Enamorándome de Ramon, capítulo 53, Friday, October 27, 2017: Juana accepts Julio’s marriage proposal and Fabiola thinks she just got dumped

We left off yesterday with Julio’s marriage proposal and Juana kissing him passionately. He tells her he wants to be with her always at her side. She accepts his marriage proposal. He say, “You are making me the happiest man on earth.” Juana says, “And nothing about this is going to be hidden. We are going to tell the whole family, including your mother. And if they don’t like it, then that is their problem.” (So why didn’t she have this attitude with Fabi and Ramón?) Julio responds, “Very well then, whatever you like. But don’t you think we should wait so I can talk to Ramón and ask him for your hand in marriage first?” Juana says, “No, I don’t think so. You can tell your children and I will talk with Ramon. I will also talk with Andrea and Fabiola.” Julio says, “Do you think Ramón and Fabiola will speak to you?” Juana says, “No, probably not, but I still need to try to speak with them so I can discuss this situation with them.” Then Julio thinks to himself, “If only Fabiola doesn’t ask you for money and then you give it to her.” Of course Juana can’t read his mind, but she says, “And you need to do the same.”

Andrea, Jorge, Valente, and Fabiola leave Ramón’s place and of course Fabi looks crushed. Valento says, “I’m so sorry for what Ramón did to you. I just hope that things go better with you from here on out. I’m going to stay here in Mexico City for a while to see what I can do to help out. Here is my cell phone number.” Jorge asks, “What are you going to do?” Valente responds, “I’m going to look for work and see about finding a place to live. Do you know where I can rent a room?” Jorge says, “Oh yes, Luisa, the lady who works for us, I think she might have a room to rent at her house.” Valente asks for the address and he is off to find it. Andrea thanks him and wishes him good luck

Os gets to his place and calls out to Emilia. The phone rings at Emilia’s place, she is not by her phone, so Susana answers. Emilia comes walking in and says it must have been no one. Evidently, Susana recognized Os’ number from the caller ID and she tries to call Os. He just about panics and looks like to denies the call. Emilia comes over and Os tells her what happened. She gives him a new phone and she gets a phone where she will take only his calls from. She puts his name down as “Orlando”. Then he notices someone named “Julio” in her address book and mentions that his father’s name is Julio and wants to know if this is his father. But Emilia says, “No the Julio I know is a real gentleman. He would never be the kind to sell off his son’s car dishonestly.” Os then mentions that his father gave him money to buy a new car.

Juana tries to call Ramón but she gets no answer and wonders what happened.

Andrea, Fabi, and Jorge arrive at Margarita’s place. Margarita is shocked and wonders if she and Ramón had a fight and Fabi tells her she was dumped and Ramón ran off with his ex. She hugs Fabi.

Meanwhile, Julio is talking to a picture of Virginia while he sips some liquor. He’s telling her that pretty soon Juana’s money will be his, but he is going to have to marry her to get it. It will be community property. “Well what is mine is mine and what is hers is mine.” He has a smirk on his face as he says all this.

Fabi tearfully tells Marg about how Ramón pledged his life to her and that he loved her and not Sofía. Marg looks puzzled. “Sofía?” she says? Now everything is clicking into place. “Sofía” must be the neighbor who moved in across the hall. (Don’t you just love how it took her that long to put it together?) She even introduced Fabi to her. “You mean that was her?” says Fabi. Marg says, “She was saying she was looking for a Ramón, but I never dreamed it was the same Ramón.” (Are we that dense, Marg?) Marg explains that Sofía said that she came looking for Ramón but found out that Ramón no longer cared for her. In fact, she says that Sofía said she was not going to try to find Ramón anymore. But Fabi doesn’t know what to think now because the only other thing she knows is that it appears that Ramón took all his things from the apartment. Fabi is afraid the whole family will be wagging their tongues about her to say, “I told you so.” Marg assures her that she would never say such a thing. “You can count on me” says Marg. Andrea and Jorge look at Fabi and say, “You can also count on us too.”

Valente knocks at Luisa’s door and asks if she is willing to rent a room to him as he is Ramón’s good friend. Dalia comes home and Luisa introduces him to Dalia. Valente starts to explain the situation about what happened with the wedding at the courthouse. He tells Luisa they all waited for Ramón but he never showed up. Luisa is shocked. Valente says it appears that he ran off with Sofía, a girl he knew in Tijuana. Luisa can hardly believe it and Valente says he is very surprised too. He says, “I never thought he would go back to Sofía after what happened in Tijuana.” “So what happened there?” says Dalia. Val explains that Sofía is the daughter of the Mafioso boss, Rosendo Vasquez from the Boca Negra cartel. He goes into the story about how Sofía left her own wedding and ended up on the run with Ramón who was the limo driver.

