Tres Veces Ana - # 90 - The morning that will never end or Where is that scalpel when you need one?

Nerina is chatting with Rem. She feels guilty that her handicapped Tin had to go through all that hardship alone. She must get him back and make him believe that she never forgot him.

Back at Clawdia’s (you guys must remind me who came up with this nickname, because I cannot remember right now to give credit, but it is awesome!), Claw and Tin (with no visible signs of burning ears) are discussing mommy dearest. Clawdia tells him all about the tiny little room in the pension Nerina is renting. Tin thinks that makes sense, what with her being a singer. So you know? – Claw is surprised. And if you do know, how come mom was so incredulous that you were in a wheelchair? Tin can’t believe Claw told her everything. How did she react? You know, put a whole dramatic scene on, cried, how was I supposed to know it’s a secret – responds Tin’s loving sister. We are half expecting a demonic laugh out of her to go along with that happy smile as she recounts making her mother cry.  Tin is much less amused at this cruelty. Claw wants to know if Tin has any desire to meet with Nerina – she promised her she’d check. Never! They are both dead to each other, says Tin. Fine, Clawdia is bored with the conversation anyway and is off to call our dream beau Mariano.

Meanwhile at Tio’s Ana Le has evicted Viridiana off the couch to the chair, , handing Viri her things, and took her rightful place as an arm candy wanna-be next to TioM. Ana Le thinks they should all either go to dinner or else she will whip something up in the kitchen. (Viri better think quick of an excuse, we have a feeling her plate will have a special portion of something in it.)

Tio’s phone rings and he is off to answer. Ana Le quickly says it must be a woman – the pattern is familiar: phone rings, and he excuses himself to answer. Actually, it must be Clawdia. You don’t say Ana Le, but hey, how was that seamstress I sent you? – Viri wants to know. Just terrible – if Viri counted the number of needle prick wounds poor AnaLetMeeee has, she may as well be a pin cushion. Viri is surprised. The only reason Ana Le kept this dress was because her loving Tio paid a fortune for it. Viri helpfully adds – a fortune you bid on it. Ana Le doesn’t see what Viri’s point here might be. Besides, she thinks she should fire her seamstress  - she was sobbing and crying. Well, Viri has an alternative suggestion – why doesn’t Ana Le come to the boutique to either repair or replace her dress? Ana Le tells Viri not to worry about it with scorn in her voice. Tio comes back and is shocked when Viri asks him about Clawdia’s health. He stares at Ana Le, who is practicing her innocent lamb expression.

Suddenly it’s next morning already and Ana Lu is practicing her…bicep ropes? tricep silk pulls? while Sole sneaks up on her to tell her she is leaving for work and she loves her. Ana Lu doesn’t turn around.

Ana Le is having a healthy breakfast with Santi. He points out she came home very late last night. She gives him a hateful look to imply he should mind his own biscuits. Santi wants to refresh his memory on how Ana Le feels about Ana Lu and the semi-incestuous mistress situation, so he carefully probes with what he thinks are innocent questions. Thankfully for him, Ana Le is either hungover or is drinking a giant portion of gullibility with her odd-looking green shake, so she just reminds him to follow their three rules. It’s not that easy to be faking happiness for her either – actually he disgusts her. Well, he disgusts himself, says Santi, he didn’t want to hurt anyone. It finally dawns on Ana Le that it’s not Marcelo in front of her.

Unsatisfied with having shown only half of his cards to our resident psychopath, Santi continues by berating Marcelo and stating Ana Le’s life was much better without him. He knows she and Marcelo declared war, but he hates Marcelo and has nothing against Ana Le, so he is happy to do whatever she wants to make amends for this pain he caused her. Everything? Ana Le is interested now. Well, how about we start with you taking me to my sister? (Wow, tumor surgery for this galan cannot come soon enough. No really, if it doesn’t come soon, we might reach in through the screen and extract that tumor ourselves, as well as set a couple of other things straight in this novela crazy land. )

Viri is back to her boutique and wants to see Soledad. She spoke with Ana Loon and needs to know exactly what happened during Sole’s memorable visit to Alvarez del Castillo? Nothing, says Sole, why – did she say something? She certainly did – she said Sole left crying and Viri wants to know what Ana Le did to provoke Sole.

