Vino el Amor #66; Wednesday February 1, 2017: Mark goes to Jail; DisGrace called to Spain

David and Luciana are conversing outside concerning Bobby and his well-being. The conversation then gets personal between David and Luciana. David notices that Luciana looks sad. She says it’s just a lot of things, mostly having to do with her mother and Gutierrez. Then she mentions Miguel….David says, “What about Miguel? Are there problems with work? Is there anything that I need to worry about?” Luciana replies, “No, just personal problems. I don’t know why I said anything.” David responds, “It’s okay if you don’t want to tell me about it I respect that. But tell me one thing: I need to know if you have forgotten what you felt for me when you have been with Miguel. Because I can’t forget….” Luciana says, “It’s best that you say nothing because there is nothing we can do to change or fix things.” David says, “I’m not so sure about that. Before I move on to with things, there are a few things I need to take care of and fix. I don’t want to do anything that will hurt anyone.”

DisGracie is with Fernanda and Bobby in her bedroom crying (mostly crocodile tears) about how badly she feels about what happened with Bobby and she is so sorry that she asked his father to come help her with her paintings instead of sending him over to play with Bobby. She is claiming that she began to hate her paintings, that’s why she destroyed them. Bobby says that it’s all good, he loves her paintings, he loves her,  and not to cry. Fernanda hugs her and tells her that Bobby has something he wants to say. And guess what? Bobby says he wants to be friends! Gracie puts on a happy dance and acts like this the most wonderful news, it’s going to be all about having fun, going on vacations, yada, yada, yada…. Lilian was in the background whispering, “Thank God! They are finally getting along.”  Before the kids leave the room, DisGracie says, “I love you both, you are my LIFE.” The kids leave and arrogant DisGracie tells her mother, “See how easy it is to manipulate these children? And just like that, I’m going to be able to get David too.”

Perla and Juan watch a video on her tablet with Ingrid telling the story of what happened to her in the human trafficking situation run by someone called “El Coyote.” Juan get angry. (In the background we see Mark walking up, but he turns the corner and does not ender Juan’s office. He’s obviously headed elsewhere.) Juan is worried about Carito talking but Perla promises to talk to her. She also lets him know that Miguel and León are the ones who helped Ingrid. Juan continues to show his anger at Perla and wants to know how it was that Carito came to know that Miguel and León came to help Ingrid. Perla explains that when it all came out in the news, Carito found out.

Juan comes up with a plan to get information from Carito, Miguel, and León. He wanted Perla to question them, but Perla says she isn’t friends with Miguel or León.

Meanwhile, Mark finds Susan and physically attacks her. She screams as Mark continues to assault her. David to the rescue! “You think you are a man because you hit a woman?”  He throws a couple of punches Mark is on the floor out cold. He helps Susan up and Susan calls the police. Mark gets up tries to attack again and David throws another couple punches and Mark is on the floor again—TKO. (Where he belongs! Good going, David!) David comforts Susan and tells her that everything will be alright as she cries.

León and Luciana talk in the kitchen talking about recent happenings. León says that when she and their dad were deported, their lives changed forever. Luciana says, “Well, I’m back now and we are reunited with our mom now.” They talk about Ingrid and hope that her testimony will help catch those terrible human traffickers. Luciana advises León that if anything like that happens again, he needs to go straight to David about it and not take such chances. León says he felt like telling Miguel was enough and that Miguel did what he could to help make things right. Meanwhile, Carito is coming downstairs with a suitcase, crying. She says she is going back to Mexico because she does not want to go on living there. León asks her, “What happened, Carito?” She cries some more and León hugs her.

