Tres Veces Ana - Character List and Plot Redux (on steroids)
Ok this isn't done, but I thought you guys could use
something to read while I finish the remaining character list. I wanted to give
a refresher/redux version of everything we know so far, for those who are just
tuning in ….or have tuned out and gotten lost along the way (ya thanks a lot,
writers). I tried doing a summary of the past 80+ recaps and it took way too
long. I might finish it, but it seems pointless since by the time I'm done, the
series will be nearly ended. Like seriously, my butt is chafing and I figured
this is mejor que nada. So enjoy the read, and let me know if I missed an

TRES VECES ANA CHARACTER RECAPS:
Ernestina: Grandmother to triplets. Mother to their dead madre. Runs the castle of Alvarez-Castillo and spoils granddaughters, leaving one too incapacitated to feel self-sufficient and the other too spoiled to feel anything but self-interested. Seemingly unaware of Ana Leticia's manipulative and deadly nature. Intent on finding Ana Lu and holds some hope she's still alive. Incredibly suspicious and jumps to conclusions like a bad habit. Runs a children foundation, employer to Ana Laura, Valeria, Valentin, and Edmundo. Unknowingly has an enemy in her accountant, Edmundo who is puppeteered by Evaristo (in an attempt to avenge his true love). Keeps a secret that her father was a womanizer and had an illegitimate child, who also happens to be her housekeeper and close confidant, Leonor. Only recently discovers, via Chana's tarot reading, that she may have another half-sister by her father. She runs into this half-sister multiple times, without knowing her blood relation or that she's the kidnapper of her missing grandchild. Incredibly speculative, and unrepenting of the slightest hint of betrayal. At first, suspected Marc and Ram individually of hurting her grandbabies, only to find out later she was mistaken. Had a first love in Rodrigo but via paternal pressure and suspected impregnation, she ends their engagement. Later finds out Rodrigo didn't have an affair and never got over her. Unknowingly both have restarted their relationship anonymously via a dating site with the insistence of her bff Miranda. Hires Evaristo as an investigator, and is led to believe Ana Lucia isn't alive. Suspected of wearing her bun tighter than a jar of pickles and overly-accessorizing with a stick up her ass. Mariano: Uncle to triplets. Brother to their
dead papa. Spoils nieces and loves them like a padre. Seemingly unaware of
Ana Leticia's daddy issues & infatuation with him, although he doesn't find her possessiveness normal either. Intent on
searching for Ana Lucia, until evidence had shown otherwise. Runs a (inmobilaria)
real-estate firm, employer to Ana Leticia, Inaki, and Adriana (his sexratary). Sued by
boutique owner, Viridiana, who later becomes a love conquest for him.
Responsible for Valentin's disability, and is an adversary to Valentin, Marc,
and Ram due to his past connection with Gina. Self-Proclaimed “Reformed
Womanizer”, Murder Suspect to Gina, and is haunted by his past mistakes. Suspected of sex appeal by unfair use of heavenly blue
eyes. Significantly tied to
Alvarez-Castillo fam, Marcelo, Ramiro,Viridiana, Claudia, Valentin, Samuel,
Evaristo ....formerly Jennifer, Gina. And Viewerville, b/c who doesn't wanna be
tied down by blue-eyes, amirite?

Ana Laura: One of the triplets, the timid one.
Lost her leg to the accident and wears a chafey prosthesis. While concerned
about Ana Leticia's mental health, is not entirely aware of how deeply
disturbed her sister is. Incredibly forgiving, and very docile. Intent on
finding Ana Lucia, and does not waver in her hope. Although fair and loving,
she does favor Ana Lucia over Ana Leticia, mostly because of their closeness as
children. Has dreams, and the call of the blood when her sisters are in
emotionally-intense situations. When she isn't playing sad piano music at home
or crying in her bedroom, she works at her grandmother's foundation with both
Vals, Valeria and Valentin. Her only real friend, aside from her work buddies,
is Ramiro. A childhood friendship has grown into love, but she's incredibly
insecure about her disability and is hesitant & reclusive as a result. Only
recently has begun to grow confident with the help of Viridiana, who gifted her
with chic clothes and a positive outlook. Ramiro wants to whisk her away to
deflower her and hopefully empower her. She is betrothed to marry him in 6
months where she hopes to be reconciled with her lost sister. Very easily
manipulated by Ana Leticia, and is fearful of disappointing her grandmother.
Although she's wary of his machinations, she's manipulated by Valentin, her
former boyfriend and fellow music lover. She also has a big mouth, you can
count on her to volunteer any confidential tidbit without interrogation. When
not succumbing to fits of tears, the family storage chamber is a favorite stop
of hers to revisit happy memories and nostalgic toys. Suspected
of wearing onion as perfume, or being clinically depressed—Level: Streetcar
Named Desire. Significantly tied
to Alvarez-Castillo fam, Ramiro, Marcelo, Valentin, Edmundo, Nerina, her piano,
her prosthetic, tear gas ....formerly Jennifer, Gina.

Ana Leticia: One of the triplets, the evil
one. Caused the accident that killed her parents, which disabled Ana Laura and
lost Ana Lucia. Incredibly spoiled by both her uncle and grandmother, both of
whom are wrapped around her up-turned pinky. Works at her uncle's real-estate
firm with Inaki, who she teasingly flirts with. Fed by a silver spoon all her
life, she is without want—except that she carries an emptiness that can only be
filled (according to her) by the forbidden, incestuous love she holds for her
uncle. Married to Marcelo, who has a matching love rune tattoo, she feels
neglected and uneasy about his investigation for her missing sister. Unwilling
to share the inheritance and attention with anyone else, she demands a divorce,
but fails to stop him from searching. Her biggest fear is losing the love of
her uncle to the missing sister who was so well-loved by all. In fits of
jealousy, she has single-handedly killed his fiancee Jennifer, supposedly
killed his lover Gina, and attempted to kill her husband with the help of
Evaristo and her former lover, Daniel. After 3 years, she recovers her husband
Marcelo, with the bonus of alter-ego Santiago. Fearful of his revenge, she
manipulates him into believing her innocence by revealing that she lost his
child due to the stressful nature of her mourning, and is being framed by
Evaristo. She carries on an affair with Inaki in an attempt to find the sister
she knows to be alive and to be the lover of Santiago. She's aware of Inaki's
murder of his half-brother, Daniel and he's aware of her murder of Jennifer.
When she isn't using her feminine wiles to woo her men, she hires the likes of
Gina and Claudia to do it for her. Claudia is the only one aware of Ana
Leticia's wanton desire for her uncle, but still agrees to use Claudia to keep her
uncle away from Viridiana. Although Evaristo is her hired hitman, she is wary
of him as well, and is using him as the scapegoat enemy for Marcelo. She also
reveals the true motivation of Valentin's closeness to her sister by impersonating
Ana Laura, making him another enemy for her. Ramiro is the only other one who
is aware of Ana Leticia's manipulative streak, and who has overturned her
manipulative game of keeping him at bay from the family. With him restored back
into their good graces, she's decided a truce so long as he stays out of her
way. She has also unleashed her wrath on inanimate objects such as stuffed
teddy bears, picture frames, mirrors, car windows, a genie costume, and a
partridge in a pear tree. Suspected of liking smeared lipstick and S&M ...or cage-matches. Significantly
tied to Alvarez-Castillo fam, Marcelo, Ramiro, Inaki, Evaristo, Claudia,
Valentin, crowbars, construction sites ....formerly Gina, Jennifer, Daniel.

