A que no me dejas Episode 35 (10.28.16) Lies and the lying liars who lie until the truth arrives... all of them fall together.
Is all Elián González again when the DIF's (Family whole development or Desarrollo integral de la familia in spanish) social worker comes to take little Mau with her considering the Murats unfit to raise him.
Little Mau cries
Inés cries
Paulina cries
Chelo cries
Bertho bites his lips but is crying inside
Mica is also crying in the kitchen, but since she is chopping onions, I am not sure why
Gastón also cries silent tears while pleading to at least accompany the boy until he reaches the DIF offices because of his disability and his need for comfort (and translation).
All is denied. Looks like the social worker is deafer than little Mau and doesn't understand any reasoning. For her, is all black or white. No shades of gray. She assures them she can not leave the boy with this family, and once he is taken, they will never see him again because another family will adopt him. Once little Mau enters the DIF headquarters, none of the Murats will be taken into consideration for adopting him.
Finally, seeing all the tears that flow freely, the strict woman allows Gastón and Paulina to follow her car and stay with the boy a little longer.
I thought Inés was going to have another heat attack seeing the boy leave, but she made heart out of tripe (hizo de tripas corazón) and called Alfonso looking for help.
In his office, Alfonso confides Camilo the war that has begun with Gonzalo, now that he is no longer with Inés. It is a war of power, he has Nuria and Leonel on his side, big deal, we are stronger together, we are family.
Later on, settling everything on, Gonzalo, in the company of Nuria and Leonel, declares his 60% ownership against 40% Alfonso's, who is with Camilo. He agrees and determine that from now on, each one of them will look for their own interests. Each will scratch himself with his own nails (que cada uno se rasque con sus uñas).
Patricia interrupts asking for Alfonso, who has a phone call from Inés, and Gonzalo is curious as why could Inés be calling Alfonso and after Alfonso storms out of the office to help his co-mother, he is said that the deal is that a social worker from DIF has taken little Mau into custody until they find him better adoptive parents.
Meanwhile, in the boutique "Oasis", Flavio shows up with a bouquet of roses for Karen, to
a) show her how much he loves her
b) apologize for raping her justifying himself with the "I love you so much I couldn't stop" routine.
She insists that she was too drunk to resist is not ready for a relationship with him but so much he begged that she finally accepts and start a trial, and see if they can be together for a longer period.
Pones agua fresca en un jarrón
In the Olmedos residence, Olga has prepared Julieta's favorite carrot cake (the one without carrots) to welcome her now that she has left the clinic and is ready to live among us "normal people". Julieta gives the girl a box of xocolatl that goes in the refrigerator and flowers that go in a vase. Hopefully Olga won't put the candy in the water and the flowers in the icebox, otherwise, Julieta will break down again and lose all the time she spent in the "laughter house" going back again for extra time and maybe even a lobotomy.
The men have plans for her anyway. Adrián will go to Spain and they will move to Crazy Beach, I mean, Pretty Beach, anyway, this beach is crazy. She rejects the idea but doesn't make a big deal of it. I guess the shock treatments and the cold water baths at midnight worked!
Later on, when she enters her bedroom, starts talking to her father, but this time with resentment, since he was another type just like Gonzalo, looking out for his own interests, and in a rage, takes the picture from the wall and smashes it against the floor.
Meanwhile, in the DIF, everybody fights again for little Mau. Gastón insists that he, as his doctor should be with him, Paulina cries, the worker denies and chaos ensues. Gastón tells the woman that he knows the director personally and would like a word with him to persuade him to let little Mau stay with the Murats. He has some kind of magic, because this dry woman yields and lets the handsome doctor see her boss.
Gonzalo finally goes to offer Inés his help but she refuses. After all, it was his fault, isn't?
She said she was ready to comply to his demands pretending they were Quintana Roo's golden couple but now that all the southeast peninsula knows about his affair with Mónica and the two kids, her sacrifice is no longer on the table.
-What if I can get little Mau back? What if I can?
In that precise moment, Raquel arrives and surprised seeing Gonzalo there, but happy because she can finally release all of her anger, slaps him good!
This is because you made my co-mother cry and for getting the good name of my husband stained in your puddle of mud. You're the most despicable being in all Quintana Roo.
I am sorry co-mother, but he deserved it. Yes -replies Inés- he earned it freehand (se lo ganó a pulso).
Paulina tells Camilo that the DIF personnel took little Mau away because of her father reckless behaviour, while Gastón is talking to the worker again.
Granny high heels came to pick her grandsons up to take them to eat, ejem! poison them against Gonzalo, despite Mónica is not happy about it and they have homework to do.
The kids said they miss her very much and are happy to go with her so far the place is funny. Well, she is not taking them to Chuckee Cheese, but they will have fun anyway! Trust me.
