[Previously: Everyone is toasting Julio and Juana when two cops come in to
arrest Antonio for drug trafficking.] Antonio quickly stands up insisting that
they are making a mistake; and Marg asks to see the warrant. After reviewing
it, Marg gives Antonio a “you’re S-O-L” look; so the cops cuff him as Antonio
asks where they could have gotten such an idea. The arresting cop explains how
they received an anonymous tip; and when they went to conduct a search at his
business, they found a large amount of drugs. Diego cries and holds on to
Antonio as Juana grabs Diego and Fabi shouts that they will have to take her
too, since she is part owner of the shop. After Antonio tells Fabi not to worry
because this is his problem, the cops take him away.
At Rulo’s place, Rulo zips up a bag quickly as Chava
worries that Oozie has not arrived yet. Once Oozie arrives, Oozie asks Chava if
he talked to his relative and if the place is secure. After Chava assures him
that the place is at least out in the boonies and they will never be found there, they all leave together.
As he drives along Francystco thinks they won’t get out
of this one. He wishes he could see Fabi’s and the imbecile’s faces. He then
slowly passes in front of Antonio’s shop and sees that the patrol vehicles are
still there.
As the Three Amigos escape, Oozie thinks that they have probably already arrested Antonio; and while the cops
conduct their interrogation, they will have time to hide. Rulo is worried, not
only about the cops, but also that Palomo will put a price on their heads when
he finds out since he will lose millions from the drugs they had stashed. When
Chava panics and shouts that they are dead men, Oozie tells him to calm down
because they have no way of finding them. The important thing now is to get to
Chava’s relative’s place. Afterwards, they will figure out what to do next.
Just then Dalia calls Rulo, but Oozie tells him to not
dare answer. They can’t make contact with anyone they know. Rulo then wonders
who the he** turned them in; someone had to have blown their horn. Chava thinks
it had to be someone that works at the shop. Oozie agrees, but wonders who…and
how they found out they had the drugs since they were very cautious.
In her bedroom, Dalia complains that Rulo doesn’t answer.
She wonders if something has happened to him.
While reposing, Porfirio gets the call from Marg telling
him that Antonio was arrested because drugs were found in his shop. Porfirio
can’t believe it; Antonio is incapable of doing something like that…someone
must have placed it there. Marg agrees and tells him they all think that, but
until they can prove that, Antonio will remain detained. When Marg tells him
they are on their way to the detention center and asks Porfirio if he can meet
them there so he can help her, Porfirio quickly agrees. Porfirio, looking
tired, gets up sighing deeply and leaves.
At Rulo’s house, Dalia bangs on the gate. As she starts
to call Rulo, a man approaches her from behind and scares the heck out of her
when he barks that if she is looking for Rulo, he left with two of his buddies;
he thinks they were going on a trip because they took luggage. Dalia thanks him
and walks away as the man gawks at her. Dalia is upset that Rulo did it to her
again.
At Benito’s house, Benito comes out into the living room
looking depressed. When Fredes asks him where he is going, he sighs and replies
that he is going out for a walk. After he leaves, Fredes complains that this is
too much; Benito isn’t even a shadow of what he used to be. All he does is pass
his time writing in his room. After Ada tells her that it’s just Benito’s way
of venting, Fredes won’t stand not knowing what he writes about. Ada advises
her not to go snooping, but Fredes insists since she is his mother and this is
her house. As she goes to Benito’s room, Ada quickly follows with her swinging
hips. Once in Benito’s room, Fredes looks through the drawers as Ada warns
Fredes that what she is doing is wrong. Fredes points out that what “they” are doing is wrong because Ada will be just as guilty. After Ada
tells her she doesn’t want to get involved, Fredes opens the night stand
drawer, where she finds enough pages to make a book; so they both sit on the
bed as Fredes starts reading, “Little monkey, I am here again sighing
because of your absence, listening to the cries of my heart, that day after day
dries up or is lodged and wanders without direction or life. You don’t how much
I want to turn back time to show you that you are, and will always be, the love
of my life…the only woman that has made me quiver… who has made me feel true
love… Ada sighs deeply as Fredes continues to read.
(Recapper pauses to open another box of Kleenex...)
