Vino el Amor #60, January 24, 2017: Vino El Tears, Fears, Jeers, Sneers and More Tears

As predicted, this was quite the episode! Nice to see some drama that is actual drama on this show. We had a big revelation, punches were thrown and there were more tears than even Victoria Ruffo can handle. Our other villains provided some fears, some jeers and some sneers, when not partying or plotting! Oh and David and Cesar had one of their Girl Talk sessions and David did the mannequin challenge.

  • We get right to the "No puede ser!" as Luciana arrives with Marta to pick up her work visa, but freaks out to finally see Gutierrez, the man who deported her, is her mom's boyfriend who got it for her! She immediately recognizes him and he knows it. Luciana is furious (and for once she has a good reason). Marta is super confused, so Luciana lets her know what's going on - that Gutierrez is the man who split up their family and deported Marcos and Luciana. Marta's reaction is a mixture of hurt, mad and confused.
  • Cesar explains to David that Susan needs help with the Mark situation. Cesar would love to turn Mark into the police but Susan asked him not to. More importantly, Cesar and David patch up their quarrel and basically Cesar says that Gracie wasn't worth losing their friendship over. He's more worried about Susan's situation. David thinks they should talk to Susan.
  • Luciana tears Gutierrez a new one, calling him a "maldito abusivo." She reminds him that he didn't give Marcos and Luciana any chances to explain things. Marta lets the "No puede ser" fly. Gutierrez is bawling and begging to explain himself. Luciana continues letting him have it. Marta finally freaks out and slugs him. Gutierrez confesses that he did deport Marcos and Luciana and begs more forgiveness. Marta tells him not to touch her. Everyone is crying and upset.
  • Susan joins Cesar and David. They basically tell her they will help with the Mark situation and assure her she's not alone. FF>>
  • Lilian is at the police station outside Gut's office, listening to all the drama with a little smirk on her face. Gutierrez keeps telling Marta he wanted to explain and planned to confess all tonight. He wishes he could go back in time and change everything. Marta smacks him.
  • Marta yells at Gutierrez about all he did to her family. She never got to be with Marcos after he was deported, and he died without her. Marta is so upset she smacks Gutierrez again! Then he tells her it was nothing personal, just part of the job. He's deported thousands! Marta asks how he could have done this. As my notes put it, Lil smirks, Gut cries, Luciana quivers in anger. Poor Marta!
  • Leon visits Sonia in the kitchen but she tells him that Lilian doesn't want the employees there and it's better if they are just friends. She tells him to forget her and runs off crying.
  • Gutierrez keeps digging his hole by saying he didn't realize he had deported Luciana back in the day until he started the paperwork for her work visa. Luciana doesn't believe him. He says he thought he could redeem himself by helping her. Marta says that he should have told her the truth when she first asked him. Marta tells Gutierrez that she's so sad and upset and doesn't know what to say. He says again, "Forgive me." "Callese!" Shut up! says Luciana. Marta refuses to forgive him and they once again yell at him for destroying the family. Luciana tells him to never deal with them again. Luciana and Marta leave (notably, without the work visa that Gutierrez got for Luciana).
  • More of the same conversation with Cesar, David and Susan. Susan's grand master plan is to avoid grungy Mark by working late in the lab and picking up her things later. Cesar will go with her to do that.
  • Lilian knocks on Gutierrez's door and gets in a jeer at him. He ignores her and rushes out.
  • Girl Talk (no Wine) with David and Cesar, mostly about how Gracie is good looking.
  • Juan tells grungy Mark there's no more room in the room for the migrants. Mark doesn't want to pay more money for more room and he doesn't want to pay the Coyote. Juan thinks it would be a good idea to get rid of him.
We know the feeling, Mark

