• Ryan goes in for the kiss but Laustela tells him she is going to see Paloma and leaves.
• Calao informs Asdrubal that they rescued Laustela and dropped her off where he instructed but it was with her friend because she never let her go. Asdrubal asks if anyone saw them but Calao confirmed no one did but ICE will likely investigate, especially because they released at least a dozen illegal immigrants. Asdrubal doubts it but either way they let them escape close to the Mexican border so someone is sure to catch them. He tells Calao to turn on the radio or the TV so he can sure and leaves.
• Laustela goes to visit Paloma, who welcomes her with open arms, and hugs her tightly. Paloma wants to know where she was but Laustela tells her it doesn’t matter because she’s back and loves her very much. Paloma loves her and Rosario very much too; they hug again.


• At Furia, Mercy curses Walter for having created Danilo but Joe reminds her that Danilo is now part owner of Furia and has the right to choose his position. Mercy wonders what would’ve happened if Danilo would’ve have seen her and Joe together and Joe asks if she regrets it. Mercy chides him for brining that up now, especially because she’s worried Danilo may say something to Ryan, who will hate her forever. She asks Joe to think of a way to keep Danilo in check for the time being but Joe suggests she tell Ryan the truth, even if it ends Joe’s marriage. Mercy shakes her head and Joe tells her that they will always be at Danilo’s mercy if they don’t come clean; today was only the beginning of a sure-to-be long list of demands. Just then, Genesis comes in with Laustela’s bag and asks if Mercy wants to give it to her. Mercy thinks Genesis should and wonders if Laustela will take another three years to come back like last time.
• Rosario tells Laustela that she was worried sick and even demanded Ryan do something to help find her. Laustela thinks Ryan was also worried sick but Rosario doesn’t want to hear it; she told him that she was worried about her but he suggested that she had gone to party and spend with Don Chayo. Laustela is shocked to know Ryan thinks she’s a wench who would leave her daughter alone to go party and chides herself for believing in him again. Rosario asks her to calm down lest Paloma realize something is wrong.
• Joe shows Danilo his new office but Danilo thinks it’s an office fit for the custodian and not the co-owner of Furia. He then asks Joe to send someone to help him decorate and explains that his first order of business would to bring in a new artist who will pave the way for the rest. Danilo plans to use the festival scandal to their advantage but Joe reminds him that he is a newbie and doesn’t know anything about Furia, especially the fact that they have no available capital to invest in new artists at the moment. He goes to leave but Danilo stops him and confesses that he expected to have money to spend in his hands but Joe tells him that the value of Furia is in it’s in reputation. He cautions Danilo that if he hoped Furia was a short-term piggy bank, he was sorely mistaken, at least for the time being. He leaves and Danilo curses his luck.
• Morgana goes to a gynecologist, who tells her she is in her prime to have children but they will need to wait for her test results to see what the best method of conception will be. Morgana smiles and explains that a child will give her all she has ever wanted. The gynecologist tells her the results will be ready that same afternoon and leaves her to get dressed.
• Laustela, freshly showered and changed, finds Ryan by the pool. She thought he was excited to see her but how could be if he thought she gone to party with Don Chayo. Ryan doesn’t deny it and Laustela tells him that, as soon as she finds an apartment, she’s out of his house and tries to leave. Ryan stops her and apologizes but Laustela is tried of his apologies. She tries to leave again but Ryan stops her.
• Danilo goes to visit Asdrubal and reveals that Furia isn’t liquid. Asdrubal smiles and asks Talisman to throw him a wad of cash. He tells Danilo that if he needs money, all he needs to do is ask. Danilo thinks he doesn’t need a company if he already has everything already but Asdrubal reminds him that he has everything because he has Furia. He tells Danilo that even though his real business is money laundering, they need him to make Furia successful so they can launder the money through it. Danilo understands and tells them that he is in charge of new artists at Furia but Calao teases him by saying he should put him to be his servant if he’s so good at laundering money. Danilo goes to attack him but Talisman stops them. Asdrubal calms them down and tells Danilo that El Dorado is very happy with his work and his passed his final exam (Tato’s festival). He announces that Furia’s Money Laundering Begins Now!
• Ryan knows there is nothing he can say to justify the fact that he thought she was sleeping with Don Chayo and Laustela reprimands him for believing in gossip. She knows that is the first thing people thought but she never thought he would. Ryan apologizes again and she admits that he knows little about her though that doesn’t justify his way of thinking. Ryan nods but he knows the most important thing about Laura Oviedo: she’s strong and smart and capable and willing to sacrifice everything for her loved ones and for love. He caresses her face and tells her that her smile and her eyes have melted his heart and reveals that Paloma showed him how to wish for something. Laustela asks him to show her and he asks her to close her eyes. She obliges and he asks her to make a wish before rubbing his nose against hers. When she opens her eyes, he reveals that his wish is to never be far away from her because he now knows how to love. She smiles and he goes in for the kiss.
