Mi marido tiene familia Monday 12/4/17 Capítulo 72: Wedding Festivities and the Madness of Guilt

On with the wedding and a whoospie on my part. I fell asleep and the VCR was set to the wrong channel so I missed the wedding ceremony itself. Feel free to fill in any of the ceremony details in your comments.

My coverage starts tonight with Tulio having pursued an almost catatonic Ana to a park bench. He takes off his suit jacket and put it around her. Tulio talks about the rage that he feels towards his mother and towards everyone else that made his life so bad. They are the ones who are responsible for Ana being like she is living in the terror that one day she will become lost in her own thoughts. He draws her to him as she just stares straight ahead, smooths her hair and kisses her cheek.

Back at the wedding, Julieta and Robert are kissing at the reception. Of course, they show us all of the wonderful food that is being served. Luz is raving about the food. Polita says that Bequita made the food and she is the best cook in Oaxaca. Julieta tells Amalia and Blanca that she does not know how to thank them for what they did for her and Robert. imelda says they just have to enjoy the wedding. Eugenio calls Imelda and Blanca over to him. Xavi makes an announcement about it being his turn to give his gift to the bride and groom. He sings their love theme “Llegaste a mi vida” (You Arrived in My Life). Robert and Julieta dance. Julieta asks if Robert can believe all this and that it is happening to them who didn’t believe in marriage. Robert tells her that even if they would have never married, he would have been with her the rest of his life. She finally says she loves him. He accuses her of loving to torture him. They continue with the sweet nothings as they dance And kiss. The guests cheer. Xavi sings.

Tulio has Ana up and walking in the park. His arm is around her and he is telling her that he loves her and nobody else. The best thing is to just keep quiet. Ana finally speaks and says that she and Tulio do not deserve to be happy. Tulio disagrees and says she has to trust him.

Robert dances with his mother. Blanca says it was always her dream to dance with him at his wedding. She still wishes all of Oaxaca were there and she starts harping about Robert and Julieta going to the church to make sure the marriage is valid. He promises but first he wants them to focus on having a good time. At the same time, Julieta is dancing with her father. He asks if she is still resentful about him having left the family. Julieta says it would be worthless for her to be thinking about that all of the time. Furthermore, somebody had to head up the family(referring to herself). He agrees that they all ended up in the best hands. Now it is time for Eugenio to dance with Julieta and Robert with Catalina. Eugenio wishes Julieta much happiness adding that he thinks that his son found the perfect woman. Julieta is not too sure about that but Eugenio is. Catalina asks Robert what he does to be able to put up with Julieta every day. He says that he and Julieta understand each other very well. He switches the topic and asks her if she is liking the wedding. She is just loving it, loving it! It is modern just like they are. He tells her there is still is going to be a surprise. She wants the scoop. Robert suggests that they just enjoy the party. Catalina looks heavenward and asks that the stars protect her. Robert adds that they also make her dance well. She just laughs. Everyone is dancing and Bruno is playing deejay.

Gabriel and Daniela have fun with mezcal. He tells her that there is a saying that it is one’s duty to drink at parties. She tells him there are no sayings like that. He is all for less talk and more kisses. As they sip the mezcal, they ask what they are talking about: drinking mezcal or kissing? It seems that the technique is the same. The teasing and drinking continues.

Tulio has brought Ana back home. He is sitting next to her with his arm around her. He asks her if she does not think that they have suffered enough. She tells him he does not have to go on taking care of her. If he is worried about her escaping, she won’t do it again. He says if they say anything, it will be the end of them. Ana looks at him and tells him that is what she wants. She needs the pain to end. He kisses her and holds her tighter.

