Enamorándome de Ramón, Capítulo 25; Wednesday, September 13, 2017; Now that Video Suddenly Appears! (Or good news travels fast!)
As we left off yesterday, Fabi runs into Ramón’s arms
crying about her bad luck about the cassette that disappeared. She tells him
that with that proof, at least life might return to normal. She also says that
how much she and Andrea miss Juana and even though Juana is not their mother,
she is the only one they have left since their parents died who they can trust.
Margarita runs into Porfirio’s office and tells him the
good news about there being as video cassette in existence that proves that
Ricardo and Caty left a million dollar policy to Juana. Porfirio says he always
believed that her mother was wrong and that Horrortensia owes an apology to
Juana. Marg thinks it will be a cold day in Hell when that ever happens.
Andrea cries to herself about all the bad things that
have happened just thinking about the situation. The doorbell rings and it’s
Jorge. He says, “Forgive me.” They hug.
Margarita comes back to Horrortensia’s place to pick up
the last of her things. As she comes in, Hortensia angrily says, “What are you
doing here?” Margarita says she is there to pick up some papers and Horror says
whatever she doesn’t take with her is going to go in the trash. She also says
she is going to change the combination on the locks so Margarita can’t come
back in. Hortensia scolds her again about having an affair with a married man.
Margarita throws down the keys and says, “here, you can have them!” Margarita
says he is separated in the process of divorce. Hortensia says, “It doesn’t
matter. His ex will always be part of his life.”
While Antonio is waiting for Diego at school, Roxana
shows up and he is not happy about it. He turns and says, “And you, what are
you doing here?” She says, “I’m here to get my son.” He says, “Yes, and you
show up here as though nothing has happened.” Antonio angrily runs down the
laundry list of what Roxana is guilty of, including sending Virginia to
Hortensia to report on his activities with Margarita. He accuses her also of
abandoning their son to go off with another man. At that point Diego sees his
mom, and comes running to her. Roxana turns around and takes Diego with her giving
Antonio a look.
Margarita and Horrortensia continue to argue, with Marg
telling her that she’s just angry because her father abandoned Horror. (Don’t blame him there, who wants to live
with this horror show). Horror denies this of course and says that this is
a moral issue and that this is a shame and discredit to the whole family.
Horror tells Marg that Antonio will just view here as a “whatever” and one day
Marg is going to find out how wrong she is and then maybe Horror will forgive
Marg. Then Marg throws up the evidence looming about the video that will prove
that the life insurance policy with Juana as the beneficiary is completely
legitimate. But Horror won’t believe it. “Why in the Devil’s name would Ricardo
do a thing like that?” Marg then says, “Evidence is evidence and Juana is going
to receive that money!” Then Horror leaves the room.
Julio drives home talking to himself how he has to get
his hands on that money!
Antonio calls Marg and asks to have supper with her at
the local cafeteria letting her know that Roxana is back and needs to talk to
her about the custody arrangements.
Abuela Horrortensia runs over to Fabi’s and Andrea’s
place demanding to know about this video. She thinks she has a right to know
all about this, ‘invention’ about the video. Jorge says that he already saw it
and Andrea says she doesn’t have a right to see it. Then Andrea angrily tells
her to leave. “Hmmmff”, says Horror. “to think I’m being thrown out of my own
son’s home!”
Rulo and his co-conspirator (still don’t know his name)
at the shop talk about how they are going to continue to get away with their
illegal and unethical procedures cheating their employer and their customers.
Roxana visit Virginia at her office and Virginia is very
glad to see her. Virginia gives her long and the short of the story regarding
the insurance policy and the video cassette, Horrortensia, and the court
determining the insurance policy was a fraud. Now this video shows the truth.
Virginia cries that Julio once told her that if he had enough money he would
leave her and now with this evidence, Julio will be able to administrate the