Gastón navigated through the maze of red tape and finally got to see the DIF director, who he knows and ask him, as a personal favor, to intercede and make an exception and let little Mau stay with the Murats, who will take care of him no doubt.
-How would you feel if you encounter yourself surrounded by strangers and not being able to communicate? That's how this kid feel. I am sure Inés and Paulina can take care of him better than any other family you find for him. Besides, all our achievements will get lost if he discontinues his treatment. I know you want the best for him, but the best are those two women who love him very much.
Turns out granny stripper shoes took her grandkids to Gonzalo's hotel with bad intentions. So they could confront whoever was there and mark their territory. Of course, Nuria spot them like flies on milk and immediately took cards in the issue (toma cartas en el asunto), asking security to show them the door.
The granny and kids, well, not both, René, confront the bi-color eyed woman and in a fit, throw her into the pool. Everybody laughs, except Nuria of course, who is now more infuriated and with reason. They all argue about this possessions and what not and granny ends up taking her grandkids with her, after all, her goal had been accomplished. She planted the seed and only time will help it grow...
Now, even if this event was as funny as they come, mother should not know about it, or she could make us stop seeing each other and share this great moments of healthy laughter. So, let's make a pact of silence and keep this to ourselves! Deal!!
Back in the DIF offices, Gonzalo arrived and told Paulina and Camilo that he was going to move heaven and earth to take little Mau with him to the house.
-Well, he is here because of you -said Paulina- that's the least you could do.
Gonzalo runs to the receptionist and demands attention screaming and hitting the desk.
Alfredo gets there too and thinks that with this complicated problem, Gonzalós attitude will not help at all.
Gastón, without any of this, helped us to take little Mau home at least temporarily until a good couple adopt him and take care of him as he deserves.
So, no spoilers here, but as I see it, and with Paulina's history of sinking herself in the mud until her eyebrows in the losing Adrián plan that she is getting accomplished very well, she will come up with yet another plan to marry Camilo and give little Mau the home he deserves and why not, little Adrián too, or Adrianita, as soon as s(he) is born. She will kill two birds with one stone, because Adrián will definitely bury her dead in his mind and will be the winner in this never ending chain of lies where everybody is trying to lie the best, outdoing the rest.
In the hotel's pool, Nuria gives instructions to the staff to never again allow that old woman (esa vieja) and the kids to enter the premises. Leonel bring a towel to dry her off and suggest that she calm down because is not worth the heart attack, Besides, by the time those kids grow and come back to claim their share in the inheritance, "we" (meaning me) will be the only owners of all this emporium and we will kick them out.
Gonzalo, thanks to his connections, got to see the Dif director and tried to bribe him in the shape of a charity donation, but the man, who already knows Gonzalo, saw ahead and rejected the money, using that as another reason not to let little Mau go back with him.
-The best interest of that boy is being with us, Sí me entiendes, ¿verdad? DRINK! (thanks Nandi) -asks Gonzalo to the man.
-Well, thank Gastón, because if was for him that I made an exception and let the boy go back home temporarily.
At home, Julieta enjoys more the company of Adrián that the carrotless soup she is eating. What a difference! Eating here is way better than eating in the clinic. Besides, I love the way Olga serves the rice here, in these piloncillo shapes. I am glad the gelatin molds are being used for something.
She complaints that she will miss Adrián very much but is consoled by
Adrián, who tell her that time flies and 2 years will be over very soon and
Jaime, who offers her the option of crossing the pond to visit her brother one day.
Once all the Murats get back home with little Mau they start speculating who could have been evil enough to tell the social worker the bad conditions that in this house existed.
All fingers point to Nuria, who is the only one who doesn't want the kid here in the house and who would be very happy without him round. ¡Nuria! Who'd had thunk it?
Inés as all mothers is in denial, until she finally realizes that she is the only one who could. Sure, the only reason was to get rid of the boy and she did, a least temporarily.
News travel faster than the speed of light and in the next scene we see Gonzalo furiously inquiring Nuria about doing what she did, that being telling on him to the DIF woman,
well, because you told her about Alan and René, now she took little Mau from us!
-I only did it because I wanted to help!
-But as always when you wanna help, you only make things worse!
Leonel gets there just in time to comfort his fianceé, who he calls "chiquis trikis" and tells her that since she "spits fire" everytime she opens her mouth, the best thing from now on it would be to think twice before connecting the brain to the mouthpiece.
-Well, dear, even when I hate to be yelled at by my father, that's a little price I have to pay for the goal I got getting rid of the mute boy once and for all. I will never share my inheritance with ANYBODY!! (gasp!) Leonel, did you hear that?

