Vino el Amor, Lunes 5/1/17 Chapter 137: Head-Scratchers

Juan watched the video on the cell phone, horrified at the shooting of Perla, whom he had cared about after all. He almost collapsed on the bed next to the dead girl, crying and shouting, “You will pay for this, Graciela! You will pay!”

Graciela arrived home, crying also but not due to any remorse. She was barely in the door when David came out and asked where she had been. She quickly wiped her eyes and said “Wedding stuff.”
At this hour?”
I went to San Francisco.”
Why are you crying? Did Juan do anything to you?”
No.”
Remember you shouldn't be out alone. Remember that he's looking for any way to hurt us.”
Yes, I know. I'm not going to let him spoil our wedding. I'm not going to let him separate us. Not him or anyone.”
Lillian entered behind her.
Graciela, we were all worried about you,” she said.
Graciela turned around.
Really?”
Love, I know that the only thing of importance to you is the wedding. You should think of yourself, your safety.”
That's what I've been saying, Mama. Juan won't do anything to –”
Juan can't do anything if you don't go out and expose yourself.”
Do you think I would do that? Listen well why. Because I love you. I want to be your wife. That's all I want in this life, my love.”
Lillian could not see her daughter's face but she knew what David saw, which was that something wasn't right. Gracie was nervous as a slave thrown to the beasts in the Roman Colisseum.

Juan had packed his suitcase. He must have showered because there was no sign on blood on his arms. He came back into the room with his suitcase and leaned over Perla's body.
I don't want to leave you like this,” he said. “But I have to go. But things won't stay this way, I promise you. I swear. It's all over and nothing is important anymore.” He picked up her hand and kissed it. Then he picked up the hotel phone and called 911 to report finding a body. He put the receiver back on the nightstand without actually hanging it up. He said his last goodbye to Perla, picked up the rose and the brochure that lay near her on the bed, and left. He looked back at her body in its pool of blood and began weeping as he closed the door behind him.

David was definitely worried.
Graciela,I don't know why you're acting like this. We'll be getting married; calm down. Everything will be alright –”
Swear to me! Swear it to me!” she insisted. “Now everything will be alright, my love. Swear to me.”
Everything will be alright; relax,” said David.
Daughter, stop and rest. Everything will be alright,” Lillian said.
Yes. Yes,” said Gracie. She turned around and kissed David, then her mother. “Goodbye.” She then went upstairs. Lillian waited until she was out of earshot.
Let's leave her alone to rest. She'll be better tomorrow,” said Lillian. “It's that Juan has us all so nervous.”
I agree.”
You should be a little more patient with her. She seems like a strong woman, but she's really very sensitive. She's an artist. You get some rest, too.”
And you do the same.”
Lillian went upstairs as David stood in the living room, contemplating his day of doom.

Gracie went into her room, closing the door. She took a box down from her closet shelf and seemed to have forgotten the reason once it fell to the floor. She took the pistol out of her handbag and laid it on the dresser. “You have to do it,” she said to herself. “You have to marry David. Nobody is going to get in the way!” She knocked something down before she realized it and just managed not to jump out of her skin.
There was a full moon outside. One would think she was afraid of werewolves. [Isn't it a shame that Juan wasn't a victim of that particular curse? It sure would come in handy now.]

The following morning Adolfo and Miguel talked about how well things were going and how Luciana was responsible for it. Adolfo was well aware that Miguel had once pursued Luciana and told him that the time is coming for him to move on with his life. Miguel was not sure that the time had come yet.

Graciela sat up in bed, looking as though she had not slept the night before. Without cosmetics she looked as pale as a ghost. She was as still as the grave when Lillian walked in without knocking.
Are you going to explain to me what the devil is going on?”
Leave me alone,” Gracie said, as if in a trance.
No, no way. What is wrong with you?” She tried pulling Gracie out of bed.
I don't feel well,” she said.
My love, talk to me. What is it?”
Nothing.”
What nothing? Last night you came back like a madwoman. You didn't answer your cell and you came back very late. David and I were up all hours waiting. What is it? And don't lie to me, Graciela.”
Graciela stared at her mother with a mixture of anger and fear.
I don't have anything to say.”
It's one of your secrets. What happened to you?”
Nothing's happened to me. Nothing happened to me,” she said as she got out of the bed and began shouting. “It's all your fault! Your pressure, your demands! That's what happened to me, Mama!”
My love, what are you talking about? I never pressured you –”
Yes, you did, Mama!” Gracie shouted. “Yes, you did! And this is what it did to me! To be better than Lisa.”
Your sister doesn't matter here.”

Carito was serving León and Tano breakfast as León announced that he and Sonia had reconciled and he was about to start his own business. Carito said that Sonia had hit the lottery with him and regretted that she had found no one. León told her that she soon would find a man worthy of her. She looked as though she was still doubtful.

You alone kept comparing yourself to Lisa. I don't understand why,” Lillian said.
No,” said Gracie, as she started walking around. “I just wanted to be loved a thousand times more than Lisa.”
Forget about that. You have to. The only thing that's important now is that you marry David. Persist in that or you will ruin everything.”
No. That will not happen.”
How is that? Last night you were a wreck. You need to calm down. If you keep on like this he could cancel the wedding.”
No!” she growled. “He won't cancel anything. That will not happen.”
That will depend on you.”
No. I will be alright.” She sat down. “I'm going to have a beautiful day at my wedding to David.” She didn't quite look or sound like she believed this.
I hope so. But now you have to get ready and I have to work at making sure he doesn't worry about you. But do your job well. We are so close to success we can't fail on your account.”
Lillian rose and left the room. Gracie didn't look any calmer.

Miguel finished a phone call and got up from the desk as Luciana arrived. He told her they were going out to call on suppliers. She said she had things to do and he didn't need her but he said he did and it was very important. They left together.

David was in the distillery office that had once been Juan's. He was putting away a binder when his cell rang. It was the county sheriff's office with the news that Perla had been found dead in a motel room in San Francisco, the room she had occupied with Juan. He was not there and the current hypothesis was that he shot her in an act of desperation. They promised to find him. They asked him to come to identify the body and he agreed to.

Bobby was in the TV room channel-surfing when Lillian came in. She asked why he wasn't watching anything and he answered that he hadn't found anything that pleased him. She commented that he hadn't been on any channel long enough to tell [In this I agree with her]. She asked why he wasn't playing games and he asked if she would join him. She declined, saying she was useless at that. He asked if she would take him to see Marta. This did not please her and she said that Marta would never set foot in their house again.

David found Susan and told him he had to leave. He explained the reason just as Carito, León, Tano, and Ramón entered. Carito became hysterical, which became worse when David said that it looked like Juan did it. She collapsed and began sinking to the floor.

Bobby tried to get Lillian to explain herself on this. Lillian was annoyed that “after all your aunt and I have done you still prefer that woman.” She finally said that once Gracie and David were married things would be different. Bobby asked how and she said he had to wait and see. She got up and left in frustration. Bobby looked a little confused.

David tried to revive Carito with the modern equivalent of Victorian smelling salts. Gracie arrived wearing her gold necklace with the empty looking glass frame for a charm and asked what was wrong. Tano said that Juan had killed Perla. She pretended not to believe this.
Carito regained consciousness, still not believing what she had heard. Gracie said that Juan would be caught “for killing Perlita and... for everything he's done.” Her voice trailed off and her eyes widened as she realized what that would mean. She looked around for a moment and realized that no eyes were on her.

