They're showing the novelas on Thanksgiving? Well, I will be at my son's house. I go up (90 miles away) Wednesday and am the official turkey roaster, rising early to prepare stuffing, etc. Sometimes I come home that night and sometimes not. But I won't be doing a Thursday recap.
I am doing one for Silvana tonight.
novelera - I can cover for you on the Thanksgiving night episode. It will be brief but enough to get us started.
While Majo is in her wedding dress, Vicente texts her asking if she’s changed her mind. Outside the dressing room Trini is thrilled to be spending time with el desiñador de las fresas. She puts out a trial balloon - if in an imaginary situation she, herself, were getting married, would he give her a wedding dress?
Lucha tells Andrés to go ahead and tell Majo about their kiss, but then he needs to provide her with a bodyguard or maybe a large wall between the two houses. Andrés admits that Majo is a bit infantile [ya think?]. Then Andrés tells her he won’t ever forget that kiss, gently pushing her hair back from her face. Very odd behavior for someone who’s getting married so soon.
In that Bedroom for Three Males Jorge tries to pretend he’s organizing a bachelorette for “someone”. Vicente catches on and says he knows the perfect guy to be the stripper. [I think we can hazard a guess, can’t we?]
At Casa Montenegro María José, at her most self-absorbed, is babbling in front of her laptop. With her usual modesty, she’s letting Andrés know how special she’s going to look. He tries a couple of times to get her to listen to him.
AJ appears to be spending a lot of time at the bakery. [Apparently the writers have forgotten about Manuel installing a set up with cable and wi-fi at Casa Chivis, because he complains about the cell service there.] Apparently his new lawyer is one Jacobo. He’s also, it seems, bet on some ponies with this guy. He tries again to scam Don Benito.
Jorge and Angie come into the bakery together. AJ has a hard time coming up with a pleasant face.
Stella tells Dom she’s not seeing dog doc anymore because he insinuated she was in love with Poncho. Dom says he feels the same way. Poncho arrives to say that he’s invited Jonas and Génesis to dinner to meet his “family”.
Andrés finally gets MJ’s attention and tells her that he and Lucha kissed. At first she says that she can’t reproach him because what she did was worse. But, of course, she gets snotty in a hurry and asks him a lot of questions. She goes on to wonder how he could have enjoyed kissing una naca insípida like Lucha.
Poncho asks Stella to make una mariscada (seafood platter) for the guests. He says he’ll buy the fish. She puts on one of her bi-polar acts. She’s nice and pleasant for a second and then turns nasty. Poncho reminds her of how he and Dom playacted as her servants when she was dating Esteban.
Trini comes to the bakery. Snore. FF>>>>> She does invite Don B to the wedding.
Laura comes home. MJ thinks that her almost suegra hates her. But Laura assures her that she loves her. She also says that Andrés’ father is going to drop the lawsuit. MJ is very happy and embraces her. Laura says she only asks one thing: that MJ make her tesorito happy.
We then get an almost unbearable scene with Antonio José, Angie, and Jorge, who are having some meal together at Casa Chivis. He’s fake nice through the whole thing. When he asks Jorge’s age and finds out he’s almost 19, he wonders why he’s still in high school and not in college. Chivis comes home, and Angie greets her with relief. AJ announces that he met Stella and found out she was Manuel’s girlfriend. Jorge says that she WAS. AJ asks why they split up. Chivis is disgusted and tells him that children don’t know about the “sentimental life” of their parents. She goes on to tell him that it’s one thing to live nearby and quite another to be a gossip. He drops the bomb that Stella wants to talk with him.
Angie tries to get Jorge out of there. She starts to take him up to the girls’ bedroom to talk about the bachelorette event. AJ moves his fat keister at unbelievable speed across the room to prevent their going upstairs. As if this were HIS house, he insists they talk in the living room. Jorge, poor guy, again tells Angie that he’s uncomfortable with AJ.
