Vino el Amor #65, Tuesday, January 31: Vino el Tiffs, Tantrums and Threats

Lovers quarrel, a room is raided, a body is found, lovers vent to their friends, various villains and non-villains experience various levels of guilt, non-lovers quarrel, a room is trashed, threats are made, a room is trashed some more, lovers quarrel again, and yet - the world still apparently revolves around Bobby, unless you are an evil human trafficker or Gracie, in whose case it revolves around David, whose world revolves around Luciana even though he claims it revolves around Bobby. Busy episode!
  • Luciana and Miguel continue their quarrel from Monday about Erika and David and the fact that Miguel is more serious about Luciana than Luciana is about him.
  • Gutierrez and his officers find that the room where the migrants were kept has been emptied. He sends his men to go look for them as they couldn't have gone far.
  • The ending of Monday resumes, as Gutierrez goes back into the holding room and notices... something. Gutierrez calls for backup and two officers return. They pull out a blanket and yell "It's a guy." Yes it is a guy, but not just any guy, it's El Coyote, shot dead and wrapped up in a blanket. Gutierrez curses that they found him dead.
  • Miguel calls out Luciana on not being able to return his "Te amos."  She was bugged by her day and hearing Erika is into Miguel. Miguel leaves upset.
  • Perla peppers Juan with a million questions about what happened. He doesn't really give her clear answers beyond telling her they moved the immigrants. When she asks about El Coyote, he only tells her they really don't have to worry about him anymore. She makes a suspicious face about that.
  • Anxious Susan is having dinner out with Cesar and relates how anxious Mark and his phone calls are making her. She's worried he will violate the restraining order. Cesar gives her some advice to calm down and talk to David. She's also worried about hurting Tano. It's all adding up to one stressed out lady.
There's not enough red wine in the world, Cesar.
  • At employees' quarters, Tano is picking at his dinner. When asked, he says he's too upset to eat and leaves. Ramon tells Leon and Miguel not to go after him. So Leon goes after his uneaten dinner.
  • Susan tells Cesar about the breakup with Tano and how he's a good guy. She's feeling bad she hurt him. Cesar listens nicely and in the end tells her to chill.
  • After dinner, Leon and Ramon watch a news account of the raid at the migrant holding place, while Carito guiltily eavesdrops. Miguel joins them. Apparently two men and a muchacha are involved. There is a statement by Ingrid, and she talks about how it was bad with El Coyote and good men helped her. Gutierrez too. She says she came forward because she never wants this to happen to her countrymen again.
  • Leon and Miguel are pleased that she did this and Ramon notices that they seem to know her. They fill him in on helping Ingrid. Meanwhile, Carito is shaking, trembling and clearly upset.
  • In her bedroom, Gracie is painting when David knocks on the door. She sheds her painter clothing to reveal her black tank top and tells him to enter. He wanted to talk to her about things. He can't be with her because he can't stop thinking of Luciana. Cue the dramatic music and Gracie shaking with a mix of sadness and anger while David goes on about how great Luciana has been great for his mindset. Gracie asks if he thinks he will have a relationship with Luciana.
  • Miguel and Leon fess up about Ingrid to Ramon. Carito is half listening, half trying to get away and drops her coffee cup when Leon says he doesn't understand humans who traffic in other humans. Leon explains he was just sympathizing. Carito excuses herself to rest. Ramon looks at her suspiciously.
  • David continues on, now giving Gracie the I am my kid's dad first speech. She's crying and pretending to understand.
  • Carito leaves a voice mail for Perla, telling her there's a serious situation.
  • David can see Gracie is upset, and she plays on his sympathies. He doesn't want her to cry. She only wants him to be happy. He says that's why they need to put some distance between them. She is not happy to say the least.
  • The two men (Mark and Juan) talk about how they don't think there will be any tracing them to El Coyote's death. The investigation will keep Gutierrez busy and now they just need to remain calm and lie low. Perla the muchacha arrives with some food for all. Juan is happy and goes into another room for plates. Grungy Mark gets icky and ickily hits on Perla, who tells him it's not right as she's with Juan. She gets this line in return:
  • Followed by a vague threat on Juan - who would Perla turn to if he were gone? Who would keep her in the luxury she is used to?
  • Gracie argues with David that she doesn't want to go. The family has had some happy times together. He thinks that confused her. But it's his decision, so that's that. She icily tells him to go; she needs to paint. He tells her he really does care about her and hopes she understands. He leaves and she goes into a full meltdown, angrily trashing her room, knifing a painting and cursing Luciana.
  • Gutierrez is angry that El Coyote was found dead. He's sure his accomplices killed him to keep him from talking. He tells his underling to move and get on it, he needs to find those people. The man leaves his office, and Lilian calls Gut to hit on him. He's way too busy for that. He'll call her back. Lilian is perturbed and asks herself who the hell does he think he is.
  • Luciana is all mad that Miguel is mad at her over her Erika jealousy. Marta tries to make sense of it. Good luck on that Marta. She basically tells her that it's good that Erika popped up to make Luciana think through her feelings for Miguel. Luciana rambles on about Gracie, David and the kids. Marta puts her in her place and tells her that David is a man of sufficient experience to figure out things. She also tells her not to make a mess of the tomatoes she's chopping and to decide what she wants.
