Enamorandome de Ramon #62 11.9.17: Crushing Mistakes & Unwelcomed Surprises

Pedro encourages Juana to accept the police’s plane to use newspaper to line the ransom money. She reluctantly agrees, and they instruct her to wear a wire during the meeting and one of them, Robles, will accompany her as a taxi driver. She nods as Julio arrives and gives her a fierce hug. He assures her everything will be okay, and she hopes so.

In her hospital room, Roxana asks Antonio about Diego. He tells her that Diego is with the sitter and she will take care of him all night, so he can accompany her. Roxana thanks him and then confesses that she’s beside herself because she awaited their child with such illusion, but that illusion is now dead. She begs Antonio not to leave her too and begins to cry.

Porfirio is at home on his computer when he receives the email Veronica sent as the Cresta lawyer. He reads it over the $300,000 peso offer to drop the lawyer and smiles, mildly amused that the lawyer is willing to sell his conscience for some money.
In his apartment, Francisco sits down with Agustin and tells him that he marries Fabiola (and all her millions) tomorrow and he couldn’t be happier. Agustin wonders why the hurry and Francisco confesses that he doesn’t want to give her time to change her mind and asks Agustin to be his witness. He agrees, and they toast. Agustin then realizes that he will have to move as Fabiola will likely live with Francisco and will start looking for a new place tomorrow.

Fabiola is in bed thinking about her upcoming nuptials. She admits that she is not remotely happy, not like she was with Ramon, and begins to cry. She stops herself immediately though, but the tears still run down her cheeks.

The police instruct Juana to be calm and then Robles tells her that the taxi has arrived. Andrea has also arrived and offers her support with Pedro. Juana thanks him and then leaves with Robles and Julio, who has offered to walk her down.

The next day, Juana waits in the taxi with Robles but notices that the kidnappers are late. She begins to worry but Robles asks her to be calm lest they tip the kidnappers off. Rulo calls her then and instructs her to take a picture with the money and send it to his phone number, which now no longer blocked. He hangs up and Juana does as instructed, making sure to take a picture of her face and the top layer of money.

Rulo sees the picture and smiles to himself, satisfied. He then calls Chava and tells him that they are going to be rich. He then hangs up, calls Juana back and tells her to go to the train station. When he hangs up, Robles instructs her to do as they told her and wait. A few moments later, Rulo calls her and instructs her to go to a stadium to wait.

In the living room, Pedro, Julio, and Andrea wait, frustrated and scared.

Rulo, now at the mechanic shop, calls her again and gives her new instructions. Juana begs him to not be so cruel and come meet her already but Rulo warns her that she will do as he says if he wants to see Ramon again.

Sofia and Ramon thank Zenaida and Fermin for their help and hospitality. They tell them to take care of themselves as well and they say goodbye among hugs and kisses. Fermin then tells them that he will take them to the main road and come right back. He kisses Zenaida and they go.

Rulo calls Juana again and gives her new instructions to go down a dirt road. When he hangs up, the police begin to call their back up.

Fermin takes Sofia and Ramon to the main road and they hope a truck passes by soon. At that moment, a truck passes by and Fermin asks the man to take them, if he can. The man agrees, and they say one final goodbye to Fermin before hopping on the truck and driving off.

Juana arrives at the destination and gets out of the taxi. She looks around, as does Robles, and prays that Ramon is okay.

Ramon asks the truck driver if he has a cell and the man does. He hands it to Ramon but asks him to hurry since he is running out of battery. Ramon thanks him and calls Fabiola.

In the courthouse, Francisco and Agustin anxiously await Fabiola. She arrives just then and greets both as the clerk comes to let them know the judge is ready. Just then, Fabiola’s phone rings but it’s a number she doesn’t recognize and ignores the call. She then goes with Francisco to the judge.

Juana receives a call from Ramon just then and Juana thanks her lucky stars that he’s okay. She begins to cry as Ramon tells her that he was kidnapped but is now okay. Everyone overhears the conversation as Ramon tells Juana that he’s on his way back and to tell Fabiola what happened. The battery dies then, and Juana begins to cry harder, thanking God that Ramon is okay.

The judge declares Fabiola and Francisco husband and wife and asks them to sign. Francisco is more than happy to, and he then hands the pen to Fabiola, who looks like she just swallowed acid. She goes to sign but gets a call from Juana, who tells her that Ramon is back. Fabiola gasps as Juana tells her about Ramon’s kidnapping. Fabiola doesn’t want to hear about Ramon though and hangs up before signing the marriage license, much to Francisco’s glee.

The doctor comes to check up on Roxana, who slept better tonight, and tells her that he is going to discharge her but suggests she see a psychologist. He leaves as Antonio tells her that he is going to get her some fresh clothes and will be right back. Once alone, Roxana’s wheels begin to turn, and she wonders what her next move will be.

