Tres Veces Ana #105: Marcelo Turns Marshmallow; Ana Laura Remains A Maddeningly Maniulpulated Mark

At the restaurant, meanwhile, the two cons keep conning the consternating concerned.  Ana Laura’s credulity is mind numbing as she once again takes Valentin’s word over Ramiro’s and takes her sister’s lude, crude street-urchin (or more like ‘New Jersey Whore’) act as the missing Ana Lucia for gospel.  This Ana Lucia is a nasty, greedy, money-grubbing, bitter slut and 180◦  out of sync with the real Ana Lucia.  She proceeds in telling Ana-makes-me-weary-like-she-should-be-more-leery-Lora the truth but with a nasty, sleazy twist.  A Lora wants to help her sister become a better person, to see the error of her ways now, to take the moral high ground now that she knows she’s their sister.  (Get a damned puppy!)

This A Lucia resents she got cheated out of growing up on the right side of the tracks.  Doesn’t matter to her whether SantiMarco was married or not.  She was happy to be his lover and even suggested it!  She could give a rat’s rump what any of them, especially, Ana Leticia thinks about it, too!  “—Why should I always come out the loser in all of this, anyway?????”

At the same time, Soledad has a visit from Viridiana.  She has faith in Sole that despite doing such an unforgivable thing, she’s not a bad person deep down.  She’s still on her side (especially if it means being on the opposite side of Mariano).

Julieta visit’s Vi’s dress shop and is rude to Ceci while waiting for her friend to give her a hand out and a place to stay.

Back at the restaurant, New Jersey Shore Whore implies Ana Leticia was an insulting, arrogant bitch; but she managed to hold her own with her.  A Llora makes tearful apologies;  she’s mortified things have turned out this way.  Shore Whore hits a bulls-eye when she accuses Ana Llora of being a ball-baby, suffering from depression and in serious need of professional help.  Then comes the zinger she was waiting to shoot all along: “—The only thing about this new family of mine is the inheritance left me after my parents died!!” “—And us???”  “—You could all drop over dead tomorrow and it wouldn’t phase me a bit.  I don’t need you or want you in my life.  Got it?”  A Llora can’t believe how her living apart from them all these years has warped her outlook on life.  She balls unbearably for Shore Whore, who tells her she’s sooooo sorry she didn’t turn out to be what A Llora had hoped for.

In the meantime, Ram gives his statement to the cops.

Vile-tin comes in to play the sounding board for his mark and to stick the knife even further into Ramiro’s back, letting her believe only twisted reasons for his having kept quiet about Ana Lucia all these months and having lied about paying a ransom for A Lucia’s fake i.d. bracelet he gave her.   Vile TinTin convinces her that Ram and the rest of them take her for a nitwit.  He coaches her to “put a stop to it once and for all.”

Parte 2

At the hospital again Rodrigo and Marcelo chat.  Marco learns about the suicide and calls the man a coward.  Rod mentions he was getting ready to leave the country.  Marco says it was no doubt due to realizing he’d gotten into the lock box and the facts of what he’d done would sink him.  Rod’s gotten Valeria released.  However, Rod’s not given his attorneys the documents yet because once they have them, Facundo will become a hunted dog.  What does Marco want to do?   Marco remembers Remedios’s reminding him what a cold bastard his daddy is.  He tells Rod to go ahead and give the documents to his lawyers to do what needs to be done.

A Llora tells a “shocked” Vile-tin what was discussed during her and Shore Whore Lucia’s chat while Ram cries on Marco’s shoulders about his dad and all the guilt Edmundo laid on his shoulders all his life.  Marco tells him his mother’s death wasn’t his fault and not to blame himself.  He now knows Gina was murdered by his papi.  Ram tells him it’s important for him not to wait any longer to have his operation—we assume for their friendship.

At Rem’s Rooming House, Javier gives Maribel what for about leading him on cuz once this Ramiro guy gives Orlando a big scare, she falls madly in lust with him.  Bel is bad and sneers at how Javi got made mincemeat by Orly instead.

Vi returns to the shop and Ceci tells her what a pain Julieta has been while waiting on her.  Julieta tells her how the hubster brought his long-time Brazilian babe home, brazenly made out with her in the living room and installed Brazilian Babe in his bed and in her bedroom then through Julieta out onto the street without a dime or a stitch of clothing.