Luciana and Miguel met in town and he insisted she come to lunch with him. The sommelier came to their table with a bottle of wine and a bouquet of red roses, the latter of which he handed to Luciana. Miguel told her he wanted to talk to her. She was wondering what about.

They had gotten Carito to her feet, but she was still crying. Susan suggested they bring her to Cesar and David said they should handle this because he needed to go to the police station. Gracie tried to stop him and he told her that he needed to handle the legal issues about Perla's death. Gracie was barely holding back her hysteria as she told David that he had nothing to do with this. He explained that he knew Perla since she was a child and that this had nothing to do with Juan. Ramón asked David if he needed help. David said he didn't but that they were all to be careful. If they heard anything they were to call the police right away.

Miguel told Luciana that the day she arrived in the vineyard everything changed for him. [Does this sound familiar?] She gave him the strength to carry on. He told her he loved her.
Luciana didn't know what to say. She finally said that their friendship was special and she didn't want to lose it. He persisted but she said she wasn't ready. [Miguel, we have news for you, as in you are a Hot Guy who just got tracts of valuable fertile lands. There are millions of single women in California alone who can't wait to meet you.]

Carito wanted to accompany David to the police station but he said she shouldn't. She was blaming herself for this and wanted to see Perla one last time. David told her she was not responsible and reminded her that she had warned Perla about the danger multiple times. Carito was upset that this had not been effective and that it had driven Perla away from her but David said this was not her fault. She was merely acting as a good friend. All this time Gracie stood behind him with an angry expression. [Did León or Ramón notice any of that?]
León and Ramón escorted Carito back to the employees' quarters as Susan and Tano went back to work. David asked Gracie if she was alright. She said she was much better and couldn't wait for the wedding. She was still wild-eyed and her voice a half octave too high. David told her he was going to the police station and left. [Note that there was no kiss.]

Luciana gave Miguel a final-sounding no. She didn't want to risk their friendship on the possibility of a romance that wouldn't work and end up causing them both pain. He seemed to accept this, saying with some difficulty that this should not disrupt their work relationship.

Juan sat in another motel room, possibly one of the same chain. He drank Crown Royal directly from the bottle, crying out apologies to Perla. He looked at her photo on his cell phone, then again at the incriminating video. He swore to his dead Perla that now he had the means to destroy Gracie.

Gracie seemed to have calmed down as she sat in her room putting on her warpaint. Lillian was pleased to see her back to normal. Gracie smiled as she closed her lipstick and told her mother that the police were after Juan because he had killed Perla. Lillian didn't quite believe this, but Gracie talked about being happy that the police would get him and he wouldn't be able to hurt them anymore.

Luciana returned to VSB and talked to Marta about her lunch date with Miguel. She explained what happened, saying she had no hope that she could ever stop thinking of David. Marta asked her if she thought there would be a day when she would stop thinking of David and give Miguel another opportunity.

Lillian sat on the couch in Gracie's room, puzzled by this news. It didn't make any sense to her. Gracie told to her to call the police for an explanation. She was hoping that the police would trap and kill Juan so he would be out of her way.
Why does Juan suddenly matter so much, Grace?” Lillian asked.
Because I can't be calm about this. He's a threat; understand that.”
I don't know why, but ever since he called you've been very nervous.” She continued as Gracie stared at her. “Understand that Juan can't do anything.”
No, Mama. If he can kill Perlita we can't know what more he can do.”
Love, you are going to marry David. You don't have to worry about this.”
Of course I do! Juan could tell David about our agreement.”
That's not going to happen. Juan isn't coming near us, full stop.”
You know Juan very well. He is capable of threatening us and there's nothing we can do.”
Graciela, this obsession you have about Juan has me very worried.”
Mama, I don't. I just want things to be calm and I want Juan to pay!” [???]
She flounced off, not wanting to continue this conversation.

Luciana and Marta finished this conversation. Marta suggested that Luciana call Susan and catch up with her.

Carito unburdened herself to León and Susan, explaining how she kept quiet about Juan and Perla's activities to try to protect Perla. She had also been threatened. She was still not over her sense of guilt. She had seen enough evil in Juan to understand why Perla was in danger but had trouble with the idea that he had killed Perla. León suggested that she stop thinking of such things because it would just make things more difficult. Carito thanked him and Susan for being there for her and Susan's cell phone rang. She got up to take Luciana's call.

David went to the police station and learned that Juan had been identified by a motel employee. He had checked in several months ago with Perla but Perla had been the only one seen coming and going. David understood that but could not understand Juan's motive for killing her. The cop said that current thinking was that they had had a problem and he decided he didn't want any witnesses. David still couldn't quite believe this. The cop then told him that they were after Juan and they would get him. David said they had to soon because if Juan came near him or his children he wouldn't be able to stop himself [from killing him, we assume]. The cop assured him that this would not happen and said they should get the identification over with.

Miguel talked to Marta about the same situation Luciana did. Marta told him he had to give Luciana time. He was still upset that she had rejected him again. He was so sure he could make Luciana happy. It was going to hurt to be near her and not be able to win her love. Marta, who earlier would have encouraged him to keep trying, told him he had to restrain himself if he didn't want Luciana to leave out of discomfort working with him. [Skipping the next two segments of this because it adds nothing new.]

Sonia was shocked at the news about Perla. She did surprise León by telling him that if he was so confident in her writing she was willing to allow her book to be published. It also sounded like she promoted him from Lion Cub to Lion.

En route to the TV room, Fernanda and Bobby told Gracie that they would miss her studying with them. She told them not to worry; after the wedding she would spend all her time playing with them. The kids were about to sit when Gracie's cell rang. The screen read “Unknown” and Gracie said it was noting important.
It's just something about the wedding and now is my time with you,” she said.
The phone did not stop ringing.
Auntie, don't you think it might be really important?” Bobby asked.
Shouldn't you answer? They're not calling for nothing,” said Fernanda.
Just some people, and I pay someone to see to the guests,” Gracie said, getting nervous.
Thanks for preferring to spend time with us,” Fernanda said.
Always, love, always.”
Gracie tried to put down her cell but the message alert sounded. Cue the Hitchcock movie music and she looked at the screen.

She tried to ignore the message but the alert sounded again. She tapped the screen and saw herself in the blood red dress and saw the murder she committed. She froze.

Auntie, what did you see? Are you alright?”
Nothing. Nothing. It was something horrible. Horrible enough I have to go.”
Auntie, are you alright?” asked Fernanda. “You look so pale.” [If she were any paler one would see the red wine – or blood – disappearing down her throat.]
Si, kids I have to do something,” she said as she headed for the door.
But are you alright?”
Yes. I'm alright because –”
Do you want me to come with you?”
No, No,” Gracie said, not looking either of them in the eye. “I can't be late. Wait for me here.”
She ran out of the room. Fernanda and Bobby looked at each other, wondering what was going on and what to do. Fernanda finally said they should wait a little.

Gracie ran through the living room and into the study. She closed the door and rewatched the video. After the shot she dropped the phone and began to panic.
Oh, no. No!”
Before she could form a thought the phone rang. She tried to catch her breath before answering it. She failed.

Do you have my money?” asked Juan. “Bring me that money or you will pay for what you did to Perla.”

Thanks, Urban! Many thanks! BRB!

