Enamorandome De Ramon 9/12/17 Chapter 24: News About MIA cassette Spreads faster than wild fire

Repeated scene: Jorge and Andrea are at Don Pedro’s office and realize that the video on the cassette is not the correct video. Jorge looks dumbfounded with this revelation.

New scene:

Jorge, Andrea and Don Pedro agree that the cassette must be at the house, so they agree to go look for it immediately.

Ramon comes into Fabi’s office and tells Fabi with the big smile that he is very happy to see her because he was dreaming about her all night. She on the other hand was having nightmares, because Hortencia the Horrible (HTH) was up to no good again. She begins to tell Ramon everything about the Margarita and Antonio incident and how she kicked margarita to the curb. Ramon is sorry but has to confess that good old Grammy is batty. Fabi Agrees.

Dalia walks in and tells Fabiola that there is a call from a client complaining about her car acting up again after it has been fixed by the shop. Fabi gets on the phone apologizes to the client, asks where she (client) is at, Fabi is sending a tow truck to get her. Client is livid (rightfully so since she paid for a new part and Mr. Rulo pulled a fast one with her car and installed a used part instead). After hanging up Fabi goes out to the shop and tells Rulo that a client is complaining about a car he fixed (he knows why, so stop pretending Rulito) at that time Antonio walks in and hears the problem, Rulo offers to take a look and “fix” the problem, but Antonio says nah thanks bob, Ramon will do it. (Antonio was not born yesterday – Rulito) Rulo knows that he is indeed threading on thin ice, (good luck trying to cover this one up dude).

In Porfirio’s office, Porfi and Vero are discussing the fun times they have had recently, he says that there is no single bone in his body that does not ache, he laughs she tells him that it is good for him. She is all googly eyes, they continue talking and then they discuss her poems, by the way she just happens to have a sample of her poems right there with her, if he doesn’t mind she would like him to read them. He takes them and agrees to read them. She is over the moon, but does not show it too much. She leaves.

Then Margarita walks into Porfirio’s office and begins to tell him about her recent problems with HTH, and how she was kicked out of her house because Virginia the “metiche” (nosy rosy) told HTH that she and Antonio were lovers. Porfirio pretends this is news to him. He knew she was seeing a man, but had NOOOO idea it was Antonio (liar, liar pants on fire). He nonetheless offers her his house, she is welcome to stay there. Oh no need Amigo she is about to get her own apartment anyway but thanks for the offer. Margarita then tells him the boohoo story about Diegito being the other problem because now he is mad that Antonio and she are/were together and Antonio has decided that they should cool their engines for a little bit until Diego calms down and gets used to the Idea that Roxana and Antonio are history and that Antonio has a right to move on. (Little man is in charge here). Porfirio offers some words of consolation, at least you are still friends, better than nothing right? (ay ay, he is talking more to himself here). Margarita then notices the book of poems and asks Porfirio what is that, he tells her it’s some poems Veronica wrote. She takes a peak and likes what they sound like, sounds like what she needs right now. Can she borrow it? Sure go right ahead, he is not even interested in them anyway.

Virginia walks into her store, and her assistant tells her the door had been left unlock, but now worries nothing is missing, oh good. “What did you come for anyway?” (otra metiche – another nosy rosy), Virginia is not sure what to say so she says to pick up papers. (Not sure why she has to make up a story here, it’s her store, she can be there whenever she wants, no explanation needed, but she’s up to no good and feels the weight of guilt)

Don Pedro on the road, with cute mute, and Virginia’s victim. He (Don Pedro) talking to the court saying that he will file a request to stay the decision on the court’s order pertaining to the insurance signature. He then tells CM and VV, that they must find the video, it has to be at home.

Margarita in her office is talking to the court as well, on another matter. She says that she is going to file a petition for custody for her client to go along with his petition for divorce. She hangs up and then continues reading the book of poems. It’s written for me she says because it is about lost love and longing for the one you love.
Virginia is at her desk having anxiety over what Julio said to her earlier, that if he had money he would leave her because he could take care of his money problems.