At the hospital, Tadeo pays Rem a visit.  They commiserate over the loss of Santi and Iñaki growing away from them.

Outside the rooming house, Yaki tells Jav he’s of course going to pay off Orly.  He won’t tell his brother, though, where the money came from (natch).  He lies and says it came from gambling at the horse track again.  He also reinforces the lie that the old man he was dumping off a cliff died by himself.  Yaki had no part in it….he wouldn’t lie, now would he?  Well, says Javi, be very cautious around Orly because he is a murderous bum.  “--Call me once it’s over, ok?”

A Llora is resigned to fix things between her two sisters.  She’s going to make certain that Shore Whore Lucia remembers the past and remembers the love she once felt for them.  (Vile-TinTin better watch out or this will blow up in his face, big time, me thinks.)

Santi begs Marcelo to let him out of his cage.

Ernie and Leo discuss poor Ana Lucia’s predicament in feeling she now has to renounce her long lost family again.

Parte 3~~

Ramiro keeps trying to get hold of A Llora but she’s purposely ignoring his calls and turns off her cell.  Once home, she goes into the cellar to wander through the childhood toys.  She’s angry as all get out tosee they’ve been thrown out by Abue.  She screams at Leo about how the family treat her like an invalid and like a child.  She’s never going to forgive this.

Outside in the patio at the rooming house (Viewerville assumes), A Lucia tells Mo why she decided to give up frequenting the new family.  (It’s a freak show, we know.)  Mo doesn’t agree.  (Mo doesn’t see things the same way A Lu and Viewerville apparently do.)  She doesn’t want them to divorce on account of her.  She’ll always love him too, so nope.  She’s done with them all.  Mo advises that SanMarco has already signed the papers.  She reminds him that A MiMi has not.  She never will, either, no matter what Unky Mo tries.  Besides, she tells him, the two of them have made their peace.  “—One of us two has to lose and it has to be me.”

The new Marco pays a visit to Rem in the hospital now.  He thanks her for saving his life.  He feels terrible for having nearly shot her dead himself.  He admits she’s been right about one things she told him: that he cannot continue living with all this hatred.   She tells him not to be afraid any longer and to know she’s still on his side.  She knows he’s been hurt but that he’s got to let it go and get rid of the bitterness inside.  He starts crying.  She tells him to stop fighting himself.  Marcelo folds like a wet paper towel.

Thanks for part 1 Jardinera!

I ff thru all of ALlora's scenes with ALet and Tin Tin. Too frustrating watching her believe everything she was fed.

Ghoulieta deserves all she is getting, treating Cecelia like she was trash.

Marcelo and Santi seem to be converging without the op.

Poor Ram pleading with Marcelo not to die was sad. Poor guy can't bear to lose anyone else.

AnaLucia is frustrating me too.

Ohh Haa Thank You so much Jardinera. now for some fun:

OK I give up. I know when I am defeated, and I am. I no longer care whether LLLaaura Waaaaaa laughs or cries or wheels herself and Hot Wheels over a cliff. I DO NOT CARE.

Trying to empathize with her is akin to being hurt cause your Pet Rock forgot your Birthday. I’m done. She believes Wheel Dog over Ramiro? I guess she thinks , say the Britannica, unabridged, is wrong because of something on TMZ, too right?

I watched for a while, then found something more interesting to do while she was on. If I came back and she was still on, I went back to cleaning the bathroom and vacuuming.

I think we give these TN writers the benefit of the doubt in that we go along without question with the tremendous fertility of TN girls, and the Pandemic of brain tumors affecting Latin America. But to believe someone with little enough horsepower upstairs to believe Hot Wheels without question, is supposedly able to feed and clothe herself is just asking more than the normal imagination can muster. Next….

And to add insult to injury, Ana-Of-NoBrain refuses to answer Ramiro when he calls. The best guy in Ciudad D.F. from what it appears, and he just watched his Pop pop his brains out and could probably,...maybe...just...hopefully use his Luuuurrrrve to cry on HER shoulder once.

D O N E...Find a normal chick Ram.

Jardinera, an exceptional recap of a fascinating, pivotal episode.

"the two cons keep conning the consternating concerned" was fabulous and my favorite of many.

