Enamorándome de Ramon #58, 11/3/17; Juana thinks Ramón is kidnapped, they ask for a half million dollars!
Repeated scene from Thursday: Sofía tries to revive Ramón
and tells the man she wants to go the hospital. He responds saying that the
hospital is at least two hours away. She goes over to the van that is totaled,
and sees Dario’s uncovered and bloody face. She just stares at him, like she
knows him. The strange man offers that they take Ramón over to his house.
At the shop, Rulo is up to some tricks. He comes into the
office, asks Dalia for a certain box of parts and while she gets up, he takes her
mobile phone off her desk with a phone number. She brings him a box, but he’s
already put it in his pocket. He comes out to Chava and he takes a number out
of her address book. (Dalia, you should
have locked your phone!)
Then Chava comes into the office and asks for a part. She
gets up, goes to the other room and brings it. While she is up, Chava replaces
the phone on her desk.
Antonia is at Roxy’s waiting for her and Diego. He is
very upset about her getting out of bed and the two of them argue. She says she
no longer wants his support or help. Diego comes running out of his room
pleading for them to stop fighting. Roxy says, “This one of the last fights we
will have.”
Veronica comes to Porfi’s office and asks if he would like
to have dinner. Porfi says no, not till he can finish what he is doing and
right now he is working on a petition to go after Margarita and Cresta for her
betrayal and he wants to make sure she goes to prison. “So now you are too busy
for dinner because you have to work on this?” says Veronica. “Well if you aren’t
going to help me with this, then please don’t disturb me”, says Porfi. “You are
awfully bitter” says Veronica. Clearly she is quite upset.
Valente is job hunting for a chauffer and comes right to
the office where Ada works. (Wow, how
convenient!) She tells him how much she loved working in a funeral home and
having contact with people there. Then she takes him to see the manager.
Margarita comes to Don Pedro’s office to discuss a job.
She tells him about how someone stole information from her electronically, but
Porfi doesn’t believe her. Don Pedro offers to help her with the lawsuit
petition that is coming and tells her the job is hers. Then he asks about
Fabiola and Marg lets it slip out that Juana and Julio are now an item.
Fabi and Francisco are at dinner and Franc suggests they
go dancing after dinner. She looks at him disbelievingly and says, “Dancing? It’s
been a very long time since I’ve gone dancing.” But Franc says, “Me too, but that is the only
way I might be able to have you in my arms.” He gets totally romantic on her
saying he wants to win her love back.
Rulo and Chava get back to his place to discuss their
plans. He shows Chava how to block his caller ID so it looks private.
The man helping Ramón and Sofía somehow get Ramón over to
his place and the man’s wife is helping them. Sofía says they need a hospital,
but they tell her it’s impossible to get there now. They will do the best they
can and hope he can get better and wake up. He suggests they pray to God to
help Ramón because the hit he took was pretty hard.
Juana is at home in her room about to talk to her bird
when her phone rings. It’s Andrea letting her know that she will be out to
dinner with Santiago. Her phone rings again and Juana notices it is from a
private number. She answers and Rulo disguises his voice to make threats, saying
he has Ramón and if she ever wants to see him again, she must pay for it. “That
can’t be!” says Juana. Rulo says, “Well maybe you’ll believe me when you find
his body thrown out somewhere. Then you will regret it.” At this, Chava looks
like he is attentively taking lessons on how to negotiate a ransom effectively.
Rulo continues saying, “And don’t even try to call the police, you hear? I will
let you know where to bring the cash.” After Rulo hangs up, Chava is just
thrilled with Rulo’s professional criminal behavior. “Wow, Rulo, you are just
like a professional!” They do a mid-high five together.
Juana is tearful thinking that Ramón is kidnapped and
tries to think what to do. She goes to Julio’s door, but he is not home. She
goes back to talk to either the parrot or her saints. She tries to call Julio
but he isn’t answering…
Franc and Fabi continue at dinner with him pledging his
love to her. He moves in for the kiss, she goes for it but pulls away. He says
she is the woman of his life and is content to have her any way he can.
At the casino, Julio and Emilia meetup and she starts to
lay it on thick. She has her hand on Julio’s thigh and he’s enjoying it. She
notices that his phone rings and wants to know who Juana is. “Oh she is just
the help who works for my nieces, no one special.”
The good Samaritan man goes out to get herbs for his wife
to make some tonics to help Ramón get better.
Rulo decides to call Franc, but he doesn’t answer. So
Rulo decides to send him a text message, threatening to give his number to
Bocanegra. Franc reads it and excuses himself from the table telling Fabi that
it’s about some medication he prescribed a patient. As he leaves, Fabi thinks
to herself what a good person Franc is and how she enjoys herself with him. Then
he calls Rulo to tell him he has a week to come up with the money. But Rulo
says, “Hey I make the rules around here and with your attitude, I am really
inclined to change them! How are you doing getting that money?” Franc says, “It’s
going through the process of a loan.” “It’s been a pleasure doing business with
you” says Rulo. “I’ll be in touch.”
Juana is still in a tither when Don Pedro shows up at the
door. First he wants to know why she didn’t tell him about her dating Julio. “Yes,
I’ll explain to you about that soon, but first you have to help me because I just
got a phone call from someone who says he has Ramón kidnapped. They want a half
million dollars to return him alive!” He advises her to not be a victim of
extortion. He asks for her phone to call the person back, but Rulo doesn’t
answer. He has her call Luisa to find out if she has heard anything and
explains that she got a phone call about Ramón being kidnapped.
Franc comes back to the table and Fabi tells him what a
good doctor he is and how much better her grandmother is since he’s been
treating her. “Oh I didn’t do much, all I did was a few tests. Should be go
now?” Fabi teases and asks if he was serious about going dancing. He grabs her
arm playfully like they are about to dance. She laughs and says she has to get
up early tomorrow. “How about during the weekend?” says Fabi. He gazes at her
and says to himself, “I already have her back to where I want her to be.”
Luisa, Dalia, and Valente are enjoying dinner together.
Luisa tells Valente that she is glad he got a job at a funeral home. “Oh it’s
not a funeral home, it’s a mausoleum.” “Oh”
says Luisa, “that’s even worse.” Then her phone rings and it’s Juana. Juana
