Enamorandome De Ramon #86/87 12/12/17: Fabiola has no choice. Really?
Fabiola sees the results of the pregnancy test and realizes that Ramon
is the father of her baby because she is 3 weeks pregnant. Frank bursts into
her office and startles her so she throws the test in the trash can and he sees
it and realizes what it is and asks “why are you doing a pregnancy test?” he
gets it out of the trash can and sees she is 3 weeks pregnant, immediately
realizes this is another opportunity and begins playing the victim calls her a
prostitute and any other term he can think of to insult her. Fabi tells him to
stop insulting her and he tells her that here he is begging her to give him a
second chance and all along she has been cheating on him with Ramon. He grabs her
by the arm and yells at her, she begs him to stop. He tells her that this is
not going to end like this and leaves.
Esteban calls Juana to let her know that Andrea has called that she is
being arrested for selling fruit. Juana leaves immediately to go help her out.
Frank calls his buddy lets him know that Fabi wants to divorce him and
needs advice. He will meet him at a bar to share a beer.
Juana gets to the market place where Andrea and Jorge got in trouble,
Jorge has been taken to the Police station so they both head on over to go help
him.
Sofia sees her dad in prison, he asks her where has she been, she tells
him to stop faking he knows exactly where she has been because all he has done
is have his men hurt her and Ramon. Her dad tells her that he has not done that
and that he never knew where she was. He asks her “what happened?” she tells
him that she was kidnapped along with Ramon. He tells her that Ramon must be
involved in some shady business. And again he reassures her that he had nothing
to do with it.
Fabi is in her office trying to convince herself to tell Ramon about
the pregnancy. She decides to go tell him.
At that moment Ramon and Dalia leave the shop to go pick up a part and
Fabi sees them and assumes the worst. “He went with her” boohoo
At prison Sofia tries to convince her dad to help her get Ramon to
marry her, he chuckles because he doesn’t know what else to do at such a stupid
request. “Come on dad I never ask you for anything, please do this for me” he
says “how do you want me to do it, threaten him with a gun?” No, Sofia has a
better idea and starts sharing her idea with him which involves using his
contacts in prison.
At yet another prison Antonio goes to visit Roxy, she wants to know if he
has paid the bail amount yet. “uh no, I have already done enough” Roxy not
having a clue that Antonio is serious says “well you better be paying my bail, mortgage
the shop or your apartment”, Ant says “uh no” “well what do you want me to do?”
she cries to him and then he says “this is on you Roxy you can sell your apartment”
Roxy is shocked and wondering how he could ask her to do that,” you took my son and now
you want me to sell the last thing I own” “well yes, it is your fault you are
in this mess, so when you decide let me know because Maggie has to fill out the
paperwork” Roxy realizes she has no
choice and agrees to sell her apartment.
At the police station two officers take Jorge to the chief and tell him
that Jorge was selling oranges at the market without a permit. Jorge tells him
that it was just two baskets; the chief is shocked that the peace officers have
wasted his time over two baskets of orange. Juana and Andrea get there and
Juana starts complaining that this is not fair, and to let him go. The chief
goes over to her and he agrees to let Jorge go because as far as crimes go this
is pretty low on the totem pole.
Ozzie goes to Rulo’s locker and tries to open it finds it locked and
then gets a hammer to open it.
Andrea and Jorge thank Juana for helping them and she tells them that
she is going to help them out because she does not want them to get in trouble
for trying to get money. Just don’t tell anyone. They hug her and she is glad
to be able to do this for them.
Rulo is going loco because someone stole his merchandise. He knows it
was someone from the shop; he is worried that if Antonio finds out he will send
him to Jail. No worries Ozzie is here he tells Rulo he has the merchandise, but
they need to be careful because anyone can find out about their business, just
like he did.
Fabi goes to Lucho to see if her car is ready. It is not ready, so she
has to walk home.
Rulo, Ozzie and Chava go into business selling parts, Ozzie convinces
them that he has good rich contacts and they will do well with him in the
partnership.
Frank hands his buddy the letter that Ramon wrote to Fabi as evidence
of her infidelity, his buddy tells him this is a gold mine, Frank can even send
Fabi to jail for being an adulterer.
Luisa goes to see Finito, invites him to the movies. As they are
talking Adalgisa walks up and sees Luisa kiss Finito. Adalgisa turns around and
leaves with a broken heart. Adalgisa feels sorry for herself. She determines
that she just has to leave and go back to Indianapolis, because she does not
