Tres Veces de Ana #86: Shocked and Over-Awed
Parte 1~~
• Viridiana shows up at The Realty Place demanding to see Mariano to give him a piece of her mind about his having locked up Soledad for kidnapping.
• Back in county lockup, aka “la cárcel”, Solebad admits to Valeria she’s bad company cuz she’s very introverted and keeps to herself. Just then Sole is taken out to speak with “visitors."
• At La Cruz Roja, Rodrigo enters Remedios’s room to introduce himself and offers to pay her expenses per Ramiro’s request, Ramiro being his very capable employee. She refuses Rod, explaining that her husband left her well provided for. She does run a rooming house of sorts out of her big, drafty old home, but it’s because she cannot stand to be alone. She takes in roomers and now the place is full of life and energy—just the way she likes it. However, she doesn’t need anyone’s help financially. She tells him she’s certain she knows him from somewhere and will have to try to recall [hacer memoria = search one’s memory] from where she remembers him. She thanks him and Rod leaves.
• Chana has come during visitors’ hours to speak with Sole. She encourages Sole to get a message through to Ana Lucia that she wants to explain things to her. Sole tearfully states that first A Lucha has to forgive her and her daughter so far has refused.
• Rod runs into Facundo [BTW, whose name does translate into voluble and fluent and/or eloquent] entering the hospital floor lounge. Fubar asks if it’s true that Rem saved Marcelo’s life. Rod scolds him and says she sure has and over the past three years has been a much better parental unit that has Fu by becoming a hermit and cloistering himself or at any time during Marco’s life, for that matter. What right has Rod to do this? (Yes, all us inquiring minds definitely want to know!)
Rod reminds him that he gave him that right years ago. He’s aided in protecting Marcelo. In fact, Rod adds, he should be protecting him from his own father!! “—And do we know who Evaristo has been working for all these years?” “—Unfortunately, the only person who knew that is now dead.” And that somebody, Viewerville learns to their drop-jaw, slap-me-silly impactados selves, is none other than Alfredo Varela. Rod adds, “—Before you go in to see Remedios García, you’d better know that she was Alfredo’s wife! He told her to protect him at all costs before he died.” Old Fubar is one frown-ya-knocked-me-down-a-peg impactado.
• Yes, he’s ba-a-a-a-ack. Marcelo is getting dressed up and he’s got all three keys on his key ring now.
• At Rem’s Rooming House, Ana Leticia looks haughtily around and sniffs, then wrinkles her pug, patrician nose contemptuously at Santiago’s room. Her husband is used to much better. (However,Viewerville is quite impressed with the handsomely carved woodwork of the cabinetry, the moldings and all those gates and doors around there—not to mention the stonework and the brick and mortar treatments. Sort of makes ya wonder if Ana MiMi’s taste is all in her mouth since she’s apparently so taken with glass, cheap chrome, and plywood. Errr....don’t answer that; we all know it's plainly a rhetorical question.) Ana Lucia says, well, SanMarco was very happy in this grand ol’ place. Never had a hint of a complaint. “—Didn’t hurt, him having your visage around, now did it? He even had a carbon copy of his wife.”
The two sisters discuss SanMarco’s deadly tumor, Ana MiMi somewhat nonchalantly and Ana Lucha quite tearfully. A Lucha hands her sister over the wedding band she took from Santi and renounces any holds she felt she had on her man. He’s her sister’s husband and she will no longer interfere. (A Lucha no longer has any lucha left in her, anyway. She's like a helio baloon that's lost 2/3 of the gas by now, all wrinkled and folding.) Yes, she admits, she was ready to suffice as being nothing more but The Other Woman. Not now, even though it’s breaking her heart into a thousand pieces [mil pedazos]. There should now no longer be any reason to get a divorce. She certainly doesn’t want to do that to her sister and BIL.—to come between the two of them. Ana MiMi admits she still hasn’t signed the papers yet and will now take this into consideration. (A loud, communal groan makes it’s way throughout Viewerville.)