explains about the phone call she received regarding Ramón’s kidnapping to
Valente. He tells her. “I knew something strange was going on. Ramon is not
capable of jilting anyone, much less the woman he loves.”
Back at the casino Julio is getting pretty lucky. Emilia’s
phone rings and it’s “Orlando”. She declines the call too. Finally she takes
the call and says, “What do you want? I told you I didn’t want anything to do
with you anymore.” “But why?” says Os. “I am not at fault here.” Then Emilia
says, “I am just so over you now.” Os replies, “Well I’m not!” Emilia again tells
him, “I’m sorry, don’t waste my time.” She goes back to the table with Julio
who has just won a bunch of money. Emilia suggests that there are other ways
they can enjoy themselves, like going back to her place. “And your daughter?”
says Julio. “Oh she no longer lives with me” says Emilia. They share a kiss
right there at the table.
Valente explains to Luisa about the kidnappers wanting
all this money. Then Luisa exclaims that somehow they know that Juana does have
money and they want to get hold of hit. Now Dalia looks like she is wondering
exactly what she got herself involved in and thinks about what the heck that loser
Francisco is up to. She is pretty mad and tries to call Franc.
Don Pedro advises Juana to call the police but Juana
refuses to because she is afraid that Ramón will be killed by his captors. She
wants to go tell Fabi what happened and Don Pedro offers to take her.
Julio and Emilia leave the casino in her car. Around the
corner in the parking garage, Osvaldo is spying. He didn’t see who it was who
left with her. Another woman comes up and he thinks it’s someone named Nadia,
but her name is Daniela. He flirts and invites her out for a drink.
Antonio arrives at Roxy’s and she wants to know if he has
been with Margarita. He says “No, I was just out for a drink”. She cries about
how abandoned she feels and how she doesn’t want to be just an incubator and is
tired of being in bed and if it were up to her, she doesn’t want this baby
born.
At the kind man’s house Sofía cries over Ramón and he is
finally responding. The wife brings a cool cloth to his head.
Fabi comes back home to Marg’s place with Franc. Soon the
doorbell rings and it’s Juana breathlessly telling her that Ramón didn’t jilt
her, he is kidnapped. But Fabi doesn’t believe it, says it’s a lie, and shows
Juana her “proof” of a picture of Ramón kissing Sofía. “Now do you believe why
that can’t be true?” “This can’t be” says Juana. “It is true” says Marg. “In
fact she was living over across from me. She said she was looking for someone
named Ramón and I had no idea it was your Ramón.” Fabi says, “It’s all very
clear to me now. Ramón just used me.” Franc comes up and says, “Excuse me
Juana, but this just isn’t Fabiola’s problem.” Juana breaks down and cries some
more. Marg says, “Look I know what you want to believe is true, but the truth
really is that your son is not a good person.” Fabi finally says, “Forgive me
Juana, but I just don’t want to talk about this anymore.” Marg adds, “Look he
is with a mafia daughter now. It might have been his plan all along to pretend
to be kidnapped so he could get money out of you for this. How much did they
ask for?” Juana says, “A half million dollars.” Fabi looks at Juana and says, “Don’t
you dare touch the money that my parents left to you.” Don Pedro suggests that
they leave.
After they close the door Fabi starts crying and wonders
how she could have been so stupid and how could Juana come to her to defend
Ramon! Franc says “It’s obvious that Ramón planned the whole thing!”
Os and Daniela are out for a drink and she invites him
over to her place to have some more fun. Looks like father and son are going to
have similar nighttime entertainment.
On the way home, Juana asks Don Pedro if he thinks that
Ramón could be involved in his own kidnapping. He says (sounding very much like
an attorney) “Well this all sounds like conjecture by someone who is very hurt.
The think that we have to think about is that photograph she showed us.” Juana
says, “I don’t know what is worse, the fact that he could be really kidnapped
or that he might just want to take my money.” She thanks him for all his help
and apologizes for not telling him about Julio sooner. “I really didn’t want to
hurt you” says Juana. Don Pedro says not to worry, “This was something that
Margarita made comments about, nothing more. Now it’s clear to me that I am
just a friend to you.”
Emilia and Julio arrive at her place, practically ripping
off each other’s clothes.
Jorge rings the doorbell at Andrea’s place where she
lives with Juana. But Andrea is just arriving with Santiago and Juana is not
home. (It is at this point that I finally
recognize this actor playing “Santiago.” He’s the same actor who plays “Gabriel”
in “Mi Marido Tiene Familia.”) “What are you doing here?” says Andrea. Jorge
says, “I came to get a book that I lent to you about Le Corbusier”. “Isn’t
Juana home?” says Andrea. “It doesn’t look like it,” says Jorge. She opens the
door and calls for Juana but Juana is not there. Andrea goes to look for the
book. Jorge goes over to Andrea’s room and says, “You sure were all lovey-dovey
with your architect, weren’t you?” Andrea replies, “Well, the same as you and
Sara, right? She says you are a good kisser. Well here is your book. Are you
going to lend it to Sara now?” “Do you care if I do?” says Jorge. “Of course
not”, says Andrea. “I just asked just to ask”. Jorge then says, “Well what you
really need to ask me is how you think I feel about seeing you melted like
caramel over your new boyfriend.” “So are you really that jealous?” says
Andrea. “Do you really care?” says Jorge. But Andrea says, “Truthfully no. I
feel sorry for you, but I do feel very happy with Santiago now. You always
think you are so important.” Jorge scoffs, leaves the room, but Andrea is
smiling to herself.
Jorge goes back out to the living room and starts
chatting with Santiago about architectural books. Santiago says that they have
a lot more in common than he realized and says they should go out for a beer
soon.
Back at Marg’s place, Fabi goes to her room saying, “I
just want to get far away from here and never think of Ramón ever again.” Then
Franc says, “Well let’s go! Let’s leave Mexico. Let’s get married and go to
Europe or to Canada. I can get a scholarship.” Fabi says to him, “Are you sure
you really want to marry a woman who all she wants to do is forget? You know I
don’t love you.” Franc then says, “But for now, what I feel for you is enough
for me. I just know that along down the line, when you wake up from this bad
dream, you are going to love me.” (At
this point to me he is sounding a lot like his character Federico in “Depertar Contigo”)
Fabi then says, “Oh Francisco, you are so noble! You have so much love for me
and I am unable to return your love.” Franc answers, “Just think about what I
am saying. Let’s get married and let’s go far, far, away from here. What do you
say?"

