On Monday, La Querida del Centauro2 ends (at least for now :-) ). Beginning Tuesday, Querida will be replaced by the new season of Sin Senos Sí Hay Paraiso.  (Wikipedia offers a brief synopsis in English of season 1 (2016). Since Wikipedia sometimes includes spoilers, it may be wise to avoid a second paragraph describing season 2 (2017).)

Everyone is welcome to join in the conversation.  Since discussions of all the Telemundo novelas share the same page, please remember to put the name of the telenovela you're referring to at the top of your post, so readers can easily find the conversations they're looking for.

By common agreement, this group DOES NOT discuss previews, trailers, or any other plot information not found in a current or past episode of the current production. Spoilers WILL be removed by the admin. This includes reference to earlier productions of the story, and even the original novel. Thanks for your cooperation!

Sin senos sí hay paraíso

hmm, Telemundo has put together a 9 part (about 11 minutes each segment) video encompassing the entire last season, and named it "Capítulo 200", here,

"EL SENOR DE LOS CIELOS":

Bill C: Looking forward to seeing the recap from last night.

"SIN SENOS":

Deb: Looking forward to seeing this again.

I'm still wondering what's up with my one TV and CC3--it's admittedly an old TV, but CC3 keeps fritzing out throughout most of Telemundo's nightly lineup. I'll probably have to give CC1 a whirl just to see if it's consistent. Anyway:

El Señor de los Cielos: lunes

- Okay, when we left off last week Salazar had bounced for Boulder, Colorado after overhearing Colon's part of a conversation with Esperanza revealing she'd ended up there. So he spends about an entire episode stalking her around town (including her latest trip to see Zoe at the Weed Zone, where Zoe politely turned down a check from her) before going completely Lifetime movie and popping up in the back seat of Esperanza's car. They had a plan, so what's up?

Esperanza naturally takes him back to "Martha's" house, where she somewhat whinily tries to explain that she's been having a hard time coping with Esperanza Salvatierra being dead and just trying to start a new life. (Not to mention banging Zoe--wait, no, that doesn't come up during any of this. Of course.) Salazar kind of channels S3 Rivero a bit as he wonders if she wants to dump him like a hot coal again...and then grabs her and declares that all he wants is her, to be with her, and off they go again.

At around the same time, after having been somewhat politely shut down by Rivero and less so by Bizarro Pena Nieto, Esperanza's Parents (and their constant companion Arelis) are getting increasingly nervous about Esperanza's fate. They come up with the only solution left: they have to find Salazar. And, since they somehow know he's with the DEA now, that means they're going to the States (after Juan Carlos has another lunch date with Arelis, and is it just a matter of time before they finally bang?).

- Meanwhile, over in Madrid, Felina and Pilar are meeting with a friend of Pilar's named Mariu. Mariu is some sort of gem expert, and when we see her she's kind of drooling over a virtually perfect emerald they brought with them. Felina approves, noting that she has a thriving emerald business back in Colombia, and that she wants to bring Mariu in as their European connection. Mariu doesn't say yes, but...she's gonna say yes.

- Father of the Year Aurelio's plan from last week to hack Rutila's bank accounts to snag a $5M loan was rightfully blasted by Ismael, who swears that he can help him get the money without resorting to that. Ismael's got Sebastian working to help him sell some of Aurelio's art collection, and he swore it'll be fine before taking off to see Paulina at The College. Aurelio, being Aurelio, told Grenas the Techie they're going ahead with the plan anyway ASAP--and then he takes off for The College (how did he know Ismael was there, anyway?) and has Vitaminas interrupt Ismael's latest chat with Paulina to basically give him the "What are you doing, I need you, you don't need this school crap!" speech. Ismael insists that he wants out of The Life, blah blah blah, and bounces--but not before Aurelio, again being Aurelio, goes "Is that your teacher? Go get it, boy!"

Ismael then catches up with Paulina in her office, trying to blow the interruption off, but Paulina's no fool: she asks him outright what crazy narcotraficante is his dad. Ismael manages...somewhat...to deflect and spin it as that everybody's got someone in their family who's involved in something not quite legal. But, in a moment of I don't even know what, he figures that this particular educational course is toast and apparently bids Paulina farewell, saying he's glad he met her. And then he just has to shoot a classic Aurelio move and kiss Paulina for a good seven seconds before making his exit.

Yup, you can be damn sure Paulina flashes back to that kiss later.

El Señor de los Cielos: lunes (2)

- Bodacious Tatas, er, Tata has finally hung up that yellow paint disaster she bought from Aurelio in the Gaudy Condo (to some "meh" comments from Balki). She inevitably has to take a selfie with it before busting out her gold MacBook and videochatting with one of her fellow Real Housewives of the Distrito Federal about that and other chintzy things. I'll be kind of disappointed if Colon doesn't somehow follow the trail of bad selfies back to Balki, especially since he makes the point in this episode that as bad as the Casillas cartel is it's simply the top of the narco pyramid.