Ana Lucia: One of the triplets, the spirited
one. The lost child everyone is looking for, and is the center & driving
force of this TN. Can also be the bane of Viewerville's existence, when her
fear of Google vexes us. Found stranded in a river by Soledad, she is raised
without any memory of her previous life (other than confusing dreams), in the
distant town of San Nicolas, where she becomes a silk aerialist. She's led to
believe her father abandoned them. She is also nurtured by Chana, the local
mistico, who teaches her to read palms. She is unknowingly hounded by a pervy old
man, Isidro. Her best friends are Orlando who is in love with her, and Maribel,
who is in love with him. They both follow after her to a pension, where she's run off to with her sick mother. But not before she runs into Santiago, an
amnesiac she falls in love with, who considers her the woman of his dreams,
literally. She finds him at the pension, but slowly learns of his marriage as
his past memories begin to return. His father Facmundo takes him back, and
verbally crushes her spirit. Willing to fight for their love, in spite of the
scandal and potential heartbreak, she has many near-misses with her former
family. Manipulated & controlled by Soledad, she is sequestered by her
side. She comes face to face with Santiago's alter-ego, Marcelo and learns
about her mother's lying. Aside from confronting her mother to reveal the
truth, she has confrontations with her ex-friend Orlando, whose obsession and
physical assaults cause a rift, as well as a jealous Maribel who she'd
reconciled with. The 3 are part of the dance troupe Danze Aire, where she's the
target favorite of Anibal, the choreographer. She's protected by the many
characters in the pension, as well as those from afar. When she's not
performing, she cries on Santiago's bed and makes crank calls to his wife. Suspected of tree lynching, that is lynching of
innocent trees by silk rope. Significantly
tied to Alvarez-Castillo fam (but unaware), DanzAire fam, Santiago, Soledad,
Remedios, Chana, Ramiro, Inaki, Evaristo, Facundo, chest of secrets, really tacky
leotards and gypsy wear.

| Santiago vs Marcelo |
Marcelo: Husband to Ana Leticia. Suffers from
Disassociative-Identity Disorder, the Mr. Hyde of his dual egos. Also diagnosed
with a brain tumor. An investigator, who after 3 years of dating, didn't have
the sleuthing skills to recognize he married a crazed-maniac. However, his bedroom
skills are implied to have the power of all the psychiatric medication she needs.
A former police officer, he runs his own investigative firm partnered by
Evaristo, Alfredo, Creepy Guy, and some guy named Martinez (but may be just be Creepy Guy’s
last name) where he solves cases vigilante-style. Unaware
of Ana Leticia's manipulative nature, but chalks her up as just a needy,
spoiled brat. Their tattooed shoulders and vows of commitment signify their
bond. That is until he discovers his wife's affair with Daniel, whom he
threatens. His threatening also extends to Gina, Valentin, Creepy/Martinez (who he
kills after his betrayal), and Soledad. His investigation leads to his
wife's request for divorce and his attempted murder. Evaristo kills Alfredo and
right before kicking a near-unconscious Marcelo into a river, gloats about Ana
Leticia's hand in this. He resurrects as Santiago and internally fights his new
ego to regain control. When in control, continues his threatening war path on
Samuel, Daniel again, Inaki, Ana Leticia, and Evaristo. Samuel and Mariano hold
the key to what happened to Gina, and Evaristo holds an actual key to his
deposit box. Seeking revenge, he hopes to annihilate all his enemies, including
Santiago who seems to hold him back. Ramiro is his only real friend, and the
two join in their attempt to bring back Ana Lucia while figuring out what Ana Leticia
and Evaristo are up to. And though he loves both sisters, he understands that
his involvement won't allow a reconciliation and will opt out of both their
lives once his mission is complete. In the meantime, he'll maintain the facade
of a perfect marriage with his wife and determine who is truly friend or foe. Suspected of too much gel-ousy, pistol whipping, and
baby-fever. Significant ties to
Alvarez-Castillo fam, Ramiro, Facundo, Evaristo, Soledad, Valentin, Samuel,
Orlando, gel, mirrors, and tattoo parlors ....formerly Jennifer, Alfredo, Gina,

Santiago: Love of Ana Lucia. Gives new meaning to the Walking Dead. Suffers from
Disassociative-Identity Disorder, the Dr. Jekyll of his dual egos. Also
diagnosed with a brain tumor, or more likely a brainless tumor. Likes taking long walks on thin ice, enjoys being cuffed, and will
own up to anything ...including that time he killed your son. Ahh, the old
days ...when he can remember them. This poor sonomabish is rescued by his madrina, Remedios, who revives his
will to start over. He's haunted by dreams of a woman he's sure is part of his
past. In his attempt to find her, he returns to the drowning site, and bumps
into her triplet. Certain she's the one, he stalks her until he wears her down.
They fall in love, but then his memories begin to resurface and he goes seeking
out the truth. He runs into a dying Jennifer, at the construction site, who
tells him his real name. He decides to hit the Googler (aw, not so brainless)
and discovers the truth. He finds his father, but soon ends up in a hospital,
which draws in his past family. He's manipulated by Ana Leticia to recover
their marriage under a 6-month probation, to which if all fails he can return
to his lover. But Santiago can't keep away from Ana Lucia. He's torn by the
love he once felt for his wife, and the new love he feels for her sister. His
memories lead him to believe that Marcelo is a bad guy, and involved him in the
murder of many people. Evaristo attempts to control him & manipulate him
into keeping Ana Lucia a secret, but Marcelo exposes her to Ana Leticia.
Evaristo is unaware, but with the help of his friends Ramiro & Inaki, and
the support of Remedios, Santiago hopes to rectify the situation. By rectify,
that means he will confuddle characters, and us viewers further. He believes
the tumor may be keeping Marcelo at bay, and fears its removal will remove him
entirely. With his possible death imminent, the urgency of keeping his life
from falling apart is high. Suspected of triplet hoarding,
the having and eating of cake, drinking moo tuch Inaki with whiskey. Significantly tied to Alvarez-Castillo fam,
Remedios, Ramiro, Soledad, Evaristo, Facundo, Orlando, Valentin, silk bondage,
s&m bondage, taxis, and ambulances ....formerly Jennifer, Daniel.

Evaristo: El Jefe. The Boss Man. He's the real
reason you watch. The omnipresence of peasants.The godfather of maldad. The
grandaddy of all things thuggish & ruggish. The unrequited caretaker of
Soledad, whose approval & acceptance he desperately seeks. Former associate
to Marcelo in his investigative firm. He betrays both him and Alfredo in an
attempt to get a deposit key that contains documents which may incriminate him.
He is the lover of Margerita, who happened to be impregnated by Ernestina's dad
with Soledad. On her death bed, she asks that he watch over Soledad, which he
interprets to mean: Get revenge on Ernestina. For 20 years, he plans his
vengeance and plays chess with all the characters. His first pawn is Edmundo,
who he directs to handle various accounts, including Ernestina's. His second
pawn is Chana, who he pays to watch over Soledad and Ana Lucia. He also uses
his grandthugs to do his bidding, and has exposed his granddaughter Gina's
criminal past to Marcelo for whatever reason. This will lead to her downfall.
Marcelo saves Evaristo, but is too late for Gina who supposedly died under Creepy’s
watch. Evaristo owes him his life. He is hired by Ana Leticia to kill her
husband, and gets paid by Daniel in order to do it. Valentin also hires him,
after being threatened by Marcelo, to kill him as well. Evaristo gets paid
twice but it's a poor batch job, b/c Marcelo survives the murder as Santiago. He
visits Remedios in order to manipulate her into thinking her ahijado, Santiago,
was a murderer in his past –but she's not buying it. He leaves Santiago alone
until he starts to remember his past and gets too close to Soledad for her
comfort. Ana Lucia doesn't trust Evaristo, but he protects her by proxy,
nonetheless. Evaristo confronts Ana Leticia about killing Jennifer, and warns of Marcelo's resurrection. He's given the job of finally finishing him off.
Evaristo owes Marcelo his life, so he attempts to turn Ramiro and Santiago on
each other, but it backfires. He then just gets Santiago on his side to protect
Ana Lucia instead. He also finds a way to slow the investigation by keeping
Ramiro appeased with Ana Lucia's bracelet, instead of her pictures. He cons
(and physically threatens) Orlando into working for him as a spy to protect Ana
Lucia. Orlando reports what happens at the pension, but is quickly upgraded to
grandthug. Daniel becomes too loose-lipped and is severely beaten to a pulp.
Ana Leticia and Evaristo conspire to finish Daniel off, but luckily Evaristo
witnesses Inaki already do them the favor. Alfredo had the deposit key hidden
in a sculpture for his wife, Remedios. Evaristo sets up a “break-in” to
retrieve it. Later, Marcelo steals it back and kills his grandthugs. Evaristo
is left with only 1 grandthug & Soledad to call family, and suspects Ramiro
along with Marcelo. Evaristo pays a visit to Valentin, and offers to help him
get their common revenge against the Alvarez family. He has Edmundo deplete the
foundation's accounts into near bankruptcy. This forces a fundraiser that will
likely throw Ana Laura back into Valentin's clutches. He's hired by Ernestina
to resume the investigation. He throws it off track by passing Sofia's
certificates, of death and cremation, off as Ana Lucia's. Marcelo is on to his
game and threatens to kill him if he comes near his wife or Ana Lucia, but
Evaristo reveals Ana Leticia for the dangerous maven she is. Evaristo hardly
cares for threats as his end is near, but he'll fight for Soledad and her
daughter until his last breath. Chana has already predicted an illness and his
eventual demise, but his life's value is only determined by ensuring that
Soledad is safe and happy. To keep her happy, he needs to protect the kidnapped
daughter. To do that, he must play chess. He's got all the moves, but no
checkmate...yet. Suspected of being too good at
being bad, and keeping the chewing gum stocks up. Significantly tied to freakin' everyone. No I refuse, I am NOT typing
all that!
Soledad: Ugh, do I have to? Alright, fine! This beyotch....er, I mean this is the woman who loses her child (Sofia) but rescues another child (Ana Lucia). Stricken with grief, she keeps the child after mending her. For some reason, she keeps the child's name which was on her identity-bracelet and runs off to the small town of San Nicolas, where people assume that they're mother & daughter. Possessive, selfish, and fear-stricken, she lives as a recluse in a home her stepfather, Evaristo, set her up with her own store. Evaristo had raised her in his home, after his lover (her mother) died, where she was treated as an outcast by his wife and kids. Although she resents Evaristo, she doesn't hesitate to call on him anytime she's in a bind. Her best friend is Chana, who after 20 years, she finds out is paid to keep an eye on them. She would raise Ana Lucia with love, but also very strictly. She is given a scare when Marcelo finds her & threatens to take back Ana Lucia, and put her in prison. Evaristo intervenes on her behalf, and she is relieved when she discovers Marcelo “died”. But she escapes again with her daughter, when she gets a visit from Ramiro who is investigating 3 years later and also meets Santiago to discover that he's actually alive. She has Evaristo retrieve Ramiro's documents via the grandthugs and burns all the evidence. She leaves everything to Chana, and lies to Ana Lucia about an illness as a pretext. They arrive at the pension, with luggage and a chest full of secrets (the only remaining clues to her past). They find Santiago there and she meets Remedios who discovers her chest, but persuades her to help keep her secret. She is against their kids' coupling, but is willing to go along with it so long as Santiago helps her keep Ana Lucia in the dark about her past. To earn money, Soledad gets a job at a boutique with Viridiana, and Ana Lucia joins a dance troupe. Through her work, Soledad has multiple run-ins with the Alvarez family and gives Nerina permission to spy on them in order to stay ahead of their search. She remains unaware of her blood relation to Ernestina and Leonor. She attempts to control her daughter through verbal intimidation, physical abuse, and fear-mongering. She is slowly losing her grip on Ana Lucia's trust, as Ana Lu begins to slowly learn the deceit behind her past. Her favorite past time is collecting lost children and incriminating news articles, enjoys swimming in denial, and also sells cow dung (b.s.) to anyone who'll buy it. Suspected of styled endangerment and passion foe-paus. Significantly tied to Alvarez-Castillo fam, Evaristo, Chana, Marcelo/Santiago, Remedios, Nerina, Viridiana, Cecilia, Orlando, Maribel, Facundo, Isidro, bed chains, good running shoes .…formerly Sofia, Margerita.

