Vino el Amor #99; Wednesday, March 22, 2017: Vino la Salvadora, Luciana

We pick up where we left off yesterday with David questioning what she was doing with Miguel. Luciana exclaims, “What are you distrusting me now?” David responds, “I just can’t believe you have done that!” Luciana says, “To what are you referring?” David goes on to talk about the problems and then accuses Luciana of dropping everything to go see Miguel. Luciana says, “I can’t believe that you’re saying this and I can’t believe your complaints either because I’m suffering without you. What I’m trying to do is show you I’m on your side and on your family’s side.” She angrily walks out of the office.

Over at the Santa Barbara Vineyard, Erica and Adolfo are discussing the irrigation system that would run through their property. Erica is telling her father how jealous she is of Luciana and feeling confused because she feels that every time Luciana asks for something Miguel just jumps right to it. Adolfo tries to comfort her and make her realize that Miguel is with her, not Luciana. Adolfo also tells her that the right thing to do is to support them (David’s vineyard) because it’s the decent thing to do. Adolfo also says that with the system running through their property, they could be seeing a lot more of Luciana. “Are you ready to accept that?” Adolfo says. Erica says she doesn’t want to end up feeling hurt over this. Adolfo then tells her, “Then you have to think this over very well.” Miguel comes in the office and wants to know if they have come to a decision about the irrigation plan. Erica gets on the phone and calls Luciana with her answer.

DisGrace comes to the patio where Lil is wearing a pair of sunglasses to hide her crying eyes. DisGrace doesn’t notice but is happy to report that she can still be David’s business partner. Since this crisis, he isn’t able to pay her off, so she remains a business partner in the wine reserve. She goes on and on and can’t figure out why Lil is not paying much attention and is not as happy as she is. “What’s the matter with you? Why are you crying? I thought you’d be as happy as I am about this and now I can stay close to David.” “Sorry”, says Lil, “I just don’t have the energy for this right now.” She goes on, “All these years, I have hated Marta for destroying my marriage. But in reality, it was my fault for loving a man like your father.”
Juan is over at Gut’s office and Gut tells Juan that Mark is in BIG TROUBLE. It’s no coincidence that he’s in the fruit/veggie business and immigrants were brought over in that kind of truck.

Detective Torres arrives at Juan’s apartment to talk to Perla. He asks about Carito, but Perla claims to know nothing and not know where she is. Torres warns her that it’s a crime to obstruct the law and wants the truth. However, Perla claims she knows NOTHING. Perla says whatever is going on, Carito is a good person and is innocent of any wrongdoing. She says that Mark is the one he should be investigating.

Torres asks if there is any way he can locate Carito. Perla again denies knowing where Cartito is and says, “Oh maybe she went to Vera Cruz or someplace like that.” He then asks for Mark is but Perla denies knowing where he is either. Torres then tells her that it’s best that she cooperate and help them. Then Juan comes through the door and Perla runs to him telling him that this detective is being a menace to her. Juan is angry and tells Torres, “Leave her alone in peace. We have already told you everything we know.” Torres leaves and says if they hear anything to please call him.

Perla continues crying to Juan about what happened. Juan has the bright idea to turn things around and point the finger at Mark so the detective won’t bother them anymore. “So what’s going to happen when Mark finds out that you betrayed him? What is he going to do?” “Probably nothing” says Juan. “And remember, I’m doing all this for you.” (Really???)

Outside in the vineyard, David and Luciana talk and David asks for forgiveness for how he reacted regarding Miguel earlier. Luciana says it’s ok, he had a right to feel that way. But let’s move on, she says she has some good news! Dave says, “Well I could use some good news, what is it?” Lu responds, “I think I have solved our water problems.” Dave says, “Really? How?” Lu then explains, “I got the idea to run some temporary piping through the SB vineyard. I talked to Erica and she and Adolfo are going to help us.” David is ecstatic and says, “Have I ever told you that you are the most intelligent woman in the world? Luciana, you are SAVING the vineyard!” They kiss and the music begins…

David apologizes then tells her, “I cannot be separated and live without you. But I’m struggling and fighting for you so that we can be together again one day.” Lu says, “I long for that day too when we don’t have to hide ourselves from the rest of the world and we have to be patient and take it a little at a time.”  David mentions the competition and his desire to win. They excuse themselves to go back to work with the line, “tiempo a tiempo” (or a day at a time).

