Tres Veces Ana # 115

Discussion page until Sneaky has a recap for us!

Sneaky's recap posted below

Boo! Boys and ghouls, ladies and germs, its October! (ok it was October last week too, but it feels more Octobery this week) and our telenovela is getting downright spooky. Inaki has come back from the dead, and have you seen AnaLeticia's makeup lately, ooooh!Even Llora is getting into the spirit, disguising herself as a lion instead of a mouse,(though she's still crying)

Lets get into it!

Abue gives BadAna a stern talking to re Leonore
TioM tells the fam Llora is moving in w/him (guess who's especially upset about that)

Marcelo tries to convince Analu that BadAna is, well, bad, and a huge and constant liar besides. Pobre de Marcelo, Santi got all the good things, Remedios and Analu, and Marcelo only got the crazy killer wife and the criminal mastermind dad. You have me says Analu and gives him a big kiss!

Back from the dead Inaki searches BadAna's room for the memory card. His eyes are bugging out and he's pale and sweating, Zombie!Inaki?

Llora packs for Tio's and BadAna dumps her suitcase out on the floor b/c that's how their relationship works. BadAna tells her she can't go but Llora sticks up for herself and kicks BadAna out of her room w/a tentative scowl. BadAna doesn't go though, she switches tactics and tries to convince Llora if she's really grown up she'll go off on her own like a big girl, or maybe w/Ramiro. Llora confides tearfully that she's broke up w/Ramiro for good and the whys of it but we saw it the first time and don't need to get into that.

Ramiro meanwhile is sulking in a bar and remembering and whispering and drinking.

Llora has rubbed her two brains cells together and made a spark of realization that BadAna doesn't love her and has been trying to hurt her all this time, she's just a taker who doesn't truster w/all those important secrets. BadAna pulls the hey I'm suffering here card but Llora doesn't go for it.

Analu pulls away from the kiss saying this is wrong but she doesn't say she regrets it when Marcelo asks and she insists she didn't confuse Marcelo for Santiago. That kiss was all for Marcelo. (Hmm)

Javi gets home soaked w/some crazy story about the bus and why he had to walk.

Sue tries to bolster her friend's spirits, they don't need those men.
Hothead Hottie plays yound Tadeo in Julietta's memories, (how could she leave him?)

Llora and BadAna discuss their sis. BadAna wants to cut her loose. Llora is determined to get her back. Bad Ana says its her or me but Llora stands her ground and gets in the jab that tio won't kick her out like he did BadAna and they have wanting to get Analu back in common. Hah!

Valentin calls his mom to let her know he'll be dining w/Clawdia. He's softening towards his mom but Clawd is not. They plot together to trap and destroy TioM but they don't trust each other much.

At the pension Remdedios coaxes Marcelo to eat and to stay the night. Analu gets all flustered.

Llora moves out.

Inaki leaves a note - I don't wanna cause you trouble w/yr fam but don't forget I got shot protecting the woman I luuurrrve.

Analu and Nerina move her clothes back to Sole's rm and discuss Marcelo.Upshot - Analu is confused.

Remdios wishes Marcelo good night and gives him the blessing. He looks so lost.  In the middle of the night Santi tries to come back but the buzzing of Marcelo's phone helps him fight him off.

Javi remembers his mom leavinem and so does mom. She's got the regrets.

Llora and tio get home and she's concerned she pressured him to leter stay but he assures que no.

Ramiro sulks in the bar - this is where Marcelo got the call to come. Cuervas is watching over Ramiro  and Marcelo tries to getim to go home and sleep it off but Ramiro'd rather whine about how its Marcelo's fault he got broke up with.  Endlessly. But when Marcelo givesim the chance to punch his pretty face Ramiro dont want to. Cuervas will takeim home.

TioM helps Llora get ready for bed and giveser a goodnight hug and kiss. Neither wants to talk about why their respective relationships broke up so they don't.

BadAna partially removes her makeup (just enough to look really scary) and obsesses bout how TioM and Llora are together right now. Its not fair! But hey! Maybe its a good thing, He'll realize how boring she is and how much better I am than her.

Valentin calls and BadAna notifies that Llora went running to Tio's arms rather than to his. Her obsession w/Tio comes through loud and clear.

Sole mopes

Analu has a dream where she remembers BadAna let her get swept away. wuhoh.

(wait just a gol darnd minute. BadAna was just a little girl, what was she sposta do? I mean really, could she have saved Analu even if she had tried?)

Can't wait to see the recap, Sneaky.

Hey did anyone catch how when Tio and Llora were talking at his place she made mention that she met "Ana Lu" and described her to be a lot like Ana Le, just without money. I think she is going to catch on real quick that it wasn't Ana Lu that she met with Tin tin.

Cynthia, I saw that and was hoping they were not both sleepy. She told Tio she had met her and after he described Lu as not interested in money and very humble she said that was not the impression she got.

I was waiting for Tio to ask "Really? When did you meet her, because you were not home when I brought her to meet Gramma?" It was a perfect lead in to catching evil little witch AnaLetMeBashInYourHead.

It is good that AnaLetMeWorshipmyFatherSatan is showing her true colors a little to AnaLouderIcantHearYouRam, IE going on a Ram-page and dumping her suitcase on the floor.