• Viridiana has forced Mariano to appear and come out of his lair to speak with her. (Viewerville watches aghast at what passes for haute-couture in this scene. Whoever suggested tights instead of hose or bared legs had their proverbial heads up their proverbial backsides. Certain styles are simply not appropriate for women of certain builds, y punto.) Vi is surprised to learn that Ana Lucia had survived all these years, but incredulous at learning her employee had kidnapped and kept the little girl as her own all these years. Vi then also learns it was a friend of Mo's named “Claudia,” whose mama lives in the same boarding house as his niece and Solebad. "--She didn’t just save the girl’s life—she robbed her life by having kept her from them for herself for 20 years. The two things are quite different." Mo is quite emphatic on this point, still. (Can’t fault him there!)Well, be that as it may, thinks Vi, but Sole deserves some consideration as her employee—not to mention, that Vi should have been informed of his intent to press charges, especially since Solebad was her employee. (Naw, not particularly.)
• At the same time, Ana MiMi runs into Nerina and Valantin while at Rem’s. A MiMi learns that the obnoxious woman from the hospital and from the meet up at the manse is TinTin’s mother. TinTin is just as surprised to learn that her triplet lives in the same place as Nerina. Nerina informs her that it was Claw, her daughter and TinTin’s sister, who gave the skinny on A Lucha to Unky Mo. “—How lovely.” Ana Lemeeee is going to thank Claw personally for the marvelous[y] gift her daughter has given Ernestina and her family.” Just then a tearful Ana Lucia enters the suite and TinTin is sit-me-down-again-and-spin-me-round impactado.
• Back at County Lock-Up, Chana and Sole accidentally encounter Ernie and Leonora on their way to speak with Valeria. However this encounter turns deadly when Ernie recognizes her from having come to the house to work on Ana Leticia’s gown. Sole harshly informs her that yes, and she is also Ana Lucia’s mother. (Dun-dun-dun-dunnnnnnnnnn!)
~~end, parte 1~~
==============================================
Parte 2~~
• Vi gives Mo a last chance to clarify their relationship and to admit what she saw took place between him and The Blonde. “—Anything else to tell me?” He naively, clueless to the fact he was seen kissing Claw, answers nada de nada. Ok. Bye.
• Meanwhile, Sole, with the visiting Chana, gathers her courage and robotically spits out the facts concerning how she found Ernie’s grand-daughter and saved her life. “I gave her a life, like any mother for her child would.” And, she admits committing the sin of keeping her as her own. Why? Because from the moment she found her and saw her she loved her as if she were her own, immensely. “—I have always been a humble woman, but she never lacked for anything with me. She had a good upbringing; I provided her principle standards to live by. I gave her whatever I could afford to. I offered her my entire existence. Doesn’t that count for you? Is it right that I should be paying for all this love in jail?” Ernie, this being the first time she’s heard that Ana Lucia is actually live and well and happy living in a loving, though humble home, has a heart attack right then and there.
• Vi leaves Mo’s offices and wipes his kisses off her lips. The dude obviously has no guilt or shame over what happened with The Calculating Clawed One.
• Ana Non-Lucha is invited to the recital that Ana Laura is giving with TinTin. TinTin, the slimy toad, looks appropriately hangdog and heartbroken when she mentions that she only knows about her other triplet in terms of her being Ramiro’s fiancée.
• Chana, meanwhile, realizes the three woman are the ‘Three Sisters’ foretold of during the reading she gave to Ernie. Sole is punished for having caused Ernie’s disconsolate discombobulation and directly sent to the punishment cell in solitary confinement.
• Felicitous Facundo (not!) frightens the feces out of Rem when he enters her room to supposedly thank her for saving his son’s life by so selflessly offering up her own. She tells him bluntly she wants him out of there as of yesterday! He lets her know he’s just learned that she is Alfredo Varelo’s widow. Ah, yes, she says, he worked for your son. Not quite, corrects Fubar. We let my son believe that, but in reality, he worked for me. He “suggests” the nurses give her a sedative. Before leaving, he asks her for a key he believes her husband must surely have given her. She insists she has no idea what he’s referring to. He tells her he believes otherwise.
• Outside her room, Fu tells somebody he’s heading directly over since another somebody is there at the house with the first somebody. The first somebody isn’t just anybody; it’s Edmundo. Neither is the second somebody just anybody. He is Evaristo, whose failing memory makes him think the Salvaterra that’s on his way is Marco, but he’s told it is Facundo, the father. Eddie tells Ev that The Man is upset because things got out of control. Ev starts yelling like a maniac that things don’t get out of control with him! They’ll see once Fu shows up. Suddenly Ev has an Alzheimer attack and thus a memory glitch. He thinks they’re about to become compadres. Eddie sarcastically reminds him that his granddaughter committed suicide years ago.