account and will leave her.
At Julio’s office, his secretary tells him about a client
who wants details of his accounts from the past five years in detail. (Sounds like Julio has been running Ponzi
schemes). But Julio isn’t worried, he knows his million $$$ ship is coming
in. He asks his secretary to bring him coffee, black.
Virginia finishes explaining the whole situation about
how she took the video and if Jorge ever finds out, he will never forgive her.
There is also the problem of her nieces losing on the money. Roxana asks if
anyone knows if she has the cassette, but Virginia says no one except Julio who
does suspect that she has it. So Roxana gives her some “good” advice. Although
this looks like a lose-lose situation, she advises Virginia to think about how
to cut her own losses and do what would be the least worst case scenario. She
also advises to tell Julio she is returning the cassette only if he doesn’t
leave her, or she will tell the world that he is after that money. Virginia
says that she has never been able to confront Julio ever. So Roxana tells her
to get used to it, she needs to learn how to take control of the situation and
give him a taste of his own medicine. (chocolate).
On the phone, Fabi tells Jorge that someone has the
cassette hidden, there is no other explanation. Jorge doesn’t know who would do
a thing like that. Fabi tells Jorge she will be over after work to help him
look for it.
Marg meets Antonio at the restaurant and he tells her
what happened at the school with Roxana. She will make sure that Roxana doesn’t
take Diego out of the country and that he is not separated from his son. They go off to see the judge.
Horrortensia is talking to a picture of Ricardo and is
lamenting about how he could have left the insurance to a servant but not to
her. Then, a sudden pain strikes her head and she has to sit down.
Julio goes over to Virginia’s office looking for her. But
Virginia’s assistant tells her she left with Roxana. Seems they are both out
together at the place that looks like a McDonalds with the play area so that Diego
can be entertained. Virginia gets a text from Julio wanting to know where the
heck she is. Roxana tells her to not respond, but Virginia gets nervous decides
to leave.
Rulo’s co-conspirator approaches Ramón as he is eating
and asks about the work he is doing on that car that is under warranty. He says
he is busy with it and is honoring the guarantee. Rulo and his friend talk
about it and decide that Ramón is not suspicious, only thinks it had to do with
faulty parts.
Antonio and Marg leave the courthouse and he asks how she
thinks the judged seemed. Marg thinks the judge was very receptive, but reminds
him that the law almost always favors the mothers’ rights in these cases. He
still wants to go for custody. He gives her a quick hug and leaves. Marg looks
sad.
Virginia returns to her store and Julio finds her. He
grabs her by the arm and says, “What did you do with that cassette?” “Why do
you think I have it?” says Virginia. “Because I already know you.” says Julio.
He grabs her purse and pulls out the missing cassette! Julio says, “And what
were you going to do with this?” Virginia lies and says she was going to give
it back to Jorge and tell him that his father was only interested in taking
advantage of Juana, that’s why she took it. She finally gets him to agree that
if he ends up being the custodian of the money, he will never leave her. Of
course Julio agrees to that.
When the get home Julio asks Luisa where Jorge is and he’s
not home. He then asks her to make coffee. He takes the cassette and places it
in Jorge’s bottom dresser drawer, obvious for him or anyone who opens the
drawer to see. Luisa comes back with the coffee and she continues her chores of
putting away clothes. She discovers the cassette as she puts away Jorge’s clean
clothes.
Jorge comes home and Luisa comes excitedly running out to
Jorge saying she found it the cassette! (Luisa
then discreetly calls Juana). They
play the video and determine it is still intact. Julio says he will take care
of the cassette while Jorge goes to tell Andrea.
Jorge then goes running to Andrea’s place to give her the
good news and they excitedly embrace and end up in a romantic kiss. (music begins) After that kiss, Andrea
decides it was a mistake. Jorge says he is in love with her, but she says that