Ramiro: The closest thing to a true galan we’re going to get…if
that’s your taza de té. Son of dirty accountant, Edmundo. Former fiancé
of Gina. Now romantically involved with Ana Laura. Also, bromantically involved
with Marcelo/Santiago. Mother is deceased, committing suicide soon after his
birth (which his father blames him for). Ramiro grows up alongside the triplets. Works for his father, who controls most of his
expenses. He meets Gina, and gets engaged. Marcelo later clues Ramiro in on Ana Laura’s feelings for
him after confessing to wedding jitters. Ana Leticia who hired Gina to distract
Ramiro from Ana Laura, tries to seduce him during a wine gathering and kisses
him behind Marcelo’s back. Ramiro quickly learns what a venomous snake she is. Ramiro
is unaware that Gina has a history as a con artist, or that his father’s support
to marry Gina stems from her grandfather, Evaristo. He finds out the
truth of her past on the wedding day from Marcelo's background report. Despite that, he already made up his mind that morning, realizing his
true feelings for Ana Laura. He lambastes Gina, all the while her lover Mariano
is listening from inside the bedroom. On his way to Ana Laura, he is just about
to confess his love (in the rain) when his papa gives him the news that Gina
committed suicide. Edmundo threatens he’ll cut him off, so he leaves on a 3
year trip to study in England. He returns still filled with guilt, but emotionally ready
to pursue his true love. Edmundo attempts to thwart him again, even dangling
Ana Leticia as bait. Ana Leticia puts him in many uncompromising positions &
leads the family and his father to shun him. Leonor is the only one
who still has his back. He gets a job with Rodrigo, and Inaki helps get him his
own place. In order to reclaim Ana Laura’s trust, he starts investigating the
lost triplet and finds Soledad, but she runs off before he gets any further. He
meets Orlando who tries to extort him for info. To placate him, he’s given an identity-bracelet which was lifted during the pension “robbery”. It’s enough to
convince him to bring money. The bracelet earns back the family’s trust, and he
tricks Ana Leticia into confessing that he’s not a bad guy. Evaristo later takes
the money Ramiro scrambled to get, but instead of Ana Lucia’s photos, he’s
given one of a still living Marcelo! He eventually bumps into Santiago/Marcelo,
and during a face-off learns about his memory loss. They become partners in
paradigm, as he guides Santiago through his confusion. One memory reignites his
suspicion that Gina was murdered, and he looks for that report. Edmundo lies,
saying he destroyed all his paperwork & kicks him out. Ramiro is
unrelenting in researching Gina’s death, and so Evaristo has him kidnapped.
Marcelo comes to his rescue and they kill off the grandthugs in self-defense.
Ramiro confesses his badassness to Ana Laura. He promises to marry her and
reunite the triplets within 6 months. There’s also the matter of finding out
who embezzled the foundation’s money. He suspects his father. He’s also thrown
off by a weird hotel encounter that recreated Gina’s death. Valentin &
Mariano are suspects. He’s aware of Mariano’s participation in
her death, as well as Valentin’s sick vengeance for her. This galan has his work cut
out for him, it’s no wonder Maribel develops a crush on him. Suspected of interrupting UNO games and using pirate
patches for elbow sleeves.

Inaki: Wavers between galan and villan. Ambitious, flirtatious, but
tends to display loyalty when least expected. Bad Gambler and Moocher (when it comes to free rides off of Santiago
or Ramiro, or borrowing cash from the pension familia). Son of DanzAire
clown, Tadeo. Brother to Maribel-chasing Javier. Due to his mother’s abandoning
them in his youth, he doesn’t respect his father and seeks to improve his
station, but often helps his brother impress the girl he likes (Maribel). Works
at Mariano’s real-estate firm, where he falls for Ana Leticia. He feuds with
Daniel over her, even getting into a fist fight. He would later meet Daniel’s
mother, and discover she was the woman who abandoned them all these years ago.
She confesses this in order to get him to donate a piece of his liver to save
Daniel after a tragic beat down. He denies her, but later strikes a deal. He uses her check to purchase furniture and a red sleek-mobile. He asks Javier
to be his beneficiary in case something happens. Fortunately, he doesn’t have
to have the surgery because Daniel dies. Unfortunately, it’s because Inaki
killed him by suffocation, fueled by the hate for the woman who abandoned them
and replaced them with a rich snobby son. A crime of passion, but may not be
the last kill since he is in cahoots with Ana Leticia, as both have dirt on
each other. Luckily, he seems to be protecting Ana Lucia anytime there’s a
chance encounter between her and her sisters. He’s also very fond of Santiago,
and considers him a good friend. Ramiro, however, knows Inaki’s game with
Marcelo’s wife and warns him. Inaki isn’t worried. He understands the game, and
even plays Ana Leticia when she attempts to seduce info out of him about Ana
Lucia. He still gets to bang, without telling her a thang, since he humorously feigns
ignorance. Due to gambling debts, he returns back to Julieta for another hand-out and ends up defending Santiago for beating up Daniel. In exchange for her silence to the police, he'll keep silent about her past to Sandro, her hubby. Suspected of stealing Netflix passwords