  • Work meeting over Chinese takeout for Juan, Grungy and Perla. They'll use Mark's truck to bring the immigrants to the new place. It's important that they leave the cell phones in it, so as not to be tracked. Mark slips that he's paranoid after what happened to Coyote. Perla asks what happened to him. Whoopsie! Jerk Mark covers with a lovely comment about how Perla need not worry about that and as a woman all she needs to do is keep her man happy and the place they are in clean. With that and a kiss from Juan, the two bad guys are off, but on his way out, Mark grabs Perla's face and menacingly tells her to keep him informed of everything that Susan does, and not to tell Juan about that. She doesn't want trouble from Mark. Perla can only nod in agreement with that.
  • Gracie and her room are kind of a mess after her meltdown. They could use a loving mother's touch. Gracie just wants to be left in peace. Too bad, Lilian is here.
  • Gracie manages to call David an imbecil for preferring Luciana. She knows she can change his opinion, if Lilian helps. Crazy eyes! Lilian surprisingly is tender with her.
  • David finds Bobby in the kitchen. They have a father/son chat about how adult things are complicated. David asks Bobby why he doesn't like his aunt. Bobby says he loves her but she doesn't always want to be with him. David tries to explain that she's part of the family. Bobby still is team Luciana because Gracie doesn't want to be his friend.
  • Lilian enlists Fer's help in the family drama by telling her that her dad is considering sending Aunt Gracie back to Spain. That freaks Fer out (something Lilian was obviously counting on). Fer will talk to Bobby.
  • The next day in the wine vat part of things, Miguel is unpacking a box of wine loudly and angrily in front of Luciana. Luciana tells him "por favor!" They get into their issues again. But then they are interrupted by Tano and Susan having their own workplace quarrel, with Susan loudly yelling at Tano that "Te quiero but no te amo!" Exactly! Tano angrily leaves. Miguel goes after him. Susan leaves and Luciana goes after her. Another hard working day for the professionals at the vineyard!
  • Carito is a nervous wreck in her bedroom and knocks over her perfume. Perla comes home and tries to tell her things are going great as they found a new place for the immigrants. Carito corrects her and tells her about El Coyote and Ingrid on the news, showing her the video. Worse, Leon and Miguel were the ones who helped Ingrid. Carito tells Perla she is going to the police.
  • Tano throws a tantrum to rival Gracie's so it's good he ran away from the wine bottles. Miguel tries to calm him down by telling him things are complicated in love and you can't force it. He offers up his situation with Luciana and Erika as an example. Tano doesn't understand women. Miguel says they are complicated and explains his current quarrel with Luciana.
  • Carito is crying in the kitchen. Perla tries to get her to promise to say nothing. She'd be upset if Juan went to jail. They wouldn't get their dreams of luxury. Carito refuses. She's going to the police and she's going to tell them the truth.
  • Fer convinces Bobby not to hate on his aunt by kissing up to him. She gets him to promise he will be friends with Gracie.
  • Perla keeps working on Carito. Carito holds firm at first. She's worried for the immigrants. Perla doesn't really know the immigrants' current food/lodging situation. And she doesn't think Juan really loves Perla like he says he does. Perla tells her not to sweat Juan, but Mark is another story. She doesn't want to cross him. Realizing she's stuck, Carito promises not to say anything, but she's out and if they keep after her, she'll return to Mexico.
  • Susan and Luciana empathize with each other's man problems. Susan is sad but knows breaking up with Tano, a much younger, more immature man while she is married to a crazy abusive human trafficker who is obsessed with her, is for the best. Luciana has her usual I love two guys problem. Sensing the girl talk afoot, Cesar and David come in their office. David tells Susan the police are looking for Mark. Then he asks to speak to Luciana alone.
  • Lilian tries to make chitchat with a distracted Gracie and encourage painting over dreams of marrying David. Fer and Bobby come in. Bobby asks what happened to the trashed paintings. Gracie pauses ... how to answer?
  • Gutierrez is having a press conference. He confirms the raid was to provide amnesty to the immigrants in exchange for information that will bring down the human trafficking ring. He says he is not a racist, and he wants to help immigrants. His campaign is pro-immigrant. Asked how successful his campaign will be, he answers that he doesn't know. Then he talks about the raid from last night, but unfortunately the leader was found dead. While the immigrants ran away, they do have Ingrid's testimony. The next step is to find El Coyote's accomplices, imprison them and stop the human trafficking.
  • Luciana asks David how things are with Bobby because she's worried about him. He will be going to a psychologist. Let's hope it's not Roman from El Color de la Pasion. She thinks he needs to stay here with friends and family. David agrees. David then notices Luciana seems sad. She rambles on about all the complications with Gutierrez/Marta, Bobby, and then Miguel. "What about Miguel," asks David, who is clearly all over this handy Miguel complication situation. Is it a work problem? Luciana says it's a personal issue and tries to evade questioning, but David knows what's up, and asks her if she feels for him what she feels for Miguel.