•
• Ev grabs Edmundo by the collar and accuses him of having killed her and then making it look like suicide—just like Eddie so conveniently did with his own wife so many years ago. The only reason he accepted this marriage was because Ev had threatened him. (Gotta sympathize with Ol’ Ed on that point. Nobody in their right minds would have wished Gina on even their worst enemy’s kid—well, maybe--but just on their worst enemy’s kid.) Ev remembers the facts now: Ed gave his kid, Ram, the news about Gina’s death much ahead of the police even finding her body. Ruh-roh!!! (Lightbulbs now go off like fireworks on the 4th of July as Viewerville suddenly has a thought! It really could have been ol’ Eddie-boy!)
Ed pulls a gun. Ev yells at him to be a man. [Put on a pair of pants = lleva los pantalones/ ponte los pantalones] Ed says he’s not like Ev. “—Of course not. I kill facing them. You, on the other hand, only know how to set up suicides. Isn’t that how you got rid of your wife, your son’s mother? Just what do you think Ramiro will say when he learns all about this?” “—Yeah? And what will Facundo say when he finds out that you tried to murder his son on Ana Leticia’s orders? You destroyed his world when they buried his son. He spent three years like a hermit in a cabin because of this pain and suffering!!” “—Are you so certain it was due to the pain? Or could it have been because of the guilt that was eating away [corrorer= to rust, eat away, corrode] at him?
• Leo hears from Chana that it was she who read Ernie the tarot cards that day. She knows Ana Lucia and she knows she’s alive and well.
• Meanwhile, Valeria learns that her visitor, Doña Ernestina, had a fainting attack and is in the clinic now. A bit later we learn she’s now at home. Cardio Doc arrives to check her out. Leo eventually calls Ana Llora to let her know. A Llora and Ram are taking the next flight out. (Bummer! He was just getting used to dealing with the infirmity and the artificial limb.) Chana is in the other room. She excuses herself with Miranda and leaves word with her that she’ll come back later.
• At the same time, Ana MiMi is at a coffee shop when she gets a call from Orlando and voices her desire that Orlando take flying leap. She ain’t givin’ him the money nohow noway. Besides she knows Ana Lucia is alive and well and she’s already found her sister’s rooming house and spoken with her. Tuff nutz, snorely Orly! (You snooze and you lose, buddy boy!) Tin Tin rolls up to her table. Apparently she wants her and Violentin to strike up a deal.
• Nerina admits to Ana Lucia that she also knew eventually the truth that everyone was keeping from her. She wasn’t in favor of it, but Sole was too frightened of losing her love, she tells Ana Lu. Ana Lucia admits she’s angry but she’d never stop loving her. She’d tell her that, but nobody knows where Solebad is right now. (I wonder if they get the newspaper there. Wait till tomorrow morning and it’ll no doubt be above the fold on page one.)
• Speaking of Chana, she comes to tell Ana Lu to forgive Mama Sol (and possibly where she is now???) but Ana Lu only wants to gripe at her for also lying to her. Chana tells her that her abuela is near death and she should come speak to her, even if it’s only for the first and last time.
• Fubar is now giving Ev a scolding for screwing things up. Marcelo cannot open Alf’s lock box because they still don’t have his key. Inside that lock box is information that can destroy the whole cotton pickin’ bunch of them! WRONG, Fubar!! Your son is at this very minute opening the lock box you have so long desired to possess. What’s in it remains to be seen………

So the safe deposit box contains a binder full of info... or a photo album. Is SantMarc going to find out that Facundo isn't actually his father? That he was stolen from another rich family and never returned? Is he a lost prince or something? Admittedly, at his best Sebastian Rulli does look like a Viking prince...
And here I thought that he and Fabian Pizzorno were such a perfect match physically as a father and son. Nothing was ever said about SantMarc's mother, not even by himself, and we have seen no photos. Possibly Facundo (with or without anyone's help) kidnapped SantMarc as a baby or small child and raised him thinking his mother died in childbirth.