Nerina: Mother to Valentin and Claudia. Wife to their terminally ill father, who is now deceased. She employs Edmundo to handle the hospital expenses, and is unaware that he’s embezzling from her accounts to Evaristo’s offshore ones. She meets Gina when she catches Valentin with what she suspects is a dama con compañía. Nerina knows what's up, but Gina knows more b/c she's got the inside scoop on the embezzlement. She expects direct funding from Valentin nonetheless.Valentin asks for his inheritance, but Nerina spent it all on his father’s cancer treatment. Both her children feel betrayed, and kick her out so they can sell the house. She’s left out on the street with nowhere to go except a pension/hostel where she works in Danze Aire as a vocal performer, and at one point encounters Valentin in the audience during one of her songs. He’s moved by the nostalgic melody, but won’t move to say hi to her. She often stays hidden in her room, that is until Ana Lucia draws her out, and opens her up. She feels a renewed sense of purpose through Ana Lucia, and offers to help her sneak out behind Soledad’s back to see Santiago at the hospital. It’s while there that she meets Ana Laura and Ana Leticia, and finds out the truth. She later confronts Soledad, and threatens to expose her lie. Remedios and Soledad eventually pressure her to join their Sisterhood of the Melodramatic Rants. She only agrees because she wants to be able to sneak into the family circle and find out about her son, Valentin. On one of her infiltrations, she bumps into her daughter and finds out from Claudia that Valentin is disabled, and they both want nothing to do with her. She’s hurt, but is certain by her last encounter with him that he missed her and now understands why he couldn’t move towards her. Suspected of nosiness, brown-nosing, and social posing. Valentin: Son of Nerina. Former boyfriend of Gina, and then Ana Lucia. Former contractor for Mariano. Alcoholic. Wheel-chair bound. Psychotic, vengeful, and creepy. Fell in love with the estafadora, Gina. Being that he’s the son of a rich family, she uses him for every coin he’s got. She gets him to grab his inheritance from his mother, who spent it all on medical expenses. He and his sister feel betrayed, and force her out of the house so they can sell it. Gina then persuades him to con his boss, Mariano, by faking an injury and getting worker’s comp. Valentin complies, only he really does hurt himself and loses the use of his legs. Due to his physical and financial ruin, Gina abandons him for a rich man. He assumes she cheated on him with Ramiro, and seeks to exact revenge on him when he learns she commits suicide. He also puts a hit on Marcelo, since she was killed under his watch. He begins dating Ana Laura to get even with Mariano and Ramiro, but she learns of his revenge scheme when Ana Leticia impersonates her and seduces him into divulging his secret. Ramiro also breaks into his apartment to find liquor bottles and trash everywhere, and a wall photo collage of Ana Lucia and Mariano. Valentin later realizes the forced entry and gets Claudia to help clean up, before anyone can return to prove anything. Ana Laura still continues to be his “friend” and co-worker, albeit reluctantly. He hopes to win her back by getting her to practice music with him for a fundraiser. With the help of Evaristo, he finds a friend in Edmundo to cause a bankruptcy. He lures Valeria out to eat, so that Edmundo could cook the books on her computer and she gets the blame. Ana Laura now feels obligated to raise money with him. He owns a gun which he’s attempted to use on Marcelo twice, and Mariano once. He’s defenseless, but cunning. Claudia discloses Ana Leticia's weakness and also mentions their mother, which restores his interest in her. Suspected of drinking while driving his wheelchair and borrowing Claudia's curling iron. Edmundo: Dirty accountant and embezzler. Husband to a wife who suffered PPSD and committed suicide. Father to a miraculously well-rounded Ramiro. Right-hand minion to Evaristo. After decades of developing trust, he embezzled money from both Nerina and Ernestina at Evaristo’s commands. It’s not been mentioned what Evaristo has on him, but he knew who Gina was, and what she was about, years before she even met Ramiro. He suspected her of swindling his son, except she claimed that this time she actually fell in love and it wasn’t for any financial interest at all. He quickly informed Ramiro about her death, most likely because Evaristo notified him. He blames his son for the death of his mother, and blames him for causing another woman’s suicide. He is strict and controlling of Ramiro, expecting him to marry someone who isn’t as “incomplete” as Ana Laura. He sends Ramiro out of the country to keep him away from her for 3 years. And when he returns and is accused of juggling two sisters, Edmundo banishes him from the house as a pretext for keeping him apart from her again. His betrayal goes further when he frames an innocent woman, Valeria, for the foundation’s account theft. He doesn’t trust Valentin but becomes aware of his involvement with Evaristo. She has an apartment and fancy things funded by the Mariano Scholarship of Horny Dolts. She met him dining at a restaurant with Jennifer, and gets Valentin to have them sit together. She follows Mariano into a bathroom where she seduces him. She’d later run into him and Ana Laura when she begins dating Ramiro, and they act as if they’d never met. She was hired by Ana Leticia to distract Ramiro from Ana Laura, but unexpectedly falls head over heels in love with him. Mariano is possessive of her, but she promises that they’ll always be lovers in spite of her love and “commitment” to Ramiro. They’re bound by the secrets they share, including them both concocting a plan to immobilize Valentin, so he can quit bothering her. Valentin sees her and Ramiro one day while he’s begging for money. Valentin hires Mariano behind her back to help him prevent her from marrying Ramiro. Mariano tells her of his run-in with Valentin, but doesn’t tell her what they discussed. Mariano gets Marcelo to compile a background check on her. But Ramiro gets the report before he does, and he hears the results from her bedroom while Ramiro reveals that she’d been incarcerated for fraud. She begs him to stay with her, promising that she’s changed her ways. He dumps her, but not before revealing he was going to end it anyway because of his true love for Ana Laura. After he leaves, Mariano comes out raging mad that she’d conned other rich men like him before and has even been imprisoned for it. She says he was nothing but a wallet to her, and nothing compared to Ramiro. He starts choking her, and threatens her to stay away from Ramiro. She then calls her “boss” over, Ana Leticia suggests a suicide fake-out with pills to guilt Ramiro into staying. She is later seated outside at a restaurant patio where she and Mariano are throwing back-and-forth threats about exposing the other. At the mere mention of Jennifer, he threatens to kill her. We find out he has her writing a runaway/suicide letter to Ramiro under duress, with Marcelo holding a gun to her head. She begs them to let her live. Mariano is fed up, and asks Marcelo to leave them alone. He continues holding the gun to her head, asking where she put the Valentin's money. It's hidden under her bed, and he flings it back to her since she's nothing more than a prostitute. He has Martinez keep an eye on her before taking her flight. She later runs to find Valentin and begs him to help her, explaining that they’re after her and want to kill her. Valentin acts surprised to see her. She runs back to her apartment packing her things, ready to flee the pais as instructed, when Ana Leticia barges in to give her the smackdown of her life. She hired her to distract Ramiro, not get involved with her uncle. She then throws the 2 bottles of pills at her, expecting her to swallow them all in front of her. Meanwhile, Marcelo has asked his henchman, Creepy Martinez, to follow her just in case. We see that Ana Leticia had just woken up from a loss of consciousness, and is examining the damage. The pills are everywhere (so maybe not an overdose), and Gina appears to have died from bathtub drowning. Ana Leticia looks up to see the henchman standing behind her at the bathroom’s entrance. Suspected of contracting Heffa-titis B, as well as not giving a fack --and yet giving plenty simultaneously :O Significantly tied to anyone with a pulse and a wallet.