At the detention center, the cop tells Antonio that the
drugs were found in one of the lockers at his shop, but Antonio has no idea how
it got there. The cop thinks it’s unbelievable that, it being his shop, Antonio
wouldn’t know what’s going on in there (Ahem...clears throat). Antonio responds that it may be unbelievable, but
that’s the way it is. The cop then wonders why Antonio admitted wrongdoing, but
Antonio argues that he would never do that. When the cop reminds him that he
told the lady who was also owner that this was his problem, Antonio clarifies
that he only meant that he was going to resolve it. Antonio adds that it seems
the cop is trying to make him look guilty however he can; so he will not say
anymore until his attorney arrives. The cop relents since that is Antonio’s
right, but he reminds Antonio that, with or without an attorney, Antonio has a
serious problem.
Marg and Porfirio arrive at the detention center along
with Julio and Ramón. When they present themselves, the officer tells them that
Antonio is in the interrogation area and directs them to it. Ramón wants to
follow but Marg tells him he and Julio need to wait there; they will give them
an update in a while. Julio chides Antonio for getting into drugs, but Ramón
retorts that someone got him into it…Antonio has nothing to do with this. Julio
criticizes that Antonio must have been very careless to have a band of narcos
at his business (Ahem...clears throat again). Meanwhile,
Marg and Porfirio enter the interrogation room and present themselves. After
Antonio tells them that he has refused to talk until they arrived since the
agent is doing everything possible to implicate him, the agent points out that
the drugs were found at his business so that implicates him whether he likes it
or not. When he adds that Antonio admitted that this was his problem, Marg
questions Antonio who explains that he said it to Fabi so she wouldn’t be
incriminated, but the agent insists on misinterpreting what he said. Marg
declares that she was present and Antonio was only protecting his niece.
Porfirio states that whatever it was, a comment such as that is not enough to
prove that Antonio is implicated; he adds that the agent is making assumptions
that are not his responsibility to make. After Porfirio demands that the
investigation be initiated and that all the employees be required to make
statements; he adds that Antonio will plead not guilty…and that he is not
knowledgeable about all the events that occurred at his business.
At Juana’s, Andrea urges Diego to play with Jorge, but
Diego refuses. Just then, Luisa calls to get an update, but Juana hasn’t heard
anything yet…they’re just waiting for things to get cleared up so Antonio can
be released. After Juana hangs up, Diego asks how long his father will be with
the cops, so Juana replies that they don’t know, but his father will be
released sooner or later since he didn’t do anything bad. Fabi adds that Marg
and Porfirio are with Antonio and they will not allow anything bad to happen to
him.
At Benito’s house, Fredes finishes reading Benito’s
letter. Ada never imagined that Benito could write such lovely things. Fredes
remarks that Benito takes after his father who was a true poet (and smart too, apparently,
from his total absence here). When Ada asks
Fredes if she now realizes how much Benito loves Luisa, Fredes admits she
does…but he’ll soon get over it; with time he will accept it. Ada wonders if it
doesn’t hurt Fredes to see that Benito is suffering. Fredes assures her that it
does hurt her, but Benito will find a way to forget…because Fredes can’t count
on Ada. When Fredes brings up that she had so many hopes for Ada and Benito
being together, Ada reminds her that she has already told her that she loves
Benito very much, but not the way Fredes wants. Fredes gets fed up and tells
Ada she will end up dressing saints as she returns the letters to the drawer.
At the police station, Marg and Porfirio give Ramón and
Julio the update. When Marg states that she will call Fabi. Ramón wants to go get
Fabi instead, but Marg suggests that he stay
so he can be ready to give his statement; Jorge can bring Fabi to give her
statement. Porfirio accompanies Ramón to go give his statement; and Julio
dismisses himself since he has nothing more to do there (Ha! Not yet!). Marg then calls Fabi to come give her statement.
At Dalia’s house, Valente enters and is surprised to see
Dalia there. When Dalia cries and tells him Rulo left her waiting…and he left town, Valente questions her; so Dalia explains that
she had all her things ready. Rulo told her he was going to get a car, but he
never arrived. She recounts how she went to look for him, but a man told her
Rulo left with two friends and they had luggage. Valente comments that he isn’t
trying to be mean, but they all told her Rulo couldn’t be trusted. Just then, Dalia’s
phone rings. She thinks it’s Rulo, but it’s the detective who tells her she
needs to go give a statement. Dalia asks why she should give a statement…
Fabi arrives at the police station to make her statement.
