From Yesterday: Juana is in La-La Land having her nightmare.
She opens the door to find Count Droolio (Julio) who chases after her and
puckers his lips for a big, fat, juicy, blood-sucking kiss. Juana dashes down
the stairs to find that Count Droolio has whizzed himself to trap her and tells
her he doesn’t want to be away from her. He puckers his lips again as he grabs
her, then plants a big one on her. She screams and runs away…Juana wakes up flustered (at a dream that has
brought forth her hidden desires).
Next Morning—
Luisa arrives at work and passes quickly by Benito’s
station. After he whistles at her, she stops and asks why he didn’t show up to work
yesterday. He replies that he was planning to come, but he found his mother
with eyes wide open and incoherent. Fredes is fine, but she has forgotten how
to speak Spanish and only speaks in English; so he has to count on Ada to
interpret. Luisa is not happy that now Benito will have to spend so much time
with his cousin, but Benito insists it’s the only way he can communicate with
his mother. Luisa doesn’t buy it and tells him they won’t be able to be
together.
At the hospital, Roxana worries about her baby, not
herself, but Antonio assures her all will be fine. As she confesses that sometimes
she has hopes of being the family they used to be, the nurse calls her in.
At Andrea’s home, Juana cleans and finds an envelope with
Jorge’s name when the doorbell rings. As soon as she opens the door and sees
it’s Julio, she struggles to shut it again. Julio bangs on the door and tells
her he spent the entire night thinking about her, but she tells him she didn’t
(ha-ha, liar!). He understands that she is confused; so they need to talk, but
Juana refuses and tells him to go away. When Julio threatens that he won’t
leave until they talk, Juana tells him to go ahead and wait out there…she has
no reason to go out. Julio shakes his head and rubs his beard in anguish and
frustration.
At Poorfi’s office, Marg walks in to tell him that she has
an appointment at the court to hear the decision on her case against Cresta. They
make plans to go to lunch afterwards to celebrate…winning this case will bring
much prestige to their office.
Back at Juana’s door, Julio knocks softly and tells her he
knows she is just on the other side when Luisa comes from behind and surprises
him; so he leaves. Juana opens the door for Luisa who tells her that her boss
was out there. Juana nervously tells her he wanted to talk to her but she refused.
Juana will tell her about it.
At her job, Fabi shows a customer some clothes when Ramón
calls to tell her he will go pick her up later to go see an apartment.
Juana tells Luisa about her night with Julio and how he
planted a big kiss on her. When Luisa asks how Julio’s kiss was, Juana replies
she wouldn’t know; she hasn’t been kissed since Ramón was born. Luisa thinks
it’s great that Julio is interested in Juana, but Juana thinks he is just
confused since his wife’s death. Luisa, however, thinks the one who is confused
is Juana. After Juana tells her to stop saying absurdities, Luisa complains
about Benito having to learn English…and Ada teaching him. When Luisa has to
leave, Juana gives her the envelope so she can give it to Jorge. Soon after
Luisa leaves, Juana gets a text from Julio, “I can’t stop thinking about you(r
money).” Juana takes a moment, but breaks a smile.
At the university, Santiago sees Jorge at the cafeteria and
gives him his condolences since Andrea told him about his mother’s death. Santiago
understands how he feels because he also lost his mother. When Santiago
mentions that it also affects Andrea because she worries about him, Jorge
becomes enraged and tells Santiago to tell Andrea not to worry and that
Santiago should stay out of it; this is a very personal issue and only he knows
how he feels. Jorge gathers his things and excuses himself; he has to go to
class.
At the court, the judge presents his findings. As Marg sits
listening attentively, Sr. Pastrana gives her a guileful look from his table.
When the judge states that there is insufficient evidence, Marg stands and
argues that there is more than enough evidence citing several examples. The
judge suggests she look over what she submitted because it does not match what
she just said. When Marg doesn’t understand what happened to the facts she
included in her argument, the judge advises that she can appeal; this is
exactly what Marg intends to do. As Marg grabs her portfolio and leaves, Sr.
Pastrana smiles at his cunning victory.