Carito explains that she misses her family has always felt alone there and it’s never been home. Since her cousin died, nothing feels right and she wants to be with her family. Carito also says she does not feel happy. Luciana tells her that there will always be a reason to be happy whether it is there, or in some other place. She goes on to say, “I know that you and I haven’t gotten along that well (ya think??) but I hold no grudges with you and if you want, it’s not too late that we can be friends.” Carito cries that so much has happened that maybe it is just too late for that. Luciana answers that no matter what, it’s her decision and Luciana holds no grudges. Lu asks Carito to think about what her going back to Mexico might mean to her family, without the extra income coming from Carito. But Carito says, “Yes, but at what cost? Every day I realize that there is nothing for me in the USA.” Luciana says, “Very well, but still, I hold no grudge toward you and will do whatever I can to support you and be your friend.” At this time, Perla walks in and realizes that Carito is talking about leaving. You can see Carito’s demeanor change when Perla comes in. Perla takes charge, saying she is Carito’s real friend, hustles Carito back upstairs, suitcase and all.

Back in the Cava, David calls Juan and tells him they had problems with Susan’s ex. (Like Juan gives a rat’s ass.) Tano comes running over and Miguel comes too, wanting to know why she was alone. The police arrive and take Mark away in handcuffs. David says he’s going to press charges against Mark too. Then David turns to Juan and says “How can you be friends with a man like this?” Juan makes excuses and says he has no control over his friends. Miguel and Tano give Susan their support and David says that hopefully this is the last they see of Mark over there. Juan looks on and seems very perturbed. (To say the least!)

Fernanda and Bobby come over to the employees’ house and Luciana comes out. “What are you doing here?” Bobby says, “My sister has something very important to say.” Fernanda explains: “I want us to get along well. I’m going to do everything I can so that we can put this behind us and be friends. I also want to say that I think it was terrible what Gutierrez did to your mother.” Fernanda turns around and leaves but Bobby stay around another minute. Mentions he’s getting along better with his aunt, but Luciana is still his best friend.

Upstairs in the employees’ house Perla and Carito talk and Perla tells Carito not to fall for Luciana’s game, to remember that she took Miguel from her. But Carito still wants to go back to Mexico. Carito wonders if Miguel or the boss are suspicious of them. Perla warns her that she should never tell anyone about the “immigrants” because Mark will come back to hurt her.

At the Santa Barbara Vineyard, Adolfo and Erica discuss that she is working hard and she needs to take a break. Erica says “there is just so much to do and not enough workers.” Adolfo says, “Well, let’s just get more workers.” But Erica says “No, I don’t want them to be illegal because then we end up with more problems.”  Adolfo recommends another place to get workers, but Erica says that will be too expensive. Erica’s solution is to ask Miguel to help out. (Huh? I thought she was talking about needing lots of Vineyard workers, not one person such as Miguel). Adolfo finds this amusing, but tells her to remember that Miguel works for David because David might think they are trying to steal their workers. Adolfo also says that if he were going to steal a worker from David, it definitely be Luciana! Erica rolls her eyes…Erica makes it clear she never wants Luciana to come work for them since she is Miguel’s girlfriend.

Adolfo also mentioned that David trusts his employees and the employees trust him. He brought up that when Luciana briefly worked for him Juan had told Adolfo that Luciana had personal problems with David. But when he asked Luciana about it, Luciana denied having any personal problems with David. Erica tells Adolfo to think about hiring Miguel. “We need someone like Miguel so our vineyard can grow bigger.”

Juan visits jailbird Mark and says, “What were you thinking?” Juan reiterates his plan to bail out Mark and Mark vows to help Juan destroy David. Bail is $3000 and he has to claim he has “anger management” issues.

Bobby and David walk through and Bobby tells his dad that he and Fernanda made an agreement together. He vowed that he would make an effort to get along with his Tía  and Fernanda agreed to get along with Luciana. David was very glad to hear that and very proud of him.

Juan has called Miguel and León to his office to yell at them about helping out Ingrid. As the hypocrite he is, Juan lambasted them for harboring an illegal alien and “what if David found out, do you know how much trouble you’d be in? He’d probably fire you.” Miguel says, “Tell him if you want, she was not working here. We just did what was right by her, took care of her, and took her to the police.” By this time Miguel and León have had enough and walk out.