Robles tells Juana that the police are still close, and they hope to capture the kidnappers soon, but she will need to continue answering the phone. He goes back inside the taxi as Juana thanks her stars that her nightmare is over.

Fabiola tells Francisco about Juana’s call but doesn’t want to talk about it further as she married him and hates Ramon. Francisco curses the fact that Juana interrupted their wedding, but Fabiola calls him an idiot because Juana didn’t know about their wedding. Francisco’s face darkens then and he orders Fabiola to not call him an idiot, but Fabiola asks him to not be so dumb then. She storms off with Francisco in tow.

Rulo asks Dalia if she has a part he needs to fix a car, but she is freshly out and will need to order it. As she does, and Rulo waits nearby, Luisa calls her and tells her that they found Ramon, who managed to escape. Dalia is happy to hear it and Luisa promises to tell her more as soon as she knows. Dalia hangs up and tells Rulo the good news though Rulo pretends to be shocked about everything. He then tells Dalia that he is happy for Ramon and leaves.

Outside the courthouse, Francisco looks at the marriage license and proposes they go celebrate at a restaurant. Fabiola tells him that she must go manage the shop as Antonio isn’t there today, but Francisco tells her it will be quick. He will also go help her pack tonight so that she can move in with him. Fabiola thinks he’s moving too quickly but Francisco tells her that it’s the most natural thing to do. She nods and then goes to the bathroom for a second as Agustin reminds Francisco that Fabiola doesn’t love him, and his marriage will be hell if she never does. Francisco reminds him that he will do anything to have her money.

In the bathroom, Fabiola begins to cry and splashes some water on her face. She tries to get ahold of her feelings, but it hurts her too much to know Ramon is back. She tells herself not to try and try to be happy as Ramon doesn’t deserve her tears.

Rulo calls Chava and tells him to leave the ransom pickup location as Ramon escaped and the police is likely involved. Chava hangs up and runs away as Rulo wonders what went wrong.

At the hospital, Antonio runs into Gallardo, the doctor who faked Roxana’s DNA tests. Gallardo asks him how he’s doing, and Antonio confesses that he feels down as Roxana had a miscarriage. Gallardo laments this and Antonio thanks him but must go see Roxana. Gallardo stops him though because he has something to confess that he’s held inside for months now and has been eating at his conscience. Antonio demands to know what it is, and Gallardo explains that he faked the baby’s DNA results and the child Roxana was expecting was not his. Antonio is floored, and the Gallardo tells him that he only lied because Roxana threatened to abort the child if he wasn’t the father but now, that the baby is gone, he had to tell him the truth. He offers to show Antonio the results, to prove he is telling the truth, but Antonio reminds him that the damage is done and storms off.

In her room, Roxana waits for Antonio, who storms in that very second, and asks her how she feels. Roxana tells him that she feels better now that she knows he will stay by her side. Antonio now knows she will do anything to keep him at her side including faking the baby’s DNA results. Roxana tells him that she only did it because he is the best man in the world and hoped the baby would bring them closer. Antonio tells to stick where the sun doesn’t shine as she made him feel guilty for nothing. As he goes to leave, Roxana threatens to take Diego away and she will never see him again. Antonio dares her to try and see what happens before slamming the door shut.

In the taxi, Juana tells Robles that it’s strange the kidnapper hasn’t called, and he assumes they know Ramon escaped and called the ransom off. Juana then receives a call from Ramon, who tells her they will try and take a bus back to Mexico City and he will explain everything there. Juana tells him to go to a police station though and the police will bring him back. Ramon agrees and then hangs up as Juana smiles and cries of happiness with Robles.

Porfirio takes a printout of the email the Cresta lawyer sent to the judge on the lawsuit. The judge notes that it is a bribe and Porfirio asks that the email submitted as proof that Cresta sabotaged his fraud case against them as well. The judge suggests he demand the lawyer personally, for bribing him, on top of the lawsuit against Cresta. Porfirio thanks him and leaves with a smile on his face.

Roxana is discharged at the hospital but finds that Antonio didn’t pay the hospital bill. She tries to negotiate so she can pay it later, as she has no money on her, but the representative tells her that she can’t leave without paying. She nods and then decides to call Delfina, a friend, to ask for her help.

Veronica is checking Porfirio’s computer to see if he responded to the email she sent but finds nothing. She then hears him coming, turns off the computer and stands up to greet him. Porfirio is surprised to find her there, but Veronica gives him a kiss to distract him before asking if he wants to go to lunch. Porfirio prefers lunch in his office, so he can take care of something pressing. Veronica offers her help, but Porfirio shakes his head. Veronica asks if something is wrong, as he’s being short with her, but Porfirio tells her nothing is wrong, and she kisses him goodbye so can get back to work. Once alone, Porfirio gets a call from a clerk at the courthouse, who tells him that they have submitted the emails to the cybercrimes department of the police, so they can trace the origin of the emails and then they can get an arrest warrant for the lawyer. Porfirio is ecstatic and asks him to send his thanks to the judge as well.