  • Mark likes the idea. Juan thinks they can call the cops anonymously on El Coyote. Because that should work out. Mark agrees. (I thought he was being sarcastic but he really does.)
  • More Girl Talk with David and Cesar about David's feelings for Luciana and Gracie. FF>>
  • I thought Mark and Juan were on the same page but maybe not. Mark doesn't know why Juan is so worried about El Coyote. Juan says the man is dangerous and also endangers their business. Mark doesn't care; he's not afraid. Juan cares and says he's out. (Of the business? The partnership? Calling the cops on El Coyote? It's unclear to me anyway.)
  • Miguel and Tano box up wine bottles (I got a phone call during this scene and Univision doesn't have it up yet, so please fill in if the boys said anything of interest).
  • Marta and Luciana walk through the town, crying. Luciana tells Marta that this man has made her suffer enough. They rehash it all. Marta feels guilty for dating Gut. Luciana tells her she doesn't need to. Marta is sure Lilian is somehow aware of what's going on.
  • Miguel brings the boxes to the cellar and talks to Ingrid. He encourages her again to turn herself in. Ingrid wants to get help finding work. She's not sure she should've come to the USA. Miguel says they will help her.
  • Marta is still bawling in the streets of Sonoma. She says she is ashamed and guilty about feeling love for Gutierrez. Now she wants to kill him and make him pay for what he did. She feels she failed Marcos' memory. Luciana tells her she was a victim. Marta just wants to be alone.
  • Gracie spots David standing like a statue outside. (Literally, he was doing this.)
  • Gracie interrupts David's mannequin challenge and asks if things are better between them. She pretends she is sad to have caused problems with their kiss. It almost works until David turns down her offer to go do something because he is waiting on Luciana to return with her work visa. Gracie makes a very mad face about this.
  • Fer and her friends stroll through town as she tells them about kissing Tano. Her friends want to meet him.
  • Erika visits Miguel to tell him about her chitchat with Luciana and to be direct. She likes him. What does he think about that? He seems to be OK with it. Heh. She gives him a peck on the cheek and leaves. He might not wash that cheek again. Get it Erika!
  • Susan and Tano start up again with their usual conversation. She does tell him that Cesar will help move her stuff with her. FF>>
  • Carito and Perla worry about the excessive number of migrants in their room. Perla rationalizes that their situation is better than jail. Carito tells her she's her friend, but she's out of this situation. Good call Carito.
  • Tano is sad he can't help Susan with anything. FF>>
  • Gracie discusses paintings with Joselo. She doesn't like what he says about themes. Feels they're too repetitive. She's annoyed when she hangs up, but then sees a happy Lilian. Lilian fills in Gracie about Marta/Gutierrez and the two villainesses laugh happily.
  • Miguel and Leon are making themselves some food when Luciana and Marta arrive back at employee's quarters. Marta smashes all dishes on the counter.
  • Luciana tells Miguel and Leon about Gutierrez. Leon is shocked and upset.
  • Meanwhile, Lilian tells Gracie about it. Lilian is thrilled that Gut lost both Marta and his campaign donors. They decide to have champagne and party!
  • Leon goes off upon learning the extent of Gutierrez's deeds. He wants to KILL Gutierrez. Miguel literally must hold him back and from this point on, we get a nice gun show as Leon has to be restrained. Everyone is emotional. Miguel cleans up the smashed dishes and Luciana and Leon console Marta.
  • Meanwhile, it's time to PARTAY for Lilian and Gracie! The two ladies sneer and jeer and gloat and sip lots of champagne as Lilian proclaims that vengeance is a dish best served cold. Lilian doesn't think Marta will ever forgive Gutierrez.
  • Gutierrez comes by the employee quarters for another round of begging for forgiveness. Leon charges at him, but Miguel restrains him again. Gutierrez literally sinks to his knees and pleads with Marta to forgive him. Marta tells him he broke her heart. Leon tries to break free and kill the guy. Miguel restrains him. Marta tells Leon, Miguel and Luciana to leave.
  • Gutierrez resumes begging. Marta tells him that she loved and trusted him. He says that he changed for the better because of Marta. Now he likes Mexicans because she changed his point of view. Marta tells him she hates him and has some dignity. She never wants to see him again and she orders him to leave. They are both sobbing.
  • Back at the party, Gracie encourages Lilian to think of her next steps. Oh but Lilian did. The campaign money trail for Gutierrez is all dried up. They toast some more!
  • Gutierrez keeps begging, and Marta keeps telling him to get out. Suddenly Leon busts back in and punches Gut.
  • Leon is almost as sad as Marta about Gutierrez turning out to be a bad guy! He tells him that he never wants to see him again. Miguel is restraining Leon this whole time, and encourages Gutierrez to leave as it's for the best. (His arm muscles had to be burning by then.) Gutierrez gives up (for now) and leaves, and Marta and her children huddle together in sorrow and anger.