Back at Marg’s place, Fabi says she is tired and wants to go to bed, so Marg shows her to the extra bedroom. After Fabi leaves the room, Andrea angrily tells Jorge how despicable Ramón is. “I just can’t imagine how he could do a thing like this to Fabiola!” Jorge says, “I always thought he was a good guy.” Andrea responds, “Me too, but I guess we were wrong.” He also says, “If I were in Fabi’s shoes, I can only imagine how I would feel.” Marg returns and says, “I could never have believed that Ramón was capable of pulling off such a horrible stunt. I’m going to tell the apartment manager that Sofía won’t be returning.”

Benito calls his friend the psychiatrist about his mother again. Seems she is only speaking English. But Fredes is pulling a prank on Benito. He says he will be over later.

Luisa shows Valente to his room. “How much is the rent?” Luisa says, “No, first you find work, then we can talk about the rent.” She leaves him to unpack and get comfortable. But Valente is still thinking about what might have happened to Ramón.

Dalia gets on the phone pronto to call Francisco and tell him that Ramón ran off with Sofía. He pretends that he doesn’t know anything about it by saying, “What an imbecile! How could he leave Fabiola just like that?” Dalia responds, “Well now you have a clear path to get back with Fabiola.” She revels in the idea. When they get off the phone, Francisco says, “She’s so stupid. If she only knew what really happened.” He looks quite pleased with himself.

Fabiola gets up and Marg offers her some supper. But Fabi turns her down saying she just wants coffee. Fabi says, “I don’t know what to do or where to start. First I lost my parents. Now I have lost Ramón. I don’t understand anything.” “What about Juana?” says Marg. “No I don’t want to see Juana” Fabi answers. “If anyone will make me think of Ramón, it’s her.” Marg says, “Remember you have us! You have Andrea and you have Jorge. And you have me.” But Fabi says, “Why is love so miserable, Auntie?” Marg goes over to hug Fabi. Fabi cries and tells Marg she doesn’t know how she will live without Ramón. She remembers back when she and Ramón were in bed talking about getting married.

The van carrying Ramón and Sofía pulls up to some secluded cabin in the woods. Rulo and Dario put their face masks back on and get out to go to the back of the van where their victims are. Still blindfolded and handcuffed, they take them out and place them in separate rooms in the cabin. Rulo throws a couple more punches at Ramón.

Jorge confronts Andrea and wants to know about getting back together. She says “What about Sara?” And he says, “What about Santiago? Hey, all you have to do is give me the word and I’ll drop Sara and come back to you.” He tries to kiss her but she throws him off and says, “Go steal kisses from your own girlfriend.” She walks off angrily.

Andrea gets back into the apartment. Unaware of what has happened, Juana is in a good mood and offers Andrea something to eat. When Juana realizes that something is wrong, she asks what happened. Then Andrea tells her, “That trashy son of yours! He dumped my sister to run off with another woman!” Of course, Juana is very disturbed about this and looks like she has come down with Excedrin headache #54. “He destroyed my sister’s life, Juana and it’s your fault!” Juana still can’t believe this happened because she says, “But Ramón told me himself how much he loves Fabiola and how he wanted to spend his life with her.” Juana cries and is unable to digest what has just happened.

“Please give me the address of your Aunt Margarita. I have to go see Fabiola”, says Juana. But Andrea says, “You’re the last person she wants to see and least of all, she doesn’t want to hear you scold her.” “What makes you think I want to reprimand her? I just want to console her and tell her how sorry I am. I want to tell her she can count on me.” But Andrea angrily says, “I don’t think she will ever want to see you! You are the mother of the man who destroyed her life!” Juana says, “Okay, I admit that I am, but I am not going to deny that. But I also am not in agreement with what he did. Please tell me for Margarita lives.” Andrea reluctantly says she will take her and warns that if Fabi runs her off, it’s not her fault.

At the lonely cabin in the woods, one of the perpetrators (Dario) comes to Ramón and tells him, “If you behave yourself, then nothing will happen to you. If you yell, no one will hear you.” He removes Ramón’s blindfold. “What do you want from me?” says Ramón. But he says, “I’m the one who will ask the questions.” Ramon asks, “So what did you do with Sofía? Is she alright?” Dario answers that she is just fine. “But if you don’t stop asking questions, you are going to end up with a bullet in your head”. He points his gun at Ramón and makes his point.