In her office, veronica receives a respond email which states that Porfirio would like to negotiate a higher price to drop the lawsuit. She smiles because she knows everyone has their price and sends a respond in return, asking Porfirio to name his price. She smiles, satisfied with herself.

Antonio brings Diego to the shop and he hugs Dalia, who has missed him and asks Antonio if he knew Ramon was back. Antonio shakes his head but wonders if Fabiola knows. Dalia shrugs as Fabiola has not come back from lunch and he asks her to let him know as soon as he does. Diego asks to stay with Dalia and Antonio agrees and then goes to his office. Moments later, Fabiola arrives, and Dalia tells her the good news about Ramon though she barely acknowledges this and goes into her office. Diego and Dalia shrug off Fabiola’s bad mood and decide to play.

Antonio calls margarita to tell him about Roxana’s fake DNA results and how she threatened to abort the baby if the doctor didn’t play along. Margarita is shocked, and Antonio asks her to help him get full custody of Diego and make sure Roxana never has anything to hold over his head again. Margarita asks him to be careful and tread carefully as Roxana could accuse him of kidnapping if he takes Diego anywhere without her permission, but she agrees to help him. Antonio thanks her and they agree to talk later as Antonio receives a call from Roxana. She threatens to call the police if he doesn’t return Diego, but Antonio tells her that he picked him up because he doesn’t she wouldn’t be up to taking care of him. He agrees to drop Diego off at her house later and hangs up.

At the police station, Juana and Julio wait for Ramon, who arrives right that second and gives his mother a big bear hug. She asks if they hurt him and Ramon tells her only a little and then hugs her again. Juana begins to cry and tells him that she never thought she’d see her again, but Ramon asks her to never repeat that. He then tells her that he was kidnapped, along with Sofia who tried to help, the day of the wedding. He then introduces Sofia to Juana and Julio and asks Juana to please tell him where Fabiola is, so he can explain everything. She offers to take him to Margarita’s, where Fabiola is living now, so he can explain. Sofia follows Juana, Ramon, and Julio but Pedro and Vicente stay behind, unsure of what to do.

Antonio comes out of his office and asks about Fabiola. Dalia tells her that she left but didn’t say much and he then asks her to take Diego home with her while he’s in a meeting. Dalia is happy to help, and he asks her to take some money from the money box at the office and buy him some food. Dalia thanks him and smiles as he goes.

Fabiola and Francisco arrive at Margarita’s but find that she’s out. Francisco then they should pack up and leave a note, but Fabiola prefers to wait to say goodbye in person, and Francisco asks her to make him a coffee while they wait. Fabiola looks at him for a second, surprised by his sudden machismo, and goes to make it. Once alone, Francisco smiles to himself.

Antonio meets Margarita at a restaurant and she explains that the only way to take Diego’s custody away from Roxana is to accuse her of a felony. Antonio wonders if the DNA results are enough but Margarita shakes her head; they can accuse her of extortion, but it will not be enough to take Diego’s custody away. Antonio thinks about what he can do and tells her that he will try and reach a deal with Roxana as he knows that Diego will be the only one to suffer if he gets into a fight with Roxana. Margarita nods.

In his house, Rulo curses Ramon and his luck as they were so close to being rich. Chava tells him that Dario is the true culprit, since Ramon escaped from his grasp, and Rulo wonders what happened. Chava reminds him that he and Francisco are in trouble if Dario talks but Rulo tells him that he was part of kidnapping as well. Chava shakes his head but Rulo tells him to be quiet, and everything will be okay, or else.

At Julio’s, Osvaldo calls Emilia but only gets her voicemail. He then hangs up as Julio comes home and Jorge asks him if Juana and Ramon are safe. Julio confirms they are and Jorge is shocked that Ramon was kidnapped with Sofia and didn’t leave Fabiola on their wedding day. Osvaldo is surprised they are talking about Juana so intently and Jorge asks Julio if Osvaldo doesn’t know what is happening. Julio confesses that he’s dating Juana and Osvaldo is incredulous, especially because Virginia just died, but also because Juana is a lowly servant. He asks Julio if he was sleeping with her before Virginia’s death and chides him for choosing a woman so close to home. Jorge asks Osvaldo to calm down, but Osvaldo won’t back down and tells Julio he is worse than he thought and storms off. Julio chides Jorge for even bringing it up, but Jorge just shakes his head and leaves.

