TELEMUNDO Y MÁS (#2): El Capo, La Querida del Centauro2, & más: Week of May 15, 2017
TELEMUNDO WEEKEND EDITION (continuación)
Here's Page 2 for the week. The current telenovelas are as follows (all times are Eastern Daylight Time):
• 10:30AM-12PM—Corazón Valiente
• 12-2PM—Gonul
• 8-9PM—El Capo
• 9-11PM—La Querida del Centauro2 (repeats 12-2AM except Friday 12-1AM)
Guerra de Ídoles has been relegated to Saturday nights, 9-11PM. Even so, folks may certainly discuss the novela here if they wish.
Everyone is welcome to join in the conversation. Since discussions of all the Telemundo novelas share the same page, please remember to put the name of the telenovela you're referring to at the top of your post, so readers can easily find the conversations they're looking for.
By common agreement, this group DOES NOT discuss previews, trailers, or any other plot information not found in a current or past episode of the current production. Spoilers WILL be removed by the admin. This includes reference to earlier productions of the story, and even the original novel. Thanks for your cooperation!

Your moderators, Juanita & LXV are as dismayed as anybody about the bad programming choices made recently by Telemundo. We want to encourage anybody watching El Capo or Querida (or even the morning shows) to post their thoughts about it--random comments, what they like, what seems bizarre, whatever. It doesn't have to be a recap; it doesn't have to be long: your thoughts in a few sentences, just to keep the page alive during this drought. Telemundo has been through a few pretty great seasons before letting us down like this, but we'd love it if people who ARE watching would chime in with any brief remarks. And a shout out to SpanProf who is picking up La Fan elsewhere: despite previous restriction to current Telemundo shows, we'll make an exception to policy and welcome any discussion you (and others) want to bring to the page.

I've been watching bits of this, love watching Sandra Echeverría beat up the bad guys, and fearless Yolanda (Ludwika Paleta) with her memory gone, puts on her white mask and kills people for Centauro, what?

Thank you, LXV! Just a brief comment on La Fan. I think the 2nd half is even better than the first, and the twists and turns parodying common telenovela tropes are hilarious!
SpanProf, I completely agree about "La fan" just getting even better in the second half. I enjoyed the whole thing.
XVI, things are in so much turmoil in on Univision and Unimás, too. IMHO, a few years back "El bienamado" (wonderful Televisa comedy) and "La candidata" (excellent Televisa drama that we are still waiting for as the Brazilian "Moisés y Los Diez Mandamientos is doing well in the ratings in that preferred tine slot) would have been front and center on Univision but are on Unimás as Univision keeps tweaking their programming. It sort of makes you wonder where this will all end and what will happen to telenovelas as we know them.

La querida del Centauro, 24 (first season was 51 episodes, at 2 shows a day this could wrap pretty quick)
Guerra de ídolos, 11 of ??
"filming in miami" shows permits issued to Telemundo for "De Pura Cepa" written by Valentina Parraga (Eva la Trailera) for this week and last (could just be for a promo) or... this could be Telemundo's first full feature filmed in miami since the actors voted to form a union.