Jorge tells his father all about what happened that day with Fabi and Ramón. Julio says, “Well it’s better that it happens now than after they are married. At least he isn’t able to take off with Fabiola’s money now.” (Ha! But isn’t that Julio’s wretched plan??)

Sitting on the cabin floor, Ramón is thinking about how Fabiola must be thinking he dumped her as he never showed up. He starts saying, “Why did Sofía have to show up in my life right now and what does her damn family have to do with all this?”

In the room Sofía is trapped in, she too is thinking this has something to do with her father’s cartel. “All this time my father’s goons have been trailing me. Oh Ramón, please forgive me.” Still blindfolded, she looks up in anguish. Rulo takes off Sofía’s blindfold and tells her, “No this is the way I like to see you.” “Who sent you after me?” says Sofie. Rulo just laughs at her and she asks for Ramón. “Hey, you are much prettier when you are quiet, my little princess. And don’t think about screaming, no one is going to hear you out here. I’ll be back in a little bit.”

In the hallway, Juana and Andrea meetup with Julio and Jorge. She says they are going to go see Fabiola. Julio offers to take her, but Andrea doesn’t want her tío getting involved. Jorge looks puzzled and Andrea says, “You haven’t told (Jorge) him anything, have you?” Jorge, looking at his dad says, “What is it that you have to say?” Andrea, not too happily says, “Your father Juana know what I am talking about!” After the explanation, Jorge says his mother has not even been dead a month. But who is he to judge? Then Os calls to give Jorge his new number, so Jorge tells him what happened. Andrea wants to know why she didn’t say anything about his father and Juana to Osvaldo. He says he just didn’t get the chance. She starts to argue about how wrong it is for Julio to get involved with Juana. But Jorge says he is not going to judge. Juana is a woman like any other woman and now lower because she works as a servant. Finally Andrea realizes how reasonable and sensible Jorge is being and softens up. He tries to get close to her to resolve things but she says no. “I’m going back inside just in case Fabi calls me.” Then she leaves.

Julio drives Juana over to see Fabi. Juana tells him she cannot understand how Ramón can act like such a swine. She explains that she and her mother brought Ramón up with good principles and she blame herself and is very ashamed.

Dario and Rulo eat at the cabin and say they can feel their prisoners tomorrow. Dario calls Francisco to tell him that they have the girl too. Francisco wants a picture of Sofía so Dario sends him the one of Ramón being caught “between the tree and Sofía’s lips.”  (Thanks Alfredo for that one!)
Osvaldo arrives at Francisco’s apartment and tells Francisco what happened with Fabiola.

(I am skipping over the part where Fredes puts some powdery substance in the drinks/horchata she serves everyone. Benito walks to Luisa’s and suddenly has to run inside to use the bathroom. I didn’t think this was that interesting, sorry.) Benito is introduced to Valente and finds out about Ramón.

Os calls Emilia at home and Susana starts eavesdropping and figures out it’s Os seeing her mother. She hears Emilia saying they have to be much more careful because of Susana.

Juana arrives at Marg’s house and tearfully apologizes and says she is very embarrassed and mortified over what happened. Juana tells her, “I love you with all my soul and what my son did was unforgivable and it’s like he did it to me.” They embrace in an act of forgiveness.

Cynthia: Julio still scheming as usual. Has he resorted to murder yet ?

I'm feeling we're about to go into the Peralta territory here soon.

Ramon's obsessed former girlfriend had something to do with Ramon not showing up to meet with Fabiola.

Thanks Cynthia. I can usually decipher the goings on, but I just don't do well with sobbing and wailing and missed a lot of the dialog.

In keeping with RGV's insect theme, which complements the many annoying insects in this show, here is one of my attempts. I destroyed a camera trying to catch this one in flight and finally settled on letting him land THEN take a portrait.

Steve, no nothing.
Watch the show sometime and it will make more sense. She just happened to be at the right place at the wrong time.

It was all that scum sucking Francisco. He is the same as he was in Despertar Contigo with Maia. Exactly the same, beard and all.

It is called a ...wait for it...wait for it....Red Darner. Imagine!

I'm wondering what the end game is with Frankenfarter and his smelly little thugs. These kidnappings are like quicksand, a lot easier to get into than to get out of. Will they wait until F'arter gives thee go-ahead and just drop them off on the side of the road somewhere? Maybe I think too much, but there are too many clues to lead a good investigator back to them. If Ramoon were half bright he would already put two and two together. He should recognize a fellow mechanic's hands, there are always scars and injuries. And BIG.