The comment by Evaristo during his confrontation with Ratmundo about Facundo's self-imposed exile implies that Facundo isn't what we had been led to think. It also explains why he was OK with the idea of Marcelo being a stone-cold killer and (possibly) with him being with Ana MeMeME. It certainly explains why he objects to Santiago and his love for Ana Lucia.
So it was Ratmundo who killed Gina and even his own wife. He must have killed his wife because she realized he was a grifter. That is the only motive that makes any sense. Ramiro and SantMarc are both in for some very ugly truths about their fathers.
Other than having been framed for knocking up Margarita, where does Rodrigo fit into all this? It would be extremely cruel to find out that he had any role in this whole criminal enterprise when we have Ernestina who should be able to find some happiness at the end of this tale.
I know in TN land Evaristo deserves to die, but dammit I love the old rascal. Little micro-Rat is shakily pointing a BIG gun in his face and he is laughing at him. Of course he was begging Marc to do the same. A fella just can't drum up a decent killin' can he? Ratmundo? Pfftt, I would do it myself.
It was too funny, in my CCs here in South FloriDuh when AnaLet told Pennzoil to piss up a rope, she already found her sister, she called him cracker. I didn't know anything in Spanglish translated to cracker that was not an unleavened baked wheat food. Now he needs to copy (keeping the originals) those pictures to a throw down phone and text them to AnaLet and LET her speculate where they came from.
I could not ignore Chana's unambiguous declaration last night that Granny is dying. She better not. If that is not negotiable, then at least let her see AnaLu at least once and hug her.
toa
Ernestina has to also find out what a monster Ana Leticia is. She needs to change her will, as does Mariano.
"Cracker" in the US has historical connotations about poverty. I wonder if it has a similar meaning in Mexico.
And they better not give us some horrid death bed scene where Abue sees AnaLu once, hugs her and that's it. Sure the woman didn't do the best job of raising those girls, but she was what they had and she never gave up finding AnaLu. Give her more than Moses got finding the Promised Land. And if they have Soledad forgiven and Abue die....yeah, I'll be scraping beanie off the walls.
Ev does need to die, but that scene with Rats was great!!!
Interesting move by Viri walking out of the office...I took it she was wiping Mariano's kiss from her lips in disgust. Anyone else? She's playing him why? I had a luscious thought she was the evil behind it all, but I know that;s a stretch. But still wonder why she's leading Marciano on.
As for Rodrigo, I think everything that has happened so far sets him up as a good guy. However, he seems to have unwittingly or unwillingly been part of something more sinister. He said that he bailed Facundo out and won't do it again and he had some likely contact with Alfredo since Remedios recognized him from the past. Facundo did not know that Remedios was the wife of Alfredo, so that could suggest that Rodrigo's contact was with Alfredo independent of Facundo. All very mysterious.
When Leonor and Ernestina walked into the jail, they looked very much alike. Soledad resembles them both. I thought it was interesting and touching when Leonor cried out that her "hermana" was ill and needed help.
I felt ill at the sight of Valentin and AnaLe plotting together.
The caring parents and parent surrogates (not kidnappers!) have had very mixed luck with their children in this novela. The Ernestina will in the end have two lovely granddaughters and one utter dud. Tadeo will have one upright and sweet son and the other lost to his evil deeds. And both of Nernina's children turn out to be scoundrels? It doesn't seem fair. On the other hand, Remedios has the wonderful and beautiful Santiago.
ITA daisynjay. Abue better not have a death bed reunion.
I don't know why Viri didn't just tell Mariano she saw him kiss Claudia but maybe she thinks she can get him to soften towards Sole. Hope not. Sole screaming she needed to talk to Ernie was only self serving I'm sure. The woman just collapsed bec of you and you still want to explain. Rich!

1) What were BadAna and Valentine plotting?
2) Did Facundo tell Rem that Alfredo was working for him-not Marcelo?
3) The conversation between BasAna and AnaLu.
I'm sure there is more but that will come in the recap-looking forward to it!
I don't know who is more evil in this episode: Facundo, Ratmundo or BadAna.
Or she will try to impersonate Ana Lucia to trash her rep to yet someone else?
As to your last question, I think Ratmundo and BadAna are about equal. The jury is out on Facundo.
t
Really fun episode, events just keep moving now. I wonder what Ana Lu will do first - go visit Erni in her sickbed or Sole in prison. And what is in that box?!