And, whaaaaat? Majo comes home and reproves her sister and Jorge for kissing in the living room. She tells them that her friends are looking forward to the salsadromo, to hearing the music “you people” listen to. [As if poor people were a tribe and the rich ones anthropologists.] She makes some remark about the place being naqui-chic. [Would someone slap her upside the head, please.]
Andrés is meeting with AJ at some outdoor restaurant. AJ comments about how happy he is MJ is marrying someone so preparado [read rich, here]. Then he has the gall to tell the astonished Andrés that both Andrés’ father and HE HIMSELF were defrauded. Andrés, logical, asks why he didn’t denounce those people. AJ says he has no evidence. Andrés tells the jerk that his parents are going to drop the lawsuit.
At Casa Stella the Three Stooges are preparing for the big dinner. Poncho asks Dom if he could put on a little less magia (less gay). Dom says he is who he is and isn’t going to pretend to be otherwise. Génesis and Jonas arrive. When Dom offers them a drink, they say they don’t drink alcohol.
At the salsadromo Majo and her friends sing along to a karaoke of the Vicente and Majo love song. [I hope the Majo actress isn’t planning on a career in musicals.]
AJ comes to Chivis’ bedroom and AGAIN closes her closet doors! She asks why he asked Jorge all those unpleasant questions. It appeared to mostly be about Manuel. He says he doesn’t understand why Manuel and Stella broke up; they’re perfect together. [read lower class]. She tells him it’s her turn to ask some questions. She wants to know who’s defending him because she isn’t going to let this drag on. If necessary she’ll speak to the judge. She doesn’t want him in her house, and she wants him to give her a date when he’ll be gone!
Novelera, once again your recap is a lot more interesting than the episode. Many thanks.
I loved your comments, especially "[I think we can hazard a guess, can’t we?]" Yup. I'll be astonished if it's not Vicente.
Majo was even more insufferable than usual in this episode. I continue to find it hard to understand why both Andrés and Vicente are so in love with her. At least Andrés is likely not to have to put up with her for much longer, but it looks as if Vicente will be stuck with this spoiled child for life. Although church wedding or not, I doubt the marriage will last.
I'm glad Angie was at the table when AJ started in on Jorge again. When she was so pleased at AJ's treatment of Rafael the Rat, I was afraid she was going to be won over to Team AJ. However, his overbearing manner and outright nastiness to Jorge will probably keep her seeing AJ for what he is. I think at one point AJ commented in front of Jorge that clearly oral communication isn't Jorge's thing. What a [expletive deleted]!
At the end of the episode, I was delighted to see that Chivis seems to be taking our advice about being less passive. Brava!
Alberio, holding a gun to Hernan's forehead threatens him over Cata, but Hernan pleads his undying love for her, Hilda remembers Alberio has a gun so she and Cata find them talking, but don't show themselves,
Hernan wins him over, Alberio accepts him as family, they hug, and besides, the gun wasn't loaded, Cata and Hilda are thrilled and sneak away.
Belen wants to hire Hernan, but he has other things on his mind, he will work but may have to leave.
Capitan will bug Anibal's and Hernan's phone to find them, Yesica wants them dead.
Calvo has a kill list so long he doesn't know where to start.
Hernan talks to Alberio about the pre-nup and Hilda's law suit, they might be coming after you.
Marcial's spirits haven't improved, no friends, where's Titi, he won't eat, and if things couldn't be worse, he discovers he can't feel his legs.
Jota calls Alberio, Paola is back and Titi wants to buy the house.
Titi with Martina and Paola are off to buy a new ride, in black, cash,
Titi is back!
Vanessa thinks he is up to his old tricks.
Cata shows Hernan the money, he sees by the dates it's not 20 years old, and from a stamp on all the bills it's most likely Diabla's money, they just wanted you to leave.
Capitan says no smoking because of his kids, Yesica takes their picture and uses it for an ashtray.
Jota calls Daniel who looks like he had a drunk night alone, and doesn't answer, or the door bell either, it's his mom being delivered, and... the attendants leave her there sitting on the wall.
