Mi Marido Tiene Familia #68, 11/28/2017: A Strange Proposal, a Makeover, and Return of the Matriarch

Previously: Robert tells the family that Imelda is stable but will need extreme care; how quickly she recovers will depend on that. Everyone is happy as Robert tells them they should go home and get some rest. Eugenio thanks Robert for being with them; and Blanca hugs and thanks him too.

At the restaurant, Dani thinks about Clarissa telling her that her relationship with Gabriel will not last very long…and being called a tomboy/butch. She goes to Gabriel’s office, so he asks what she’s doing there. She tells him her grandma is stable and she is there to make up some hours. Gabi thinks she should be with her family, but Dani also wants to talk to him. She wants him to listen to her without drama or shows or anything else he tends to do when they have serious things to talk about. Gabi denies putting on shows, but then concedes. Dani doesn’t want him to have problems with his family because of her. She spent all her life thinking that all her family’s sadness was because of her. She doesn’t want to create problems for him. Neither of them are alone and she knows that his father and sisters are important to him. Gabriel argues that she is more important. When he admits that there are things spinning around inside his head making noise, Dani comments that she doesn’t want to cause more noise, but he argues that he can resolve them as long as she is with him. She is not, and will never be a problem for him. He went through life not knowing where he was going or who to love. Then he met her; and ever since then, he knows exactly where he is going and who he loves…and it’s her.

At the Córsega’s, Blanca tells Amalia that she should consider this her home. She will set up a space in one of the rooms, but Amalia won’t be content with just any little space. Ever since they were children, each had their own room. Amalia accepts, but will sleep anywhere except in Imelda’s room. Blanca tells her not to be disrespectful and notes that she didn’t even go to the hospital to ask about Imelda. Blanca reminds her that this is not a hotel. If Belén and Aurelio continue well, they will have to find her a nice place to live, though Amalia thinks they want to organize her life as if she were a mere pet.

At the hospital, Juls goes to see Robert. After they comment on Imelda’s improved health, she tells him she is very proud of him. Robert responds that he feels his family seems so alone; he hates to see them worried about the money problems. He asks about her family, so Juls tells him things are getting better; she even gave her mother a hug. She is so content with what’s happening with her family; it gives her direction for her own life. When Juls mentions that she wants to talk to Blanca because things were not well when she left and she would like things to be completely cleared up, Robert comments that, for him, if she and his family get along, it would be the biggest blessing.

Later as Juls is leaving, Juls mentions to Robert that she wants them to go see Dave. Robert doesn’t think it’s the best thing because Dave may get too attached to them, but Juls can’t help but think about Dave. Rob assures her that there will be a family who will want to adopt him. Juls understands but argues that, in the meantime, she wants to help him…go visit him or something. Rob warns her that she might hurt him more than help, but Juls promises that she will be careful and asks Rob to support her. Rob then tells her he will think about it. He does think it is a noble gesture …she has a big heart. They argue about who loves whom more until Aris interrupts and asks to talk to Robert. When Juls asks if things are ok, Aris responds “No, they want to expel me from school.” Robert then asks if his parents know; and Aris just frowns and shakes his head.

At Ana’s house, Tulio tells Audi that if he wants to leave he can, but Audi argues that he misled him; they were supposed to meet the next day…he rushed over as quickly as he could. Tulio has some clothes that he can give to Audi so he can come decently dressed the next day. Audi tells him to leave that to him; he can get clothes on his own. Tulio, however, tells the maid to get 5-6 suits that he no longer wears. Audi wants to see them first, but Tulio tells him that they are fine clothes that will surely fit him well; and it’ll be as when they were children when Audi would get his hand-me-downs. These are brands that he only sees in magazines. Audi asks about the type of work he will do and the pay. After Tulio assures him that the work and payment will be good, Tulio reminds Audifaz that this money will help him resolve his situation. Audi thinks he is talking about the baby, but Tulio tells him that aside from that, Imelda owes him a lot of money. Tulio knows that Audi lives in an apartment that his mother gave him and she never charges him anything; they even take food from Blanca. Tulio also wants to talk about Aris—how is he going to give him an education, what career will he pursue, and what inheritance will Audi leave him.

