Mi marido tiene familia Monday 9/11/17 Capítulo 15: Eugenio Has Good News

The episode starts off with a guitar playing a waltz that sounds like "La zandunga" which just happens to be from the state of Oaxaca where the novela takes place. On to the action!

Blanca's home--Ana comes to see Blanca and she is not doing well at all. Blanca asks if she is ill. No, she just has not been able to sleep because she is so afraid and feels so alone. Blanca notes that Ana is a woman that has practically everything. Ana disagrees: she has nothing. She has things but they cannot give her love. Her life has been hell. She feels so empty and that is what has caused her to commit so many mistakes. Blanca asks her what mistakes is she talking about. Ana has always been so angry not being able to have children Blanca knows how difficult that has been but Ana always has them to count on. Ana just thinks she is a miserable person. Blanca tells her how pretty, tender, kind she is and how she deserves so many good things. Ana disagrees telling Blanca she is much worse than she could even imagine. Ana relives in her mind taking Juan Pablo to the orphanage and just leaving him there telling the orphanage personnel she just couldn't keep him with her. Blanca tells her to just let it all out. She reassures Ana that she is her friend. Ana has always supported her. Does Ana think that Blanca would still be there if Ana had not been there for her? Ana tells her how good she is. Blanca says she is good, too, and that her husband does not deserve not even one her tears. At the end of the conversation, Blanca mentions Eugenio who won't even tell her why he is so nervous. Ana looks petrified.

Outside the Córcega's apartment--Daniela is bringing out the garbage when Gabriel Musi arrives with Julieta. He has given her a lift home and is repeating that she will be saying every night that she cannot live without Gabriel Mosi as he gets out of the car. He goes around to open the door for her. They talk on the sidewalk as Daniela watches them from behind a dumpster. Julieta is happy that they have gotten along. They tease each other. He tells her she always treats him like a bratty kid. Julieta says that to her he always will be a bratty kid. He gets it. He only wants a good hug. She only wants him to be a responsible man of good taste. They hug each other. Daniela sees it all and is sure there is something romantic going on between the two of them. She is not happy.

Julieta's place and outside---Julieta is filling Ana in on how her plans to go to New York are proceeding. She has asked for a leave from work, she has her plane tickets and now Robert has to take care of his matters but she has a lot to think about. Robert got angry with her because she criticized the Córcegas. He told her that their lost son's name was Juan Pablo. Robert was greatly moved by that. He defended the Corcégas as if they were his parents. Ana gets upset and spills coffee on herself. She leaves the building crying and physically runs into her brother-in-law Audifaz. Her bulletproof vested body guard/driver immediately is there to assist her getting into her car and going home. Audifaz has only one reaction: as Socrates would say the "biggest mystery" is man.

Ana's place--Ana is crying and praying on her bed. She is worried that if they find out the truth about her, her whole world will be destroyed. They will hate her.

Linda's workplace--Amalia stops buy. She is feeling insecure about her appearance. Amalia wants to know if she can get her a discount with the doctor and on a program. Amalia has to sign and give up her rights to the photos of her they are going to take. Linda tells her there is nothing easy about it. She is going to need a good diet, exercise and some surgeries but she is going to end up being like new. Amalia can see herself walking down that red carpet at the Grammy's. Linda stops her fantasies to get some photos of her as she is right now.

The bakery--Eugenio left Daniela in charge of the bakery as he has gone off to meet Robert at the agency. One of the bakers has a little bag for Daniela that some guy (Gabriel) left after he came in asking for her. Daniela finds a box inside of the bag. When she opens the box it turns out to be a spring loaded snake that jumps out at her (just like the old snake in the can). He has included a note that says now she can really say he is a clown.

The agency-- Eugenio and Robert meet amd the counselor has the DNA test results. It shows that there is a 99.9% probability that they are father and son. Tears abound as Eugenio and Robert hug.

Exercise class--Blanca, Belén amd Amalia are in class when a now energized Amalia gets carried away in class and soon she is the center of attention which is what she wants. Her sisters are critical of her behavior but the rest of the class applauds. Later the three sisters go out to lunch where the criticism continues. Amalia does not care because she is going to be famous and find her place in the world. It turns out that their parents left Belén and Blanca to care for Amalia. Belén wants to help her to find a husband. Amalia is sure the man for her will come along. When she leaves Belén says it is apparent that Amalia has this thing for Enzo the music teacher. Later Amalia goes looking for the music teacher. She wants him to tutor her once a week. At first, he says no but eventually gives in. She is all over him and he looks uncomfortable in a comical sort of way.