Vanessa and Jota arrive at the cemetery, she goes to her daughters grave while Jota gets things ready for digging up Yesica's grave later tonight.
Hernan and Cata hide the money in a hanging plant.
Titi visits Marcial who calls him naive, tells him to leave and don't come back...
thank you so much for the recap novelera!
so AJ has friends, the dress designer was not only doing a dress for the too fat/too skinny Majo but for all of the girls, do you think that once AJ gets back on his feet he will run for president, scary thought.
was Manuel in this episode?
I like Juanito, I think he should keep a couple of rats around as the occasion warrants.
did we ever meet Andres' dad?
MaJo is a disaster looking for a happy ending, but I love that she never stops searching, she holds her phone close to her chest when Vicente texts her,
and Vicente has seen the goodness Chivas has instilled in her daughter.
novelera – Thank you for the recap and the snark. I’ll fry my brain and watch this episode later today over lunch.
Good on Silvana in asking AJD when he plans to move out, while Viewerville knows his real answer would be, “um … never”. Kick. Him. To. The. Curb. Now.
deb – I don’t think we’ve ever seen Andres’ father.
”MaJo is a disaster looking for a happy ending, but I love that she never stops searching, she holds her phone close to her chest when Vicente texts her,” I just love how you worded that.
”and Vicente has seen the goodness Chivas has instilled in her daughter.” and I must have missed that episode. LOL
Call me a cynic, but I am waiting for something to blow up with the Poncho/Genesis/El Supremo filler(story line), since that relationship cannot go anywhere.
SpanProf - the adjective possibilities: two-faced; hypocrite, back-stabber
Thank you, novelera, for the whole episode and for sitting through the Three Stooges scenes. When I hear that chipmunk voice I hit the FF>> button and rely on the recap (selfish of me, I know). My beanie is off too you--momentarily--then I have to put it back on at 8 o'clock and tighten it.
I'm beginning to see why the actor for AJD was chosen. There's nothing likable about his character, save his teddy bear shape that Lupita and Majo seem to need and want.
How is Vicente going to make over a shallow gal into a smart, loving, sympathetic, helpful partner for him. If they weren't siblings, I would say Lucha is a better match than anyone else we've seen on the horizon.
I wish someone would just spill the beans on Manuel and Chivis--BUT NOT Stella. She has her own truth, as we have seen, and it certainly is not the real truth. Even if she tells the real truth, who will believe her, EXCEPT AJD, that is. At de mi. More entanglements.
Please, I take it back, bring back the tapping on walls and balcony meetings between Chivis and Manuel (although I certainly wouldn't object to some more kissing between the two of them). Chivis finally put her arms around Manuel in that last round of kissing. Yay!
Thank you, novelera. I'm almost afraid to hope that Chivis will keep strong and follow through on kicking AJ out. Please, please!
This will be shorter than my usual recap, since I have to have it posted before I go to bed. We see Chivis again telling AJ that she doesn't want him to stay in the house indefinitely, she wants a deadline (fecha límite) set by when he has to leave. AJ wants to know why she's so intent on getting him out. Is it so that she can be with el vecino?
Lucha and Andrés talk on the phone. He has told Majo about his kissing Lucha, and Majo was very jealous. He tells Lucha that for him the kiss was not some insignificant trifle (tontería), and Lucha admits that it wasn't for her, either. When the conversation ends, Lucha looks as if she's about to cry.
A distressingly large portion of this episode was given over to the Three Stooges. Poncho has invited Génesis and her father, Don Jonas, to dinner to meet his "family." When they arrive, Stella proposes a toast. Dom says they should toast the couple, who are now novios. What?? says Don Jonas, taken aback. What do you mean, novios? Génesis tells her father that Poncho has asked her to be his novia, and she has agreed. Well, says her father, in that case, we have to talk more seriously. He immediately asks Poncho what his intentions are. "How do you see the future with my daughter?" Poncho has a vision of himself as a rock star, a celebrity, sitting on a bed with a guitar, being interviewed by someone. With him on the bed are Stella on one side and Génesis on the other. He lies back on the bed, embracing both women together before snapping out of his fantasy.