Violentin now will probably try to butter up to Ana Lu, which also may be part of his and Ana Le's plan...
Viri gave Mariano a chance, but he kept his trap shut. My guess is she remained silent because after having her employee arrested at her (Viri's) business without telling her before or after, being oblivious that she blocked him from her phone, and kissing Clawdia, she doesn't feel he's worth the bother. Mariano is going through a lot with his newfound sobrina, but he's being pretty arrogant.
Poor Ramiro is in like flint with Ana Laura. He's in her bed and she's even trusted him with her prosthesis. Wiil everything blow up in his face when they get back?
I loved Ev laughing at Ratmundo with a gun pointed on him too.
Poor Viri, she is really nice, She needs to just throw in the towel and move on. There are plenty of men with at least as attractive eyes and who actually fricking SHAVE once in a while. I could see her bringing Tio his breakfast one morning and Ana Let being in her place all snuggled up because she had a horrible "Nightmare" and didn't have time to put on any clothing.
Viri, just go. It will hurt for a few minutes, but you are a big girl.
toa
daisy, yes, Viri wiped away Mar's kiss with undisguised disgust. But, I have no answer at all to your next question.
Mariano is a soulless soul. His words to Viri about loving her and starting a family? Well to me, these simply fell flat. I don't know if it's his lack of passion or known insincerity, but I was not impressed. Niecie, I think your noting his arrogance is pivotal. I admit, I do not like much of anything about the character except that he does love his nieces, in an appropriate manner. But as he hasn't realized Ana Let's true feelings tells me he is just not that bright. Viri far surpasses him.
I still have no feelings of pity toward Soledad. As so many of you noting, her utter gaul to call Ana Lucia her daughter to Ana's family was unbelievable. Erni cannot die (I say defensively with a lump of uncertainty in my throat)...
Urban, you laid all the scenarios and questions out so well. I also have no idea where Rodrigo fits all of this...
Mati, "The caring parents and parent surrogates (not kidnappers!) have had very mixed luck with their children in this novella". Totally agree with everything you said. Of everyone, my heart goes out to Nerina and Tadeo the most. I am hoping they will console each other in the end. Migel, "When Parenting Goes Wrong" - indeed!
"I could not ignore Chana's unambiguous declaration last night that Granny is dying. She better not. If that is not negotiable, then at least let her see AnaLu at least once and hug her". Yes, toa, yes...
Thank you everyone for your astute comments and insights.
Really looking forward to your recap Jardinera.
Diana
I must admit Rulli was looking so hawt in that scene, I could barely focus downwards on the contents which as noted, seemed to be papers.
We have a bit to go so I don't think all will be revealed too quickly.
Diana
Just as I think Viri has seen what Mariano is all about. This man is not partner or parent material and she needs to find someone who is if that's what she wants.
Of course we can't figure out Rod, but we have no evidence yet. I suppose add Javier and Tadpole too, they are secondary to our story, but there, nonetheless.
toa
Rodrigo helped Facundo by hiding his assets when he went into hiding, and made his income more lucrative. I believe that's the favor he's talking about. Martinez and Alfredo seemed to know Rodrigo, and both were decent men (albeit, a new baby pressured Martinez to steal), and Bernardo is also a good guy, so I'm pretty sure Rodrigo is a decent dude who is only connected to Fac-man through business only.
I mentioned in my Redux that Edmundo was a suspect due to how quickly he told Ram about Gina's death. So when Ev proved that suspicion, it cleared another. The person who brought the hooker to the hotel, we suspected that he was trying to distract Ram from the investigation. The other clue being he was also the only other one who was aware of Gina's affairs. So it's safe to say that "the powerful enemy" and the "bathtub killer" are 2 different people.
Viri is only playing nice b/c she wants him to drop the charges. Once Sole is out, I believe she'll try to dump him. But her patience gives him time to try to get a clue & redeem himself.
Sole is a broken record. Erne won't die. And Leo is finally openly admitting (well to strangers) that Erne is her sis, how sweet that was.
You conveyed all the action perfectly.
"Sole deserves some consideration as her employee—not to mention, that Vi should have been informed of his intent to press charges, especially since Solebad was her employee. (Naw, not particularly.)" was very thoughtful and you have given me food for thought. Vi seems a bit entitled as well, didn't she? Perhaps they are well suited after all.