The previews here in FloriDuh showed Lu and Laura at Tio's and AnaLetMe storming in...but not much more, so hopefully it will be after they have gotten together and started figuring out AnaLetMeFoolEverybody's game. AnaLu did get an earful from Marcelo about souless AnaLetMe tonight right before sher got a mouthful of lips. :-)

toa

TOA: There was also a quick couple seconds in the previews where Ramiro is crying out that he cannot feel his legs. Did you catch that too? Something really bad is going to go down, I just don't know what. But I hope Fac and Tin Tin meet their Maker soon.

Yes, I liked the way that Llora stood up to Ana MeMe. I think it threw her off balance, didn't it? She just wasn't never expecting that one.

Anyway, poor Ramiro in the bar drinking away his sorrows. I kind of chuckled because this is the traditional Mexican way with mariachi music in the background. I was reading about David Zepeda, seems he grew up very close to where I grew up. Only he was the other side of the border. I lived in Tucson, AZ about 60 miles from the border. Zepeda grew up in Nogales, Sonora, a place my family used to visit frequently. (There are 2 towns of Nogales, one on the U.S. side and another on the Mexican side). My family used to go visit about once a month when I was growing up.

I also wish that there had been a better conversation between Ana Laura and Mariano. I like that Ana Lucia had a nightmare in which she realized that Ana MeMeME didn't try to help her not fall out of the car.

When Ana Laura and Ana Lucia meet there has to be a revelation of Valentin's deception.

It was classic narcissistic projection when Ana MeMeME accused Ana Laura of selfishness. That is what narcissists do. Honestly, it baffles me that anyone could live with someone their whole lives and fail to recognize this.

BTW. does anyone in Mexico ever say "our parents" or "our uncle"? I have never heard this said even when the conversation is between (normal) siblings. I find this rather odd.

Oh Lord, I missed the Ramiro preview. He is probably my favorite in this show too. I wanted him to be last man standing.

OMG, Cynthia, that sounds seriously horrible. If Valentin wanted to get revenge against Ramiro for Laura -- or even the worthless Gina -- crippling him would be the way if he could do it. I hope this is a false alarm of some kind.

When Ana MeMeME barges in I hope the other two give her hell. That is so overdue.

I am so waiting for Ana Let to begin to get caught for some-flipping-thing. Just take your pick, there are plenty to choose from. I cannot imagine (In the preview) that the two sisters could spend more than a minute in the same room without something coming up like: "Um..well AnaLucia, but you said the other day when we met with Valentine that...."

That is all it would take, and I grant you if it were ME lying to two women, it would sure as H..e..hockey sticks happen.

Then these people have a unique gift of being able to talk for hours without actually communicating anything.

I wonder if drunk as seven Mexicans Ramiro wrecked his car on the way home. toa

Another great night of acting by Angelique Boyer.

Yay! Ana Laura had the strength to leave with tío Mariano no matter what Ana Leticia tried to pull with her. I especially enjoyed her telling Ana Leticia that her problem was that she "afixiates" people and how she Ana Laura and tío Mariano were going to fight to get Ana Lucía to be part of the family.

What a creepy scene with Ana Leticia taking off her makeup and obsessively imagining Ana Laura at her tío Mariano's. Even creepier was Ana Lucía realizing Ana Leticia did not help her in the accident. At least Ana Lucía is beginning to fall for Marcelo.

Cynthia, I, too, did not like the preview of Ramiro not being able to feel his legs.

Only seven episodes to go and a lot of plots that need to be resolved. It should make for good viewing.,

Urban: You asked if anyone in Mexico ever says "our parents" or "our uncle". I've heard my family speak Spanish all the time I was growing up and that is exactly how my family speaks. When my uncles or my mother speak to each other about their dearly departed parents, they always say, "mi mama" or "mi papa". Since I only understood the Spanish and did not speak it myself, since English is my first language, I could never figure it out.

Yeah when CRAZO is in the mirror wiping paint and peeling off the lashes it reminds me of a tired medieval warrior taking off his helmet, laying down his sword, and beginning to take off the armor.

toa

I did not understand what was happening in the preview other than Ramiro was obviously being held by Valentin and was crying. Cynthia, I feel sick to my stomach now. I know there always seem to be one or two sacrificial lambs, I'm hoping he isn't one of them. The nicest character here...

UA, the fact Ana Lu's dream revealed Ana Let did not helping her after the accident flew right over my head. Thanks for sharing that.

Jarifa, Boyer has had many outstanding moments but the mirror scene you referred to was one of them. I find myself fascinated by the very different shape of the mirror - it was a perfect choice.

The dialog and dawning of realities that will seal Ana Let and Valentin's fate are too slow in coming. I hope Marcelo realizes his friend is in grave danger and will get to his rescue. Ramiro will be on my mind all day.

Sneaky, looking forward to your recap. I am wondering also what Inaki's letter said to Ana Let.

Diana

Ana Leticia's total indifference to Ana Lucia falling out of the car got me from the first viewing. That, compounded with her total selfishness in that scene, was evidence that she was a sociopath in the making. You have to wonder what made that happen.

Looking forward to another rocking recap sneaking up on us. And Thank You.

It seems that tiny pinholes of light are beginning to shine on the real AnaLet for the general populace who do not already know how unhinged she is. AnaLucia's historically accurate dream/nightmare reminded her of the little monster her sister was at that early age. That nightmare coming quickly on the heels of Markysanti's 'sermon' if you will, to Lucy about AnaLet being heartless and souless and a perfect liar because if she says it, she believes it should warn her.