Great recap, dy. FWIW, the only point of the Miguel/Tano scene was that Tano wanted to lug the boxes into the wine cellar and Miguel went "No, man, I got this" and checked on Ingrid.

As much as this episode was Cynthia Klitbo Beats Down All Suckers--and between her and Mar Contreras, I think Victoria Ruffo's legacy of tears is secure--I'm actually going to give some credit to Juan Vidal (Gutierrez). He went all in on Guti's angst, from ugly crying to sobbing and back again. That said, as far as this ep went, he's still a somewhat distant fourth behind Sonia's super-melodramatic-50s-romcom/novela dismissal of Leon, Lilian's utterly gleeful "I'm so happyyyy!" mini-happydance, and all things Marta.

On the darker side: I can't help thinking that Susan's plan to avoid Mark is almost required to blow up in her face, especially now that Mark and Juan are on the outs.

Great work, dy77. I envy you this episode.

We all knew this had to happen and it played out exactly as I pictured it. Marta is devastated and her children reacted in character. Kudos to all four actors, especially to Juan Vidal who cried for real; his eyes were very red when he arrived at the employees' quarters.

What I didn't foresee was Miguel being the voice of reason, but that is a good thing.

What I hope happens tonight is Miguel going to see Brian to give him a piece of his mind and to find out that Lillian was behind the deportation. Not to mention getting Luciana's visa because her not having it in hand puts her in danger from another deportation from yet another immigration officer whom Lillian will ensnare in her web. It would be best if David also went along although I doubt Miguel would ask him to. However, David might get there first if Luciana tells him about what happened.

As to the current illegals, calling the police on El Coyote will likely backfire because El Coyote is only going to rat Mark and Juan out as his clients. That Perla and Carito are involved will backfire on David who could end up facing seizure of his property and assets, at least temporarily.

More later.

Thanks UA and Bill. I agree with all of your points. I thought Juan Vidal killed it this episode and he gets the Victoria Ruffo-esque crying award! Cynthia Klitbo also killed it as did the guy playing Leon. I don't think the girl who plays Luciana is in their league acting-wise, but she did up her game considerably and it helped that for once Luciana's yelling and anger was quite justified.

Heh, Bill, I too enjoyed Lilian's gloating happy smile, and I almost worked in that she evilly laughed.

I have to nominate Erika being clear and going for it with Miguel for my favorite non-top-plot thing in this episode.

Thanks dy

"Get it Erika!"

No contest between Erika and Luciana, not even close. I'm not really a Miguel fan but wish him well should he choose the adult for a partner.

Guess Marta forgot she was free to visit Marcos and Luciana and didn't, preferring to stay with Fernanda and Bobby. She also forgot it was her plan to get the attention of Brian to mess with Lilian and crushed on him pretty quick. Sure, sure, Brian omitted his role in the deportation but he also didn't disclose who tipped him off and that should be considered.

Tano is Susan's very expensive boytoy. She paid a house and everything in it, how much will it cost David and Cesar?

When Marta calms down it will probably occur to her that Lillian was behind the deportation. I doubt that this will happen but if I were there I'd advise her to pretend none of this bothers her.

My current question is how long will it be before David knows about this?

dy, thank you for softening the blow of last night's very unsettling events with great lines including "David did the mannequin challenge" and "Gracie spots David standing like a statue outside. (Literally, he was doing this)".

A fantastic recap and the screen shot of Erica kissing Miguel was very sweet. I have to say I like Miguel so much more when he is with Erica. He's not crazily possessive or possessed. He is calm and sweet.

I agree with everyone that the acting was great last night. My take on Luci differs a bit though. I feel she was very upset but her reaction was in keeping with her character and while she showed her pain and grief, she purposely held back a bit. The (understandable) rage was Marta/Cynthia's and she owned every second of it. Leon was pitch perfect. In the midst of the rage and ranting, I did notice Miguel actually picked Leon up and carried him the length of the kitchen counter as though he were a feather. It made me smile for a moment.

I did not understand why on earth Brian came back for more after he was rejected with rage. Did he think Marta would cool off after a few mere minutes? While I don't think this relationship is salvageable, it may start Brian on a different path where he will really try and help the immigrant plight.

Lili was simply sickening and Graciela's attempt at a conspiratorial smile showed what a vacant, pretty vessel she is.

I am glad Caesar brought Susan and David together to talk.