"Ana Leticia looks haughtily around and sniffs, then wrinkles her pug, patrician nose contemptuously at Santiago’s room" was my favorite of many.
"Ana Lemeeee is going to thank Claw personally for the marvelous[y] gift her daughter has given Ernestina and her family". Oh yes, I'm sure she has a very special gift in mind. I hope Claw relished that kiss with Mariano. That well may have been her last here on this earth.
Looking forward to Part 2.
Thank you Jardinera!
Diana
My favorite part: Viridiana wiping off tío Mariano's kiss.
Facundo got some surprises tonight. I am happy to see anything that puts him at a disadvantage.
Here is hoping we find out a lot more about Remedios' husband Alberto and that Evaristo has more lucid moments than not.
I wonder if Evaristo would ever use his dementia to his advantage by pretending to not knowing or giving bad info when he seems to be confused . . . but really isn't.
Yes, Facundo's name is all wrong for this character (my calling him Fecund the other day was just a case of auto-correct on the loose - who knew that facundo has a sorta similar meaning to fecund?) Also, the more informed cinema buffs among you may know that Viridiana is a famous Luis Bunuel movie (available on Hulu) that starred Silvia Pinal. I didn't know of the film and I don't recall seeing the name Viridiana before but may be more common than I know. Now I am curious to watch the film.
The Calculating Clawed One
disconsolate discombobulation
Felicitous Facundo (not!) frightens the feces out of Rem
Tuff nutz, snorely Orly!
Your wit knows no bounds!
Traveling I was racking my brain for who's idea it was to start calling him Fecund! Thank you for such a fitting name, I'll add it to the name key next week! I should make our Name of Shame comment game its own separate post so everyone can get credit. I think everyone here has at least contributed 1 funny nickname for a character. I love it!!
Poor AnaLu is overwhelmed with what Tio and AnaLet are giving her. Now just imagine Ernies reaction to her. All of this love and feelings coming from complete strangers when she hasn't even been able to sort through all that has happened.
Yes, we are finally starting to see how Evaristo, Edmundo, Facundo, Rudolfo and Rodrigo are tied together. I thought it was also interesting that it was Samuel's name listed as owner of the safety deposit box, so SantMarc needed to take him with him to open it. How is Sam tied to the old dudes? I don't think we have enough info yet to piece it all together, but glad we seem to finally have clarity on Ed being behind Gina's death, and likely the prostitute's too. Now, why if he killed his wife, would he place the blame for her "suicide" on Ramiro all these years? Unless he found out after Ramiro was born that he was really the child of another man...
I too really hope that Chana's declaration that Erni is dying is wrong. It would just be too unfair to have her die, just as she's found her lost nieta and found her long-lost love again.
Soledad's declaration to Erni in the prison, about what she did not being a crime but an act of love, just made me want to slap her all over again. She's never going to admit she was wrong, is she? Do the writers really expect us to swallow this bull? There isn't a strong enough beanie that can make me excuse kidnapping.
Yep. Sometimes tne alliterative bug must hits and cannot be denied😇
. I loved the big reveals in this one. ITA that o!d EV is sly enough to fake his dementia wheno it works in his favor. However ITA this ever deepening abyss of sentient dissipation is a great anvil if just desserts
So, lemmeeeeee say that your comments are pretty spot on and pretty LOL funny too. Sole is silly to have said all that conceited garbage about her being her daughter. Ernie was too much of a lady to slap her upside the haid the way she orta.
Anywhooooo, Samuel is the lawyer who also has the hots for Viridiana and I do believe she may just end up with him--and Claw may still get her man. It would only serve her right if he kept on alleycattin' around once Mo and she might have tied the knot.
Ana Lucia needs to teach her nasty triplet a few needed lessons in being human. Perhaps Ana MiMi will end up behind bars in the manicomio and become a true Screaming MiMi.
And not my heart :-)

"Ev remembers the facts now: Ed gave his kid, Ram, the news about Gina’s death much ahead of the police even finding her body. Ruh-roh!!! (Lightbulbs now go off like fireworks on the 4th of July as Viewerville suddenly has a thought! It really could have been ol’ Eddie-boy!)" A very pivotal (and well stated) development. Facundo and Ed are completely unlikeable...