The van is highly recognizable too, it isn't some vanilla white rental. It even has aftermarket Mexican wheels.

The cabin, although they were blindfolded, is a dead giveaway, if it can ever be found. If these two are ever questioned, their phones will point straight to Frankenfarter. I do not know about Mexico, but here in Gringoland, kidnapping at gunpoint will get you in more trouble in ten minutes than you can get out of in ten years.

That picture they sent to 'Farter: Well even if both the sending and receiving phones are destroyed, there is still a record out in etherspace somewhere of it's origination and destination.

What this show is lacking is some KILLING. See: La Piloto and Doble Vida.

McGuyver

Kirby: We're likely to see Julio go to extreme deadly methods to ensure his thirst for power.

Hopeo so....

I have to give it to this show, when these hotties are all out of sorts, they actually let them look pretty ragged on camera. MOST times they have just, say, given birth to quintuplets, and look like they are headed out on stage on MQB.

Roxie the other day, and then Fabi, looked believably rough when the time came to not be so glamorous. Kudos to both girls.

Cynthia, great recap and the screen shots unbelievably amazing!

What is wiht Wanna? She just told Pedro she was meant to be alone and now she practically didn't even let Julio finish asking her to marry him and she accepted. What happened to all her reservations and concerns about differences in class and what others would think...whooshhh, out the window!

When and if Ramon is rescued/released, he should move to the other side of the world. NO ONE believes in him, not even his long time friend or his mother. How sad for him.

Kirby, "I have to give it to this show, when these hotties are all out of sorts, they actually let them look pretty ragged" Me too, I noticed that from the getgo! Right now, that's about the only thing good I can say about this show.

Nice shot, Kirby! A "Red Darner?" very befitting!

thanks , Cynthia, for a great recap of all the crazy , and I loved the screen caps.

CHickie.."What is with WAnna? " Well, it is easy to fall for a good-looking, sweet talking, lying weasel, and that is exactly what WOlfio is.

Gorgeous day here..sunny, cool, and clear, but it finally feels like fall and hiking time.

Puleeeezzzz...It is not like Wanna? is some post puberty Jr High or High School girl being wooed for the first time by a smooth talking Wolfio. If her descendants had really been on the ball, she could be a Grand Mother, or, do the math, a great Grand Mother. What is wrong with this woman.? And she just plain out LIES. BAd Dummy, Bad.

RGV Chik said"...move to the other side of the world." Stick with Sofia. SHE does believe in him and even after he rather indelicately told her to pound sand, go to Hades, forget him, and also, "You have bad breath", she still jumped a big smelly dirtbag to save Ramoon. Go with the chick who actually does something positive. I would rather face Sofia's Dad and his goons than the people in his orbit NOW.

I'd rather have Sofia, no money, and a fast (car, boat, Motorcycle, anything with spark plugs I can work on), than Fabi, and her share of the million after Wolfio and Wanna finish with it.

And how many Y E A R S will Frankenfarter be on the sidelines calling in plays? Other side of the world sounds like good advice.

That next hand-me-down cold front from Chikie has arrived, (Thanks), and our sunny warm morning has turned to dropping temperatures and a drizzle. The temperature has dropped 4 degrees in the past three hours.

hey, have the writers completely forgotten about Ant and Roxy and Whatshisname (the other possible baby daddy)?
I have been watching these telenovelas for awhile and am now in the third season of Outlander. All these stories are about people wanting certain things in their lives. Just like real life...it is all about deciding what you want in your life and then trying to get it . Everybody grows up and decides what they want. I once read about a teacher who told her students to ask themselves 4 questions as they went out into the world to build their lives 1)What do I want to be? 2) what do I want to do? 3)WHat do I want to have? 4) What to I want to give? I still keep asking myself these questions.

Kirby, the next cold front going your way should bring cooler temps for you. Today in the RGV, highs are expected in the low 70s with lows expected in the mid 40s for tonight.

Thanks RGV. Brownsville is 25 54 5 North
and Sarasota is 27 20 10 North so you are actually a tiny bit more South than me, about 150 miles, actually. So my weather, based on North/South alone should be colder than yours. Brrrr

Paying attention class?

Cynthia, fantastic recap! Your screen shots always add so much.