Robert tells Aris not to blame himself anymore; it should be clear to him now that he shouldn’t lie. When Robert suggests that he continue his therapies, Aris wonders if those will help. Rob insists that they will since he not only has problems with attention and focus, but also has problems with self-esteem. Aris worries more about his parents; they don’t have the money to pay for another school. Rob thinks they should talk to the school director. Aris thinks he was stupid to have stolen the exam, but Rob assures him he isn’t stupid. If he continues with the therapy, he will stop seeing himself as his own enemy. He should think that this is a lesson in life. Aris then asks about his grandmother, so Rob tells him she should recuperate quickly. Aris misses her very much and asks to see her; so Rob will allow him to see her in a while, but only for a few minutes.

At Gabriel’s office, Gabriel thanks Juls for coming since he has no one else to talk to about his problems…except for the bear. When he asks her to help him think of a unique name for the bear, she suggests “Odious, Joker, Vain…,” but Gabriel wants her to be serious. After Juls guesses that his family didn’t like Dani, he replies that they not only didn’t like her, they rejected her and humiliated her; they also made thousands of threats. Juls pauses and asks his to look for the positive things instead of complaining. What good came from all of this? He responds that he has realized that his family manipulates him, especially his father. He then recalls her quoting Einstein who stated that one creates one’s own problems without realizing it. The point is that since Dani came into his life, he has been in turmoil...first the hitting, then the conflict between them since they couldn’t tolerate each other. What is clear to him is that he is tired of his father telling him what to do. Juls thinks a good name for the bear would be “fearful.” She points out the he has always been afraid of what his father thinks of him and of what would happen if he didn’t do as told. Gabriel agrees, but it’s not that easy. She gives him homework and tells him to answer a question…what does he want out of life…what are his expectations? Gabriel frowns and hopes he doesn’t fail the assignment. Juls tells him to make a list of his dreams. What does he want his life to be like in 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 years? Once he can answer that, he will know what road he needs to take. Gabriel agrees and is going to get her an apple to see if he gets extra points.

At the bakery, Eugenio tells Xavi that it seems that the 7 plagues have befallen them—his mother’s illness, the debts, and now he is becoming useless. Xavi thinks that problems make a person stronger; and debts sometimes helps us make new friends, but Eugenio tells him he has no idea how worried he is. The bakery is not bringing in enough. When Xavi suggests they come up with something new, Eugenio thinks about creating a new type of bread.

In Imelda’s hospital room, Aris cries as he tells Imelda that he did what she told him…he told the truth. He is afraid; though he knows it was the right thing to do. Aris would love for her to give him a hug and wonders who is going to hug him when he tells his parents the truth. Aris pleads with Imelda to get better soon.

At the Córsega home, Juls wants Blanca to know that Juls is not her rival. If she left, it was because she feared losing Robert. When Blanca admits that she also was afraid Juls would take Rob away from her, Juls thinks there is no use in living in fear. Blanca agrees. Juls has decided that she needs to be united with all of them; she accepts that her boyfriend has a family. Linda passes and makes a snide remark about how close they are now, like mother and daughter. Blanca tells Juls not to mind Linda and wants to continue their conversation. Juls thinks she will probably think the question she will ask her will sound very strange, but first, she wants to know if there is anything good Blanca sees in her; or does Blanca continue to see her as a bad person…stubborn... Blanca says, “No;” she sees many good things in Juls—all the sacrifices she has made, her patience with them, how she has changed…she has no doubt that she loves her son. Juls holds Blanca’s hand and then tells her it’s time to ask her…”Do you want to marry me?”

Blanca’s eyes almost pop out as she tries to pull her hand away from Juls. Blanca doesn’t know how to react; she asks what Juls is talking about. Juls explains that they say when people get married, they don’t just marry their partner; they also marry the family. After everything that has happened, including the cancellation of the wedding…and once Imelda is out of the hospital, Juls wants to ask Robert to marry her. Blanca is ecstatic and jumps with delight…that would make her very happy. She is surprised at how modern Juls is…a woman proposing to man! After Juls comments that sometimes women have to take the initiative, Blanca loves that she has made that decision. Juls wants this time to be different; she wants all the family to participate. When Juls asks Blanca if she can count on her because if Robert accepts…, Blanca interrupts and says, “Of course, he will accept!” Juls reiterates that if he accepts, she will be marrying his whole family (as she grimaces). Blanca yells with happiness as she now understands her question…it just sounded a little strange. Blanca grabs Juls’s hands and as she jumps she says, “Of course I want to marry you. I want you to be part of the family…Yes! Yes! I accept!” Juls tells her that’s all she needed to know before moving ahead and asks Blanca not to tell Robert anything. Blanca, with big smiles, jumps and continues to say, “Yes, I do; yes, I do!” as she hugs Juls.