Wow! This was the Kimberly Dos Ramos show! My girl KILLED IT! I don't even have words to describe it. The Miguel/Luciana stuff is so inconsequential: I felt nothing but I was glad those scenes were there to give me respite from the intensity of DisGoingCrazier's scenes. I could feel her quiet, barely contained panic. The scene with Lilian was fascinating as we know what DG is talking about when she says "all this is your fault"--she means Lisa's killing and the new mess shes in and Lil thinks they're only talking about what she thinks are DG's wedding jitters! This is why Lil keeps reassuring her soon she'll be married to Dud and everything will be all right. DG is surrounded by people but she is alone in her own horrific world of obsession, fatricide and now murder on impulse. In her craziness, the only thing that matters is marrying Dave in "a wedding ten times better than Lisa's" and everything is getting out of control. So Dud and Lil have seen her cracking and now Fur and Boob have, too.

This DID feel like a Hitchcock piece, Urban, as you noted about the sound track. I enjoyed this episode and hopefully it's just going to ramp up each day until the end. Thank you again, Urban, for your usual eloquence and vivid descriptions!

Wow, Urban! Great recap...and so quick...very appreciated...Thank you!!

Head-scratchers...you got that right...
Initial thoughts--

I did enjoy DisGrace's nervous twitches...she seemed to literally be falling apart..or should I say shaking apart.

And I almost fell over when Boobee asked Lil to take him to see Marta and his responses to her reaction...yes, Boobee, your grand-maul won't ever let Martyra come back...after your Ti-asesina marries your dud.

Miguel was a real disappointment..he's back to being his persistent self. I cannot believe he said that the times he had spent with Luci had been the happiest in his life! So everything he ever said to Erika was what? A big fat FARCE!!

I hate that Uni is showing avances!

Mare laters...

RC

Oops...meant "more" later..

And yes, Lila, KDR killed it..she is a KILLER LOL

RC

Hee Hee -- Grand-maul and Ti-asesina are great! RC, I RUN from previews! I don't know if they think people won't tune in: maybe that was true in the doldrums (most of the show) but not now! Yah, this is must see and I want to get the full impact!

Well. See you guys in the morning!

Love those new nicks!

No question that unless someone kills her DisGrace will need a padded room and giggle jacket at the end. At a facility for the criminally insane. Where even Lillian won't visit her once she knows about Lisa.

I'll read the recap in the day light. And comment later also. I just want to say this much, the nut Has cracked.

Thank you Urban. Good nite.

UA: The title of the recap said it all.

Nina: FerBrat & Bobby have no clue that their precious Tia Graciela is a psychopathic killer!

Kirby: Cougar Sonia & Leon the Cub getting frisky again.... Get a room!

Lila: I enjoyed the episode!

Thank you, Urban.

I was mesmerized by Grace's continuing descent into madness! Her flying hands and darting eyes made me think of Kirby's birds and bees. She is a ticking time bomb. No doubt where she is going...down, down, down

Gotta run. Later.

You put to words what I saw perfectly UA. Great descriptions of Graciela's flirtation with madness. Thanks

"Bobby looked a little confused" Obviously its hereditary

Marta the matchmaker, my sides.

Me, me, me,meeeeeeeeee, Miguel.

Miguels obsession with Luciana pisses me off but I find myself quietly cheering Graciela in hers of David.

Great, Steve. If there was ever a time to watch this show, it is now!

Lots of obsession in this, isn't there:

Miguel for Luciana

Grace for her mother's approval

Grace for being better than Lisa

Grace for Dave

Juan for revenge against Dave -- the rage he feels now against Grace is justified.

Perla for Juan? Or was that truly love? I think it was. She just knew from a very early age that she loved Juan, she never faltered and declared her love for him with her dying breath. Apparently he loved her but not nearly as much as he hated Dave. Tragic for her that Juan's obsession led to her murder.

Brian for Marta. Gosh knows why but, don't get me started. Like Perla, he chose poorly and also declared his love with his dying breath.

Marta for Lil and the need to feel she was "more of a WOMAN". Again, I've pissed and moaned enough about that. I don't think the obsession was mutual. I think Lil really does just want the bitch out of her face and life.

Tonight should be soooo goooooood!

Thank You mucho mucho Urban. A great recap of a great episode. How you get it all from these Auctioneer-talking Venezuelans is beyond me, but glad you do.

There are millions of single women in California alone who can't wait to meet you.

And that is why you keep pestering LuLu. Because the lands is the Only reason millions of single women would be interested in a whiny, annoying, begging, toe-sucking doofus like you.

It was a rare moment when Carito told Leon that she now realizes what a great guy she overlooked in him when she said Sonia hit the jackpot with him.

When David was preparing to go identify the body DisGarbage almost barked her “NO !” before she caught herself. It works well that she is ordinarily behind DudLie so he can't see twirly twitchy eyes. I am surprised her hands were steady enough to put on her face.

“She was still wild-eyed and her voice a half octave too high “ Perfect Urban

Urban, through your amazing writing, you made everything crystal clear. Your dialog translations were simply superb. Masterful.

"She was as still as the grave" and "It also sounded like she promoted him from Lion Cub to Lion" were among many favorites.

I was struggling how to sum up Graciela's crazed state but there was no need as Lili did it perfectly "DG is surrounded by people but she is alone in her own horrific world of obsession, fatricide and now murder on impulse.

"[Miguel, we have news for you, as in you are a Hot Guy who just got tracts of valuable fertile lands. There are millions of single women in California alone who can't wait to meet you.]". Miguel, we had so hoped you wouldn't go there...Yet you poured your heart out to a rather cringing Luciana who was as uncomfortable as we.

I love Adolfo for telling Miguel to get on with his life, but did he have to do it the split second thereafter? Yes, RC, poor Erica, seemingly forgotton. But in the end, it is apparent she had every reason to be jealous of Luci, who is clearly the love of Miguel's life. Erica knew it in her heart.

I believe I've given Lili too much credit for being an intelligent woman. "She seems like a strong woman, but she's really very sensitive. She's an artist". Oh my. Then adding “Your sister doesn't matter here”? Lili has just boarded the titanic with no notion of what is in store. Can't she see her daughter has gone over the edge?

Nina, your "the nut Has cracked" made me smile.

Credit to Carito for expressing doubt as to why Juan would kill Perla. Even Duhvid seems to be mulling that inconsistency over.

Urban, thank you for bringing this so vividly to life.

Diana

Now the question is will BooB N' Fur mention to Papa bear that soon to be Mama bear's porridge was too hot? That little scene with the kids should raise a red flag the size of Mexico with FerBrat, she is a grownup now and lately seems fairly astute. Pre-wedding jitters is one thing, The hyperventilating, spastic, shrieking, twitching nervous breakdown on wheels we are seeing is another story.

It should be apparent soon that there is S O M E T H I N G going on with that Gall-darn cellular telephone.
And any normal ballbearing man unit would wrestle that thing away from DisGrace (In a Loving and gentle way of course) and find out WTF? I assume NoJuan/NoMoney will use this to once Again try to extort DisGiiveItToMe, after the text he sent. Any normal person with half a brain would stay far, far away from NoJuan, but that leaves out everyone on the show except Adolfo.

How old are kids when they are able to read the handwriting on the wall? Is Boob old enough? He needs to, because last night the enemy began to uncloak a little as he had his conversation with Grammy Lil on the sofa.

"It was a rare moment when Carito told Leon that she now realizes what a great guy she overlooked in him when she said Sonia hit the jackpot with him".

I meant to mention that Kirby - thank you!

'DisGarbage" (hee, hee)

Diana

I'm tempted to use your avatar as my screen saver today. Beautiful.