Back to the tumor boy and Ana Crazy: he needs time before taking Ana Le to see her sister, as Ana Lu is unaware of any of it. Ana Le wants to know if Santi can make her the same promise Marcelo made her: that he will not touch Ana Lu. Not to worry, Santi already told Ana Lu that he is the worst thing that has ever happened to her, and he wants to distance himself to not cause further harm. Well, since Ana Le can’t see her little sister, would Santi then just tell something about her? How did she survive the accident? Oh, you know, says Santi, a nice woman found her and raised her as her own. Ana Lu thinks this is her mother and loves her very much. (We can see the little devil-shaped neurons firing in Ana Le’s brain as she is probably remembering the tearful story of Soledad and Sofia Hernandez. Such a nice detective work on  Santi’s part to make sure he kept Ana Lu’s trail well covered up. I’d like to change the title of this recap and request a baseball bat in place of the scalpel. If you are not with me yet, stay tuned.)

Viri is still trying to get an answer on why Sole cried in Ana LetMe’s house. Finally Sole gives in, starts crying again and recounts how she was humiliated and scared and nervous, and Ana Le yelled at her! (Of course she conveniently omits the part where she was already scared and nervous when she rang the doorbell, but Ana Le did yell, and we do dislike her more that Sole, so we’ll let this one by). Viri claims she will have a serious talk with Mariano. No, no – says Sole – she doesn’t want Viri having any problems, she just doesn’t want to go to this house ever again. Promised, says Viri.

In a third round of giving up all his trump cards, Santi tells Ana Le that Sofia Hernandez was the actual daughter of the woman, who found Ana Lu. That daughter died and she raised Ana Lu as her own. Santiago will tell Ana Le everything, as long as she promises that she will not confront her sister until Santi tells her it’s ok. He  - Santiago – is very different from Marcelo. Ana Le says she noticed, and by the giant smile on her face, looks like she is liking it. The one thing she doesn’t understand is those personality changes. What did the doctors say? Santi looks worried. Ana Le demands to know, she is his wife. Well, they said he has a tumor and may die. (Ok, time for a reality check: Santi was foaming at the mouth that he needs to protect Ana Lu from her sister. He was given an opportunity to tell the truth to Ana Lu, but declined to do so.  Not only that, but he didn’t even tell her about his tumor, knowing that he may die. But now, at the end of his long three year life, he is tired of lying, so he will just pony up the information about the lamb to the wolf and hope wolf isn’t hungry. At least his conscience will rest easy. Doctor!!)

Well, Ana Le, feeling that she hit the jackpot and a little unnerved, fakes a worried spouse and tells Santi she will help him through it. Surely there is a treatment out there for him.

Ram is at Mariano’s for an urgent convo. Ramiro needs to know exactly what Mariano did to Tin to deserve such hate and he is not leaving until he gets this info.

At Tin’s palace of cirrhosis, a hungover sounding Tin with a bottle of rum by his side, is calling Llora to confirm she is ready for the rehearsal. (We would like to find out how a wheelchair-bound guy will be able to get cleaned up, showered, and dressed in time, if he is still drunk and in a track suit.) Llora is excited about the rehearsal, but Tin wants to talk about sending her virtual kisses. Llora hangs up and rolls her eyes. (sure, Llora – doesn’t sound like he has an ulterior motive. Ramiro is insane and there is no reason to trust someone just because he is your boyfriend!)

This boyfriend is still trying to get the truth out of Mariano bargaining with Llora’s safety, which hangs in the balance. A couple of threats later, Ramiro isn’t backing down – why does Tin hate you so much? Because I left him paralyzed! – shouts Mariano.

Santi and Ana Le are still hugging in her attempt to express her humane side. Santi thinks she is too generous, caring, tender and understanding with him – he doesn’t deserve it. Oh, but he is here now, says Ana Le, and he loves her – perhaps since he remembered Ana Le all along, it is her that he loves , and not her sister? No, he sincerely loves Ana Lu as well, says our Truth Soldier.