With T/L/E (unk and the sisters) it is becoming apparent that their little brat is one helluva brat. When she was on her tirade against LLauradumbass with the suitcase, I was hoping for Tio to intervene, or be outside the door on the way in and hear it, but NO. It never happens. Is AnaLetMeSpyOnThem the only one who closes doors? Notice she ALWAYS does. All these people leave every door open, quite convenient for Let. They must have one of those hydraulic closers on the front door, otherwise it would be perpetually open with flies, mosquitoes, bats and maybe a chicken or two wandering in. Atleast for a minute, before they came to their senses and hightailed it out of there.

Oh well, let's see, only seven episodes left, right? Yikes, they are going to have to double up on the action here somehow. If they only whack/maim one per episode, they will not get around to all the ones I want dead, dismembered, decapitated by the end. Well, a couple on my wish list are provisional, so they might survive.

Can't wait Sneaky.

Dang, that preview. Boy, was I off the mark figuring out what Tin was going to do with that hut. Seriously...it's RAMIRO that he intends to capture and possibly torture? WTH? C'mon writers, What the heck did that poor slob do to anyone compared to the rest of these people to earn this? Sorely disappointed. Not that I want to see Tin's craziness on one of the girls either. Guess this is all about Ram taking both the chicks this loon had his eye on, especially Gina. All roads lead to Gina. May be using the remote to check out of those scenes so I save my TV.

The minute Tio told Llora that AnaLu was also living with him I figured she would learn fast the real AnaLu is not the person she met. I don't think AnaLoon had any idea that AnaLu was living there as well, so how she gets out of her fake out will be interesting. PLEASE have Mariano walk in...PLEASE.

Hard to believe we have an entire week yet for this tale. The crazy is definitely rising. Hope it's not crazy to the point of stupid after all this build up.

Diana, I, too, am sick to my stomach from watching the preview of Ramiro. There was another scene that was extremely upsetting (don't want to spoil it for you if you didn't get it where you live). After that, Valentin was chuckling as Ramiro was crying. It looked like he got his revenge. Who will be next? Look out Mariano!

Hurry, Marcelo!

Every night this story gets more intense than the last. How am I going to make it through the weekend without an episode?

Daisy: "Hope it's not crazy to the point of stupid after all this build up."

You are right. In some of these TNs it seems the writers had it all thought out from the beginning. In others it appears the writers are just thinking how to get out of the mess they made, or thinking about the vacation they are to begin when the TN is over, or their next job.

It is going to be difficult for them to tie up all these loose ends in an unhurried, believable way given the time. Especially if they keep wasting time with these long drawn out conversations which do NOTHING for the plot. t

Did anyone else pick up how to AnaLet he is MY uncle and to LLaura he is OUR uncle?

Another episode with some movement and revelations. This has been a talky novela with a complicated plot so it makes sense that the last few episodes would be the same.

I loved seeing AnaLaura stand up to the ever-nasty AnaLeticia. Now to see AnaLaura meet the real AnaLucia. Looking forward to tonight.

I watched Hulu this morning so had no previews to ruin my day! Ramiro victimized by Valentin. Yikes! It makes sense inasmuch as he is the direct competitor in Valentin's mind for AnaLaura's affection and Evaristo warned Ramiro that he was a marked man. And with Ratmundo gone, Facundo's would have no reason to try to protect Ramiro. But we will see. I do like the surprises in this novela.

I first saw the actress who plays Julieta years ago in Tres Mujeres, a very long and interesting novela. Her character was marvelous there, unlike Julieta. Still, I think that she is a talented actress who in this role has shown Julieta's selfishness and emptiness very well.

Diana and Jarifa - There have been some other creepy scenes of AnaLeticia in front of her make-up mirror, ripping off her mask I guess AB is always so good in these. What a great job she has done in this novela!

Urban, maybe Ana Leticia was just born that way.

Yay! Ana Laura had the strength to leave with tío Mariano no matter what Ana Leticia tried to pull with her.

Jarifa and everybody - When Ana Let played the "how-can-you-leave-your-sick-granny" card, I was afraid Ana Laura would cave in. But finally we got the satisfaction of seeing her go toe to toe with the evil one. Ana Let must be kicking herself for causing Ana Laura's rebellion in the first place. The plan was for her to turn out Ramiro, not her whole clan.

Nice performance by DZ of a near-drunk, too risky to drive. He was woozy but not over the top. Glad he didn't punch SantiMarc - it would've been pointless and show he's still thinking clearly.

So what is Clawdia's plan for Mariano? Get him to marry her, then spend his money? She's got no chance at that.

Some women are convinced they are more than they are. Ana Leticia is a prime example of that and so is Clawdia although the latter isn't out of her mind.

Jarifa, if Ana Leticia was born that way, why not the other two when they all have the same DNA?

Can't wait for the recap!

Like all of you I was horrified by the previews showing Ram screaming about his legs and Val laughing. Of all the suspects for Gina's murder, Ram is the least culpable. Also, Val knows now that Ram didn't meet Gina until after she left him. And since he was in the room when the suicide note was written he knows that Ram had nothing to do with it.

I do hope that AnaLaura meet tonight and realize that AnaLet played them both.

I was surprised that Inaki left AnaLet's room. I'm wondering if he finally found the video. I find it interesting that he feels he can no longer trust her. Is this the crack in the breakdown of these two? AnaLet at least thought he was dead when she went searching.

Sebastian Ruilli does a really great job of looking sweet and embarrassed and uncomfortable. His moments as Marcelo right now have been my favorite.

Ghoulieta still hasn't told Viri the truth about her abandoning her children.