Antonio comes to Luisa’s to pick up Ramon and she asks him if he knows anything about Juana or Ramon. He only knows what Dalia told him though and Luisa nods. Dalia then brings Diego to Antonio and bid them good night as Valente comes. When Dalia sees him, she gives him a big hug and tells him Ramon is back. She then explains that he was kidnapped, and Valente is happy to hear is friend hasn’t changed. Dalia confesses that he may not, but Fabiola is already back with Francisco because she’s a stubborn, little rich girl. Luisa chides Dalia for her comments and Dalia shrugs.

Julio is having a drink when Emilia calls him and tells him that she would like to see him tonight, at the casino or her house. Julio is not in the mood though and she suggests he take a hot shower and relax and they will talk later. Emilia curses Julio who leaving her hot and bothered and decides to call Osvaldo.

Osvaldo, who is at a bar having a drink, happily answers, and she asks him to meet her in 30 minutes. Osvaldo will be right there, and Emilia hangs up and smiles to herself.

Francisco and Fabiola eat a pizza and continue to wait for Margarita, who hasn’t arrived yet. Francisco asks Fabiola to call Margarita and tell her the news and Fabiola arrives. As she’s going to call, the doorbell rings and she goes to answer, thinking it’s Margarita. It’s Ramon, who calls Fabiola his love and hugs her tight. He tells her that they have so much to talk about, but Fabiola is quiet. Francisco comes up behind Fabiola and tells Ramon that he has nothing to say to his wife. Ramon is shocked and demands to know what Fabiola did. She tells him that she decided to forget him because he left her at the courthouse the day of their wedding. Ramon tells her that he was kidnapped, and Sofia being with him was only a coincidence, but Fabiola doesn’t believe him and tells him he was only a mistake in her life and she’s with the man she was always supposed to be with. Ramon tells her that she must believe him and tries to go inside the apartment, but Francisco stops him demands he leave or he will throw him out. Ramon obliges, and Francisco slams the door shut before Fabiola if she’s okay. He goes to hug her, but she pushes him away and tells him she’s fine before going into her room. She slams the door shut and begins to cry.

Outside the building, Ramon meets Juana with tears in his eyes and confesses that Fabiola got married to Francisco. Juana can’t believe it and thinks she only did it because she was hurt but Ramon is devastated. He begins to cry as Juana tells him that everyone thought he had left with Sofia though that doesn’t excuse Fabiola’s behavior. Ramon shakes his head and tells her that, if it was the other way around, he would’ve wait for her. Juana agrees as Margarita comes and demands to know what he is doing there and with Juana and Sofia, no less. She demands if know if he came to rub salt in Fabiola’s wounds, but Ramon tells her everything that happened since the day of the wedding. Margarita is unsure, but Sofia confirms that it’s the truth, as unlikely as it may seem. Juana then asks Margarita if she knew about Fabiola’s wedding to Francisco, but Margarita had no idea though, once again, doesn’t excuse Fabiola’s behavior. Ramon is shocked everyone thought he would betray Fabiola, especially because he loves her with all his heart...

Thank you, Alfredo. On-point recap, as always.

Why in the name of whatever did the dumb police let Juana call everybody and their Aunt Martha to tell them Ramon is safe? They should have muzzled her until the kidnappers had been caught. They knew that the only ones who knew that Juana has money AND that Ramon was missing are the cast of this tn ... Someone mentioned that it had to be someone close!

Alfredo, the title said everything echoed in your incredible recap.

I did not get to see this so really appreciate your filling in all the details so expertly.

"Ramon tells her that he was kidnapped, and Sofia being with him was only a coincidence, but Fabiola doesn’t believe him and tells him he was only a mistake in her life and she’s with the man she was always supposed to be with". Yes. Exactly. You and Fran definitely deserve each other. Here Ramon has escaped from hell, easily leaving the woman who would have given her life for him, and this is how you treat him?! I'm flummoxed.

If Ramon turns back to Sophia, that's it. No going back to NotAbFab. You may think Sophia is a consolation prize. Far from it, she is the grand prize and you just hit the jackpot. Don't screw up. Again.

So Roxy's truth is now revealed.

I'm kind of looking forward to Julio and Oz meeting up at Emilia's (speculation not spoiler). Three sour, dour losers.

Alfredo, thank you for your always interesting and fun summary!

Diana

A show where most of the People are dumb.
I'm bedtime. Thank Alfredo.

good morning, all. Yawn. cold and windy here...38.

Thank you, Alfredo. I continue to be amazed and grateful for the way you so quickly provide us with a detailed, wonderful recap. You truly spin straw into gold.

Fab....It is always nice when you think the absolute worst of the person that you claim to be madly, truly, deeply in love with.

Roxy is a hot mess. This is what happens when you are indecisive and play with people's feelings. I guess we all have known someone who leaves a spouse and then regrets it . grass is always greener on the other side of the marriage! Do overs rarely happens once you leave home.