So Mark thinks he can outfox the Coyote? Good luck with that.

dy, thank you, thank you!

Diana

OK. I move my family to Switzerland, which, I might add is almost not possible, given their restrictions on imports.

Of course my fake documents come unraveled, and they manage to catch my son and wife and send them back to Kentucky, or Arizona, or wherever we all escaped, right?

Through NO EFFORT on any of our parts, my family stays separated for years. Yeah those mean old Swiss, no wonder their cheese is full of holes. They destroyed my family and I want to KILL the one responsible.

Please. Did I miss something?

Also, Thanks Urban I enjoyed the recap. The show...um needs work.

Thanks dy77!

At first, I thought I was sorry I had missed the big confrontation between Luciana and Gutierrez. But to tell the truth, I'm relieved that I didn't see it, because the sight of Lil smirking would have spoiled everything. I can't wait for Lil to get hers but good.

And yes I am confused as to why Marta never visited Luci and Marcos in Mexico. We know why, specifically, she didn't go to Luci's graduation, but that doesn't explain the previous 10 to 12 years before that. In fact, it's surprising that David (or Lisa, for that matter) didn't insist on paying for at least one visit in between, being such supposedly nice people.

Well done, Dy77, thanks. I will probably watch the episode just to see the Marta/Alicia a/Gutierrez scenes. However, unlike your recap, looks like the rest of the show was pretty mundane.
Helen

I still suspect that Luci and Papa stayed in Mx and Marta and Lion Cub stayed in the US for so long because Marta was having too much fun with Lillian's husband. Of course it is more fun to think everyone is evil.

Lillian is truly Evil, but it seems the only one she really and truly hates with a purple passion is Marta, and it certainly would not be because of her looks. Where there is smoke there is fire. I mean Lillian does not even like her own daughter, or anybody for that matter. But dislike and indifference is a long way from murderous hate.

Marta did visit Marcos and Luciana during their 10 year absence. It was mentioned somewhere in the first episodes that they were seeing each other from time to time.

Lisa thanks.

And thanks DY for your succinct funny recap.

Thanks, dy77! Excellent recap! I finally watched an episode, and this one was a good one to see. Marta really went off on Gutierrez. I don't understand why he didn't come all the way clean and throw Lili under the bus as being the mastermind.

When Luci threw the work visa on the floor, and they left without it, I was like WTH?! Those just don't grow on trees. Slap the man around all you want, but take the damn visa!

I've not paid a whole lot of attention to this tn, but I distinctly remember in the conversations between Luci, Marcos, Marta, etc, that Leon and Marta DID visit Luci and Marcos in Mexico over the years. In fact, Miguel did too. Luci and Miguel even had a picture of themselves together as adults from one of those visits. The big issue came up when Marta and everyone missed going to her college graduation because Lisa died. And in the 2 YEARS since Lisa's death and David's depression, Marta, Leon and Miguel have felt incapable of leaving the vineyard, David and the kids, which Luciana really resented. And then of course, Marcos died, which added to her resentment, but luckily her visa had finally come through.

That would make sense, Lisa, but that's not what Marta has said multiple times - she's claimed that she never saw Marcos again after he was deported. She said it last night (according to the recap) and also told Gut the night they went to bed together. Is she lying? Did I misunderstand? Because it really doesn't make any sense that she wouldn't have visited, yet that's what she seems to have been saying.

Thanks, Vivi. Okay, so they've all visited - which makes Marta's claim that she never saw him again very strange!

This wasn't my recap, Kirby, but I agree that this show needs work.

At this stage I would say that the only way Brian could possibly redeem himself in Marta's eyes would be to save her life or that of either of her children. Nothing so far in this story is getting us near anything like that but if it's been extended to 140 episodes there is still a lot of room with about 80 left.

No puede ser. But at least this isn't remotely as bad as CI. I can't believe that was an extended hit that was nominated for multiple awards.

Julie- Maybe these writers (and they don't seem very good), decided to change the narrative around to make things more dramatic, and hoped no one would notice? They also haven't really made sense of the timeline for when the affair between Marta and Lil's husband supposedly took place, right?

I got the sense that Marta's affair with Fernando, Lilian's husband, occurred at some point before Luciana was born...but, AFAIK, the show's indeed never stuck an actual time period on it. Since Lilian's always hated Marta and Fernando was already long dead when the show began, at the very least it has to predate that. (Conspiracy theory: if it predates Graciela being born, then it predates it at the latest by...say...about nine months.)