Daniela and Julieta are in the bride’s dressing room chatting while Julieta changes into her tennis shoes. Daniela thanks Julieta because if it weren’t for her, she and Gabriel would not be together. Daniela tells her he is her first boyfriend and it was her first kiss with him. Julieta wants to know how she feels. Is she happy beyond the Mezcal she had? Daniela is excited. Next, she tells Julieta that she loves her, admires her and is very proud to call her her sister-in-law. Julieta wants her to know that they are a lovely family. It is a little hard to understand them but she is getting used to them a little more every day. Daniela tells her that if Juan Pablo ever tries to put one over on her to just let her know. She studied karate and gives Julieta a demonstration. Julieta suggests they get back to the party. Daniela wants to to give her a hug first. Daniela wishes her a lot of happiness.

Xavi announces that Robert and Julieta have a surprise for all of their guests. Imelda immediately sees the tennis shoes. Blanca fills her in on them being in style. Robert is all nervous and hopes they won’t be sorry. Julieta tells him that if they forget something, they will just make something up. He and Julieta perform a dance routine to the theme song of the novela. Soon everyone is on the dance floor just dancing away. Linda takes advantage of the situation and conveniently steps on one of Julieta’s white tennis shoes (because she can) as Julieta is having fun and is off guard. Julieta just stares at her. Linda gives Julieta a smirk as she goes dancing away.

Later that evening, Daniela and Gabriel are still flirting, talking about kissing and drinking more mezcal. Polita comes over to Daniela. Julieta is ready to throw her bouquet. Julieta throws it so high and far that Frida who is beyond the group catches it. Linda throws a fit. Linda and then Amalia want Frida to hand the bouquet over. Frida runs over to Daniela and, much to Gabriel’s delight and to Linda’s disappointment, she hands it to Daniela saying she thinks that Daniela needs it more than she does.

Everyone is dancing again. Frida finds Marisol and Xavi dancing at arms length. She tells them they make a cute couple and then she pushes them together before she runs off. Catalina gives Bruno the third degree as he is trying to play deejay. She wants to know if he has a girlfriend. He would prefer not to talk about that right now. Julieta has a final surprise that she prepared with her father-in-law. Out comess the wedding cake decorated in a very unique way. On the cake itself are modeled figures of every member of the family (except for Ana and Tulio). Almost everyone loves it. Amalia says it looks just like her except she is sweeter and tastier. Linda complains about how horrible her figure looks, Julieta does not know how that would have happened. Blanca says it must have melted on the way over. Julieta tells her not to worry and offers to fix it. She takes a knife and cuts Linda’s figure’s head in half and then asks if anyone wants cake. Linda leaves in a huff.

Catalina and Julieta chat. She is moaning about her father having a figure on the cake. Julieta advises her that she cannot be at war with everyone. Catalina tells her to follow her own advice and not cut her sister-in-law in half. Catalina is worried about a VooDoo effect. Julieta assure her she wasn’t doing witchcraft or the evil eye thing. Talking about eyes, Catalina has noticed some glances going on between Bruno and Linda.. .

Bruno takes Linda to the bride’s dressing room for a little kissy face time. Linda is not too eager because she is tired of having to hide their relationship. She wants them to make an announcement that they are novios. Bruno does not see that as a possibility because Julieta would go crazy. Linda is not going to give him one more kiss until he swears that he will give her her rightful place. He tells her to wait a little while longer and he will make their relationship official. That is all she has to hear and the make-out session is on. Because of their kissing, Julieta’s perfume bottle gets knocked to the floor and is broken.

Out at the party, Belén tells Eugenio that they are playing the Strauss waltz “Tales From Vienna Woods”. Eugenio and Blanca haven’t danced to that song since their wedding. They waltz to it and Eugenio takes the dance as an opportunity to tell Blanca he wants to dedicate the rest of his time on earth to taking care of her and protecting her from any sorrow. Blanca gives him a kiss. They keep dancing to one waltz after another as the crowd applauds. Blanca is wondering about him being so loving. Will he promise her that everything is all right? He promises her that everything is just fine. He is thinking back on all of the lost years and he is sorry that he did not tell her everyday that he loves her. He loves her more than anything. Blanca smiles and the crowd cheers for them to kiss.