After Ramón tells her that Lucho is giving his statement and she needs to wait
for Marg to take her in, Marg and Porfirio come out with Lucho who complains
that he had to repeat several times that he didn’t know anything. Just then,
Dalia arrives accompanied by Valente and wonders what she has to say. Marg
replies that she just needs to tell the truth…and they need to report anything
strange that they may have noticed. When Marg tells them that a large amount of
drugs were found at the shop, Dalia is very surprised and says she never saw
anything. After Porfirio leaves to get a drink of water and Marg takes Dalia
and Fabi in to give their statements, Ramón asks Valente why he came with
Dalia…Ramón figured Rulo would bring her. Valente tells Ramón that Rulo stood
Dalia up and seems to have left on trip. Porfirio then returns so Ramón tells
him that Valente has just told him something that could be very important.
After Ramón recounts how Rulo left, Porfirio agrees that it is very important
and takes Ramón away with him.
Porfirio and Ramón arrive at the interrogation area.
Porfirio is glad that Dalia and Fabi have not entered yet since there is
something significant that he has found out. When he questions Dalia, she tells
them about the man telling her Rulo left with two friends. Ramón is sure that
one of the friends had to be Chava. Marg reiterates (in case anyone didn’t get
it) that it is very suspicious that they left on the same day that all of this
happened. Just then the agent comes out and tells them to go in; so they all go
in except for Ramón.
At Juana’s, Andrea comes out from the bedroom and tells
Juana and Jorge that Diego finally fell asleep. Juana feels badly for Diego
since his mother passed away only two months ago…and now this. Just then Julio
arrives and gives them an update. Juana hopes that things get cleared up
quickly once all the statements have been made, but Julio is pessimistic since
no one is going to admit wrongdoing and give themselves away. Julio comments
that Antonio continues to be responsible and thinks he will remain in jail for
a long time since it will take a while for the agents to figure out what
happened. Jorge remarks that Julio could be a bit more optimistic, but Julio
retorts that he is just being realistic…why give false hopes. He continues that
he doesn’t need to have studied to know that Antonio has put himself in the
worst of crimes—drug trafficking. When Andrea insists that Antonio is innocent,
Julio snaps, “Innocent, but stupid! You have to be a real idiot to let
something like that happen.” Juana interjects that this could happen to anyone.
There have been various news reporting how drugs get placed in people’s
pockets... and Antonio got into this without any fault. After Julio agrees but
adds that the problem still exists, he leaves to complete some pending things.
After he leaves, Juana wonders how Julio can be so nice, yet so cold. Jorge
advises that she’d better get used to it; his father has always been like that.
In the interrogation room, Fabi gives her statement and
supports Antonio. Dalia also states that she has worked there for several years
and has never noticed anything; she adds that Antonio is a good person. When
the agent names the employees who haven’t declared, Porfirio urges Dalia to
declare what she knows about Rulo; so Dalia recounts how she went to look for
Rulo and was told that he had left with two friends. She then gives them the
address.
As the Three Amigos/Bandidos are on their escape route,
Rulo’s phone rings for a third time from a number he doesn’t recognize. Oozie
thinks it’s probably the cops and Chava freaks out; so Oozie tells him to calm
down since the cops don’t know where they are; and they won’t find them. Just
then, Oozie’s phone rings and Rulo sees that it’s the same number…it’s Palomo.
After Oozie orders him not to answer, Rulo gets a text message from Palomo
reproaching them that he has lost a lot of merchandise…they will regret the day
they were born and should consider themselves dead!
Marg goes to see Antonio in his jail cell and tells him
Diego is with Juana; he shouldn’t worry about Diego. She then tells him of the
people who have given statements and adds that Rulo left on a trip. Antonio
comments about the coincidence, Marg adds that they aren’t sure if Rulo left to
get away from Dalia or because he had something to do with the drugs…but the
cops are investigating it. Antonio admits he doesn’t know much about Rulo other
than he is a mechanic and somewhat problematic. When Marg tells him that the
only other ones that are left to give statements are Chava and Oozie, Antonio
hopes they don’t suspect Oozie since he is family. Marg is suspicious since
Oozie was the one that told the agents where Antonio could be found. Antonio
thinks that the agents probably took Oozie by surprise…but then realizes that
Oozie could have notified him that the agents were going for him. Marg nods.