The one scene with Sole calling AnaLucia "mi hija" while locked away had me hoping that she would be doing that for some years to come. Still cares about no one but herself.

Mati, Luz María Jerez was in one of the first TN's I saw in its entirety Querida Enemiga where she played a far more sympathetic character.

I thought her casting here was fairly inspired. I think she is a very attractive woman with a warm smile and at first glance, a welcoming aura. Hearing her heartless words did not seem to mesh with the character's "look". There was no evil, malicious stare as say, Ana Leticia has, which made her words and actions even more chilling to me.

Diana

Mirror, mirror on the wall, who's the craziest of them all??? You !!!....you win that one, ANaLetmefixyourmakeup . Yikes, the smeared lipstick is happening again.

As for that other crazy VIn tin tin, I am sending out a musical tribute by Michael MacDonald "WHat a FOol BElieves, he sees."

This show is verra depressing. I am ready for it to end and hoping for sunny days in the vineyard ...even though I am not a Soto fan.

"Bad seeds" vs. modern science? This is a fascinating problem that looms over the novela..

While these identical triplets would have the same DNA, the writers seem to more often present AnaLeticia as the proverbial bad seed, bad from the start. She was clearly problematic at 4 years old. Telenovela medicine morphs into telenovela science.

On the other hand, our physiology and neurology goes beyond simple DNA. She could could have suffered some brain damage or oxygen lapse during birth or even in the womb. Three completely healthy triplets is quite a feat. I think we need Carlos to weigh in!

Or something happened very early with regard to AnaLeticia's upbringing to account for the constant need for attention. Three is a tough number with kids -- someone often feels left out and jealous. But to this degree????

Mati: Bingo, that's it. I recognize Ghoul from Tres Mujeres, the story of Grandmother, Mother and Daughter. Ghoul was Karyme's Mom I think. That was such a good show. I was in Luuuurrrve with Ms. Karyme in that show, especially after her men did her so dirty.

toa

It is fun seeing the walls closing in on AnaLetMeHaveTiosBaby, especially when the walls are of her own construction. It seems her wiggle room is getting smaller and smaller.

If she is hiding the money in the trunk of her little carette maybe she has the video card there too.

toa

Who's ready to see AnaLet get her big anvil ? Raise your hands :)

I think we all are Steve but after last night I'm more worried about Ramiro than anything else.

Thanks Ria for yesterday's recap. I read it 15 min before yesterday's show started, it was an awesome refresher!

And thanks in advance, Sneaky, for your recap!

Regarding the kidnapping:
AnaLet made a call to Tin to let him know their plan faltered. She tried to get Ana Laura to go look for him so he could take her to the cabin, but AnaLet was unsuccessful. I guess that's why the avances show Facundo hitting Ram in the back of the head. We then see him laying on his side in a hospital with a male and female doctors attending to him. Since avances aren't always in order, I'm not sure if this is before or after Tin kidnaps him. But if it's before, then we can suspect that Ram is just drugged to lose feeling in his legs. If it's after the kidnapping, then we can suspect he gets saved somehow (by his bromeo, Marc?) and they have to treat his leg injury. Part of me does, in fact, wish he'd lose his legs b/c then he & Llora could be equals and she could shut up about him not understanding her. But based on my sister's spoiler, it doesn't seem he lost his legs. Or maybe he's healed ...or possibly wearing 2 prosthesis?

Regarding Ana Laura's growth:
I think something major and traumatic like both the family and fiancee betrayal, and the discovery of new relatives, is just what Ana Laura needed to find a backbone and evolve. I loved that she told Ana let to be careful or she'd say exactly what was on her mind. So it seems that all along, when Ana Let would talk down to her, Ana Laura wasn't as naive as we perceived. She recognized her sister's malice, and only stayed quiet out of love for her sister. I'm glad she put her in her place, and stuck to her guns about going with HER Tio.

Regarding Ana Leticia's mental state
I don't think she was completely screwed up in the head as a child. For sure, she was selfish and bratty. But I don't believe she was evil....yet. I believe she's the middle child (I'll check for sure). She's had to compete with her 2 sisters for attention. If you remember, she always felt like the odd one out b/c Ana Laura and Ana Lucia were closer in bond. Ana Lucia was always admired & loved, she was always dancing and playing. Ana Laura was always coddled even before her accident, she was the quiet one and loved music. Ana Leticia was invisible, b/c she lacked the charisma Ana Lucia had, and Ana Laura's delicacy (which provoked attention). Her demanding nature and bratty, needy, bullying behavior grew forth as a result. It was the trauma of the accident that eventually pushed her over the edge. It's also possible she was also injured physically from the accident, since she had blood on her. I don't know how we could expect a small 4 year old to be a savior to someone in danger. Obviously, the writers are using this as a last-minute plot device to make Ana Lu question her sister's sincerity, after getting Marcelo's warning. The thing is Ana Leticia, got up while bloodied all over, to try to revive her parents, that's not indifference in any shape or form. But the writers will have us believe that she didn't help her sister out of malice. She looked at Ana Laura's bloodied leg, and noticed Ana Lucia was missing. She turned to notice Ana Lucia holding on to a seat belt, and there were exactly 3 seconds (according to the memory we're shown) to process that, before Ana Lucia was taken by the current. I can't even process reading my name in 3 seconds, let alone process that someone's in trouble and then physically act on it. Besides, she's 4!! Is she evil? Yes. But WAS she evil? No, that's just silly.