I don't blame Viri for dissing and dismissing Mariano...apparently we in viewerville are keenly aware. Unfortunately, he is not. I'm a bit peeved that Viri is lining up (with almost everyone else) to stick up for Soledad.
I like the idea of Viri ending up with Samuel. I sensed chemistry in their brief scenes together.
Ed and Facundo are so completely unlikeable. I hope they end up with very long prison sentences. Santi and Ramiro will be hurt. At first. But they much to live for and having their fathers locked up where they can't inflict any more harm is likely best.
Yes, I wish Ernie had socked it to Sole but as you noted, she is too much of a lady. I imagine the reuniting of the 2 sets of sisters is inevitable but I just don't see Ana Let accepting Ana Lu's presence, let alone her potential threat to alleviate Ana Let's share of her inheritance.
I am looking forward to Orlando showing Ana Let the video evidence. However, he is just not too bright so think he will be on the losing end.
Jardinera, thank you!
Diana
Poor Ana Lucia has nobody to help her deal with the shock. Remedios, Chana, and Nerina are pressing her to forgive Soledad which we know she'll do. But she needs a buddy on her level looking our for her, and BFF Maribel is useless. If Ana Lucia wasn't so discombobulated, she'd realize the things Ana Leticia is saying to her are unkind, and nothing like that supposedly forgiving sister Remedio told her about.
Jardinera, yep Viri's dress was a thumbs down. I liked her last couple of outfits, so this one was a surprise. It was so off-kilter I wondered if the TN owed some would-be designer a favor and Viri drew the short straw.
I'm so impatient for the next episode.
Who can save little AnaLuc? She appears in better physical condition than AnaLet, and in a physical confrontation could probably protect herself. I'd think her work in DanzAire is better exercise than AnaLet's spotty workouts with Inaki. Can we assume AnaLet will attempt to stage an accident or just have Inaki whack her, worked once, right Isidrio? Only Evil and Ramiro understand how dangerous AnaLet truly is, and maybe Santi/Marc now too. I would start to think she should just stay close to Tio Mariano, but unless she were in sight of him 24-7 that won't protect her, he's dumber than a box of rocks and AnaLet could kill her right under his nose. Granny bedridden and supposedly fighting for her life doesn't help her much. Old crazy Soledad would protect her like a Mother grizzly, I think, but she can't do much from in the pokey. As selfish as we have seen SoBad to be, I really wish we could see her forced into a decision to save her own sorry ass or AnaLucia, and see how much she loooovvvves her 'daughter'.
There is so much new data flowing into little AnaLuc she can not possibly filter it all. IE: abjectly stoooopid Remi still cajoling her about how much her sister loves her...yuck. And of course her encounter with AnaLet would have raised a thousand red flags when AnaLet became so aggressive and confrontational, and I hope it did, a little. AnaLuc showed some shrewdnwss when she was with Santi/Marc figuring out his plight. Like Neicie said, she just needs one true friend to help her figure this mess out, but none, no one zilch, nada. Poor kid.
toa
I think Ramiro would fit that bill, but he is otherwise engaged.
I wish she would have a chance encounter with Javier. He seems kind and caring and might be able to step in and help her filter.
Diana
I think that Analu has some amazing upper body strength from all the scarf training, so she could be a match for Analetmefixyourscarf! Would INaki be able to kill his amante's lookalike?
At this point, I am just relieved that none of these people are in my own personal orbit!
If it's...:
-- Mariano, Inaki will spill the beans to him about Ana MeMeME being the instigator. He isn't likely to believe it. Lots of verbal accusation to follow, ending in Mariano belting him one for the counter-accusation, allowing Ana Lucia to escape.
-- Javier, he will freak at what Inaki has become, beat the crap out of him, and end up crying.
-- Tadeo, he will face the worst thing that has ever happened to him (or any parent): The discovery that his son is a sociopath. As he tries to guilt-trip him Ana Lucia could escape. Here's hoping Tadeo would then call the police.
-- SantMarc, he will beat him bloody before collapsing with a headache provoked by the tumor. If no one else is there this could endanger the possibility of his recovery.
-- Ramiro, he will beat him bloody and probably have the presence of mind to call the police.
Solebad had a lot of nerve declaring herself AnaLu's "mama" right to Ernestina's face! I don't know why that surprised me.