Diana...i didn't even remember that Marcello's character in PAsion was with dastardly La Font's poor daughter. All I can remember is William Levy and the governor's daughter. Iguess it was not portrayed as a passionate pairing since I have no memory of it, but I know that Marcelo was a sweet guy in it.

Francisco is like a mad hornet determined to sting you. He is unrelenting, no matter what Fabi says he just moves to the next come on.
Ruh-Roh! and Chava don't even know that their merchandise tracking number is no longer valid, nor do they know that their other partner looks dead for all practical purposes. Hence his name change from Rull-Oh to Ruh-Roh!.(Or whatever Scooby Do used to say) This is the first TN where character's names actually contain punctuation marks. Wanna? and Ruh-Roh!
He is truly in for a Ruh-Roh moment when he has to explain to the owner of the van they 'borrowed' what happened to the now totaled van. If Dull-Oh is now deliciously dead, then (probably not many) but a few people might want to know how he expired. Oh OK, I see he had borrowed the van to bring his Gramma out in the country her new wheelchair, right? And you never know when the wheelchair bandits will strike, so carry heat.
If he died doing what he loved it is just not right. I would have preferred he lose an arm and/or leg in the accident and die over the course of a few days as the coyotes and buzzards circled, licking their chops. Oh, flies too. Those big noisy green ones, they're really friendly.
The patio sure nailed Emilia on turning her attention to Julio. How stupid can Wanna? be? When Daniela I think her name was, (Blue dress full length zipper) finds out she owes a bill for her fun with Qz, the look on her face should be good. Fruit, Tree, Falling?
If Rox does bear this child, I hope it is like Roxmary's baby and has horns and a tail. Witch.
At the rate Fabi is going she should be in the sack with Frankenfarter in about two more episodes.