Marta knocks on Lil’s door and comes in. She wants to discuss what Gut told them both. Lil has been lying on her bed crying and looks terrible. Marta wants basically to let bygones be bygones and move on for the sake of the children. Marta says “We shouldn’t be enemies because we were victims of the same man.” But Lil is adamant, she is never going to forgive Marta and they will always be enemies. Lil says, “You get paid to take care of the children.” Marta says, “Yes, I get paid for taking care of them, not for loving them. You are their grandmother and it’s your job to love them and to show them love. Stop being so wrapped up in yourself that you can’t see love when it’s right in front of you.” “Love?” says Lil…”You mean the kind of love that destroyed my marriage? Fernando may have been a scoundrel, but I will never forgive you. No, I don’t want that kind of love, so why don’t you just leave now.”

Dave calls Adolfo at his office to thank him for his help. He says that Luciana had a great idea and he’s grateful for their cooperation.  When Dave hangs up, DisGrace just comes barreling in like she owns the place. She is oh, so interested in the problems. Dave exclaims that Luciana had the idea to go to the SB vineyard and ask for them to allow temporary piping through their land. So DisGrace pops up and says, “Oh so she had to go over to see Miguel about this? I WONDER what she DID for him to achieve this?” Dave tells her, “get her mind out of the gutter, it wasn’t Miguel who had to approve this, it was the owner, Adolfo who gave permission. “So don’t be getting any ideas that aren’t so, Gracie!”
“Well”, DisGracie says, “Since we are going to continue to be business partners, you should keep me up to date on everything. You can count on me to help and be by your side. Tell me about the competition, how is that going?” Dave says, “I’m on my way over to talk with Susan about it.” DisGrace says, “Well let me go with you. And don’t you worry about yesterday’s dinner. We all waited for you, but the children are used to wanting to have all of us FAMILY together.”

So DisGrace follows Dave over to Susan’s office and tries to take over with her fine wine business managerial skills. She says to Susan, “So how is everything coming along?” Susan says, “Fine, I have ready to go the three samples that we are using in the competition.  But truthfully, I am very worried. These are things that should have been done already. David, we need you right here directing things. I know you have been busy with emergencies, but some things need to be taken care of by you.” DisGrace tried to shift blame, say Susan was exaggerating, and make it sound like Susan and the rest of the employees were behind on their work because they weren’t staying on top of things. So Dave says, “You are right Susan. And Grace, stop shift the blame and cause problems here the way you misspoke about Luciana and her idea to save the vineyard.” Susan then says, “But we need to start on this presentation or else this will all be for nothing.” Disgrace then retorts, “How is it possible that you are soooo behind on all this? Are you all not doing your jobs? And where is Luciana???” Susan looks at DisGrace and says, “She is over watering the vineyard!” Dave agrees that he needs to step in and help them out because they have to be on time for this competition.

Susan serves David a sample, he takes it and says, “It’s good, but I want to get Luciana’s opinion too.” DisGrace then says, “So Luciana is the expert and our opinions don’t matter?” Dave tells her that Luciana’s opinion IS important, after all she is an enologist. DisGrace is miffed and says, “But you want Luciana’s opinion for everything.” Susan then brings out the sketch of the labels. DisGrace grabs it out of Susan’s hand like it is for her and as though she has the authority to make changes. Susan grabs it back from DisGrace and hands it to David. Again he says, “Looks good, but I want Luciana’s opinion again.” DisGrace is CLEARLY not happy to hear this. Dave then congratulates Susan about her new living arrangement with Cesar. Then Susan says, “I want to thank you Grace for letting him go because Cesar is the best guy ever!” Then Susan asks David to come with her to the Cava.

Ramón and León come in with very large buckets and Marta follows them in to bring them some lunch. They talk about the work and Marta notices that DisGrace is in Susan’s office with David. Anyway, Ramón is happy that she and León have made up. She is happy too and hopes to make up with Luciana soon.

Later, Susan comes to see Lu as she takes a break in the employees’ house. She says that she can see that David still loves Lu. “Yeah, but how is it that he can hang out with DisGrace, but I can’t talk to Miguel. I can’t stand it when David gets that way.”