Gabriel tells Daniela a little more about his past. When his mother died, Gabriel wasn’t doing well at all. He and his sisters turned into an obsession for his father. They had to be the best, number one. Daniela thanks him for confiding in her and tells him that she is always there for him if he wants to talk. She is good at repairing furniture maybe they can smooth the rough edges off his heart. He tells her she could be a poet but it he finds her more sexy being a carpenter. He thinks her workshop will be incredible and he is proud of her. He admires her a lot. She thanks him. Gabriel has an idea. They should go on a trip. She cannot see that working with her parents. He wants to go to Mexico City. He wants to ask her parents for their permission. He’s her boss. The vacation would be paid for. She will have to think about it. Better she not think about it because he knows how to convince her. He picks her up and starts twirling her around. She just giggles and finally says yes.

Julieta goes looking for Bruno. She finds the door to the bride’s dressing room locked and knocks on the door asking if Bruno is there. Bruno hides Linda in a chest and when Julieta unlocks the door, he pretends to be listening to some music as he is perched on top of the chest. Julieta wonders why her perfume bottle is broken and why Bruno is all sweaty. He says it is all due to his father. He cried. He tells the tale of his father leaving and how upset he was/is, blah blah blah, Julieta knows it is all a lie, lie lie. Julieta asks about Linda and says that she must be hidden somewhere in there. Bruno plays stupid and has no idea where Linda is. Suspecting Linda is in the chest, Julieta keeps kicking it as she sits next to her brother. She also warns Bruno that Linda is a rather strange girl so she is not allowing him to be friends with her. Bruno asks if they are not getting along better. Yes they are and for that reason she does not want to see him make bad decisions. She orders him back to the party. She also reminds him of his tutorials with Aristóteles. As for his plans, those will have to wait. He leaves and Julieta gives the chest one last kick for good measure. After she leaves, Linda crawls out of the chest.

At home, Julieta and Robert are in bed in matching pajamas. His say “she is my wife” with a hand pointing at her and her says “he is my husband” with a hand pointing at him. They cannot believe that both of their families were together. Tomorrow morning, Robert wants to fulfill the coupon he gave to Daniela and have breakfast with her. They then think of the coupon that Ana got that was supposed to forgive her for anything she had done. Julieta asks Robert if he will be able to forgive Ana some day. He does not know. Robert is also going to the bank tomorrow to see about getting a loan. The evening changes course when they realize it is their wedding night.

The next morning, Daniela, Frida and Marisol are washing the dishes from the reception and Linda is doing nothing as usual but watching. Frida makes the comment that by everyone working together the work goes faster. Linda is put out that that was intended for her. Linda is going shopping and she starts to leave. Frida tells her it is not fair that she does not help out. She is really lazy. Marisol tells Frida not to start anything. Linda runs into Bruno in the hall. He doesn’t understand why she is angry with him. It was no big deal. Well, she doesn’t feel the same way. He wants a quick kiss. No kiss for him. Julieta steps out into the hall and asks if there is a problem. Linda calls her a pain and asks if she now needs permission to talk to the neighbors. Julieta says that the answer is “yes” to that because this neighbor is her brother. Linda says that it is not Julieta’s fault she is in a bad mood. Julieta guides Bruno out of the apartment building. Linda goes back home telling Marisol and Frida how she cannot stand Julieta. She hates her. Frida reminds her that she did say she was going shopping. . . and concludes that Linda is not just lazy but is a liar, too.

Audifaz talks with Tulio about the Ana situation. He must undestand what Imelda and Eugenio are feeling. Tulio states that everyone judged Ana. What they did was not very wise. Blanca showed off her son and her new pregancy. When Ana was pregnant with her last baby, Eugenio said that his son was the only heir to their surname. Audifaz understands all of that and they were happy. He also does not think it is right that Tulio and Ana are hiding the person responsible for the abduction from Blanca.

