me of my mom.

I can not believe Solebad is contemplating kidnapping a 25 year old woman?! She's psycho, she needs to be put in a mental institution right along with Ana Let. Loved: "Sole is shivering in her chancletas" indeed! She needs to give up and face the consequences and pray she'll get some mercy. (Of course we all know she will since she's really the triplets' great aunt).

Thanks again for this fabulous recap!

Virginia and Cynthia It DID move fast, so happy we're finally getting to the good stuff!

Vivi Yes, I hope Rem survives too! At least her shooting was the catalyst for the personalities making peace w/ one another. Not surprised w/ Tio, typical. Sole needs to get a grip, and learn that she's going to lose. Even if she takes her daughter away, she'll lose her. No way is she going to stay w/ her now that she's so close to learning the truth. She'd run away, or if trapped, she'd loathe her. There's no pt in maintaining a relationship if the love's been destroyed.

Daisy Lol, 2 for 1 deal! Maybe the tumor shrinks miraculously b/c of their ego-union? Ditto on Her Royal Smarminess! I'm not usually grossed out b/c I loosen the beanie a bit during those scenes & recognize they're just actors. But after seeing the loving embrace b/w AnaLu & him, it looked super dirty in comparison.

Diana Agree!!! Acting was fantastico, him and Carlos De La Mota do bad creeps really well!

Jarifa I almost put the Incredible Hulk instead of Mr.Hyde b/c yes, it totally reminded me of that, too! He was super enraged, but no shirt-tearing . Oh yea, I used to do rap battles with my pink bear, Pookie. I always won, of course ;) My rhymes are melodic, but my rhythm is neurotic, a bit overly-prosodic and pantomimically psychotic :P *scratches her mousepad and breaks a nail* Gad demmit.

TOA Ahh, I shall miss your witty commentary when this is over. Her thermostat was indeed overworked, and I'm sure she'd stick it up his butt if given the chance!

TravelingLady You know, I wonder if his illness is environmentally induced, b/c she needs to catch whatever he's got. Let her end follow his! I'm done w/ Foe-ledad!

Julie I know! I was like Bel is gonna wonder "duhhh, which way did everybody go?" Poor thing got beat, but then again ...y'kno, karma. Is that wrong? Yea, that was mean. No girl, no matter how fictional deserves Greasy Fists wrath.

_____________________________________________________________________________

Carvivlie OMGodzilla! You're right, he totally would! And yes, i was disappointed in Inaki's treatment. Tadeo is one of my fave characters, his story truly touches my heart. I actually DO hope she's in the hospital. At least, this way she's got Ram to protect her from a kidnapping. Tio may not be there in time.

Tofie Rem sees that he's 2 parts of a whole. Santi isn't fictionalized. He's a divided piece of Marcelo. All that Marc is left w/ (since Santi hoards his sentimental side), is all the rage and betrayal from his memories. In dissociative-disorder, sometimes the egos break into the child, the evil ego, the peacemaker, the caretaker. Sometimes it's a combo of these. She realizes that Marc is just hurting, and what he needs is love and acceptance of his dark side. Something we're all afraid to do is embrace darkness, I happen to gravitate towards it. I'm smart not to act darkly, but I'm ok with some evil b/c I recognize that evil isn't real, it's just a diverted path from good. Evil people aren't necessarily bad...just misguided. Sick people are a different story, of course. I think we need contrast, or we fall into the trap of perfection as an ideal.

Urban I think for sure Tio is looking to get this mujer some much needed help. The divorce will be first, then finding a doctor, ad then when all that's finalized, he plans to reunite them.

Niecie Yea, you'd think that a woman as seducing as she is, understands how men respond. She could have easily figured out that his love is unrequited simply by his unaffected "physical" feedback.

Anon207 He does like them innocent, so it's possible. Then again, he REALLY liked what he saw with AnaLetraviesa. He might kidnap her & be her downfall. That would be great, b/c her smarminess needs its own karma.

Lily Ugh the maldita electricidad! In case your dvr went caput, Univision has this up, and you can check at wlext.net when they upload Capitulo 79 later this afternoon. It comes with english subtitles and everythin' :)

Fabulous job, Anna. What a fun recap! Thanks, amiga. (Remember the page break.)

I laughed out loud when dementia-addled Evaristo went gunning for Oily-- saying to himself that he doesn't know who the hell Oily is, but he's going to pay for killing his comadre. (Which can mean either co-godparents, or just close, old friends.) Dementia storylines aren't usually funny, but the irony here was just too much. :)

"Rem sees that he's 2 parts of a whole. Santi isn't fictionalized. He's a divided piece of Marcelo. All that Marc is left w/ (since Santi hoards his sentimental side), is all the rage and betrayal from his memories." Anna-- ITA with this whole paragraph, and have been saying this all along. So has Ramiro, but no one was listening to him.

Continuing from above-- this is also the reason why Ramiro is so patient with both Santi and Marcelo, because he sees that both are part of the same whole, and that they are both hurting and confused. He knows his friend is unwell, both mentally and physically (the tumor).