By extension, Aurelio and Balki end up having a chat later where he notes that he'd somehow found out that Monica had indeed allied with some new U.S. connections--and that they in turn were allied with one Tony "Helmet Hair" Pastrana. Aurelio's not really happy to hear about that, though his immediate instinct is apparently to go "Oh, Monica. I'm going to have to teach you another lesson." (Dude, just stop.) Balki, however, gives him some wise counsel--they can't really afford to go to war on two fronts, against Victor and against Helmet Hair.

- Meanwhile Helmet Hair, his you-can't-make-plaid-work-man jacket, and Ruben go to Chicago--and are accosted by a small media contingent. Helmet Hair takes the opportunity to talk about his budding political career (wha-huh? Does he want to be mayor?), at least before one pretty reporter hits him with a question about that former associate of his in prison with him who just happened to turn up dead the day before HH got out. HH brushes that off and makes a modestly hasty exit, but in private he complains to Ruben about freedom of the press before a call comes in--from Monica.

Monica, having basically been ditched by 30-30 in favor of working with/not pissing off Evil Greg Brady, tells HH that she has to move her next shipment to the States up. HH is okay with her initiative, but wants to be sure the entire shipment is up to snuff quality-wise; Monica declares that it will be, and that she's sending him twice what was planned (which should cover her final shipment from 30-30, IIRC).

In the middle of this, Work Hubby Ramon has at least tried to be the voice of reason in Monica's pretty ear; telling her that if she works with Helmet Hair she'll eventually have to choose sides in his inevitable war with Aurelio, etc. So, naturally, it's him who Monica orders to ready her plane for the flight to Mexico to pick up her shipment during a detour to Rutila's house to check in on her goddaughter and their kids (which leads to the four of them playing futbol, which is probably the most adorable thing this show will ever give us this season). Monica takes the opportunity to also make Rutila a proposal: she wants to set something new up with Rutila, using completely clean money, claiming she wants to just get herself a nice nest egg and retire. Rutila, for her part, notes she really doesn't want to get sucked back into The Life herself--especially since she knows Rivero is investigating her old meth operation via Bernardo Castillo--but ultimately agrees to pony up some cash of her own...

Riiiight before Aurelio has Grenas suck that $5M from her account, claiming that he'll repay her "someday...eventually." Rutila thus gets a really rude awakening right at the end of the episode.

El Señor de los Cielos: lunes (3)

- And as for Evil Greg? In 80s cop show fashion, he's up and running and seems to be almost completely healed from that life-threatening gunshot wound five episodes ago. So, when he's not overseeing Baby Girl apparently taking charge of the equally 80s cop show badly choreographed dancing hookers at the Dandy Wolf (as much as I want to call it "Whoreland," as per CC3 itself during a moment of signal clarity last week...naaah) he's had his other henchmen trying to track down Monica. And Zopi (the shorter henchman with the mustache) apparently has an in with someone on 30-30's crew, who revealed that 30-30 had met with someone else at the same time that he'd met with Victor: Monica herself.

Victor uses that same contact to discover that 30-30 is indeed sending Monica one last shipment, to be picked up via plane. And armed with the plane's registry number he has Skinny and Baby Girl find out when her plane is due the old fashioned way: they hold the wife and kids of a local air traffic controller hostage until he manages to find out when the plane is due to arrive.

So once Monica touches down in Mexico, just as she's ordering Ramon to go make sure the shipment is safe, Evil Greg Brady has to pop up just then with a posse and a gun to make her day complete...

"EL SENOR DE LOS CIELOS"

Bill C: It seems that Esperanza's parents are hell-bent on wanting to know where their daughter is despite being rejected by Rivero & BPN.

1.) Aurelio sucking off the $5 million from Ritula's account ? Why do I get the feeling someone will eventually whack this anti-hero FAKE DADDY OF THE YEAR someday ?

2.) Salazar cannot shake off his addiction to Esperanza. Isn't he supposed to be working with the DEA ?

3.) Zoe, Zoe, Zoe SMH. She's going to get whacked. It's not if, but WHEN.

4.) Does Salazar know Esperanza & Zoe have been doing a steamy lesbian escapade in Boulder, CO ?

5.) Ismael telling Paulina goodbye not surprised.

Steve: at this point, I'm heavily inclined to think that Aurelio Casillas has to die at the end of ESDLC. Even as I still, irrationally as fork, kind of want him and Monica to pull a The Dark Knight Rises and escape to Europe or something...his litany of sins is literally too long for him to skate on anything less than a road trip with La Calaca.

Hilariously, that applies to everybody on the show except perhaps three people: Rivero, Garcia, and Salazar.