Just rethinking some of this, if Sophia Warrior Princess had taken Dull-Oh's phone there has to be tons of incriminating evidence on there linking him to Ruh-Roh! and probably to other aspects of their crimes. Even on a deserted dirt road, someone is bound to discover the Dullovan, and hopeofully the popo will get the phone, but that might be like it going into a black hole.

Benito and family actually work and contribute something to society, thus they are "working" people, considered by the useless upper crust one evolutionary rung above farm animals.
White teeth and (secretly) adopted boycousin are from the users and takers (Non working,(read: useless))segment of society, in other cultures called leeches or remoras and thus consider themselves a far more developed life form and the blood must be kept 'pure'.

Cynthia....THank you so much for the excellent recap and photos. I especially liked you suggesting that Juana was either going to talk with her partot or her saints. My guess is her parrot.
Okay, I am finally giving up my fantasy of WOlfio bring redeemed by Juana's pure love . He is now dead to me...and he suddenly looked more salt than pepper in that screen cap. So ...now that Young blood is gone, Mrs. Mascara has decided to turn her attention on dear old dad's thigh. He is handsomer than Sonny. Just wait until she finds out that he has gambled away his money, his wife's money, and the money dense Juana was supposed to be in charge of. Sinking ship. P.s. Maybe there should be a limit to how much mascara a person can buy...a controlled substance.

CHickie...WHen I first discovered Marcelo Cordoba (Wolfio) in ALborada and PAsion, he played the loyal, kind servant\bodyguard. In Alborada, he actually married his Don's mistress who was pregnant by the leading lady's husband who had died of a sword wound !!!! He usually plays a boy scout. I don't think that I have ever seen him in a bed scene. I agree that he was not convincing in that scene with Em in bed. Just going through the motions without any true commitment shall we say....maybe it was the mascara. Wolfio is interested in gambling, not women. Anyhow..he is now dead to me. I think that Juana should marry PEdro who has been a steadfast friend. They could be good for each other. she can cook delicious meals for him , and he can take her to the theater, restaurants, trips. It could be a good life for them both. I like Pedro's sweet smile, and he has always defended Just when she was attacked by Horribelle.
I guess the old telenovelas of leading ladies and galans who were true to their soulmates is a thing of the past.