Remedios: Widow to Alfredo. Godmother to Santiago. Confidante to Soledad. Caretaker of Hostel/Pension. Employer to Suzy. Enemy of Facundo. Made a promise on her husband's death bed that she'd protect his injured friend. She discovers this friend lost his memory. Being barren without children, she adopts him as her own, naming him Santiago. After nursing him to recovery, he begins living at her pension and helps her by becoming a taxista. Evaristo visits after many years of being away to inquire if Alfredo told her anything. When he sees that she's ignorant of the information he's actually seeking, he attempts to warn her that Santiago is dangerous. She doesn't believe this, trusting her hubby's judgment. Soon after, there's a robbery and some valuables go missing, including an angelic sculpture Alfredo had given her which she didn't know held a key. She finds Soledad's chest among the mess, and discovers her secret. Confronting Soledad, she threatens to expose the truth. Soledad uses their children as motive for keeping the secret. Remedios complies, not for Soledad, but for the happiness of their children. She also convinces Nerina into confidentiality. As Santiago's memories return, she learns that her hubby wasn't who she thought he was. She also meets Facundo who looks down on their way of living. She's insulted at his attempt to compensate her for her “work”, undermining the motherly bond she has with Santiago. He threatens her many times, even banning her from seeing her injured godson in the hospital. She helps Ana Lucia organize a welcome home party at the pension, but Facundo shows up without Santiago. He lies saying that his son has completely recovered his memory, and is never to return again. This causes an emotional uproar, resorting her to the extreme measure of asking Soledad for Evaristo's help. Soledad deters her from doing so. Nerina reminds her she has an ally in Ana Lucia, and the strength of their love for Santiago will bring him back. Once Santiago is free of his father & wife's clutches, he visits her & discusses doing 6-months probation with his wife. She tries to have him come back to Ana Lucia, but he needs closure before moving forward. He calls on her again when he ends up in the hospital after a collapse. They find out he has a brain tumor with a ticking deadline. She encourages him to have the surgery, but he's afraid that Santiago will be extracted along with the tumor. She gets palm and card readings from Chana that indicate she's in danger. She doesn't like her doing these readings in the pension, but is unaware of their accuracy. The love of Ana Lucia and Remedios keep Santiago alive. For that, she'll be the target of a very dangerous Facundo, who is willing to just about anything for his son, including eliminating Remedios from his life. Julieta: Wife to Sandro. Former spouse to Tadeo. Mother of Inaki, Javier, and Daniel. She lives a very poor, unfulfilled life as her husband, Tadeo, does what he loves. She is fed up with their poor lifestyle, and ditches her hubby Tadeo, for a rich guy. She hadn’t even bothered to pack, b/c she’ll finally have everything she needs. Oh and by the way, she’s pregnant but it’s not his. She raises her son Daniel with the new man in her life. Years later, Tadeo finds her & he meets her son. He's curious about his paternity. She kicks him out for fear of her hubby seeing him. Her son, Daniel, grows up to be a big jerk and pines away after Ana Leticia like a little puppy. Her husband is always gone on business, leaving her lonely with only Viridiana for companionship. She dotes on Daniel, and tries to persuade him to avoid Ana Leticia, who is just trouble. He would come home bruised up over a fight with Inaki over her, reinforcing her stance. She later gets a visit from Inaki & doesn’t immediately recognize him, until he introduces himself by name. She drops her glass, and jaw. Inaki leaves his address for Daniel to come find him. She takes it to visit him, and warns him to stay away from her baby. Inaki isn’t impressed, but she also warns her forgotten son of Ana Leticia. Later, when Daniel is wounded in the hospital, she begs Inaki for a partial liver donation. Inaki is confused, until she explains that she’s the mother who abandoned them. He takes advantage of this and asks for a huge sum in exchange, no bargains. She is willing to do anything & pays him. But her son never makes it, and despite not knowing that Inaki killed him, she tears him down anyway saying that he’s worthless & only a reminder of the man she despised. This breaks Inaki, but they’re not over yet. Tadeo stops by the funeral, and Sandro overhears the question of Daniel’s paternity. She denies it, but he decides to investigate before he leaves for another trip. She goes into a deep depression, and with the help of Viridiana, decides to get outside more. On her way to visiting her Daniel’s panteon, she sees Inaki and Tadeo there visiting. She decides to fix their broken relationship, and offers him money to spend time with her. He tears up her blank check, but eventually decides he needs her help. She visits him to find out why he stood her up and finds a confessing Santiago there with him. Inaki attempts to persuades her not to report Santiago, and threatens he’ll tell Sandro the truth if she does. She also argues with him that she’s not trying to replace him, Daniel is irreplaceable, but he’s her son too. Suspected of ghoulish behavior and selling maternal services. Significantly tied to Alvarez-Castillo fam, Sandro, Tadeo, Inaki, Javier, Viridiana, her checkbook, halloween candy …formerly Daniel.
Leonor: The housekeeper and nanny in the Alvarez-Castillo home. Secret half-sister to Ernestina, and unknowingly a (half?) sister to Soledad. In spite of Ernestina’s efforts to have her reconsider, Leonor refuses to establish her rightful place as a Rivadeneira. She feels her mother was a harlot, and interfered with the relationship of a married man (should be interesting to see her perspective on Ana Lucia, she may be the key to Leonor’s forgiveness). She has a love affair with Facundo, and he’s offered her to run away with him to Costa Paraiso. Leonor is too ashamed to accept, she forgives him and thanks him for a beautiful experience. He can’t fix the sadness in her heart, but he’s glad she opened his. Ana Leticia overhears the conversation and threatens to expose her to the family. Leonor promises it won’t happen again. She continues to receive love letters from him, but doesn’t open the last one. When she needs to find him, she reads it to find that he’d hidden away after his son’s death and invited her to follow him. She seeks him out, but he’s become haggard and unkempt after 3 years of loneliness & depression. He refuses to forgive her for her abandonment in his time of need. She confesses she’d only just read it, and reveals that his son is living. To convince him, she brings Santiago (who she discovered still alive & living at Ramiro’s place). Facundo is happy, and attempt to recover their life together. They move into Ernestina’s house, where Facundo thanks Leonor for the flowers she’d left on his table …like she used to do. Leonor is uncomfortable with his presence there, but puts up with it. She runs into Marcelo one day who inquires about his father, she tells him he’s left on business. He lets her know that he knew about their affair, and reminds her that she’s not to go near him. She feels a bit threatened, but agrees. She’d only once called Ernestina by her first name to Ernestina’s satisfaction and would also be tricked into admitting that Ana Laura is her favorite by an impersonating Ana Leticia. She has been the support Ramiro needed to get Ana Laura back, often bringing Ana Laura to secret rendezvous with him. And she’d also give up her savings to him, that would help pay, for the exchange of information on Ana Lucia. Leonor bumps into Soledad twice, once to drop off Viridiana’s gift, and again leaving after she’d altered Ana Leticia’s genie costume. Leonor had been welcoming to the frightened sister she never knew. And if only, she knew. Suspected of secret love affair with Funky-do and turtlenecks. Viridiana: Owner and designer of upscale fashion boutique. Employer of Soledad and Cecilia. Love interest and Contracted Lessee of Mariano. Initially sued Mariano for shutting down location. And is even more insulted, when he pays for her and Julieta’s lunch. She’s not afraid to set him straight. Independent, fiery, and perceptive. Eventually forgives him after the loss of Jennifer, and decides to let bygones be bygones. He loves that she’s so opinionated and not willing to give him an inch, this rake sees her as a delightful challenge. She runs into him during a getaway, and they discuss his relationship with Ana Laura and the dysfunctional one with her father. She brings gifts to help boost Ana Laura's self-esteem. He becomes more enamored with her, and offers to give her a bigger place for lower cost. She doesn’t want his pity or his charity, but he offers it as a friend. Later, when he tries to get closer, she friend-zones him efectivamente. But not for a lack of trying, he shows up to every one of her events and invites her to fancy dinners at his place with a chef. She notices how invasive his niece, Ana Leticia, is. She drops in at every lunch meeting or rendezvous, and is beginning to get a clue about this devoradora. She meets with Miranda and Rodrigo about a fashion charity, and we see that Rodrigo finds her attractive. At the fashion show, Ana Leticia insinuates that her uncle is still a womanizer and is getting back with Claudia. Viridiana has to keep reminding her that she is just friends with him, but we can see a little bit of jealousy and annoyance on her part. Julieta thinks that they’d make a great pair, and will soon become part of that family. Viridiana is tentative. She hired Soledad b/c of her intricate embroidery work, and sends Soledad a couple of times to the Alvarez home. She also implores Soledad to bring Ana Lucia around, even sending her an expensive black dress as a gift. While visiting Mariano, she bets that Ana Leticia will crash their party and sadly, she wins. She finds out from Soledad that Ana Leticia yelled at her during a fitting, and decides the brat needs to be straightened out. She reassures her that she won’t need to return there again. Rodrigo: Wealthy Property Owner. Specialty