Daniela has a chat with Robert over breakfast. For years Daniela didn’t think that she had the right to be happy. Now she just wants to enjoy life. Robert asks about Gabriel’s family. He offers to talk to them. Daniela says she can take care of herself. She cannot deny that they see her as “less than” what they would want for Gabriel. The fact of the matter is that she and Gabriel love each other. Robert smiles. Daniela reminds him of Julieta and he admires them both in the same ways. Daniela says it is hard being different. Robert sees that she has never allowed herself to be defeated and she wont’t be defeated now. He tells her to never let anyone make her feel less than she is because she is different. She asks what to do about Gabriel. Robert says if he is going to fight for her then she should join him in that fight. She tells him about the invitation to Mexico City. Robert is at a loss for words . . . at the moment . . .

At the Córcega apartment, Gabriel asks Daniela’s family for permission to take Daniela on a vacation to Mexico City and Eugenio goes beserk: they are not married. Blanca does not know where they would stay, eat, it is dangerous out there, etc. Daniela says she can take care of herself.Blanca thinks that Daniela does deserve to be happy: chaste and pure but happy. Robert becomes the voice of reason in the chaos and manages the situaion until Daniela has permission to go.

Later, Blanca has gone to Ana’s to take care of her. Ana is asleep. Blanca asks Tulio why he didn’t call them to let them know about Ana. Tulio says there are a lot of things she doesn’t know. They move to the living room where he tells Blanca that Ana suffered another breakdown because of the family’s rejection. Blanca says they all are upset because of the money he is making them pay. Tulio tells her it isn’t only because of that. He is going to tell her because Ana’s salvation depends on Blanca and Blanca forgiving her. Tulio reminds her of all of those years where everybody blamed her for losing her son. It did not happen that way. Somebody could have returned Juan Pablo when he got loose in the market but that did not happen. Blanca says that Juan Pablo said that a woman brought him to an orphanage. Tulio says yes, it was a woman who wanted to get even with life for all of the sorrow she was feeling. It was Ana who abandoned her son.

Jarifa: MIC DROP BABY!

Ana abandoned her kid ? WOW!!!!

Perfect title Jarifa!

"They waltz to it and Eugenio takes the dance as an opportunity to tell Blanca he wants to dedicate the rest of his time on earth to taking care of her and protecting her from any sorrow" was beautiful and indicative of the lovely way you captured everything.

"She is good at repairing furniture maybe they can smooth the rough edges off his heart". Such high hopes for Dani and Gabi! Is there no way to bring his stern father on board?

"Tulio having pursued an almost catatonic Ana to a park bench". My heart was not moved.

"Linda takes advantage of the situation and conveniently steps on one of Julieta’s white tennis shoes (because she can)" had me laughing away.

Loved the beautiful, touching ceremony which reflected Julieta and Robert’s true, enduring love. The Setting, joyousness and dancing were wonderful. But the best part? Thee cake figurines!! “She takes a knife and cuts Linda’s figure’s head in half and then asks if anyone wants cake” had me gasping in surprise. Touché Julieta!

“Julieta asks Robert if he will be able to forgive Ana some day. He does not know”. But, I believe we do…I have no doubt. God bless him. He is a far better person than I.

That said, I fear for Blanca. Her heart will be torn up at the root. If she can survive the shock and the pain, I hope she will realize that those who knew kept quiet only to protect her. There are silences that are deafening in their cruelty when exposed to air. Some that should definitely be left buried to never see the light of day. We will see which this one becomes.

Jarifa, wonderful!! Thank you, thank you.

Diana

Steve, Ana did not abandon her child. She has no children. She is the one who left Robert at the orphanage.

Diana

Thank you, Diana. I have to say again: what an episode! I hope to see the ceremony when the episode is posted OnDemand. Hopefully that will be sooner rather than later.