Back at Mariano’s the news was so shocking that the boys had to take a break for a couple of shots of whiskey.  Ramiro doesn’t understand why TioM feels guilty if he paid the compensation to Tin. Well, Gina actually stole all of it, says Mariano. Not only that, but also left Tin as soon as it was clear he will never walk, adds Ramiro. Ram can’t believe he was ever involved with her, but he also has a feeling that Mariano is hiding something else. As he mentally gets his fight face back on, which helped him so much with this battle of wills, TioM is back in his own memories: left alone with Gina and a gun, he threatened her with the pistol until she told him where she hid the money she stole from Valentin. TioM opened the door and invited Marcelo’s employee in, who apparently had instructions to not leave Gina for a second. Mariano left Gina all the money and also a plane ticket somewhere, and left her there with that guy, who was to take her to the airport.

Abue and Leonor are chatting about life and loss. Finally the search for Ana Lu has come to an end, as they believe she is dead, but Erni now needs to find the third sister. Even though Leonor feels uncomfortable talking about it, they must, as Leonor is also Erni’s sister. Leonor doesn’t feel herself part of the family – her place is not as the sister of the rich lady. The most boring nonsensical conversation ensues that amounts to: “We can’t change the destiny and I was destined to be your maid and deserve no better” and “Well, fine, if you insist, I will continue to let you wait on me hand and foot, even though you are really my sister.”  Although we did learn that Erni’s mother was cruel to Leonor, and that Erni and Leonor did not find out about their familial bond until after Erni’s parents died.

Ramiro was preparing Rodrigo’s taxes and thought he found a clever solution: why don’t they reduce his taxes by donating something to charity? And lookie here, Ram even has a charity in mind: Erni’s almost bankrupt foundation. Otherwise docile Rodrigo bites Ramiro's head off to come up with something else and not bother him with the Ernestina business. Ramiro changes his mind by telling him about the embezzlement in the foundation and the possibility that the foundation will not survive, and he also doesn’t forget to add that under no circumstances is Erni to know Rod is helping the foundation, what with her weak heart and all.

Erni tells Leonor about her conversation with Rodrigo and they both realize that there are three of them – three sisters. Erni thinks the third sister must have been born around the time she got married, so her daughter Lourdes would have been younger than that woman if she lived (so the ages make sense, at least theoretically here with Sole being Ana Lu’s “mother”). Erni must find that woman.

Meanwhile that same woman is crying inconsolably at work and Ceci is startled. (Viri ought to take a look at that – perhaps it wasn’t all Ana Le’s fault after all… ) Sole tells Ceci she is fighting with her daughter. Ceci asks if Ana Lu is pregnant from that married man she was seeing? No, thank goodness no, says Sole – her own mother got pregnant by some man Sole never met, Sole herself was left alone and she was hoping for a better life for Ana Lu, but now doesn’t think that will happen.

If you can believe it, Santi and Ana Le are still at the breakfast table. Santi wants to know if Ana Le can forgive him. Ana Le is willing to give it a shot, but needs more Ana Lu information. So Santi waxes poetic about Ana Lu and her zest for life, her eternal smile. She is an acrobat and dances so wonderfully. When she is up in the air, the whole world stops to admire her in her splendor and nothing else exists but her beauty. (Question, Santi: why don’t you just mix some poison in Ana Lu’s coffee yourself and make sure she drinks it? That would at least spare us this never-ending soul-baring scene of utter stupidity that we have to witness?)

At Danze Aire training session, Orly is missing. Tadeo is outraged at such a lack of responsibility. Orly, in the meantime, is watching Ana Le’s house and recording everyone going in and out. Nerina arrives in a taxi.

Santi finishes reminiscing about Ana Lu’s awesome dance moves and asks Ana Le not to tell anyone about the tumor. No problem, she says. It looks like Ana Le’s watch is inching towards work o’clock, but if Santi asks her to, she can reset it back and stay home with him, she wants to get to know him better. Naïve Lassie Santi can’t believe Ana Le is so good to him. It is because she never stopped loving him, explains Ana Le. Every person has a good side and a bad side, and with Santi and Marcelo they are just separate. Which side does she like better, asks Santi? Ana Le wants to find out and kisses him, as Nerina watches from afar.

