Juanita: The employees at Sandoval Construction are getting out of dodge because law enforcement agencies are searching for AG in the aftermath after TV News Outlets are broadcasting the murder & AG's other crimes.

Deb: AG still obsessed with Saul. I noticed Matamoros (Teo 2.0) brought a sniper to Saul & Monica's wedding.... Uh Oh!

My personal thoughts:

1.) Daniel Llamas getting out of dodge. Surprised AG let him live.

2.) Regina being comforted by IsaBrat, who found out from classmates in school about AG having Felipe whacked.

3.) TV News Outlets broadcasting on the numerous crimes of AG including the video Braulio likely sent to multiple people of AG whacking Daddy Cabral.

4.) Danna (one of AG's personal secretaries at Sandoval Construction) tells AG: GOODBYE FELICIA!

5.) Law enforcement agencies in the DF as searching everywhere for AG. Plus, there's APB Alerts for AG.

6.) Feeling cornered, AG tells Matamoros (Teo 2.0) to drive her out of the DF.

7.) Monica finds out about AG whacking Daddy Cabral as Saul watched the video & goes off on Diego, Lydia, Margarita & Marcos (whom earlier made a pact in keeping it from Monica finding out).

8.) Earlier in the episode, Saul & Monica getting freaky in another sex escapade: came very close to showing Monica's breasts & vagina if the bed-sheets weren't covering them.

9.) Matamoros calling Voodoo Buddy Lucio about something.

10.) Jorge & the DF Police Officers show up at AG's mansion. Monica & Saul barge in!

11.) Weeks later in Veracruz, Matamoros tells AG about the wedding festivities for Monica & Saul. Voodoo Buddy Lucio warns AG don't do anything drastic, but it seems AG is hell-bent on upping the ante again.

12.) Super Hero Cop Karen, Valeria, Lopez, FAKE NEWS Leticia attend the wedding including Lydia, Diego, IsaBrat, Regina, Dr. Adolfo & his new GF, Margarita & Marcos including Mama Aguirre & the Good Guys.

13.) Valeria's pregnancy really showing BIGLY! Surprised her water hasn't broke yet.

14.) The wedding ceremony begins.

15.) Across the venue, there's an open window in some old residence: Matamoros opening up the sniper case as AG prepares to Upping the Ante once again!

This doesn't look good!

I keep wondering why they decided to hold the wedding in Veracruz. (Of all the juke joints in the world....)

Mónica and Saúl were far too happy in this episode. Such happiness is fine in the final episode, but in the next-to-last, it made me very nervous, even before I saw that AG plans to disrupt the wedding Big Time.

Daniel tells AG he won't help her to destroy herself with her killings and revenge, besides it's over, but he will love and protect her, he wants them to go away and start anew, and moves in for a kiss, she brings her gun up under his chin and moves him off, never do that again, don't ever touch me, and be gone, forever.

Diego/Lydia/Margarita/Marcos watch the video of Rafael's death, and on to Braulio who adds that AG also killed Guillermo, buried him at a construction site, and sent Regina's husband to jail, among other horrible things she did, and he was her right hand man, Diego was the best thing he ever did in this life and he entrusts him with bringing AG to justice.

Lucio also pleads with AG to leave, her revenge is over, it's her destiny (as he has seen it) to start life anew, and you don't want to go against your destiny.

Saul and Monica return to his place where they spend a romantic night together, and in the morning when she awakes he is gone, nope, just out on the couch having coffee, and as they sit together he babbles about various things before asking her to marry him, hmm, she doesn't answer him but talks about not needing anything else but to be with him in this place without time, he asks forgiveness, she walks away, teasing, and runs back, of course I will marry you.

they tell Azucena and Magda who are elated, and then rush off to tell Lydia, who have been up all night trying to figure out what to do with Braulio's video, not the police, AG owns them, and decide to post on the internet, and spend most of their time hiding any tracks back to Diego's computer, they know what AG is capable of including harming their friends and families, it's done, and the four make a pact never to tell, and in rushes Monica.

Leticia is with Valeria when she gets a call about a video, she watches, the father of her child raping AG and now dead, she is shaken.

AG hasn't been answering her home phone because the press is after her about Braulio but on the way to the office she takes a call from Tania, everyone's leaving because of the video, what? AG watches it, Matamoros wants her to flee, but AG can't see abandoning her empire.