So the “family” along with Disgrace, Lil, Dave, and the kids are sitting around at dinner. DisGrace says she was working with Dave all morning and it’s just like it was when they were in Mexico. She suggest that they all watch movies together later. Bobby wants to watch a horror flick. Lil says, “I know a good horror movie. “It’s called, “When your children betray you.” Fer says, “So what’s this one about, Grandma?” Lil then says, “It’s about a daughter who mistreats her mother. She doesn’t appreciate all the sacrifice that her poor mother has done for her. It’s your aunt’s favorite!” Fer says, “Well Grandma, it doesn’t sound like something I would enjoy.” Dave says he probably will pass because he has too many pending things to work on. DisGrace says he needs to sit back and distract himself. “Well”, Dave says, “Maybe for a little while.”

Marta and Sonia are making dessert together. Sonia mentions that she is sometimes frightened of Lil, but other times feels sorry for her. But says Sonia, “Your life Marta, could be a movie or a novela!” Marta laughs.

The family sits in the den ready to watch the movie, but Marta comes in to tell David that Dr. Anderson wants to see him. So he leaves.

Anderson practically reads DisGrace’s playbook to him and tells Dave that it’s very important that Fer have her nuclear family and have Grace as her example of the mother role. Anderson says it’s good for Fer to be very attached to her aunt, but Dave disagrees that this is good. He tries to say that Fer needs to stay close to her father and her aunt. Dave is not happy with this and tells Anderson that he can find another therapist for his daughter.

When David leaves Anderson, DisGrace comes in to pay him and talk to him about how she wants Fer manipulated.  She wants Dave to forget about Luciana. Anderson doesn’t want to pressure Fer anymore because it can cause a lot of stress. DisGrace says, “I DON’T CARE! No you listen up, Anderson! I need for things to come out the way I want them to!” Anderson says, “Look this is a lot to ask. And you know that I lost my license to practice.” Grace says, “Oh well, but David will never find out because I’m not going to tell him. So what do you want Anderson? More money? Okay, I can give you more money if that’s what you want.” “Fine”, Anderson says,

Erica is pissed off about the situation with the vineyard workers at the SB vineyard and accuses Miguel of being so worried about Luciana and their vineyard that he’s ignoring his responsibilities. They argue and she says he knew nothing about the problems with the employees because he’s so distracted.

Later, Lu and León talk in the offices about what is going on. She tells him she is sad because she loves David, but right now can’t be together and it’s better that way. Her soul hurts thinking about the loves she feels for him and for his children. Marta walks in and says, “What’s the matter, daughter?” Lu turns away and says, “Nothing.” Marta says, “I came to talk to you about Lilian.” But Lu gets angry and says, “I really don’t want to talk about the things that are hurtful. It’s better that I leave.” Lu then walks out on her mom. Marta hopes that Lu will forgive her one day.

Gutierrez’s officer gives him a list of all the people who were associated with that place where the immigrants were found. Ahah! They find Mark’s name on the list. Juan comes by conveniently to tell Gut that he’s no longer Mark’s lawyer and that Mark is out of control.

In the kitchen, Lil tells Marta her grandchildren want popcorn to watch the movie. They talk about the kids and that Fernanda no longer wants to get near Marta. “That’s ok”, says Marta. “It’s because you are poisoning her mind. One day she will see reality.” Then Lil says, “What you need to do is talk to your own daughter. Tell her that she has nothing more to do here.” “Leave my daughter in peace”, says Marta. “The ones that should have nothing to do here are you and your disgraceful daughter. I know you feel really good about yourself right now because of Brian. But why don’t you ask him the truth about WHY he told us what he did.”

In the Cava, David has the wine samples for the competition when Lucian arrives. He wants to sample the wine with her. Sample #1 is analyzed as good. Then sample #2 is not so good, it needs to be aged more. Sample #3 is just perfect. It’s “muy suave” according to Luciana. Then David gets close to Lu, moving in for the kiss, when they hear footsteps, “Papa?” It’s Fernanda and she doesn’t look too happy to see her dad with Luciana. Tune in tomorrow…..

Cynthia, thanks so much for that excellent recap and screen caps.