TOA - she played Renata the gallery owner. Karyme (Fatima) worked there. Loved that novela.

I agree, Diana, that she is so effective because the smile and affect don't match the words.

To give Ana Laura credit, she advised Ana Leticia a while back to get help from a shrink, especially when AnaLet let down her guard once and blabbed on and on and on about her special thang for Tio. Ana Laura has known AnaLet had issues but, in addition to her penchant (before) for avoiding confrontations, she thought her unconditional love and support could help her bratty sister.

Please watch any spoilers.

Mati Thanks. Remembering now, it seems like there was Fatima and her sister and their Mother.(The Three Women) I think that Benadryl lady was Karyme's sister, and I have disliked her ever since. Oh wow what a show. I was completely addicted to it when it was on.

On Ana Leticia's disposition as a child of 4 years:
I think Viewerville would agree that as a child Ana Leticia was not evil. The little we know about her is confined to the car accident. And there we see a child of 4 years acting out impulsively. She grabs the steering wheel while her father tries to gain control of the car with disastrous results: parents dead, one sister disabled, the other thrown out of the car into a river, while our Ana Leticia is physically unharmed. Mentally perhaps scarred for life. Ana Laura has always said you cannot bake my sister since it was an accident. True Ana Leticia did not intend to kill her parents. But her disposition to behave impulsively had already started to form into a personality trait early on. And early on, she did things that were disastrously hurtful to others. She needed a much firmer hand to control her impulses than either uncle Mariano or grandmom Ernestina were able to provide. Up to this point we know she killed one woman and has been implicated in the attempt on Marcelo's life. Repeated actions (dispositions to behave) build up character and personality. In her case an evil one.

"VIn tin tin".

Thanks for the laugh susanlynn! Always fun to read your comments.

Diana

Urban: "It baffles me that anyone could live with someone their whole lives and fail to recognize this." If Ana Laura lived with both her sisters, it would be obvious. However, she doesn't have another sister to compare AnaLet to. (Yet.) She's lived a fairly sheltered life and isn't close to many people. She may not have enough frame of reference to realize that this isn't normal.

Though I also like Anna's theory that she did recognize it and chose not to say anything. Except, she did more than choose to be silent. She also seemed to let AnaLet's manipulations get to her, before. And now, abruptly, she seems permanently immune. Remarkable!

Also: "if Ana Leticia was born that way, why not the other two when they all have the same DNA?" This is where gene expression comes into play. In some cases, it's not enough to have the gene. Something has to happen (a physical stress to the system of some kind, before or after birth) to activate it. In other words, maybe Ana Leticia was dropped on her head.

But no, despite AnaLu's shocked realization, I don't think it's reasonable to expect a 4-yo child to reach towards the wide-open car door overhanging a river to save her sister's life. I would expect most children to be petrified with fear by the height, not to mention the sight and sound of the rushing water below. We also know that AnaLet is still traumatized by it and feels guilty about it - because she's had nightmares about it.

I'll also add that I've never heard of a small child being able to interfere with the driver like that. Daddy is bigger and stronger and should have no trouble controlling the steering wheel. (It might be different if she had blinded him with her hands, or something like that.) And apparently, most kids know enough not to (or physically can't) do that kind of stuff. Otherwise, there'd be a story in the news about accidents like this every day, and all child safety seats would have wrist restraints!

Also, Urban's question "does anyone in Mexico ever say 'our parents' or 'our uncle'?" I've been wondering the same things for years. I don't know why I never thought to ask. Thanks for answering, Cynthia.

She was still bratty and selfish. From that car scene it looked like Lourdes knew that. And I agree that neither Ernestina nor Mariano provided a firm enough hand.

Ana Leticia was traumatized by the accident; anyone would be. But the look of sheer indifference on her face when Ana Lucia fell into the river stands out in my head ever since that opening episode.

Wow, great insight everyone. I especially enjoyed yesterdays discussion, I only wish I could've been a part of it. So many good theories put out so far :)

"Maybe Ana Leticia was dropped on her head". LOL. Oh Julie, if I could shrink you & keep you in my pocket, I would.

"Daddy is bigger and stronger and should have no trouble controlling the steering wheel". Which is why I wonder if the brakes were messed with. She grabs the wheel and pulls to her right, but somehow the car swerves left. It seems to skip a bit of the struggle, b/c we automatically get a screen jump-cut to where he turns it to his left with her hands still on the wheel. So I'm curious if there's more to the accident than we're seeing. His defensive driving shows that he tried to take back the wheel, but I'm not sure if he made that decision after he tried the brakes or if he simply tried maneuver the car first.

I get where you're coming from Urban, but I'm not sure if the look of indifference can be chalked up to poor acting on the child's part, or the director's actual intent. Still, I can't ignore the fact that she tried to revive her parents, and the 20 years of nightmares tells me that she's riddled with guilt. My personal take is to not judge her solely on that look. She's irredeemable for bigger reasons, imho.

Diana...hi there..I think that someone else coined VIn tin tin...and I borrowed it . Hope that you and yours are fine. Are you planning to watch the vineyard telenovela?