Lopez calls Saul at Lydia's place with all around, so Saul takes a look at the video, Monica can tell something is up, grabs his phone and also sees, this is her father raping her mother, the woman who brought her into the world, she can only think of helping her, and it looks like her guilty friends are going to spill on who leaked the video but Diego steps up and says he understands what it is like, we did not choose our parents.

Isabela comes home to comfort Regina, they saw the part where AG confessed to arranging Felipe's murder.

AG sees she is all over the news and even on the tv's in the stores, she decides to flee, Matamoros is on it, calls Lucio at the mansion and has him collect all the money and stuff he can grab from the safes and to get out before the police show up.

Monica is rushing to AG with Saul driving, she calls and tells her she understands and wants to help her, AG is touched, then Saul gets on the phone and as an attorney advises her as the best choice to turn herself in, Saul is with you, and AG goes blind, hangs up.

Monica rushes into the mansion thinking AG is hiding in the bat cave, the police are there, and AG isn't, hmmm, none of the candles are burning.

2 weeks later

in Veracruz, Regina has shown Monica her roots, they have visited her grandparents graves, but it is time to put the past behind, this is her wedding day.

AG is also visiting Veracruz and the docks where she lost it all, remembering Cesar and how things were before, Lucio is with her still prompting her into a new life, Matamoros is there too, does he have the venue of the wedding, she can only see how they wanted her in jail out of the way, the wedding proves it.

the cast all meets for an outside wedding, Karen has gotten her job back, her boss got nervous over all the times he was helping AG, Leticia has decided not to go back to hers, she wants to try something new, the bride arrives, Azucena tells Monica she is not giving her hand way alone, Lazaro and Yesenia are doing so as well, and we even see Adolfo with a cute date, the ceremony starts with all holding hands.

AG has a ringside seat at a second story window in an adjacent house, Matamoros puts the sniper rifle down on the table...

Any sane person would have considered it, given Braulio’s weird karma,

However, in retrospect, His demise has put her on chill-/dejelo’, put her- on-pause, between Braulio getting killed by the furies and her cutting Rat-fael’s throat…

Her enemies are dying and she’s good with it, hysterical/malicious intensity –wise, she has taken it down a notch??

Funky diva ,has decided to let Daniel, leave and live his life, she let him brush her lips, then she placed a Glock under his chin and told him , that she’d clock his ass, if he touches her again, consistency is her style, alongside with her, her anger and rancor…

Muchas gracias, deb and Halimacandy, for the terrific recap and commentary. I confess that I found the episode itself much less interesting than what the two of you said. I suppose from a writer's point of view, the choice of Veracruz for the wedding makes sense, brings everything full circle, etc., etc. And yes, it makes sense for Regina to show Mónica her roots and her grandparents' graves. But the wedding? Regina, Mónica, and Saúl all know what Veracruz signifies to AG, and thus how foolhardy it would be to hold the wedding there. Why wave the red flag in front of the bull?

Halimacandy, I laughed out loud at "Saul never would have made it with her as momma –in-law."

Wow! I come here after a great busy weekend, and find THREE takes on Friday's episode. All informative and funny! Thanks Deb, Halimacandy, and Steve!

Anon 9:43- No, Rafael did not get that far. He tried to rape AG again, but she slit his throat even before he could get either of their jeans off.

Well, onward to the final episode. I won't shed a tear (well, except for Azucena) if AG succeeds in killing Saul. I too was annoyed that he had to jump all into AG and Monica's convo, causing AG to bolt. But AG is being incredibly dumb right now, focusing all her ire on Saul and Monica, instead of figuring out how to start a new life somewhere else now that she's a fugitive. She must have plenty of cash in offshore accounts.

Somehow, I can't work up any enthusiasm for Saul and his "love" for Monica. In a very short time span, he romanced and fell into mad and passionate love with three different women.

If Saul and Monica get and remain married, I wonder how loud their future arguments will be, given the volatile and unbridled nature of both of them.