• The gynecologist reveals that Morgana can’t have children because she suffers from Premature Ovarian Failure and no longer produces eggs. Morgana tells him that he must have done something wrong because she has been pregnant before, many times. The doctor explains that her uterus is also badly damaged and the abortions she had done were not done correctly. Morgana wants a second opinion and tells the gynecologist that she will be back, pregnant, and show him how wrong she was. She storms out.
• Laustela moves back from Ryan’s kiss and asks him to look at her and realize she is not the woman is in love with; he is just confused. Ryan shakes his head and tells her that he hasn’t felt anything like their love in a while but Laustela reiterates that their “love” is a lie and she’s only there because he needed her. Ryan nods and tells her that he can’t imagine not seeing her again. Laustela nods but thinks it’s only because he thinks she’s the real Estela. Ryan shakes his head again and tells her that she is Laura and she is one of a kind. Laustela doesn’t believe him and tells him that he is looking for Estela in her because she can’t forget her. Laustela asks him to not try and convince her that he loves her because she knows he doesn’t, deep down.
• Talisman pours Danilo a drink as he explains that his band will be the perfect launch pad for their money-laundering scheme. Asdrubal tells him that he will need El Dorado’s help to do so and then reveals that he has a gift for him: a gun that comes with a hitman, Calao. Both begin to complain but Asdrubal tells them that Calao is going to follow Danilo around all day and be at his beck and call.
• Laustela tells Ryan that as soon as she gets the money from the festival, she is gone. Ryan worries that the men who kidnapped her may come back but Laustela thinks it’s only a matter of time till they realize she’s not Estela. Ryan asks if she’s willing to risk Paloma’s life in the mean time but Laustela reminds him that it’s her problem and she hopes to shed Laustela’s identity soon because she’s tired of running and paying for Estela’s mistakes. Ryan wonders who she will be then and asks for an opportunity but Laustela reminds him that they don’t have a future because she can never reveal that she lied about her identity, especially when she committed perjury. Ryan asks her what he needs to do to prove he loves her and only her. Laustela asks him to do nothing because are plans are the same and storms off.
• That night, Danilo arrives at Morgana’s room. He tells her that they have some unfinished business to take care of but she chides him for not having enough money to pay for an apartment, despite being an heir to Furia Productions. He closes the door and tells her that his ranch is hers but Morgana reminds him that he sleeps in Ryan’s house and she has to sleep in a fleabag motel. Danilo hold her and asks her to give him a child and then they will talk about the rest, especially now that Laustela and Ryan are on the outs. She smiles and they begin to kiss.
• Ryan is thinking in his room when Mercy comes in and tells him that they have pending conversation about Pedro Carrillo. Ryan asks her to come in but wishes he could forget that name. Mercy sits down, thanks Ryan and tells him that the fact that he didn’t turn in the medallion demonstrates the faith and trust he has in her. She then explains that a month before Pedro died, he was looking for Walter because he wanted payment for his help in creating the conception of Furia Productions. Ryan asks her to explain herself.
• Chavalin tells Leticia that he was renting out the space before but they can talk it over in the mean time. Leticia tells him she will only stay one night and will look for her husband tomorrow and he will pay him for his trouble. Laustela comes and hugs Leticia, who tells her that she is doing better, thanks to their help.
• Mercy to Ryan reveals that, when they were young, Walter and Pedro both had an idea for a production studio, specialized in regional music, but it was Walter alone who founded Furia. When Pedro found out Walter was sick, he tried to take advantage of the situation and she went to visit Pedro so that Walter wouldn’t have to deal with it.
• Mercy remembers when she met with Pedro Carrillo in a dark street. Pedro was pissed because he had told Walter about his idea for a global production house, specialized in regional music, and she knew it well. He thought he should receive some compensation for his ideas but Mercy reminds him that he had nothing to do with Furia’s success and only focused deals and connections with organized crimes. She chides Pedro for trying to take advantage of the situation and Pedro congratulates her for confronting him head-on and having for guts than Walter ever did. He realizes that she has always been this way, even before Walter took her from him, but Mercy reminds him that he now knows what she is capable of. Pedro reminds her that he is capable of many things too and asks her to please give him what he wants, in the name of what they had in the past. He then confesses that he is broke and Mercy, taking pity on him, gives him the medallion to sell. Pedro shakes his head and tells her he doesn’t want it because he gave it to her but Mercy puts it in his hand anyway. He throws it down on the floor, grabs Mercy’s face and calls her ungrateful before leaving. Mercy picks up the medallion and watches him leave.