Don Jonas then asks Stella what she thinks about love. It's fantasy time again: Stella sees herself in an elegant long dress, dancing by herself in her house while two women lie dead on the couch and chair [possibly Chivis and Génesis, though my TV's picture wasn't big enough to see them clearly]. Manuel and Poncho enter the house and ask what happened. Stella says they ate apples from the refrigerator and died. Either the refrigerator or the apples had uranium, which apparently caused the death. [No, how could I be making this up?] What do we do now? Poncho asks. We seek happiness, replies Manuel, and he and Stella start dancing. She gives him the half-eaten apple she's been eating. [There's more, but let's FF>>]
The scene shifts to the Salsadromo, where Majo's snooty fresa "friends" are making snide remarks about the dance hall and its disgusing bathroom. They ask Majo how Angie found this place. Majo tells them Angie worked there. They're aghast. She worked in a bar? We see someone [guess who] getting into a costume and mask.
Back in Chivis' bedroom, the conversation continues between her and AJ. He keeps saying that she wants him to leave so that she can be with Manuel. She claims that she wants AJ to leave so she can remake her life. He insists that they were a happy couple. She agrees--with his use of the past tense. He claims that they had a good life with a minor interruption when he made a mistake.
Meanwhile, Don Jonas says that according to Génesis, Poncho has asked for her hand in marriage. Poncho is, uh, whoa...matrimonio?? No, no, we were talking about a noviazgo. Don Jonas isn't pleased. "We don't like noviazgos. They pave the way for licentiousness" (libertinaje). He then insists again, "Do you want to marry my daughter?"
At the Salsadromo, the stripper finally appears, wearing a mask and a cape but no shirt. He bounds toward Majo. The crowd chants "Beso, beso." He brings his masked face close to Majo, who says, astonished, "I know you!" They kiiiiiiissssss. Majo pulls his mask off. Vicente grins at her. Her response [all together now, Viewerville]: "Oh my god!" Vicente tells Majo, "I needed to give you a last kiss before you marry. That's why I came. Now I can leave calmly," and out he goes.
Majo berates Angie, thinking she arranged for Vicente to be the stripper. Majo claims that her party has been ruined. Angie explains that she too was surprised to see Vicente. She had left the stripper arrangements to Jorge. She assures Majo that she'll make sure that Andrés doesn't learn about this [though how she'll manage that isn't at all clear].
Back at Stella's, Don Jonas is still asking Poncho whether he is going to marry Génesis. He wants a simple answer: yes or no. "No," shouts Stella. "How can Poncho marry Génesis? He has nothing to offer her." That's all it takes: Poncho replies, "OK, that's it. There's going to be a wedding! (Así quedamos. ¡Va a haber boda!)
Yes, the episode is almost over, and Chivis and AJ are still talking in her bedroom. She thanks him for all the years he gave her. He says he did everything for love. She replies that he thought of himself, not of his family. "You did dirty business dealings out of ambition. When you fled the country, you weren't thinking of us, you were thinking of yourself. You didn't even ask my opinion. Your plans were yours, not your family's." She finally tells him that he left their marriage before she did, and it took his becoming a fugitive for her to realize this. Always the manipulator, he suggests that as long as there's nothing going on between "the neighbor" and her, she should invite him to the wedding.
Lucha has a heart-to-heart with Manuel in his bedroom. She admits that she has fallen in love with Andrés. After at first thinking that they were from different worlds, she realized that they shared the same values and had much in common. She knows that he has feelings for her, but they came too late. He's going to marry Majo. Manuel embraces her, and she cries in his arms.
In the final scene, we see Vicente walking away from the Salsadromo. Majo calls after him. They talk. He admits that he tried his best to dissuade her from marrying el doctorcito, but he failed. He'll just have to remember the kiss they had in the Salsadromo. And then he leaves. Majo stands there as the episode ends, looking dazed, confused, and miserable.