The agents search Rulo’s apartment and find nothing. They
get a call that Chava is not at his residence either. The agent now realizes that the rats are on the run.
At his home, Julio looks at his computer as he tries to
figure out how he is going to pay Noe. Just then, the agents arrive asking for
Oozie. Julio thinks they are there to inform Oozie that he needs to go give his
statement, but the agent tells him they have tried to reach Oozie; and it seems
he has disappeared. Julio scoffs and tries to call Oozie, but he gets the
“unavailable” message. When the agent explains that Oozie is suspected of being
one of the individuals responsible for storing the drugs at the auto repair
shop, Julio thinks they must be mistaken and asks what makes them think Oozie
is involved. The agent replies that it seems Oozie escaped with two other
employees from the shop; they are his accomplices. The agent then tells Julio
that they want to start searching in Oozie’s bedroom first. (They are looking
for a kilo of coke and a two thousand pound anvil.)
At the police station, Lucho wonders what will happen
tomorrow…if they should show up to work. Ramón thinks they should definitely
show up to work; hopefully Antonio will be released today. Fabi adds that she
agrees; they need to show up to work just as always. After Lucho dismisses
himself and leaves, Porfirio comes out and tells them that Rulo, Chava and
Oozie are nowhere to be found which makes them highly suspicious. When Fabi is
surprised that Oozie is also suspected, Porfirio shares that he was surprised too, but that’s the way things
are.
In Oozie’s bedroom, the agents conduct their search as
Julio comments that this is all very strange…as far as he knows (which isn’t
much), Oozie doesn’t have any friends that work at the shop; Julio insists that
there has to be an error. When the agent asks how he can explain Oozie’s
disappearance, Julio explains that Oozie is just like that; he’ll take off with
his college friends and never notifies him. The agent comments that,
unfortunately, everything indicates that he didn’t leave with his friends.
Julio tries to call Oozie again...
At Juana’s, Juana talks on the phone to Ramón who gives
her an update and mentions that Oozie is one of the ones who cannot be found,
Juana feels sorry for Don Julio. She hangs up so she can go alert Julio, but
before she leaves, Juana tells Jorge that it seems his brother is involved.
Jorge is in disbelief. After Juana runs off to tell Julio, Jorge still can’t
believe Oozie could be a drug trafficker…it just can’t be possible. (Gigolos
selling college test results do not usually sell drugs also.)
At Dalia’s house, Dalia and Valente enter. Dalia can’t
believe she was so stupid (Ever heard of too stupid to know you're stupid?). There was no one that didn’t warn her that Rulo
was a panderer…and she was an idiot! Valente doesn’t think it does her any good
to chide herself…she should just be glad she got out of this without becoming involved.
Dalia now realizes where Rulo got all the money…which he had said he got as an
inheritance from an aunt; and she believed it. Dalia curses Rulo…she hates him!
Valente offers Dalia a drink, but she prefers to be alone and goes to her
bedroom.
Juana arrives at Julio’s apartment. Julio blurts out that
he can’t believe it…the cops are searching Oozie’s bedroom. His son may be
whatever they say, but not a drug trafficker. Juana thinks it has to be a
mistake; so Julio concurs…they only suspect Oozie because the other two are
missing. Oozie would never hang out with those types of people (listen up,
Juana!)…he’s more class-conscious than his mother. Just then, the agent comes
for Julio and asks him to go with him to the bedroom. After Julio and Juana enter
the bedroom, the agent shows him a parcel of drugs they found (how would you
like your crow, Don Julio?).
Julio is shocked and wonders where they found it. When
the agent tells him they found it in the closet and asks if Julio is sure he
doesn’t know where Oozie is, Julio tells him Oozie never showed up to the
restaurant. Julio insists the parcel doesn’t belong to his son. The agent
points out that though they haven’t had the parcel fingerprinted, the parcel
was in his son’s belongings. Julio shakes his head still in disbelief.