Want the original? It's free and in Hi Res. But I have to email it.

:-)

The nut has definitely cracked (Good one!). Something tells me that on the Wedding Day of Doom it will finally open and spill its guts.

OK, now about the Alternate Ending thing...

Since we've been told that the finale will be on Monday the 8th, we need to decide when to post the Alternate Endings. Is everyone willing to wait until Friday the 12th?

Thanks, Urban. Great job.

Marta asked her if she thought there would be a day when she would stop thinking of David and give Miguel another opportunity.

For pete's sakes, why doesn't Marta suggest Luciana go to an off-the-vineyard Happy Hour of young professionals and meet somebody new or take a break with some postgrad courses? So boring to have to graze through this right now to get to the good stuff.

The good stuff: Juan's phone call. Best minute of this entire TN. But now I'm afraid DisGrace will kill Juan and claim he attacked her to get back at David. Juan, keep your wits about you. She's cray-cray but she's crafty.

ITA nice that at least Carito and David are puzzled about Juan murdering Perla.

Bobby looked a little confused

I used to like Bobby but now he's just stupid. Why would Lil take him to visit someone who gave her a beatdown? A kid his age would know grandma is not the one to ask for that favor.

UA: Is the Gran Final going to be 2 full hours or divided up ?

Steve, Unless it's pre-empted for something this week it will be split. Univision and Televisa aren't in sync about how they show finales.

Back in 2009 FELS had a two-hour finale, which one network showed as a double and the other split up. I think that PyP originally had a two-hour finale in Mexico, but Univision added the previous episode to it for a 3-hour one, probably because it was a Friday. There is now a trend toward Monday finales and Tuesday start dates for succeeding novelas. Not sure how much that really matters.

Niecie, I agree that Juan's sending the video was the highlight of the episode. I guess he did this because it would have been impossible to send it to the entire guest list at the wedding. Or are Mexicans more respectful of places in which cell phones should be put on silent or turned off altogether?

As I watched the madness unfold last night, I couldn't help but wonder: is this the same writing team? Where the hell have THESE people been for the last 136 episodes??

RC: "Grand-maul" hee hee hee

I'm done with Miguel. He needs therapy.

Lil with her "sensitive artist" routine about Grace... give me a break. I don't doubt that there artists with the Artistic Temperament, but most of the artists I've met have been tough people. They have to be.

Diana: "Lili has just boarded the titanic with no notion of what is in store." I can't help feeling sorry for her. She doesn't deserve much sympathy, but the anvil that's about to fall on her is terribly harsh.

Love all the comments.

Niecie..maybe Lu should go on a tour of Italy like the woman in the book\movie "Under the Tuscan SUn.," (Autocorrect changed LU to Lunch...heh)

Miguel, Miguel, Miguel, you are a big, handsome landowners. The women will be fighting over you! Move on, LU is hopelessly devoted to DUd.Why? No idea.
Does anyone know anyone in real life who could not stop carrying the torch for someone they could not win? People usually eventually get the memo and slowly move on..perhaps still keeping that person in their hearts

This show is starting remind me of Crime and PUnishment in which the guy committed a crime that was never discovered , but his punishment was his own private torment. He got consumption.

Disintegrating is not even pawing abd groping Dud anymore. She is totally focused on stopping Juan , the nutcracker, from spilling the beans and obsessing about the boda. Somehow, she thinks that the wedding will make everything okay again. Yeah, I am sure. I hope Lilian has those gift bags ready. Are we really going to see this wedding?

Urban--just started your sure to be rip-raring good recap. It will go well with more coffe/no honey.

But I have to butt in right here. Will David be too stupid to realize Perla was killed in SF and DisG admitted to him as having gone to SF on boda business--at night and not telling anyone where she would be?

Julie, I'll take Miguel. I got this. Three of my friends are therapists.

Anita..yes, he will be too stupid. Although, sometimes I don't think that I am reading his facial expressions as he is intending tbem. They all look the same to me..which is "WAit? What? Where am I? Who are you? what happened? who am I? " I think that the same look has been used for grief, disappointment,, frustration, revulsion,, confusion....Maybe the look that he had on his face when delivering the news about Perla to the troops was one of suspicion and disbelief. How are we to know? Around my neighborhood, that look is what you get when you say to people, "Give me your smart look !"

Julie..yes, the artists I know are eccentric and quirky ,but I wouldn't call them sensitive....or whacked out like Gracie.

David is too focused on revenge against Juan to have a minute to wonder "Wait...Perla was killed in San Francisco, and Graciela went there last night? Did they run into each other?" And the assumption that Juan killed Perla (though David, Lilian, and Carito all went "Wait, what?" over that, which was rather nice) does act as a mitigating factor.

Miguel...oh, man. Your fiancée admittedly croaked several months ago, so in that respect you've been clear to pursue your first love all over again...but that doesn't mean that you should. OTOH, Adolfo and Marta basically nudged you back that way; but come on. Luciana's a lost cause right now. Go speed-date some non-speaking extras on BYOB night at a nice café in Sonoma, okay?

Adolfo, Marta, and Lilian are all trying to encourage their kids to pursue certain people. This never works.

Anita, I don't think he will make that connexion and that by itself would not steal his remaining IQ points.

DisGrace has been painting a self-portrait of sexual voraciousness, sweetness, self-sacrificing "for the children" maternity, and affected helplessness to appeal to David's inner caveman. He was fool enough to fall for her masquerade, which wiped out his IQ points. However since she never showed her pathological insecurity vis a vis Lisa in front of him he has no reason to even suspect that she killed Lisa let alone that Juan had reason to suspect her and therefore anything to threaten her with.

Lillian has only the small advantage of knowing that DisGrace is putting on an act. The possibility of DisGrace having killed Lisa would never occur to her because she is their mother. This has nothing to do with her maternal shortcomings, it's a thought that is much too horrifying for 99% of all parents. Therefore she can't think of any reason for DisGrace to be so paranoid about Juan. She is fairly calm herself and would have more reason to be concerned about Juan showing his face. She is probably also thinking that Juan is too afraid of getting arrested to risk exposing himself by attempting to blackmail her.

Remember also that some months have passed since he left Sonoma.

Thank you, Urban. I really liked this: "She looked around for a moment and realized that no eyes were on her." She is always looking around, trying to read her audience, but that's been easier for people to miss before. Now her paranoia is becoming more visible and threatening to give her away.

I also liked the "millions of single women" remark. Marta already warned Miguel about moving too fast on Luciana. I can't believe he went for it anyway. Well, yes I can. But this is why I got tired of him in the first place. I thought he had outgrown this behavior/obsession, but he's just been sitting on it all this time.

Loved the Hitchcock remark. It did sound like the "Psycho" murder music when Grace's phone wouldn't shut up. Perhaps she does not know how to turn her phone off.

And David and Lil really were waiting up for DG when she got home! Not in the dark, but still, a lot like parents. (OK, so Lil IS a parent.) Too funny.

If DG wants to blame her state of mind on perceived pressure to be better than Lisa, bad news: she's getting worse every day.

Having been the unfavored child of a narcissist I know that this is a losing battle, even after the death of the Golden Child. DisGrace should have learned this a long time ago, kept her distance from Lillian, and had a good art career.

She did exactly the opposite of what would have been good for herself because she is a bigger narcissist than Lillian.

Yikes, while I was getting ready for work, I thought of something disturbing . Three women in this show got the men of their dreams, Lisa, PEr!a, and Erica ...and they are all dead. All the women who were not successful in Landing their MR. Rights are still alive and kicking each other. What message are the writers sending?