Titi tells Marcial he is never leaving his side, Marcial makes him sadly go, where he runs into Chuky bringing Daniela's dna results, Titi gives him money to get Marcial anything he needs.
Daniela is heading home to see if the house is safe to return to, Capitan tells Yesica they found Anibal's phone but not him.
Vanessa weeps at Adriana's grave, Jota comforts her, calls Daniel who finally answers, yes he will help digging up Yesica's grave, Jota tells him to wear black so he will blend in, meanwhile Daniel's mom who has been sitting outside wanders away.
Cata, Hernan, Alberio and Hilda arrive at Vanessa's, Hernan holds Cata back so he can steal a kiss, Daniela driving by sees them, ut oh, and as she drives on Martina spots her car and slumps down in the seat, Titi is confused, Martina says if Daniela is around it can't be good.
Titi drops off Martina and Paola at their house, he will get a room, he doesn't want to stay, Martina says she will make him happy, but he leaves.
Daniel's mom can't find her house, they all look alike.
Jota discusses strategy, Ximena and Vanessa will distract the guard, while they dig, it will take about an hour.
Daniela arrives at her house, she is upset about Hernan, gets her gun.
at the cemetery Xinena and Vanessa, tricked out in their hottest clubwear, arrive with a flat tire on Jota's jeep, and get the guard to help while the rest sneak in.
Calvo rounds up 5 new guys from another barrio for a job.
Daniela decides to kill herself, as in recruit some help in hell to make Hernan's life miserable, but wait, it's only a dream, she is awaken by Yesica's call, yes, the house is ok, they will spend the night there, the Capitan is more than happy to get Diabla out of his house.
Jota's tire is fixed and our guys are taking forever digging up the coffin, oh wait there it is...
(odd that Hernan and Cata didn't come along)
thanks so much Juanita, delightful!
ah yes uranium apples, so this is not a "snow white" thingy.
curious that Génesis' dad is surprised to learn they are novios, but later he says "according to Génesis, Poncho has asked for her hand in marriage", hmm, is there any truth in Stellas words that Poncho is being conned.
ah but I was waiting for a professional stripper show from Vicente, I guess it's safe to say Lucha won't be the stripper at Andres party, apparently so boring the film crew didn't even go.
Vicente is just so smooth (and sincere), it's time for him to have his own bedroom.
Juanita --- Thank you for the recap and the snark! I will watch this episode while cooking today. ☺
”AJ wants to know why she's so intent on getting him out. Is it so that she can be with el vecino?”
THIS is why Chivis was so stupid to allow AJD to ever stay in her house! Gah!
Oh my, more of the Three Stooges a/k/a “filler”. I guess this is all leading up to Stella+Poncho? Bless you for having to watch it, so that you can report back to us that it was FFWD>>>worthy. I’ll be taking one for the team … er … Patio on Thursday night. LOL I might need a piece of Thanksgiving dessert to suffer thru it. And may AJ the Despicable choke on a Thanksgiving turkey bone.
Thank you, Juanita! The recap was perfect and didn't need to be any longer. What I wish were longer was Vicente's dance. Oh, well!
I kept looking at Majo, with all her whining and posturing with her fake friends, and thinking, this spoiled child is going to be someone's WIFE tomorrow?? Just, no.
I'm disappointed in Chivis. That conversation with AJ went nowhere, and she let him manipulate (did you see his smirk as he reminded her of the good times?) and bully her about her relationship with Manuel. They are back to square one. She has no clue about his legal situation, about the case against him, and she's letting HIM dictate the terms of their relationship. It doesn't matter that she hasn't let him back into her bed. She's let him back into her home and has allowed him to affect her relationship with her family, friends, and boyfriend. She's ignorant of his business dealings and under his control. How is this different than before he blew up her world and became a fugitive?
Thanks, Juanita. I loved your recap. Too many gems to even quote since I have to start packing up the car to leave for my son's house.
I just don't get it. Chivis should have just told AJD that, yes, she's mad for the neighbor and can hardly wait to get him in bed. Ok, that's not her style but she should just tell him she's in love with someone else.