At the hospital, Robert tells Tavo that Aris will need to resume his sessions. Aris might be expelled from school for stealing a test. Tavo agrees, but tells Robert that the decision to get better needs to come from Aris; it’s part of cognitive therapy. Robert questions if Aris did this for attention, Tavo reminds him about confidentiality. He just needs Aris to make the commitment. Robert tells him he will make sure that happens.

As Tavo leaves, Daphne approaches. She has been worried because ever since the kissing incident, he has been very distant…and they have known each other for many years. Robert emphasizes that he had to be clear with her; she knows he loves Juls. Daphne understands and just wants to be his friend. She has truly realized that Juls and he will always be together. When she tells him she doesn’t want to lose his friendship, Robert agrees and shakes her hand (as the suspenseful music plays).

At the Córsegas, as Juls leaves, she asks Blanca for one more favor…to teach her how to make bread so she can help them out. She wants to help her and Eugenio so business at that the bakery will pick up…and it’ll also be part of the surprise for Rob. Blanca gladly agrees. Juls thanks her and reminds Blanca that she is a very valuable person. Juls then asks for one last favor…that Blanca fight for everything she wants out of life…and she offers to help her realize all the dreams she wants. Blanca will keep it in mind, but after Juls leaves, she gets an apprehensive look.

At Belén’s store, Amalia can’t believe she has worked for such a long time and has nothing; she demands her rights. The house they live in is not just Belén’s; their parents left it to both of them. After Belén asks her to calm down, Amalia refuses because her world is falling apart. Belén kicked her out for the infidel of her husband. Belén states that Aurelio is no longer unfaithful, but assures Amalia that she will not leave Amalia unprotected. She offers that they look at the accounts so they can find a nice place, but Amalia just waves her off. When Hugo comes down, Amalia tells him to learn from her---if he doesn’t to something now, tomorrow will be too late. He should learn from them since they are older.

As Amalia walks upstairs, she receives a call from Enzo who scolds her for not practicing enough for the contest. He will be waiting for her. He wants her there now and will support her till the very end.

Juls is at her apartment with Luz and two other ladies who have gathered clothes and toys to donate to the orphanage. When Luz comments that Juls has gotten attached to Dave, Juls admits that she has. Though she has only seen him a few times, she cares deeply about what happens to him.

At Polita’s, Audi is about to cut his hair when Polita shouts that he shouldn’t because he could lose his strength just as Samson did. Audi insists that he should cut it…it would be a way of reinventing himself; he wants to say good-bye to failure and mediocrity. He has to do it! Audi cuts off some hair as Polita screams.

Mari meets with Gabriel and Dani to present her proposal for Xavi’s presentation including the signing of autographs and a raffle so she can help with the costs. Gabriel is very impressed with her business approach, but it's not necessary. She is very appreciative and invites him to their house for dinner. Dani has already gone to meet his family now he should too. Dani thinks they’ve had enough for now and they are rushing things. She wonders if all relationships need to be so rushed, but Gabriel very graciously tells “Ms. Osa” that he will definitely agree to go have dinner. He tells Mari to convince her sister because he is more “on” than a sock. After Mari leaves, Gab points out that he has an ally in Dani’s family. Dani assures him that Mari will always side wither, but Gabriel emphasizes that Mari will organize a gathering at her house…and he will look very handsome. Dani thinks the perfect name for the bear is “Vain.” Gabriel likes the name—Vani Oso Mussi Córsega!