Comments:
Producers must be very concerned with the chronic lack-of-sleep problem and are attempting to rectify it by inching the plot forward at a snail's pace... Waiting for Santi's lobotomy now!

Ria- Thank you for taking on this dull episode in such a fun way. I could not believe Santi and AnaLet were still sitting at the breakfast table at the end of the episode. They were there so long that their nopal juice started to separate.

I laughed right along with AnaLet when both she and Santi acknowledged that he's nothing like Marcelo, as he provided her plenty of info to track down Soledad and AnaLu. Sucker! Marcelo is going to be so mad when he wakes up.

I was mad right along with Ramiro when Mariano kept lying and hiding the truth. He keeps saying he's concerned for AnaLlora's safety, but he's done absolutely NADA about keeping her away from Tin. Then he kept throwing it back at Ram that it was his job to do that. I'm surprised Ram didn't deck him.

Ría, Thanks for a great recap. I only saw parts of this one.

Just a couple of thoughts:

I could not believe Santiago giving Ana Leticia so much info about Ana Lucía. He needs to have that surgery ASAP and his new personality(I hope) to emerge.

I was happy Viridiana believed Soledad over Ana Leticia.

Thank Yooooouuuu Ria. How the hell long were those two at breakfast? I said it before, Santi is one of those guys I used to beat up in high school. He needs another one. They blathered on so long I noticed they have the same china I have.

Who is the Main, Real, honest to goodness Galan in this show? If it was supposed to be the tumor twins I vote that Rambo shot those two out of the saddle. I bet he will fish a puppy out of a storm sewer before it is all over.

"surprised Ramiro didn't deck him." my money is on Ram again. TioM would curl up and cry like the little beyotch he is.

Did anyone else catch how MANY pages Mr Pennzoil had to thumb through to get a fresh page to write down Nerina's arrival at the Castle? Too friggin funny, I think of a first grader writing two words on each page.

Ria, thank you so much! It had so much
more substance than the epi itself. You turned it into a good comedy.

Kirby, Mr Pennzoil?? Ha ha ha, too funny. But of course, its perfect for him.

I look forward for the day Viri reads AnaLet the riot act. Yes!!!!

Leticia

Gracias, Ria.

I was shocked at how much Santiago revealed. Didn't he get a hint earlier on? Doesn't he realize that Ana MeMeMe was behind the attempt on his life? He needs that surgery ASAP because while the tumor may have nothing to do with his split personality at least that operation will save his life. They should not wait too long.

I was just as shocked that Mariano didn't find a way to evict Ana MeMeMe from his place when she wrecked his date with Viri. He should get his locks changed, since Ana MeMeMe has a key. That he has yet to notice her obsession with him is still a major head-scratcher.

Orlando will find himself out of a job at Danz Aire very shortly. I doubt that Evaristo will care about that.

Urban- No, Santiago does not realize that AnaLet was behind the attempt on his life. That was a flashback Marcelo had (and he's even doubting Ev's claims because of the baby thing). But, Santi was the one present when she herself tried to run him down in her car, and he witnessed the window smashing. He's also had flashbacks to her arguing with Marcelo in the past, demanding that he NOT search for her sister.

Bless you Ria for this great recap, and I greatly appreciated and understood all the snarky comments!

Lord, that was just painful last night. Santi, of the Supreme Stooopid, really had foot in mouth disease last night. WTH was he thinking basically giving AnaLoon every detail on her sister but her address? And yeah, why isn't he in the hospital prepping for that surgery.
Doctor: I am sorry to say you have a serious brain tumor that could kill you.
San/Mar: Oh no! I could die if not dealt with?
Doctor: Yes, I'm sorry. We need to schedule that surgery as soon as possible...does three-four weeks from today sound ok? You can go about your normal life for now, you might drop dead by then, but we're sort of stacked up here. Work for you?

Ram was on a roll last night...not sure whether it was good or not, but at least we get plot points this way. So we can basically give Tio and Marcelo a pass that they didn't directly cause Gina's death. Someone else got to the dude left with her...are we still voting for Ratmundo? Now I'm wondering about that scene with AnaLoon seeing that guy in the room.