Before the Fonsecas leave, Raquel asks Gastón if she could also be "included" in the clan therapy group as a volunteer. Well, you would have to ask Ines, since she is the big cheese there. I am kidding, of course you can join us, the more the better! wink!
Gastón is happy with little Mau here, because he will be the perfect excuse to come visit every day, no será mucha molestia? Said Inés. It will be a pleasure! Pase Ud. después de Ud.
-I will never be thankful enough, doctor! for hat you did...
Here, thanks to someone who read this blog, the Lupita D'alessio song was playing a little lower so we could hear Inés talk with the doctor.
Anyway, the song says it all, because "today I can see the ground I step on, so I can can take a new path" describes exactly what Inés is planning to do now that she is getting rid of that old bag of tricks that is Gonzalo.
And both are seen lost in their thoughts, she in the middle of the room and he before the door, watching silently as if he wanted to come back and grab her by the neck and kiss her!
Paulina and Camilo keep grinding on the non resignation thing and the search of the solution, there is none, I would recommend them to read what I just said before: get married!!
Well, he is always saying that he will do the impossible and this and that, well... marry her!
In the kitchen ther's also chaos, because Chelo, as little Mau's nanny, would be devastated if he goes away. Beto will be devastated just for solidarity and Micaela will be devastated because Beto is devastated. God! Call this a domino's effect...
Maybe the reason why none of the saints is performing any miracle right away is because
Chelo is praying to San Judas Tadeo, master of impossibles, while
Inés is praying to Virgen de Guadalupe asking (with no faith) that in the case that little Mau can not stay here with her, at least he finds a good family to adopt him, making of him a good man honest and right. Is that resignation? Inés, ask BIG! Don't settle with less.
Both saints can not join, it is a matter of "either" or "or"
Micaela is sure that God is behind this and his plan is great better but nobody has guessed it yet (I did, his plan is to see Camilo and Paulina married, even if it is for convenience).
Inés takes little Maau to bed and after making sure he is fast asleep, she goes to the jewelry box and finds two rings there.
Tira la piedra y esconde la mano
Outside, by the fountain, while Camilo is still promising paulina that he will be by her side and bla blah blah, Nuria gets home and is taken by surprise wen Paulina told her that despite her efforts and evilness, little Mau is still here and will always be. Noo!
-You throw the stone and hide the hand, doing stuff taking care that nobody watches, right? By the way, when will you get married? Not that I want to assist, but I will be very happy when you re gone for good from this house.
Todo va a estar bien
In the airport, Adrián goes to see Jaime and Julieta leave to Little pretty beach.
Everything's gonna be alright, repeated both Adrián and Julieta tirelessly while they both follow different paths, he, thinking of his trip to Spain and she thinking of him.
Meanwhile in Spain, another lie falls flat as big as it is.
Turns out Odette never got any place to attend the design school she said she had. The girl from the building doesn't want to take her even as a "listener" (oyente), or someone who can only listen but doesn't have voice or vote.
Back in Quintana Roo, Adrián witnesses how the moving company takes all the furniture from the agency and in the empty place, he keeps thinking, but not of Paulina, or at least I didn't see any flashbacks...
You marry someone you know, but get divorced from someone you don't know
Inés asks Alfonso if he could be her divorce lawyer despite his links with Gonzalo, who could make thing go nasty, and he accepts. Raquel recommends that she takes from him as much as she can but the blond woman wants just "a little roof of 2x2" and that's it...
-Thats it? Really? After all you have gone through with Gonzalo? Ask for more, if not for you for your daughter(s), remember, if you don't take it, the "other woman" will, and we know how bad she wants to get a hold of that!
Alfonso agrees to fight for at least what she is entitled to according to the law, no more, no less.
And in another part of the city, Gonzalo went to see the president of Puerto Esperanza, to try to convince him to help him in the little Mau's issue. Not after you tried to bribe the DIF director I can't. C'mon, you would have done the same!! Sí me entiendes, ¿verdad? DRINK!
Thanks God I won't see Gonzalo's face when he finds out about the divorce until monday!!