Dy77, thanks for that snappy review of all the crazy. I enjoyed all the screencaps.

Yikes, Disgrace looked like a stick of dynamite that had just been lit. The actress is killing this role. I think tgst she is tge blondest person I have ever seen in a tn. I'll bet that it is fun to trash a room like that knowing that you are not going to be the one to clean it up. The mask dropped, and she went full out BSC. For the first time , we see Lilian showing some compassion for her second favorite daughter. Perhaps there is a beating heart in Lilian...nah...just kidding! It was interesting to watch her reaction when she called Gut and he basically said "ah..thanks but no thanks..I have stuff to do."

Dave asks if Luci has a work related issue with his competition Miguel. Well, kind of...she can't WORK up enough feels for him. New rule: You cannot be jealous of someone if you don't actually want that person for yourself.

The theme song for this show should be Peter Frampton's "Do you..you...feel like I do?" And the answer for most of these people is " No, I...I..don't."

Ick...Marked is now threatening and smarming on one of the bad team. Does this guy have no moral compass? (Purely rhetorical question)No moral compass...no shampoo.

I was shocked that Dumb and Dumber were able to kill the dresded el coyote instead of the other way around. (Diana..They dud in deed outfox el coyote!!)It is amazing that the SWAT team missed that big old body wrapped in a blanket, but Sherlockgut spotted something amiss.

Well, off to teach past perfect tense.

dy, simply fabulous! Perfect screen shots and witty, intriguing dialog from start to finish.

I fell asleep rather early last night so I appreciate all of the stellar details you included.

"There's not enough red wine in the world, Cesar" and "Ramon tells Leon and Miguel not to go after him. So Leon goes after his uneaten dinner" were among many favorites. "There's not enough red wine in the world, Cesar" had me nodding in vigorous agreement.

Unfortunately, the only scene I saw was Luci and Miguel quibbling followed by Susan and Tano bursting into the scene with her oft repeated dialog that she cares about but doesn't love him. "Susan is sad but knows breaking up with Tano, a much younger, more immature man while she is married to a crazy abusive human trafficker who is obsessed with her, is for the best". Yes. Totally agree. Huge sigh.