Continuing in the recent TN vein of clueless galans, I was sorely missing Inaki last night. Sorry, I know he's not considered one of the good guys, sort of, but most times I enjoy his manipulations and scenes. Poor Rulli--he had to be eye-rolling those scripts.

Daisynajay- I think the doctors do want to operate right away. It's Santi who's decided against the surgery, because although it might save Marcelo's life, Santi is sure it will kill HIM (Santi). Since Marcelo hasn't emerged since the first nosebleed and fainting incident, we don't yet know how he feels about the tumor and the surgery. I think he'll want that surgery, ASAP.

That situation poses another issue that could extend the series, which is whether SantMarc is competent to make the decision. We know that this could mean that Ana MeMeMe could legally decide to not allow the surgery, insuring his death within the six months remaining to him in the prognosis.

That is probably why Facundo is out of the picture at the moment. He is the only person who might be able to legally intervene in this situation. As angry as he is about the split personality issues, I don't think he'd let SantMarc die.

Ria, I agree that your summary was sparkling although the episode clearly did not shine.

"(Wow, tumor surgery for this galan cannot come soon enough I’d like to change the title of this recap and request a baseball bat in place of the scalpel..." and "he will just pony up the information about the lamb to the wolf and hope wolf isn’t hungry" were among my favorites.

Ahhh, Santiago. Such loose lips! And Ana Let devouring every savory morsel with rapt attention. I can't wait to see what she does with this digested bit of information!

Last night was one of the few times I felt sorry for Soledad. Viri is on to Ana Le but still doesn't realize the whole sordid motivation behind Ana's slavish devotion to her tio.

daisy, I missed Inaki too! Let's hope we have a sighting tonight.

Vivi, I have absolutely no use for Mariano. He needs to remove the blinders regarding Ana Let and yes, he should have protected Ana Llora.

Claudia may possibly be as cold as Ana Let. I did sense some humanity in Valentin though. He clearly misses his mother. What ever did Nerina do to have 2 such terrible children?

thank you again for the excellent recap.

Diana

Daisy: Re Galan shortage. Not to beat a dead horse, but Rulli is beginning to look like a Boyer tag-a-long here, Mr. wet dishrag. Puleeeeze, Marcelo or the tumor, one or the other take him out !

OMG Urban Ant, Good one I never thought of that. Do people ever get Baker Acted because of the effects of Tumors? I'd bettcha they do in TNs..Ja Ja.

thank you, RIa. I was so tired last night that I went to bed at 9.30. I just couldn't keep my eyes open.

I like a long brunch myself. When I go out with friends, we usually are sitting there for two hours. I hope that AnaLetmeed and Santicelo did not bond over the bagels and juice.

Kirby...Yeah, Santicelo is the kind of guy I used to beat up in high school....David, I am looking right at you. The guy needs to wake up, snap out of it, and buy a vowel.

The one who really makes my skin crawl is Valentin..ick. I think it's the perm and the beady eyed gaze.

Ria, bow please b/c your performance here was stellar. I was hardly watching b/c I was going to start throwing things, so I'm happy you helped make this dull epi sparkle...

She gives him a hateful look to imply he should mind his own biscuits
(haha, I’m stealing this!)

Ok, time for a reality check: Santi was foaming at the mouth that he needs to protect Ana Lu from her sister. He was given…
(Agree with everything about this, a dying man comes clean to the wolf, rather than the lamb he’s protecting? IDIOTO!)

At Tin’s palace of cirrhosis…
(Ahahaha, you kill me :P)

...says our Truth Soldier
(Yes he is! And it drives me batty!)

Question, Santi: why don’t you just mix some poison in Ana Lu’s coffee yourself and make sure she drinks it? That would at least spare us this never-ending soul-baring scene of utter stupidity that we have to witness?
(Annnnnnd I’m dead :D)

Susanlynn, I am with you on Tin. Kudos to our dear actor, who I normally love in TN's, playing this character as the drip he is. He blew that kiss to Llora through the phone...girl, you better do more than eye roll. Grow a spine, stop fussing with your hair and tell him to back off the romantic overtones. Or better yet, Ram can do it with that fist of his.