Anna: Remember in a Facundo/Evaristo black and white flashback Evaristo brought the newspaper account of the accident to Fecaldo and said it is done. So even though the munchkin may have grabbed the wheel, Evil did something at the behest of Fecal Matter and reported a successful fruition of the endeavor. It was probably an unfortunate coincidence.

toa

Sue I am flattered by a bit of harmless mistaken plagiarism. :-) thanks
toa

On a more serious note: In AnaLetYouBleedIntheSwamp's defence, Inaki was not happy that she left him for dead. But he probably was not listening to Fecal's instructions to AnaLet, and there was little she could have done, but it adds to her well deserved troubles for Inaki to believe that she could have cared less that he was rolling down a cliff with a bullet hole in him. And that is probably pretty close to the truth. As it appears the only place she might be concerned with a bullet hole is in her prissy little ass.

It is Friday night, maybe they will give us a nuclear episode tonight to tide us over till Monday.

toa

I do remember, oh witty friend of mine, but thats why I wonder if it was really an accident b/c he couldn't work the brakes or if it was an unlucky coincidence. I'd prefer it if the writers didnt try to backpedal the reasons behind a plot. It feels too contrived now. Somebody made the good point that we already hate Fac-man, and there was no need for the writers to add more sins to his culpability chart. But I guess they've got one hell of an anvil for him then. Maybe death by his own loins? (Figuratively--not literally, you sickos!!)

No, Anna. You said it, and it's out in the open now. I want to see Facundo dead by his own loins. Literally. (However that would work.) No takesy-backsies!

I think the writers are trying to backpedal to get Ana MeMeME off the hook and/or to show that Facundo was in this plot from the beginning. I really hate when they do things like this. She's an evil sociopath who is looking to kill one or both of her sisters. As if that will get her all the love and money belonging to Ernesetina and Mariano. Involving Facundo in this from that day explains his current attitude but we really didn't need that. The flashback showing his toxic treatment of Marcelo was enough.

While it might be a fit ending for Facundo to be killed by Marcelo, Marcelo doesn't deserve that fate.

"Maybe death by his own loins? (Figuratively--not literally, you sickos!!)"
"No takesy-backsies!"

Anna, Julie and all...I chuckle, giggle, snicker and burst out laughing at the playfulness with which some of you quip back and forth.

And, the many names for characters are so hilariously descriptive: "Fecaldo" and "Fecal Matter"(Kirby), "AnaLetYouBleedIntheSwamp" (toa)-and so many more...

You all make the comments so much fun!

OK. This is how it needs to be and everybody would be happy:

We all remember that tender scene where Fecal told Evil how he almost worshiped his Evilness, and had such respect and feelings for a man who had brought so much anguish, suffering and death to so many innocent people, right?

Turn about is fair, so we have Marcelo finally corner Fecal. As it is going to be an adoring son killing his own Father in cold blood, some tender words are in order.

Marcelo can then tell Fecal that he has been investigating and has discovered that he is in fact the son of (insert name of most hated enemy) rather than Fecal. Then MarkyMark can administer some life ending injury which will take it's own good time to finish Fecal off, giving him plenty of time to digest this information in his final hours.

What?
Its always late. ;P

Part 1

Hah!

Part 2

Toa...I teach English, so I am pretty prickly about plagiarism and always try to quote my sources! I have enjoyed your many ANaLEtme variations.

Thanks, Sneaky. Llora packs for Tio's and BadAna dumps her suitcase out on the floor b/c that's how their relationship works. -- teehee

True, AnaLet was only 4, so for any kit it could've been shock or fear. But Ana Lucía has some of Chana's gift for reading people (when she's not dumbstruck by Marcelo and Santi all up close), so I'm guessing in her dream she can feel Ana Let's coldness toward her.

... for any kid

Susanlynn: My answer is one word. Soto. Yup, I will be watching!

The fact that Cynthia Klitbo and Azela Robinson are also in it is gravy.

I saw Gabe first in Querida Enemiga (where I loathed his character and rooted for the galan in waiting Jorge Aravena). I liked Sortilegio and Un Refugio para el Amor even more. But my favorite role of his was in La Verdad Occulta (with my telenovio Eduardo) Sigh.

I think it will be a good one!

Diana

I want to watch Vino but I feel like the protagonista is too young for him.

Thanks Sneaky!!

Smart and savvy Sneaky! This was fantastic.

"Even Llora is getting into the spirit, disguising herself as a lion instead of a mouse,(though she's still crying)" and "Ramiro meanwhile is sulking in a bar and remembering and whispering and drinking" were among many favorites.

"Ramiro sulks and "Sole mopes" were simply yet perfectly stated.

I enjoyed Marcelo fending off Santi and yes, Ana Lu is confused but clearly enjoying Marcelo's kisses. As of course, anyone who has a pulse would.

I wonder where Inaki slunk off to? Does he have any money? Any friends? Oh, that would be no. He cheated with Marcelo's wife so that option is out. Any others? Hmmm. He threw his homeless mother out. He can't go "home" to Tadeo's as his would be murderer might turn up at any moment.

"TioM helps Llora get ready for bed and giveser a goodnight hug and kiss. Neither wants to talk about why their respective relationships broke up so they don't". That was a real, warm moment between an uncle and his niece. Affection as it should be.

I will just add to Virginia's noting how much fun all the comments are here.

Sneaky, thank you!

Diana

Thanks so much, sneaky! Great recap.

Carvivlie- Televisa has managed to create a large crop of young female protagonists in their 20s to replace their "aging" female protagonists (34+), but haven't had any luck with the young male protagonists. So they have a huge group of male protagonists who are hovering around 40+ (Rulli, Zepeda, Soto, de la Fuente, Sanchez) who are still playing the male lead. The ~50 guys (Colugna, Yanez, Salinas) are only just starting to play fathers of grown children.