Julio and his secretary discussing work related issues, not sure what exactly but the bottom line is that he realizes he left some information at home so he must go and retrieve it.

Luisa walks into the building on her way to work and Benito sees her and pulls her over to him, and kisses her and tells her that tonight he is going to….we are not privy to that info because he tells her to the ear, but what we can surmise is that it must be something good because she gets very excited. (Lol, these guys are too much)
At shop the lady whose misfortune was to have Rulo fix her car is complaining, and rightly so. Antonio and Fabi try to calm her down because the car has a warranty with them, and they will fix it.
At Julio’s house Jorge, Don Pedro and Andrea get there and start looking for the cassette, they toss and turn everything. Luisa asks what’s up and they tell her about the video that Ricardo and his wife made, where Juana is chosen to be the beneficiary, and blah, blah, blah. They all continue looking for it, now with Luisa’s help.
Veronica walks in to Margarita’s office to ask about a case, she gets ready to leave when she sees that Maggie has her book of poems, asks her what she is doing with it and Maggie explains that Porfirio let her borrow it. She just stares at her and leaves upset.  Veronica in a hissy puff Runs to Porfirio’s office and is upset at him for letting Maggi borrow the book of poems, it has many intimate thoughts that she let HIM borrow, because of course it is perfectly normal amongst  colleagues, right? Porfirio who is not as dense as I thought thinks that maybe it was not a good idea to let Maggie borrow it (ya think?) and tells Vero that he will go retrieve this very intimate book of poems.
Porfirio goes back to Maggie to get the book of intimate poems (BIP) back. He explains that he didn’t realize that Vero had only intended to open her heart to Porfirio, and not to others. Maggie thinks it’s odd, unless, uhm. Well if Vero wants to open her heart to Porfi, does Porfi want to open his heart to Vero? Porfi’s answer. “No, does it matter to you?” Maggie says “No as long as you don’t push me aside.” Ok then, leaves with BIP
Antonio and Fabiola discussing his situation with Maggie, and how everyone agrees that HTH is a 100% foolproof witch. No worries he will not let that witch mess with him. Fabi supports him fully, she hates HTH anyway. Antonio calls Pedro to try to discuss the issue with the property, but Pedro is too busy searching for the missing cassette. So Antonio leaves him a message.
Jorge is devastated, and sounds apologetic, tells them video was there, and he does not know what happened. Julio walks in and asks what’s up?

Since he couldn’t get Don Pedro on the phone Antonio calls margarita to ask if she can research the property issue. She is glad to hear from him and joyfully agrees to do the research, and before she can say anything else Antonio hangs up.

Porfirio returns BIP to Vero and apologizes profusely even offers to take her out, but guess what Porfi she is going to milk this cow and play like she is so offended. He leaves resigned to play the part of the bad boy, and she smirks because her little game is working.

Back at chaos central Jorge and the gang tell Julio about the MIA cassette, and the contents of the video. (You can see Julio’s interest peek). So Julio enlists for the search party, and tells everyone to keep looking.
Luisa sneaks out to call Juana, she spills the beans about the video. On the other end Juana is happy to hear the news but not so happy about the missing cassette. She will light a candle to San Juditas maybe this time he will answer her prayers.
As Julio continues to try to find the cassette he very conveniently  remembers the conversation he had with Virginia (the one where he told her he would be out of there if he had money) and correctly assumes she may have something to do with the disappearance of the cassette, because Jorge has told everyone that the only other person in the house when he went into the shower was none other than the Chismosa Virginia (this here is where Columbo takes out his little note pad and pencil and jots something down)

Now the spreading of the news continues when Juana calls Ramon to give him the good and the bad news about cassette, I won’t repeat it because well we all know it by now.   Ramon proving that he is his mother’s son runs to tell Fabi about the cassette. The news runs like wild fire. She is very happy, but very upset, and signs of her bratty-self appear for a bit.