Susanlynn, I concluded a while back that the writers hate women.

After thinking about it a little, I realized that they seem to hate men too.

Which is why I feel that VEA has been a big bowlful of cynicism.

"She's cray-cray but she's crafty". Niecie, great description. And, a deadly lethal combination.

Julie, I think Lili does have a tiny, somewhat functioning heart. I do remember her comforting Adolfo with great empathy when Erica died. While I cannot think of any other redeeming words or actions, she showed she was capable of feeling and that she is able to care. Not about everyone. But at least a few.

Urban, yes. I can't imagine that Lili has the slightest inkling what Gracie did. Don't all parents believe their children are incapable of murder?...Heavy sigh.

Oh my heavens Susanlynn. "Three women in this show got the men of their dreams, Lisa, PEr!a, and Erica ...and they are all dead". You always put it in perfect perspective. And you are right. That thought is chilling.

I'm still peeved Marta encouraged Miguel initially. "Luciana's a lost cause" is right Bill. I think finally, it might have sunk in.

Great comments all.

Diana

If Lisa, Perla, and Erika all got the men of their dreams and then died, that means DG will die soon too. I think.

Marta encouraged Miguel to WAIT before approaching Luciana. That's what gets me. She told him to be patient. Why did he listen to Adolfo instead of Marta? Because he wanted to believe that Adolfo's idea was better. How'd that work out for ya, Migsy?

From past experience, he should know very well that Luci doesn't like to be pushed.

Lilian has yet to show her inner villain, at least to me. And she has, IIRC, thrown it in Graciela's face a number of times why she wasn't more like her sister Lisa. That has only fueled the fire of Gracie's discontent. She knows how Lil feels about her, regardless of what she says to the contrary now. She also knows that should the knowledge come out that she whacked Lisa and did nothing to save her from drowning, will leave her devoid of ANYONE who might have some regard for her. Except for David. That's all she can cling to, now. Mommy Dearest is out of the picture.

I thoroughly enjoyed Gracie's performance last night. Chilling. However, I've said it before (about Juan) and I say it again here, I hate it when writers choose the insanity plea to get out of a tight spot in a story--especially when we are so close to the end. CrayCray is fine, but not to excuse her from her actions. I want her to know exactly what she is doing and why and when they put her tighty-whitey jacket on, she knows what is happening to her. None of this padded room business where she bonks herself to death anyway.

Still haven't finished the recap yet. Urban--thank you for not translating the dialog between Miguel and Marta. I confess, I >>FF through it. I knew what they were going to say: "his lines," "her lines."

"tighty-whitey jacket" - excellent Anita.

I remember one scene where Graciela and David were reminiscing. She actually seemed to shed her stone cold persona and speak of the past with genuine animation. Aside from that moment, Graciela actions and speech have been carefully crafted with but one goal. David. Her actions have been purposeful. She has not shown sincere sympathy or empathy to any one. With laser like focus on obtaining her goal, she is willing to do anything she has to. I don't feel she is mentally ill. She is frustrated and angry that she can no longer control and manipulate the aftermath of the murder she committed.

Not all evil is tinged with madness. Grace has definite character deficits but believe the underlying cause is pure evil.

Diana

Urban--This was great. Enjoyed every morsel. Most all the highlights and lowlights have been pointed out with greater literary skill by fellow commenters. Thank you for sticking with this AND with us for this long train ride to the final wreck. No need to speculate at this point. Let's just sway in the passenger car until we feel the bump on the END.

BTW--I don't have an Alternate Ending, but I've created an Alternate Beginning. It would have saved us all a lot of time.

Don't forget, I have the Post-Mortem to post. I can do the AltBeg and the Post-Mortem in between El Final and your AltEnd posting. What do you say?

Hasn't Marta done something, anyfrickingthing for somebody anyfrickingbody, to whack her? Just get her off my radar.

I know Lil hates her along with the rest of us, but Marta needs to piss off a bonafide murderer. She just annoys me to death.

Diana--From your mouth to the writers' ears. Regrettably, the ending is already etched in stone and there's no going back. Unless my guess is wrong (and I sincerely hope it is), she will end up a blubbering mess in David's arms claiming she did it to protect her Faaaaamily and all for her love for David. Yech. Or, she ends up dead--which if that happens, I'll scream, we WUZ ROBBED.

The writers can attempt to lull us into the old TN standard "Evil cause she/he is Crazy" on DisGrace but then when we see her without the mask when she is confronting LuLu we see a highly Non-Cray Cray chick who is just plain mean and evil. Not in the least bit crazy or delusional, just selfish, mean and rotten.

IE: She will be perfectly capable of appreciating her rather large tasty A N V I L when it (they) are served.

What will be equally fun is to see the reactions of all these Einsteins she has so easily fooled who swallowed her bait hook, line and sinker. I hope Cesar and Luci have plenty of times over the next fifteen or twenty years to tell all them "I tried to warn you, dummy."

Anita, I'm not sure what you're saying here.

As to other comments, I think that DisGrace is losing it. She has been delusional for a long time, thinking she is All That and a Bag of Chips and more deserving of life's rewards than Lisa because of that; she killed her to get her out of the way. She's losing her cool now that all of this is about to collapse like a house of cards.

Once David knows she killed Lisa she's done for. I haven't seen the final three hours yet but if Juan crashes the wedding with the video of Perla's murder and Lisa's cell phone DisGrace will be lucky if she isn't stoned to death. Or would that be better than Life Without Parole?

Well, I have now watched one episode, and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that the recappers and the Patio are far superior to this telenovela. Glad you all have had fun discussing it, because I can't imagine that it has been very enjoyable watching it. Jeezeopete as Lila would say.

I understand Miguel sees Marta like a mom but it creeps me out her having these conversations about her own daughter's love life with him. On the outside chance they were to be together is he going to cry to Marta when they have a disagreement?

I don't think Luciana sees Miguel as a mate even if she's never with David. Pisses me off Miguel always insist Luciana is perfect for HIM. She doesn't get a vote. I hate that punk.

OMG, the comments this morning! Patio Pals, youze guys are on fire!

DisGrace has been painting a self-portrait of sexual voraciousness, sweetness, self-sacrificing "for the children" maternity, and affected helplessness to appeal to David's inner caveman. He was fool enough to fall for her masquerade, which wiped out his IQ points. However since she never showed her pathological insecurity vis a vis Lisa in front of him he has no reason to even suspect that she killed Lisa let alone that Juan had reason to suspect her and therefore anything to threaten her with.--Urban @11:08

Urban, that is a piercing and exquisitely beautiful analysis! The whole comment is!

Susanlynn at 11:46, about all the women who got the men of their dreams being DEAD! JEEZOPETE!! What a revelation! You're absolutely right! Women, men, Love & Marriage, Motherhood (witness the runaway wives and mothers and ho-momma -- you KNOW who that is); fidelity, sisterhood. . . .one could go on ALL THESE TOOK A HIT in this piece! WOW!

Back to comments. And to think. We could've been having these kind of discussions instead of being forced to talk about Marta's shoes or the Mexican Federation of Nanny Goat wrestling!

If California looks like a place without marriage they should see New York! There was a census report that said that 40+% of NYC households are single-person households. The previous administration then decided to solicit designs for micro apartments. Sorry; I like my 500 square feet.