want to see Finito with Luisa anymore.
Julio goes to see Hortensia and she does not recognize him. He calls
doctor Paez and he says she will see her tomorrow. Rebecca assures the doctor
that she has been following his instructions; he does not understand what is
going on.
Ramon is in his bed feeling sorry for himself, Juana calls him. Juana
tells him that Julio got mad at her for helping Jorge and Andrea. Ramon then asks
why is Fabi getting a divorce, Juana does not know all she knows is that Fabi
just does not want to be with Frank anymore. Juana tells Ramon not to butt in.
Stay out of it. After they hang up, Ramon starts laughing because Fabiola is
getting divorced. Fabi is on her laptop looking at an ultrasound of the baby
and hopes that baby looks like Ramon.
Since Fabi was walking home, Frank sees her and grabs Fabiola by the
arm and throws her in the car, Frank tells her that he is taking her somewhere
where no one will bother them because he is tired of being made a fool off.
They get to a restaurant he pushes her down and tells her he wants to
talk He tells her that he will accuse her of adultery and that her child will
be born in prison and will have to stay there for a few years. So she better do
what he asks her to do, he wants money but also want to pay her back for the
humiliation she has made him go thru. She calls him a monster and he says but
you betrayed me. He tells her she is going to quit her job, pretend that they
made up and that they are going to have a baby. Fabiola has no choice; she
wants to protect her baby.
Fabi calls Maggie tells her to cancel the appointment with the judge
because she has made up with Frank, and there will no longer be a divorce.
Sofia meets with two thugs and
wants them to follow Ramon everywhere he goes she wants to know where he goes
what he does the thugs agree and tell her that they will shadow him and he will
not know it.
Porfirio gets a visit from his attorney, Esqueda, tells him that he wants
to do his will
Antonio gets to his office and goes to Fabiola’s he tells her he can’t
believe how immature she is because of her changing her mind. She tells Antonio
that she is quitting. Fabiola says it is all her idea and Francisco is not
pressuring her. (Blink 1 for yes, 2 for
no Fabi) Antonio tries to tell her she
is making a mistake but Fabi has no choice and tells him that she is leaving
now. Antonio leaves very disappointed in Fabi.
Fabiola goes to Juana’s to go pick up her things, there are no
explanations because we love each other, says frank to Juana. Juana is not
convinced and asks if she is being pressured by frank (blink 1 for yes, 2 for
no Fabi). Juana thinks he has brain washed Fabi. Frank gets away with his trick
and takes Fabi back with him. Juana tells Fabi to call her any time of day if
she needs anything.
Julio is struggling over Juana possibly giving the money to Andrea so
he calls Elias to try and sabotage the harvest because if it is successful Juana
will give Andrea all her money.
He meets Elias at a restaurant and asks him to help him make the
harvest fail
Tells Fabi he is going to the
clinic to work because he has to make money for her and their baby. Fabiola is
furious at him. He leaves and locks Fabi in the apartment.
Maggie finds out about Porfirio’s leukemia thru his attorney. Esqueda
assumed she knew about it.
Rebecca goes to ask Juana to find Luisa because she has a family
problem and she has to leave. Luisa is gone but Juana volunteers to go take
care of Hortensia.
Maggie goes to see Porfirio, in a very endearing scene Maggie says “I
am here with you and I will not leave you until you are free of this.” “How did
you find out?” “Thru attorney Esqueda” “I am your friend and I would have been
with you from the start.” “I will be here for a while, Thank you for being
here. “
Juana goes to see Hortensia, Hortensia
is kind to her and says she is glad the girls have a nanny like Juana, then she asks about her son Ricardo and
complains about Julio never coming and Maggie either but she is abroad so she
understands. Juana looks sad about Hortensia’s condition.
Adalgisa gets home after having had a good cry. Benito asks her “what
is wrong? Why do you want to go back to Indianapolis?” She says she is
depressed because she is in love with Finito. Benito doesn’t understand what do
these women see in Finito, Benito could care less. Adalgisa asks “How do you
forget the one you love?” “I don’t know how because I still love Luisa with all
my heart. I will never forget her.”
Maggie asks the doctor what is Porfirio’s prognosis. Doctor says that
he suffered a hemorrhage, an infection and the medication can be harmful. Tells
her that he does not know but that anything can happen with Porfirio.
Andrea goes to visit Fabiola and realizes that Frank locked her in the apartment. Andrea tells her
that Jorge is downstairs and she will go get a locksmith to open the door.
Fabiola is worried because she does not know what she will tell Andrea when she
comes back. (the truth, maybe just saying)

