Mi marido tiene familia Monday 11/13/17 Capítulo 59: Surprises All Around-OR-Linda is Now Cornelio
The whole Córcega clan is at the festival. Blanca is having the time of her life telling people about having discovered her son and how proud she is of him. They are all happy to be with family. There is regional dancing, fireworks, parades through the streets and food. Robert finds out that the festival is big with tourists as well as the locals. The eight regions of Oaxaca are going to be represented. They have a seat at the stadium for the presentations and entertainment. Later, the whole family including Robert, are passing out samples of the bread. Bruno appears on the scene and wonders from afar how Linda knows Robert. Linda tells Marisol that she is so happy that Julieta is not there with them.
Julieta and Gabriel meet at the festival. He has two tickets to the big show and tells her they have to hurry. Julieta is not interested. She doesn't think she will be able to stay that long and she never got to see Robert. She is worried. Suddenly, Julieta points out Daniela to Gabriel. When Daniela sees him, she leads him on a chase through the stands in the market place and the parade filled streets. Julieta follows. They don’t find her. Gabriel tells Julieta how he is completely taken with Daniela. The next thing is that they become incorporated into some group's dance on the street.
Ignacio comes by to visit Frida. Frida lets him in and is overjoyed to see him. He tells Frida he has had a lot of work. Imelda is not pleased and tells Frida to please go to her room. Imelda tells him he is no longer welcome at her home since he lost all of his rights when he disrespected Marisol.
Blanca sees Marisol in action distributing the bread samples and is impressed. Marisol tells Blanca that she has found out that she is passionate about sales. She is going to become a great sales person and not of just catalog clothing and footwear either. She is going to promote other things, too. She is going to triumph for Frida and her parents. They hug. As she continues passing out bread, Marisol is thinking that she is going to represent Xavi Galán.
Imelda is slapping at Ignacio and has him out in the hallway. She does not want to leave him back in because Marisol does not want him talking to Frida. He insists that Frida is his daughter, too, and that he has his rights. He tries to push his way past Imelda but she grabs him by the collar and stands her ground. Xavi has heard the commotion and comes to the rescue. Imelda tells him that Ignacio wants to take Frida and that Marisol has not given him permission. Ignacio insists that he just wants to talk to his daughter. Xavi says that maybe it is a good thing for Frida to talk to her father and he Xavi will make sure Ignacio does not get out of line. Ignacio calls him a failure and asks who he thinks he is. Xavi says he is Marisol and Frida's friend and if Ignacio bothers them, he will have to deal with him .
Bruno sees Linda fooling around with Robert taking selfies. He sees it as flirting so now he knows why Julieta was upset. Linda is after Robert's money. Bruno calls Linda who literally jumps when she sees who the call is from. She leaves Robert "for two seconds" to answer the call. Bruno wants to talk to her and is right behind her. Linda tells Robert she is off to see a friend and he will pay for the ice cream, right?
Julieta sees Robert and his two sundaes. They both think the other looks great, are happy to see each other and didn't know the other one was coming. They both miss each other. She wants to take a walk with him and chat. Gabriel is left on his own.
Linda is all happy to see Bruno. She sent him a message but he never answered. Why did her call her now? Does he have a solution to "their thing"? He makes it clear that they don't have a "thing". She asks: why did he call her? He saw her with an older man. He thinks that the guy must be her boyfriend. Linda starts laughing. He knows the guy's name is Robert Cooper. Linda asks if he is jealous. If that is so, "their thing" isn't completely dead. He wants to know where she knows Robert from and if she is going to go after his money, too. Robert's real name is Juan Pablo and he is her brother. Linda wants to know where Bruno knows him from. He says he will tell her later, but they have to get out of there now. He grabs her by the hand and they are out of there.
Julieta and Robert talk. She asks if there has been anything new going on. He says he just misses her. She asks if he is sure. He wants to know why she is asking him that. She says because those eyes of his don't lie. She does not know how much he misses her and how horrible his nights have been. She tells him about staying in her mother's bedroom. She makes a point of telling him that even though they are apart right now, Robert can count on her for anything at all. What happens to him, happens to her. She wants him to know that if somebody does something to hurt him, she will deal with them because she respects him, because she believes in him, because first and foremost they are friends. Robert wants them to continue being more than friends. She wants to put everything in its place and now with their separation more problems have appeared. She mentions having seen her father and smiles. She asks if she can give Robert a hug and he says yes.