At Roxana’s house, she lays in bed and steals a kiss from
Antonio when he tries to adjust her pillows. When he pulls away, she wants to
know why they can’t go back to the way they used to be. Antonio can’t forget
how she deceived him; so she pleads with him to tell her what she can do to
gain his forgiveness. Antonio just shakes his head and leaves to go pick up
Diego.
Outside the courtroom, Marg’s client chides her for losing
the case when she assured him that it would be a sure win. When he informs her
that he will look for another attorney, Marg pleads that he give her a chance
to figure out what happened. She will appeal and win the case at whatever
cost…this has become personal.
At the university, Santiago and Andrea walk as he tells her
about his conversation with Jorge and how Jorge told him not to get involved.
Andrea asks him to excuse Jorge; he really isn’t that way. Santiago thinks it
may just have been bad timing, but he really isn’t interested in Jorge as a
friend; he was just wanting to get closer to her. He then admires her and compliments
her hair. When she blushes and tells him it’s her usual hairstyle, Santiago
confesses that he feels very comfortable with her. He doesn’t know if the
timing is right, but he asks her to be his girlfriend. Andrea looks at him as
she remembers Jorge telling her they should forget each other, but she agrees.
He gently holds her head and they kiss.
At Julio’s home, Luisa sweeps as Jorge enters. When he
tells her he’s not hungry and wants nothing to eat, she gives him the envelope
Juana gave her. He goes to his room and reads the letter Andrea wrote:
I miss you
so much that I lack the air to breath. What do I do with all the love I feel for you. Tell me;
what do I do? I need you. We had said that no one would ever separate us and I
want to continue fighting for that. Let me be at
your side; I need to be with you…to hug you, kiss you. And you? You ask me to stay away, to forget you and not feel anything for you. I can’t, my love, I can’t. I love you more than my own life; I can’t live
without you.
Jorge cries as he folds the letter and shakes his head. He
tries to call Andrea, but her phone is off.
At Poorfi’s office, Veronica stands by Poorfi as he scolds
Marg asking her how this could be possible if she supposedly had everything
under control. Marg asks him to listen to her; she doesn’t know what happened
and needs to review why the judge determined there was insufficient evidence.
When she assures him she had everything needed, Poorfi retorts that apparently
she didn’t. Now they not only lost the case, this makes them look incompetent. Marg
insists that she is going to appeal and win the case, but Poorfi doubts it
since the judge already found she doesn’t have sufficient evidence. After Marg
assures him she will find out what happened, Veronica offers to help. Poorfi
orders that everyone will work on the case to ensure a win; the reputation of
the office is at stake. After Poorfi demands that Marg get to work and she
leaves, Veronica close the door and says, “Poor thing, you shouldn’t have
talked to her harshly” (while inside, she laughs).
Fabi and Ramón go check out an apartment. When they decide
it’s big enough and perfect, they hug and Ramón imagines many Fabiolitas
running around, but Fabi wants a Ramoncito too; so Ramón agrees and adds they
can have a little dog too. As they kiss, he tells her he wants to spend the
rest of his life with her.
Somewhere in Mexico City, Sofía paces as she gets a call
about an apartment that is ready for her. As she hangs up, a taxi slowly drives
by and she chases it calling out Ramón’s name, but when it comes to stop and a
man steps out, she sees it’s not him and is disappointed; she needs to find
him.
At his station, Benito practices his English.
At an apartment, Sofía pays for her rent and gets the keys.
Right afterwards, Marg works on her case when Sofía appears at her door (oh me,
oh my! A TN coincidence!); she just moved in to the adjacent apartment and
forgot to ask the manager where to turn on the gas. Marg is glad to take her to
the roof and show her.
Ramón and Fabi lay in their itty bitty bed as Fab wonders
how she will decorate the apartment. When Ramón suggests they move in as a married
couple, Fabi is ecstatic at the thought and definitely agrees. After they kiss
passionately, Ramón suggests they go to the delegation tomorrow to ask what all
is needed.