ITA with everyone’s perception of DisCrazie—she is evil, conniving, heartless, and a total witch (with a big B). But I think that under all that is a scared little girl who has felt lonely and unloved all her life. She will go to any lengths to get the “love” the she perceives will bring her happiness…and that love, in her eyes, will culminate with the wedding. She sees or thinks of nothing after the wedding. I think someone has already made note of this---after the wedding (if it happens) she would lose all interest and may even be disappointed in her selection for a mate.

Don’t throw stones at me, but, for a minute (maybe seconds) there, when she went to her bedroom the night of the murder, I actually felt sorry for her. KDR’s performance was exceptional, to say the least…her portrayal of a person whose world is crumbling truly impressed me.

SuasanLynn--wow, I hadn't thought about all the women who died after being "happy." Great observation!

RC

All three of these women were murdered.

Lisa: murdered by her own sister, DisGrace
Erika: murdered by Juan (collateral damage from the plague he set in motion)
Perla: murdered by DisGrace

So there could be a curse in Wine Country.

RC: I do wonder if whatever sympathy Graciela has somehow managed to warrant is largely due to Kimberly Dos Ramos and not Graciela herself. That said, Graciela's twin obsessions--one with her sister's husband, the other with always coming in second to said sister--have literally haunted her for decades. She managed to become a modestly successful artist on her own, but that wasn't enough for her to escape Dead Lisa's shadow...thanks in large part to her leech of a mother who was worried about holding on to her gravy train. She's a blazing hot mess, but that does occasionally warrant some sympathy...

"Oh Tia it's OK. Mom used to PISS me off too sometimes, we will talk about that later. But right now we just gotta have Tano empty one of those big vats for you to hide in for a couple years."

"You still have Dr. Anderson's number? We may need him again."

Riiiiight.

Okay, that'd be a hell of a swerve...

And you can throw Rocks at me too. I do not care what Lillian did to her, but DisGuntotinpsycho has had a decade and a half or so to fix it and she has not done doodly squat except help it fester.

It also is not unheard of for this favoritism to be almost all in the eye of the beholder too. Some people's yolks are just scrambled from birth with no external help. Lillian is quick to point out that Lisa was her favorite, and smarter, etc.etc.

Maybe it is all true. If I had two daughters, say, a Luci and a Graciela, you can bet I would have a favorite.

--Diana

BAM! Yet, there's this:

. . .for a minute (maybe seconds) there, when she went to her bedroom the night of the murder, I actually felt sorry for her. KDR’s performance was exceptional, to say the least…her portrayal of a person whose world is crumbling truly impressed me.--RC

BAM! BAM!

No rocks, RC (ha ha ha!) I felt it a tiny bit when she was alone on her bed and Dud had to call her three times before she responded. I think this was as she was contemplating what to do about Juan's Million Dollar black mail call. She did look and sound like a scared little girl. This is a side of Grace that is as vital to the character as the cold-hearted, conniving, rock-chunking, bullet to the gut Bitch Grace and that an actor can make us feel anything even resembling pity for someone who has done what Grace did is a masterful actor! I agree with what so many of you have said about Grace. She is rich and fascinating character and each of us have eloquently described some of her facets. It's great fun!

Kirby for wanting Marta whacked: BANG! BANG!!

Bill I know, I just thought it would be a WTF? moment even for this show.

Just home and enjoying the new comments.

Judyb...Melinama (Jane) once told me that the bad shows are the most fun to recap and comment on. I must say that the patio is pretty good at spinning straw into gold..so many funny, clever, irreverent people. I have had a fun ride these past years.

Uh, I'm not shooting you, Kirb, I agree!

Grace: Cinderella Complex meets Snapped!

WOW Now I wonder what DisGoForJugular will try next. She evidently does not have any or much money and so a simple payoff like NoJuan has asked for is out of the question.

1. Does she really have anything on NoJuan to counter with?
2. Will she pretend YET AGAIN, to have the money to pay his blackmail?
3. Third time's the charm, will she try to kill NoJuan too?
3a If successful will we take up a collection for her defense fund?
4. Will she concoct some scheme to stall him until after the wedding, as she seems to think that wipes away all the past?
5. Will she go on offense and tell David that NoJuan is trying to frame her with a fake video?
6. A fake suicide is always good right before a wedding, would it work for DisGravefiller?

Urban, my students are always surprised that so many Americans live alone. In many countries_if people do not marry, they stay in their parents'homes. Sisters and brothers who remain single sometimes live with their siblings' families. That was a common situation here in America in the past. My maternal grandmother lived with our family as deed her sister occasionally. I had a friend who had both her maternal grandparents living with her family and another friend whose unmarried aunt lived with the family. Nowadays, grown children sometimes move back home if they cannot find a job or get divorced. Some famines are looking for homes with suites for the grandparents so that they can help with the children . I wonder what the statisic is for the while country as to people who live alone .

Families. Not famines..sorry..too fast.

A payoff to Juan is out of the question because he it will only encourage him to ask again and again and again. Grace can't afford that, either financially or emotionally.

But I don't think he'll ask her for money this time. I think he's going to terrorize her until she has an accident, kills herself, or is carted off to the laughing academy. Or maybe he'll have the good manners to finish her off just before getting blown away himself.

Kirby...Disheartened dies not have many options at this point. Even if she bad some money, blackmail is a never ending, bottomless pit. However, maybe she is too panic stricken to think clear!y . I think that she is so desperate (DISparate) that she will try to kill him. She is in a corner, so anything g goes at this point .

What did you all think of barefoot Juan on the bed cradling that bottle of Crown Royal? Misery loves company, but Juan has nobody in his misery . He lost everything in his obsession to destroy Dave. That's a lesson to be learned. Be careful what you wish for , and don't put all your eggs in one basket. To late for Grace and Juan to learn from those proverbs .

I don't know, SusanLynn, but from my experience living alone when you finish college is the best way to achieve independence, since many parents are not prone to seeing their children as adults if they don't move out. For many parents not matter how much money you make or how much of it is contributed to the household they can't see their adult children as old enough to have love lives, friends that don't require their approval, and not have to obey curfews.

For unfavored children of narcissists and other toxic parent types it is essential to live independently.

Juan shouldn't have sent the video to her just yet. He should have snuck into the wedding venue, waited until she was poised to walk up the aisle, then sent it in a group text to David, Lillian, Fernanda, the police, the "important guests," etc.

That's a good idea, Anon, but "poor Juan" was so destroyed by Perla's slaughter --barefoot Juan on the bed cradling that bottle of Crown Royal[Susanlynn]--that all he could think about was hurting/freaking her out/demanding money NOW!

He DOES need money and he probably just thinks that this the totally damning video would make her fold and give him the money he thinks she has. It apparently hasn't occured to him that she could show up and kill him or have the Police show up instead. Yet, just getting money out of her is no kind of revenge, no destruction! He wants to destroy her so he's got to try to clear his head and think of the perfect wedding crash!

I agree, I don't want a cop out where they both kill each other, say, in a shoot-out if Grace goes to "pay" him. I want everything she's done revealed: Lisa's murder, Perla's murder and having her totally mentally healthy niece mind-effed and drugged. I want Dud to know that he was also a target of Dr. Evil Martin Mull Anderson, courtesy of Grace AND Lilian!

It is further nuttiness on DisGoneGirl's part to seem to think all transgressions will miraculously disappear/be forgiven if she can JUST make it through the wedding. She seems not to be concerned in the least of what will happen afterwards or that her marriage will be damn short lived, she just wants to GET Married to whats his name. That is probably a sign of a bit of mental instability, complete focus on that one objective with no regard for the consequences of her means to get there. NoJuan is about the same way, and it is not working too good for him either.

