How long does the torture go on? How many remaining episodes are there? This telenovela showed have ended months ago and the characters (except for Angie) have worn out their novelty and welcome.

SILVANA – JUEVES
This will be brief.
María José tells Angie about Andrés going to México. She says she feels bad about his going. She also tells Angie she wishes she could combine Andy and Chente into one guy.
There’s a very cute scene with Lucha and Pedrito where he offers her his shoulder to lean on when she feels badly about Andrés.
Stella bounds downstairs gloating over the breakup of Chivis and Manuel. She says: ¡Soy avasalladora! [overwhelming]. Dom bursts her bubble a bit telling her that now she’ll be un plato de seguna mesa.
[I’m noticing a lot more flashbacks lately, an obvious padding of the show. The first one we see is Manuel brooding on the balcony and remembering their day in Key West.]
Trini notices her daughter’s very sad face. Chivis confesses that she’s in love with Manuel just like an adolescent and they’re over.
Stella creeps into Manuel’s bed in a red satin nightie. But…surprise! It’s Vicente in the bed. She screams and wakes up both households. Manuel tells her he’s not sleeping there until she puts the wall back.
At the mansion Lupita is apparently going to Girl Scout camp. Snore.
Chivis is about to leave to take Lupita there when Fat Toad shows up. Lupita isn’t happy he had to ring the bell.
Angie is about to walk right by AJ without speaking when he says they have to talk. Bottom line: he tells her to break it off with Jorge or forget about her father. She is furious and ends up calling him on his crap. She tells him he dislikes Jorge because he’s jealous of Manuel and angry with her mother. She ends up telling him she doesn’t think her mother is coming back to him because she’s in love with Manuel.
Trini comes to see Don Benito. Margarita is quite nice to her and apologizes for saying mean things to her.
When Chivis comes to the terminal Stella starts yelling out to the whole place about the breakup with Manuel. Chivis finally tells Stella in no uncertain terms what a lowlife she is, but she makes herself look bad in the process.
Don Benito tells Trini he’s going to ask her to be in a relationship the right way.
Majo appears to ignore Vicente when he calls to say his class was cancelled and he’d like to get together.
Chivis comes into the office. She says she didn’t realize Manuel was still there. She says she can work on the other side of the room. Then she asks him to tell Stella to lay off with her crazy behavior. He’s very cool. He tells her she’ll have to work things out with Stella herself. Because the problems of the two women are part of his past.

Monica has some doubt about Saul and AG, Saul said the girl he loves was at the hospital but I called AG and she wasn't, and then wonders about Gabino being there, is he following us.
Gabino takes Saul's statement, if it was a mugging what did they take, oh nothing, so it's someone you've made mad as a lawyer, or a woman, not a woman Saul says.
Yesenia reads the tarot cards, it's Monica, she is going her own way, and there is a woman that wants to help, no not her mother, ah must be Regina, Lazaro wants them to keep Monica away from all those people, and there is a man in uniform, police? military?, this isn't good.
Gabino then talks to Jaime, do you know anyone that would want to hurt your son, ah AG.
Leticia is meeting with Valeria, she needs some way to justify Felipe's letter to take the tenement, Val calls in Lopez and gives him the problem, he returns with some information on the law, blah, blah, and taking a property by eminent domain can be justified if there is illicit activity on the site that makes it in the best interest of the community to do so. Leticia is impressed, Val is trying to hold on to her stone face, sends him for coffee at a stand 3 blocks away.
Monica and Lidya are at the offices, they wonder about how they are dressed, oh well, and go in, the girl at the desk lets them pass and they wander around with big bags of sandwiches selling them here and there when the word goes out, "La Dona" is here and everyone drops what they are doing and takes their places, Monica says hi when AG walks by, oh it's you , AG says, come with me.
Marcos meets Isabel at school, she's all happy, he tells her he's not coming back to school, it's over, he doesn't want to see her again, wow, and this was the first time Isabel stood up to her aunt, he says he doesn't love her, she slaps him, when you come to your senses, don't come looking for me she says, and walks.
AG just wants to be updated on Saul, Monica asks how close they are, what? AG moves on, says she has had a rough day (remembering her struggle with Miguel) and collapses into a chair.
later Saul calls AG from the hospital, wants her, she says they can't be seen together, Felipe would use his influence against them, now he wants her more than ever.
Diego wants to help Isabel with her school work, she no longer cares, she broke up with Marcos, men are dirt, Regina tries to slow her down but she leaves, as Saul calls posing as a business man looking for AG, she doesn't use this phone for business Regina tells him, but I've tried the other places, and she is not at work, ah, he gets an idea.
AG is at the ranch with Braulio, the body is gone, they talk about a project and how Felipe's office is signing everything they send him, and about the upcoming divorce, it will look like it was Felipe's idea, she then sends Braulio away so that she is alone.
Rafael is at Felipe's office with a draft of a news release showing they are separating as friends, etc, etc, anything you would like to add, yes Felipe says, that she is a corrupt business woman who was cheating on me, but they don't.
the detective from Veracruz is in town to talk to Margarita and Saul, but he isn't there, it was news to her that he was shot and just released today, anyway, she tells Margarita in her experience anyone missing this long is dead, if he wanted to find you he already would have, his bank accounts have been untouched, and there is no demand for ransom, Margarita flashes on AG saying she has people that will take care of him)
Yesenia has been walking Monica to AG's offices everyday, and today trying to put a wedge between her and Saul, and Monica has noticed that Yesenia always stops short and will never go in, stopping her in her tracks, so Yesenia rants on how shady and untrustworthy AG is, and how do you know this Monica asks, again that blank look on Yesenia.