they cannot pursue this relationship. But she tells him “only cousins or
nothing.” She tells him she does not feel the same about him. He leaves and tells
her he was only there to tell her about the cassette.
Julio and Virginia keep talking about how this will
benefit everyone even her. He again promises to never leave her and to always
be by her side. (Of course we can tell he’s
lying.) Later, Julio tells Luisa that he wanted to tell Juana about the
cassette. Meanwhile, he’s on his way to see Don Pedro to tell him the good news
and show him the video.
Juana calls Fabi to let her know that the cassette has
been found! Fabi and Ramón are overjoyed. She shares the information with her
Tío Antonio and calls her Tía Margarita. Good news travels fast!
Jorge gets back home and Luisa notices that something is
wrong. Jorge denies anything is wrong and says it’s just been an emotional day.
Osvaldo wants to know what is going on, but Jorge defers to Luisa to tell him.
Julio has cleverly made copies of the video and gives a
copy to Don Pedro who will be taking it to the judge shortly.
At Luisa’s place where Juana and Ramón are living, Fabi
is visiting they all happily discuss about the reappearance of that video. Juana
is thankful to God that the video was found and believes it was God will for
them to have it. Fabi wants to know if after she gets the insurance if she will
come back and live with them. Juana doesn’t think so because of Horrortensia’s
threat to reopen the case against Ramón. However, first they want to see what
Horrortensia’s reaction to the insurance policy really being valid will be.
At Porfirio’s law office, Porfirio asks Marg about
another case she is working on. Marg apologizes and tells him it’s not done yet
and doesn’t know where he mind has been. “I know where your mind has been. It’s
been on that subject of Antonio making her feel badly. She laments about how
she is taking his custody case and how difficult it is to be near Antonio.
Porfirio lets her know he knows how she feels when the person you love doesn’t
know you are alive. She asks why he hasn’t told her about who he is interested
in, is she married or what? No, Porfi says. “She is in love with someone else.”
Marg says, “That really hurts, doesn’t it.” Porfi says, “Very much.” Before he
leaves her office, he tells her at least the situation she had with Antonio
freed her up from living with her mother.
Francisco is at home and receives a call from a lawyer at
a collection agency regarding four months of rent payments for an office that
are due. They are giving him a week to come up with the money before they start
action against him. (He’s a doctor with a
good job, what the heck does he do with his money?)
Benito gets home with a large box. He takes some selfies
of himself to send to Luisa and she sends him one of herself looking all
puckered up. The message he sent to her said: “Hurry up dear, my boiler is
ablaze!”
Later we see him dancing under lights and disco ball
dressed in a disco dancing suit. He is excited about being in a night of
passion with Luisa.
Margarita arrives at Fabi and Andrea’s place. She wants
to know why she isn’t celebrating. Andrea says she is just tired. They decide
to make some dinner together.
Roxana calls Agustín and tells him everything is perfect.
She is waiting for the perfect time to leave. Diego comes to the room and
Agustin asks to speak to him, but Roxana and Agustín are surprised by Diego’s
reaction. Diego firmly tells him he does not want Agustín to be novios with his
mother and that he wants his mom and dad back together. Case closed. Roxana
gets off the phone to go try to talk Diego. She tells Diego that Agustín didn’t
deserve that treatment and she thought he liked Agustín. Diego explains that he
once liked him, but no longer likes Agustín anymore. Roxana tells him that they
are a couple now and they are all going to live in Miami. But Diego will have
none of it and says to her that he has said a thousand times he does not want
to leave. Then he asks to be left alone.
Julio arrives at Luisa’s home while Ramón, Fabi, and
Juana are eating. He brings them the copy of the video that they are all dying
to see. They put it on and all gather to watch Ricardo and Caty go through the
litany of reasons of who they don’t want having the insurance and finally come
up with Juana.