• In reality, Mercy tells Ryan the whole truth, except for the ending. She instead tells Ryan that Pedro was desperate for money and ripped the medallion off her neck to sell it. She took it back immediately because it was one of the best memories she had of Walter and was not willing to lose it. She then explains that a week later, Walter died, and then Pedro was found murdered a few days later. Ryan was arrested shortly after that and the rest is history. Ryan now knows why she didn’t tell him about her meeting with Pedro but how it was found with Pedro’s body.
• Chavalin tells Laustela that there is a building close by where she can stay; it belongs to a friend of his that owes him a favor, Laustela just needs to tell him when she needs it. She tells him that the earlier the better and thanks her. Chavalin nods and tells her that it is a modest building, compared to the mansion she’s currently living in, but Laustela reminds him that she’s always lived humbly.
• Mercy hypothesizes that Pedro might have taken the medallion from her later or someone may have stolen from the house to frame her but she was lucky that he found it. Ryan thinks everything is too twisted and asks who would want to frame her. Mercy shrugs because she’s incapable of harming anyone but Ryan doesn’t want to think about it anymore for now. He does wonder if she knew Estela from before but Mercy shakes her head; she knew he had a child but didn’t know it was a girl, much less Estela, under his murder. He asks if that’s why she never met Mercy or Walter, and Mercy assumes so, but it’s part of the past either way. She only wanted to tell him he truth so that he wouldn’t doubt her any more. Ryan nods and then Mercy leaves after thanking Ryan.
• The next day, Leticia brings Chavalin a plate of breakfast as a thank you for all his help. He loves it and she smiles before confessing that it’s the first night she has felt safe since she crossed the border. Chavalin tells her that she will learn soon enough how things work in the US, though it won’t be easy.
• Laustela gets Paloma ready before going to Furia and proposes they go for a walk when she comes back from work and then start packing as they won’t live in Ryan’s house for much longer. Paloma doesn’t want to go but Laustela asks her to go to the bathroom for her hair tie as Rosario comes and tells Laustela that she knew it would be difficult. She asks if Laustela is sure about leaving, especially after all that Ryan told her, but Laustela nods and asks her to please help convince Paloma that it’s for the best. Paloma comes back and shows them how cute she looks.
• Leticia asks Chavalin where he comes from and he reveals that he is from El Salvador. Leticia nods and Chavalin explains that his people are good to those who are good with them and Leticia thanks him again for his help. She didn’t think she would find Salvadorians in LA but she’s glad he’s there. She than asks him for another favor: to please show her how to get to her husband’s work because she has no idea where his house is. Chavalin asks if his husband is legal and Leticia shakes her head; Chavalin proposes to help him get documents too that way they all win.
• Laustela comes down, surprised Augustin isn’t waiting for her, and Mercy suggests she talk to Ryan, who swimming, since Augustin may be running errands. Laustela goes to leave and Mercy confesses that Ryan told her she is leaving. Laustela nods but Mercy doesn’t understand because she has Ryan, a secure future and a roof over her head but prefers to leave. Laustela thinks that’s not everything and Mercy tries to convince her by stating that it would be best to keep her family together, for Paloma, but Laustela leaves without another word.
• She finds Ryan swimming in the pool but doesn’t say anything. She steals a few glances at his back as he swims but is gone when Ryan turns around.
• At Furia, Genesis gives Laustela her bag and tells her that, despite the ICE raid, all their agendas are full for the week; it seems the scandal helped them instead of hurting them. Laustela nods and asks if the earnings from the festival have been calculated. Genesis doesn’t know but she will investigate as her commission is sure to be ready. She then suggests she ask Ryan directly but Laustela is quiet and Genesis promises to find out for her.
• Chavalin drives Leticia to Ponoma to find her husband, Erasmo. She thanks him again for all his help and he tells her to not forget old friends when she’s rich and smiles. They stop the car and Leticia sees Erasmo walking toward his car. She jumps out and runs to him, engulfing him in a big hug, much to Erasmo’s surprise. She tells him that she came for him as Chavalin comes and introduces himself. Erasmo is quiet and blows off Chavalin’s offer before grabbing Leticia and demanding they leave. She waves goodbye to Chavalin, who smiles.
• Laustela is singing on stage with headphones on as Danilo watches from the shadows. He smiles and she sees him and smiles. He claps and asks whose song that is. Laustela tells him the song is hers but she was singing it aloud to see how it sounded and only writes them down when they are worth it. Danilo nods and tells her that whatever she writes when she’s in love is sure to be worth it. He then asks how things are with Ryan and Laustela confesses that they are the same, still fighting. He asks her to tell him more, seeing as they are friends and smiles.