At the orphanage, the director receives the box of donations from Juls and her friends. When he expresses his appreciation, Luz assures him that it will continue since everyone at the company will be donating. As her friends go for the rest of the boxes, Juls gives the director a canvas hoping that it will be a distraction for Dave. The director hopes so because he worries about Dave…it’s like as if he were mute. He spends hours without talking or without interacting with anyone. He thinks he is very depressed. Juls will tell Rob and asks for Dave who is out in the hall looking at the moon…something he likes to do. Juls goes to Dave who is happy to see her and hugs her. She sits with him on the bench and gives him his present. She tells him she will help him fill it in, but Dave doesn’t know how to paint. Juls assures him she will teach him. He reads the note “To David, an angel in my life” She tells him he showed her that they have to be courageous and he is the most courageous person she knows so she wants to keep learning from him. They think about what they can paint so Dave suggests a sea with lots of sun and many palm trees—he has only seen them on TV. When he kisses her, she puts her arm around him and smiles as they look at the moon together.

At the restaurant, Clarissa and Cassandra enter Gabi’s office, so Gabi asks what the beasts want. When Clarissa tells him they came looking for their brother, Gabi wonders if there is a lost brother somewhere. Cassandra laughs and tells him they are there to make sure he finds his way. Dani listens at the door. Gabriel demands that they stop putting thoughts in his head. The food there is very good; and it is the manager who says so. Clarissa sneers that is why they are there—as long as he continues with his little girl/boy/carpenter/ waitress, his reign at the restaurant is over. Cassandra and she will take charge of the restaurant. Dani is dismayed. Clarissa tells Gabriel he shouldn’t bother calling his father since it was his father’s idea. Gabriel doesn’t know what’s happening to all the Mussis; they are going crazy. Cassandra adds that he will continue to work there, but under their supervision. They will come up with his role. Clarissa mocks that destiny is laughing at him.

At their apartment, Juls compliments Robert on his cooking, He mentions there are other things he does well…like kissing, so they kiss to confirm. He then brings up her visit to the orphanage; so she tells him that she did go and was touched with Dave; he hugged her so tightly. Robert is concerned about the strong bond she is creating with Dave, but Juls wants to have that strong tie. Robert is concerned that if he has difficulty trying to keep his distance, they will have even more difficulty; someone will adopt him. Juls still wants to be his friend and will always want to be his friend wherever he goes; she promised Dave she would be near him and she will do it. Robert then asks how she will feel when they take him away; she will suffer. Juls hopes someone in Oaxaca will adopt him so she can see him; meanwhile, she wants to have the privilege of being near him. They shouldn’t stop living for fear of suffering. As they kiss, the doorbell rings. Juls thinks it’s Blanca who is coming to teach her how to make bread…so she can help out the family too. Blanca and she have been getting along better. Robert can’t believe it…she and Blanca together.

At the restaurant, Gabriel sits at a table looking worried as Dani goes to ask Gabriel if he is well. He signals yes, but Dani noticed his worried look. Gabriel tells her that the only thing that preoccupies him…or rather occupies him, is that she love him and that she be at his side. When he calls her “osito,” Dani takes note since he has never said it that way and tells him she will always be there; she isn’t going anywhere. That’s the only thing that is important to Gabriel. They hug tightly.

At the bakery, Blanca and Julieta are in their baker outfits as Blanca gives Juls her first lesson and Juls takes notes. As Blanca continues, Juls looks overwhelmed.

Time-lapse: At Ana’s house, a made-over Audi (wow!) meets with Tulio. Amalia and Enzo practice for the contest. Juls spends time teaching Dave to draw. Imelda continues her recovery. Blanca continues to teach Juls to make bread as Eugenio watches and smiles.

Several days later—

At the Córsegas, everyone is present as Robert walks in with Imelda. Eugenio shows her the vase of flowers just for her with the message “You are our life.” Everyone is happy and comments how important it is to have her back…and how strong she is. Imelda tells them that her strength comes from their love, the happiness he feels when she is with them. Each one is a part of the motor that makes her heart beat. She is alive because of and for them. Frida and Aris kneel beside her telling her how much they missed her. When Audifaz gets close, Imelda is pleasantly surprised with his new look. They then have a group hug and chant for their grandma.