Oooh Bill, interesting theory! Hmmmm.

I sense redemption for Brian. I sense that he'll be key in ridding the world/us of some combo of Mark/Juan/Perla/Coyote. That said, I completely understand it if he does that and Luciana and Marta still don't forgive him! He was awful to Luciana and Marcos and their family was definitely split up due to his actions.

Thanks again, all!

Bill- But both Leon and Luci were born in Mexico (hence the legal troubles), and didn't just the other day Leon speak of coming to the US as a little boy with his family? Leon is younger than Luci (a little boy when this show started). In what universe/country/time-warp did Marta know Lil's husband?

As far as Gutierrez is concerned, with that slick black hair, I'd betcha he is closely related to Eladio in Pasion and Power. Remember how Susanna G turned him around?

SHUT UP Kirb. it is blastphemy to compare Marta to my Queen Susanna Gonzales.

I'm still trying to figure that one out.

Lillian's husband was Mexican and maybe Marta met him there before coming to the US. Leon spoke of walking over the border as a little boy and I'm guessing he was about 7 or 8 in the early episodes. Could they have been there about two years before the opening episode? That would be enough time for David to recognize Marcos' expertise with grapes.

Bill, Graciela is at least ten years older than Luciana, who was ten in the early episodes. I think Marta is meant to be slightly younger than Lillian. Was this alleged affair before Marta was married? I don't think anything that's been said so far accused her of having cheated on her husband, whom I believed she loved. The only circumstance I can think of that would make her do that would be a long separation or a disagreement so bad she considered leaving Marcos.

Since the "unknown relative right under someone's nose" is a commonplace thing in novelas, you'd think they'd plan it more carefully. We've already gotten the "you're not our family" nonsense from the Mother and Daughter Succubi enough times to wonder whether Luciana isn't their half-sister. Marta could have had the affair with Fernando, gotten pregnant with Luciana, met Marcos, and he was there to pick up the pieces after Fernando walked out on Marta. Luciana could have been Fernando's child and Marcos never knew it. Maybe Marta doesn't know either, but that seems unlikely.

Thanks, dy. Fabulous title and recap with pics. I too loved Gracie spots David standing like a statue outside. (Literally, he was doing this.) Gracie interrupts David's mannequin challenge -- LOL!

Miguel carries Leon across the room and sweeps up the dishes Marta crashed. Damn, what a man! And between Erika and Miguel, the hottest cheek kiss I've seen. Always faithful to Luciana, he didn't flirt back with her but he did glow with surprise/embarrassment. A good night for Team Miguel.

My guess is Brian followed Marta back to her home because he feels he deserved to be humiliated in front of everybody.

Kirby, I agree it's strange the deportation and family separation all those years is laid solely at Brian's feet. Marta's husband not only worked for David for many years, he was his right-hand grape man, but the vineyard couldn't get him papers for 10 years. Originally, I thought this was going to be a story about Luciana seeking vengeance on David.

Now that you mention it, UA: didn't Luciana ask Marta a while back if Marcos was the one true love of her life, and Marta conveniently got an entire scene change to say yes? Combined with Marta declaring that Luci should never believe anything Lilian ever says about her, and that one argument way back between Lilian and Marta where (IIRC) Marta said that Fernando did love her, there are at least breadcrumbs in place that could lead to the ever-popular Paternity Carpet Pull. And it feeds the ongoing narrative, too--Fernando leaves Lilian for Marta, Lilian flips out and somehow whacks Fernando, and a pregnant Marta then hooks up with Good Guy Marcos who steps up as Luci's dad. (He's already dead and Marta keeping this lie of omission from Luci is bad enough, so I'll be a bit surprised if it came out that he didn't know Luci wasn't his biological daughter...but it's Televisa, so I won't rule it out in the name of dogpiling karma.)

dy77--Excruciatingly delicious to read, savor and re-read. Deserved punches trump champagne. Thank you.

Where to start--Oh, with Luciana telling Marta not to speak English to Gut during their confrontation--he understands what they are saying. Good one.

Tano now keeps pushing his hair out of his eyes. I think he realizes he looks more mature and even more good looking without the mop over his eyes.

He and Miguel were packing the boxes with empty bottles--or at least bottles with no labels.

Loved Joselo hanging up on Gracie.