In spite of spewing bitter bile, Horrible was right when she told Mags, “It doesn’t matter. His ex will always be part of his life.” When children are involved, that bond is for life.

Steve, "kissing cousins" would seem to sum it up. I'm still thinking the adopted child is Andrea. It would seem obvious that it's Jorge but I'm going for the curve ball here. Kirby, Andrea knows it's wrong, but it doesn't stop the yearning. Reality really ramped that up for her. She got what she wanted but can't handle it.
Julio thinks he can bend everything and everyone to his will. Juana will be more formidable than he thinks.

Diana, no that was before Irma. I had taken some post Irma and could not really see much. So in the comparisons, I decided I liked that shot of a blue sky and water, so I just flung it up here.

The conversation between Margarita and Porfirio was amusing. Didn't he tell her a few days ago that he always wanted to be more than a friend to her? The only explanation of her cluelessness is that she has so many concerns in her life at this moment, she is so distracted, that she cannot add two and two together with Porfirio.
The scene of watching the video was touching. Especially Fabiola's reactions. How she almost had a shock when she first saw her parents. Then the look of sadness and nostalgia when they were talking about their princesas. Then the look of agreement and admiration when they ruled out the grandma. And then the look of emotion and affection when they decided on Juana.

The video also clears up another mystery, what were Ricardo's intentions. The parents mention that they will change the policy to the girls when they are of age. In Ricardo's mind what does "they are of age" represent? The girls are both adults and they never changed the policy. Possibly just forgot too or didn't see the urgency. Should Juana really get the money and manage or turn it over to the girls? I think she should turn it over. They are adults. I don't think that will happen though.

Yeah, kissing cousins. You grow up together ,and then suddenly you're teen and he's a teen and tall, blonde, and blueeyed. You do not like his girl friends. He does not like your boyfriends. Cruel crushes. I do not think that ANdrea and JOrge are actually related...either one of them is adopted or some kind of cheating happened in one of the marriages. Will there be DNA tests in the future for some reason?
I am still hopeoing that Juana reforms Julio because right now he is not a nice guy. However, the love of a good woman could change that.

Kirby, thank you for that beautiful masterpiece...everything looks so serene...if only our lives could be as such on a daily basis...but Mother Nature has a mind of her own. I'm sure the fat little rats will come around...poor babies they're probably still traumatized; shall we say they have PTSD? Do they need meds? naahhh, just more of that wonderful TLC and treats you give them. ...and I'm glad you have your SUBTLE ways, it keeps me laughing :-)

My favorite scene yesterday was Diegito telling miss Roxy that "for the thousandth time NOOOOO" he is adorable and she is stupid. She did however set Virginia straight and allowed the tape to be "found", so Kudos for that Rox.
Benito and Luisa are the icing on the cake for me, they are such a fun couple, I hope Fredesvina is not going to be a problem for them.
I feel bad for Porfirio but he should move on, if there is anything going to happen with Maggie, he has to make her jealous first. She has to see what she has lost in order to appreciate him.

Actually, Juana is already on to Julio. She knew he was up to something even before the Horror contested the signature. She had mentioned to both Luisa and Don Pedro that she felt there was something fishy about Julio' s sudden interest in and "atenciones" with her and promised Pedro not to agree to do anything with the money without first consulting with him. Julio has definitely underestimated her intelligence and overestimated his power of persuasion.

1. There are 26 states in the U.S.A. where first cousin marriage is legal.
2. First cousin marriage in Canada, Mexico, and all European countries is legal.
To us, it does sound very weird because it seems to taboo. But the truth is (and not that I'm advocating cousin marriages) they are a lot more common than we think.
3. Franklin D. Rooselvelt was married to his cousin, Eleanor. (I think they may have been either 2nd cousins or cousins once removed.)
There really are very few problems with first cousins marrying and having children, unless there is a disease that runs in the family such as Tay Sachs disease.
One thing that Jorge said was "We are not the first set of cousins to fall in love and we will not be the last." Apparently even the character does not find the relationship to be taboo.
I knew someone a long time ago who fell in love with her first cousin and married him. Their babies were just fine. They had not grown up together and when they met had an instant attraction. There was no law that forbade the marriage.