They tell Luciana the story and she tells them they’d better discuss this with David before Juan gets to. She says that Juan is right, this could have led to a lot of problems. Miguel then gets hot under the collar and angry with Luciana. “Is that the only thing you care about?” They start to get into a big argument over the situation while León is telling them to quit fighting. Miguel is convinced that David is looking for an excuse to send Miguel far away so that David can have a clear path to Luciana.  Miguel thinks that David tries to make problems for the both of them and Luciana just doesn’t see it that way. Miguel continues arguing with Luciana about David. Miguel asks her if she even loves him and Luciana says nothing. He finally tells her, “When you are brave enough to tell me how you feel about the boss, let me know.” He turns around and walks off angrily.

DisGracie’s iPhone rings and who is on the other end but Joselo! She’s not too thrilled to hear from him. He says that the time to have the exhibit is ready, but DisGracie says she has more time. Joselo says, “No, because the gallery already sold your last painting.” Joselo then informs Gracie that the gallery owner wants her there in person and she has to now travel back to Spain. Joselo warns her to not make any more excuses that this is serious and if she doesn’t come, she stands to lose a lot of money. She reluctantly give in and says she will be coming and will finish her paintings over there.

DisGracie informs David that she has to leave and go to Spain and he congratulates her for her success. Then she suggests that they should all go as a “family.” David says this is not a good time and they need their routine and school. Luciana walks in and says that her mother is on her way. They need to discuss how to deal with Bobby’s crisis. Together they decide the best way to help Bobby with his feelings of abandonment since Lisa’s death.

Tano is working in the distillery and Fernanda walks in. He informs her that it’s over with him and Susan. She comforts him, he puts his arm around her and they say they are friends. (They certainly look like more than friends).

Next day Luciana is reiterating to Susan how Gutierrez was the culprit in her deportation. She also tells Susan that David told her how he feels about her but has to solve a couple problems first. She wonders if one of those problems Gracie. Susan doesn’t think that David wants a relationship with Grace. But Miguel is very angry about how the boss feels about Luciana. Susan advises Lu to be honest with Miguel with the way she feels.

Carito comes running into Juan’s office to find Perla and show her the news on her phone that shows that “El Coyote” has been found dead and wonders if Mark is the one who killed him. Now she is more scared than ever that Mark will come after her. Perla is convinced that Juan won’t let anything bad happen because Juan loves her. Carito does not agree with Perla’s view that you have to do what you have to do to “get” the things you want in life. If she does not go the police, it’s because she is afraid to end up the way “El Coyote” did. Carito says, “Mark is very dangerous. I’m very frightened of him, so I’m going back to Mexico.”

Juan comes in and he and Perla discuss what has been going on with Carito, “El Coyote” and Mark. They get on the subject of Miguel and then Juan decides he is going to do what he can to get Miguel fired.

Outside the employees’ house, Luciana relates to Marta about how Fernanda and Bobby made an agreement that Bobby will try to get along with DisGrace if Fernanda will try to get along with Luciana. This makes Marta happy.

Erica is downtown and sees Miguel. He looks very happy to see her. Erica wants to know if Luciana was angry because he came to look for Bobby in their vineyard. They talk about their friendship and decide they can be friends. Miguel mentions that the boss, David will never let Luciana go. They talk about the new wine competition and David walks up and finds Miguel and Erica talking together. David seems a little suspicious and looks at Miguel questioningly as Erica talks about this competition.

Cynthia, well, well, well, girl you lucked into a fun episode to write. Nice job, too, thanks

Mr Robles finally got to use those muscles you girls are always salivating over. And I must say, pretty impressive. Grungy Mark looked like one of those gag rubber chickens when Dave unloaded a sledgehammer punch on him. Now we are getting somewhere. That just shows you how messed up and delusional Grungy Dirty Boy really is. Even your average drunk in a bar wouldn't take a chance on Dave's landing one, cause it is a two hit fight. He hits you, you hit the ground. What better way to look like a hillbilly doofus. Mark ya look sweet in orange. Sleep on your back.