Thanks Vivi - must not have caught that He of the Stoopid is backing off the surgery himself. Someone save this guy from himself already.

Can I just say, I got the giggles watching Oily so excited to get out his little pad and start writing in it. Bless his black heart...like a kid getting a new toy to play with.

Vivi I laughed right along with AnaLet
I thought she was funny too last night. We were all at my place cracking up at the part where she made the joke about the puppy store. And I caught your “business” trip joke yesterday. Hilarious! That would be a great twist & a progressive move for Uni

Jarifa I was happy Viridiana believed Soledad over Ana Leticia
Me too, but only b/c Viri is such a worthy adversary for AnaLet. She doesn’t take any bullmess from anyone, can’t wait for her to give AnaLet some lip!

Kirby how MANY pages Mr Pennzoil had to thumb through
That man needs a shower …or just drive through a car wash with the windows down

Leticia I look forward for the day Viri reads AnaLet the riot act. Yes!!!!
Same! Same! Same!

Urban That he has yet to notice her obsession with him is still a major head-scratcher
Oh he noticed. He had a convo w/ Samuel about her possessive obsession w/ him not being normal. Samuel was the one who reassured him that the girls see him as a father-figure & their only male protector.

Daisy, I wanna hug you b/c you always make me laugh. Both your comments have me in stitches *hands Daisy the COTD (comment of the day) award*

Susanlynn LOL, I’m sure Nerina will interrupt any “bonding” on the brunch table.
The one who really makes my skin crawl is Valentin..ick. I think it's the perm and the beady eyed gaze
Me too, but that’s what makes him such a great actor b/c Carlos De La Mota is a sexy beast and is always, always smiling!

I miss the old days when the galan was immediately recognizable...the guy who protected the innocent and fought the evil..the all grown up boy scouts. These guys still exist in real life...I know a few. In novelas, they seem to have gone out of style. Que lastima.

Thanks, Ria! Anyone can make lemonade out of lemons, but it takes some real skill to turn a turd like this episode into lemonade!

I'm liking Viri more and more. (Am I the only person who thinks she looks like Daphne Zuniga?)

I noticed that the "odd-looking green shake" was starting to separate by the time they got to the end of their scene - green stuff sunk to the bottom, pale liquid on top. I've seen this green smoothie thing before (I remember asking about it in Querida Enemiga, someone thought it was wheatgrass juice), but the separation is a new phenomenon.

Oh, I just saw Vivi's comment that it's nopal juice. Hmm. That stuff's supposed to be good for you. Maybe it will cure Santi's brain tumor. Has it occurred to Santi that if he DOESN'T get the surgery, he'll still die??

Julie...yes, I can see a bit if zuniga in her.

Thanks Ria.

Most of the obvious criticisms of this episode have been vented by Viewerville above.

One thing I guess we know for sure: Ana Leticia is selfish. After Santi's confession that Lassie luvs both Anas, A-Let evil mind went into overdrive as she hugged him. "What if I could seal both his body and his mind away from Ana-Lu?" Perfecto! Would I need to even kill her? Or at least kill her after she realizes that I have won the lottery....

"I’d like to change the title of this recap and request a baseball bat in place of the scalpel." I was right there with you Ria! Thank you for the delicious recap. Santi swore to protect Ana Lu and there he was handing her to Ana Let for breakfast.

Santiago reminded me of Arturo in Teresa. I'm watching it on Hulu and I find it incredibly hard to believe how easily Teresa has been able to manipulate the supposed brilliant lawyer.

It became clear to me last night that the only character with any working brain cells is Viri. She sees right through Ana Let, I'm sure it won't take her long to realize how sick Ana Let's obsession with her uncle really is.

Last night was a parade of dimwits: "Tumor Boy", "Mr. Pennzoil", "Llora" and "Tin", Ram, Abue and her sister maid.

I forgot to mention it before but did anyone else question how Valentin could be sitting on the floor of his flop and be able to get up from it all by himself to get to the wheelchair? Especially after a half (or more) bottle of firewater?