SpanProf, thanks for mentioning that AJD lied and said he didn't have a lawyer. And good point about his making his calls from the bakery to hide this.
And, the fresa friends were definitely interested in Vicente. MJ looked like she had bitten into a lemon when they were trying to get his phone number from her.
Watched this episode while cooking. Juanita - that was definitely Chivis on the sofa during Stella's daydream, and I never could see her face but I'd swear the other female was Genesis.
It is appalling that Genesis' father would want to marry her off to some guy she just met, WITHOUT them dating. I don't think he nor his church are up to anything weird. They're just super conservative. My CrackPot Theory™ is this is a plot device to wake Stella up to realize she cares about Poncho. Beyond that, Jane The Virgin makes more sense than our Three Stooges.
I love how Stella consistently butchers Genesis' name. LOL! This time, it was "Prosthesis."
That final scene between Majo and Vicente makes me wonder where Majo will wake up the next morning. The night ain't over yet ...
Thanks novelera and Juanita for the recaps! We're almost to the darn wedding. Or will it be a non-wedding?
Wow, thanks to you all for your wonderful comments. I hadn't really thought about the possibility that Poncho was being conned, but that would be a neat parallel to Stella's experience with Steve (except that she was also conning him). Right now, I think Génesis and her father are just extremely conservative. I agree with doris that this is just a plot device to make Stella realize that she loves Poncho. Yuck.
Vivi, I too am disappointed in Chivis, for all the reasons you so cogently stated. However, her lighting into AJ in Monday and Tuesday's episodes suggests that perhaps she's been reading our discussion. If so, our disappointment with her may spur her on to Get Tough.
SpanProf, somehow, the significance of AJ's phone conversations at the bakery hadn't registered with me. Thanks very much for pointing out what they indicated and why he called from the bakery.
Novelera, yes, Majo's fresa friends were really turned on by Vicente, much to her distress. I meant to include that in the recap, but....
Doris, thanks for confirming the likely identities of the dead women in Stella's fantasy. And good luck with your recap on Thursday. You're entitled to as much Thanksgiving dessert as you can handle, and then some!
J, it looks as if you may get an interesting episode to recap tonight. I strongly doubt, though, that anyone who wasn't married before the episode began will be married at its conclusion. (That leaves open the possiblity that there will be a boda, or at least the start of one. Will Majo pull out ahead of time? In mid-wedding march? Say "I don't" rather than "I do"? Will she have her phone with her hoping for a text from Vicente as she marches down the aisle? And what about Andrés's growing doubts? I can't wait!
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
The ONLY thing I like about the 3 Stooges show are the dream sequences. I do rewind to watch them. They at least show some imagination.
J--Good luck tonight. I hope you don't get a boda. Just how not to get there will be fun. Reading Juanita's possibilities, any of them would work. Wonder what AJD will do in the situation if she balks, or Chivis? Will we meet Andres' father? Will Trini faint? Will Majo faint? Hmmm. More possibilities to ponder.
"Sin senos sí hay paraíso" gran final, 3 hours! monday 28 nov., what?
"Será un desenlace de tres horas repleto de acción que promete no dejar indiferente a nadie. De hecho sucederá algo impactante que dejará con la boca abierta a más de uno. No se va hablar de otra cosa en días."
[It will be a three-hour wrap-up full of action that promises not to leave anyone indifferent. In fact, something shocking will happen that will leave your mouth open more than once. We will not talk about anything else for days.]
from People en Espanol
deb, thanks for this info. I wonder whether that means that neither of the other evening telenovelas will be shown next Monday.
Juanita- zap2it.com says nothing but "Sin Senos" on monday.
if anyone is interested, these little summaries I have been writing for a week or so should bring you up to speed (although I messed up the dates and episode numbers on some, they are all complete and in order) but the story itself is pretty transparent, and the individual scenes are so rich it might be worth watching, even if you have not seen any of the story.