Si, si, si oh wise amiga! And I totally missed the connection between the word comrade and comadre, despite always hearing the connection for compadre. I'm that silly. Ooh and gracias for having my back, I knew there was something I forgot to do! This epi doesn't have too many good screenshots, they're all pretty darkly-lit for some reason. Gonna pick & choose the best, then post em :)

Thank you, Anna. So glad you can keep up the snark even when things get dark. (No rhyme intended!)

"Viewerville prefers [Oily's head] on a stick, so we can light it for our TVA Tiki party!" Oh, what a great idea.

"[Rem] goes in & locks the door forcing AnaLu to sit." And there you have it. No wonder AnaLu doesn't trust anyone. People treat her like a prisoner. Locking the door? Really?? Is that to keep her in, or to keep others out? It has to be to keep her in, because anyone who would be kept out already knows the secret!

But Rem didn't tell her anything of value anyway, so what was the point of locking the door and sitting her down?

"No surprise, Ram's having a hard time explaining to Mexican 911" Yeah, I'm trying to imagine him being the guy who comes up with the headlines for news stories. "Um... uh... how about... 'Remedios Is Here'? No, wait, how about 'We're Gonna Need More Paper Towels'? OK, let's try 'Orlando Doesn't Shoot Marcelo,' does that capture the essence of the story?"

Thanks, Anna - this was a stellar recap!

Vivi, in an action packed episode nonetheless, Ev running out to make "whoever he is pay" was my favorite scene as well. I am disappointed Ev is likely going to die of illness - seems like a more grand death such as being stabbed by 50 people would be more befitting for a mastermind of his magnitude. Even in the midst of feeling sad for his illness, this scene was very humorous indeed.

There's a reason Ram became an accountant, and not a public relations exec...

Wonderful recap, Anna. Many, many thanks!
Your wit and accuracy are so impressive. I did, by the way, want to throw my bowl of popcorn at Souless!

Thanks for the recap, Anna!!!

Man, I did not see expect to see Rem get shot. I do hope she survives. It seems to me like she's the key in helping Santiago win the war against Marcelo. Marcelo certainly softened up during that scene even though he said he didn't know why. I hope Oily gets a good karmaggedon. Maybe Evaristo will take care of the situation. But if Ev dies of natural causes I don't think that'll be sufficient enough.

I don't know how much longer I can take AnaLet's weird obsession with Mariano. I'm still hoping she doesn't do anything against Viridiana. I hope Mariano gets to talk to Ana Lucia again but I did think that it was better that it didn't happen in this episode. I can't believe Soledad thinks the solution is to run away. She can't hide anymore to save her own skin.

Neither Santiago nor Marcelo 2.0 should win the war because neither of them are functional on their own or represent the real Marcelo. They are both just half of a person. The Marcelo we saw briefly after Rem was shot, was the real Marcelo-- in custody of his memories (good and bad), his anger, his instincts, and his soft/caring side. The same man we saw crying after he killed the guy who (supposedly) killed Gina, who we saw connecting tenderly with his sister-in-law Ana Laura and his cousin Jenny, and defending an elderly couple from a jerk who had been discourteous to them-- all in flashback.

Santiago was about to believe Oily's stupid story about beating up Dan in self-defense and because he was supporting his bro (NOT!) SantMarc, until Marcelo 2.0 showed up and beat/strangled/suffocated the truth out of him.

What if.... Mariano caught Ana MeMeME in the act of attempting to kill Viridiana? Does he need something that obvious to make him see that this niece has forgotten that she is a niece?

Urban, I think Mariano is oblivious enough that he still wouldn't see that AnaLet is hot for him. He'd understand that she was jealous about the attention he was giving to Viri, but he wouldn't necessarily realize that she craves his *sexual* attention.

I think the only way he's going to figure it out is with grossly, unambiguously inappropriate touching.

I laughed and was so entertained by your recap, Anna. Great job! I do have a question for everyone, because I am not sure I ever caught the relationship between Evilristo and Remedios. He referred to her as his "comadre". Does that mean she is the godmother to one of his kids or grandchildren?

Oh every time they say "maldito" or "maldita", what does that mean exactly? I grew up hearing those words and never knew exactly what they meant. My mother used to call me a "maldita" when I misbehaved or did something wrong like starting an argument with my younger siblings. I thought it meant a bad little girl. She would say, "Que maldita eres." I have a feeling now that it doesn't actually mean a bad little girl or a bad little boy.

I sure hope Remedios makes it. It would be a shame to cut her out of the story now. We would never get Santiago back. I think he would remain the cold assassin of Marcelo forever.

Screenshots are up :D Your comments are hilarious!

Cynthia I recently updated the meaning in the recap. Comadre is equivalent to comrade in the same way that Compadre is equivalent. Maldito/a means "cursed" or "damn", or "rascal" depending on how you use it.

I already know I'M going to hell, so,....Every time I see AnaLetmebarf slithering all over Tio I hear Toby Keith singing "Don't kiss me like this unless you mean it like that."

toa

thank you Anna for the great recap. so worthy of the read

You're right, Vivi.