Vivi, sad when your 35 and can't play lead against a 40 year old, but that's Hollywood too. It's not the age that maybe bothers me. It's that these young actresses don't have the life experience and thus gravitas to match their male counterpart. Not always the case. I wish they would give some of the actresses that are 35+ that usually play secondary characters a chance to lead. They always give the 20+ a chance but not the older actors that play important roles.

Sneaky, Thank you for your recap! You said it is always late. As long as it is here before the next episode, it isn't really late. You put a great deal of time and effort into writing a great recap every week and it greatly appreciated.

Carvivle...nothing new to have an ingenue paired with an older guy. In my favorite show, not only is the hero five years younger than the leading lady , but he is a virgin when they first meet. Hell's yes. However, telenovelas like older galans and young girls ....SOmetimes , I am amazed at the May December age difference!

Diana...Hi...I wonder if Carlos will join us because he is a fan of Cynthia's.

In Vino el Amor we have a 41 year old galan (Soto) and a 23 year old heroine (Baeva). Nothing new, but still somewhat jarring. He really could play her father (and could biologically be her father). Yet in Pasion y Poder we had an actress who was the same age as the actor playing her son!

I agree Carvivlie and Vivi.

I can think of only 2 actresses in their late 30's/early 40's who are being cast as leads...Susana Gonzales and Silvia Navarro.

Am I missing anyone?

I keep thinking of poor Betty Monroe who after having worked for 20 years was finally given the lead in Sueño de amor, only to be thrown to the lions when Osario made her the scapegoat for his colossal failure.

Diana

Diana- And Lucero, before she left Televisa a couple of years ago. But that's it. By the way, filming has started on La Candidata, where Silvia will play the lead and Susana will play the villain. Looking forward to it!

Susanlynn, I can see how a younger woman would like an older man-take Boyer and Rulli for instance. A younger man couldn't give her anything that he couldn't! (Lucky her!)

For me,the most appealing thing about an older man would be the self-assurance gained through life experience and, a protective attitude toward his mate. That said, my husband is four years younger than me. There's a lot to be said for that kind of relationship, too!

Marjorie de Souza, who joined Betty is in her 30's but now she is pregnant.

True. Marjorie is 36 and recently made the transition from villain to heroine in Televisa. Not sure yet if she can deliver as the heroine as she's had 1 and a half tns under her belt as the heorine, and neither was a hit.

Here is a pic of Silvia and Susana together during the La Candidata announcement: http://tinyurl.com/z7dp8z2

And with their new "looks" for the telenovela: http://tinyurl.com/gqbmqbb

Thank you, Sneaky, for a great recap!

Diana, so true about Betty Monroe. I felt so bad for her because she was an excellent actress.

hi, VIrginia. I am a year older than HUbbahubba, but we have been together since we were teens. Our daughters both married guys ten years older. The younger daughter's husband turned out to be a terrible guy, and they divorced . My aunt also married someone ten years younger. I guess it is the luck of the draw. If you meet the right person, age doesn't matter. I had a friend who married several times. One husband was ten years younger. That marriage did not last. I have another friend who is five years older than her husband , and that marriage lasted.

I guess traditionally , we are used to men being older, but since women on the average live seven years longer than men, that concept does not make sense.

Vivi, thank you for the pictures!

I am so afraid this will be put in the 10 pm timeslot (especially now that we know what is coming on at 9)...

It's just too late for some of us. Sigh.

Diana

Diana..I think I saw a promo for Vino for 9pm. I hope so because I get up at 5.30 am and cannot stay up past ten.

Yes Susanlynn, Vino is scheduled for 9. I was hoping the Gonzales TN won't be scheduled at 10.

Diana

It's too early to know when, what time, and on what channel (could be Unimas) Uni will show La Candidata.

Susanlynn, Thanks for sharing your story.

I, too, married my High School sweetheart but was not blessed with a "forever" marriage like yours. We were married fifteen years and had two children. However, it didn't work out for us.

I was single two years when I met my present husband at a New Years Eve party. He walked over to me and said, "You're the artist aren't you?" after that we were never apart. Although we couldn't have children of our own, he has been a father to my 2 children. Our 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren are "our babies." We will be happily married 35 years in Nov.

Why do people cry at weddings?
They are practicing for what is coming......Ja Ja Ja

toa

I quite agree with these comments and think Rulli should be cast with a woman his age or older. And, holds hand up, I'm free. ;)

Anyways, I'm dying cause I have a child in my bed asleep and cannot turn the tv on. If anyone wants to throw me a bone with what's going on to to tonight, I'm listening. :)

Michelle, you are missing a good one. There was a confrontation at Tio's house between Tin-Tin and Tio where a lot of the whole sordid truth was revealed concerning Tio and Gina. Of course Tin-tin did his spin on things, blaming Mariano for his accident. Tio countered that he did all he could for him paid for the hospital, doctors, and a monetary settlement. But Tin-Tin was angry about Gina. Then Ana Llora who was in the middle of all this decided she was leaving and went to pack because she was so angry. But she sat down to the play the piano and in walks Marcelo and Ana Lu. They embrace and go to her bedroom to talk. I'm sure it's right there that Llora realizes that she didn't really meet Ana Lu the day before.

But the worst thing....Ramiro did get kidnapped by Fac. (I hope he gets his and someone first facs him and then kills him.) He is knocked out, put under anesthesia, some quack doctors perform some kind of surgery on his back. When Ramiro wakes up, he is in Fac's cabin, cannot feel his legs, with Tin-Tin who says "welcome to my world".