AG is enjoying a cigar and a drink, is she waiting for Saul to arrive, did she know he would find her, and here he comes, (of course he would remember his first meeting with her here, she naked) he wants her, she's scared, that happens when you jump into the unknown, and these are all new feelings for her.
Bralio is coaching Diego on Isabela, the closer you get to her, the closer I get to being a partner in the business.
as Yesenia walks home Braulio spots her, gets out of his car, and here are two people who have no love for each other, Yesenia knows how AG uses him, it's to bad she is not into you, she would of course pick someone with balls, he forces her into his car.
Felipe rants to Regina about AG, she'll get my house, 50% of what I own, she'll use Saul to get that land and then discard him too, she is a whore, uses sex as a weapon, she would never look at me when did it.
and basking in the glow with Saul, AG says she never knew she could feel this way and as they go for another round Saul asks her to look into his eyes, she does.

Looks like AG and Braulio made some enhancements to the torture chamber in preparation for their next "guest".
I really wish that AG hadn't ordered the death (burying alive) of that poor innocent man at the beginning of this, because then I would be able to feel a little bit of sympathy for her and enjoy her scenes with Saul more, and be happy for her that she's finally made love to a good man for the first time in her life.
Saul certainly is all in with AG. Does he even remember the name of his ex-girlfriend? I bet she hasn't even crossed his mind since the construction site makeout session with AG.

I didn't even remember his girlfriend until his mom threw out her name in the hospital getting on him about AG.
It's easier for me to understand AG's fascination with him as she is linking him to Cesar, her first (and so far only) love, but I guess his obsession with her begins with his sister's death from abuse, and his dedication to helping women in that situation, and that he believes he can help her.
and then we have Valeria, who even AG walks all over, who I think craves the rough treatment from her husband, but at the same time wants to be loved.
ah yes, the innocent guy she buried alive, I think that is pretty much the theme of the story, can she ever be redeemed, so far she has 2 fans, Monica and Margarita, and a loyal sister.
this is a classic story and has a lot of depth and is being done surprisingly well.

Great recap, novelera. I think you got everything important with wonderful brevity. I loved Stella's sneaking into Manuel's bed only to find Chente sleeping there. That scene and Angie's terrific dressing down of AJ made the episode worth watching.
Yes, I too have noticed increased use of flashbacks (aka filler). For some reason, Telemundo is determined to drag this thing out until mid January. Another tactic they're using: replacing the Friday episodes with movies. It's true not just tonight but also next Friday (and perhaps other Fridays as well...the schedule I saw didn't yet include Jan. 6 or 13).
I somehow missed Manuel's saying he wouldn't sleep in his bed again until Stella restores the wall. I'm glad you mentioned that. And thanks, too, for avasalladora.

Ah, you encountered the magic brackets that make things disappear. They're used all the time for coding commands such as bold and italic. The reader doesn't see the command, just the resulting bolded or italicized text. In fact, I'm surprised you were able to show the thingys in your explanation. Normally, they don't show up either (as was the case when they removed "days later").
I think perhaps I should mention that although Silvana will not be shown tonight, apparently La Doña and El Chema will go on as usual.