"(Don’t you just love how it took her that long to put it together?)" and "(Are we that dense, Marg?)" were among many favorites.
The brat of the night award last night was easily won by Andrea. Her angry attitude toward Juana because her son “dumped” Fabiola was totally uncalled for. “I don’t think she will ever want to see you! You are the mother of the man who destroyed her life!” Ummm, really?

So Virginia has only been dead a month?? Juana should have known better than to even think about getting involved with Julio. First, because it’s too damn soon and totally disrespectful to Virginia’s memory. Second, because he’s vermin who simply wants her money. If Andrea weren’t such a petulant, superior little twit, I would have totally agreed with her.

Dalia perked up with the appearance of Valente, didn't she?

I hate that Sophia is blaming herself for the kidnapping. Girl can't catch a break.

Great comment about the mechanics hands Kirby. That's very true. I think Ramon is so worried about Sophia and what Fabiola will think, he's not too concerned with who his captors are at the moment. I also agree that Ramon would be better with Sophia. I remember him smiling much more and being much happier with her. Wishful thinking I'm afraid.

"NO ONE believes in him, not even his long time friend or his mother. How sad for him". Excellent point RgvChick.

Susanlynn, I have been wondering about Roxy too. Guess they wanted to give the "abandonment" and kidnapping center stage.

I mean it's no spoiler that Ramon is going to escape his ordeal. I am afraid for Sophia though, who is now totally alone in the world.

Fantastic Cynthia. Thank you.

Diana

I keep wondering why Emilia and Julio didn't get together. First, she has money, Julio's prime directive. Second, she shares Julio's passion for poker. It's obvious he was too old for her but it still makes no sense to me that he never made a play for her. In any event, Susana is going to put two and two together and figure things out. She would be better off emancipated as her mother has committed an ultimate betrayal. How could she??

"Diana

I keep wondering why Emilia and Julio didn't get together. "

Simple.yeah, she has money, but is way too shrewd to let a fellow gambler get his hands on it. She wants to keep it all to herself to fritter away. To say that Emi has a couple screws loose is being kind. Just ask her daughter in a few weeks.

Second, he is not interested in women, per se, or sex, or even other humans, for that matter. He is like the Terminator, in the first movie, with a single minder objective to the exclusion of everything else, to feed his gambling addiction. And he will do that at all cost, to himself and to all those around him. As soon as he has extracted the nectar $$$ from Wanna, she will be discarded like used bathroom tissue.

Dr. Juansone

Yeah, Ramoon will get loose. I was hoping that they would be in the same room.. Sofia would put those now famous LIPS on his ropes and gnaw through them like a little pitbull caught in a steel trap and save him.

"Between her lips and a tree" is a classic. I am hopeoing Shakira will make it into a song.

Kirby, your description of Julio is spot on. Both he and Emilia are cold blooded reptiles. I hadn't thought Emilia wanted her money to herself. That rings true. She wanted Oz to herself too didn't she? Badly enough apparently she didn't think twice about having him callously break up with her daughter. Both are slime.

Now you have me wishing Ramon and Sophia had ended up as cellmates. I think he'd have a hard time resisting her lips 24/7. She'd also have time to try and convince him everything she's done has been for him.

Diana

As attractive as Fabi is, and sh gets bonus points for perky, she is just not endearing. She just lives too close to that line between love and hate. Instead of trying to find out what happened to Ramoon, even though the Numbskull abductors were suppossedly bright enough to stage his leaving with his things, GONG, Fabi now hates Ramoon along with her whole dysfunctional orbit. I am beginning to embrace the pairings we are being presented with. J&J, F&F, D&D(umbass), Benny and Bitchy.

Fabi, your little heart is broken right now, but get a clue. Look at the big picture. Keep your head in the sand and you can be back with Frankenfarter while he and Nurse GoodBody spend your inheritance and your only ambition will be to someday become a store manager at Victoria's Secret or Charlotte Russe when your youthful looks begin to fade.

Like I have said before, I have all the sympathy in the world for someone who just doesn't have the mental horsepower to figure life out. But Dumb on purpose simply pisses me off Wanna?.

Benitita, you are not really an adult until you can see and accept the defects, large or small, in your parents, and do something about it. You would not make a good partner or parent to a pet rock. And what you can't (wont) see is there is nothing really wrong with your Mom, short of a bad case of dishonesty and selfishness. Time to Heave Hoe.