Osvaldo tells Susana that the only way to make money to buy a new car, is to get back to his business of selling test answers. (The real reason why he came back to you babe). Oh lucky coincidences champ, she can help because she is friends with many of the medical students and they may be interested in an easy A. (You don’t say, wow Osvaldo sure is “lucky”) (wink, wink)

Jorge feels horrible (thanks to his own momster mom) and apologizes to Andrea, for losing the cassette. Julio barges into Virginia’s office and accuses her of taking the cassette, he tells her he knows she took it. Guiltily she starts wheezing because she is very nervous.  Julio could care less, he tells her that he will let her think about it, if she does not return it he will tell Jorge she took it.

Fabi calls Jorge to see if they found the cassette, nope no luck. Bummer, Antonio walks in and Fabi is next to hand over the flaming torch, tells him the whole story about well you all know what. (Hint: MIA Cassette).

Juana is praying to Saint Jude, please help find the cassette so the girls can get their money.   Luisa calls her with an update, but no dice nothing yet. Sorry sister no cassette yet but don’t despair yet Luisa is on the case of the missing evidence.

Jorge and Andrea continue to talk about the MIA cassette, and then they think maybe Virginia knows where it went, so Jorge calls his mom to ask about the cassette. “No son I have no idea what you are talking about, I did not take it” (keeps her fingers crossed). Jorge hangs up on her while Virginia considers throwing cassette away, or keeping it because what’s worse to lose her beloved Julio or to hurt her own flesh and blood? (Uhm decisions, decisions). On the other end Jorge is feeling so guilty and Andrea well she can’t see thru her frustration so asks Jorge to leave her alone. Jorge obliges, but leaves devastated for costing the girls their money again.

Virginia is about to throw the cassette away. She asks god for help, she really seems torn, but to quote a famous character “stupid is as stupid does” she can’t complain about her situation, she walked right into this one.

Fabi and Dalia are discussing the MIA cassette (because Dalia also found out about cassette, at this point in the TN the only one that doesn’t know about the existence of the MIA cassette is of all people HTH) Fabi can’t concentrate on her work, wants to go help find it.

Antonio goes in to tell Fabi he’s going to pick up Diego.

Outside in the shop area, Antonio runs into Ramon, and Tony tells Ramon that he never doubted Juana’s honesty, well that’s strange because Julio told Juana to watch out for Antonio. (The plot thickens) Well that’s strange, now Antonio feels he needs to make sure Juana knows he trusts her. Well awesome Ramon says “good because I think you are a good man”
Well what do you know Julio out of the blue with no reason at all (yeah right, cha-ching, cha-ching!) goes to visit Juana, he makes chit chat about her taco stand, she tells him she needs a permit, he will try to help her. Julio then pretends he does not know about the cassette when Juana tells him about it, but it’s lost now. No worries good ole Julio has your back. (Well Juana is no dummy) and says “oh really, just like when you defended my son against HTH’s accusations” oh well that was different he was stuck between a rock and a hard witch.
Don Pedro comes to see Juana to tell her the news, but news travels faster than you old man. He sees Julio the vulture, and wonders why he is there.

Margarita calls Antonio tells him she has talk to court about custody case, Hey maybe they can meet for lunch to discuss, on the other end of the line Antonio does not think it’s wise, because he is going to go get Diego and have lunch with him. Ok then bye. Maggie gets the hint but wonders why Antonio can so easily turn what they had off so easily. (Maybe because you moved in while he was still smoldering for Foxy Roxy)

Fabi calls margarita tells her about the cassette (yes she still didn’t know). Fabi asks can Andrea and Jorge testify since they saw the video. Nope they will need the evidence. Margarita wonders why everything has to be so complicated for her family.
Juana asks the same question of Don Pedro. Can Andrea and Jorge testify? Don Pedro says no, they need proof.
Julio after having made his claim of loyalty to the money, I mean to Juana leaves, Don Pedro (who also was not born yesterday) asks Juana if she trusts Julio.
Roxana having just arrived at the airport calls Virginia, Virginia thanks her lucky stars because she thinks she is going to go crazy, Roxy can’t understand why but Virgi tells her come to her office and she will explain the mess she put herself in.