The real Marcelo is lost somewhere between Santiago and BSC Marcelo. If something can be done about the tumor he might be able to go back to his old self. Maybe Mariano does have a point about both Ana Lu and Ana Let leaving Santicelo be for a while before he hurts one or both of them.

Wow AnaBanana. That's not a recap, that's a term paper. So much going on and all so funny. Particularly enjoyed your Jane Fonda video caption. Lord knows I watched and re-watched a lot of those. (might have been better to actually exercise to them...hmmm.)

And "oh how I wish I could be that cup". Yes ma'am. Santiago/Marcello has delicious lips. In French we'd say they are "charnu". Not going to translate because it definitely sounds better in French!

And the screen shot of Iñaki's tush. No words necessary except thank you.

Like UA, thought "seems you get your way more than a Google map" was hilarious.

Not expecting Remedios to get shot, but was expecting a long-drawn out, noble paean to maternal love and acceptance and I got it in spades. Still, it worked nicely into compelling an integration of the two Marcello/Santiago personalities.

Would that all parents could all accept their children's flaws that easily! And vice versa.

Outstanding recap. And great comments too. Terrific patio group which I give our top-notch recapping team credit for drawing us all in.

You rock AnaBanana!

Thanks, Anna. Absolutely incredible recap. This is a masterpiece.

Judyb, I thought we had already gotten the long drawn out maternal love and acceptance speech before Marcelo was going to shoot her but then we got it again after she was shot, sooo he probably should have just shot her anyway so she could have saved some breath.

All you peeps' gratitude is appreciated and reciprocated!

JudyB This was actually a pretty decent sized recap, and then I added the Viewerville snark, then I added the spanish, then I added the screenshots. Pretty soon, I realized I had inadvertently written a thesis for Univision Universidad! I usually make 'em shorter when I type off my notes, rather than from the Univision script. But I wanted to make sure I got the Spanish typed with the accents and upside down question marks. Next time, I'll half-assk it I pwomise ;)

Carvivlie LMBOOOOOOO!

Name Key is up!

Getting in late and read the recap--wow, Anna. You didn't miss a punch, shot, snark, smarm or stare. awesome.

Reading all the great comments today as we are definitely getting some action-packed episodes, I would love to have Soledad go to Ev all in vain. He not understand what she wants or be willing to help. I'm at the point right now with her, Ev can shoot HER by accident instead of Oily. I just want her gone, but I know that won't happen any time soon.

Can I say, it was actually refreshing to not have to deal with another Gina flashback or a sitting at the table drunk Tin scene. Those can continue to be parked until the Finale. but again, probably no luck. I've always thought that both AnaLu and Llora would come into some sort of danger because of their evil sister's shenanigans and that was going to be how she was exposed.

I think with every smarm on Tio and as she is seeing things unravel with AnaLu entering the picture, Bowyer is playing her slightly more unhinged each time. Last night's moments with Tio were the worst we have ever seen, desperation in every pleading word, she's losing that ability to keep that all-together side front forward and I just wonder if we are being let up to scene where she does firmly plant one on Tio and declare her love. And in her craziness, she slips what she did to Jenny. I kind of sort of want to see that...I bet in a scene like that Bowyer would knock it out of the park, like everyone else has been doing.

Thanks,ANA. You are on fire , girl !!!

I am contemplating ANaLEtme's incestuous intentions toward her uncle. On another site, there was a conversation about people kissing on the mouth. I only kiss my hub on the mouth. I kiss my children, other relatives, and friends on the cheek. I guess in some cultures, people kiss relatives and friends on the mouth, but I do not think that is the case in Mexico. Perhaps, Tio will catch a clue if ANaLEtme kisses him full on the mouth. ..or has she already been there, done that.

Anna thanks for the recap and the funny reaction shots.
I think the top caption was my favorite

Susanlynn, AnaLet hasn't kissed him on the mouth yet. I'm thinking that's probably what it will take to get him to see the light.

Exceptional Anna. Truly exceptional in every way imaginable.

Loved and savored every word but a few of my favorites are “Finally, the appropriate hug he's been waiting for”, “Sadly, the inappropriate hug he keeps getting”, “Soulless is also filled with emotion, albeit on the opposite spectrum”, “Bloody Mari” and “AnaLetrocious”. The Name Key was amazing.

The screen shots were so appreciated. I was absolutely delighted you included the shot of Tadeo and his sons, the most heart wrenching moment of the night for me. Tadeo is overrun with emotion, Inaki is as usual, stoic to the hilt. I love that they wish to protect Javier. I agree with Tadeo’s wise assessment that Inaki will get hurt. More than he already has been of course.

Sorry to be so late - worked late, you know the drill.

Thank you!

Diana

And yes, forgot to echo mi amiga Judy's "And the screen shot of Iñaki's tush. No words necessary except thank you".

Sigh - Diana

Soledad will be 'forgiven' because of her convenient biological connection to Ernestina, but she is DESPICABLE. She deserves to end up alone.