Given that our show has a propensity for unbelievable luck, both good and bad, and outlandish coincidences, how in the world is Agustin going to find out that Antonio's 'baby' is his? If this were Lions or Tigers, at birth Antonio would take one sniff of it's behind, and summarily kill it right there on the spot. Done. But we have nonsensical humans, Spaniards/Mexicans nonetheless, so that game plan is not complicated enough. Will it have major medical problems at or shortly after birth and need blood? Could that bring her secret to light, I don't know.

Have the writers thrown out so many stories that they are forgetting a few of them? Is Francisco still banging Nurse GoodBody? Will Jorge ever find out who he isn't? I DO want to be watching when Susanna confronts Mom about man stealing. Like the two guys in the Blue Toyota Corolla Commercial watching a fellow walk out in front of the car said, "This is gonna be gud."

"I think he'd have a hard time resisting her lips 24/7." Yeah, he is human.

Happy Sunday, and Thank You RGV, brisk this AM after an all night drizzle.

Enough with bugs, the birds are back. Screech Owl.

Good morning Kirby. Good morning patio. Good morning handsome owl.

"Time to Heave Hoe" had me laughing out loud.

Kirby, I'm fairly certain there will be a medical emergency for Roxie's baby necessitating either a blood transfusion or something only the bio baby daddy can provide. Other than that, there is no likely way Auggie's paternity would be revealed.

Fabi is perky but a bit petulant. Unless the writers really throw us a curve ball, she will end up with Ramon. I really hope the writers realized how valiant Sophia is and won't feel they needed to sacrifice her so R&F can be happy without her inconvenient presence.

Diana

If positions were reversed, there is no way Sophia would have believed Ramon left her with no explanation, no word.

She would have gone to the ends of the earth to track him down. That's what really bothers me.

She believes and has trust and would have stopped at nothing to get them.

Diana

Team Sofia, welcome aboard Diana. I'm having your Jerseys with your name on them made as we speak.:-)

It is an interesting contrast the jobs Drug Kingpin Father did as opposed to Lap of Luxury Townies Medina Family raising their respective daughters.

Are we to take away that 'Easy Is Not Always Best' when rearing children? Hmmmm.

Good morning, all.

Usually in telenovelas, aggressive eonen are the villians, but perhaps Sofia represents the new strong woman theme that has become popular in U.S. shows.
Fab seems a little dim and vapid despite the perky, high on life demeanor.

I love weekends. Went to a concert last night. It started raining last night. We need some rain.FEels more like fall now with temps in the 60s.

Unlike this telenovela, life is moving fast. I heard someone say that there are only 8 weeks until CHristmas. I am planning Thanksgiving, and my friend just sent an email about our New Year's Eve dinner. Where does time go?

Has anyone heard that they now want people at the airport 3 hours before their flights due to new security measures?

Before long it will be quicker to drive for short to medium trips, unless it is over an ocean.

Kirby..yes, I hate to fly anyway, but other than a two day drive through treestreestrees , it is the only way we can visit our older daughter and her family. Now, it will take even longer to get there , and it already involves two planes and a total of many hours just waiting in airports. That is a whole day just for traveling about 700 miles. LIfe certainly has changed from the days when one just hopped on a plane and went somewhere!

OT..I am looking for a new cellphone...any recommendations?

OT..CHickie and Nina..HAllmark channel is already showing CHristmas movies. Gah.

Hiya, Patio Pals!

I have to admit Sofia does look like a better catch for Ramoon. What worries me is that although "She would have gone to the ends of the earth to track him down," exactly how far will she go? One of two things will happen: as Diana perfectly stated "the writers realized how valiant Sophia is and won't (will) feel they needed to sacrifice her so R&F can be happy without her inconvenient presence." OR she's gonna go schizo and do something drastic and mean to lose the her viewers/fans. I think I would prefer her sacrificed rather than see an evil Sofia. Or maybe as Susy said, "Sofia represents the new strong woman theme that has become popular in U.S. shows" ...and she'll find a new love interest.

Kirby, great pics today thank you!! BTW, if that cold front you got was the first one that went by here earlier this week, then get your warmers out because the second one we got on Friday brought much cooler/cold temps. This morning we were at 43.

Gee, CHickie..who would have thought that you and I would be experiencing the same temperature !!!

To me Fab is just kind of ditzy and juvenile. Even the way she dresses reminds me of a middle schooler. And she seems to have only two modes..either perkiness or petulance. I get the distinct impression that she really has no idea what marriage really means! She is playing house . It is not just about cooking and cuddling and giggling. Well..that 's some of it..but not all of it. What's that EAgkes song?.."Love WIll KEep US Alive." No..no it won't..food ..you need food , too.