Next day—

At the bakery, Blanca and Juls are baking. Blanca thinks Imelda will be so impressed that they made a special bread for Robert together. Blanca thinks it will be the best bread; and Juls tells her she is a very good teacher. They’re excited as the bread is done and they bring it out. Juls tastes it and is happy that she finally prepared something well. When Blanca emphasizes that Juls made up the recipe, Juls thinks they should come up with more new recipes as that could boost business. Blanca agrees; and when she asks what Juls will call the bread, she will call it, “Pan Imán” (Magnet Bread).

At the sauna, Robert and Eugenio discuss his health. Eugenio feels better, but doesn’t want to talk about hospitals or doctors…excluding Robert. Eugenio brings up that Blanca and Juls are up to something. Robert noticed too; they seem to have become very friendly. Robert then mentions to Eugenio that he is thinking about asking Juls to marry him again. Eugenio smiles; and Robert knows it is good news.

Later, Blanca is setting the table as Gabriel and Dani enter. Blanca is happy Dani brought him and insists he stay to eat with them. Gabriel very gallantly agrees. While Blanca goes to freshen up, Gabriel and Dani finish setting the table.

In her bedroom. Blanca puts on the earrings Robert gave her and tweaks her cheeks as she gets a call from Ana who is asking about Imelda. Blanca tells her Imelda is home and thinks it strange that Ana has not come to see her. Ana replies that she had some things to do and is glad Imelda is home. She asks Blanca to let her know if she needs anything. Blanca thanks her and tells her she loves her; and if she wants to continue discussing the divorce, she shouldn’t hesitate to call her. Ana appreciates it and tells Blanca she loves her too.

As Eugenio and Robert arrive at the building, they see Tulio. When Eugenio reminds him he didn’t want to see him, Tulio tells Eugenio he was just passing by. Robert tells Tulio to leave; they don’t want any problems. Tulio insists that he just came to give them notice. His mother signed a document where that describes what will happen if they don’t pay their debt. If they don’t clear up the debt, he will stay with the building and all the properties.

Comments:
I really thought Dania was going to run after she overheard the hermanastras, but she stuck by Gabriel...good for her!! They do seem so in love and intent on being there for each other.

I love Blanca’s expressions; they are so genuine. sometimes she seems like a little girl...though nothing like Amalia...never!

So Belén ‘s house is equally owned by Amalia...why wouldn’t Amalia insist that Belen be the one to find a place for her and Aurelio?

More tomorrow...G-nite!

Rgv Chick, your level of detail was extraordinary. I don't believe there was a scene or a word that you did not capture - and perfectly at that.

"Gabriel agrees and is going to get her an apple to see if he gets extra points" and "Robert agrees and shakes her hand (as the suspenseful music plays)" were among my many favorites.

"Dani doesn’t want him to have problems with his family because of her. She spent all her life thinking that all her family’s sadness was because of her" made my heart ache. " He tells Mari to convince her sister because he is more “on” than a sock". How could anyone not love Gabi? I don't know how the evil (but not step) sisters can treat him so shabbily. Will he really have to work for this inept duo? Perish the thought.

Despite the sobering ending Tulio gave to last night's episode, there was much to love. Julieta asking Blanca to marry her made perfect sense, all things considered, didn't it? How true that your beloved's family is indeed part of the equation. Julieta looked right at home in her apron baking bread with Blanca. Oh, OT, I loved Julieta's pale blue shirt with the ruffles on the sleeve. She has such style. Definitely a What to Wear item...

Julieta with Super Dave was heartening. Luz' positive presence continues to inspire. Eugenio seems taken with Xavi - Blanca seems to have a way to go :). Ari has learned his lesson with much regret. Imelda is home.

I was also thrilled Dani supported Gabi. Not long ago, she would have been running out the door.

"made-over Audi (wow!)" had me smiling. I wonder how long it will take Tulio to decimate Audi's spirit. Just the thought makes me so sad.

Also Rgv Chick, I'm so glad you brought up the point that Belen and Amalia equally own their home. Amalia wasn't too far off when she commented that she feels like a pet trying to find a home. I also thought you were spot on in that Amalia and Blanca both have childlike qualities and lack self esteem for certain.

This was absolutely wonderful Rgv Chick. Thank you!

Diana

RVG Chick: Clarissa & the Buji Idiots still upping the ante against Daniela ?

Excellent, RgvChick! I really enjoyed reading the recap this morning. Thank you.