Everyone was wearing blue last night..DisGracie, Erica, Dave. I like Erica's tops. That white and black one that she wore the other day looked as though she cut off the top part of her prom gown and decided to wear it with jeans.

I knew that DisGracie couldn't keep her hands off Dave. She got all handsy with him again last night. Why can't galans just say "Do not touch me."

Cynthia, perfect title. Agree with Susanlynn that your recap was sensational (as always).

Your screen shot of Lili was on point and reflected what was for me was poignant and very sad. Azela was magnificent. In the scene with Marta, her face mirrored raw pain. She was simply amazing - what a nuanced performance. For a few brief seconds, I truly felt for her.

There was not a lot to celebrate last night. Although I'm not quite clear on Erica and Miguel's last conversation, Erica's jealousy is palpable. Although she knew the situation when she pursued Miguel (let's be frank - that's what it was), what was a hindrance initially (Luciana) is now a major road block. She can't be sure of Luci's intent (neither can we), and Luci is omnipresent in Miguel's life. I'm not sure she can accept that.

The thieves indulge in turncoat treachery. I fear Juan's actions will cost someone dearly. Himself? Perla? Susan? Cesar? All of the above?

It was fun seeing Graciela's nervous finger twitching and crazed eyes. If Azela hadn't been so outstanding last night, she would have gotten much praise from me today.

It struck me that Luci hugs David just as she does Marta and Leon. She puts her arm around his shoulder, but there is no real hugging or embrace. It is as though she tries to keep her "personal space" when she and David are embracing. She just clearly is not into the kissing. What a shame...

I did enjoy Susan putting Gracie in her place...

So will David tell Fernanda the truth or side step things?

Cynthia, thank you so very much.

Diana

Kirby, I just read a comment you had posted from the previous recap regarding Mark:

"He is that overconfident 'my way or the highway' kind who is just asking for a pink slip. I am sure someJuan is filling his out as we speak".

You nailed it!

Diana

Cynthia, Cynthia. You write jewelry.Thank you a bunch
I like the new confidant Susan. It doesn't take much to make DisGrace's pressure cooker start giggling and whistling does it?

Sue: Is 'Gom' a word? Short O to rhyme with Tom? Because that is what DisGrace did to David last night. Sheezo woman, turn friggin loose for a second. Barnacle.! Her pencil work was pretty impressive.

"How to send a boyfriend back to his old girlfriend in 3...2...1... Actually not much has changed with Erika except a test drive in the streets of San Francisco, and she is still an insecure control freak. Erika, um...'member when you were stealing him from Luci? Fun and games with a fairly lax set of rules, ask Grace.

It was telling last night when Lil further began the realization that her daughter has no soul. Dr. Evil has a mini epiphany too when he discovered that DisGrace truly WOULD happily sacrifice FerBrats remaining sanity in .her quest to capture David. David seems to be starting to take my advice in that if something does not seem right it probably is NOT right with Dr. Evil. But these things with their glacial speed of development, I wonder how much loooonger it will be.

With Perla and NoJuan and SkidMark and Gut last night I wondered, in the wild why don't venomous snakes ever bite each other.?

kj

Thank you Cynthia!

"every time Luciana asks for something Miguel just jumps right to it"

When Erika has her heart ripped from her body it is her fault. Miguel and Luciana conspired to play on her sense of fairness to overrule her gut. They won and instead of staying on the down low Miguel proved her gut correct so I do not blame her for chewing his ass last night.

I do believe Luciana's first priority was to water the vines and not to see Miguel daily. I do believe Miguel views this an opportunity to impress and spend time with her and he will be encouraged to find she and David broke up.

It makes me uncomfortable watching uncle Dave and his niece.

Absolutely love every time Perla gets nervous and runs her mouth attempting to deflect but actually digging a trench leading to herself and Juan. Kudos to the actress.

Gracias, Cynthia.

How much money does it take to buy the kind of obedience that Dr Evil has been selling? For a fleeting moment he looked like he had a piece of conscience left, but that was easily killed by little green pieces of paper.

The day that Lillian fully realizes that DisGracie has no soul will be a very difficult one for her. That day may even come before she finds out that DisGracie killed Lisa. She may now be facing the consequences of how she has treated or ignored her grandchildren since their infancies and this is difficult enough. Although Marta didn't tell her this directly, that was her message. It's a little late in the day to make this up but Lillian can still have a relationship with FerBrat and Bobby but she has to make an effort. It will also not need to depend on DisGracie marrying David or even being in the house.