Urban I graduated from High School a year early at sixteen and promptly moved out into a dorm on campus.

Amen Lila.

I want a full disclosure and accounting before all. In too many of these TNs we wait to the credits for the one big secret to be revealed and then get here on Caray and wail for days about the writers.

I for one, want to see FerBrat realize that her wonderful, can do no fricking wrong, sent straight from Heaven to battle evil Luci, T I A is a murdering, lying, cheating, dishonest con artist, along with Sweet old Grammy Lil. I want to see Ferby chasing DisGrabHer! among the wine barrels with a Crocodile Dundee butcher knife. I want to see David turn on Lillian and beat her like a rented mule, and the cops have to pull him off.

Crown is not cheap ! I thought he was broke.

. . .beat her like a rented mule. . .

AM!

YAH! Ah! It would be cool if we could watch a novela that was being crafted while we watched and we could submit ideas to the writers, director, producer, etc. and they actually listened to our suggestions. . .

Would that be too predictable and boring? Of course, they wouldn't have to take all our ideas so there would be an element of surprise.

Urban, unfortunately , it seems that a lot of young people are graduating from college and cannot find jobs,so they cannot afford a place of their own. Luckily, both our daughters got jobs right away. Also, many women with kids have to move back in with their parents after a divorce because they cannot afford to live on their own. I don't think it is easy for parents or adult children to live together. Many parents enjoy their empty nests even though they love and help their adult children. I tutored a guy from Brazil who said that when children get divorced there, they move back in with their parents.

Wow, Kirby. On your own at sixteen!!! You are, indeed, a selfmade man. Kudos to you, amigo.

Thanks. It wasn't nearly as glamorous as it sounds. Living in a dorm on campus is not exactly like being a CEO.

I lived with my parents for a few months when I was getting back on my feet after a long unemployment. One night I went to visit friends who lived about an hour away. I got home after midnight, and my parents complained. I moved out of there as soon as I could afford to... 35 is a too old for a curfew.

Kirby..still, that is a big step for a sixteen year old. ..and you did it!!!! At sixteen, I was still very immature and trying to figure out who I was .

Urban, this is even more deliciousness
In a recap. Iam so enjoying seeing the
Succubus gettin her anvils. She went in that study and locked that door and
Got the sh*t scared outta her twisted
Self. O the advances, not a word. It
Will not take much to push her on over
I don't mind one bit watchin her fall all to peices, finally some action on
A tn.
It's good David don't believe Juan did
The deed. He's guilty of stuff, but he
Really loved perla.Didn't show it much
But he did. I actually think she kept
Him as grounded as she could under the
Harsh circumstances.

Miguel Miguel Miguel. Such a sweet big
Hearted man,who deserves someone to love him as deeply and completely as he loves her. Luciana AIN'T HER. Lucy
Got David in the brain heart and soul.
Miguel move on Baby. And Marta need to
Tell him to move on. She also need to tell Miguel that when she asked hurt Luciana, will she take David back if he came over there and told her he wanted her back that he was not going to marry crazygrazy, she said that she would say "YES". Stop giving that man
False hope. And he started being the
Pushy guy he was when he was at the
incompetent vineyard. I was lookin at the tv sayin "miguel just stop, she's
Not into you that way. They should put him and Clarita together. Then she can be the wealthy young woman that can help The immigrants. Well, whatever the writers decide.

David not only did't kiss her when he
Left, he told the police that if juan came anywhere near him or his kids he
Wouldn't be able to Controll himself.
He didn't mention Gracie at all. He is not into her.

Another fun night in the vineyard.
Thank you Urban.

Susanlynn, what you said about what Ms Jane said about the worst shows are the most fun to recap and comment on". I wish someone would have wanted to do
"Mi adorable maldicion". I think there
Is so much fun in recappin and commenting on that show. But nobody was interested.Im using my imagination
Don't have cc3 on this. Don't know why
That is. Some shows don't have closed caption on uni. Not even On-demand. I
Thought they would have had it on that one, but no.

Nina..I have not seen that show. Are you going to watch "Double Life?" That one has some familiar actors and actresses , and some of us here are going to give it a try.

I am hoping that we do get the boda because I would like to see Grace's idea of the best wedding gown ever. She and Juan are both coming apart at the seams. I like to see the villains destroy each other at the end . Perhaps Gracie will meet her end dressed all in white. #ironyrocks

The lookS on DisGombobulated's face while Carito was losing it over Perla's murder were as good as anything Carita or Snoozsan were saying. When she thinks no one is paying attention, she lets her guard down and her face is like a YouTube video. Especially those EYES.

Kimy Dos Ojos

BTW did we see what she eventually did with her Gun? I saw her put it on the dresser, or something, then get that box down off the top shelf, and forget what she was doing by the time it hit the floor. I thought she was hiding the Pistola, but do no remember what she did.

If DG wears a white dress, won't she look like she's naked?

Yes I'm gonna give it a go suesanlynn.
The love interest part of it appeals to me.I read up on it,sounds good. Its
A keeper.
Kirby I thought she put that "gun of doom" in the drawer.

Yes, she did put it in the drawer after the boxes fell...

Now...Hmmmm…I’ve been thinking…

WE KNOW—
- NoJuan’s objective has always been to destroy Dudvid and take his vineyard.
- NoJuan wants his “Olivos” back (oh my, someone took ‘em...heehee)
- NoJuan wants to “finish off” DisCrazieGoneWild
- NoJuan isn’t turning the video in to the PO-lice...he’s going to use it to somehow
blackmail DisCrazie

SO…WHAT IF…NoJuan’s plan is to …
- Video/tape record DisCrazie admitting to killing Lisa and assisting him in his previous
attempts to destroy Dudvid (to ensure the lock is sealed forever in case she uses the
insanity plea for Perla-at-the-gates’s murder). Then, after married, have DisCrazie:
- Somehow break Dudvid’s bank so he has to sell his land
- Get DisCrazieGoneWild to sign over the deeds for both properties to him.
- Then, he sends the evidence to the PO-lice.

My brain is still going on this...it’ll stop in about 3 hours (when the TN comes on) LOL

RC

Nina: Got the sh*t scared outta her twisted Self. YESSS!! It would have been epic if Boobie or Ferbrat had said that maybe she had stomach problems cuz of the smell...LOL

RC

Julie..good point..she may become invisible.

Kirby..I saw Dissatisfied get down that box, but then put the gun in the dresser drawer. She was very stressed out, so she might forget where she put it .

I wonder if the bride will opt for the derringer in the bridal garter that I suggested. By the way, I guess there will be no bridesmaids because she has no friends and no sisters. I wonder if Lilian plans to walk her down the aisle . I forgot to get wine , but I have popcorn.

I wonder where the story will go tonight.

That's pretty dang good, RC! One of the functions of this group is to support each other when they choose dumb beginnings, middles, and endings like the one you suggested and choose something quick/injust/stupid instead.

Reckon we'll find out soon.

Ok, that didn't come out right, RC. Your ending is great but sometimes they choose dumb, quick, unjust or stupid ones instead.

Sheesh! Two and a half hours!

"She was very stressed out, so she might forget........." I was stressed out and didn't even see that.

I may have had my snout buried in a bowl of Ice Cream.

What flavor, Kirby? My fav is coffee, especially Edy's cappuccino with dark chocolate bits. However, I never have ice cream in the freezer..too tempting.