At the police station, Julio is being interrogated. When
the agent asks if Julio ever noticed anything strange or if Oozie seemed to
spend more money than he should have, Julio affirms that he didn’t notice and
adds that it hasn’t been long since Oozie returned to live with him. He reports
that Oozie lived with Francystco before returning home. When the agent asks how
Oozie supported himself, Julio tells him Oozie works at MedFer, but the agent
points out that Oozie hasn’t been working there for very long. Julio admits
that he would support Oozie and adds that his son can’t be a drug trafficker.
Agent 2 comments that unfortunately, everything shows otherwise.
At Juana’s, Jorge still cannot believe his brother is
involved in this. When Andrea thinks that Oozie must have liked the easy money,
Jorge thinks that Oozie must be an idiot; he’s going to end up in jail and with
just cause. Not only did Oozie ruin his life, he also caused Andrea, Fabi and
Antonio much harm. Jorge feels badly for Antonio who is in a heap of
trouble…and all because of Oozie. Andrea wonders how Jorge and Oozie can be
brothers, yet so different. Jorge doesn’t know, but it pains him. Just then,
Diego comes out asking if has father has arrived. Andrea tells him Antonio
hasn’t returned, but thinks it won’t be too long since they already found out
who the culprits are. Diego wonders who the culprits are, but Andrea avoids
telling him and offers to make him a delicious dinner.
At Dalia’s, Luisa
arrives to pick up some shoes and asks when Dalia left. Valente then shares
that Dalia didn’t leave and gives her an update about Rulo, Chava and Oozie
being suspects. Luisa goes quickly to see Dalia and gives her a hug as Dalia
cries.
Dalia admits that Luisa was right. When she mentions that
Rulo is a drug trafficker, Luisa thanks God that Dalia freed herself of Rulo in
time. Dalia then continues to cry and says that she was so dumb. Luisa
reiterates that the good thing is Dalia was saved from Rulo; and this should serve
her as a reminder that she should listen to the advice of those who love her.
At the police station, Juana thinks Fabi should go home
and rest, but Fabi refuses to leave until Antonio is released. Juana worries
that they are taking a long time with Julio, so Ramón points out that it’s probably
long because they found drugs in Julio’s home and may be thinking that Julio
may also be involved…just like they accused Antonio of being involved…he may
even be detained. Just then Julio comes out with a long face and remarks to
Juana, “My son is a criminal. You have no idea how hard this is.” Meanwhile,
Porfirio and Marg give Antonio an update about how they found the drugs in
Oozie’s bedroom. Antonio would have never imagined Oozie would do this. He gave
Oozie a hand and look how he got repaid. Marg adds that Oozie has always been
one to have problems. When Antonio asks what will happen next, Porfirio replies
that when the agents absolve him of any responsibility, he will be released.
Antonio thanks, Porfirio, but Porfirio responds that thanks are not needed; he
was not about to leave Marg alone in this. Before they leave, Marg lends her
phone to Antonio so he can send a message to Diego.
Coming out of a restaurant, Luisa comments to Dalia that
it’s best to be alone than ill-accompanied. As they walk away, Fredes, who was
close by, is worried that Luisa is going to leave Finito…and it won’t be long
before she goes after Benito’s bones.
At Juana’s, everyone who was at the police station
arrives. Marg sits by Diego and tells him his father will have to stay over
there a while longer, but he did send Diego a message. Diego watches the video
Antonio made as everyone listens and smiles. Juana then invites everyone to the
dining room so she can make them something to eat, but Julio declines since he
isn’t very hungry. Julio insists that Juana join the rest while he keeps his
distance…he needs to be alone.
At Benito’s house, Fredes enters and immediately tells
Ada what she just found out—Luisa is divorcing Finito! When Ada gets a big
smile, Fredes tells Ada not to get worked up…and she’d better not say anything
to Benito. Ada secretly smiles.
At the jail, Ramón takes Antonio something to eat. When
Ramón asks what they should do tomorrow, Antonio thinks everything will be
closed down, but instructs Ramón to tell the men that they will get paid as
usual…and hopes it won’t be long before they see each other again. When Ramón
asks what he should tell the customers, Antonio instructs him to tell them the
truth and to assure them they will get a discount for having to wait longer
than expected. They talk about specific work orders and how to handle each.