Ana's home--Tulio heard from Audifaz that Ana wasn't feeling well. He asks Ana if she is sick. Ana says he cares more about the stock market going up and down rather than if she were dying. Tulio starts criticizing her for not having been the woman he fell in love with for a while now and for not taking care of his mother. She doesn't have any children to take care of. She needs to be at her mother-in-law's beck and call. He leaves. Ana ends up on the floor screaming.

Outside in a park--Eugenio and Robert take a walk and talk about when they are going to tell their families the news. Robert needs time to process it all since it was such a surprise. Eugenio says they have plenty of time. Robert wants Eugenio to be careful telling doña Imelda. Eugenio asks if he should give her a tranquilizer. No, Robert thinks a little mezcal will do the trick. Robert has to talk to Julieta. Eugenio jokes that maybe he will need the whole bottle of mezcal for that. They both laugh at his joke. Robert wants him to know that Julieta has been his companion. He knows that she loves him and they are going to get married. She is his life. So, he wants to solve any conflicts between them. Eugenio is sure Robert knows how to manage the situation with her. As for the two of them, Robert wants them to continue getting to know each other. Eugenio gets to finally call him "son." Robert takes the toy rabbit out of his bag and tells him when he saw it he knew he had to keep his hopes alive.

The apartment building--Julieta is in a rush to leave and starts to just push her way through Linda, Marisol and Polita who are standing in the hall talking. When they confront her about the rude pushing, Julieta asks if they didn't hear her saying she was in a rush. Maybe she should say it slower and she does enunciating every syllable. She then gives thanks to all of the saints that very soon they won't be seeing each other again. Linda tells her she is disrespectful. Julieta bring up the vomit on her car incident one more time. Next, she calls Polita a scarecrow. Linda asks who does she think she is anyway when Blanca joins the scene having heard the arguing. All Blanca knows is that Julieta is causing an argument one more time. Julieta says she is just counting the days until her life changes and they can all stay behind here in their sad reality. She leaves and they all complain about her.

Eugenio and Blanca's apartment--Eugenio arrives home with a bottle of mezcal a supposed friend gave him. He manages to get Blanca to have a little and also Imelda. While he goes looking for Imelda, Blanca finds the little rabbit toy. She starts wondering what it is doing there. She threw it out. Eugenio says that it has something to do with what he wants to tell them. Eugenio gets then both seated and tells Blanca and Imelda that they need to stay calm because he has the best news ever. Juan Pablo is alive and it turns out that he is their neighbor Robert. They aren't sure whether to believe him or not. He tells them about the DNA test. Blanca can't believe that she didn't recognize him. Eugenio then tells Audifaz and Polita. Blanca and Imelda want to track Robert down right away to see him. Eugenio tells them to give Robert time.

Outside a church and at the hospital--Robert stops by a church to pray and when he leaves, he calls his adoptive father to tell him the news. He then goes to talk to Octavio about it all. He is not sure how to handle Julieta. She can't stand anyone from the family. Robert doesn't want to hurt her. It isn't just Julieta's problem; it is both of their problem.

Blanca's kitchen-- Blanca is feeling all guilty again crying and remembering how she yelled at Robert for "picking" on Julián. She was such a fool for not being able to recognize her own child.

Blanca's dining room--With Audifaz and Polita present, Imelda tells Marisol about Juan Pablo's return. Now that they are no longer worried about Juan Pablo being alive, Imelda wants to know how long it will be for him to contact the family. Why wouldn't he want to come and see them? Eugenio tells them all to give Robert some time.

Blanca"s kitchen--Blanca tells Marisol that she still feels guilty because she treated Juan Pablo very badly. She yelled at him. Also, she always thought she would recognize him if he were to return and she didn't. She ran him off. Marisol tries to calm her saying all that is part of the past. Blanca is so afraid of him rejecting her. Marisol reminds her that he is a good man. Then why hasn't he come to see them yet? Blanca needs to know. Marisol tells her to not go rushing things. Blanca has been waiting so long for him to give her a hug. Marisol assures Blanca he will give her a hug. Does Marisol think that he will love her? Will he accept her with her raggety clothes, being so ugly and smelling like onions? She is not pretty or elegant like the woman who must have raised him. Marisol makes it clear that Blanca is the only woman in the world to have that special kind of love for Juan Pablo. He is going to adore her just like they all do. She is the best mom in the whole world.

So, there is a new subplot with Amalia's makeover that could be cute.