to couple Miranda and Bernardo, who are also close friends to Ernestina. Employer
of Ramiro. Was Ernestina’s childhood sweetheart, but he was too poor &
thwarted from marrying her when her father framed him as a cheater. The woman (Margerita),
who had been actually carrying her father’s baby (Soledad), was paid handsomely
to portray herself as the mother of Rodrigo’s soon to be child. He would chase
after her to get the real story, until she finally confessed. He attempted to
explain all this to Ernestina through a letter to Leonor, but was unsuccessful.
She wouldn’t read it since she didn’t believe a word. Leonora goes to her bank where
she happens to see he’s back in town after 40 years. He bumps into her several
times via “chance” meetings set up by Miranda’s meddling. When this doesn’t
seem to work, she gets both of them to sign up to an online dating site and
they become interested in one another. One day, Miranda and Bernardo leave them

Wants her to run away with him, since she’s not given her rightful place with the Alvarez-Castillo family. She feels their love is forbidden due to her station, and feels obligated to the family. She’s not brave enough to go after what she truly wants, but is happy for giving her a small piece of joy. He is understanding, and continues to send her letters without any response in return. He gives up after 3 years living as a bear in a small shack. He’s gone into hiding upon his son’s supposed death. When he learns he’s alive, he learns to become more forgiving of Leonor and is scheming to have her restored to where she belongs in the family’s estate. He’s incredibly possessive and controlling of his loved ones. Refusing to acknowledge his son as Santiago, or the loved ones he’d acquired while he was missing. He verbally abuses Remedios, Soledad, and Ana Lucia. He’s superlicious and arrogant in his treatment of them. Santiago is resistant and upset with him. Orlando: Former Best Friend to Ana Lucia. Former crush of Maribel. Adopted Grandthug of Evaristo. Popular customer to the Oil Industry. Greasy, Conniving racketeer, and Bully. Plays the snitch of this series. He’s the guy we all love to hate. His interest in Ana Lucia becomes obsessive and possessive. He can be found manhandling women, and holding up helpless victims for a fist-pounding. He’s offered info on Ana Lucia in exchange for money. He gets beat up for it, which results in him becoming a dirty player in Evaristo’s game. At one point, he feels guilty about Daniel’s hospitalization, but quickly gets over it. He’s interfered many times in Ana Lucia’s relationship with Santiago, earning him many slaps and a kick to the groin. He’s also been accosted by Marcelo and Ramiro on separate occasions for his indecency, earning him the title “dirtbag”. As soon as he recovered from his injuries, he joins Danze Aire and becomes Ana Lucia’s partner to her dismay. Being the professional she is, she goes along with whatever Anibal needs from them, except that Orlando bails on the troupe when he doesn’t show up for rehearsal. He’s been upgraded to an official spy with a car and a mini notepad just like Papa Evaristo. Claudia: Daughter to Nerina. Sister and Caretaker to Valentin. She’s a hired distraction for Mariano, paid by Ana Leticia. She’s estranged from her mother after finding out she spent their inheritance on their father’s medical expenses, which in her mind was wasteful considering he was terminal. Her and Valentin would expel their mother from their home, and then sell it for profit. The money doesn’t last, so she enterprises her beauty as a way of finding the funds she needs. Her current strategy is to marry Mariano for financial and superficial interests. We first meet her when she calls Mariano for a little tryst, and then again when she interrupts Mariano’s proposal dinner to Jennifer. She’s on-call for her brother as well, as his disability requires that she check on him to make sure she’s ok. Her sentiments only go that far. Upon finding her mother attempting to sneak into a fashion show, she offers to get her in as her "plus-one" –but not before insulting her dated attire. She also clarifies that Nerina’s version of events make her sound like the victim. It was Nerina who disowned them for wanting to sell the house and because Valentin chose Gina over her. She also makes it clear that she has no interest in reconciling with her mother. Nerina is taken aback, but inquires about Valentin. Claudia discloses the disability he has, but isn’t surprised Nerina knows nothing about her children. Nerina still has hope because Valentin was her golden child, and he got emotional at her performance. Later, Claudia tells Valentin about this meeting and her dealings with Ana Leticia. She had a lunch meet with Ana Leticia to give her the heads-up that she knows exactly why Ana Leticia doesn’t want Mariano with another woman, and that she knows Ana Leticia expects to get rid of her as soon as Mariano is single again. But not this time, because she plans on helping Ana Leticia so long as she doesn’t get in her way of marrying him. She uses the secret desire Ana Leticia holds for her uncle as leverage. So far, she's helped by making Mariano appear suspicious to Viridiana. Suspected of reading Ana Leticia’s diary. Chana: The town bruja, or vidente. Specialties include reading of tarot cards, palms, tea leaves, and coffee grounds. At times, she messes with her customers and tells them her dead grandmother said they were coming. We like her. She has read and predicted many futures in this TN correctly, although vaguely. She’s very direct and ominous in her readings with strangers. She’s more tactful and sensitive with the characters she’s closest to. She gets pretty dark with Remedios and Ernestina, but offers delicate warnings to Ana Lucia and Evaristo with their readings. Her predictions include Ana Lucia’s past interwoven with Santiago’s, Soledad leaving on a “trip”, Valentin stealing Ana Laura from Ramiro, Marcelo’s reemergence, Ana Leticia being dangerous, Santiago’s accident, Santiago tied to 3 woman (a wife, a lover, a savior), Santiago’s return to his wife, Ernestina’s secret sister & a missing sister, Santiago/Marcelo’s death, Evaristo’s doom. These predictions are of course presented by her without names, and are more enigmatic. She has also used her abilities to throw people off. She’s hired by Evaristo to care for Soledad and Ana Lucia, and begins to develop real affection for them. She was set up to give Ernestina a doctored reading, but couldn’t finish due to Ernestina’s dismissal of her as a charlatan. Has told Soledad multiple times to come clean, ask for forgiveness, and turn herself in, but Soledad’s refusal is firm. In response to that, Chana tells Soledad that she doesn’t get to have the luxury of complaining about her lack of peace. She has her own place (most likely paid for by Evaristo), but is invited to stay at the pension where she can give accessible readings to all the characters. Maribel: Best Friend to Ana Laura. Former Admirer of Orlando, Javier, and Inaki. Current admirer of Ramiro. Works in DanzAire for Anibal with Ana Lucia, Orlando, and Javier. Has always been jealous of Ana Lucia. Second rate to her in acrobatic skills and male courting skills. Feels threatened by her beauty, kindness, and success. Tends to make snide comments, until Ana Lucia calls her out. At one point she slaps Ana Lucia after catching Orlando kissing her. A constant flirt, she's mostly attracted to men who want nothing to do with her. She dates Javier to try to make Orlando jealous, she finally loses interest after Orlando gets too aggressive with her, and Ramiro steps in to give the bully a taste of his own medicina. She's never had a man defend her before and feels gratefully enamored with him. She asks Ana Lucia to be her wing woman to help her get more Ramiro action. She claims to have already fallen for him, Ana Lucia thinks her crazy. Maribel can often be found comforting her friend, but still giving her some hard truths. Nerina: Mother to Valentin and Claudia. Wife to their terminally ill father, who is now deceased. She employs Edmundo to handle the hospital expenses, and is unaware that he’s embezzling from her accounts to Evaristo’s offshore ones. She meets Gina when she catches Valentin with what she suspects is a dama con compañía. Nerina knows what's up, but Gina knows more b/c she's got the inside scoop on the embezzlement. She expects direct funding from Valentin nonetheless.Valentin asks for his inheritance, but Nerina spent it all on his father’s cancer treatment. Both her children feel betrayed, and kick her out so they can sell the house. She’s left out on the street with nowhere to go except a pension/hostel where she works in Danze Aire as a vocal performer, and at one point encounters Valentin in the audience during one of her songs. He’s moved by the nostalgic melody, but won’t move to say hi to her. She often stays hidden in her room, that is until Ana Lucia draws her out, and opens her up. She feels a renewed sense of purpose through Ana Lucia, and offers to help her sneak out behind Soledad’s back to see Santiago at the hospital. It’s while there that she meets Ana Laura and Ana Leticia, and finds out the truth. She later confronts Soledad, and threatens to expose her lie. Remedios and Soledad eventually pressure her to join their Sisterhood of the Melodramatic Rants. She only agrees because she wants to be able to sneak into the family circle and find out about her son, Valentin. On one of her infiltrations, she bumps into her daughter and finds out from Claudia that Valentin is disabled, and they both want nothing to do with her. She’s hurt, but is certain by her last encounter with him that he missed her and now understands why he couldn’t move towards her. Suspected of nosiness, brown-nosing, and social posing. Valentin: Son of Nerina. Former boyfriend of Gina, and then Ana Lucia. Former contractor for Mariano. Alcoholic. Wheel-chair bound. Psychotic, vengeful, and creepy. Fell in love with the estafadora, Gina. Being that he’s the son of a rich family, she uses him for every coin he’s got. She gets him to grab his inheritance from his mother, who spent it all on medical expenses. He and his sister feel betrayed, and force her out of the house so they can sell it. Gina then persuades him to con his boss, Mariano, by faking an injury and getting worker’s comp. Valentin complies, only he really does hurt himself and loses the use of his legs. Due to his physical and financial ruin, Gina abandons him for a rich man. He assumes she cheated on him with Ramiro, and seeks to exact revenge on him when he learns she commits suicide. He also puts a hit on Marcelo, since she was killed under his watch. He begins dating Ana Laura to get even with Mariano and Ramiro, but she learns of his revenge scheme when Ana Leticia impersonates her and seduces him into divulging his secret. Ramiro also breaks into his apartment to find liquor bottles and trash everywhere, and a wall photo collage of Ana Lucia and Mariano. Valentin later realizes the forced entry and gets Claudia to help clean up, before anyone can return to prove anything. Ana Laura still continues to be his “friend” and co-worker, albeit reluctantly. He hopes to win her back by getting her to practice music with him for a fundraiser. With the help of Evaristo, he finds a friend in Edmundo to cause a bankruptcy. He lures Valeria out to eat, so that Edmundo could cook the books on her computer and she gets the blame. Ana Laura now feels obligated to raise money with him. He owns a gun which he’s attempted to use on Marcelo twice, and Mariano once. He’s defenseless, but cunning. Claudia discloses Ana Leticia's weakness and also mentions their mother, which restores his interest in her. Suspected of drinking while driving his wheelchair and borrowing Claudia's curling iron. Edmundo: Dirty accountant and embezzler. Husband to a wife who suffered PPSD and committed suicide. Father to a miraculously well-rounded Ramiro. Right-hand minion to Evaristo. After decades of developing trust, he embezzled money from both Nerina and Ernestina at Evaristo’s commands. It’s not been mentioned what Evaristo has on him, but he knew who Gina was, and what she was about, years before she even met Ramiro. He suspected her of swindling his son, except she claimed that this time she actually fell in love and it wasn’t for any financial interest at all. He quickly informed Ramiro about her death, most likely because Evaristo notified him. He blames his son for the death of his mother, and blames him for causing another woman’s suicide. He is strict and controlling of Ramiro, expecting him to marry someone who isn’t as “incomplete” as Ana Laura. He sends Ramiro out of the country to keep him away from her for 3 years. And when he returns and is accused of juggling two sisters, Edmundo banishes him from the house as a pretext for keeping him apart from her again. His betrayal goes further when he frames an innocent woman, Valeria, for the foundation’s account theft. He doesn’t trust Valentin but becomes aware of his involvement with Evaristo. Suspected of stealing cheese from rat traps and hacking into Jurassic Park. She has an apartment and fancy things funded by the Mariano Scholarship of Horny Dolts. She met him dining at a restaurant with Jennifer, and gets Valentin to have them sit together. She follows Mariano into a bathroom where she seduces him. She’d later run into him and Ana Laura when she begins dating Ramiro, and they act as if they’d never met. She was hired by Ana Leticia to distract Ramiro from Ana Laura, but unexpectedly falls head over heels in love with him. Mariano is possessive of her, but she promises that they’ll always be lovers in spite of her love and “commitment” to Ramiro. They’re bound by the secrets they share, including them both concocting a plan to immobilize Valentin, so he can quit bothering her. Valentin sees her and Ramiro one day while he’s begging for money. Valentin hires Mariano behind her back to help him prevent her from marrying Ramiro. Mariano tells her of his run-in with Valentin, but doesn’t tell her what they discussed. Mariano gets Marcelo to compile a background check on her. But Ramiro gets the report before he does, and he hears the results from her bedroom while Ramiro reveals that she’d been incarcerated for fraud. She begs him to stay with her, promising that she’s changed her ways. He dumps her, but not before revealing he was going to end it anyway because of his true love for Ana Laura. After he leaves, Mariano comes out raging mad that she’d conned other rich men like him before and has even been imprisoned for it. She says he was nothing but a wallet to her, and nothing compared to Ramiro. He starts choking her, and threatens her to stay away from Ramiro. She then calls her “boss” over, Ana Leticia suggests a suicide fake-out with pills to guilt Ramiro into staying. She is later seated outside at a restaurant patio where she and Mariano are throwing back-and-forth threats about exposing the other. At the mere mention of Jennifer, he threatens to kill her. We find out he has her writing a runaway/suicide letter to Ramiro under duress, with Marcelo holding a gun to her head. She begs them to let her live. Mariano is fed up, and asks Marcelo to leave them alone. He continues holding the gun to her head, asking where she put the Valentin's money. It's hidden under her bed, and he flings it back to her since she's nothing more than a prostitute. He has Martinez keep an eye on her before taking her flight. She later runs to find Valentin and begs him to help her, explaining that they’re after her and want to kill her. Valentin acts surprised to see her. She runs back to her apartment packing her things, ready to flee the pais as instructed, when Ana Leticia barges in to give her the smackdown of her life. She hired her to distract Ramiro, not get involved with her uncle. She then throws the 2 bottles of pills at her, expecting her to swallow them all in front of her. Meanwhile, Marcelo has asked his henchman, Creepy Martinez, to follow her just in case. We see that Ana Leticia had just woken up from a loss of consciousness, and is examining the damage. The pills are everywhere (so maybe not an overdose), and Gina appears to have died from bathtub drowning. Ana Leticia looks up to see the henchman standing behind her at the bathroom’s entrance. Suspected of contracting Heffa-titis B, as well as not giving a fack --and yet giving plenty simultaneously :O Significantly tied to anyone with a pulse and a wallet.