At Andrea’s apartment, Andrea opens the door for Jorge who
rushes in and hugs and kisses her. When she wonders what is going on, he blurts
out that he read her letter and he can’t live without her either. He knows he
said they should keep away from each other, but it’s the worst mistake of his
life. Just then, Santiago approaches from behind Andrea. He greets Jorge and asks,
“mi amor” (my love) if he can charge his phone, so she nods. When she turns
back to Jorge, he questions the “mi amor” and she nods; Jorge leaves upset.
Andrea, then goes to join Santiago who asks about Jorge; and Andrea tells him
Jorge was just looking for Juana (and so the lies start…). As she wonders who
gave Jorge the letter, Jorge walks down the corridor and leans against the wall
thinking he is an idiot.
Outside the building, Juana is arriving as Julio approaches
her and asks her not to run away from him. She replies she’s not running away
from him, she just has nothing to say to him. He insists that what happened the
previous night wasn’t just anything, but she retorts that it should have never
happened. When Julio persists, Juana is adamant that if he keeps insisting, she
will refuse to see him ever again. As Julio continues to badger her, Don Pedro
approaches from behind which pleases Juana very much (may be not because it’s
Don Pedro, but she can get Julio off her back...for now). After Julio leaves,
Don Pedro wonders if it was his imagination or was she arguing with Julio, but
Juana blames the discussion on Fabi. She invites him up for coffee and sweet
bread; he can also meet Andrea’s boyfriend who is very nice.
At the door of Sofia’s apartment, Marg explains some of the
building requirements and contacts. After Marg tells Sofía she is an attorney,
Sofía tells her she wants to set up a business, but she is also searching for
the love of her life. When Marg mentions the millions of people in Mexico City,
Sofía insists she is not going to lose hope.
At his home, Julio has a drink as Jorge comes out and asks
him if he wants a sandwich, but Julio refuses it; he isn’t hungry because a
business deal didn’t go well. Just then he gets a call from Mother Anselma to
remind him that they have not received the monthly payment. Julio apologizes
and assures her he will deposit the payment tomorrow; he asks that, in the
future, she call him to his cell phone. He then thinks to himself that he needs
to keep that secret from Jorge, the son who doesn’t carry his blood but turned
out to be the better of his sons.
At Andrea’s, Don Pedro is impressed to find that Andrea’s
beau is the Santiago that designed the Metro building in New York. As they
talk, Andrea recalls Jorge’s hug and kiss while Juana smiles as she recalls the
kiss Julio gave her ( so she did like it!!). Their thought are interrupted when
Santiago announces he has to leave. As Don Pedro compliments Andrea’s choice of
beaus, Juana gets a text from Julio, “I’m going to dream with you…that is
something you can’t prohibit.” Juana smiles and shakes her head. Flustered, she
rushes to get Don Pedro the coffee he had just refused, so he leaves to let her
rest.
At Julio’s, Jorge brings out quesadillas and is surprised
Julio has nuns as clients, but Julio explains that he has all types of clients.
After Julio leaves, Andrea arrives. Jorge wonders if she is there to confuse
him more, but she explains that she just wants to explain. He chides her for
sending him a letter saying she can’t live without him then finds her with
Santiago. When Andrea wonders which letter he’s talking about, he explains that
Luisa brought him the letter. She realizes it’s the letter she wrote when he
asked her to stay away from him; she was going to give it to him the day he was
with Sara, but she decided against it. She supposes Juana found and confesses
she had forgotten about it. Jorge nods…just as she has forgotten about him.
Andrea retorts that he shouldn’t make her feel guilty; he is the one that
convinced her they should fight for what they felt, then left her. He asked her
to forget him and ran away from her. He has no clue what it took to forget him
and now when she has succeeded, she doesn’t want to fall for him again. Jorge
asks her to forgive him, so Andrea forgives him, but won’t allow him to play with
her feelings. He assures her he’s not playing with her feelings; he can’t love
anyone else. Andrea, however, tells him she would have loved to hear that
before, but now it’s too late; she and Santiago are “novios” and wants to give
herself an opportunity with him. She starts to leave, so Jorge pulls her back,
but she says it’s what’s best and leaves anyway. Jorge is desperate and thinks
he was stupid.