Lillian may be a vitch but she is no Ursula Santibanez.

Julie asked yesterday how Juan would know Mark. Well, scum always find each other sooner or later. Until he outed himself Juan kept the SkidMark in the background but now he firmly belongs in the same cesspool with him. Mark is slightly smarter than the average Sleazebag Villain but should come to the same end.

Oh and so now we do know that Dr E lost his license. SomeJuan should have as a matter of course discovered that. I say Cesar dropped the ball on this one. That ball is on the roadside in the weeds somewhere between his house and San Fran.

Urban didn't it appear that David has mounting doubts with his 'therapy with Dr. E? It seems that every session is shortened or at least ends with David with raised eyebrows or openly questioning Dr. Evil.

Why are Dave and Cesar not chatting about this? Cesar appears to maybe be a surgeon, obviously not a shrink, but it is the closest of anyone David knows. Wouldn't he say "You know, Cesar, something just strikes me as odd about our therapy. With Bobby and his therapist, we get along, he makes me see things I probably should have seen to begin with. But Dr. Anderson, it is just 'off'. I can't put my finger on it, but he makes me feel like an idiot, and I know better. A lot of the family stuff, borders on ludicrous."

Excellent point. I think that should be happening. But there are 43 remaining episodes and lots of time for Dr Evil to be exposed. Considering how this episode ended I think there will be a setback.

I'm surprised you're not watching Mujeres de Negro. That's as fast-paced as any novela could get and you'd love the police activity in it.

One of my favorite moments last night was DIsgracie trying to be included in the conversation between Susy and Dave. Somehow, holding a pencil indicates that you are part of the working environment. However, Susy was not having it. When DisGracie grabbed that sheet of paper out of Susy's hand, Susy grabbed it right back. Snap! The best part was DIsgracie throwing that pencil like a minispear after Dave and Susy walked out on her. Ha?DisGracie, your crazy is starting to show.

Urban. Good point. The truth is, I limit myself to one TN at a time, maybe two if I somehow inadvertently get interested in one I shouldn't. These stories and actors, and the Patio, are addictive in a cerebral kind of way. I caught myself sneaking a peek at La Piloto a couple times because of my interest in Aviation. Airplanes and Flight attendants in their uniforms, Aye Yie Ya.

yes, the truth seems to be dawning on LIlian. Her daughter has no compassion , no empathy, and no shame. When DisGracie is exposed as Lisa's killer, it may kill Lilian. How could a mother ,even a bad one ,deal with that knowledge?

Sue that DisGrace doesn't mind 'Butting In' does she? I am still astounded at David's ...um..let's be kind, 'Patience' with her.
Patience used in the same context as the mind set to face terminal cancer.

"Have I ever told you that you are the most intelligent woman in the world?" Really , Dave? Are you sure about that? No other woman is smarter that Lu? Eh, you might want to look around a bit because there are a whole lot of intelligent women. Well, whatever. This idea just absolutely turned Dave on because he grabs Lu's brainy head and gives her a kiss...And Irina tries her best not to push him back .

I have a theory about how JUan and Marked met. Marked was that frat bro who partied hard as soon as he arrived on campus and flunked out after that first semester. We probably all know at least one of those guys. The one I knew was a very smart guy who ended up in jail for drugs and spiraled downhill from there...A real waste of his obvious potential.

Thanks, Cynthia, for the great recap and screencaps that catch everyone's expressions so perfectly. Especially that last one of Fer.

I'm glad David's little fit of jealousy didn't have time to go very far, but there really was no reason for him to be jealous at all because there was no reason for Luciana to keep secret that she was going to the Olive Garden. In fact, given the geographical layout of the area, I'm confused as to why David didn't think of approaching Adolfo first.

"Adolfo also says that with the system running through their property, they could be seeing a lot more of Luciana." Why, does she travel through pipes?

Perla was funny with Det. Torres. She could not have looked or sounded more guilty.

It was also funny when Lil impatiently asked Gracie if she didn't have even a shred of compassion. From which parent would Gracie have inherited compassion?