If he is easier on Nerina in any way it was because he was her Golden Child. I know that one well. However, what he and Clawdia did to her was horrible.

Lily I've been rewatching a bit of Teresa too! Just the yummy parts, though :P I think Arturo was a special case b/c he had her sashaying around him 25/8 and he hadn't been w/ a woman since Paloma. She's not the first irresistible woman to wear down an intelligent man. But we can't forget she's intelligent too, and he fell for her mind as well as her looks.

I think Santiago is worse though, b/c unlike Arturo he has ALL the information he needs (her running him over and smashing windows). Even if she says that she reacted out of fear & turned into an ugly angry person since he'd been gone, I'd think he'd see her admission as a perfect excuse to realize they've changed & should go their seperate ways. Instead, he takes the blame for her craziness. It's like I said in the redux, this man will fault himself & own up to ANYTHING!

Yup, both Viri and Clawd might be the adversaries she needs to get her pompas straightened out.

Anna LOL yummy parts? I never watched Teresa when it first aired but since I remember my sister singing along to the theme song with gusto and have access to Hulu, I decided to watch it, would love to know which Epis contain the yummy parts ;)

I agree with you, Santi is way worse. Had Arturo seen Teresa do what Ana Let has he would kick her to the curb. On Teresa they really make a case for Arturo to be vulnerable and Teresa is really good at playing men.

UA I thought the same, how is Tin supposed to get up from the floor to go meet Llora? I'm assuming he calls Clawdia to clean him up. Makes no sense though.

(Am I the only person who thinks she looks like Daphne Zuniga?)

Julie, you are not the only one, Viri definitely looks like Daphne Zuniga.

Susanlynn, it isn't so much the galans were the superhero's and recognizable, they they were...it's just these recent crop last couple years on the traditional weepy/drama type TN's has these guys as just plain clueless. I bow to maybe a very few excetpions, but most no. It doesn't even make sense some of the jobs they have: CEO's, doctors, running major businesses or projects, running estates. But during most of the story they can't realize there is a hand in front of their face, they have NO people instincts and the decisions they make are bone-headed beyond belief. Most of the time I don't know why I think the heroine should fall for the guy...and usually there is secondary guy that is smarter, or cuter, or maybe not so slick and hunky that makes you scream "TAKE HIM FOR CRIPES SAKE!!"

Love at first sight goes in the crapper when the guy you fall for turns our to be plain STOOPID and takes you for granted. Doesn't paint a very pretty picture of the gullible heroines either.

Thanks, Ria. My favorite: Tin’s palace of cirrhosis

Marcelo, please come out and get surgery before Santi gets AnaLu killed.

Lily YES! Girl, keep a fan and a water spray next to you b/c you're gonna need it. I've seen some steamy scenes on TN, but the chemistry in this one is electric! I don't know how far you are but episode 35 and 36 are my favorite. All that sexual tension up until those 2 episodes was just too much. I'll try to find the other yummy parts, but if you type "Teresa and Arturo" in youtube, they're all right there like candy. Oh and I know the whole song to Hembra Mala (Femme Fatale) and to Rubi's La Descarada (The Shameless Woman).

If you like Teresa, you might like Rubi. Barabara Mori plays a bad girl in that one, but nothing redeeming about her. In fact, she's pretty evil and mainly has beauty to work with. Teresa was a nice transition from that, b/c I love bad girls. Blame my obsession with Maleficent as a child, or the witches from Hocus Pocus. Only recently do we see more bad guys winning, and I'm glad b/c Trix aren't just for kids! Let everyone get a piece of the pie dammit!! Ok I'm going on a tangent, but guarever you get me :)

YEah, DAisynjay...what is up with that?

Thank you Ria for such an engaging recap. Last night was a little dull and I too, wondered what Ana Le was drinking. I thought maybe she was on a health food kick with a spinach/Kale concoction. But Nopal sound so much better. Who said it was Nopal? Was that you, Vivi? I've never tasted Nopal juice, but I've Nopal salad and it's yummy.

Ugh...I wanted to ring Santi's neck for spilling out so much information to Ana LeMe. She is just a snake waiting to bite her next victim.