In her bedroom, Dalia swears Rulo will pay for what he
did to her. No one makes a fool of her and she will do whatever it takes to
help the police find him.
As the Three Amigos/Bandidos eat in front of a rinky-dinky
store, Rulo wonders why Oozie didn’t bring the parcel of drugs with him; they
could have gotten good money for it. Oozie chides Rulo for suggesting that; if
they are caught with the drugs then they would certainly be doomed…they don’t
even know anyone at the place where they are going. When Rulo asks if Oozie hid
the parcel well, Oozie replies he didn’t have time. If the cops find it, his
father will just have to deal with it. Just then, Rulo gets a message from
Dalia asking why he did this to her if she loved him. As he finishes reading,
they hear a siren; and a patrol car goes directly to the store, so Rulo points
that they should leave.
The Next day
At Juana’s, Julio sleeps on the couch as Juana touches
his mustache and wakes him. After she offers him breakfast, Julio declines
again since he isn’t hungry. Juana understands the worries he has, but he
shouldn’t keep from eating. She convinces him to go to the kitchen to eat.
At Rosendo’s place, Chato runs up as Rosendo and Sofía
have breakfast and tells Rosendo that he just got word that they lost a huge
amount of merchandise (uh-oh! Small world; Big troubles…) in Mexico City; the
cops located the place where it was being stored. Rosendo is pissed because he
was just starting to recuperate some of his money. When Chato explains that
none of their people were arrested and that it seems the cops were tipped off,
Rosendo wants the heads of the culprits. After Chato leaves, Sofía warns
Rosendo that he can’t go to Mexico City; he’ll be exposed. Rosendo tells her
not to worry…those sorry jerks will pay for their mistake.
Marg goes to visit Antonio and tells him how much Diego
enjoyed his video; it helped calm Diego very much. When she tells him she slept
with Diego at his home, Antonio appreciates it. Marg shares that Diego is like
a…but hesitates. Antonio insists that she continue, he would like to hear her
say it. So she continues, “Like my son.” Antonio smiles and they kiss. Antonio
then tells Marg that the first thing he wants to do when he gets out is to
marry her. Marg wants him to get out first, then they can talk about marriage;
it seems things will be resolved soon.
At MedFer, Ramón sees the “closed” sign; so he tells the
employees that they won’t be able to enter. He adds that Antonio assures they
will get paid though the shop is closed. Fabi then interjects that in regards
to the commissions, they won’t be able to pay them, but this is only temporary.
All the employees are supportive and understanding. After the employees leave,
Ramón and Fabi discuss how they will handle the customers. Fabi then asks about
Dalia, so Ramón tells Fabi that Dalia is in bad shape…he will talk to Dalia
later.
At his office, Porfirio calls his doctor to tell him he
won’t be able to go to his appointment. When Porfirio mentions that he had some
urgent matters to tend to, the doctor wonders if the matters were more urgent
than Porfirio’s health. Porfirio replies that he hasn’t even had time to feel
bad; he is helping some friends with a legal situation. The doctor understands,
but Porfirio should think of himself first. When the doctor asks about the
headaches, Porfirio reports he hasn’t had any, nor has he had nosebleeds. The
doctor concedes, but would like to see Porfirio as soon as possible and before
his next chemo treatment. After he hangs up. Porfirio smirks at the thought, “Me,
a friend of Antonio! Who would have thought?” Porfirio then gets a call
regarding the case; and he asks if everything is ready so that his client can
be released. After he listens to the response, Porfirio is disappointed and
worries.
At Julio’s office, Noe Manujar, the big-time gambler,
enters and asks for Julio. When the secretary tells him Julio won’t be in
because of personal matters, Mr. Manujar wants her to call him since Julio
isn’t answering his calls. The secretary insists she can’t bother him because
of the personal matter, but the Mr. Manujar leans over the desk and tells her
he isn’t asking…he’s telling her to call him NOW!
At the jail, Ramón tells Antonio that everything at
MedFer is under control. The employees are cooperating and the customers are
understanding. As they talk about specific customers, Porfirio enters with
not-so-very-good news—the judge has ordered that all of Antonio’s accounts be
frozen as part of the process…