I think the scene with Julieta cutting the Linda figure’s head in two was my favorite of the night. Linda was such a sneak stepping on Julieta’s new white shoes it reminded me of a kid. . It didn’t take much for her to make up with Bruno. I am happy Julieta has guessed what is going on..

Although Frida is getting bratty, I am loving what she has to say to Linda, that scene with the bouquet was great, and then her pushing Marisol amd Xavi together.

I felt so sorry for Blanca. She has suffered so much at Ana’s hands already.

Thank you Jarifa

With the silly slapstick, overt regional advertising and music promotion I never imagined I would like a TN like this... I love it!

I appreciate all the characters who have depth and also offer surprises. Cat and Tulio are the few misses for me. I like Linda and Gabriel's sisters, not saying I could live with them...I do hope the Coopers come into the story, I think they could be a combination of the Corcecas (sp?) and the Musis loving and rich - lots of potential conflict ...

The wedding was beautiful and so much fun.

I am relieved that Blanca finally knows. I guess some secrets don't need to be revealed but Ana not being around made no sense to Blanca. I imagine she could start to feel guilty that somehow it was her fault

I like that Frida has some grit to her, after feeling abandoned I am glad that she hasn't seemed to turn her feelings inward but is becoming a little feisty. Daniela took the latter route.

Thanks again
Rena

Wonderful Jarifa!

My fav scene was Juli cutting Linda's head too! Awesome

So we got a little more info on Tulio's hate. He told Audi that Eugenio threw out that JP would be the only one with the family name. I can see why those sort of in your face comments when one is going through multiple miscarriages can hurt deeply. It backs up the sisters' comments that JP was the favorite and doted on. Between Imelda, Eugenio and Blanca (pregnant with a 3rd and happy), sounds like not a lot of care or concern was given to how it all made Ana and Tulio feel. I'm not saying what Ana and Tulio did has any justification but I can see how the pain and hurt by the family cut deep.

I'm on my own little patio to say that Ana has suffered enough. I know I know but the woman has been in a jail of guilt, depression, and sickness for 34 years. She would have spent probably at most 7years if she had gone to jail.

Last night Tulio did his first unselfish act. He did what he didn't want to do, for Ana. He told Blanca the truth. Of course, he did it knowing the pain it would cause Blanca--which he probably doesn't care about as long as Ana gets some relief. I think it was inevitable the Blanca would find out the truth. That it has happened right after such a wonderful event involving her son may lighten the pain she would otherwise feel. I also think it will lift a weight off of her that she was partly to blame for JP's disappearance. We shall see how it all goes down tonight.

I was shocked at how open Blanca was to Dani and Gabi going on a trip together. After she went after Dani for giving Gabi tea in their house without supervision, now she's like "take my daughter, just don't touch her"!

Glad Dani and Rob had a good talk about Gabi. Dani knows he has her back.

Also, interesting that Belen didn't bring Aurelio to the ceremony. That quasi-relationship is on its last legs.

Rena, as so many people now know the secret, it did seem inevitable that Blanca would find out. What I can't figure out is the source. Is it going to be even more painful coming from Tulio? I guess we will find out.

Carvivlie, your comments were very thoughtful and it is clear you have a very forgiving heart.

I have to say that "That quasi-relationship is on its last legs" made me giggle (something I haven't done for quite a few years). Thank you!

Diana

yes! Carvivlie. happy to not see the "ice cream man"....

Tulio needs Blanca to forgive Ana so I think he will tread carefully with her tonight.

Thanks Diana for your comment. I'm not always forgiving but I guess Ana's infertility hits close to home. Also, why Tulio hasn't gotten her some psychological help is beyond me. The both of them desperately need a psychiatrist and Ana needs to be on medication.

Thank you for the excellent recap,Jarifa, even without the ceremony, which I too will try to catch online. I appreciate the recap all the more because I was at a meeting and missed all but the last 10 minutes or so. Frida is a wise little girl!