The magical hug is broken up by Julieta seeing Bruno walking with Linda down the street. Linda and Bruno see Robert and Julieta. Bruno takes Linda’s hand and they take off running. Julieta and Robert head them off and corner them on the street.
Julieta asks Bruno and Linda what they are doing together. Linda answers that they were just at the festival. Bruno has to confess that Julieta is his sister. Julieta starts saying, don't tell me that the two of you . . . Bruno cuts her off saying that he and Linda are just acquaintances. Julieta tells him that is all that they better be. It is for the best that they don't see each other again. Julieta cannot see the two of them together. It would be a disaster. Linda gives her a dirty look and Robert calls her on it. Linda whines some sort of an excuse about his ex-girlfriend. Robert corrects her Julieta is not his ex-girlfriend. Bruno says there is no reason to fight because he really doesn't like Linda and it was merely a coincidence that they ran into each other. Julieta thinks that it is better that they separate for their own good. Robert and Julieta turn to leave as Linda mocks Julieta for what she said. She turns to Bruno saying that she cannot believe that that witch is his sister. She cannot believe that she is her sister-in-law. Bruno reminds her that if Julieta is her sister-in-law it is through Robert because she and he have nothing going on. Linda is not happy.
Robert and Julieta go walking along the streets. Julieta tells Robert to just imagine if Bruno and Linda were friends. It is a good thing they do not like each other.
Daniela ends up at a mezcal booth where there is a mezcal drinking competition going on. The prize is a uniquely designed backpack. She volunteers. Gabriel sees what is going on and also volunteers. Daniela can hold her mezcal better than Gabriel and wins the backpack. She takes off running again but they end up kissing and it is the longest and best kiss Gabriel has had in his whole life. They kiss again but when Gabriel tries to go for a third kiss, Daniela is nervous and looks like she is on overload. She does not know what to say. She has to go. She leaves. The crowd cheers for Gabriel.
Julieta bumps into Blanca and they have a warm reunion. Blanca asks Julieta to come back home because of how depressed Juan Pablo is. From her heart, Blanca says she will do whatever is necessary to get along with Julieta. Julieta says she just has a lot of things to consider. Blanca wants to see her son happy. It does not matter what has happened in the past, they can try to be friends. She cajoles Julieta asking her if she is going to come back. Julieta ends up smiling and they end up hugging. Blanca tells her she is very fond of her. She has to come back. Julieta joins in passing out samples of the bread. She wants to be a part of it all. Blanca is all smiles.
Ignacio gets to talk to Frida who is now in tears saying that he no longer loves them; that he left them. Ignacio insists that he loves her. Frida says he is never there for them and never helps them. Eugenio walks into the room and informs Ignacio that this is the last time he will come to his home unannounced. Ignacio lost all of his rights when he made a fool out of Marisol. He only bothers to see Frida when he feels like it. Eugenio is there to defend them. Ignacio says he just wanted to see Frida. Eugenio tells him to be a man and be responsible. Does he think that Frida does not know what is going on because she is just a kid? Frida is suffering because of him. Eugenio tells him to get out. Ignacio salutes and leaves in silence. Imelda is left to console Frida.
Julieta has to go back to work. Blanca thanks her for stopping by and helping out. She asks if she can call Julieta later since she wants to talk to her. Julieta says of course she can anytime. Blanca wants her to remember that Robert misses her and she does too. There is no doubt that he loves her and Blanca does, too. They hug and kiss goodbye and Julieta leaves. Julieta says goodbye to Robert who hopes they can see each other soon like all day long as before. Julieta just smiles. He can call her anytime. She always has her cellphone with her. After Julieta leaves, Blanca is anxious for Robert to know that Julieta loves him. She is sure Julieta will be back.
Linda and Bruno are still walking around and talking. He wants to know if she was bothered finding out that Julieta was his sister. She sure was. She can't stand her and they get along terribly. Well, Bruno says he told her the truth and he reminds her again that they have nothing going on. It is no surprise to Linda that he and Julieta are siblings. They are both unbearable. He has to have noticed that she was happy to see him. Bruno asks if she isn't happy to be with Cornelio. No way. She has also asked him to leave her alone. She knows she made a mistake and she wants to change. Can't they fix it all? Bruno says he has forgotten everything including having met her. He leaves her alone on the street.