I didn't know a tough-guy cop could cry that much on demand.

Loved the kiss Erika gave Miguel. That had more sentiment attached that all the lip-grabbing Miguel and Luciana get into.

Poor Sonia--she's living her latest telenovela--she rejects her galan in order to be miserable. She's happier living in a fantasy world.

OK, now to read all the comments--whew! Sorry if I've repeated other's observations.

Bill and Urban- "Fernando leaves Lilian for Marta, Lilian flips out and somehow whacks Fernando, and a pregnant Marta then hooks up with Good Guy Marcos who steps up as Luci's dad."

And then what? Marta returns to MEXICO, pregnant with Luci, meet Marcos, marries him, has Luci, then Leon, and then crosses the border illegally with her husband and kids 5-8 years later, somehow ends up working with (now dead) Fernando's daughter and her husband on her husband's vineyard as their nanny, and her husband as their foreman...

This is even too complicated for a tn. It just doesn't make sense and it never will, because the writers never thought it through.

Bill, I've been leaning towards your narrative on Marta, Fernando, Lilian and Marcos. He was the nice guy that always loved her and married her though pregnant. Not much passion there and why she visited only a few times in 12 years. It was easier for Luciana to have Marcos cremated, get a tourist visa and take a two day bus than to get Marta to answer a phone. She sure didn't mourn long before hopping in with Brian either.

Thank you, dy77. I was so excited to see the recap and comments when I got home today.

Dave seems to be doing the mannequin challenge a lot.

Here's my theory on Gut...since Lilian was absolutely orgasmic with delight over that breakup scene , we cannot have the villian vitch winning , so Marta will somehow, someway eventually forgive Gut and burst Lilian's balloon. I was so hoping that Marta and Luci were going to knock Lilian over when then barreled out of that office.

Niecie...yes , a good night for Miguel who looks like the real galan of this show. He reported the pesticide thing to the police, tried to help Ingrid, saved the grapes, and rushed to Erica to aid with the dead worker. He calmed everyone down last night , and even went as far as lifting Leon up and carrying him away from Gut. Ha. Erika is pressing forward. ..no shy flower there. That was quite a sexy outfit and that cheek kiss promised more where that came from, buddy. Miguel appears to be one of those guys (God bless them)who doesn't realize how attractive he is.

In the scene between Dumb and Dumber about Coyote , I tried to decide which one was a worse actor..it's a tie. However, I give bonus points to Juan because he is so cute and speaks better English. It seems that everyone's English is improving to me, and I bear a lot of accents.

Diana..."outfox el coyote"..good one

On David not acting like a galan-- I thought that when instead of him insisting on accompanying Susan to pack her things, he stood aside and let Cesar do it alone. So the muscle-bound galan is going to let his much smaller-framed buddy, who already got beat by Mark the Maniac, go alone to help HIS employee leave and possibly confront said maniac? Aren't galans usually a little more proactive about doing stuff like this? So far Dave has let Lilian boss his household staff around, let Juan screw over his workers and vineyard, and let Miguel take his lady-love, all while seeming to sleepwalk through his own life.

Vivi..bingo. That is a pretty accurate synopsis of Dimdave's modus operandi.

They say positive people say the glass is half full while negative people say the glass as half empty. Dave says "Where's the glass?"

I think these writers got a little confused about the traits a galan usually possesses.

OT...Vivi..Many people on the sites discussing Outlander complain whenever the TV show writers give galan Jamie's Lines or actions from the books to Claire or other characters.

Yeah, David is not the galan here and the character really doesn't need air time, a name drop occasionally or mention of what he was doing would suffice. Miguel clearly is the galan proved when Erika was introduced and Luciana started turbo stomping. Heck, more time is spent on Tano's love life than David's. David doesn't even have any money, he's being propped up by Joselo's money which may be cut off shortly. Oh, David asked Miguel to take care of Luciana, what galan does that?

Tofie...odd, isn't it, because Gabe is the biggest star in this show, and the biggest male star is usually the taken.

Dy77,I love the way you tell the tale. For example, ". no room in the room." I also enjoyed you encouraging Erika to "get it."

Oh Girls, Now Now, You just can't think around Beefcake can you?
Dim Bulb is the galan based solely on the aforementioned shaved upper body muscles, and body fat percentage.