As for Facundo being the real boss of Marcelo's "employee" Alfredo, wow. He might take the prize for meddlesome parents.
So, Edmundo killed his own wife. I thought there was something weird about him blaming Ramiro for his mother's death. The remaining unanswered question here is, why does he hate Ramiro so much? I think it's becoming more likely that he's not Ramiro's real father. Ramiro's mother must have cheated (or at least Edmundo thought she did). Not that I would blame her, considering the pill she was married to.
I have not read the comments yet. I was afraid my own comment would be twelve miles long if I tried to reply to both the recap and the comments all in one go.
The only remark I have left: Now that Valentin knows there's another sister, I wondered if he would turn his pseudo-romantic intentions towards AnaLu. Probably not, but it's going to be (or should be) a lot harder to pry AnaLau away from Ramiro now, even with AnaLet's help. Except, this is a TN, so it doesn't have to be particularly plausible.
Toa: "in my CCs here in South FloriDuh when AnaLet told Pennzoil to piss up a rope, she already found her sister, she called him cracker" I assume you mean English captions, because in Spanish I thought I heard "naco." I would translate that as "redneck" because "cracker" is much more specific (and not nearly as widely used). But, the English captions never cease to amaze. I can't remember what it was that set me off the last time I switched back to the Spanish captions, but I'm sure it was colorful. (Or maybe it was just one "blimey" too many.)

None of this was ever about love, either.
Ana MeMeME might decide to enlist him as an accomplice in her murder attempt of Ana Lucia. She might even know that Valentin is looking to get dinero because I think she knows what he tried to do to Mariano. She could end up scamming him back and killing him afterward.
Once Tin finds out that someone else murdered Gina, and none of these people drove her to suicide, will he drop his dumb plan of revenge and become a sober, nice, sane, friendly person? Again, not very plausible but it seems to be where we're headed.
Also, why is he still crying over Gina when she scammed all the money out of him and ditched him after he ended up in the wheelchair? He must be immune to reality checks.
So then San/Marc was opening a safe deposit box. It looks like he has both keys that were being talked about by Ratmundo and Evilristo. I think they were saying that everything is in that box with all the evil stuff they all have committed. So is this what Remedios' husband had a key for and now San/Marc has found it? It will be interesting to see what is revealed by the contents of that box. I can't wait to find out what is in there. All the dirty laundry will be hung out to dry. It will be great to see these guys humiliated for the scumbags they are.
Carvivlie Marcelo and AnaLet were married, and Samuel was the family lawyer so it stands to reason that he'd share the same lawyer as Mariano. When Samuel was asked to help Santi draw divorce papers, Samuel denied him due to his allegiance to the family/AnaLet being stronger. This shows that Marcelo only acquired him as legal representation after he was married.
Julie Good point, he'll have to do his drinking at a bar. Or maybe his mom will enter him in rehab. Moving might be the best thing for him. But I think his partnering w/ AnaLet may mean he's not headed anywhere near redemption.
Urban None of Inaki's past murders had been pre-meditated. I don't see him "planning" on killing AnaLu, but his dark character is developing still so we should see if he does or not eventually.
Tin, like Sole, has a victimized mentality. In his mind, Gina was "stolen" from him by a rich guy. She took his money because, technically, he offered it to her as a way of fulfilling his promise to "take care of her". He rationalizes things this way for the sake of having some "purpose" in his miserable life. It didn't help that she came to him for help as she was running to her place. We still haven't seen the remainder of this flashback. She may have rekindled hope in him, to restart their relationship & run away together (possible, since she always relies on some worshiping schmuck to do her bidding). This new hope died very quickly when she supposedly committed suicide. Best theory I've got, but very likely for his character.
Also, not that Tin is aware of this, but Mariano (at the insistence of Gina) knew about Tin's plans to commit fraud. So he made it so the accident was rigged to be more injurious (though we still don't know how Mariano did this).
I want to see how TinTin will interact with the other folks in the pension, Maribel, Javier, Tadeo, even Susi.
And if Mariano arranged for the accident to be worse than Valentin intended he's a worse human being than I thought. He should pay for this somehow although I don't think Valentin should benefit any more from it. Unless he commits some act that gets him arrested he will benefit when Nerina gets her money back. Nerina is just foolish enough to want her little boy back and lavish her stolen fortune on him.