Julieta passes by and she gets into it with Linda. Linda wants to know why she didn't tell her that Bruno was her brother. Julieta asks might it be because she didn't know that they knew each other? Julieta wonders if Bruno is the guy she . . .(has been pining for?) Linda says of course not. Linda then goes on saying that Julieta is the pain that she always is. Julieta is very happy that Linda has nothing to do with Bruno. She needs to stay away from him. Together they would be the end of the world.
Julieta next runs into Daniela. Daniela is so excited about the kiss but also confused. Julieta invites her to accompany her to her office so they can talk.
Robert and Blanca talk about the wonderful day they had. It was one of the best days of her life. She is also happy he got to see Julieta. He wishes that she would have come back. Blanca says that Julieta has a lot of things on her mind but she is a good woman. They never should have badgered her so much. Imelda pops out of the apartment. She asks Blanca to go to Ana’s and see if things are okay. She has been calling her leaving messages and there has been no answer.
The whole Ana situation is still weighing heavily on Robert. He asks himself what he should do.
Julieta talks to a confused Daniela and gets her to make a choice between her two suitors. Julieta asks her which one could she see having a future with and the answer is Gabriel. He likes her. She likes him. Julieta says it will all turn out perfectly. Daniela is worried about being different. Julieta reminds her that Gabriel fell in love with her essence, her personality. Daniela knows she is clumsy when it comes to love. She needs somebody to help her out. Julieta volunteers to be her fairy godmother. She tells Daniela that the story has changed a bit for them. She is a little rougher and Gabriel a little more delicate. Daniela is the warrior princess and Gabriel is more like a "Cinderfella". Daniela has a fantasy where Gabriel is in a dress scrubbing floors. Julieta says that Gabriel needs to be rescued by the brave princess with her carpentry skills, for example. Daniela asks about the stepsisters. Julieta says the issue now is for Gabriel to know that Daniela liked the kiss and that she was not running away because of it. Julieta says they are both strange so they are going to make a great couple. Rather than verbally telling him she liked the kiss, Julieta wants Daniela to say it through a gift. Daniela hopes that Julieta is back with her brother soon.
They end up at a gift store with stuffed animals. Julieta manages to find a bear that says "I love you". It is highly appropriate because Gabriel calls Daniela "bear".
Benjamin calls Daniela because he wants to know what is what. She wants to meet tonight.
Julieta has to go and talk to Ana.She gets to her house and she tells her that she knows the whole story about what she did to Robert and the family. Blanca walks in and asks what did Ana do.

It was a wonderful reunion between Julieta and Blanca.
More later.
Linda is the new and not at all improved Corny. Inspired! Wonderful recap.
Last night made my spirits soar and gave great hope. Beautiful outfits, the dancing, the pageantry all blended together beautifully.
My absolute favorite scene was best described by "Daniela is the warrior princess and Gabriel is more like a "Cinderfella". While he has proven his merit as a serious actor in PyP, Jose is a naturally gifted comic. I laughed out loud with the dark wig, his dress and his flawless expression.
It was wonderful seeing Julieta smiling again, wasn't it? Joyously embracing Blanca, passing the bakery wares and hugging Robert proved the sun is starting to reemerge in her life.
Marisol looked lovely and I am so happy to see she has found one of her passions - selling. She will go far, I have no doubt but I see her by Xavi's side, his anchor, his rock.
Robert is clearly tormented by what he discovered about Ana. I am rather hoping Ana (who is likely on the precipice right now), reveals her dirty deed herself. She is cornered and she knows it.
"Linda tells Marisol that she is so happy that Julieta is not there with them". If only we'd not seen so much of Linda and Bruno.
On a far happier note, those kisses seemed to indicate Dani has chosen. Now all she needs to do is tell Beni and open her heart to Gabi.
Jarifa, you've made my day. Most excellent. Thank you!
Diana
I like Julieta being Daniela’s fairy godmother.
I wonder how long it will take for Ana’s crime to hit the proverbial fan. Will Robert tell if he becomes aware of his father’s advice to Julieta?
Steve, no, Linda is just a vapid, self-absorbed, condescending, bad mannered brat who cannot believe that the sun doesn’t rise just for her.
Diana, "Beautiful outfits, the dancing, the pageantry all blended together beautifully." ITA, it was so exciting to see all the festive costumes and activities.
Linda is truly turning into a pathetic character...not just because of her unrealistic hopes to get Bruno back (he is so cold to her!) but because of her continued spite for Julieta. What a selfish beyotch!
I enjoyed the Dani/Gabriel scenes..YAY they kissed again! but I could not believe that was the longest kiss he had ever had...it may have been the best, but the longest...really? The running was humorous, but when Julieta and Robert started running after Linda and Bruno, I thought it was going to be a little too much, but it was appropriately a short run.