OT...Alfredo...DO you always wait to binge watch a whole season of OUtlander instead of watching each week's episode? I think that you are going to enjoy this season ...so much angst and romance. only five episodes left. Have you read any of the books? The main actors are featured in this week's ENtertainment Weekly magazine. You can see the photos online...very romantic and stunning photos. Gorgeous settings and costumes.

OT...IF anyone likes movies, we saw a good one "Only the BRave" about forest fire fighters called HOt Shots based on true events.

Thank You Mr. Alfredo, You certainly fill in the huge gaps in this for me.

OK Ramoon, turn the page, and get going. Toss the Fab torch you have been carrying in the ditch with the mosquito larvae where it belongs and go make it up to Sophia for saving your bacon how many times.

You are not the first one to fall for a cute bobblehead who is a good kisser, and apparently other related activities too, but come on, do you really want a chick you have to teach
TO
DRIVE
A
C A R ?

Then the Microwave, Range, Washer and Dryer are gonna be fun. So lick your wounds and get over it. I'd betcha Ms.Sophia Warrior Princess would be more than happy to help you, so get licking.

I DO want to be watching when the wheels start coming off and Francystco is about to be found out for orchestrating this whole mess. Of Note: After the smoke clears, Ruu-Roh, Dairy-Oh, and Chewbaca have thus far gotten not one thin dime for all this craziness and they owe somebody for an old used van and the damages to a cabin.

Speaking of, now that Ramooon is safe and sound, wouldn't it be nice to buy Fermy and Zennie a nice old pickup and phone for saving their lives? That's the first thing I would do. It might even get your mind off what's her name and give you and Sophia something productive to do together.

Rocks(inherhead) has the most square mouth when she cries and screams. Wonder how she does that? Just practice I guess.

Did my eyes see Verro Stupido sending an email from her work computer? I hopeo so, that could be her Waterloo.

It is nice that our story is moooving along finally.

Thank you Anon, Diana, Nina, Susanlynn and Kirby! This was actually a very good episode to recap. As Fabiola spirals into the protagonist black hole, usually resolved for the galan, this thing continues to pick up steam.

"After the smoke clears, Ruu-Roh, Dairy-Oh, and Chewbaca have thus far gotten not one thin dime for all this craziness and they owe somebody for an old used van and the damages to a cabin." Kirby, I laughed so hard at this! Did they ever say how they got the cabin? If they did, does anyone remember? Do kidnappers look up abandoned cabins in the YP or WP?

Diana, Fabiola can be so cruel and, to me, that is her worse trait. When she wants to be, she goes right for the dagger and plunges it right into the hard of her target.

Nina, I'm hoping Veronica falls soon too. She's the worse criminal ever.

OT: Susanlynn, I usually do, depending on the show, but it's easier for Outlander since I have behind and it's not like GoT, for example, which is hard to not watch and avoid spoilers. I have seen the steamy pictures though and they are a treat. I laughed with a coworker the other day because he read an article about the actor who plays Jaime, and he was dressed in modern clothes, to which his my coworker's gf said he didn't look as good with shorter hair either. It's funny how some people look like they were born in another era and they fit in so well.

OT: I saw The Beguiled (remake) yesterday and enjoyed it a lot. I realized though, if viewers don't like Sofia Coppola's direction at this point though, they probably won't like it too much. She tends to strip everything in her movies bare and leave you to do a lot of the character work. It reminded me of Marie Antoinette in that way and I know a lot of people who thought that one was extravagant and dull too.

Not to be a Sherlock Holmes here, but didn't Rulio have Wanna? send the pic of herself and her money to a traceable phone, like maybe his normal phone? I believe that is what happened, as he was planning on having his portion of the half a Million$ and gone before they could match that phone to him. Ruh Roh!

Wintr in FLA

maybe wintEr

The houseflies won't even sit on Fabi's abandoned table. Biggest Brat Ever.

I just hopeo Wanna and company, somebody, anybody, figures it out and does not give F&F one penny. F&F can be each other's punishments. Wait till she SMELLS Nurse GoodBody (can't remember her name, Rebecca maybe) on his clothing. But by that time Flaky will probably be chasing Ramoon so hard and trying so fervently to pry him away from Ms Sophia she will not even care.

Let's not forget that before this story started Flakyola was all in Luuurve with Francystco when her parents were alive.

OT: Susy, 60 here this morning, after 86 yesterday. Surprised the whole state of Fla is not sick.

Thank you, Alfredo.

It is a record! The wedding was on Friday, less than a week from the previous one on Saturday. Fabiola deserves to be put in some kind of a record book.

I would like to analyze Fabiola's actions without judging. She has some good qualities - she is generous, loving, supportive. She also has character flaws - she is bratty, impulsive, stubborn. Being abandoned on the wedding day hurt her very much. She is still shocked about it and her judgement, such as it is, is weakened. She has no mentor or confidant with whom to get counsel, although she could have confided in Andrea. Francisco, having been her boyfriend before, got access to her and her trust. His intensive persuasion broke her resistance.