At Marg’s place, Poorfi arrives to see how she is coming
along with the review of the case. She shows him all her notes of what she had
reviewed initially and compared them to what was submitted. It is evident that
there are documents missing. When Poorfi ask her what she thinks happened, she
suspects that someone in their office removed the documents. Poorfi is in
disbelief as they wonder who it could be.
At Roxana’s, she tries to reach for the TV remote as
Antonio scolds her for not calling him for help. As he sits on the bed, he
assures her he is there to help. After she thanks him, she looks at him
longingly and goes for another stolen kiss, but this time, Antonio gladly gives
it to her.
At their love nest, Ossie lays in bed and asks Emilia for
help in paying his rent and some other payments. When she asks if Susana really
ruined his business, he tells her he doesn’t want to talk about it, but she
insists he tell her what business he had…she wants no lies (only the ones he
tells to Susana). He admit he was selling tests, but since Susana sent the
email, he is being investigated and can’t set foot on campus. Emilia doesn’t
think it’s the best of businesses, but concedes to giving him money. She joins
him in bed to charge him interest.
Next Day –
At Roxana’s, Diego walks in to her bedroom where she and
Antonio are sleeping. He wakes up Antonio because it’s a school day, but
Antonio takes him so he won’t awaken Roxana.
Luisa arrives to work greeted by Benito who tells her,
“Good Morning, my love” (in English). He states some other English words and
ends with the most important ones, “I love you,” though Luisa is not that
impressed. She leaves saying, “Hasta la vista, baby.” Soon after, a work buddy
asks Benito to take his shift so he can go get some tests done. Benito agrees.
At a flower shop, Julio buys a bouquet of white roses to be
delivered (we know who will receive them).
Benito arrives to his home as Ada and Fredes have breakfast.
Fredes continues her little charade of speaking only in English and offers
Benito breakfast which he agrees to because he has to get back to work.
At an ATM, Ossie withdraws the money Emilia sent him. He
calls her and thanks her…and will thank her again later. As he thinks about
having to ride the bus, he wonders about buying a used car…or talking his
father into giving him more money and buy a new one.
At Poorfi’s office, he has a meeting with all the employees
to tell them that important evidence against the Grupo Cresta case disappeared.
As everyone looks at each other, he states someone from the office had to have
taken it. Since he knows no one will admit guilt, he will require them to take
a polygraph test. After everyone leaves, Veronica stays back with Poorfi (pretending
to be) shocked that the case was lost because of the missing evidence. She
suggests that the evidence could have been lost anywhere, but Poorfi insists
that all the evidence was in Marg’s office. When she wonders if he was serious
about the polygraph test, she insists that the evidence was lost elsewhere, but
Poorfi doesn’t budge. She slithers away worried.
At her house, Liboria is busy sweeping when Fredes arrives
demanding to know what happened to the lady that had the cerebral stroke. When Liboria
tells her the lady died, Fredes panics, so Liboria wonders why so much
interest. After Fredes makes her promise to keep her secret, she confides what
she is doing to keep Benito from talking to her about Luisa. Liboria then
wonders why Fredes doesn’t like Luisa; so Fredes explains that her son is a
prince. He deserves someone…like Adalgiza who is teaching him English…and that
is getting them closer.
At Andrea’s, Juana receives the white roses and reads the
note, “I still feel the taste of your lips…” She runs to her room; and after
she reads the note again, she asks her parrot what she should do. She wonders
if Julio is being sincere, but doubts it.
At Julio’s office, Ossie enters and tells him about his
dilemma at the university. He already spent the money Julio had given him on
some of his debts, but now he needs more. When he asks for 20,000 pesos, Julio
writes him a check as he tries to excuse himself for selling Ossie’s car. Ossie
tells him it’s in the past. Julio wonders if he will return to live with him,
but Ossie already has his own life.
Fabi calls Ramón who is driving on his way to pick her up.
When he hangs up, he hears Sofía’s radio message and can’t believe it’s her.
When he hears his name (which wasn’t mentioned when Fabi heard the message), it
confirms it is really his Sofía…and he wonders what she wants.