• At a Mexican restaurant, Leticia and Erasmo catch up. She tells him the food says Mexican but it isn’t really before grabbing his hand and telling that she is there to cook him all his favorite foods. Erasmo thinks she’s crazy for having crossed the border alone and even more so for leaving the kids behind. She tells him that it was hard but she loves him so much. Erasmo, exasperated, asks what she came for and Leticia explains that she missed him dearly because he’s her man and as soon as they can, they will bring the kids. Erasmo is quiet.
• Ryan meets with Steve, who tells him that Laustela is right in having doubts about his feelings for her. Ryan confesses that he loved Estela but Laustela has shown him how to be a better person and Steve teases him for being in love. He then asks what Ryan is going to do to demonstrate his love and Ryan shakes his head. He is unsure but he will show Laustela that Estela is in the past. Just then, another friend comes and tells them that their friend, Jimmy, just arrived and he’s drunk. Steve and Ryan run to see how he is.
• Leticia explains that in Mexico things are rough because there are no jobs but Erasmo tells her that things are the same in the US. Leticia doesn’t care how long it takes, as long as they are together, but Erasmo has doubts. Leticia then asks him where he lives and Erasmo confesses that he lives with a few other guys and it would be awkward to have her there. Leticia proposes they find a new place just for them two.
• Genesis gives Laustela her check. She is surprised at how quickly the check was processed and Genesis explains that tomorrow there is a board meeting to plan the upcoming festival. She then tells Laustela that whoever planned the raid is sure to be pissed as the scandal has brought them even more success. Laustela is quiet and then confesses that it is her last day in Furia. Genesis asks her why and Laustela explains that her and Ryan are separating and it’s for the best. Genesis will miss her, especially because she was so good at her job, but Laustela hopes to see her soon because she loved working with her. Laustela then leaves after another goodbye.
• Erasmo brings Leticia to a cheap motel, the only thing he could afford at a moment’s notice, but she doesn’t care as long as they are together. She goes to kiss him but Erasmo pulls away after a second and tells her he has to go back to work. She thanks him for all the sacrifices he’s made for their family and Erasmo nods before leaving.
• That night, Laustela packs her bag and looks around Ryan’s room. She picks up a picture of him and then gets a pen and piece of paper and writes him a letter. In it, she explains that she hates to leaves so suddenly but the love she feels for him is too strong. She confesses that, when they met, she felt an unavoidable attraction to him. She tried to deny her feelings, especially because she doesn’t want to fall head over heels for another person who will hurt her, but couldn’t. She signs the letter and proceeds to rip it but stops herself and cries.
• Later, she goes to Rosario’s room and grabs hers and Paloma’s bags. Rosario chides her for leaving in the middle of the night like thieves but Laustela prefers to avoid Ryan all together. Rosario thinks she should stop denying the love she feels for Ryan but Laustela is quiet. She then receives a text from Chavalin that he is outside and they grab their things and leave with Paloma.
• Outside, they all load up into the car and Laustela looks at the house once last time before getting into the car. Chavalin closes the front gate and drives off into the night.
• The next day, Ryan knocks on his bedroom door and asks Laustela to come out because he wants to talk to her before she leaves but no one answers. He goes inside and finds an empty room and Laustela’s letter: she thanks him, Danilo and Mercy for all they did and says goodbye. Ryan curses his luck and storms out of the room.
• In the hallway, he runs into Danilo and Mercy and tells them that Laustela has left. Mercy wants an explanation and asks Danilo to leave immediately. Once alone, Mercy chides him for letting Laustela go before she could register Paloma. Ryan tells her that she is going to find her and leaves.
• Chavalin helps Laustela, Paloma and Rosario settle into their new place. Paloma thinks it smells weird but Chavalin helps her see that, while it’s not a mansion, they will have everything they need there except a pool. Laustela tells Paloma that it will only be for a little while and thanks Chavalin.
• Danilo meets with Asdrubal and tells him that his new song will be a hit and then his band will be on top. Asdrubal reminds him that he needs Ryan’s permission and resources to launch the song as he has 60% shares in Furia because of Paloma. Danilo smiles and explains that Laustela left that morning before Ryan could register Paloma. Asdrubal is surprised and asks him where she went.
• Laustela unpacks with Rosario, who tells her where she puts the photo of Ryan she took from the house. Laustela chides her for taking the photo and then goes to answer the door, supposing it to be Chavalin, who is bringing her an extra set of keys. She is shocked to find Ryan in her doorway and demands to know what he is doing there. Ryan is quiet and Laustela asks if he has her followed or if she will be able to live her life away from him. Ryan comes in and hopes they never have to be apart. Rosario excuses herself and Ryan shows Laustela the letters and songs he wrote for Estela. He tells Laustela that his feelings for Estela are ashes and then proceeds to burn everything he ever wrote for Estela. He knows it’s not enough to show her Estela is in the past but he needs one opportunity and time to show her that the only person he wants to be with is her. Laustela smiles slightly but is quiet as the letters and songs burn nearby…