I always enjoy your observations. "She’s still on her side (especially if it means being on the opposite side of Mariano)" was particularly poignant and astute.

"Julieta visit’s Vi’s dress shop and is rude to Ceci while waiting for her friend to give her a hand out and a place to stay". I underestimated Viri who seems to be drawing down on their luck friends and acquaintances like moths to a flame. Viri may not be soft and especially sweet on the exterior but she has a good heart and she accepts without judgment. Very rare qualities indeed.

Up until now, I always excused Ana Laura for being gullible due to her sweet and trusting nature. But, this was too much. If I were in her place, I might not have seen through the grifter tag team of Ana Let and Valentin, but I hope I might have had some faith and confidence in the love of my life to explain. Here Ramiro is hurting beyond words and she won't even answer the phone. But what really has me upset is that instead of venting her anger on those who deserve it (Ana Let and Val), she is taking it out on her abuela and Ramiro. I wish she would see the real Ana Lucia having a heart to heart with their tio so she could realize what a fool she has been played for.

Carvivlie, "Marcelo and Santi seem to be converging without the op". They do. Wouldn't it be nice to merge the best qualities of both without surgery? My eyes filled when Rem "... tells him to stop fighting himself. Marcelo folds like a wet paper towel". Great line Jardinera.

So many events are about to unfold. I'm anxiously waiting for Monday to see if the preview we saw is actually going to play out.

Thanks again Jardinera!

Diana

Jardinera, wanted also to mention that your title was stellar too.

Diana

Thanks Jardinera for part 2!

Do we know how Ram surmised that his dad murdered Gina?

That preview of Monday looks amazing.

Great job, Jardinera. I loved your title, and the Ana-makes-me-weary-like-she-should-be-more-leery-Lora reference. Ain't it the truth! And yes get a damned puppy! You'd think Tin would be her pet project. I loved how Marc was a shoulder to cry for Ram, but then went to his madrina to get his own shoulder to cry on. Btw I didn't see anything that indicated Ramiro now knows that his dad killed Gina. I re-watched it just in case, and even checked the transcripts. This is the only thing I found:

Ramiro: Me siento como--como si estuviera reviviendo la misma pesadilla que cuando Gina murió.
(I feel as - as if I'm reliving the same nightmare when Gina died.)
Marcelo: No, no, no, no, Ramiro, no. Tú ahora sabes que ella en realidad no cometió un suicidio.
(No, no, no, no, Ramiro, no. You now know she actually did not commit suicide.)
Ramiro: [Solloza] Y mi mamá sí lo hizo. A los pocos meses de que yo nací, se tomó unas pastillas y se quedó dormida, junto a mi cuna, ya nunca despertó.
([Sobs] And my mom did. A few months into my birth, she took some pills and she fell asleep,
next to my crib, and she never woke up)

Marcelo: No es tu culpa, Ramiro, no es tu culpa. Lo que tus padres hicieron fue decisión de ellos.
(It's not your fault, Ramiro is not your fault. What your parents did was their own decision.)

I think he "now" knows Gina didn't commit suicide b/c, after so many years of believing otherwise, it wasn't until Marc & Tio admitted the suicide letter was a fake that Ram felt compelled to re-open the case. The "now" isn't the immediate now, but just the current now. Unless there's another scene I missed, can anybody tell me?

Am I the only one than seriously cannot stand any of the characters on this show. I guess Ana Lucia is ok, but barely. And all the other supposed 'good' characters bug me too. Even the ones like Leonor. I mean for crying out loud, what are you a martyr to your mother's mistake. Ugh. And Ramiro is an idiot...most of all for being in love with Ana Laura who is annoying as dirt. Yup, I can't stand any of them.

It would be fine with me if they ALL die at the end of this. I will say it is a testament to the great acting of AB that I'm still watching this at all, cause that is about the only reason why. Well, that and the shower scenes of SR. ;). But seriously, who wrote this crap?! Ay yi yi.

Gracias, Jardinera.

Now that Evaristo is dead does anyone else know that Ratmundo murdered his own wife and she didn't commit suicide (The only person who might logically know is Facundo)? As hard as that would be for Ramiro to take he needs to know this. It puts another hashmark on Why Ratmundo Belongs in Hell and Ramiro can stop blaming himself for anything.