(oh and I don't plan to do any summaries for monday)
Can someone please start the header or whatever it is for Telemundo telenovelas, where I will post tomorrow's recap? Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃 🦃 🦃
doris, you should post your recap the same way you post a comment. If you want to put a title on it, just put that on the top. For example, novelera's recap on Monday had a title that said SILVANA--LUNES--Parte 1 de 2.
You may be thinking of Univisión novela recaps--those are written somewhere else and then scheduled, labelled, etc etc. LXV and I use that procedure to create the twice-weekly Telemundo pages. But the procedure for Telemundo recaps is different. You just write them as a long comment. (Or more than one long comment.) If you have more questions, you can either ask them here or write to me privately via email at cq9 AT yahoo DOT com .
they open Yesica's coffin, (the smell is horrendous) it's not her, Vale says they must take the body or Yesica will make it disappear, Daniel has a better idea, he takes pictures and gets a dna sample, they put everything back the way it was.
Ximena and Vanessa are doing their best stalling the guard, Jota calls and lets Vanessa know they are done, they meet at a prearranged place, the girls will ride back while the guys get a cab, the cops show up.
Daniela and Yesica go through some papers of Anibals, Capitan says he will have Hernan's location by tomorrow.
the recovering Anibal flirts with his secretary, wants to marry her, should she believe him?
the police show up and question the girls, they check papers, the jeeps insurance expired a month ago, they will have to tow it, the guys are hiding near by, Jota sets off the lights and siren in their patrol car, they worry about ghosts and let the girls go, Jota calls them and says they will meet back at the house.
Titi meets with Gato for a talk and a drink, Titi wants to go all in, Gato is content with his 100 kilos a month, besides there are 3 cartels we will have to fight, Titi works on him, we'll start small and take out Daniela first.
Martina and Paola talk, first about Yesica's death, then Martina asks about Titi, how will she fit in, Paola says she won't, if Titi goes to the top, he'll have lots of women, but I love him Martini says.
as Gato and Titi work out the details, Gato says, you need to let Martina go, I know her well, she's too ambitious, and with business over, they bring on the girls.
our guys meet at Vanessa's house, what should they do with what they found out, 2 choices, give it to the police, or keep it a secret, Cata goes for keeping it a secret, the police are corrupt and keeping it quiet will allow them to kill Yesica, Daniel has a third solution, turn her over to the DEA.
Marcial is awake, he will be released in two days, and Chuky has been waiting outside his room, he has brought Daniela's dna test, but it's downstairs, Marcial tells him to go get it, and when he gets back they start to read it, but the nurse comes and Chuky shouldn't be there and then along comes the doctor so Chuky has to hide and...
our guys talk strategy and it comes down to a vote, should they kill Yesica or turn her over to the DEA,
Daniel DEA
Vale kill
Ximena kill
Hilda DEA
Alberio DEA
Hernan kill
Jota DEA
Cata kill
4 to 4 and now Vanessa, who can't decide to leave this in god's hands or to kill Yesica with her own two hands...
Juanita - The Telemundo "page" is what needs to be created for the Thursday & Friday recaps and comments. I did not know what it is called.
Aaaaand we’re still moving at a snail’s pace… We’ve only made it to the morning of the wedding so far. Thanks to the scheduling geniuses at Telemundo, I'm assuming the wedding/non-wedding? episode will be on today. Happy Thanksgiving!
Vicente says goodbye to a sad Majo. Angie chases away the obnoxious friends who keep asking Majo for his number.
Trini continues to be a pain to Chivis. She claims she will move out if Chivis starts dating Manuel. [Good riddance to bad rubbish, I say!]
Cute balcony scene. Chivis tells Manuel that AJ is inviting him to Majo’s wedding. Of course she’ll have to spend time with AJ since it’s a family event, so they can’t really be together much. Manuel wonders where where he and Chivis will get married. Chivis seems delighted by the idea.
Oh hey it’s Steve! Didn’t think we’d see him again. Of course his boss, Roberto, is friends with AJ. AJ convinces him to invest some money in his latest shady deal/con/whatever. Steve will also be the driver to take Majo to the church.