Pedro tells Juana he has never trusted Julio the weasel so gives her advice to watch out for Julio. Juana is no dummy either and tells him she won’t do anything without consulting don Pedro first.

Fabi can’t work, she’s pacing up and down in front of Dalia’s desk because she can’t concentrate she should go look for cassette. Luisa calls Dalia and Fabi is a tad rude and wants to talk to Luisa first, but Dalia holds on to her phone and sends Fabi on her merry way. Dalia explains to Luisa that Fabi the “rudee” was trying to talk to her about cassette, but never you mind what’s up mommy? No cassette yet dear but you need stop being so negative with Fab and start learning how to be a good loser.

Fabi having just left Dali talking to Luisa goes to her love and tells him, “I need you to hug me” What is wrong Fabi, well since you ask, she is losing her mind, it’s not the money really it’s that she loves and misses  Juana, and she wants her back at home making her the quesadillas. Ramon calms her down, the cassette will show up, and “hey thanks for loving my mom so much” He hugs her and calms her down. Don’t cry baby girl…Dalia sees their interaction from behind a gate and turns completely green. (Karma girl you should her given her the phone).

Thanks for the quick recap. I missed the show due to time switch to 6PM CST.
Writers are really working on Viewerville's last nerve with the missing cassette tape. Virginia can sure lie. I expect Roxanna to support her decision. Just hope they don't destroy the tape which might be criminal. Even throwing it away could be considered an obstruction of telenovela justice. But if they flip it into a waste basket or garbage I am sure St. Jude (-- she should be praying to St Anthony as well) and Luisa will find it.
Get set for more drama tomorrow.

Thank You Sandie. The time swapperoo bit me, as many of us are not watching and waiting Looney Vision's every mooove with bated breath. You are a sanity saver, thanks again.

When it finally dawns on Jorge and others what really happened to the MIA and what kind of smelly turd his Mom is, may the wrath of all burn her ass good. Jorge will never trust her again, and realistically, should not have to begin with. You are truly an adult when you see your parents as they really are. Jorge may be about to achieve that level, painful as it is sometimes.

OT: Riding out a hurricane when you are near the eye is not for the squeamish.

I don't know how the squirrels do it ! :-)

Kirby, exceptional screen shot. Amazing.

Yes, Sandie was a "sanity saver". Am posting my comment now.

Diana

Sandie: I went ROFLOL at the Columbo picture.

Sandie, smart, savvy and spunky.

"Ramon is sorry but has to confess that good old Grammy is batty" and "signs of her bratty-self appear for a bit" had me smiling away.

I did not know that this episode was airing early last night. Rgv Chick posted the warning (thank you!) but I didn’t see it until this was well underway and only saw about the last 20 minutes.

"it’s that she loves and misses Juana, and she wants her back at home making her the quesadillas" would have been so sweet Fabi. had you just left out the part about the food.

Loved the screen shots, especially Peter Falk "this here is where Columbo takes out his little note pad and pencil and jots something down)". Excellent.

"On the other end Jorge is feeling so guilty and Andrea well she can’t see thru her frustration so asks Jorge to leave her alone". That was one of the few scenes I saw. Honestly? I was annoyed as I thought Andrea was being unnecessarily harsh to Jorge. My feeling was tempered though by your reminding us how hard this really has been for Andrea and her sister. Thank you.

"Maggie gets the hint but wonders why Antonio can so easily turn what they had off so easily. (Maybe because you moved in while he was still smoldering for Foxy Roxy)" expertly hit the nail on the head.