I'm also angry with Ana Laura for believing TinTin (although I hate nicks) over Ramiro. This is going to make Ramiro's recovery even more difficult. But I hope the writers help by having Ana Laura go really ballistic at Ana MeMeME when she finds out what she and TinTin did.

SantMarc seems to be getting better psychologically and I don't think the brain tumor has anything to do with this. However, since it will be a while before Ana Lucia and Ana Laura get over what has just happened to attempt to ruin both their lives and that is the time SantMarc needs to get the surgery and treatment. Again, I have expect that the writers will pull a fast one on us and have another test which will result in "The other X-ray machine had a malfunction; there's no tumor!"

More later.

Thank you, Jardinera, for an outstanding recap of what I found to be a tedious and boring episode.

I am sooo sick of Ana Laura always being ready to believe the worst out about her fiancé Ramiro. Ramiro needs somebody better. She deserves that slime Valentín.

I missed the preview but I am hoping for some definitive even if it is "life/death" action. This thing needs to get moving.

Jardinera - Priceless. I laughed so at the Shore Whore characterization of AnaLe's faked presentation of AnaLu.
Poor Angelique had a fourth role to learn. I also enjoyed your take on AnaLu's and Viewerville's perception of the "freak show" that is Ernestina's mansion. Hard to disagree as things get even crazier for its inhabitants.

As for AnaLaura, I do hope that this latest fall into complete dumbness results in a good plot twist, as Urban suggests. Her character feels beyond redemption and not worthy of Ramiro's devotion. I do recall Chana telling Ramiro that he would be the key to the solution of the triplet puzzle and something about AnaLau being there with him. We can only hope. I must say that the contrast between her falling into the con and him nearly losing his mind with grief was well done and signals, I pray, a better end than the separation I am imagining.

Great point that Viridiana is both good-hearted and enjoying once more getting back at Mariano. Love works in mysterious ways. It remains frustrating to hear Soledad make her crime all about her needs and destiny.

Call me a total sap, but I was very much moved by the "bromance" between Ramiro and SantMarc and the latter' surrender to Remedios' love. This signaled a turning point for Marcelo, made more explicit with his statement to Santiago to let him recover his personality. Yes, he is psychologically healthier, Urban. Now for the surgery, please!

We now know that Rat killed his wife, but I can't recall how. Duh.. Was it in the conversation between Rodrigo and Marcelo? It almost had to be, it was not Rat to Ram.

toa (the other alzheimer)

ana Laura doesn't deserve Ramiro. She'll always believe ANYTHING others say about him. She never trusted him and has proven this over and over and over.

>>>Marco tells him his mother’s death wasn’t his fault and not to blame himself. He now knows Gina was murdered by his papi.
What? He said 'now you know Gina was murdered, she didn't kill herself', but the identity of the killer hasn't been discussed openly. Evaristo suggested it was Ratmundo, but we haven't seen the flashback yet. He also suggested Ratty killed his wife (Ram's mother) and made it look like a suicide, but the motive isn't clear. What was he to gain from that?

Ana Laura is the ultimate AnaME,ME,ME!!
Ram's dad may have been a disgusting Rat(mundo), but he loved him.He saw him kill himself. Laura is not there to support him. She was fed lies and devoured them like a Michelin restaurant dish. Selfish puta!

"The other X-ray machine had a malfunction; there's no tumor!"

More later.

And his nosebleeds are because Remedy still TREATS him like an eight year old.

toa

Miguel and Michelle: See above, search for "pet rock". We three are on the same page.

>>We now know that Rat killed his wife, but I can't recall how. Duh.. Was it in the conversation between Rodrigo and Marcelo? It almost had to be, it was not Rat to Ram.

Ratmundo and Evaristo. The latter said Ratmundo's only talent was to fake suicides.

Most likely Rat did all of it but we have not seen any flashback and Rat never said anything when Ev accused him. We don't have definitive corroboration of any of it. To me it's still possible Fac could have murdered Gina, just bec why not?

Miguel Thanks. That's IT.! So Viewerville is pretty sure both Gina and Mrs. Rat were killed by Mr. Rat, but none of the living in our show know. Yikes.