Good work Cynthia. Thanks you.

I was so glad Mark tried to get up so he could be beat down twice.

Graciela was able to shake off the interception for 6 and right back throwing deep.

Lots of effort and time invested in creating the perfect storm to separate Miguel and Luciana, again confirming Miguel is the galan.

I almost want to feel bad for Carito but until she stops listening and speaking to Perla I can't.

Thanks, Cynthia! Haven't finished to ep or read the recap yet, just wanted to say: Finally some ass-whuppin' and Mark is the lucky recipient!

WHOO HOO!!!

Later!

Cynthia, your conversation translations were perfection and your summary was splendid.

"The kids leave and arrogant DisGracie tells her mother, “See how easy it is to manipulate these children? And just like that, I’m going to be able to get David too.” Whoa, not so fast sister! I am relieved (although a bit surprised Graciela will be spirited away to Spain. Goodbye. Good riddance. It would be nearly impossible for David and Luci to move forward with her hanging around. Fer, the other obstacle seems to have calmed down a bit so maybe this story can move forward. No spoiler, but Fer's wrath will soon become apparent again once (and if) David earnestly starts pursuing Luci.

"ass-whuppin' is right Lila! :) And as you pointed out Kirby, Mark was completely delusional to think he was going survive one good punch by David. Out "gunned" for sure.

tofie, I must admit I did feel for Carito last night. She wants to leave and she should do so. I am also afraid for her safety. It was nice that Leon and Miguel were there for her, and Luci certainly showed her big heart by offering friendship that Carito certainly did not deserve.

Luci may be standing around waffling indecisively about her two "men", but I sense little grass is going to grow under Erica's feet. She seems like a woman who knows her mind and goes about getting what she wants. Again, when Miguel and Luci get into it, I just don't care for him. But I like him with everyone else.

Juan has no choice but to get Mark bounced from jail. They are now bound together and if one falls, both do. Can't wait for that to happen.

Thanks Cynthia!

Diana

She has already sneaked and worn her dead murdered sister's perfume, how long will it be until psycho succubus strolls out one morning as a brunette? If she thought she could pack a size 9 ass into size 5 clothes she would already be wearing Lisa's clothes. When she saw there was no way to get out of a trip to Spain she started in heavy with the family sh*t again and tried to turn it into a win for her as a "Family" vacation.

I am so sick of the 'my kids' mantra from David. The 800 pound Gorilla in the room is that DisGrace is your Sister-IN-Law dude. If Lilith and DG are your "Family" you would do well to try to sneak into Mexico.

That was an interesting little observation from Carita to Perla when she Perla maintained that NoJuan's love for her would cause him to protect her and Carito said "Are you that sure, because I am not."

I hope we have a Sonia sighting tonight. A day without Sonia lacks sun and sparkle.

Diana

Gracias, Cynthia. Another masterpiece.

Which can't be said for Gracie's "art." Her stuff is so bland I wonder that she doesn't try to sell it in bulk to the Murats' hotel chain in Cancun.

Now that I've slung some kitty litter at her, I will agree that her Faaaaaaamily cry is totally out of line. It will come back to bite her on the arse when David eventually finds out that she killed Lisa. However, we all know that is a long way off.

It was definitely satisfying to see Mark get his first real beatdown followed by him discovering that Orange is the New Black. Once he's out I hope somebody keeps track of whether he attends those anger management classes. We know he won't.

More later.

Sheezo how the bad ones dodge bullets and the good ones are so gullible and believe pigs fly when told, is just beyond belief. No matter what the forces of Good throw at her or she throws at herself, DisGracie flutters, slithers and lies her way out of it, or worse sill, turns it into a positive. I hope she comes back from Spain and catches Luci and David the Power Puncher in the hot tub. If she attacked her paintings yesterday, seeing them, she would attack a CAR.