When Grace put that gun in the drawer, I marveled at how huge it was in her little hand.

Grace has everything to lose, so anything is possible tonight. She and Juan are both desperate to get what they want..Dave and Dave's destruction respectively. Let the games begin.

Actually I like plain old French Vanilla. The one with the little black specks in it.

But Chocolate is good too.

Rock Road is good, and Cherry vanilla with the marischino cherry pieces is pretty good.

Oreo cookie is good at Baskin Robbins

And in the Summer when it is really hot, Dreamsickle, the white with orange on the outside?

Caramel Fudge Drumsticks will do in an emergency.

Oh....anyway, um yeah, French Vanilla.

Ah..yum...Dreamsickles..good summer memories.

Have y'all tasted the apple pie ice cream that comes out around the holidays? There's one that taste like
Apple pie, and one that taste like pumpkin pie.Its so good, the only time
I ever tasted it was when publix was
Giving out samples. Im like you susanlynn, can't have it in the house.

Now you know what would be a clincher?
If the juanderer sent the recording to
A group of people while they're in church, right after the padre says"Is
There anyone in here that can find a reason why these two should not be lawfully wedded, let them speak now or forever hold your peace". As as soon as the words are out, different ones
Get that recording on their phone.
Susan screams along with some upscale
People that Lillian invited to the "wedding of the year", Ha!!! Can y'all
Just imagine Gracie in a church? She'd
Catch fire.

Just for the record, Urban--what I was trying to say earlier was that the literary skills of the commenters saved me the effort to create comments of my on the highlights and lowlights of this wonderful recap.

It had nothing to do with Urban's literary skills--of those, she is legendary.

See you in an hour.....what is this about ice cream? I have to get in on it before I settle down to Wino.

Thank you so much for your detailed recap Urban! You always do such an excellent job at retelling what went on. I've been busy with house guests yesterday, so I didn't get to watch the episode as intently as I usually do. I loved where you said about Miguel: [Miguel, we have news for you, as in you are a Hot Guy who just got tracts of valuable fertile lands. There are millions of single women in California alone who can't wait to meet you.] Poor Miguel, he needs to get out more.

As for DisGrace, I am enjoying Kimberly Dos Ramos portray this wickedly cold, calculating character, who is normally in control, become completely unhinged. She is going into total meltdown and she doesn't know what to do. KDR is just doing a fantastic job!

Well when the police called David to tell him that Perla was dead, they just ASSUMED Juan had killed her. Now did they even bother to look at camera video to see who came in and out of the motel? Did they interview other guests and ask about hearing voices and a gunshot? Surely Perla and Juan were not the only guests in this motel! Most motels and hotels have parking lot video and also cameras showing who goes in and out from the lobby area. The police need to look at the video! If they did they would find evidence that DisGrace was there! And if they can estimate the time of death and match to the timestamp on the video where DisGrace comes and goes, they would have their real perpetrator. (As you know, I watch a lot of shows on Investigation Discovery on murder investigations.) Plus DisGrace has already admitted to being in San Francisco on the night Perla was murdered, when she had no real business being there.

My husband was watching with me last night. He laughed when he saw the police officer in the office talking to David. He remarked about the officer wearing a "baseball cap" because police officers don't wear baseball caps with their uniforms and they don't wear them inside the building.

I had some ice cream on the way home from work so that you guys wouldn't be alone in your shame. You're welcome.

(I like coffee ice cream too, but unfortunately DQ doesn't have it. They do have chocolate, though, so it's fine.)

Cynthia, you are right about the hotel security cameras, but this story apparently takes place in a parallel universe where the police need to take a seminar on how to locate and use video evidence.

Julie...you are team player. As to coffee ice cream...Starbucks is wicked good. Hubba's mother used to make homemade ice cream..very yummy.

Re surveillance cameras..I guess that these days in the U.S. , we are all on camera all the time. Em... I have to try to remember that.

Well, Susanlynn, if you want to misbehave, go to Sonoma. No security cameras in public places! I can't promise there won't be hidden cameras in private places, though.

At 8:42 EST there were give or take 73 comments on this not so good TN but excellent recap. Viewerville is exercised, probably because they are hoping that this mess will end soon. A 2 hour finale? Oh dear me.

Cynthia, I think that today some police officers do wear baseball caps in certain situations.

Anita I had said this show is Harshing my Mellow and making me eat Ice Cream.

Anon a few minutes ago:

A nice clean hundred comments. I think this show AND Recappers have more comments than I have ever seen.

It sooo baaaad it Gooood. !
bye

Kirby--please don't mention Ice Cream any more. It only makes me start salivating and Real Vanilla with the little black flecks in it is at the top of my list. Things you pour over it (like Malibu rum, Chambord, Crème de Cacao or Bailey's Irish Cream) can bring out the flavor even more......Waaaah, I want some ice cream.

If you see a bird flying around here talkin 'bout a nest full of eggs, calls herself DisGrace, let me know.

We're looookin for her. She plucked the wrong bird.

Sorry. That Aerosol whipped cream and chocolate syrup is hard to beat too.

:-)

Thanks UA.

I found myself a little bored during this episode. Maybe because I prepared Tuesday's recap in advance. Tuesday is a wild one.

It's absolutely ridiculous though that Miguel is into Luciana again and that Adolfo is down with it.

Anita..oh my, ice cream with those additions. Yum. Do you remember Miss Vickie enjoying a Bailey's sans ice cream in AV ? #noicecreaminthehouse #nobaileyseither

Kirby..add chopped peanuts and marshmallow to the chocolate syrup and whipped cream and you have my fav sundae..a CMP.

El Gran Final will be Monday at **8** pm.

So we gotta suffer through the weekend
Til Monday? Whyyyyyyyyyy? Cuz it'll take David that long to hear Lisa say
"Hey butthead, how many people gonna
Have to tell you my sister is toxic? Don't Marry her. She killed me and perla(and Perla is standin next to her with a blood stained dress stickin her finger In her gut where the bullet went goin"Listen to Lisa she speaketh the truth we dead cuz of her". And on
Monday it ends.So it's gonna be 2 hrs?
I hope they don't go chop chop on it.

Nina, If my calculations are right, they're splitting it up--Part 1 on Friday and Part 2 on Monday...that really messes up my schedule..I'm gonna miss a lot of Part 2 :-((

Doble Vida is still scheduled for 9 pm on Monday...

RC

Nina, that's great, Girl! I love it! That IS about what it takes for brain-dead Dave!

Big dummies gonna split up the finale. Man, they don't give a crap about the viewers, do they?

Nina..yes, Dave has been looking suspicious and slightly terrified of Disturbed and her anxious handflapping , hairsmoothing, and creepy buggy eyes ,but it might just take a visit from her two victims in ghost form to finally get the point across. Well, off to work . I look forward to reading the recap and comments when I get home this afternoon. Have a good day, all.

In the closing scene Dumbo looks as if he might have some kind of clue. Of course, I don't think he's anywhere near to suspecting what Grace is up to but he may give her the money just so he can follow her and see what's up. Having that thought and plan would be like a resurrection for Dud!

(I know I should probably save this comment for the new recap).

Susanlynn--DisBuggy was also touching her earrings last night--something new to watch for....

I do remember Miss Vickie and everything else she did....Accessibility is the mot du jour. Wasn't there a tn where some green or blue drink was available? We discussed it's properties, I recall. #noicecreameither #plentyofBaileys #alittledab'ldoya