Finally catching up with the week after being out of town! The first part of my trip was slower and I had a chance to stay somewhat caught up. but things snowballed after and here I am finally finishing episodes. Thank you very much this week's recappers who I didn't get a chance to thank yet- Anna and Sneaky, your recapping was top notch as usual.

Cynthia - a very special thank you for filling in this week! Just got a chance to read your fantastic recap - you did not miss a single detail!! You are a natural and I hope we get to read your work more and more often!

Last but not least - Jardinera, great job as usual! I, too, found "Shore Whore" very amusing and very apt!

This episode was very interesting, we are definitely inching towards finale. I bet our Llora is going to be mad at herself for sending Ram's calls to voicemail once she finds everything out...which may not be until finale. And how long now till Llora and Abue compare notes and find out that Ana Lu was supposedly in two places at the same time!

Ratmudo's facial expression during the conversation with Evaristo showed us that Ev was right. As to the motive for killing Mrs Rat, I think it was because she had found him out. He waited until after Ramiro was born, then faked her suicide and Gina's later on. Gina might have been beyond his control or maybe she threatened to out him, too.

The only two who could know that reason might be Valentin and Facundo; the latter is more likely. Valentin still seems to be delusional about Gina.

I don't fault Ernestina and Leonor for getting rid of all the toys and kiddie clothes. They should have done that years ago. Their timing wasn't good in view of what has just happened, but the writers gave themselves a reason to have Ana Laura angry enough to delay her discovery of the truth by a few more episodes.

Urban. Succinct and well thought out as usual. Thanks

You're welcome.

Thanks, Jardinera. Your recap is a lot of fun, unlike this episode. Ana-makes-me-weary-like-she-should-be-more-leery-Lora - you said it!

So Ana Laura is upset because everybody treats her like a kid, but she can't pick up the phone and talk to Ramiro or go upstairs and talk to her sick abuela about their actions. And she yells at Leonor. Grrrh!

My favorite moments were the bromance between Ramiro and SantiMarc. DZ sure looks handsome with the beard. So that's just one day's growth?

I thought Julieta might be changing for the better, but then when Viri asked her which of her employees she'd talked to, Julieta said "I don't take note of employees" (peons). Still a B.

Thank you Jardinera for your excellent recap. Loved your comment on "Jersey Shore Whore", it's so fitting.

Ria, it was my pleasure to write for last Wednesday. I really enjoyed it. Thank you for moving the recap from the comments to the front.

Urban, I too am angry with Ana Llora for being so gullible. A woman who loves her fiance or husband does not believe other people before she speaks to the fiance/husband. She should have said, "I don't know what Ramiro's reason was for keeping this information to me, but I am sure I need to speak with him first instead of jumping to conclusions." Ana MeMe dressed as AnaLu and Tin Tin are ENJOYING making a fool of her.

I did enjoy Ana Laura getting angry and walking out of the house after she discovered all the little girl memories had been thrown out. I am ready for her to stand up for herself, get mad at Tin Tin and Ana MeMe when she discovers what really went on and their quest to fool her because they think she is so dumb.

It's more than thinking she is dumb; it's that Ana MeMeME is gaslighting her.

As selfish as Ana MeMeME actually is I don't know whether she can make herself kill Ana Laura. Or perhaps it would be more fun for her to drive her to suicide. However, she probably realizes she can't do the latter to Ana Lucia. With 11-12 episodes left I hope the writers don't have her impersonating Ana Laura in front of Ana Lucia before this is over. And if they do this I want to see her get caught in the act.

Oops, Julieta told Cecelia, not Viri, that she doesn't notice employees. So Viri still hasn't see her friend's crappy side.

TinTin doesn't even value AnaLaura as a friend, much less someone he's supposed to be in love with. If he did, he'd have a twinge of guilt about hurting her, but he's so consumed with avenging "sweet" Gina and blaming everyone else for his problems. I hope we at least get the pleasure one day of seeing AnaLaura turn on him.

I don't feel as sorry for Ana Laura because she was complicit with AnaLe when AnaLe imitated AnaLaura to talk to SantMarc, after Ramiro confided in Ana Laura, And she didn't even feel the need to apologize to Ramiro about it. Basta!

I agree that AnaLetecia is unlikely to kill AnaLau. She has had ample opportunity to this point. Often when she is the nastiest to AnaLaura, AnaLeteicia then dissolves into tears. She has come to AnaLaura in the middle of the night when she is having dreams of the accident. Ana Leticia doesn't want to kill AnaLaura, she just doesn't want her to be happy, which she has admitted.