Thanks, Jarifa. Great job.

Blanca showed off her son and her new pregnancy. When Ana was pregnant with her last baby, Eugenio said that his son was the only heir to their surname.

That is how Tulio tells it, but I don’t believe Blanca “showed off” or Eugenio bragged about his son being the heir. Eugenio, before he found out the truth, was considerate of Tulio’s situation and understand of him keeping his distance. And what was Blanca to do when she got pregnant again? Hide it? Pretend she didn’t want it? Please. Tulio has also claimed Eugenio “hated” Blanca all those years for losing their baby. Yes, Eugenio (and Imelda) were wrong to feel Blanca should’ve been able to hang onto Juan Pablo despite her labor pains, but this never ever became “hate.” Tulio is a hateful man and projects his feelings on others.

About the early part of the wedding, Julieta and Robert kept trying to kiss each other –- before the vows -- as they stood before the priest and everybody recounting their love story. They drove Blanca, Imelda, and Eugenio nuts, shouting at them not to break protocol (and bring on bad luck) by kissing beforehand!

Out comes the wedding cake decorated in a very unique way. On the cake itself are modeled figures of every member of the family (except for Ana and Tulio).

That cake with all the heads was scary to me. But I would love to see it again to figure out who’s who. ITA Julieta cutting Linda in half was excellent!

Daniela’s got her own style and deserves to be respected. But I would love to see her in something festive, something other than solid colors.

Jarifa, thank you for a great recap! It was a great wedding with a million things going on, great fun!

Blanca should be happy as all get out, she has JP/Robert again; danced at his wedding to a Blanca's new buddy and driving teacher, Julieta; and even old, gruff Eugenio is getting sentimental and kissy kissy. What a great wedding!

I did feel a bit bad for Belén, she looked very sad at one point in the middle of all the happiness. I guess the ice cream man didn't work out. Well, maybe she can move on now.

I did think that Gabriel was pushing things wanting to take Dani to Mexico City.

Wow, just too much in this chapter, more later.

Niecie,

Agree Dani's outfit was awful. I was really hoping she would wear something more festive. She hides behind her clothes.

Tulio was telling the truth from his perspective. The fact that Audi didn't disagree leaves me to think it may have been true. It's 34 years later, everyone has changed and mellowed. I'm sure Eugenio didn't mean to cause such pain for Tulio and Ana, but if he said what he did, he wasn't exactly being an empathetic brother. Blanca isn't a saint. We know that from her treatment of Julieta. She can say some mean things and be quite sharp with her opinions. I doubt she meant harm and her joy at a third, like Eugenio, could have just been not considerate of the feelings of those around her. Mix Imelda's pressure and sharp comments into the mix and Tulio and Ana must have been miserable. No justification for what they did or the years since. Tulio has held onto that hate for a long time. It is as if he let go of it, he would have nothing left--no one to blame but himself for the years of misery. And it is his fault.

Niecie, you just reminded me that I wanted to say something about what Dani wore. In one sense it was a shame she didn't wear a nice dress, but on the other hand it would have been something of a slap in the face to Gabriel after what she wore to his sisters' so, so formal social event.

So much going on in this TN, I love it!

I agree with the comments about fashion, or in Dani's case, a bit of a lack thereof.

Andy thank you for bringing up Belén. I thought but neglected to say earlier that she looked absolutely stunning. There was someone else (for the life of me I can't remember who) who also looked beautiful.

I am hoping there is a Pygmalion transformation coming that will sweep Gabi off his feet and keep the wicked sisters quiet for years to come.

Diana

I'm hoping that as Dani grows confident in her relationship with Gabi, that she will feel that she doesn't need to hide behind her clothes. I don't see her ever being like Linda. I don't see a lot of dresses in her future but she could wear less baggy clothes. Not tight and skanky but like Juli.