¡ Hola chicos! I’ve been lurking on this board for a while now, and enjoying your comments on La Doña. Hats off to Steve Boudreaux, Vivi in DC, Juanita, Halimacandy, and deb for sticking with this one. I haven’t participated much as I was completely behind. At one point, I was over 60 capítulos behind. I went into this weekend “only” 6 behind, so I was able to catch up for the big grand finale tonight. The bright spot is that I got to skip the “boring” scenes in the court rooms, hospitals, and some of the lesser character arcs. Also, I was able to cruise right past all the torture scenes, so that was a definite benefit. Because of this, I may not be as tired of La Doña as some of you. However, I was always at least a few weeks behind the discussions (sometimes a few months!) and could not participate. I did enjoy all the conjecture out on the patio of lowered expectations. Thanks for all you guys do. I just wanted to pop in a send a note to the team, as I’m sure there a lot of us that just pop in now and then. For all of us lurkers, thanks for your comments and recaps (and lists of Body Counts).

Perhaps, because of being able to skim parts of the less thrilling aspects of this one, I have really enjoyed it. I cannot believe how far they pushed this one past where I thought it would end. I would normally expect a show like this to end when Monica found out her real birth mother, or when all the Monkeys were revealed, but this one barreled past those events. I was constantly shaking my head the last month, or so, of capítulos going, “where is this one going to end?”. So now we know … it’s all down to the wedding drama (of course!). I hope for a happy ending (as Monica has suffered so much), but, at least of Altagracia, it seems unlikely.

I think this is the first telenovela where I’ve seen Aracely Arámbula perform. I’ve enjoyed her (scraggily wig and all) antiheroe. She has taken a very awful character, and if not made her likable, at least made her interesting. I’ve enjoyed David Chocarro’s performance as the manwhore Saul. It was frustrating to watch his character be led by his lower parts, but unfortunately it’s true (sometimes). To me it was interesting to see his flaws with all the good he tried to do for abused women (quite ironic, if you ask me). Danna Paola is sure beautiful and has a star presence, but she has gotten a bit screechy for me lately. However, it is nice to see the young protagonist be so scrappy and capable. All and all, this was a fun one from a cast perspective, José Galeano was a bit two dimensional as Braulio, but certainly good to look at!

Mike- I'm so glad you caught up with us and emerged from lurkdome to chat with us. Finale discussions are so much more fun with more people! I have to admit that since I got back from vacay a few weeks ago, my enthusiasm for this tn has waned (and I have been remiss in recapping). But I'm excited to see how this all gets wrapped up tonight, like you are.

Yes, it's been a while since I engaged with the board...I think the last time was Reina de Corazones (of course, I loved it) or En Otra Piel (Liked it)! However, I'm usually around checking on my Telenovelas. I made it through Tierra de Reyes (pretty bad, but good eye candy :) ). I missed most of 2015 (on Telemundo, but hate watched a couple on Univision), I tried to get into Bajo el Mismo Cielo, but dropped out after a week or so (I really wanted to Quien es Quien, but didn't have time). I did Silvana Sin Lana (which was pretty awful - with truly annoying characters). I can't get into the Narco trafficers, but Guerra de Idolos looks good. However, after La Dona and Silvana, I think I need a break. Maybe something will spark my interest later this year. I'll post a couple of comments on my thoughts for La Dona for the finale on the new page for this week.

@LXV - Yes, Los Miserables looked interesting. I remember watching some of it around the others I was watching at the time. However, I never quite caught on to what was happening. I do love the source material (and I think it would be interesting with a female protagonist), as it was one of my favorite books from High School era. I think that I was tied up in too many other TNs at the time, I see it was the year that Reina, Tierra, and En Otra Piel was on. I remembering that I was so angry with the way Telemundo handled (or butchered) Reina, that I needed some time away from them. I still don't understand why they can't put the full episode on in the middle of the night when they "condense" them like they did with Reina? I guess it comes down to finances...perhaps they don't have to pay as much if they don't broadcast the whole thing? Who knows, but it is very disrespectful to their viewership. I'll have to catch Los Miserables sometime...

Which leads me to a question that I've been meaning to ask the board...Is there a reputable place to watch Telanovelas when they aren't being broadcast on regular TV? I don't like UTube, and some of the other sites seem to be phishing expeditions with lots of potential to load malware, etc. to computers. I remember when I was trying to watch the whole episodes of Reina this was an issue. Any suggestions?
