Enamorandome de Ramon #108, 1/2/18: Dalia sets a Trap for the Trio of Tontos but it’s not working.
Porfirio let’s Antonio know that the police has frozen his assets while
they investigate if the money was legitimately earned. Antonio is upset because
not having access to his funds limits what he can do to continue paying his
workers. Porfirio then breaks the bad news that his shop will not be allowed to
open during the investigation; also he may lose his shop if they prove it was
bought with illegal funds. Antonio says that the shop was but by Ricardo and
himself with work money.
Julio’s phone rings but he is in the shower, Juana picks it up and it
is Julio’s secretary Jessica she is about to give Juana a message when Noe
pushes the speaker button and interferes by saying that it is about his debt.
Jessica hangs up and tells him he can’t do that, he says she can’t tell him
what to do. Julio comes out of the room and sees Juana with his cell, he says
“what are you doing with my phone?” Juana explains that she answered because it
was from his office and that Jessica did not even leave a message because
someone interrupted about a debt. “What else did you hear?” “No nothing else
because the call was dropped.” Julio grabs the phone away from Juana very
rudely and Juana is visibly upset but just walks away. He dials the phone, clueless as to how he just treated Juana.
Antonio asks Porfirio how long it will take to have Medfer released
from all suspicion. Porfirio can’t say, it depends on the investigation. Antonio
is worried that the clients will sue because their cars are in the shop. Ramon
thinks that if they are allowed to take out the cars from the shop he can give
them to the clients and fix the pending ones. Porfirio agrees that it’s
possible, if the judge is a friendly judge.
Jessica answers Julio’s call and explains that Noe left because she
told him that Julio was not coming into the office today. Jessica tells him
that he was there about a debt, so Jessica asks "which debt?" Julio says it was
just a loan and then hangs up on her. Juana walks in and asks "what loan?" Julio
is rude to her and tells her that if she is going to be listening to his
conversations, she better get it right. The debt is a debt owed to him and that
the guy wants an extension (yeah right!!). Juana says that she was not listening
to his conversations but she was worried about him. Julio thanks her for
worrying but he will thank her more if she stays out of his affairs, and walks
away leaving Juana pensive and disappointed.
Maggie lets Fabiola know that her assets are frozen too because she
made some payments from her account for some parts for the shop, so her account is now connected with Medfer. She is worried that they
are left with no money, no work, no shop and all because of those hoodlums.
The police are at the apartments and Hortensia sees them and asks the
guard what’s up and finds out about the issue with Osbaldo. She asks Nabor
where Julio is, he tells her that he
thought he was with her, he is not so she turns around and goes back up to look
for him.
Ramon and Fabi are discussing where they can get money to fix the cars
if they are allowed to take them out. Fabi thinks she can ask Andrea for a
loan.
Back at the Medina apartment Julio asks Juana for a cup of coffee and she says "yes go to the kitchen
and serve it yourself" he notices finally that Juana is upset and he apologizes but tells her "she needs to understand" that he is very
upset because of what is happening with Osbaldo. The doorbell rings and it is Hortensia who gets on Julio’s case
for not keeping her informed about the problems he and Osbaldo are having. She
tells him that he should have told her and gone to live with her in the
meantime, and absolutely not here with Juana. She tells him to go with her; Julio says he will catch
up to her. He first has to squirm his way out of this one with Juana.
Adalgisa is walking down the street thinking she has to go ask Finito
if he indeed is getting divorced. She gets near his restaurant and sees that
Luisa and Finito are there, but she notices that they don’t look like they are
having any problems on the contrary they look like they are getting along just
fine and on top of that they actually look like a very cute couple.
Andrea shows up and says that all they need to do is ask Julio for her
money so she can help Fabi and the shop. Jorge offers to go get him at dear old
granny’s house.
Hortensia and Julio are having a nice mother son conversation; she asks
“do you know where Ozzie is?” “Nope I don’t” “oh and by the way they found a
large amount of drugs in his room” “oh dear god how is it possible that one of
my grandchildren is a drug dealer” (well get used to it Granny)
Jorge arrives and asks Julio to go down, he completely ignores granny
(yay for Jorge) even when she says “what about me?”(what about you lady, Karma baby Karma)
Back at the torta (sandwich) shop Adalgisa sees how Finito shows Luisa
how to cut the bread for the tortas, they sure look like they are enjoying
cutting bread and Adalgisa thinks to herself that she is dumb for always
listening to her aunt.