Oh no!!!! Thank you so much Cynthia. That's what I was afraid of for Ramiro with the previews. I'm glad to hear that at least Ana Laura may figure out tonight she's never met Ana Lucia before. I hope she regrets many things when she realizes how unfair she's been to Ramiro and how crazy Tin tin is. :(

Hey, I just got the pun. Tin tin is from the tin man without a heart. Lol. That makes sense.

Michelle, if you have Hulu, hopefully you can watch it later. Glad to help out and fill in some blanks. Now who is going to rescue Ramiro? I guess Marcelo will have to come to the rescue again. But how is he going to find out? When will anyone realize that Ramiro is missing?

I don't know Spanish, but I think Mariano called Ramiro after his confrontation with Tin Tin. It looked like Ramiro was hurrying over to see Mariano when Fac kidnapped him. Hopefully Mariano will realize something is wrong when he doesn't show up.

Yes, that is true. Mariano called Ramiro and asked him to come over. He was on his way out of the house to his car, when he was ambushed by Fac and his low life thugs.

Great recap, Sneaky. I didn't get to read it until this morning.

As to what has happened to Ramiro, I'm guessing that no surgery was performed.... yet, but it's being planned. The reason I think this was Valentin's comment about a "preview" of what paralysis is. We didn't see any scalpels being wielded, only massive injections into Ramiro's back. I wish Carlos were here...

What I suspect: Ramiro was knocked out immediately after the kidnapping with an injection of something pretty strong. This "doctor" was injecting him with multiple times the correct dosage for that anaesthetic that is normally used for knee surgery. The normal dosage of that wears off after 3-4 hours. Whether overdosage of this and/or a combination of it with general anaesthesia is enough to cause permanent damage I have no idea.

Valentin and Facundo are both sadists who would enjoy the mental torture Ramiro is currently experiencing en route to actually putting him out of action. Valentin for his sick revenge and Facundo to prevent Ramiro from uncovering more of the financial crimes.

I have been watching TNs for many years and I don't think anything affected me as much as watching Ramiro having (whatever) surgery it was or wasn't.

It was sickening. I know this is fantasy but the reality was that I woke up several times last night thinking about this.

I hope he is OK...

Diana

Diana, this novela sure has some "twisty' perverted parts and here we have one more raising its ugly head. I found this "Ramiro at the mercy of Valentín and Facundo" truly disturbing and disgustingl: basically torture. I hope this plot line ends soon.

Thanks everybody for your comments
Virginia thanks I know for the ppl on the east coast I'm getting pretty close to that next episode but whaddya gonna do.

Valentin is losing me. Oh wheelchair boy don't let me down now, there must be some good in there.

I've high hopes for the show to follow but one of the first things I thought when I saw the previews was, isn't she a little young? Good to know I'm not the only one. There doesn't seem to be a dearth of actrices even with the recent baby boom. Oh well maybe Baeva will impress us so much w/her emotional maturity we won't notice how young she is.

Sneaky,
Re: Valentin, Carlos De La Motta is doing a fantastic job in this role. I've never seen him playing an evil person before. I really hate him! We have talked a lot about how AnaLaura's disability affected her low self-esteem, but look at the extreme Valentine has gone to because of his disability.

I believe the TN before TVA is Despertar Contigo staring Daniel Arenas. I don't know the young actress who plays his love interest, but she seems wa-a-y too young for him. There may be no more difference in age than Boyer and Rulli, but they seem mismatched.

Another thing I notice in so many of the TNs is the lack of "sexual tension" (for lack of a better word). You have to admit, Boyer and Rulli have it. They practically ooze "amor". In some of the YouTube videos I've watched you can tell he can hardly (can't) keep his hands off of her. Swoon... Swoon...

Sneaky,

I am so late in thanking you for your smart recap yesterday. These episodes are so complex with different personalities in play (5 or 6 between the Ana's and MarcSant) and the flashbacks, I am not sure how you recappers do it.

Diana and Jarifa - I had the same reaction to horrible abuse of Ramiro. I always hate novela endings that include this kind of sadistic stuff. So unnecessary to the story and disturbing to the faithful viewers who have followed this novela from the start.

Looking forward to Jardinera's take on all of this.

.

Above, I was speaking of "sexual tension" between actors and how Rulli can't keep his hands off Boyer Take a look at this! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h2D4rgaAOYA

Thank you for the clip Virginia. They seem so in love. I'm happy for them!

Jarifa and Mati, thank you for your comments. I was really horrified and had a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach. It's been bothering me all day. Gratuitous torturing of another human being is reprehensible. I hope it ends quickly also so we can get on with tying things up for the characters we care about.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I hope but nothing for the worst for Facundo and Valentin. They can rot.

Sorry, but even the reunion of Ana Lu and Ana Laura (which was certainly something we've all been rooting for) could not remove the previous scene's sour stench. Ack.

Diana

Facundo must like these kinds of roles, remember in P and P how he overdosed Daniela Montenegro? It was not as bad as what he did to Ramiro, but the same general methods.

Little Daniela almost died. She wasn't a very nice girl, but she was trying to change.

toa

Daniela died in the ambulance en route to the hospital. But that character was perverse and there has been worse than that.

There is a weekend discussion on the subject of perversity with a specific reference to LSdP, which had an extreme example. I think Televisa is upping the ante on that rather than going the narco story route.