Well Kirby, you were right on the money yesterday when you said that Juan was filling out Mark's pink slip right now. If Mark is smart (a big if), he will see this coming since Juan no longer needs him. He'll be ready.

Wow, Marta talking to Lilian. My opinion of Marta improved just a little bit.

I didn't like Susan's remark to Grace that while Susan had Cesar, Grace is still waiting. That was needlessly catty. Not that Grace didn't deserve it, but it's not a professional way to behave.

Poor Fer didn't get Grandma's little joke about the horror movie "When Your Children Betray You." Fernanda is irony-deficient.

If Luci and Miguel ever do get back together, it will be because Erika's possessiveness teaches Miguel where he went wrong with Luciana.

Diana, your remark about Luci/Irina trying to keep her "personal space" perhaps sheds some light on something weird I noticed about their kissing. He always grabs her head like it's a basketball. Maybe he is hauling her in so he can reach her lips!

Finally, I would think the medical community in Sonoma would be small enough that if someone lost his license, everyone would hear about it.

Susanlynn, I knew a lot of those guys... at least one of them is dead as a direct and predictable result of his pursuit of emptiness. I will never understand it.

"Fernanda is irony-deficient".

Side bar worthy Julie.

I have been so busy looking at Luci during her and David's non-interactive kissing scenes that I never noticed "He always grabs her head like it's a basketball".

I will be watching for that next time.

Diana

I fault Erika for being a fool. She knows Miguel doesn't care for her and soon as Luciana will have Miguel, he's gone. All Miguel has to do is ride this gravy train till it ends, blame it on Erika and strut off an injured party. I fault smarmy Miguel for taking advantage of how Erika feels to secure a place to live, work and play as he secretly advances his plan to reclaim Luciana.

Julie...Yeah, one has to wonder how Lisa managed to climb out if that gene pool and into the light.

When Juan called GUt was he setting a trap for GUt or for Marked? Is Marked going to see that bus that Juan plans to throw him under? Won't Marked just turn everything back on Juan? No honor among thieves..Or idiots

Julie...Ha...I know a lot of people who are "irony deficient"..Thank you for sending me off into the day with a smile on my face!

Julie...That head grab was because DAve lives LU's brain inside her head. Do guys really think women like that?

Loves not lives...

I don't think Juan was setting a trap for Gut. I'm not sure how that would work. But Juan seems confident that Skidmark won't be able to turn it back on him. He told Gut that he doesn't have a record, but Mark does. And it appears that Mark did most of the heavy lifting in their misdeeds, which means that most or all of the evidence will point to him.

Except for Perla's phone. Juan forgot about that. That's going to be a problem.

Thank you Cynthia - I got distracted last night and missed a lot although I had it on, so the recap is very helpful!

Gracie and her penchant for grabbing office supplies, love it.

David totally should've vetted any prospective psychiatrist for his child rather than relied on the Succubi to find him one. And I agree with Susan, he has slacked on competition prep.

Thanks, Cynthia. Great job.

I enjoyed a confident Susan not taking DisGrace's crap during the meeting, but ITA the bit about Cesar was personal and out of line. Plus, I'm not so sure that DisGrace couldn't turn Cesar's head again if she tried.

Now that Marta has faced the sad fact about Fernando making a fool of her and she tried to bury the feud with Lil, I vote she is now good enough for Ramon.

I can't feel sorry for Erica or blame Miguel. Erica offered him a job (and he is a good worker), Erica brought him homemade sandwiches in the office, Erica sexed him in the office. If she were my friend, I'd say take a break and see if he takes any initiative on his own to hold onto you.

I wonder, was Miguel really neglecting his duties, or was Erika just picking a fight with him? It doesn't sound like Miguel to neglect his duties. He'd stay up all night trying to catch up rather than be accused of slacking off.

Niecie: Don Fernando just was NOT that into either Marta or Lillian because he was a PLAYER: don't hate the player, hate the game!

Erika will have to do more than that in order to keep Miguel.

Dy77: Just keep Graciela away from those office supplies because if she gets one of those, somebody's going to get whacked!

Julie: Juan covering his tracks to make sure his ties to OJ Mark don't come back to him indeed.

I guess the basketball-head-grab thing is supposed to show passion, and I get that in the novela sense, but here it just continues to highlight how GS is seemingly more active in said passionate scenes while Irina Baeva...is still trying to get there?