I keep wondering how much time SIfia and Ramon were actually together. days? weeks? months?

Kirby, in the bits and pieces we saw of Fab and Andrea's parents, they seemed so nice and completely down to earth. Not an air to be seen. That said, I guess good people spoil their children, even inadvertently. I sense the same slight air of superiority from the girls that I get from Julio and Antonio. It's seldom evident but there nevertheless.

Do we know when and how Sophia's mother died? If her father was her only influence, it's a miracle she ended up as she did!

Rgv Chick, I don't want Sophia to go to the dark side either! So far, she has epitomized what true love is - caring, belief and trust...I have always feared for her safety, now, even more. I suspect her father will either escape or be let out of jail. I don't want that scenario either. I vote for a new love interest, but unfortunately, I'm not seeing anyone who could fit the bill.

Susanlynn, you are always doing fun it seems. Who did you see last night? I used to go to concerts back in the day and saw everything from the original Supremes, to Sly and the Family Stone, Frampton, Billy Joel and many others. Aerosmith played in my college rec hall basement for $1 a head right before they made it. Bruno Mars was in Boston the other week. I was dying to go but the tickets were far too price.

Someone is hungry! I don't know how on earth you get the shots of birds with their next meal, but this was utterly spectacular Kirby.

Diana

" perkiness or petulance - good one Susanlynn!!

Diana

Patience, Diana, Thank You. You have to be able to sit and do NOTHING for a long time, except for watching a blank sky. No Farceboink, no phone, no TV, no doorbell, just you and a whole bunch of trees waiting for a bird.

And luck, lots and lots of luck.

What if Sofia's Dad gets out of jail, comes looking for his prize daughter, and finds out that she has been lipnapped and being held in a cabin in the woods by dirtbag #1 & #2. He would immediately (even faster than Fabi) jump to an incorrect conclusion that they are working for one of his rivals and take appropriate, or inappropriate, action against Rulo and Dullo.. Hopeofully in the process overlooking and freeing Ramoon.

OT...Diana, last night we saw American Bandstand stars..Chris Montez, Brian Hyland, Merrilee Rush, The Chiffons, and ShirleyvReeves of The Shirelles. The drummer and guitarist were the sons OF Bobby Vee. Shirley Reeves was the best. She sounds exactly the same. The next concert we go to is a Electric Light Orchestra. The Barry Manilow concert a few weeks ago was great. I would love to see Bruno Marz. Hubba and I like music.

Kirby, I feel Sophia's father will be a factor in this. My first thought was that he would be furious and stop at nothing to find her. But you are right, when he discovers she is missing, he is going to come to all kinds of conclusions. And even though he will feel HE can do whatever he wants to punish her, he will want to reserve that right for himself. Rulo and "Dullo" will be fish bait.

Glad you had fun Susanlynn. I bet Barry Manilow put on a great show.

Diana

Diana, " Rulo and "Dullo" will be fish bait." Can we have Taz from Doble Vida hired just to do that...Kirby just might get his "death wish." :-)

Good Morning RGV. My death wish has been sated for a while. I watched El Chapo last night. YIKES I still feel nauseous.
😎

Good Morning Diana, just for you, another mealtime photo with the color BLUE. Look at his beak !

Good morning all. A chilly morning here. Rained all night.

I passed on El Chapo. What a disturbing figure he was.

Lovely bird. Love blue.

I wonder if some missing characters will appear tonight. Where in the world is Angrygranny? Roxy? Ant?

Good Morning, Patio Guys and Gals :-)

Susy, I'm sure GranWitch will appear soon...she's not done with her criticizing and scheming.

Kirby, OT...Esmeralda Pimentel is working on something you may like. It's called "La Bella y Las Bestias," a series which follows the life of Isabela León, a beautiful and hard-working woman who returns to Mexico with a goal: to find those responsible who murdered their parents years ago. Not sure when it will air, but me thinks you'll be woofing and tail wagging quite a bit :-) Google it along with her name.

Laters...BTW Cookie is doing so well, she's back with the herd..YAY!!

Chickie..so glad to beast that Cookie has recovered. It is always hard to be separated from one's herd !

Beast???..that should be "hear." I am having a very hard time typing on my new 7" tablet. Grrrrr sorry

Susy, you must have had Beauty and the Beast on your mind; and, well, Cookie did conquer her "beast" :-) When she continuously cried out for her mama, I knew her lungs were pretty much cleared.

Cynthia thank you for the recap, finally saw episode last night.