Once, just once, I want someone to catch Nuria in the act of harassing Mauricio. I want Camilo to hear and record her saying that she will inherit everything after getting rid of the competition. May she and Leonel screw up big time in the next dozen episodes.

The carrot thing is an inside joke I make every time I can since that episode where Julieta made a very big deal when Olga made some vegetable soup for Adrian that had carrots in it and she threw it in the sink, ordering the girl to go to the market and get fresh vegetables and start another soup from scratch arguing that Adrián didn't like carrots. And some think she is not crazy!! Want more proof?

That could have been funny, and more if it was at a boiling point, but they're probably saving that scene for another time, and maybe for another enemy. Someone Julieta hates more than just a clueless maid.

Aside from the DIF scenes, who always look like mean jerks in tns, there were many good scenes this episode. Loved Raquel slapping the taste out of Gonzo's lying mouth; Raq urging Ines to take the Gonz for what's rightfully hers; Rene pushing Nuria into the pool; Gason successfully getting a reprieve for Mau, while the Gonz struck out (and made things worse); and Ines giving Gaston a hug and kiss on the cheek. He could barely walk after that. So cute.
Very worried for Karen who is not listening to that little voice in her head that's yelling at her that this Flavio situation is all wrong.

Yes. The only thing that I like from this novela is that a lot of stuff happens and every episode ends with something new and/or unexpected.

Pablo- I think each season was around 70 episodes, but I'm only guessing that by dividing the total number of episodes. It might be that season 1 is shorter than the second. Don't want to poke around too much online because that would lead to seeing spoilers.

I'm with you, Urban, on Nuria getting caught terrorizing little Mau. Pau should have a camera put in his room, a child monitor or something now that they know Nuria was behind blabbing to the Social Worker. Pau should stop and think about when Mau was first missing and put two and two together.
Absolutely no spoiler but it would be kind of refreshing if Camilo eventually won Pau over and Adrian got caught in the middle of two nut jobs that won't even let him pee by himself.
Vivi, this on what you want from Juli is priceless and I concur: All I want from her is two things-- for her to admit how she stopped the wedding, and for her to realize Odette is trying to sink her claws into Adrian, and fly at her like a rabid monkey.