By the same token Luci's aerosol jeans which she supposedly works in, but rather can hardly walk in buy her many plot luxuries also.

When my TN fantasy threesome comes up I'm with Erika and Sonia.

Sue your laptop is sabotaging you.

Vest sighting..This episode it was Luci's turn to don everyone's favorite piece of apparel. Again, those tight vests and shirts are all fun and games until someone loses an eye due to a jet propelled button. #watchout

Kirby ..yes...I hate technology, but I do love my tablet and feel betrayed when it autocorrects me.

This was a call from casting GS shouldn't have returned or he could agree to use his likeness on a cardboard cutout whenever Graciela needs to rub an arm, Sonia needs a sniff, Luciana needs to get close and stomp away or Miguel needs to stare and snort, jealous of the 2D patron.

Now there's a hilarious mental image, tofie. And kinda sad at the same time thanks to this fakakta show (and, yup, here comes the El Talisman flashbacks again).

" jealous of the 2D patron" .About right for Miggy, like a dog I once had, jealous of a stuffed animal.

Amazing how all that Weeping and Whacking woke up the comments today.
Steve, it is really going to come alive when the killing starts, right?

Hmmm, truth told when I first started dating Mr tofie at university I was jealous of his motorcycle. He spent more time with it, and money on it, than me.

Bill--Ah those days with El Tal and the Tal*Mart, the Fresno Yacht Club, Renato, Elvira and the gang. We Talismaniacs really lived it up. This one is a dud in comparison. Nothing to laugh at.

Amen, Anita. It's more the sort of general gonzo level of various things (the eternal holding pattern of David and Luciana, Mark period, all things So Obviously Gringo, and--God bless her--Sonia) that makes me think of ol' El Tal, but you're absolutely right in that this show isn't nearly as much of a trainwreck/laugh riot. Again, minus Sonia and the So Obviously Gringo team (and on rare occasion Lilian).

Dy77,girl this was a good rather funny recap. I have never seen a man beg to
Be forgiven like this, ever and he was so.....convincingly real. But then he said "it was my job?" Ok, but did he have to enjoy his job so much?
He put his bigass booted foot on that mans head, and he was enjoying it
Waaay to much. Then he tells her "It was nothing personal". He was acting as if these people did something to him, he just really hated them because they were Latinos and they were trying to have a better life in a country that he didn't think they belong. Does
He know all of his family history? Ok.

I hope he wins the election, cuz he's got all this pain and anger inside, &
Now he'd be able to go after juan,Mark
Lillian, graciboo and all the other crooks. But there's going to be some blood shed, hope it's not his. Looks
Like tonite will be another good nite
For the wine country because of the advance they showed, but I'm not a spoilsport.
I like to here him say "marrrrrtha"for
Give me, lol. And then he came and fell on his knees. Marrrrtha. Lol.

Miguel didn't look to upset about the
Challenge, I think he enjoyed it. And
He didn't move away from the peck on the cheek.
I'm lookin forward to Lillian Fallin in a whole of her own making. And takin graciboo with her. Im Lookin forward to tonite.

Thanks dy77. You rock girl.

You made a wise choice Tofie.

That's a nice statue pose Davy took. And I love the way he dist-grazie.
And another thing, Lucy need to take the work visa, cuz it's all done, that will be out of the way. If she don't want to Say thank you don't. But don't be stupid either. you need the work visa girl so go and get it. Or send David for it. Everybody went to a lot of trouble to get the work visa.
she need to go ahead and get it before she get her little butt kicked out of the country again. Be mad, but don't be stupid.

Dy77: The look on Gutierrez's face said it all as Luciana & Marta ripped him to shreds.

Kirby: Lillian & Graciela celebrating their destruction of Marta's family & likely the end of Gutierrez's promising political career.

Nina: I'm pulling for Erika to be with Miguel since it's almost a certainty at this point.

Don't forget about Karma likely hitting Perla, Carito & FerBrat too since the Mean Girls Club will get hit by Karma at some point.

Thank you DY77, I couldn't have done a better job myself. Enjoyed all the picture screen shots too very much.

I loved the look on Gutierrez's face when he finally had to face Luciana, that look was PRICELESS! I just knew it would happen something like this and that he would be caught with nothing really to say and no excuses. It all caught up with him. I wonder now if he will lose his election for Sheriff?

Great comments everyone, thank you!

The follow-up tonight should be fun!