Angie gets drunk Majo home, who keeps laughing and making noise. She refuses to go to bed and stays in the bathroom. Angie doesn’t want to leave her alone since she knows she’s sad. She promises not to hang herself with the hairdryer cord. [Yikes!] She looks at herself in the mirror and says mi enmascarado planteado (my ??? masked man)… mi Vicente.
Jorge is slightly annoyed at Vicente for his luchador act. Falling in love makes you stupid is his defense. He knows that Majo is only marrying Andres for his money. Jorge points out that she’s not worth it then. Vicente thinks that she’s not really that way; it’s just the way she was brought up. She is different when they are together.
Dom in a Turbie Twist even though he has no hair wants to hypnotize the dog. Poncho interrupts and Dom accuses him of only being with Genesis to make Stella jealous. At first he claims to really like Genesis but then wants to know what Stella said. Dom warns him that Jonas might be a psychopath and who knows what he’ll do if Poncho hurts Genesis.
Lucha looks at photos of Andres on her computer. She remembers their kiss and cries on her bed. Andres looks at his suit for the wedding and remembers when he overheard Vicente and Majo talking about making love. Majo sits alone in her room next to her dress, looking miserable. Vicente cries on his bed, remembering being with Majo at the motel.
It’s finally wedding day! Trini talks very loudly to get Majo up, who really just wants to stay in bed.
Manuel tries to get a sad Vicente out of bed. Manuel tells him it’ll be ok and he’ll find someone else. Vicente really just wants to be with Majo.
Hungover Majo at breakfast. Angie and Chivis tell her everything is taken care of. AJ makes a comment about how marriage is for life. Lupita brings up friends at school who have parents in second or third marriages. Classist Trini says that’s a middle class thing. Majo looks more and more unsure.
Stella takes the dog back the pet shop and it bites the shop assistant.
Pedro complains to Lupita about the suit he has to wear. She tells him again that her parents are separating.
AJ complains to Angie about men taking his beautiful women away from him. He asks her if it’s true that Jorge broke up with Margarita to be with her. Angie admits it. AJ asks why she doesn’t think that Jorge won’t just leave her for another woman.
doris, the Telemundo page is put up twice a week--it appears Mondays at 3 PM and is up until it is replaced by the page that goes up Thursdays at 8 PM. LXV and I are responsible for putting them up. The Thursday page will appear at 8 PM today. It will be up just as tonight's episode begins, so there should be no problem. You just go to the page the way you always do and post your recap in the same way that you post comments.
I hope what I've said is clear. It's hard for me to know, since sometimes the things one knows best are the hardest to explain. If you still have questions, don't hesitate to post them here or privately at cq9 AT yahoo DOT com (I wrote it this way to thwart programs that automatically collect email addresses--you should of course write the address in a normal way, substituting @ for AT, etc.).
One piece of advice: as far as I know, the Preview mechanism is still screwed up, not just here but on all Blogspot blogs. Don't use it! Just read over what you've written in the box before clicking on Publish Your Comment.
Thanks muchly, J, for a mercifully concise recap. I wish the writers had been equally kind. I kept looking at my watch last night wishing the episode were over. Yawn.
I loved your remark re Trini: "[Good riddance to bad rubbish, I say!]" Amen!
The one surprising thing for me was the reappearance of Steve. I wonder how/whether that will complicate things. And will Steve's boss lose a lot of money thanks to AJ? And if he does...????
I missed what Majo said in the mirror except for "mi Vicente." Is it possible that she said "plantado" rather than "planteado"? I know the expression "dejar plantado" means to jilt, so if she said "plantado," she may be saying "my jilted masked man," which makes sense re Vicente.
Wow, AJ becomes more and more hateful. What a nasty thing to say to Angie about Jorge! I'm happy, however, that AJ is likely to be the one left for someone else.
Happy Thanksgiving.
J - thank you for the recap! I haven't watched this episode yet, don't now if I'll find time, so your summary did a great job of keeping me up to speed.