Her plans for AnaLucia seem more ominous to me, although the exact route is murky. It seems to involve breaking up the AnaLau-Ramiro relationship, helping Valentin and drawing AnaLau somehow into the process of hurting/doing away with AnaLu. On the other hand, AnaLeticia's last clever plan (with Isidro) went down in flames. The previews suggest that complications will ensue.

AnaLeticia doing her Jersey Shore imitation of AnaLu and AnaLaura continuing to have confidence in this imitation and in Val would be a lot to take as we go through the last ten or so episodes.

This novela continues to surprise, so I hope that we have some good twists and turns coming up.

She caught AnaMe impersonating herself to VinTin before and for all practical purposes gave her a pass. From the Geico ad : "If you're AnaLetMe, that's what you do."

Like I said above, they have rendered her so devoid of thought she is no longer interesting. A squirrel is far more interesting trying to figure out a bird feeder. Squirrels are S M A R T. By the way, why does this TN family not have a pet? You can't trust them on that alone. :-)

Hi all. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I guess I assumed Ram realized during his and his papi's last conversation that Gina's death was Daddy's doing. Mea culpa. Anywho, he should have by this point if he didn't.

I cannot stand the A Llora character who AB does to perfection. She's done all 4 versions to perfection.

I would also say that with this tn I believe Medina should be up for another top Premio.

O/T: I will probably be sitting out Vino El Amor, but I will be interested in watching Silvia Navarro's next: "La Candidata" due in November around election time. New blood infusion with Victor Gonzalez to play opposite her. He could almost pass for Mauricio Islas's twin brother.

I dearly hope that we get Mujeres de Negro. I am going to do some reading in prep...

Ana Laura can't kill a fly and Ana MeMeME knows that. She also needs to feed off Ana Laura's misery. That is where her energy comes from or she wouldn't have been treating her like a third-class citizen their entire lives. What is likely is that she will use Ana Laura as the bait of a trap she intends to spring herself.

If Ana MeMeME were successful at this no matter what happened to herself Ana Laura would live with such intense guilt that it would eventually drive her mad or to suicide. That would finish off Ana MeMeME in the end because she would have nothing to gloat over anymore. Let's also assume that Mariano could make up with Viridiana and be happy with her... now THAT would drive Ana MeMeME to suicide!

As ticked as I am with Ana Laura, I'm still hoping for "redemption" for her. Maybe she will be the one to unmask fake AnaLe. At this point, her character needs to "do something" to be worthy of Ramiro's love.

Agree AnaLe doesn't want to live without AnaLaura, who is her chief enabler.

Jardinera and Urban I'm also skipping Vino, and equally excited for La Candidata and Mujeres de Negro. Here's hoping they come to UniV and don't get shuttled over to UniMas.

Niecie Chana predicted she'd be the savior. It was during her reading with Ramiro when he was investigating in San Nicholas. So let's hope that some act of bravery or sacrifice is in the works for her. She really is outdoing Leo in their race to gain sainthood, except her saintliness is moreso gullibility.

People treat Ana Laura like an invalid and a child because she IS an invalid and a child.

Want people to stop feeling sorry for you because of your leg? Stop feeling sorry for yourself because of your leg!

Want people to stop treating you like a child? Stop acting like one.

If somebody says to me "Hey your man did X, Y and Z" I'm going to go straight to him and get his side of the story. Why would you believe anything about your husband to be from Valentin, who says he loves you and would be better for you than Ramiro? You made your choice, go ask your choice!

Ana Laura is just as self centered as Ana Leticia and Ramiro needs to put her on ice until she grows up.

Thanks, Jardinera! You sure got an ungodly dose of Ana #4. FakeAnaLu is so far off from real AnaLu, she's like a fourth triplet. A cheap version of AnaLet.

I did like the look on #4's face when AnaLaura apologized for AnaLet's bad behavior, though.

Ana Laura is being extra-stupid and extra-stubborn for the sake of plot convenience. I hate that. It's lazy. The writers really dropped the ball with this character. I hope they have something up their sleeves to turn things around, but I will be hard to satisfy because I can't forgive how foolishly she's acting right now. Even if she ends up doing something heroic, those character traits don't just disappear.