Can she borrow it? Sure go right ahead, he is not even interested in them anyway. Ohh Porfirio. Sigh. What you know and understand about women would not fill a thimble. Here beautiful Veronica shares her soul and you give the poems to Marg to read? Tsk, tsk. I was giving you way too much credit.

"Well if Vero wants to open her heart to Porfi, does Porfi want to open his heart to Vero? Porfi’s answer. “No, does it matter to you?” Maggie says “No as long as you don’t push me aside.” Porfi still wants Mags. Mags wants Antonio but also Porfi's devotion. Ack.

"He leaves resigned to play the part of the bad boy, and she smirks because her little game is working". So Sandie, not seeing any of these scenes, is Vero playing Profirio?? If so, that shocked me. Color me gullible.

The biggest loser is/was Jorge. Two terrible parents and brother.

What will Virginia do?

Julio's sliming up to Juana should have raised her radar. And her hackles. Can't take his looks away but his character is really creepy. Have we seen any genuine affection from him to anyone????

Sandie, you were a lifesaver. Thank you!

Diana

You girls go ahead and drool over Julio. Which reinforces my long standing belief that third semester Calculus and Differential Equations is much easier for the average guy to comprehend than women's flaky attraction to men. Julio is unkept looking and just has that slimne ball look. With the untrimmed beard, and hair, put a few holes in his clothes and he could be on a Florida street corner with a crumpled cardboard sign.

IE: I don't care for him myself. If he could grow a bushy tail, I might reconsider.

I hope Vero does not turn out to be a bad one too. Is there not some TN equation of (Bad people - Good people) = ~0 ? Give or take one or two?

Here we have (Bad People - Good People) = ABOUT 47 Arrrgh

Thanks Sandie!! Completely missed the episode. Now that everyone knows about the tape Virginia has to cough it up. She's not a bad person. Not a super great person but not evil. I think she will hand it over.

Thank you so much, Sandie, for your snappy recap. I am another who missed this episode because I was otherwise engaged.. Making dinner..and did not realize the time change!

Kirby....As to women's flaky attraction to men, I can only speak for me. I have always had an appreciation for tall, dark, and handsome...sana bushy tail..that could be a dealbreaker. I first. saw Marcelo (Julio) in my first ever telenovela Alborada . He played the bodyguard \righthand man of.Don Luis (Fernando Colunga Marcos

Kirby, I can't disagree with your assessment of Julio's current "luke". He is frazzled internally and externally. He plays brooding well. Almost too well. I can't ever see the actor playing a character who radiates constant happiness.

I like intensity and character - Alberto Estrella. Huge sigh. But I'm not immune to masculine beauty :)

Like Susanlynn, I have fond memories of my first MC sighting. Mine was in Pasion (a veritable feast also having Levy, Rulli, Colunga in addition to Cordoba). And my favorites, Susana Gonzales and Marisol (Juana here)...

Vero is almost too beautiful. I wanted her to be a Madonna, inside and out. Initially I thought Profirio would be with Mags. Maybe that will still come to pass. I don't think Antonio will be able to get Rox out of his system.

Diana

Diana, Marcelo's role in Passion was very similar to the part that he played in Alborada..loyal servant . In Alborada , he went above and beyond the call of duty and married his don's former mistress who was pregnant by the leading lady's husband. #itscomplicatedtobethegoodguy I thought that Marcelo was destined to become a galan.

It looks as though that friends with benefits thing did not work out that well for Marg. She was evidently just a placeholder for FoxyRoxy.Does that friends with benefits deal ever work out well?

I'm mad that Porfirio isn't giving Vero a chance and admits as much to Margarita. I don't know if Vero will turn out to be a good person or just a good manipulator with an agenda but at least Porf is having some fun.

Sandie, thanks for the recap. fortunately, I had left the TV on while I was busy with something else and heard the theme to "Ramon" so I was one of the few that got to watch the episode. You managed to retell the tale beautifully.