Color me gobsmacked that Coyote died. I thought surely he was going to be prominently featured in upcoming episodes and that he would surely see and torment Luci. An unexpected plot development. So, do we know who actually pulled the trigger? I feel more worried for the immigrants now though that Dumb and Dumber are in charge. Mark is disgusting. "No moral compass...no shampoo" is right Susanlynn!! :)

So Graciela let loose? "For the first time , we see Lilian showing some compassion for her second favorite daughter" - sorry I missed that Susanlynn. It's always shocking to me to see Lili actually show any compassion or kindness. She must really have to dig deep. Ack.

So much for Brian's plan to make himself look good in Lili's eyes. I hope he brings down Juan and Mark and quickly.

So Miguel and Luci have quarreled but still not come to any sort of understanding that they will move on? Perhaps David and Luci might start forward movement as they continue their conversation? I doubt it but hope springs eternal.

Thank you dy! This was great.

Diana

Excellent work dy. A big thanks.

"So Leon goes after his uneaten dinner"

I thought David was gonna let Graciela down easy but BAM and I laughed so hard I couldn't breathe. My sides.

More of the loving two men and wanting to keep them both in orbit crap from Luciana. Liked Marta's digs about Erika and if Luciana snoozes she loses also making it clear that Marta prefers Luciana be with Miguel.

I'm not convinced we'll get more than another dodge from Luciana. She's playing both men and I hate that they want anything to do with that selfish crazy. Luciana mentioning trouble with her grab mate to David a ploy to give him hope.

Never dreamed the badass coyote would go down so easy to Juan and Mark but it proves Mark more dangerous than I gave him credit. Susan should be frightened and so should Perla, Carito, Cesar, Tano and Juan.

So a deal struck. Bobby to warm to Graciela and in exchange Fernanda to warm to Luciana. How long will that last?

Thank You DY, Nice work. Short and sweet works for me.

I'd be happy to just skip Luci Miguel and SooSun.

On The Other Hand...
Lilith :comforting her Succubus was the best !

Does nobody ever wonder why a room needs repaint and carpet? It is not like she is registered under a fake name and can give the front desk her key, cover her plate, and drive back home. What a frigging mess. It is time for Savid to follow through on his "Distance" hint. And continents, not feet.

I would like Dave to walk in while his people are 'working'. Last night looked like when two female alley cats are in heat at the same time. That goat rodeo is getting out of hand. He needs almost a complete new salaried staff.

Ya Sue the old hose chewer would have been perfect for last night.

Crimminy I thought for a minute last night that Carita might be able to talk Perla into coming after her with a kitchen knife. If she gos to the Popo, the popo go to Perla. When are Perla and NoJuan going to admit to each other that neither of them loves the other, but it is simply a pretense for getting what they want? Greedy.

"Savid" nice fat fingers. Sonia,..... bring me another coffee.
Yes. Right away.
"Yes WHAT?"
Yes...My King

It literally just occurred to me reading this lovely recap, thank you dy, that Graciela's freakout over David was almost exactly like at least one of Lilian's earlier freakouts over either Marta and/or Gutierrez. Just with more property damage. Which makes Lilian actually comforting her, sort of, a little nicer in that "She's really my little girl..." sort of way.

That aside: why in the hell did this fakakta show skip completely over the death of El Coyote? Moving the immigrants in absentia I can accept--I was expecting that anyway after the last ep--but c'mon: a minor if important villain gets bumped off, offscreen, and in just enough of a nebulous way that we don't even know for certain who did it? The hell, show? There isn't enough red wine in the world for that.

OTOH, Carito...Perla's apparently doubled down on her desire to stay with Juan and get that money, and Carito's suffering from a full-blown attack of conscience due to the whole Coyote thing coming out and wants out of all things trafficky. Yanet Sedano did a really good job with all of that, but I can't help thinking that Carito wanting to fall on her sword--however detoured or delayed--means that her days are numbered in the name of karma recycling for Perla.

And then there was Miguel's "Baby, come on!" rant being hilariously full-on interrupted by Tano's "Baby, come on!" rant. Tano's flipout at least made more sense than Miggy's sudden burst of sanity (then again, Miguel was wearing sleeves in this episode), but it was still a deliberately wacky juxtaposition.

Good work, dy77. Maybe we'll finally get some action on this story.