I want to see Inaki. I can't get enough of him. ;)

Cynthia- Yep, that was me. There are lots of "agua de nopal" recipes online. Here are some images: http://tinyurl.com/gltgms7

Those look so fresh and yummy!

Thanks, all. Making it back to patio later than usual. This week is just flying by!!

Vivi, thanks for the nopal juice info - I don't need to wonder what that was any more! Very interesting tidbit of the day.

And Julie, you made me laugh with the comment of the juice separating. The episode really was that dull to notice that, wasn't it? And indicative of how looooong they have been sitting there. Surprised Ana Le even still has a job strutting in before noon and leaving for lunch right away.

Jarifa - ditto, surgery for Santi and pronto! Although it's not like he has much more left unsaid that he could disclose.

Kirby, Mr. Pennzoil - how funny! Thanks for the laugh.

Leticia, I can't wait for Viri's patience to end either - Ana Le will so deserve whatever is coming to her.

Urban - yes!! I was wondering, too, how Tin would be able to lift himself up, clean up and daintily sit in the chair waiting for Llora and her chauffeur. If it's Claudia who does it for him, she needs to be paid double just for the odor no doubt.

Daisynjay, we do need them to bring Inaki back. His scenes are always entertaining - either by his antics or lightheartedness. And this show can use both lately....

Diana, I thought Tin was grieving the separation from his mother as well. It's interesting they show him to be this firm, decisive, sneaky character on the path to the vengeance. It's hard to believe he was so easily influenced in the past by his sister and Gina, which led him to reject Nerina. Of course, you live and learn and his experience with Gina cured the naivete, but made him the embittered man that he is.

And Susanlynn, Tin is definitely cringe-worthy. One of the most repulsive characters in the story line.

Anna, still laughing at this: "That man needs a shower …or just drive through a car wash with the windows down" - how true!

Anon 12:58 - I shudder to think what Ana Let has up her sleeve now that she is armed with tumor info.

Lily, you are so right! Santi is exactly like Arturo. I had a flashback when I read your post - I wanted to slap Arturo most of the times too for being so hot-headed and gullible. Maybe AB and Rulli do have a type together when they play a TN couple.

Julie and Anon 2:36 - I wouldn't have thought that outright, but she does indeed resemble Daphne Zuniga!

Niecie - yes to the surgery for Santi. I think we should start a petition!

Cynthia, snake is such an apt analogy! She will pick the right place and time too.

Just finding this Ria. Captivating as usual. Which the episode was not. By the way, I'd call those pulls Ana Lucia was doing as "triceps silk pulls". People do something very similar with dynabands.

Ah, the green shake! Funny how we all fixated on that. When we were in Mexico for our daughter's wedding, the resort offered all kinds of wonderful drinks like that for breakfast. But there was more than nopal..parsley and lots of other green things and I think some pineapple...well, suffice it to say it was divine. Wanted to jump right through the screen and drink it myself! I'll check out Vivi's recipes.

Ay yi yi...Palace of Cirrhosis. Honestly don't know how Valentin can function as a musician. And keep thinking that his breath must be pestilential. Not to mention the rest of him. Totally yucky in this one, but he looked really fine in Lo Que la Vida me Robó.

"(We can see the little devil-shaped neurons firing in Ana Le’s brain as she is probably remembering the tearful story of Soledad and Sofia Hernandez. "

Ah yes, it was like watching the wicked witch beguile a naive 2-year-old. Most of us have a Giver and a Taker within and try to balance the two. But Santiago is all Giver and Ana Leticia is all Taker and she really fleeced him of information last night. Not thrilled with Santiago Dweebus. Bring back Marcello!

Many thanks Ria.

I like your description of givers vs. takers, JudyB - incredibly fitting to this situation, as well as actually probably to many real-life stories.

I am sorry you had a difficult week, here is hoping the white zebra stripe is not far away. Will be pulling for you.

Glad you agreed on the tricep pulls. It seemed like that was the muscle group she was exercising, but it certainly helps to have the expert eye confirm!

Judy- Yum! Yes, all of the agua de nopal recipes have other stuff added in, and pineapple is very popular in the recipes.