Mark and NoJuan now have a stinky little problem. I am sure NoJuan will sneak in a tiny bit of succinic acid and spray Mark. He will instantly turn into that little Dr. Pepper Sweet guy and squeeze between the bars and away they go.

I'm surprised Luci has not been spotted zooming into town like the Flying Nun.to catch Miggy and Erotika.

One more thing, Mark and NoJuan always speak in Spanglish, right? Why would that be?
They think it sounds cool? Wrong.

Maybe one of them does not speak Spanish? Possibility.
We know NoJuan's English and Spanish are very good. That leaves Mark by deduction. With me?
Then please 'splain to me why his English accent is so bad?

"Aw Baibee ewe luke gud tonisht." Yeah Susan grab him before he gets away. What were you thinking?

Later Gator

Nobody told her, Diana, Sonia is still looking for Bobby. In her world there appears to be a lot more places to look. :-)

Tofie: Counselor last night NoJuan told Grungy Stinky that Susan's restraining Order does not apply because it is only valid if it has been hand delivered to Mark personally. That has a truthful smell, thinking about process servers and all. True or not?

please

What this means is that unless Susan buys a one-way ticket out of the country and leaves before he's out on bail, she isn't safe from Mark.

Perla won't be either although I have doubts that Juan would protect her from him. She would be better off going back to Mexico with Carito.

Kirby Juan is correct, Mark was never served.

Thank you, cynthia, for another excellent retelling .

Kirby..That might be true about a PFA order.I think that the person I know who received one got it at his place of employment. However, why wouldn't Marked have been served that way? Did he get it through the mail? Carrier pigeon? telegram? Pony EXpress?

Like everyone else, watching Dave go all beast mode on Marked was gratifying. Instead of acting all macho, Marked would have been much wiser to have said to Dave what Hubba's umpire friend used to say when a player came at him.."Hit me once, and I've got your car. Knock me down, and I have your house." It worked.

So now Marked has vowed to Juan to help him bring down mean Dave . Just what Dave needs, one more person out to get him and his stuff.

I know that I am supposed to relate to\feel sorry for \cheer on Luci, but I don't and I won't. Marta is always busy cooking, pulling weeds , etc.while Luci whines on and on to her. Geez, get a job or a hobby. What exactly is her job, and when exact!Y does she do it? In the middle of the night when everyone is sleeping and nobody is around to listen to her many problems?

The only thing Luciana has contributed is inspire David to open the drapes and play soccer with Bobby. Rest of the time was spent whining about how to hold two men and dry humping Miguel until Erika showed up and she got mad at him.

Blows me away she laments David may be in love with Graciela and Erika is pursuing Miguel in one run on sentence.

Tofie: I'm pulling for Erika all the way 100%!

Susanlynn: I enjoyed David kicking OJ Mark's expletive. The abuser threatening & grabbing Susan as we've seen how domestic violence is being exploited in previous TN's such as "Pasion y Poder".

UA: Susan should move to the Philippines & stay there!

Kirby: Gutierrez is so desperate to become County Sheriff, he'll continue to side with Lillian if necessary to begin a political career.

Telenovelas usually keep the galan and leading lady apart by various means until the end of the show. Each is desired by someone else. The math is more complicated for this show . Luci and DAve are attracted to each other ,but his kids are supposedly keeping them apart. In the meantime, DIsgracie wants Dave , and Miguel wants Luci. However, we have a new player in the mix..ERica, who definitely wants Miguel. Is thwat a rectangle?.

Thanks, Cynthia. Great job. Appreciate the translation of David and Luciana's conversation. I wasn't sure if they had finally stated they had a thing or not and they kind of did.

But tell me one thing: I need to know if you have forgotten what you felt for me when you have been with Miguel. Because I can’t forget….” Luciana says, “It’s best that you say nothing because there is nothing we can do to change or fix things.”

Ironic that Miguel got made when Luciana said he and León should've told David about Ingrid because the whole thing could've gotten the patrón into trouble. That's the exact same thing Miguel said to León when he found out about Ingrid.