LA DOÑA: Thank you so much deb for keeping us up to date on all the action. I'm a hit-or-miss watcher these days as end of year work keeps exploding land mines all over my calendar. Things should quiet down fairly soon. I am continually amazed by Aracely Arambula. She depicts such strong characters, with all kinds of natural attributes, intelligence and survival skills. More powerful than any of the male characters surrounding her. It's hard for a galán to keep up with her. In this story, almost every evil deed she does is "rationalized" by flashbacks to the terrible crimes committed against her and her loved ones. I agree that they've painted her into an evil corner with the death of her construction foreman (whose name I forget), and wonder whether she'll be given a chance at redemption. (Remember, I'm one of those who has never seen or read any previous versions of this classic story). Your recaps are a treasure, because I'm finding the Spanish rough going this time around. I'm hoping I can get up to speed and eventually help out a little.
I'm willing to cut Yesenia some slack. i don't see her intentions as meddling or evil. Regina says goodbye to Felipe, she knows he's a good man.
Braulio who has driven somewhere quiet with Yesenia wants to know why she has come to see AG, you know me, for money, (I think she is hiding telling of Monica) he wants to know what she is blackmailing her for, and she keeps insulting him, (that he betrayed his old boss, Lazaro and is now a do-boy for AG) he slugs her, ouch, she sprays something in his eyes, and slugs him and runs, but he catches her, and what a beat down, this is the last time you come near AG, he says, next time I'll kill you, he drives away leaving her lying on the sidewalk.
Saul and AG are spending the day at the ranch, alone, she feels so alive, so let's live Saul says.
Diego is visiting Isabel, Emiliano shows up, Isa wants to party, when she leaves Emiliano asks Diego if he likes her, she is not my girlfriend is the reply, Diego is his friend he won't step in, maybe he'll help him, girls like bad boys is his advice.
Monica asks why it's so calm at work, a worker says that AG won't be coming in today, didn't say where she would be.
Saul and AG are taking a break from their lovemaking, he goes to the bathroom, she steers him away from one of the doors (is this where she killed Miguel), he gets suspicious, and when he returns she is dressed, Saul is surprised, she claims it's cleaning day, maids will return, she says she is still married they have to be discreet.
as they are leaving Saul checks his messages, and sees the detective is looking for him, asks again about AG being in Veracruz after talking to Margarita, did you see Miguel, she lies, they squabble, and things are back to before.
Saul tells AG he will let her go back to being La Dona but only till next time, then he will take back the reins.
Valeria is having Lopez adjust a framed diploma on the wall, right, right left, right, is she checking out his butt, Lopez brings up their being together, when Braulio crashes into the room with some documents, Val wants Lopez's help with this but Braulio kicks him out, and he looks like he is ready to slug Valeria, you promised you wouldn't do that anymore she says.
Yesenia makes it home, battered, says she was mugged, later sits alone in the dark watching Felipe's press conference, she hates AG, she didn't bring her into the world, but she made her what she is.
the press are hassling Felipe over his divorce, why would they care, this must be AG's doing, he calls a press conference.
Margarita talks with Monica and Lidya, she wants a job, sure, welcome to the "La Bendito Sandwich company" ??, and also tells of the detective looking for Saul, apparently he checked out of the hospital but didn't tell anyone where he went, Monica makes the connection that AG is also missing.
AG has her sitdown chat with Regina, Saul awoke so much inside me, we made love for real, she has butterflies inside her, she is in love (for the moment anyway)
and what about a new life for AG, she has plenty of money, she could delegate her work to others, nope, what AG really wants is power.
Laz is expecting Yesenia to show but it's Saul, Monica gives him the cold shoulder.

Rafael prompts Leticia who is at the press conference to shut down Felipe, but he has been drinking and is determined, he tells of of the perfect wife, he was taken by her beauty, but as time went on he became blind, she used me, she lied to me, she betrayed me... did she betray you with another man was asked,
AG is fuming, Regina is trying to calm her, AG spits out if he talks, he knows I have those videos of him shooting Saul...
nope, she had me sign some documents for her company, Felipe says, (Leticia is throwing in questions like were you drunk, didn't you read them, etc) my mistake was trusting her, but it is being investigated.
Jaime recognizes Leticia for her reporting on the tenement, she must be AG's accomplice.
and the kids Isabel, Emiliano driving, and Diego in the back seat, are drinking and going fast, Isa is edging Emi on, faster, Diego is freaking.
after watching the press conference, Saul leaves, Lidya asks why Monica doesn't follow him, she loves him but will not beg, Saul's dad in passing reminds him that woman had us fooled, not now Saul says, he calls AG who dismisses Reginal, she asks if he still doubts her.
Laz tells Monica the story of Icarus, his father made wings for himself and his son but warned him not to fly too high, but he was dazzled by the sun, just like you are with AG, and the wax on his wings melted and he fell into the sea and died.

Not sure if I agree with Regina that Felipe is a good man, but I was cheering him on as he revealed to the press that AG duped him into signing those papers. If Saul believes her flimsy excuse, then he's letting his hormones cloud his judgement.
Monica has no right to be snippy with AG (last episode) or Saul. Saul was never her man, their romance was in her head, and if Saul and AG are together, it's their business, not hers. The only people who have any right to comment are her husband (shooting Saul was more than enough), and his parents who are locked in a legal battle with AG.

That horrifying car ride had me expecting a crash, and I tried to figure out who would survive. Apparently there was no crash this time, but I believe in Chekhov's maxim that if we see a gun on the wall in Act I, it has to go off by the end. So I suspect there will be yet another insane ride, and this time there will be consequences. I suspect one of the participants will be killed or horribly injured, but I'm not sure who. Nor, I suppose, do I really care. My guess is Emiliano, since he's the most dispensable and obnoxious. I feel sorry for Diego (and since he was not in favor of the insane ride, he may be the ironic victim next time). As for Isabela...I suppose her role will be Repentence and Reform. Yawn.
I can't decide whether I'm supposed to be annoyed with both Saúl and Mónica at this point in the telenovela. Perhaps. But whether or not I'm supposed to be, I am. I agree with Vivi: Mónica has no right to be snippy with AG or Saúl. And she runs off at the mouth a bit too much for me. As for Saúl, he seemed quite sympathetic at the start, but now he seems to be experiencing puberty all over again. Feh.