What is next for Fabiola? Nobody doubts that she will suffer and pay a price for here huge mistake. Both emotional and monetary. Francisco will help correct her those character flaws, help her mature. The faster she realizes her mistake the better she will be because with every passing day he will drain more of her life energy and her money.

What is next for Franc? Depending on his goals. If he wants to just take her money and throw her away, he just needs to go on a buying spree. Buy a new expensive apartment, buy the doctor's office as he always wanted. Make sure all her money are in assets that he can control. And then just divorce her if she is lucky or set her up for a crime and put her in jail like Dionisio in "Amor bravío." If he wants her for a longer term he needs to get her pregnant. Then using her money hire a nana/maid, and have them both cater to his desires. Like Virginia for Julio.

What is next for Ramón? What Fabiola did is very hard to forgive, even if she comes back and begs him. I recommend to move on. And who better than Sofia. Anybody disagrees?

Lucio, she is indeed in the TN Guinness Book of World Records. I would possibly give her the benefit of the doubt if some time had passed, she didn't know Ramon was kidnapped, and didn't marry Francisco.

Ideally, maybe Ramon would lose his memory and he and Sofia would be separated and 6 months would pass and all she had was that kissing picture as proof and at the end of those 6 months she would agree to marry Francisco, because he's been courting her for months and her resolve is breaking, and then find out about the kidnapping and it would send her into a tail spin but she has never stopped to consider why Ramon never got to the wedding, especially after she found out about the kidnapping. She has been cruel to him and Juana and married a man she doesn't love or, frankly, tolerate. She stares at Francisco sometimes like she had a power to shut him up forever but keep him around for company.

I think a time jump would've solved a lot of these problems because in a week timeline it's way too much.

AAA, thank you for providing such a wonderfully crafted retelling of this episode.

Everyone's comments are particularly insightful today.

Anon11:39PM "They should have muzzled her until the kidnappers had been caught" ITA and why didn't the cops advise her to shut her mouth...they really should have done it since the beginning...everyone knew about the kidnapping. A couple episodes ago, I was really afraid Benito would go tell Rulo that Juana had agents helping her.

Susy, "It is always nice when you think the absolute worst of the person that you claim to be madly, truly, deeply in love with." She was vicious wasn't she, but she was completely in character. Ramon, however, somewhat surprised. Given his history of reactions toward Fabi (when she was consoled by Francystco at Virg's funeral; finding him having lunch in her office), I really thought he was going to have one of his jealous fits and blast her for marrying the Cyst, but instead, he was pleading with her. Go figure...

Kirby, "didn't Rulio have Wanna? send the pic of herself and her money to a traceable phone, like maybe his normal phone?" Yes he did! Geez, how much training do the cops have...are they supposed to be specialists? and "I just hopeo Wanna and company, somebody, anybody, figures it out and does not give F&F one penny." Has the Cyst not figured out that Fabi has no money? Juana refused to give her money before...does he not remember that?
"Ruu-Roh, Dairy-Oh, and Chewbaca" LOL great nichnames!!

And yes, Kirby, Vero did use her work computer! I'm hoping her anvil will fall soon. What surprised me was that Poorfi didn't tell her what he's up to...he had been telling her his every move up to now. The cyber analysis should get her very soon.

Lucio your I like your "What's next" ...makes a lot of sense.

OT in the 60's today here in the RGV...with that ugly, nasty mist...good day to stay in and watch movies...if the animalitos allow it :-)

Oh! one more thing...didi you all notice how Francystco snapped at Fabi when she called him an idiot? and how he practically ordered her to make him some coffee...now that she married him, is he going to turn into a mean old cyst of a bear?

Another OT- Kirby. I really like your pic today...I know it's gloomy but what a great shot!

Thank you, RGV! And thank you, Lucio, where are my manners!

RGV, I noticed that moment. Fabiola looked like she was going to burn a hole in his head but she better watch out because he's definitely one of those "we hid our flaws until after the wedding."

I'm hoping Rulo was "smart" enough to get a disposable phone if he was going to have Juana text him a photo. Smart is the key word here, kidnappers. Dario is still MIA...I hope Fermin and Zenaida aren't in danger.

RGV I betcha a mouthfull of hay (for your animalitos) that Poorfyi is purposefully not telling Verrrrr-Oh anything anymore because he smells a VeRrrrat.

Yep we saw Cyst with Ears change in an instant from Mr. L:uuuurving, supportive sweet thing to a demanding snarling turd. Enjoy yourself Fabs.