Yay, Mark in an orange jumpsuit behind bars where he belongs. Juan is a fool to try to get him released. Mark will be his doom.

Erika's papa doesn't seem to be any good at the vineyard business. How is it he doesn't know how to get workers and has to poach from David? Maybe his late wife was the brains in the business.

I was very happy to see MIguel and Tano rushing to back Dave up after he knocked Marked down. Marked now sees that there is a whole team of guys ready to protect Susan.

Thanks, Cynthia! Right from your title, I was sorry I missed this - Mark going to jail and Gracie going to Spain! Great news!!

And poor Carito, I hope she gets back to Mexico in one piece. Oh and where is that much-vaunted cousin of hers? I haven't forgotten about him.

"Nobody told her, Diana, Sonia is still looking for Bobby. In her world there appears to be a lot more places to look. :-)"

Kirby, that made me laugh out loud. She already crossed the toaster oven off her list early on, but I'm sure in a house of that size, there are plenty of hobbit holes and even smaller spaces for her to look! :)

Diana

Thanks everyone for your great comments and compliments! Regarding DisGrace: I think she may leave, but it will most likely be very temporary. Like a repeating nightmare, she will return saying, "I'm baaaaaack!" We aren't going to get rid of DisGrace nor her mother Lilian all that easily, otherwise the story would be over. I would love to see her be gone a week though because I could take a break from her succubus ways. I think we all need a little DisGrace break here, don't we? I wonder how long it will take though, to see Juan and DisGrace turn on each other? I'm sure they are saving that for the very end.

Thanks, Cynthia! Just finished reading your wonderful comment. You DID get a fun episode and you covered it wonderfully! The comments are fun, too!

Looks like Miguel is about to experience one door closing and another opening. He's been getting his hackles up at David for so long, let him go on over to Santa Barbara and give David some REAL competition with something that matters. He also sees the writing on the wall and sees where Luci's heart is better than she does. There's a whole new world waiting for him at Santa Barbara and Erick is just waiting to welcome him into it. I hope he goes and they re-focus the story on the dueling vineyards, send DisGracie to Spain and let's get some lovin' goin'!

. . .reading your wonderful recap!

;D

Oh Kirby, I forgot that was her cousin! She should have gone away as soon as that happened.

Lila: Go for it Erika!

Julie remember Miggy came back from Erika's and had written down the deceased boy's name and they were all asking and when he read his name Carita lost her grip in her obligatory glass of water. Like on the stairs the other night.

Well there certainly is a lot of interest in Erika for our boy Miguel.
I have a little questionare I used to use, which saves a lot of time down the road.
If we could apply it to her we should be able to see how this is going to go for Miggyboy

Let's see:

1. Are you in any kind of therapy? (includes ____ Anonymous, group or individual psychotherapy, counseling, etc.)

2. Do you own an automobile which runs?

3. Are you legally married? (includes planning to leave him, separated, don’t like him anymore, `already screwing around so why does it matter?’, etc.)

4. Is there still a man in your life who makes you do otherwise unexplainable, crazy things?

5. How many jobs have you held in the past six months?

6. Which elective surgeries, if any have you had?

7. Does your own mother remember your true hair color?

8. Do you have any female friends?

9. Was your previous significant other employed?

10. How many tattoos do you have and where are they located?

11. If you have ever heard the word monogamous, please describe in your own words what it means. Hint: is not a type of wood…………

I have a monogamous end table.

My daughter has a monogamous set of sheets given to her for her wedding. (The initials are in red and pink.)

Oy, vey, Kirby--I just couldn't resist. Now, on to starting the comments from the top and not the bottom.

The Philippines have a !ot of monogamous trees.

Here are my answers : no..Yes..Yes..Yes..One..Wisdom teeth..Yes..Yes..Yes..None..There can be on!Y one.