Remedios: Widow to Alfredo. Godmother to Santiago. Confidante to Soledad. Caretaker of Hostel/Pension. Employer to Suzy. Enemy of Facundo. Made a promise on her husband's death bed that she'd protect his injured friend. She discovers this friend lost his memory. Being barren without children, she adopts him as her own, naming him Santiago. After nursing him to recovery, he begins living at her pension and helps her by becoming a taxista. Evaristo visits after many years of being away to inquire if Alfredo told her anything. When he sees that she's ignorant of the information he's actually seeking, he attempts to warn her that Santiago is dangerous. She doesn't believe this, trusting her hubby's judgment. Soon after, there's a robbery and some valuables go missing, including an angelic sculpture Alfredo had given her which she didn't know held a key. She finds Soledad's chest among the mess, and discovers her secret. Confronting Soledad, she threatens to expose the truth. Soledad uses their children as motive for keeping the secret. Remedios complies, not for Soledad, but for the happiness of their children. She also convinces Nerina into confidentiality. As Santiago's memories return, she learns that her hubby wasn't who she thought he was. She also meets Facundo who looks down on their way of living. She's insulted at his attempt to compensate her for her “work”, undermining the motherly bond she has with Santiago. He threatens her many times, even banning her from seeing her injured godson in the hospital. She helps Ana Lucia organize a welcome home party at the pension, but Facundo shows up without Santiago. He lies saying that his son has completely recovered his memory, and is never to return again. This causes an emotional uproar, resorting her to the extreme measure of asking Soledad for Evaristo's help. Soledad deters her from doing so. Nerina reminds her she has an ally in Ana Lucia, and the strength of their love for Santiago will bring him back. Once Santiago is free of his father & wife's clutches, he visits her & discusses doing 6-months probation with his wife. She tries to have him come back to Ana Lucia, but he needs closure before moving forward. He calls on her again when he ends up in the hospital after a collapse. They find out he has a brain tumor with a ticking deadline. She encourages him to have the surgery, but he's afraid that Santiago will be extracted along with the tumor. She gets palm and card readings from Chana that indicate she's in danger. She doesn't like her doing these readings in the pension, but is unaware of their accuracy. The love of Ana Lucia and Remedios keep Santiago alive. For that, she'll be the target of a very dangerous Facundo, who is willing to just about anything for his son, including eliminating Remedios from his life. She is fed up with their poor lifestyle, and ditches her hubby Tadeo, for a rich guy. She hadn’t even bothered to pack, b/c she’ll finally have everything she needs. Oh and by the way, she’s pregnant but it’s not his. She raises her son Daniel with the new man in her life. Years later, Tadeo finds her & he meets her son. He's curious about his paternity. She kicks him out for fear of her hubby seeing him. Her son, Daniel, grows up to be a big jerk and pines away after Ana Leticia like a little puppy. Her husband is always gone on business, leaving her lonely with only Viridiana for companionship. She dotes on Daniel, and tries to persuade him to avoid Ana Leticia, who is just trouble. He would come home bruised up over a fight with Inaki over her, reinforcing her stance. She later gets a visit from Inaki & doesn’t immediately recognize him, until he introduces himself by name. She drops her glass, and jaw. Inaki leaves his address for Daniel to come find him. She takes it to visit him, and warns him to stay away from her baby. Inaki isn’t impressed, but she also warns her forgotten son of Ana Leticia. Later, when Daniel is wounded in the hospital, she begs Inaki for a partial liver donation. Inaki is confused, until she explains that she’s the mother who abandoned them. He takes advantage of this and asks for a huge sum in exchange, no bargains. She is willing to do anything & pays him. But her son never makes it, and despite not knowing that Inaki killed him, she tears him down anyway saying that he’s worthless & only a reminder of the man she despised. This breaks Inaki, but they’re not over yet. Tadeo stops by the funeral, and Sandro overhears the question of Daniel’s paternity. She denies it, but he decides to investigate before he leaves for another trip. She goes into a deep depression, and with the help of Viridiana, decides to get outside more. On her way to visiting her Daniel’s panteon, she sees Inaki and Tadeo there visiting. She decides to fix their broken relationship, and offers him money to spend time with her. He tears up her blank check, but eventually decides he needs her help. She visits him to find out why he stood her up and finds a confessing Santiago there with him. Inaki attempts to persuades her not to report Santiago, and threatens he’ll tell Sandro the truth if she does. She also argues with him that she’s not trying to replace him, Daniel is irreplaceable, but he’s her son too. Suspected of ghoulish behavior and selling maternal services. Leonor: The housekeeper and nanny in the Alvarez-Castillo home. Secret half-sister to Ernestina, and unknowingly a (half?) sister to Soledad. In spite of Ernestina’s efforts to have her reconsider, Leonor refuses to establish her rightful place as a Rivadeneira. She feels her mother was a harlot, and interfered with the relationship of a married man (should be interesting to see her perspective on Ana Lucia, she may be the key to Leonor’s forgiveness). She has a love affair with Facundo, and he’s offered her to run away with him to Costa Paraiso. Leonor is too ashamed to accept, she forgives him and thanks him for a beautiful experience. He can’t fix the sadness in her heart, but he’s glad she opened his. Ana Leticia overhears the conversation and threatens to expose her to the family. Leonor promises it won’t happen again. She continues to receive love letters from him, but doesn’t open the last one. When she needs to find him, she reads it to find that he’d hidden away after his son’s death and invited her to follow him. She seeks him out, but he’s become haggard and unkempt after 3 years of loneliness & depression. He refuses to forgive her for her abandonment in his time of need. She confesses she’d only just read it, and reveals that his son is living. To convince him, she brings Santiago (who she discovered still alive & living at Ramiro’s place). Facundo is happy, and attempt to recover their life together. They move into Ernestina’s house, where Facundo thanks Leonor for the flowers she’d left on his table …like she used to do. Leonor is uncomfortable with his presence there, but puts up with it. She runs into Marcelo one day who inquires about his father, she tells him he’s left on business. He lets her know that he knew about their affair, and reminds her that she’s not to go near him. She feels a bit threatened, but agrees. She’d only once called Ernestina by her first name to Ernestina’s satisfaction and would also be tricked into admitting that Ana Laura is her favorite by an impersonating Ana Leticia. She has been the support Ramiro needed to get Ana Laura back, often bringing Ana Laura to secret rendezvous with him. And she’d also give up her savings to him, that would help pay, for the exchange of information on Ana Lucia. Leonor bumps into Soledad twice, once to drop off Viridiana’s gift, and again leaving after she’d altered Ana Leticia’s genie costume. Leonor had been welcoming to the frightened sister she never knew. And if only, she knew. Suspected of secret love affair with Funky-do and turtlenecks. He gives up after 3 years living as a bear in a small shack. He’s gone into hiding upon his son’s supposed death. When he learns he’s alive, he learns to become more forgiving of Leonor and is scheming to have her restored to where she belongs in the family’s estate. He’s incredibly possessive and controlling of his loved ones. Refusing to acknowledge his son as Santiago, or the loved ones he’d acquired while he was missing. He can be found manhandling women, and holding up helpless victims for a fist-pounding. He’s offered info on Ana Lucia in exchange for money. He gets beat up for it, which results in him becoming a dirty player in Evaristo’s game. At one point, he feels guilty about Daniel’s hospitalization, but quickly gets over it. He’s interfered many times in Ana Lucia’s relationship with Santiago, earning him many slaps and a kick to the groin. He’s also been accosted by Marcelo and Ramiro on separate occasions for his indecency, earning him the title “dirtbag”. As soon as he recovered from his injuries, he joins Danze Aire and becomes Ana Lucia’s partner to her dismay. Being the professional she is, she goes along with whatever Anibal needs from them, except that Orlando bails on the troupe when he doesn’t show up for rehearsal. Her and Valentin would expel their mother from their home, and then sell it for profit. The money doesn’t last, so she enterprises her beauty as a way of finding the funds she needs. Her current strategy is to marry Mariano for financial and superficial interests. We first meet her when she calls Mariano for a little tryst, and then again when she interrupts Mariano’s proposal dinner to Jennifer. She’s on-call for her brother as well, as his disability requires that she check on him to make sure she’s ok. Her sentiments only go that far. Upon finding her mother attempting to sneak into a fashion show, she offers to get her in as her "plus-one" –but not before insulting her dated attire. She also clarifies that Nerina’s version of events make her sound like the victim. It was Nerina who disowned them for wanting to sell the house and because Valentin chose Gina over her. She also makes it clear that she has no interest in reconciling with her mother. Nerina is taken aback, but inquires about Valentin. Claudia discloses the disability he has, but isn’t surprised Nerina knows nothing about her children. Nerina still has hope because Valentin was her golden child, and he got emotional at her performance. Later, Claudia tells Valentin about this meeting and her dealings with Ana Leticia. She had a lunch meet with Ana Leticia to give her the heads-up that she knows exactly why Ana Leticia doesn’t want Mariano with another woman, and that she knows Ana Leticia expects to get rid of her as soon as Mariano is single again. She’s very direct and ominous in her readings with strangers. She’s more tactful and sensitive with the characters she’s closest to. She gets pretty dark with Remedios and Ernestina, but offers delicate warnings to Ana Lucia and Evaristo with their readings. Her predictions include Ana Lucia’s past interwoven with Santiago’s, Soledad leaving on a “trip”, Valentin stealing Ana Laura from Ramiro, Marcelo’s reemergence, Ana Leticia being dangerous, Santiago’s accident, Santiago tied to 3 woman (a wife, a lover, a savior), Santiago’s return to his wife, Ernestina’s secret sister & a missing sister, Santiago/Marcelo’s death, Evaristo’s doom. These predictions are of course presented by her without names, and are more enigmatic. She has also used her abilities to throw people off. when he mentions that he'll be “going away”. Inaki never tells him about going
into surgery or about their mother & brother. Inaki later warns him about
Maribel, but doesn't mention her flirty behavior when she noticed his car.
Inaki decides to loan his car to Javier to help his brother out, even buying
him gifts for Maribel to keep her interested. Was integral to helping Remedios
and Ana Lucia find out which hospital Santiago was staying in after his car