Thanks RGV. Wintertime is kinda cool if it doesn't overdo it and only for a day or two. :-)

Alfredo, Rulo had bought a disposable phone and hacked it to hide his number and that is the 'Handkerchief" phone he had been using all along. We saw him juggling two phones several times, his handkerchief phone for Wanna? and his normal one to try and call Dairy-Oh. Then he gave what appeared to be his normal number to Wanna? to reply to with the money picture.

Yes, Alfredo. 6 month or some other justification that would make us keep respect for Fabiola. As it is, life put her through a test and she failed miserably. I think, and don't throw anything at me, what Francisco will teach Fabiola will change her. And she will become a person worthy of Ramon's love.

RGV Chick, yes don't call me an idiot, go fetch me coffee. The lesson has started on the wedding day, one minute after the wedding. I am afraid for Fabiola. Her criminal husband only has contempt for her for choosing other man and not him.

Lucio, yes the tuition for these simple lessons are going to be very steep.

Thanks Alfredo!!

Fab acts with all of the impulses and petulance of a child. So your heart is broken? Doesn't mean you marry someone else! She has a lot of growing up to do if she is going to be worthier of Ramon than Sofia. Poor Sofia will always feel like second choice though if he pick her.

Thank you Alfredo, you did a wonderful job as usual. I laughed hard when you said this: "In his apartment, Francisco sits down with Agustin and tells him that he marries Fabiola (and all her millions) tomorrow and he couldn’t be happier."

I am so disgusted with Fabi. Who in their right mind, even though jilted, runs off with someone they don't love and marries within a few days? No one! And all this over a picture of Ramon and Sofia that "proves" he ran off with her and constructed his own kidnapping. She sees him at the door, looking quite disheveled, saying he got kidnapped, and it's not enough for her. If he had made this all up to run away with Sofia and take his mother's money, he would not have ever come back! But she is too foolish to even give that thought a chance because she is too caught up with the false scenario that he dumped her for another woman. I just hope Fabi doesn't end up pregnant from Franc...ugh...gross...

Emilia is even more disgusting. First she wants Os, then dumps him for Julio, then when Julio can't see her, she wants Os again. I can't wait for her to find out that they are father and son. She should have already figured it out. She knows Osvaldo's last name right? And wouldn't she know Julio's last name? Seems the least she could ask is if they are related. A normal person asks questions like that.

Somebody needs to murder Veronica. She's just evil! But I'll bet that she will be the one to commit murder. I can see her trying to murder either Porfi or Marg once she is exposed and gets caught. I just don't know what her angle is and why she is working so hard to bring them down. What did they ever do to her?

Oh and thanks everyone for your wonderful comments yesterday. I had so many things to do yesterday and a long work day that I was too pooped at the day's end to comment. All I did was curl up on my couch and watch "Ramon" and "Mi Marido". And I went to bed early. Sometimes my days are like that.

What we have seen of Ms. Sophia thus far, second or first choice might not matter as long as she is THE choice. BUT...

What we need is a watershed moment to remove any doubt that Sophia is the only choice, like a newly divorced Fabi making a determined play for Ramon and his telling her: "No means No, and if you still don't understand, have Tia Marg explain this Restraining Order to you." in his gentlemanly understated way.

If I were Ramon, I would question just how real and true Fabiola's love was. After all, she impulsively left her home to go live with him after an argument with her family. Then quickly decided to marry him. And now, even more quickly, even more impulsively, marries a jerk she knows and admits she doesn't love because she now "hates" Ramon! Nah, if I were Ramon, she would never get another chance ... ever! What's going to happen when she has kids and they're driving her crazy? Move out and leave them to find some "greener grass" somewhere else? "These kids are bratty, I'm gonna find some other ones!"

I also would be highly upset with Juana. It didn't take much for her to believe the worst of him. I would never, ever doubt the character of my son, especially because she knows him so well. Doubt crept in when others said he wanted her money and was involved with a mobster's daughter. That wouldn't be enough for me to start doubting him. Not even close. She's weak and undeserving of his love. Fabiola is bratty, spoiled, mean and totally undeserving of his love and loyalty.

Oh something else that ruffled my feathers on last night's episode. When Fabi and Franc arrived at Marg's apartment and she was not there, Fabi offered to give him something to drink, or something along that line. But I hated his answer, because it sounded more like a command to a servant. "Make me some coffee!" Not, "Oh, honey, could you please make some coffee? I sure would appreciate it." It was just, "Make me some coffee!" I just wanted to slap him silly.

I don't Emilia will be freaked out to find that Julio and Os are father/son. She has no morals.

Veronica is just a bad lawyer. By sending that email offering money, it provided Porf proof of guilt on Cresta's behalf. Why does Veronica think Porf would care about money? He was angry at the betrayal and loss of client. She is only playing into his hands now. Porf took that proof straight to a judge. I have to let logic go with this one.