Cynthia--Maaahvelis amiga. So glad you got a slam bang, no thank you, dude, episode. Thank you. It was fun to re-visualize Mark's beat down through your words.

I thought Gracie's exhibit was in San Francisco. Or she had to 'San Francisco' while Joselo was in SF. It seems to be in Spain? Anyhow, the excuse is that Gracie has to travel to pick up the payment for her paintings in person. Never heard of automatic deposit or Pay(the)Pal, Joselo? But I'm with anything that gets her out of Bodega Los Angeles, nowhere near Los Angeles.

So Lil may be stepping up her game. Without Gracie to oversee, will she take it out on Marta, Sonia, Luciana, Bobby, Brian, Adolfo, David, Juan, Perla, geesh the list could go on and on.

Maybe the reason this did so well in Mexico is that it gave the tn-watching audience there some insight into life on a vineyard in U.S. If anything, it should want to make them come in droves, seeing as how the workers hardly do any work. The guys move boxes of wine bottles around, sweat and the women bring them water, cook and clean for them--along with an occasional murder and a fiesta.

Tofie--You nailed it. I truly believe your statement is the premise the writers started with. It's on a great big story board they look at every day, to make sure they stay within those parameters. "The only thing Luciana has contributed is inspire David to open the drapes and play soccer with Bobby. Rest of the time was spent whining about how to hold two men and dry humping Miguel until Erika showed up and she got mad at him." Maybe we could throw in Long, longing looks.

NOOOOOooo...It was for Erika. We have a good idea of all you little Angel's answers.

Hmmm, "Long, longing looks", kinda been short on those. While there is interest between interested parties I'll limit LLL's to jump their bones.

Sonia for Davey
Davey for Luciana
Fernanda for Tano
Carito for Miguel
Miguel for Luciana
Marta for Brian
Perla for Juan (puke)

Might give Erika half an LLL for Miguel but she's a bit more cerebral than lustful

The exhibit in Spain is already over and all, each and every one...., sold. Probably bought by investors seeing the future value of such a talent who is still largely unknown. She just has to go and personally sign for the cashiers check, as it is such a large amount, it could not be (presumably) be trusted with JoJello or a bonded courier.

You know, if she made that kind of haul in the non-time she spent on it, just hire a David stunt double and spend the time she is chasing the real thing--- painting. With practice, the double, in the dark, could do a yeomanlike job.
But to be fair, Luci seems to move the whole wine world with a deceptively minimum-looking effort herself.

I think the San Fran exhibit note got erased off the writers whiteboard in the writers lounge and so we never heard about it again. It is suspiciously coincident with the time San Francisco became a verb rather than a noun.

Tofie:

1.) FerBrat keeping multiple cut-out pictures of Tano is very disturbing. These 2 are obviously going to be endgame.

2.) Cesar & Susan: IF & a big IF Susan doesn't get killed off the TN.

3.) Carito & Peter.

4.) Leon & maybe Ingrid (if she doesn't get whacked by Juan, Mark or Perla)

5.) Ramon & Marta: I just feel that he's going to be the knight & shining armor.

Tofie One of your ancestors must have helped them lay out New Orleans, you have a knack for one way streets

You know it would be a crying shame if DisGrace, AKA "Succubus" ended up marrying David. I really want Luciana to be with David, as she is the one who opened his eyes and got him to see the world again to let the sun shine in. I think Miguel should be with Erica as they seem like they are made for each other. I like Ramon and Marta together. Gutierrez and Lilian deserve each other, LOL!

I also think that Sonia and Leon should stay together. She will cook like a chef for him and Leon certainly complement her quirky personality. Susan should end up with Cesar. He is a good guy who will treat her well and when she finally realizes that he is a wonderful man, it will be a match made in heaven.

As for Juan and Perla, they will probably end up in prison or something. Well, maybe not Perla, I can see her turning over evidence to prove that Juan was criminally involved with illegal human trafficking, sabotaging the wine, etc...Lilian will tell David that Juan was cheating him out and Juan will offer up his story that DisGrace killed Lisa. At least I hope that's the way it happens. We sure can't have David marrying the woman who murdered his wife!