Diana, "It was wonderful seeing Julieta smiling again, wasn't it? Joyously embracing Blanca, passing the bakery wares and hugging Robert proved the sun is starting to reemerge in her life." I do hope this is the beginning of her happy ending. I'm sure ther will be some bumps along the road, but at least Blanca and she seem to be heading toward a much better relationship.
Robert does look torn about what to do with his revelation...and it so obvious that he misses Julieta so much. I wish he had confided in her...maybe that would have sped up her return.
RGV--agree that Linda is pathetic. She jumps every time Bruno asks her to and then he is cold and rejects her. He is worse than she is. He acts like he has some moral high ground to stand on but he is lower in the gutter than she is.
Gabi and Dani were the best and so glad she has chosen. Is anyone else afraid that she accidentally gives the bear to Benji as a consolation gift, not knowing it says "te amo"?
Diana--Gabi in his cinderella dress was hysterical. I didn't like him in PyP. I think I saw him in another drama too and didn't care for him. He definitely has a gift for comedy. I love him in this.
It was nice seeing Blanca and Juli hug but I feel the whole reason they are able to be kind to each other is because they have had some distance. If Juli moves back in, Blanca and Imelda will be back on top of them, giving no space, being judgmental etc. Also, Rob hasn't really thought through any of it. He is giving Juli space to think but he has so much on his mind with Ana, that he hasn't thought about how to make things better for Juli and can he live with not having children?
I notice a few more names were added to the opening credits, Erik de Castillo is one of them so I guess we will be seeing more of Juli's papa.
I didn't like all the running around but I loved everything else. The costumes, food, dance and spectacle were so fun.
I'm glad that finally, the brother/sister situation has been revealed. In my opinion, that storyline has been weak and new knowledge will make for some more interesting dilemmas for our characters.
(I had a hard time watching this episode without thinking of the team of PAs trying to marshal the crowds around the actors, the bystanders were fun to watch)
thanks Rena
"Last night made my spirits soar and gave great hope. Beautiful outfits, the dancing, the pageantry all blended together beautifully.” Same here, Diana! It even made me want to book a flight to Mexico for a vacation. Maybe one day.
It was so nice to see Julieta and Robert together again. I miss them always being there to hold onto each other literally and metaphorically. Blanca and Julieta’s interactions make me think that they’re bound to have an awesome relationship in due time, however I feel like it will take longer with Imelda.
Rgv Chick: Gabriel did say in one of the first few episodes that love wasn’t meant for him. Maybe he never had a girlfriend for a long time enough to have a long kiss. I wish we knew more of his background. I do kind of love the idea of both of them being each other’s “longest best kiss”
I love seeing the whole family out at the festival. That was really cute, but also heartbreaking. Can you imagine all the festivals that Ana deprived them of? For me every beautiful moment that we see in the Corcega family is tinted with the darkness Ana left them with for 34 years.
I love the idea too that Julieta is Dani and Gabriel’s fairy godmother. She seems to really want them together. Rooting for the kiss and pushing them closer by daring to buy a teddy bear that says “I love you” Very clever, Juli! I also find it amusing that Julieta is pushing these two together knowing that it means Gabriel will probably be a part of the family. But rather him than another crazy stranger right? Haha I think it’s cute.
-Jackie
RgvChick, I am thinking that maybe Julieta just finding out about Ana’s abduction of Robert might hasten her return as she seems to be taking on the role of his protector and a warrior princess herself.
SpanProf,if Bruno and Linda end up together at least they will be off the market and potential partners will be safe from them.
Carvivlie, thanks for the info on Eric del Castillo from the credits. I will be happy to see him again.
Rena, like you I am glad that everyone finally knows who Linda and Bruno are.
Jackie, excellent point about all the festivals and joy the family had missed because of Ana’s abduction of Juan Pablo. It is so overwhelming thinking of the ramifications
I cannot wait for tonight’s episode!
Later, the whole family including Robert, are passing out samples of the bread.
Loved everybody giving out samples, Robert, Marisol, Julieta. The family was at their best last night.
Though he's a deadbeat dad, Ignacio still has a right to visit Frida. But that didn't stop me from cheering when Imelda and then Eugenio kicked his a** out. Loved Xavi being Marisol's defender.
Wah! I missed out on Gabriel as Cinderfella. Hope they replay that scene.