The MIA cassette wildfire took pretty much of the episode. That's the one thing I've noticed about this TN...people telling each other about something over and over which uses up a lot of the air time...but I still like the TN.

I, too, think Virginia will return the pic, but I think she is going to take Julio's advice and give it to him, or someone else, so they can place it somewhere where it can be found without pinpointing her as the thief.

When Porfirio left Veronica after he returned her poems, she had this look that just didn't give me a good feeling...is she on her way to be a manipulator? I hadn't thought about it, but she did "lure" him into giving her a job and she has been getting him to do very different things. So I think I'll put her on the fence for now.

Kirby, I may be the only female here who agrees with you about Julio...I just don't like him and when I don't like someone's personality/character, I don't like anything about them.

What an breathtaking pic you provided us today, thank you!

Susanlynn, I think Marg sort of threw herself at Antonio, well before he was ready. I think he liked her but was barely starting to think of her in another "light" when the flame lit. He hadn't even had time to digest Roxy's betrayal. I don't think friends with bennies works out for most.

Carvivlie, I missed Vero's scenes last night. Understanding little of the dialogue, I've come to rely a great deal on what I see rather than what I hear so will need to see more. Whether Vero is sincere or not, I would think Prof deserves credit for not pursuing her if his heart isn't in it. He has it bad for Marg. I hope she doesn't run back to him if things don't work out with Antonio (which is anyone's guess at the is point). He deserves more.

Diana

The beautiful vibes coming out of my monitor drowns out the drone of my generators outside. Happy Day my patio Pals. Sun is out, not even up to the nineties YET, and after the Splendid awesome, funny, spell binding recap I don't even feel like I missed the episode. As I read away this morning, I could see in my mind's eye the expressions on everyone's faces. Thank You everyone.

Kirbo

See RGV, men are different. RealStella, for instance. I don't like her at all. But I would fasten my seat belt and give her a kj Jr. :-)

Yeah..here we go with the telenovela cliche..Vero wants Por but Poor Por wants Marg but Marg wants Ant but Ant wants FoxyRoxy but Foxyroxy wants Augie..or maybe Ant. I started out writing this sentence using the verb "love" but then decided that the verb "want," was much more accurate.

Diana..people today seem to jump into physical relationships so quickly and it often does not end well. #geeisleptwithyoubutknownothingaboutyou

Kirby..I am glad that the storm has passed and things are maybe going to get better. Just started to rain here.

Thanks for comments everyone.

Diana: the quesadilla comment was me being sarcastic. Fabi was actually sweet, but a little bratty in that scene. Also I don't think Vero is playing Porfirio, but she smirked because she made him feel guilty about the whole poem book incident, in her mind she now has his attention.

Kirby, the things you are willing to do! Gives new meaning to the word "selfless" :)

Ahh Sandie. Thank you! Now I'm really laughing knowing you "fabricated" (sorry couldn't help myself) the quesadilla comment. Very funny - especially as I can see the sometimes bratty Fab saying exactly that! No mean intentions but I could easily see those words coming from her lips :)

And appreciate the info on Vero. He should feel guilty! He had no right giving her poems to Marg...

Diana

Yes, Kirby, I know quite a few men who would just put a sack over a woman's head (if it doesn't go well with her body) just to give Jr. what he wants :-P

ALERT ALERT Kirbo now has Monopoly Power again.
Gensets are out back hanging around with their friends boasting about how many gallons of Gasolina they guzzled the past few days and burping.

Kirbo has every light in and ON the house on in midafternoon ....because he CAN.

Washer and dryer are furtively glancing at that mountain of dirty laundry.

Squirrels have relented in their accusations because they "discovered" a dollop of Jif on what's left of their fence.

I had initially thought Vero had sort of a student/teacher crush on Porfy, and did until last night. If she is sharp she will see that he has zero genuine romantic interest in her after the Poems snafu and will get over it. She looks to be quite a catch on the surface, and should be smart enough to not waste her feelings on a rock.