And while Marta trying to reach out to Lilian was okay (if a wee bit sledgehammery), Lilian's riposte that Marta was still a willing participant in the destruction of her marriage and she wouldn't indulge her in trying to soothe her guilt might be one of the most singly apt things anybody has ever said on this fakakta show. Even if you quantify it as Lilian still fully in the throes of trying to deal with Fernando's betrayal anew. The only things that came close to that last night were Lilian stating that Graciela had no soul (CC3 said "compassion," but hey) and Graciela almost literally brushing that off, and Graciela's random "I need a staple remover, dammit" finger-twitching during her chat with David and Susan.

OTOH, Perla's initial trying to put everything Juan and Mark have done exclusively on Mark has led to Juan finally beginning to push Mark under the bus. Points for neatness, Show.

CC1 also said "compasion."

"Graciela's random "I need a staple remover, dammit" finger-twitching".

Great Bill...

As much as I enjoy every single comment and reading what everyone has to say (which always adds to the fun), I just love all the wry remarks that are made here daily.

I wish I could point every single one out, but as I can't, just so everyone knows, these really make my day.

Diana

Thanks for your comments everyone.

Susanlynn: I like your idea about how Juan and Mark most likely met. There was one episode where Juan said that Mark was an old school or college buddy of his. So it could have been as you described, that Mark partied, drank too much, took drugs and ended up having to drop out of college. So Juan and Mark could have even been dorm roommates or something. I also agree that Juan could be setting Mark up to get rid of him. Since Juan is going to Gutierrez and saying stuff like, “Mark is out of control now”, it sets in motion that things could get pretty interesting now. I believe Mark carries a gun, doesn’t he? I can almost see him trying to take on the police, which of course would be a very stupid move on his part. Either that will land him in jail for a long time or the police will have to shoot him in self defense. But then again, maybe he will escape and go to Colorado. Didn’t Juan and Mark talk about him going to Colorado one time? Or is that where they took the “immigrants”?

Kirby and Urban: Yes, Dr. Evil Anderson seems to be realizing that this kind of manipulation is harmful. But he goes along with it for the right price because he’s lost his ethics and money buys everything for him. Since he lost his license, he really can’t practice anymore, so I guess he’s lost his income. I really hope Cesar does look up Dr. Evil’s credentials and finds out he has a revoked license.

Julie: Perla sure looked like the cat that ate the canary! She certainly doesn’t lie very well. She kept digging herself deeper into a hole. It was funny to watch.

Colorado is where Mark sent the immigrants.

Lovely recap Cynthia. Discrazy is evil
To the core. She don't care if fer's
Already messed up brain gets even more
Scrambled than it already is, just so "it" can get what "it" wants.
I hope Cesar checks into the Dr.nut's
Background. He ain't even a real Dr no

Wouldn't be really weird if marta and
Lil become bffs. Not gonna happen. But
What if it did? Where would that leave gut? Thats a whole new storyline and
There's probably no time for it. Plus
The storylines that are here now got a lot Goin on.
Mark already threatened Juan about messing With his business. He wouldn't
Think twice about killing him or perla
He's probably got some blood under his belt anyway. He crazy! SusyQ dodged a bullet.

Ok, Thank you Cynthia Hampton!

He ain't even a real Dr no
More. He don't deserve proper english.

Nina, you're cracking me up! lol

Nina: "Where would that leave gut? Thats a whole new storyline and there's probably no time for it."

Hmm. I think there is time for it, and it would be very interesting. I like the idea!

Nina said "Where would that leave the Gut?" Exhausted.if he plays his cards right with these two aging bimbos.

I have my own brand of writing in colloquialisms, but I am going to try to learn Nina's as much as I can.

Nina I first thought you were writing limericks but it is not that, just better.
Every time one of your little short phrase creations shows up you have us howling.

They could put Perla in an interrogation room and she would spill the whole enchillada in an hour.

She already sees that there might be a remote possibility of her and NoJuan getting in a teensy bit of trouble. Skid on one side and El Gutt on the other.

OK where was I. I just did a 'trial run' we will call it with the washer. You know how you set it off and forget to return with clothing? #forgeteverythingexceptcaray

Even if NoJuan can set SkidMark up, and get him captured and locked up before Skid can kill him, Skid could still implicate NoJuan.