El Señor de los Cielos: martes

Still trying to get CC3 to work right on my main TV, though at this point it looks like it's a weird lost cause, so...bullet point time!

- Zoe pops by Esperanza's house and runs into her and Salazar, just post-boink enough that they're dressed. Esperanza tries to spin it that Salazar was helping her with some car trouble before he makes an exit, but Zoe picks up on the inevitably weird vibe and guesses he's one of the men "Martha" said she was running away from. Esperanza admits it, and when pressed declares that she did indeed boink him...but it was just sex. On that note: Zoe, out.

- Monica argues with Evil Greg Brady (or should that be Psycho Greg?...I mean, c'mon, the crazy eye...) about how she's over him and how he's pissed that she was kept from him while in her coma and how she's still his wife (which is true) and he just has to be with her and I'm really wishing Monica would take that weird ring on her finger and poke his eyes out and instead nothing but then here's the third call from Helmet Hair Pastrana about the rush shipment and Victor's taking the call and HH will be dealing with Victor Casillas now and his wife is so on board with this and I'd almost accept Work Hubby Ramon sacrificing himself right now if it took him out but noooo and this run-on sentence is really forking appropriate for all the wrong reasons...

Soooo Evil Greg takes Monica and her crew, and he stashes Monica in the Blaxploitation Nightmare Suite at the Dandy Wolf...just in time for Baby Girl to pop up and give her the "I could take you out like that" speech. Sit down, little girl. Monica's been almost killed at least three times now.

- Rutila, throughout this episode, has no idea who hacked her bank account. She gets some advice and counseling from Alba, who continues to be largely over most of the crap her children have done and is putting her faith in her great-grandkids.

- Ismael hangs out at Sebastian's, drinks, talks some art sale stuff (apparently Sebastian got a lowball offer on one of Aurelio's paintings, which Ismael grudgingly tells him to go with) and gets a call from Paulina reinforcing that they're probably fated/doomed to bang in another few episodes.

- Bizarro Pena Nieto still can't get any satisfaction from the now perpetually bitchy Bizarro Gaviota. (Can we blame her?) So he bounces for Cancun to hang out with Jaime the Slime and some prostitutes, which is punctuated by Jaime making the inevitable tasteless joke about making sure said prostitutes have parachutes this time. BPN also uses the vacay to make a proposal to Jaime: he wants him to seduce Bizarro Gaviota...why? To keep her off his back? To torpedo her supposed divorce plans?

- Colon, now back in Los Angeles, reaffirms that part of the DEA's ongoing operation against the Casillas and other cartels will include keeping social media tabs on Tata and the other Real Housewives of the Distrito Federal. As part of that, he calls Rivero and arranges to have him check out Tata's IP address.

- Pilar and Felina hang out in their Madrid apartment and apparently talk shop.

- Aurelio and Balki drink and talk shop and the future. Balki's still down for retiring and being with his mujer, but Aurelio--after running through the three loves of his life (Ximena, Monica, and actually Lorelay)--thinks he's kinda done with women for a while. He'll just keep on narco-ing and making money.

"EL SENOR DE LOS CIELOS"

Bill: Awesome recap of last night's episode. My personal thoughts:

1.) BPN pimping out Bizarro Gaviota to Jaime the Slime (AKA Mexico's version of Doug Stamper) ? Wonder what does the unpopular, lame-duck President of the United Mexican States have planned for his Uppity Buji First Lady ?

2.) Rivero still digging up major dirt on bringing down BPN. Looks like he'll need to get help from the Pentagon too since the DEA is incapable of doing it (see Salazar going to Boulder, CO to getting his freak on with Esperanza).

3.) I did enjoy Zoe chugging up the deuce & getting her MIC DROP as she bolted, but is this the last we'll see her ?

4.) How many kids does Aurelio have ? I know he's knocked up HUNDREDS of women, but OMG!

5.) Will Garcia ever get out of prison ?

6.) Pilar & Felina: ZZZZZ!

7.) Ritula is the female version of "Scotty Doesn't Know!" as she has NO clue that Daddy Casilas hacked into her bank account & SUCKED IT DRY!

Omg
Thanks for the Senor..... recap
It helps a lot.. that man has more lives than a cat.....this show ain't going nowhere ..Aurelio will be around for a whiles

How many kids does he have..enough to get another series with a new generation! I bet you even money!

"EL SENOR DE LOS CIELOS":

HALIMACANDY: The big question is whether Univision will counter this & launch their own Super Series of their own considering Telemundo is kicking their expletives.

Bill C: How's our Bizarro Gaviota doing ?

Jenni
Finally the girl sang and it was enough to convince her to cut an album!,

Trina the snake is still stalking her
Her sister is still traumatized
Her daughter is being groomed by a pediophile

But all in all the family is happy together?

If aunt rosa recommends Jenni goes back. to trini ,I am sure this witch has the hots for him...