Ana is falling apart so much more quickly from the guilt with "Juan Pablo" being so close than I had expected. Her conversation with Blanca was very uncomfortable knowing what the viewer knows. At least she feels guilty which is really saying nothing in the long run.

I liked Robert defending/explaining his relationship with Julieta to Eugenio.

This is moving relatively fast.

Lovely. Just lovely Jarifa.

Your "voice" could not have captured this heart rendering episode more perfectly.

I smiled at your title. Yes, indeed.

"She is all over him and he looks uncomfortable in a comical sort of way" and “Tulio starts criticizing her for not having been the woman he fell in love with for a while now and for not taking care of his mother” were a few of many favorites.

"He is going to adore her just like they all do". Of course he will.

Watching Eugenio and Robert sends out waves of warmth and comfort. I was still so nervous about the DNA results! But thankfully, the script wasn't flipped and the right results were revealed.

While Blanca is looking forward to a joyous reunion with her child, there is one that is still in the dark. "Julieta says she is just counting the days until her life changes and they can all stay behind here in their sad reality". Oh my. Reality? Girl, you have no idea.

Seriously, Julieta's reaction is rather a looming dark cloud that might well erupt spoiling the wonderful news. I hope she swallows her pride, her misgivings and is happy for him.

"Ana disagrees telling Blanca she is much worse than she could even imagine". Were truer words ever spoken? Part of Ana's punishment will be stomach turning fear that she will be discovered. While everyone rejoices, she will be terrified waiting to see if the other shoe drops. If I were to wish such an existence on anyone, it would be her. I'm sorry but many have had to live with not being able to have children and/or a venomous spouse. But to sit, day after day, year after year, acting as though you didn't tear a family's life asunder is unfathomable. And unforgiveable.

Audifaz, Polita and Marisol all were so happy!

"Blanca's kitchen-- Blanca is feeling all guilty again crying and remembering how she yelled at Robert for "picking" on Julián". From now on, the only tears you'll be crying Blanca are happy ones!

Thank you, thank you Jarifa!

Diana

Thank you, Diana! What a way to start my day! : )

I, too, was happy that the DNA testing/results were handled directly without any diversions. It is what we needed at this point.

ITA, about Ana. The Ana character. She is likable and could inspire a lot of sympathy except for the unforgivable act she committed and the endless pain it caused.

Julieta was just so rude and confrontational for really no reason. She is going to have a lot of thinking to do. Does she love Robert enough to suppress her ugly side to get along?

Funny how much action happens around that dumpster.

"Funny how much action happens around that dumpster". Hee, hee. So true!! :)

Diana

Hi, Jarifa.

What, now we have entered the mainstream and have daily headings? GREAT!! Your synopsis hit the right tone all the way through. Thank you!

Well, I wonder how the angst swirling around Ana will be resolved. Is there some route for her to be forgiven and atone for her sins, or is she going to go off the deep end, spiraling down into increasingly sick stuff.

I wonder about her driver/body guard. He wears a bullet proof vest, but doesn't seem to be armed. If my job was dangerous enough to require a bullet proof vest, I am sure I would want to be armed. Also, Ana treats this poor guy like a bought and paid for slave. That, as much as anything else gives me a peek into her soul.

So, last night saw everyone in the world finding out about Robert's identity minus Julieta. Uh oh.

Loved Robert prescribing alcohol to calm down his mom and grandma before receiving the paternity test news. Good call, doctor.

Diana, I couldn't agree more that Julieta is so needlessly rude and confrontational. This, of course, will be the crux of the conflict that they have to work through, but it is so unlike her actions in other settings.

What kind of pants was Gabe (is that his name?) wearing. On a woman, I guess you would call them Capris.

Thanks again, Jarifa. Great job!

David

Kirby: Hoping everything is Ok down there in the Sunshine State.

Thank you, Jarifa, for this amazing recap!

Such an emotional TN this has turned out to be...I have to have my tissue box close because if I'm not crying tears of sadness, I'm crying tears of joy. I can't wait to see Robert's first encounter with Blanca now that he is sure she is his mother, but I dread him telling Julieta....will she be able to overcome her "hate" for this family? Diana and Davi, I too agree, Julieta's behavior with this family is puzzling...could she be subconsciously feeling that this family is a threat to her and might steal some of Robert's love?

Diana, "Ana's punishment will be stomach turning fear that she will be discovered." Yes! and she is already feeling it...maybe she'll go off to the loony farm. Her conversation with Blanca was indeed, disturbing. Ana was crying and feeling guilty, but she's also been trying to keep the secret from being revealed. She is definitely the "Forsaken and unforgiveable."