I didn't see El Coyote being taken out so soon, either. However, there are many more like him on both sides of the border and I think that was the point. Luciana will be safe from him but possibly not from his accomplices on the other side. Carito could be in danger, too; she'd be an easier victim as well.

This makes Brian a important character to this story. He's been presented as a man who has had the light bulb moment of self-acceptance and the subsequent desire to help others; it's part of his karma. I don't think it's any coincidence that this series is being shown here now with all the immigration issues we will face in the next four years.

Having said that, I don't think he will catch Juan and Mark that quickly, with about 70-75 remaining episodes.

Mark is absolute proof that there is no honor among thieves. He is now looking to abuse Perla right under Juan's nose. "keep her men happy"? What a rotter. Makes me wonder whether Juan and Mark will kill each other as their Karmageddon.

Our resident succubus was also true to form as well. Great lines and comments about her.

More later.

I thought Lilian made reference to Graciela having similar fits as a child, like this is a pattern of behavior. Like she's loaded and can go off at any time. Attacking her room or her sister with a rock.

Thanks, dy77! I'm sorry I missed Gracie's tantrum, but glad I got to see a pic. She's gonna lose her security deposit!

"She's worried he will violate the restraining order." Aren't the phone calls a violation of the restraining order? ICBW, but I thought they were.

Interesting that they're not letting us know which one of the creeps shot Coyote.

The episode certainly ended on a tantalizing note. It would be great if this could lead to the next stage of the story.

NOTE: I haven't begun to read the recap or comments yet, but if you didn't see Cynthia's late entry on Monday's episode--I urge folks to read it. Thank you Cynthia. We know you talk from experience.

Kirby--We hope you and your mother have recovered from your trauma.

Nandicta: I noticed Graciela's temper tantrum ROFLOL. The terrible 2's LOL.

Julie: Carito seemed NERVOUS when Miguel, Leon & Ramon watched the press conference with Ingrid explaining what happened.

Anita: Perry Mason Mystery: Who whacked El Coyote ? When Gutierrez called Lillian about who was helping El Coyote, Lillian got nervous. Hmmmm: What's her angle in all of this ? Is she some secret drug-lord ?

UA: Ingrid is still in danger though since Carito yapped to Perla about it. This doesn't look too good for Ingrid.

Bill C: We all know Perla's going to suffer the same fate as Marinita did on "Pasion y Poder" when Franco cold-cocked her.

Carito's fate: will she end up murdered or worse ?

Steve, it's likely that when Gut asked Lil about the Coyote, she immediately suspected Juan. That would be her angle in this, I think. I wonder if she will try to blackmail Juan or if she'll be smart enough to stay out of it.

Thanks, DY!

Loved the Gracie dump! I thought he was going to ask her to leave the house!

Fer is busy with Bobby or she could distract Tano with her bop-tailed skirts and flirtatious side eys. But, I think, like someone said the other day, Soosan may have been his first time and Fer may be cute but he knows she can't haul his ashes.

Luciana the playa. Susan and Tano outlined her and Miguelito's issue perfectly and she's still claiming confusion. And the nerve to throw Erica up in his face! Keep going, Luci, your wishiwashiness, scolding Miguel over his bristling at David and refusal to say te amo to Miguel will drive him right into the arms of "I know what I want, and I want you" Erica. And I will be GLAD!

Luci, take a page from Erica's book and tell Dave you want him! If you don't, I hope both he AND Miguel dump you worse than Gracie got dumped today!

Tofie Lilith did tell Gracie that those meltdowns had been with her since childhood.

That Gracie has been having tantrums since childhood comes as no surprise. I'm sure that whenever Lillian or anyone else paid the slightest attention to Lisa she had a fit.

Loved the recap, Dy. Thanks a bunch.
Helen

dy, Up to par, as always, excellent retelling of the action on all fronts. Thanky a buncho.

Did anyone hear Gut call out God's name in vain when he saw the dead Coyote? Just a note of irony--here we've had school lockdowns while zoo officials look for a 25-lb bobcat named Ollie who apparently decided to take a walking tour of the neighborhood in D.C. It only took one shot and a rug to catch the Mexican Coyote.