Amalia and her plot continue to grate on my last nerve. Enzo has to call her and remind her about practicing for the contest? What is that? As for the house she jointly owns with Belén, Belén never asked her to leave. Amalia left in a huff like a child. She should have stayed and discussed the matter with Belén and come to some kind of accommodation: like paying her for her half of the property if this is going to be a permanent arrangement with Aurelio living there and Amalia not wanting to stay there.

I, too, love Blanca’s expressions. She was actually jumping up and down in glee like a kid. . Funny that although Diana Bracho has been so known for her antagonista roles, I have only seen her in protagonista roles in “Cuna de lobos” and this one.

All in all, Audifaz is looking much better after his Tulio forced makeover. Here is hoping that he is not suffering at Tulio’s hands or being humiliated in his new job.

It was great seeing Julieta step up with confidence in the Córcega clan with Blanca and asking to marry the family and to learn how to make bread. She and Dave looking at the moon together was just sweet.

Thanks for the excellent recap RGV Chick!

Oh Gabi looked so broken after that meeting with his sisters. Does his father actually think these two women can run the restaurant or is he just trying to humiliate Gabi? They will probably make him a waiter. Gabi now knows his time is running out to make his next move.

Belen should buy Amalia out of her share of the house and Amalia can use that money to rent or put a down payment on her own place. She is going to drive the family bsc as long as she stays at Blanca's.

Has anyone noticed that in the credits the name of the actor playing Enzo is "Latin Lover"? Is the guy famous and that's what he goes by?

Dafne's reappearance right as Juli is about to propose is ominous.

Happy to see Imelda back. I'm sure she will realize quickly what Tulio pulled on her in the hospital.

Dave and Juli are cute together but Rob is right in his advice. We are all hoping they adopt him but if it doesn't work out it will be hard for little Dave.

Carvivlie, good call on Dafne.

Carvivlie,I had some time on my hands this a.m.: the guy who plays Enzo is Víctor Manuel Reséndez and is known as “Latin Lover”.

Thanks Jarifa! That is just weird to me...and presumptuous. Latin Lover---who goes by that?!

Ah, it turns out he is also a professional wrestler. Now it makes sense.

That does make sense.

Thank you, Diana, Jarifa and Carvivlie, for stopping by and providing your delightful comments.

Diana, So sorry the Blog Monster gulped up your comment...I always enjoy your opinion and insight.

Jarfia, "Audifaz is looking much better after his Tulio forced makeover" ITA...he looks so much more handsome...I hope Polita keeps her hands off; she doesn;t need any more babies :-)

Carvivlie, yes, I had noticed the "Latin Lover" and always assumed he was a professional dancer; so Jarifa, thanks for looking that up! And "Dafne's reappearance right as Juli is about to propose is ominous." OmGoodness, the woman is truly a snake in the grass, waiting quietly for her prey and tha perfect moment to strike.

I think Gabi's father is just trying to pressure Gabi into falling back under his control...regardless of who he tramples. the hermonsters are such pathetic airheads. The restaurant will be doomed under their supervision, but I suppose the father has so much money he just doesn't give a flyin' flip as long as Gabi does as told.

Steve, "Clarissa & the Buji Idiots" good name! and it would fit one of those hard rock bands too...I can just visualize the 2 Hermonsters in their costumes :-D

Really great, RgvChick! Thanks much! I guess you really do "watch Mi Marido too..." :-)

There is quite a lot to chew on in this chapter. Tulio the Awful may have actually done Audifaz a favor... up to this point. I doubt that is actually his intention.

There are some sweet couples in this novela, which is very gratifying, but it's Gabriel and Dani that currently make it for me. Maybe it's the "me gustas tu" music :-)

Thanks again for the recap, it really helped with some things I didn't understand.

Andy, I wait for the Gabi/Dani scenes! I'm thinking of trying to buy the song and download it to my mp3 so I can work out to it. That and "Llegaste a mi vida". I love that song too at the end credits. Actually I like the opening credits song too. The only song I'm not into is Linda and Bruno's but I think it is because I can't stand them so they have ruined it for me.

I think Tulio wants to help Audi in his own way. He wants him to be more like him but I'm sure his controlling nature will overshadow any help he gives Audi. Also, he can use it as a way to manipulate Audi so I can't see this turning out well.