Lucia teasing that she should take up nursing since she'll have to care for her
future old man. Isidro sells his land to Rodrigo via Ramiro. Now that he's a
rich man, he plans to settle in Mexico city where he hopes to find the girl
that got away (literally). Suspected of uninhibited voyeurism and robbing cradles. Significantly tied to Soledad, Ana

attempts to clean her room, and tells on her to Santiago who comes face to face
with Soledad holding his past photo. Responsible for not locking up properly,
which led to the theft orchestrated by Evaristo and his grandthugs. The only
person who would interact with Nerina by bringing her meals, until Nerina
finally gets out of her cubby to help Remedios. Doesn’t like Nerina’s cooking.

He was also tasked with following Gina to the airport after pulling out the money she stole from Valentin. He somehow loses her as she tries to get Valentin's help, but eventually finds her at her apartment where he observes Ana Leticia looking down at Gina's body under bathwater. He's later confronted, at his own apartment, by Marcelo for not following his orders and is accused of killing Gina. Martinez tries to explain and also warn him about Evaristo, who happens to be in the next room. Marcelo is blinded by the thought of betrayal and shoots Martinez for killing her. In the room, Marcelo finds a tied up Evaristo, who hugs and thanks him for saving his life, despite them not being able to save his granddaughter. Just then, Martinez's wife and son enter the room, and the little boy asks a guilt-stricken Marcelo what happened to his papa. Suspected of being suspected of killing a female suspect and holding a captive who appears suspect. Martinez tries to explain and also warn him about Evaristo, who happens to be in the next room. Marcelo is blinded by the thought of betrayal and shoots Martinez for killing her. In the room, Marcelo finds a tied up Evaristo, who hugs and thanks him for saving his life, despite them not being able to save his granddaughter. Just then, Martinez's wife and son enter the room, and the little boy asks a guilt-stricken Marcelo what happened to his papa. Suspected of being suspected of killing a female suspect and holding a captive who appears suspect. Significant ties to Marcelo, Evaristo, Mariano, Ana Leticia, monkey wrench….and formerly Gina, Alfredo.

Papa's bro. He's an Alvarez de Castillo, like Ignacio. The mother is a Rivadeneira. She's Lourdes Rivadeneira de Alvarez del Castillo in full. In Latin America, we take our mothers names first, and then follow it with our fathers names or married names. My grandmother's last name was Velasquez on her death certificate and then it was followed by her married name.

I'm so happy you guys liked it :D I'm done with the major players, but will be adding the minor ones tomorrow while we wait for a recap to get going. Hope this was helpful to viewers who were scared of catching up on all the episodes. Although it looks long, this is a condensed version of everything so far.