Another--let logic go--is the doc telling Antonio about the falsified dna results. In the US at least, Antonio could have his licensed yanked. The doc had no real justification for telling Antonio other than to clear his conscience. His license should be revoked.

I didn't like Oz's reaction to his dad dating Juana--in the sense that she is a servant and beneath them. I did agree that his mom is barely in the ground and he is seeing someone. Julio deserves all of the grief anyway, even if misdirected.

I just hopeo RaMoon has ever sometime, somewhere heard "Fool me once, shame on YOU, fool me twice, shame on ME.", and remembers it.

You just can't believe all that Flake News. :-)

That I dumped A week after the love of
My life supposedly life dumped me. she's a Bobble head. Dumb one too.Yeah being the Wife of frankfarter is gonna teach her A hard lesson. But she did brought it ON her stubborn self.I just
Hope he don't hit her. Cuz then all bets are off.

So what will happen when porfi finds
Out marg didn't do the deed? Will she
Stay with hot Tony,or go to somewhat hot porfi? After he catches a bullet
For her cuz craziass lawyer lady don't
Look like she like to loose.

Stay tuned for more of this messed up
Story. The temp has dropped in North Flo since the sun has come out. I need
Hot chocolate.

Actually, Juana needs to apologize to her son too. She believed the worst in him before the kidnapping call.

The elephant in the room, is Wanna did not raise Ramon and appeared to have had little contact with him until recently. IE: He does not call he Mama or Mom or anything as RGV noticed, he basically calls he 'Boss'(ie).

Actually not much that Juana does makes any sense, as she now knows her son so well, and he is such a great guy, but then when he is kidnapped and mysteriously disappears, rather than being like all Mothers on God's Green Earth and saying "Not my Ramon, or XXX, she is all, Ohhh shoot, I wish he didn't do that to Fabi."

So I don't like her either, or Fabi or Marg or Verrrro, or Rocks(inherhead), or Horteroid, or Fred or Luisa, or Dalia, but I like Ada,...today...and I like Sophia Warrior Princess enough to make up for all them.

As to Fran suddenly turning surly and letting his true nature show, I was surprised. Guys like him are usually much better at wearing a mask for quite a long time.

OT...ALfredo, I saw the new "Beguiled" , but I did not like it. I prefer the original with Clint Eastwood. Did you see that one? Very different. Sam Heughan does look very different with short hair, but he is still a very handsome guy and seems to be a very nice person from all that I have read about him.

OT..CHickie, I love your new photo of the pot of peeps...so cute.

Kirby...are we ever going to find out why Juanna did not raise Ramon herself? Was she an unwed mother?

Nina...hot chocolate sounds great...and he is a good singer !!! Very cold here but the sun is shining brightly.

Happy Veterans'Day. Thank you for your service. Just back from a wonderful program at the local elementary school. Our friend Admiral Dave and a 100 year old vet gave great speeches.

No one can even get a straight answer out of Juana on that either Susy. At one point she had never been in love, but then well, no, she did love Ramon's Dad, but he left her very early on. She never said if they were married or not, in true TN non-speak she will not refer to him as her husband, only in reference to his biological contribution to offspring. One entry in the genealogical thesaurus above sperm donor.

I suspect it will be something more benign than she was with a motorcycle gang, and "ya can't raise a kid on the back of a Harley.". :-)

I think Juana was an unwed mother because they both share the same surname of "Lopez". Usually children have the surname of their father with their mother's surname tacked on behind the surname as mothers do not change their names when they marry in Mexico.

Interesting, thanks Cynthia.

That's why his daddy need to come back. And be very rich. No money does not answer every thing and ram don't care.
But he need his daddy right now cuz jaja didn't just drop the ball, she kicked it Off the field and out of the stadium.

Did you ever watch "El Color de la Pasion?" You could see that tradition in the names in Mexico with Erick Elias' character, Marcelo Escalante. His brother (the one who killed himself in front of Rebeca Murrillo), his name was Federico Valdivia. But there was a scene where Marcelo was talking to the police about his brother's death and the police said, something like, "He was your brother, you don't have the same last name." Then Marcelo said something like, "We are half brothers, my full name is Marcelo Escalante Fuentes and Federico Valdivia Fuentes were brothers because we have the same mother." Helena Rojo played the mother, "Milagro Fuentes".

Cynthia..I had students from SOuth AMerica who used their second names . For example, I had a girl named Claudia but her brothers all called her by her second name SOfia. Her sister in law was Carmen, but the family called her by her second name Magdalena. I wonder if it has to do with a confirmation name.

Middle names are very popular in Latin America usage. I think that is because so many parents name their kids "Maria" or "Jesus" or "Jose" for a first name and is very traditional. So if you are Maria Teresa, you are called "Teresa". If you are Jose Luis, (a very popular combination) then you are called Luis.