Just when I was starting to feel sorry for Ghoulietta, she reminded me of why I hated her so much to begin with. Was there any reason for her to be so snotty with Cecilia? She's starting to look like a ghoul, too. And the giant sunglasses only made her look worse.

Jardinera, thanks. I was out all day yesterday, so just seeing this today. Stellar as always.

So one more chair available at the "SHUT UP Llora" table? The way I have started to see her is AnaMeMe but in non-murderous, subtle, way, but equally as selfish. Her attention by Mariano and Abue and all around her has always been centered on being the poor waif. She had every opportunity to pull herself up by the boot straps and do something with her life. She was surrounded by kids and others who were even worse off then her to see that example. Instead, she relished being that innocent little girl. mad they got rid of toys and bears? Sure, I could see if she had one that meant more to her, but all that should have been donated years ago.

As for Ram, she has sabotaged that at every turn. It feeds into that idea "he doesn't get me" that I'm special idea. She doesn't really want to be a grown up and strike out on her own I don't think. She should have had red flags flying with the Tin and AnaLoon masquerade, but she inwardly choose not to because it feeds into her own behavior.

Sure, you can blame some of that on the privilege and way she was raised, but she's not stupid and she has every capability of working and being productive. She craves that attention no differently than her sister, just differently. They both want to be "adored" and control the men in their life. We know it will be pink bow Ram at the end, but poor guy.

Javier "call me" to Inaki...such an indicator that will not happen.

Has anyone exposed AnaLet's dirty secrets yet ?

Hey Ram, Maribel is still single. Two legs and a brain. Cute too.

toa

And I gar-ron-teeee it would not be a three month long negotiation to get her pants off.

No, Steve. Only Inaki knows all of them now that Evaristo is dead and he will only reveal what he knows when it's time to save himself or someone he cares about.

Cause Inaki's 'boys' are in Luuuurve with AnaLetMeMe. His brain knows better. Careful Inak, you wouldn't be the first fella whose boys got them in a tight spot.

This comment has been removed by the author.

Even Inaki doesn't know everything. He doesn't know about Tio Mariano. That's not her dirtiest secret, but it won't make Mariano feel any better about Jennifer's murder when he finds out why AnaLet killed her.

Daisy EXACTLY! Thank you! I said the same awhile back. Ana Laura is just as selfish and manipulative as Ana Leticia. The difference is that Ana Laura uses the victim tactic, while Ana Leticia uses bullying or sexual manipulation. Both use their bodies as props of manipulation. Ana Laura's prop is her missing leg, while Ana Leticia's prop is the whole shebang. Victimized manipulation involves gaining power over those around you using sympathy, guilt, or pity. Which then usually results in people going above and beyond (Leo), doing favors (Ram finding Ana Lu), and ensuring your safety/stability (Abue, Tio). She acts like she hates them coddling her, but in reality she's the one who enables them. I'm the most unforgiving person around "victims", especially when they're histrionic and attempting to draw attention. I can see right through that act. It undermines victims who really do struggle. So yes, save me a seat at the "So Over Ana Laura" table. The writers could've surprised us with a stronger, wiser, and worthy nemesis to her sister, but they gave us the same cardboard ninny we've been already overdosed with.

Do you really think Ana Laura does this on purpose? I don't see anything malicious in her.

I know people who play the victim card for attention and I don't think she does this for that purpose. I think she is genuinely afraid to take risks.

I don't think she does it on purpose, but she does get a payoff by acting that way, and she doesn't have to think about it in order for it to work. Ironic that the only person in her life who sees this is Ana Leticia!

It doesn't annoy me that the character started off that way, but it does annoy me very much that she can't seem to evolve beyond it. I don't see how this can change in a plausible way. If this were a real person, she'd need some kind of therapy to unlearn this behavior.

Wonderful, awesome recap thank you so much!!!

Toa, I just read your post days late and don't know if you will even read this anymore.....but your comment about Santi/Marc nosebleeds is caused by Remedios treating him like an eight-year old is so funny, it is endearing to see her give him LOVE that he had never been given by Fac. He seems to revert to his childhood and receive her comfort and love like "dry desert to water". Reminds me of lyric to a popular song which I just cant remember.