Kirby, so glad you got power, well your house got power, I'm sure you didn't lose any of your personal power...jajaja!

I still think Vero has a hidden agenda. I Wonder how much younger than Porfirio she's supposed to be. She had said he was very successful and and a well-known attorney...could she be using him as a stepping stone?

Glad your power is back Kirby. Even the squirrels are returning. I'd say Jiffy is just as good an excuse as anything else!

Here's hoping nothing toxic was imbibed by our feathered friends.

I'm not sure how I feel about Vero and Porfirio, especially as to what (if anything) motivates her.

Hope we get to see them tonight.

Diana

Kirby..so..where do you think those friendly neighborhood squirrels went when Irma came to town? As to the mountain of laundry, I can relate. I had that mountain after a week away in June and a week and a half away in August.

Diana, I think Porf is leading Vero on. He is doing all of this outside of work stuff and agrees to read her poetry but then tells Marge nothing is going on. I kinda feel like he is using Vero. He isn't waving off her advances.

I have been trying to figure that out. I had several days to scan the trees looking for a squirrel wind sock and none were to be found. I didn't see any on TV mixed in that mass exodus up 75 North either, so I really think they just find something big and heavy to crawl under.

Laundry. When the rain is horizontal, ANY thing you do gets you soaked and requires a complete change. It adds up fast. Throw it in a wonderful machine, push button...leave. Magic? Same with drying machine.

Thanks Carvivlie. I look forward to seeing more of this tonight as I really don't know enough at this point to judge.

Don't squirrels hibernate in trees? Although that would have been a terrifying hideaway considering the wind gusts.

Diana

"Squirrel windsock".. Now, there is a visual for you. Thank you for the gigggle..I am always appreciative for any giggles that cone NY way. You also gave me a visual describing wet laundry. I had a flashback of Hubba on a ladder trying to clear the gutter of our two story house during a driving rainstorm...he who is afraid of heights. Memories

I saw a photo online of two parrots looking in the window of somebody's hotel room during Irma .

Come my way. ..Thank you autocorrect.

Thank you Sandie! I darn nearly missed it last night because of the time change. But thank you so much for your cleverly written recap! I loved the pictures, especially of Lt. Columbo! This is a job for Columbo to solve. Who had motive? Who had access? Who would benefit? It all points to Virginia, but no one knows she has a secret motive except her husband Julio

OT..kirby ..Just got an email from my friend who owns a home in Naples but who is currently in Delaware. Her property did not have too much damage, but now she is worried about the water coming down from North Florida .

Susie tell her that most of the N Fla water will have run off the peninsula before it gets to Naples, unless she is right smack on the water. Not the Gulf, but Naples has thousands of those little manmade 'waterfront' communities where they dug all these parallel ditches in the swamp and sold it as waterfront property.

Kirby..thanks for that information. Perhaps that will ease her mind.

Thanks everyone for your comments. One thing about cousin relationships that I looked up:

1. There are 26 states in the U.S.A. where first cousin marriage is legal.

2. First cousin marriage in Canada, Mexico, and all European countries is legal.

To us, it does sound very weird because it seems to taboo. But the truth is (and not that I'm advocating cousin marriages) it really is a lot more common than we think.

3. Franklin D. Rooselvelt was married to his cousin, Eleanor. (I think they may have been either 2nd cousins or cousins once removed.) Even Albert Einstein was married to his first cousin.

There really are very few problems with first cousins marrying and having children, unless there is a disease that runs in the family such as Tay Sachs disease.

One thing that Jorge said was "We are not the first set of cousins to fall in love and we will not be the last." Apparently even the character does not find the relationship to be taboo.

I knew someone a long time ago who fell in love with her first cousin and married him. Their babies were just fine. They had not grown up together and when they met had an instant attraction. There was no law that forbade the marriage.