At this point I am watching Francisco/Fabiola game as if I was watching someone fishing. The fish is biting, just let her swallow it deeper and then pull! You almost got her, Francisco! Don't let her get away! Come on, Francisco! You can do it!
Lucio..I am wondering what will be left for FRan to catch with Julio gambling away what he takes from Juana. Bunch of vipers. I am waiting for both of them to get anviled. If Fran would just focus on his career instead of NUrse Naughty and bilking Fab, he could have a comfortable life. Dumb bunny!

Francisco realizes that his hired gang has botched the kidnapping, especially with the demand of a half million to ransom Ramon. The coward knows that Rullo's plan will fail and all could lead back to him. Hence his plea that Fab marry him (without love) and flee to Europe or Canada ASAP. The unfabulous Fabiola will no doubt give it serious consideration. Some in Viewerville will be willing to host a bon voyage party for this couple at the airport.
Juana is just sadly pathetic as a character. Not sure which image of a saint she prayed to in this episode. It was a male, stand alone figure shot from the side. Impossible to say if it was St Anthony (patron of finding lost items) or St. Joseph (putative husband of Mary).
Hate to say it but I miss Hortensia's annoying character. And I wish Andrea stays with Santiago.

I had thought Emilia might be slightly upset that her daughter was emotionally devastated and took off to live with her father. Wrong. I didn’t think Julio really loved Juana but was not prepared for “Oh she is jut the help who works for my nieces, no one special”. So, both are cold blooded reptiles. Let’s hope they slither into a snake pit, never to be seen again.
RGV Chick, I agree with the lack of chemistry between Juana and Julio. Susanlynn, I can't remember how hot (or not) the actor's chemistry was with LaFont's daughter in Pasion. Do you? I think it was pretty good with Cynthia Klitbo in DQTQ, but don't think his romantic scenes have been all that memorable. That can't be said of Marisol whose scenes with Alberto Estrella in Pasion almost ignited the screen.

Lucio, it's frustrating that Fabi is so furious she refuses to believe anything but the worst. She had no faith in him and as she has moved on so quickly, I'm rather wishing she go with Fran and get what is coming to her.

Diana...i didn't even remember that Marcello's character in PAsion was with dastardly La Font's poor daughter. All I can remember is William Levy and the governor's daughter. Iguess it was not portrayed as a passionate pairing since I have no memory of it, but I know that Marcelo was a sweet guy in it.

Hallelujah and pass the tequila, evil Daylight Savings Time has ended and most of the Smart clocks match the dumb clocks in this place again. The car seems to figure it out, but the truck, boat, bike and a few watches and appliances need my attention.
I think I am done. I tried not setting a few clocks and things this year, and I believe next year I will go on my merry way as the rest of the world flips on and back off new time.

We have two clocks that are in a tricky place to climb up and reach to change, so they are back to being right. I hope that I remember that their time is now correct.
Damp and dismal and 50 here. Dinner out with a friend. Relaxation. A new episode of OUtlander. Then, back to getting up at 5:15. R & R & Recharge.
Hallmark has a CHristmas movie marathon. Geez. So soon???

Kirby: I try very hard on that dialogue. But some things don't translate very well, so I do a lot of paraphrasing. Hopefully you find it entertaining. I would loved to have seen Juana to to Julio and ask him for half of the money too. He would have had a cow! I believe Adalgiza is working in a mausoleum. She used to work for a funeral home when she lived in Chicago.

Nina, are you in the USA? I've only used 911 a couple times in my life and never got a busy signal and never have known anyone who was unable to get through. I have never heard of this happening in the USA. My father and my nephews are fire fighters too and there is never a time that dispatchers are too busy or unable to answer.