Hey, Cynthia. I don't think DisGracie will end up with David. Miguel's about had enough of Luci. . .he can see she's not returning his love. Even though he wasn't technically doing anything wrong, Miguel sure looked guilty and David suspicious in that last scene. Put that together with Juan telling David about Miguel helping the girl, I think he may get fired right into Erica's arms. But what about Leon? If that's the basis of firing Miguel, maybe Leon will be saved because he's Luci's brother and was not fraternizing with the enemy. I think eventually the rivalry between the two vineyards - Los Angeles headed by David and Lucia, Santa Barbara by Erica and Miguel - will be vigorous but professional, each happy that they've found the loves of their lives.

Your other scenarios sound reasonable except I can't see Perla ever breathing a word against Juan. I'm afraid Mark could end up hurting her, real bad.

Ok you know what perla need her a$$ dropkicked, I was feeling sorry for her But not now. She don't care about Carita. I hate the way she keeps hate
Goin towards Lucy. Mig was never hers
To loose. But perla wants to keep that lie Going to Controll her. She'll deserve that asswhippin.

I hope they're about to put Lucy and Davy together, we've been waiting 3,4
Mouths? Do something before spring.
I wouldn't be surprised if Miguel quit
And went to work for Ericka.
Thank you, Cynthia Hampton good recap.

Nina, you know I never thought of that but Miguel COULD quit vs. being fired. I hope so, ANYTHING other than this eternal merry-go-round of growling at David and Luci bouncing, flouncing and being confused!

Now thinking about it, as Telenovelas go, there may be a time when DisGrace gets what she wants through her deceptive manipulations. Ok, maybe they won't get married, but I can see them getting engaged for a while before David finds out what she did. And boy do I hope that all will eventually be exposed. I want to see weddings of the good people!

I see what you're saying, Cynthia. Gosh, I hope not. I think David is tainted enough for kissing his wife's killer. They should let it stop there. Yuk.

I agree. I do not want to see Dave sleeping with the enemy and Disgracie gloating about achieving her goal of seducing her sister's husband. Bleecchhh...Please..No. I do not want to have to watch that unfold on the screen. If that happens, there will not be enough Irish Spring for Dave to wash that away.

OT--Dangonnit, Susanlynn. Left my copy of Outlander at the Dr's office yesterday! I love a physical book, so I had to order from Amazon today. I'm 3/4 finished. Sure do miss it. It'll be here Saturday. :/

Great recap, Cynthia. I think we all would have preferred David just kept on punching Mark until he looked like a losing Street Fighter character, but we'll take what we can get.

Since Joselo made a point of insisting that Graciela had to come to Europe to get the proceeds from the sale of her art (I can kind of overlook the apparent geographical lapse by thinking that perhaps some Eurotrash who had crashed her exhibit in SF bought all her work, but once again the show doesn't even give us a crumb to hang that on), I'm wondering if this is dramatic tit for tat for her getting to jet off with David to Argentina. Now Gracie's off to Spain, leaving David alone in the vicinity of her rival...who coincidentally is sortakinda on the outs with her man. And since we're nearly halfway through this fakakta show, and haven't had a real David/Luci moment in weeks, we're kind of massively overdue here. (On top of, and correct me if I'm wrong here, the novela cliche that the heroine usually gets to sleep with her true love once before things implode even worse than usual.)

Off topic: My cable company put Univision back on! I was going through withdrawal....I'm good now.

OT..Lila..Oh noes. I am rereading the third book in the series Voyager which will be season three of the TV show on STarz sometime this year. Warning: When you start the second book DRagonfly in Amber, you will think you missed a book in between...But you didn't . it has an unusual beginning. Whoever finds your book at the doctor's office is in for a treat. Enjoy the journey.THat JAmie is some hombre, no?

And how! ;D