Man Ramon is in deep doodoo with Juana and Fabi. I don't see Fabi ever believing him because of that picture. Frank, Rulo and Dullo are turds. I will add Dalia to that pile. I sure hope the writers don't have Dalia getting together with Valente. I noticed the way she was checking him out. Valente is a good guy, and Dalia does not deserve anything better than Rulo, even Rulo is too good for her.

And Juana and Julio, she is so dumb she deserves Julio lying to her.

Susanlyn: I agree with you many characters missing in action. I miss Diego.

Thank you everyone for your comments! I've had a very busy weekend and didn't have the chance to get online here and read the comments or comment back.

Kirby, I like your idea of Sofia's dad getting out of jail, tracking down his prized daughter and jump to the conclusion that this was done by one of his rivals.

Diana, I agree, the brat of the night award goes to Andrea! I think I liked her better when she couldn't talk.

RGV Chick, I agree "what's up with Wanna"? She gets the naive award of the year.

Susanlynn, yes the writers seem to have forgotten about the Roxana, Agustin, and Antonio triangle. I am having a very hard time right now with this storyline on Luisa, Benito and his mother and the French psychiatrist. This is just so dumb!

Andrea was great quiet, now, meh....

Yeah, Fabi will never believe #thestruggleisreal, #betweenlipsandatree
Yeah, he is in deep doodoo, but he isn't missing any parts yet, why am I jealous?

Picture? If it was Wanna he was 'splainin' to one word would suffice, "Photoshop".
"Oh, OK, I never doubted you." GULP GONG

Where in the devil is DaniLowIQ when we could actually LIKE him? Drat!

More flyers eating swimmers.

And do not forget the simmering about to boil over Suzanna..Emilia..Ozzie..Julio quad. I only hopeo that when this all blows up the story, (though untrue), is that Julio AND Oz were both sleeping with Em, or what the hell, that both were sleeping with both, and Wanna of course hears it and see how her little grain of sand brain processes that in her/Julio's favor.
Dis gome be gud.

Chickie...Yes, I just spent a day with a sick 7 year old watching "Beauty and the Beast," "Cinderella," and "Snow White." As she said.."All the classics." Anyhoo, I am glad that Cookie is well and back in her herd.

I am looking forward to seeing when this stuff blows up in Os's and Emilia's faces with Julio and Susana finding out everything. Susana seems to have already caught on though I believe.

I am confused about JUana suddenly saying yes to Wolfio. Was it the kiss, or did the parrot tell her it was a good idea? #nevertrustaparrotfordatingadvice

Susanlynn: I don't think the parrot is that foolish as to tell Juana that this was a good idea. I'll bet that parrot tried to talk her out of it and she didn't listen. ;)

With his accent, "Aaarrrgh, Are you crazy?" sounds a lot like "Aaarrk Go for it."

RGV, "La Bella y Las Bestias" is being produced by W Studios, the La Piloto company, that said, it stands a chance to be pretty darn good.

Although the shootem ups were not everyone's cup of tea, I found La Piloto to be on a whole higher level than this Junior High silliness we are watching here. For one it didn't have fifteen unrelated stories running side by side, and it was just more like a top box office movie than something Riverview High put on. Thanks

And they have dropped the ball on the Vro..Poorfyi..Margie story too.

I'm late reading this Cynthia. But I
Did and it's really disturbing. Not the
Recap, you did good with that thank U
Very much.
What happened to Ramon was bad enough,
But being stuck with Sofia in the precess Just makes it even much more frustrating.
And then there's dumb jauana. How could
She turn down a good man for a piece
Of cow patty? And dog poo that calls
Himself a doctor,the fartass. I can't
Stand him. And that rulo, he should fall off of a cliff.I don't like these
People.I want them to go away. But they
Wont, and for quite a while. To us annoy To no end.
That Ol bag sends fartass over to see
Fabi whose just beside herself with a
Broken heart thanks to Him.I hope they
Don't drag this out.I want Sofia to go away And let fabi and ramy be finaly together, and I'd like to see Ramon beat the crap out Of fartass. There's not to many people in this show that I like. I had hopes for jauana but she's not that bright.
Maybe somehow Ramon will find a way to
Escape. With Sofia. She is not making
This easy for him to be forgiven, but
This a soap/tn, that's how they roll.

Thank you Cynthia, good recap lousy
Episode.I guess I just want the bad guys to Get theirs. I'm gonna enjoy watching Fartass get his, and Julio.I don't like These people. At all.

Amen Sister. :-)
