Caray, Caray!

• Lisa tried to comfort Marta. She knew that Lillian has bothered her.
• Juan arrived at La Migra to tell Gutierrez that Marcos' papers are pending. They go into an office to discuss this. Gutierrez didn't give a damn, saying that this is trumped by Marcos hitting him. Juan started backing off and got a call from David. When David got there Juan said to leave it all to him. However, he caved on the issue and Gutierrez laughed. Later at home David explained that Marcos was defending his daughter. He then told Juan he needs a lawyer who specializes in these cases. Lillian must have been silently gloating, as she was in the room.
  
• 
  Perla knew that Lillian is enjoying all this and said so in front of Marta and the boys. Ramon, the father of the littlest boy, tried to comfort Marta.
  
• Marcos and Luciana arrived in Tijuana. They called Marta to assure her they were alright and both talked to her and to León. However the call was cut off before Marcos could talk to Marta again.
  
• Graciela arrived home in San Diego. She apparently has a sugar daddy named Jose. He arrived and they started getting busy.
  
• Marcos went looking for help in getting back and they end up in a pool hall to meet with El Coyote. This guy looks like very bad news and he wanted $15K US, which Marcos doesn't have. He asked how old Luciana is because she could be worth mucho dinero. [Scumbag.] When Marcos and Luciana tried to leave El Coyote's goons surrounded them. Luciana got angry and started telling them off. El Coyote laughed.
  
• Lillian made light of David's concern at losing Marcos' expertise. Lisa got on her case about her trash-talking other people, especially Lillian's cruelty to Marta. This lead to a standard toxic mother question “What are you trying to say? That you prefer Marta to me?” [Vitch!] Lisa got nothing positive out of this from a snob who thinks that workers are lower than dirt and can't be trusted. There was a leading statement about Lisa's father that he lost a lot of money and was unfaithful. Lisa demanded to know with whom, but Lillian didn't want to talk any more about it. [So what else is new?]
  
• The bar owner told off El Coyote about the disturbance. El Coyote told Marcos they will talk the next day. After Marcos and Luciana left he told his goons that they will sell the girl. They all gloated. [They will all end in the ninth circle of hell.]
  
• Marcos told Luciana she has to be careful. They went to the Hotel Juarez to get some sleep so he can look for work in the morning. One of the goons followed them and reported back to his boss.
  
• David talked to someone specializing in human rights violations. Lisa is weary of fighting with Lillian.
  
• Marcos woke up in the middle of the night and noticed that Luciana fell asleep against the door holding a broomstick. She had been on guard duty, she said. He put her in the bed and told her to get some real sleep.
  
• Graciela, who had earlier torn a photo in half to keep the half with David, called Lisa just for show.
  
• David explained to Marta that the legal process to get Marcos and Luciana back could take five years. He later told her that he would understand if she wanted to go to Mexico instead.
  
• Lillian had a coffee date with Gutierrez, who thanked her. She give him the “just doing my duty as a citizen” BS while flipping her fan and grinning. He actually indicated an interest in dating her, but she said she didn't date her late husband's friends. No explanation. He doesn't get it as they have prejudices in common. He even told her she was pretty. She flipped her fan open, told him she was going to San Diego for a while, “...and when I get back, we'll see.” [He may be a major patán, but he can certainly do better.]
  
• Marcos tried to call the main house later but Lillian answered the phone. She told him Marta wasn't there...right in front of her. She ended the call and lied to Marta about someone calling for David. This was followed by Marcos having no luck finding work.
  
• David leaned on Juan to get some results on Marcos' case. Juan asked him if he couldn't just hire someone else and he answered that he could but Marcos was the best. His absence could have a domino effect on everything leading up to the wine production he is planning. In fact, he wanted all the workers' documentation in order ASAP. He pays good wages and wants to keep these people.
  
• Luciana pleaded with her father to let her find work. He refused, saying she belonged in school.
  
• Ramon collected money from the other workers to help Marcos. Marta told him she didn't know where to send it. Marcos called but neither he nor Luciana saw El Coyote's goons watching them. Marta told him she decided that she and León will return to Mexico.
  
• Juan was in his office talking to an unidentified person, saying that he is in no hurry to process the immigration papers. The net of this conversation is that he is going to betray David. Lillian heard some of this from the doorway. [She will either blackmail him or make an accomplice of him.]
  
• The goons reported back to El Coyote with a sense of urgency. He told them they were going to grab the girl and if they had to get rid of the father, so be it. [Where are the pitchforks?]