Bill, Diana and Susanlynn--Agree the whole Dead Coyote thing required two or three beanies sandwiched between layers of titanium for me. That guy would never have been alone. In fact he was such a big deal with a bad reputation in Mexico, he would NOT have been leading a truckfull of immigrants over the border by himself. He would have hired someone. Too, he would have been the first one to scatter among the fleeing immigrants. Gimme a break.

The only reason he ended up dead was a plot device so we have to sit through more of the Dumb and Dumber show. Perla, wake up before it's too late. Oh, you poor thing, it's already too late.

Diana--Actually Brian wanted to look good in Marta's eyes--insignificant error in the grand scheme of things, though he actually wants NOTHING more to do with Lil--unless forced to.

Loved watching Gracie destroy her paintings. I guess she didn't stop to realize she'll have to replace them all in order to keep Joselo happy.

I'm so tired of Luciana. I'm glad Migi is beginning to feel the same way. Let's get this Luci waffling out of the way.

I see absolutely nothing coming from Bobby getting friendly with Grace. Now that David has stated the reason for keeping his distance from her, schmoozing Bobby is all for naught and she'd be wasting her time. Better to pick up her paint brush again.

Yuy Anita He said ***dammit.

And my CC here in Floridagoingtohell put it up there.

Yeah Anita but she said last night that even though all had happened, she would still snare him. Not in e x a c t l y those words, but close

I wish that Dave had said "I cannot get involved with you because you are MY SISTER IN LAW." Drop the mike. Bam.

Anita...I saw news reports about the bobcat who decided to leave the zoo. We have coyotes and bobcats in our rural area. I have never seen any, but hub has seen coyotes at my parents' farm.

Is this whole telenovela one long PSA about the dangers of illegally crossing the border ? Coyotes, death, deportation?

Immigration in general, and illegal immigration in particular, is definitely something the show's heart is wearing on its proverbial sleeve. It's not as sledgehammery about it as, say, Señora Acero was last fall...but it's definitely committed to it as a throughline.

As for Graciela's sister-in-law status: the show's gone out of its way to downplay, avoid and/or outright ignore any hint of legally acceptable ew there. It's hilarious and messed up at the same time, at least to me. (Considering The Bold and the Beautiful is infamously legendary in this regard, I'm looking at this show and basically going "Oh, isn't that cute.")

You know the dead coyote looked a little younger than I remembered. Could the guy Juan and Mark killed be a look alike advance man? I cannot get my head around "The Coyote", who eliminated all his competition in a gangland war, would go alone to see Juan and Mark and unarmed.

I really have gotten the impression that the writers go into work everyday , and someone says "So, any ideas of what should happen next?"... stream of consciousness writing.Let's start here and just wander down the path until we get to the final episode.

Telenovelas traditionally were about 60 episodes. I usually like the ones that are based on books , and my favorites are the historical fiction ones that nobody seems to be doing anymore.

Last night, I watched a show on PBS called PIoneers of Television : Miniseries. It was about miniseries based on successful novelas, ROots, THornbirds, RIch Man, POorMAn , and Shogun .

They probably go into work and somebody says..."You see what those forks on Caray said about us last night? We gotta do sumpin. I forgot all about that."

Wonderful job DY77. I absolutely LOVED all your pictures, especially the one with DisGracie's tear-stained face. OMG, her temper tantrums are something else. This is probably the 2nd one we have seen where she destroys her artwork? She won't have much for her next art gallery exhibit now, will she? Just waiting for Joselo to find out about this, but she sure is good at keeping him in the dark and wrapped around her little finger. But I think he is smarter than David is and not easily fooled like David is. David finally realized that this was not a good thing, but it was a mistake for him to admit to DisGrace that he really loves Luciana. Now I'm thinking that DisGrace will start planning Luciana's death. But since the actress has first billing in this show, I doubt her plans would work if that would happen. (No I have no idea about the future episodes, I just think that DisGrace now has motive to murder her competition.)

That Coyote, it didn't seem like the same guy. In fact, when I first saw him on the ground like that, he looked kind of like Juan.

Mark's going after Perla made me angry. As much as I dislike Perla, I hate Mark hitting on her.

I wonder where the immigrants/human trafficking victims are? I hope they are still alive and not dead too. Mark and Juan kept talking about "getting rid of them." I hope that didn't mean to kill them all off and put them in a big hole somewhere.