Very strange storyline indeed. What is the year this story is set in? Yes, according to law, adultery was a crime punishable by 2 years in prison (never enforced for Mexican men, who usually had a mistress and several children in a "second family" but used as a way to control married women.) However adultery was decriminalized in 2011. Don't know about Venezuela where this story was originally set.
I know we need lots of drama in the closing chapters but still...hard to swallow this particular storyline.
The only thing I'm enjoying right now is that Hortensia seems to be a more pleasant person. Hopefully this character change will last!

Alas, that is probably true Kirby. The one plus side of dementia is that people can forget all their previous grudges and resentments. If Hortensia can forget her husband ran off with the maid, she might be more cheerful and accepting. Let's hope!

Thank you so much, Sandie! This story is barely making any sense now, which would explain why things are finally happening and Sofia is turning into a lunatic. I can imagine viewers watching the edited version and wondering where the heck this adultery thing came.
Like JudyB, I found that adultery was illegal until 2011 so is this set in 2011? I know novelas push the envelope as far as logic (or lack thereof) constantly but saying something is illegal when it's not is pushing it, I think. I couldn't find anything about Venezuela adultery laws but I did read that the producer changed bits of the original story. So, if this is only in the Mexican version, how does this make sense? And another thing, no one would believe Fabiola about the rape because Francisco is her husband? Is this still a thing? The only thing that would make it difficult is the fact that she has showered a few times since the rape.

My, my the prison for adultery theme has caused much discussion! So I did a littel research. It seems that adultery is no longer a Federal crime (since 2011), but some states still consider it a crime. I know for sure that the state of Jalisco still considers it a crime, but not in the state of Mexico.
Judy, I agree about liking Hortensia more now...and I like the looks she gives to Rebeca...no words needed!

Fabi should have told Fraud what I used to say, " If you ever hurt me, I will call my father and the state police...not necessarily in that order. " That way, everyone is on the same page.It is good to make things clear from the start of a relationship.

The minute Francisco ordered her to make that coffee for him in Margarita's apartment a mere 30 minutes after the wedding I would've gone to get an annulment.

I emailed Diana earlier but have not heard back. I believe her day job precludes her doing a lot of daytime non-work related emailing, though.

As for Fraud (I love that!), I think we didn't see the honeymoon phase because they were two or three years into the relationship when the novela started. I assume the mask he wore was the same as the one he wore when he was wooing Fabiola again after her wedding dreams with Ramon imploded. He was nostalgic, thoughtful, caring, understanding and Fabiola fell for it, hook, line and sinker.
Before they broke up the first time, she was probably comfortable in the relationship and understood that he was a doctor so he had terrible hours. We all know what he was doing (or who) with that free time though. Whenever the real Fraud came out, that was when Fabiola finally broke up with him and fell for Ramon.

A couple of them asked her if Fran was threatening her, did they really expect her to say “yes” with him right next to her? Goodness these people are unbelievably unreal...oh wait, this is a TN...they are unreal :-)

I'm sure Diana would not mind my telling you this. Her husband has just had his second knee replacement surgery and has been sent home to recuperate so Diana is busy taking care of him. All wives need to have nursing training I've decided!
She is such a wonderful, supportive person so if any of you are the praying type, please include her and Peter in your prayers. This is a tough time for both of them.

Thanks AAA Even if you are not the religious type, prayer is also a way of sending loving thoughts--and as Susanlynn would say-- good vibes(((((((())))))))) and I do believe that it can help and it can be "felt". Knowing people care is half the battle. And we all know how beautifully Diana affirms every person on this blog, whether they be recappers or just commenters. She is amazing and has a bigger heart and soul than anyone I know.

One prime, one evil and one neutral, which stemmed from seeing her mother get murdered and growing up in a brothel, and she created her personalities from the dolls she had to cope.

Not that I condone it, but I know Mexico took it off the books by 2011, plus I don't think they have prosecuted anyone for that in many, many, years prior.

I thought that Sofia might turn evil! Now she wants her daddy to intervene for her to get Ramon. Crazy girl...I wouldn't want a guy that I would have to coerce and use force to stay with me. Who wants someone that you have to force to be with you? That's not love! I'd rather have (as in Princess Bride) "True Love."

Judyb....so true. I have "met" so many wonderful,kind, ingelligent, witty people here at Caray. Diana is, indeed, one of the most special. It is amazing how close you can become to folks you only know in cyberspace. I am sending out prayers and good vibrations for both Diana and her hubby))))))))))))).

OT: Susanlynn, yes I am watching Outlander. Right before season 3 began, I binge watched the previous seasons too. I was up till after midnight watching because I got so addicted. (Oh Jamie! Swoon!)

OT...Cynthia, have you read the book series?.....8 books and a ninth being written. I loved most of the episodes this season. they are already filming season 4..based on book 4 " DRums of AUtumn." Aye, Jamie..THe King of Men.

Susanlynn, no I have not read the books. I just found out about the series earlier this year when a friend from work who is reading the books told me about this series. I don't have a lot of time to do much leisurely reading, unfortunately.

Have passed on the message of prayers and concern RGV Chick and Susanlynn. And also all the loving and caring things everyone has said about Diana. I'm sure Kirby has too. I imagine that both Peter and Diana are exhausted, but hopefully in a couple of days she can be back in touch. We all miss her. She is something special.