Diana, I just loved Diana's dress! Did you notice her?

Woo hoo! I just wanted to get some of the names of the cast straight (actor/role), and came across a picture of Dani, Laura Vignatti, in girly clothes. Hot stuff! :-)

Seriously, she is nice looking all the time, but when she smiles she is beautiful.

Andy, yes, Laura is beautiful even without the girly clothes and make-up...I barely recognized her in long blonde hair!

RGV, I saw Diana's dress and it was beautiful. She looked great. What I didn't understand was why she was in the middle for the bouquet toss?

You are welcome and thanks Rena, Carvivlie, SpanProf, Niecie, Angie, Steve and RgvChick for stopping on by the patio.

Again kudos to the writers for creating really well developed characters.

Laura Vignatti played a real looker and bad girl in “Sueño de amor”.

I'm thinking about Mi Marido way too much. I googled to see how far Mexico City is from Oaxaca. According to Google, it's almost a 6-hour drive. So I presume Gabriel and Daniela will fly. So Gabriel is springing for airfare and two hotel rooms? It's a good thing Dani's coworkers like the two of them.

LOL Niecie. Danilo can probably do without Gabi but will definitely miss Dani. I wonder how long they plan to vacation? A few days? I'm interested to see if the 2nd room is used!

Carvivlie, I'm not sure why Diana joined the bouquet group, but Luz was there too and she is supposed to be married too. Maybe they only had civil ceremonies and are hoping for a religious ones?

Jarifa – Thank you for Friday’s recap and Monday’s, too! And thank you for the title of the Strauss waltz. I recognized it, knew it was Strauss, but was at a loss for which work it was.

In Friday’s episode, Imelda was a hoot the next morning, scarfing down the spiked jello while everyone was still asleep.

Catalina dancing with her Ex-husband? CatDQ must have been wearing her telenovela beanie hat at the wedding!!!

Catatonic Ana walking thru the park looked like something from the Zombie Apocalypse.

These last two episodes have been just wonderful! (and does this mean there won't be a boda at the El Fin?)

Niecie in MD – you’re right, those heads on the wedding cake were so creepy!

Rgv Chick – Yes, Diana’s dress was beautiful and the prettiest one in the wedding party.

This comment has been removed by the author.

Rgv - the priest performed the wedding ceremony, altar and all, so I thought that was the religious one? Maybe Blanca would feel better if it was all done inside a church building?

Thanks, doris. I had to go on line and listen to Strauss to determine which waltz it was. I was raised on Strauss but never knew which was which. What more did Catalina want? Maybe it was the “church”as you said with a high mass to go along with it. Ana just like a part of the “zombie apocalypse” says it all. As usual, I cannot wait until tonight. : )

Doris, I wouldn't worry too much that the weddings are finished. Maybe we won't have that big blowout wedding that often closes out a telenovela, but if they decide they want to they can marry off Dani and "Gabu", or Xavi and Marisol, or even, well, maybe, Linda and Bruno. That one's a stretch though.

Doris, I was referring to Diana and Luz who participated in the bouquet throwing. We were wondering why they participated since they are already married. My thought was that maybe Luz's and Diana's marriages are through civil ceremony. and they are hoping for a religious ceremony by catching the bouquet.

In regards to Robert and Julieta's ceremony, that was a priest, but I think he only gave him a blessing. The Catholic church will not recognize a marriage until the couple meets all the requirements including taking premarital classes. Since Robert and Julieta prepared their wedding within a week, they certainly didn't have time to take the classes.

Yikes, it should have been “what more dod BLANCA want ?” It is clearly time for dinner.

Thanks, RgvChick, for setting us straight on the requirements of the Catholic Church: the pre-Cana classes. It will be interesting to see if Robert and Julieta will go through with those.

Rgv Chick - yes, the pre-Cana and three weeks of the banns posted, although that might have been done the first time the wedding was planned.