Excellent recap, Rgv Chick! Gabi is so wonderful and sweet that he's almost a female fantasy figure of what a boyfriend/fiancé should be. Clarissa and Cassandra managing the restaurant? Yep, what could possibly go wrong? Ah! A new bread! Eugenio, Xavi and Julieta have the same idea. Will that be the salvation of the Córcega bakery? And maybe they should make use of Marisol's pr/marketing skills as well. I too wonder what Daphne is really up to.

Thank you, Andy and SpanProf!

Andy, yes, indeed, I do watch this TN faithfully. To think that I almost din;t watch it...what a shame that would have been! It is fast becoming one of m favorites. Many of us agree with you about Gabi and Dani...they are by far the sweetest, most captivating couples I have ever seen. THe song does help, but the chemistry between the two is outstanding...and I don;t just mean the "physical" chemistry. These two actors have really clicked.

SpanProf, " Eugenio, Xavi and Julieta have the same idea...maybe they should make use of Marisol's pr/marketing skills as well. What a brilliant team that would make! Robert could add some nutritional info on the bread too! :-)

I don't trust Tulio AT ALL! If he is giving Audi a job it's for his own benefit...he has something up his sleeve and it's not good. Why would he bring up Imelda's debt when he was telling Audi he could use the money from this job...somethin' just ain't right.

Rgv Chick - Thank you for the recap!!! Audio problems were even worse last night.

The Audifaz makeover big reveal is a hit! He looks 100 times better. I wonder what type dirtbag job Tulio will have him doing?

There were lots of camera angle shots on people's hands last night. Mostly people holding another's hands. I wonder what that was all about?

I should not have mentioned, yesterday, the audio problems I'm having lately with this telenovela. Nope, not at all. Because they've gotten worse. Entire sentences are gone, like the Mute button was pushed. Sometimes a completely black screen. And even more stuttering.. Gah!!! I guess the telenovela/TV gremlins wanted to show me that, yes, it can get worse. LOL I hope someone with pull has noticed this and will get it worked out. It's very distracting and annoying to watch and try to follow. I shall endure. ;-)

Thanks, Rgv Chick. Terrific recap.

She wants him to listen to her without drama or shows or anything else he tends to do when they have serious things to talk about. Gabi denies putting on shows, but then concedes.

Those two are so cute!

Gabi is so wonderful and sweet that he's almost a female fantasy figure of what a boyfriend/fiancé should be.

SpanProf, ITA. Gabriel is so unwavering in sticking by Daniela and not even pressing her to dress more girly. But I do think only part of that is his love for Daniela, while the other part is finally wanting to be his own man.

Clarissa and Cassandra running the restaurant? I'll bet those two never worked a day in their lives.

Doris, so sorry to hear your technical problems have gotten worse. I'd be really upset if that happened to me. I did notice the camera shots on the hands. In regards to Julieta and Blanca, I think it was a way of conveying the support and closeness that these 2 characters are finally bringing to fruition. Or maybe it's just and "Osorio" thing? Others could probably tell us.

"[Audifaz] looks 100 times better" most definitely!

Niecie, thank you! "Clarissa and Cassandra running the restaurant? I'll bet those two never worked a day in their lives." ITA, the only thing these two work at is seeing who can be more obnoxious.

Alert: On the east coast, Mi Marido ends a little shy of 10:00 PM due to a soccer match. Start time is unchanged.

Thanks Niecie for the info about end time. Hope we don't miss out on anything since the show usually runs a couple of minutes over.

Doris, I hope you have complained to your cable provider about the issues with the station. Actually, I was having that problem with a lot of my stations, after starting out at one or two, and it ended up being a bad cable on the roof (I live in an apt. bldg). You may need them to come out.

Carvivlie - the problem is only with my telenovela. All other channels, shows and recordings are okay. I watched a hockey game last night, on at the same time as MMTF, and it was perfect. I suspect something wrong with the Univision feed and maybe my cable provider. Might be contract/rates discussions between them? 😛

Niecie in MD - I had pretty much the same thought about Gab's sisters running the restaurant. It would certainly serve Augusta right.

Just saw Mi marido started a little earlier (maybe 5 minutes?).