I agree, immigration is a big deal right now in current events. I just don't like the "El Coyote" immigration where people are trafficked and abused. I wish the governments on both sides would really crack down on this.

That would be nice except Mexico is at least 60 episodes ahead of us.

Dy77 good recap. Perla:"I would be upset if juan went to jail". Well she going to. They could have conjugal visits. That is if one of them don't end Up dead. Which is kind of gonna be inevitable for smelly mark. I don't know why I came up with smelly mark, I guess at the time that could describ the utter Loathing I feel for him. Evil stinks, and he evil. Ergo "smelly mark". Yall Welcome to use that.

I'm surprised that David told anybody that he's in love with lucy, but he told the wrong person, cuz Gracie is probably going to try and kill her, just like she did her sister. A while back Lillian said something in a conversation she was having with somebody that made me think that maybe when Gracie was younger she had some mental issues. I think she was talking to Gracie about that and Gracie kind of brushed it off. That would explain why she murdered her sister. Watch out
Lucy. I don't remember what episode that was maybe two weeks ago or longer but anyway grazy is mental.

When I saw how shaky carita was I was thinking maybe she killed the coyote guy and set the immigrants free but then maybe Mark did it.
It's about to get messy and bloody.

So Luciana and Miguel a broken up or what?

Thanks dy77.

Right UA. I think Mexico is somewhere above 130 episodes now.

Urban, so, is this telenovela almost over in Mexico ?

Thanks, dy77. Fine recap and pics. The first pic with Gracie wailing on her painting is my fave.

Dang, El Coyote is gone. I was looking forward to him using Mark and Juan as dust rags. ITA unbelievable that Dumb and Dumber could outfox him.

Funny when Miguel was yelling at Luciana not saying te amo and then he put himself in check when he saw Tano yelling even louder at Susan. I had to turn down the TV volume.

Miguel, Luciana’s non-answer actually is your answer. No matter how hard a day one has had, they can still muster te amo, if the feeling is inside them.

two words, DisGracie..Anger management ..rock\sister ...KNife\canvas ..It seems that any item that is readily at hand can turn into a weapon for DisGracie.

IMBD has it listed up to 2/10 at 135 episodes. I'll be checking regularly until someone from Mexico lets us know.

Nina: Carito getting nervous about Ingrid. You know it's going to get super ugly & bloody when chaos gets loose.

Cynthia: When Lilith was comforting the succubus they were talking about how to get rid of Luci in an ominous way.

Right after she told Lilith that her plans were in fact NOT ruined, and Lilith seemed to wonder aloud how that could be. She said she had to get rid of Luci, "Will you help me, you will won't you?" and Lil assured her she would help. It had a (to me) dark undercurrent.

Oh by the way, I read in another article that the grand finale for this show in Mexico is on February 19th.

So if 2/10 is 135 we end up with 142 or 143, depending on whether the finale is one or two hours.

Hey, I have bad news. My Time Warner Spectrum cancelled all Univision channels. I'm so bummed. Anyone else have this dilemma with their cable TV company?

Cynthia--How devastating! I was annoyed by the scrolling black band beneath my telenovelas, day after day, smug that I do not have Spectrum. But to have one of our own affected is terrible. I hope they will reconsider. If they do, they'll probably make you pay more for your cable. I lost Azteca in the middle of a telenovela some time back and I was furious. I can get it back if I purchase the more expensive Latino package--but I don't watch enough to make up for the additional cost.

WTF??? That's an outrage. Cynthia, where are you?

I'm in Los Angeles, California and on Time Warner Spectrum out here. Seems that all the companies on Spectrum (Time Warner merged with Charter Communications, giving birth to Spectrum). Yeah UA, this is a WTF deal. I called my cable company and I just get a recording telling me that they are working to resolve the issue. They say that Univision is demanding an unreasonable price.

It makes me angry because Univision is a free channel that comes out on airwaves, like NBC, CBS, ABC. In fact, Univision is OWNED by NBC, so what the heck is the problem? It's not like having HBO, Showtime, TMC, etc...If they don't put it back, I'm going to have to figure a way to go from cable to "antenna" somehow and put an HD antenna on my TV. I do not want to have to watch everything a day late on Hulu.