OK, Mark, we know you are not smart enough to pull all this off alone, so who helped you?

NoJuan. I'm telling you.

So Lillian's deceased husband's name was Fernando SMITH?

Kirby, Fernando's last name was Palacios. That is the name DisGrace uses, so I'm assuming that was Fernando's last name. Lilian must use her maiden name. Or the name thing is being done like they do it in Mexico. Women don't change their surnames when they get married.

Whether Lil and Marta bond or not, I doubt that either one of them will be giving Gut any nookie soon. That was the impression I got.

But,,..but.. Julie...Gut was just the messenger. They should both 'thank' him. Together would be even nicer. :-)

Seriously I believe we are supposed to be seeing the new and improved Gut who is truly regretful of the things he has done and is trying to make things right.

They refrained from shooting the messenger. That was their thanks!

And I am not at all sure that he helped things. He seemed to make them both more miserable and it doesn't look as though they will stop fighting. But maybe a sip of the contest-winning "Amor" wine will soften everyone's heart.

Kirby...thanks for that image of a menage a trois. As to the washing machine incident, let's just say that you were doing the annual washing of the washing machine. That could be a thing.

I read my speaking class a lecture about how last names were created. They often came from the person's occupation..Cook, Tailor, Baker ,Smith. Every language has a form of Smith. German= Schmidt..Italian = Ferrera..Spanish = Herrera and I think that Arabic is Haddad. That is why these names are so common.

I've put clothes in the washing machine and then walked away without turning it on. It's a fine way to conserve water.

I've also microwaved something and forgotten about it. (It's not so appealing when I find it still waiting for me the next day.)

I cannot blame Caray for such things, except when I'm recapping. Then I REALLY cannot multitask.

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
This wine is muy suave, Dave,
And so are you. #feelinginspired

Oh Susan nooo nooo noo I was thinking they could invite him over for wine and cupcakes. :-)

Smith Jones Taylor, Umm then WHAT is a a a johnson? Did they just use only verbs?

Kirby..last names are based on nouns. Another common source is place names..Rivers, Hill. Johnson would be patronymics...son of John..like Petersen, Stevenson, O'Rourke, MacDonald which all mean son of.

Wine and cupcakes sounds like a pretty good combination.

As much as I like Irina, she does seem to have one eye on the time clock. And not only with David, most to the time except:
1. Conmiserating with Soo-Sahn
2. Chewing someJuan a new one or telling someJuan exactly how it is gonna BE.
She seems to shine then, like she did in P&P. She was golden when she was man-stealin or otherwise making her Father or Sister miserable.

Apart, Lil and Marta can only feel sad about Gut. But together, they can kick his ass. (And have wine and cupcakes afterwards)

OK Thanks: Son of someJuan named John narrows it down a bit. :-) I'm only related to those on Earth, Mars, and Jupiter. I already suspected I wasn't Royalty. :-)

And Miss GreenErika: Lordy, how different it is playing defense rather than offense. Same helmets, same players, same field, but not so much fun when someJuan else has the ball? My, my, Erika, careful what you wish for.

Buddies have sent thank you notes to other men who have removed a miserable shrew from their lives.

Marta and Lil can just drop it now. They are the kind who are still pissed about the Civil War.
Neither of them have a leg to stand on now. Yes things were less than on the up and up. But Lil, he didn't love you to begin with, and Marta was in all probability not the only one.

Yes Marta did a bad thing, and she has paid for it many times over. You girls are not going to get a lot more mileage out of this one. stfu

Kirby Johnson-So lillian's deceased
Husband name is Fernando SMITH?" Kirby
That had me laughin out loud. Maybe one of his parents was spanish and one
Was American, or he was adopted and they wanted him to have something of his own origin so they named him Fernando SMITH".LOL,I'm sorry but that was funny the way you put it kirby.

O ok, so Smith is her maiden name! Ok.
Cleared that up. Thank you much.

OK this is on my phone and everything looks normal. I will try my tablet in a minute.

This post is on AT&T tablet. Lets see if it works.

Well I can't help. T-Mobile, Spectrum and AT&T work fine for me. I even went to Google thru Chrome rather than a bookmark to get to the site and could not see the 404 error.