Jarifa, yes, the TN is moving really fast and I really like that...do you realize this TN will be over in October?!

David, I liked that you said Julieta's behavior "...is so unlike her actions in other settings". Family seems to be her Achilles heel...and not surprising considering how she was raised and by whom.

Thank you for mentioning Gabe's pants. I did a double take last night.I readily admit I am not up on the latest fashion trends, but there is no doubt that those were absolutely worthy of the "capri" label.

RgvChick, I also am really looking forward to Blanca and Robert's scenes tonight! In terms of Julieta, I think she will need to swallow her pride and find patience and understanding for her newly found family. She has no tolerance now and has clearly reached her limit. This is going to be a shock for her. Robert has had time to process the possibility. She has had none. Her world will be set on its ear. We don't know her relationship with Robert's adoptive parents. You raise a good point about her feeling threatened. She will now have to share Robert. With many. This is going to be a challenge.

This will be over next month??? I had no idea...

Diana

Thanks so much Jarifa!!

OMG this was so good! But like everyone else the news to Juli is going to be a black hole for her. I'm glad Robert understands.

This family has been a nightmare for Juli from the beginning. First with Audifaz lying about who is paying for the renovations, to Blanca immediately disliking her when she wouldn't get off the phone. Then Blanca called her immoral for making out with Robert in the street. And on from there. Not one of them has really been nice to her or patient.

I'm hoping that Blanca, because she so misjudged Robert, that she will think maybe she misjudged Juli too and will try with her.

Rgvchick, your'e welcome. I don't know about it being over in October here. It may well be over in Mexico in October because they are on about episode 71. Good call on Julieta might feeling the family as a threat to her relationship.

David, you're welcome. I liked the mezcal "prescription", too.

Carvivlie, you're welcome. If there were just more Robert's in the world . . .

thank you Jarifa

I am loving this TN! I am sad that Ana and Tulio didn't adopt, I guess they are too selfish. Actually I suppose it spared their special kind of crazy being inflicted on a an innocent kid. Robert's adoptive family has been a model of success.

grr, I'm so impatient I can't wait for the Robert and Blanca hug and flood of feels...

too bad Eugenio and Robert aren't on the same page as too how and when to reveal to good news, Robert stated that he wanted some time to think about it, get used to it, figure out how to tell Julieta and Eugenio went straight ahead.

I hope we are spared tonight with too much of the Linda/ weird dude plot line...

Marisol was so sweet and loving with her mom.

thanks again

Rena, I was surprised too that Eugenio told everyone. Maybe they misunderstood each other. The problem is that Rob needs time but he lives two feet away from them. He can't hideout from them for a while. What I'm worried about is that Juli will run into one of the family members and they will spill the beans to her first.

OMG! Carvivlie, I hadn't thought of someone running into Juli before Robert talks to her...that would be disastrous!

I think the best thing to do would be for Rob and Juli to move out of the apartment and get one farther away. Juli needs some distance from them to rebuild the relationship. I don't think that would happen though.

Rgv, I was so worried that Juli would answer the door when Blanca and Imelda were knocking. The only family members that don't know are Linda and Dani, oh and Ari. Well the aunts too but they don't live there.

Thank you Jarifa! I sure enjoyed last night's episode. You did a wonderful job at capturing the tender emotions. I was crying through parts of it. Daniel Arenas is a superb actor.

One of my favorite parts: Robert in the church praying about the situation. I found that to be very touching. He knows it's going to be a rough road for him regarding Julieta. What if she doesn't accept it and is angry and wants to leave him? Then there is the thing about her being all ready to move to New York and now what if he no longer wants to leave? That would be a hug possibility now that he found out that the Corsegas are his true biological family. I wouldn't blame him for not wanting to go, but Juli would sure be angry about it.

Rena, you're welcome. It is too bad Robert and Eugenio could not have coordinated their notification events. This undoubtedly will lead to problems.

Cynthia, thank you! I have a feeling Robert is going to be on a roller coaster ride with Julieta. I wonder if she will still insist on moving to New York.

I just hope Juli doesn't start in on the neighbors again, Robert defends them, she says, "You act like they're your family and not me!" And in the heat of the moment he blurts out, "Well, they are!"

Just a heads up, they're showing 'Ramon' an hour early so they might show Mi Marido an hour earlier too.

Ignore last comment, Mi Marido will be shown at the same time.

Thanks for the info, Rgv. We have a hurricane benefit event going on during Ramón time.