At the Medina apartment Julio is being informed that they need $300,000
pesos. He dances around and tells them “that is too much money”, Fabi tries to
explain that they need it to be able to fix the cars and pay the employees.
Well Julio disagrees if there is no work the employees should not get paid, but
Fabi says that Antonio does not want to leave his workers hanging. Julio then says “Well if he
is going to be generous let him be generous with his own money.” Julio does
what he can to convince them that he will only take out $10,000 pesos to help
them out with the most urgent expenses (that is not even $1000 in US dollars).
Maggie shows up and gives them the good news that the judge will allow them to
take out the cars to be able to return them to the clients. This information
hits Julio like a ton of bricks.
Dalia texts Rulo and tells him that she misses him and just wants to
know that he is doing well. She then texts and says out loud "Please
answer me, I am worried."
Valente walks behind her and tells her that he can’t believe that after
what Rulo has done to her she is texting him. She answers that it is not what
he thinks, she is texting him so that she can find out where he is and then turn
him in to the police. Valente tells her he does not believe her, and she says
she could care less if he believes her or not.
Ramon gets there and updates Valente with the situation. Valente tells
him that he needs to be careful with Dalia because she was texting Rulo and may
be giving him information.
The three amigos are in Chava’s relative's house, Ozzie is trying to
watch tv but there is no reception as he tries to adjust the rabbit ears on the
1970’s TV he complains to Chava about
the cheap place he brought them too. Chava says" what do you want a 5 star
hotel?" Ozzie finally gets reception and he tunes in to the news where
they learn that Palomo’s body was found in the trunk of his car. The assumption
is that it was drug related. The three amigos are shocked and fear stricken
with the news.
At Rosendo’s he hears the news that Palomo has been taken care off, he
then asks "who is in charge of that zone now?" his henchman replies
“el Chamuco boss." He leaves and Sofia then asks Rosendo what is up with
the Colombia deal, Rosendo tells her that she will handle that one so that she can
start learning. They toast with tequila shots. Sophia looks worried? (not sure on this one).
Ramon goes to see Dalia, who is in bed sulking. She tells him that she
is trying to help because she hates to see Don Antonio in jail. Ramon tells her
hopefully her plan works.
At the cheap digs Ozzie tells the other two compadres that maybe the
cartel does not know about them, because Palomo did not have to be telling them
where the drug was being stored or distributed to. Dumb and dumber agree that
that may be the case. Rulo’s phone rings and he tells them it’s Dalia that she
truly loves him because even after what he did to her she is still looking for
him. Ozzie thinks they may be able to use her to get information about what is
going on in the city. Rulo will consider asking her but in the meantime he will
let Dalia miss him.
At the shop Ramon and the gang are waiting to have the fence opened by
the agent so that they can work on the cars that are pending. Dalia is also
there and she is working on calling clients and trying to get them to understand
the situation. She gets a text from Rulo and calls Ramon over to show him the
message, Porfirio is there as well so he tells her not to ask him where he is
because he can become suspicious. She sends him a voice message asking him why
he did this to her, at the other end Ozzie tells him to answer back but be
careful what he says. He says he screwed up but he did it for her, he wanted
her to have everything. Dalia not buying it and says "what a liar". Ramon calms
her down and tells her just to follow along and play Rulo’s little game, so she
replies “so you do love me?” he then says “yes I love you and all I want is for
you to be with me” he then asks “how is everything there?” Porfirio tells her
not to answer that, not until they can get to the drug enforcement team. So she lies
and tells Rulo her battery is dying so she will have to call him later.
Luisa visits Juana and they discuss her marriage to Finito, she
confesses that she does not love Finito and she still thinks about Benito, but
what’s done is done and she married Finito and they are good friends. Juana
does not think it’s a good idea to stay with Finito just because they are
friends.
At the police station the police officer tells Dalia she did a good job
and that from now on she will have to do what the police officers tell her. They
are going to try to locate Rulo based on recording a phone conversation with
Rulo but Dalia will need to keep him on the phone for a long time so that they
can trace the call.
At the makeshift shop (out on the street) Ramon is working on a car,
and tells Fabi that Dalia regrets having gotten involved with Rulo and that is
why she is helping. Fabi hopes that if they catch Rulo that will help Antonio
get out of jail.
Back at the station they tell Dalia to text Rulo
Porfirio leaves the office because he is feeling hot. His nose begins
to bleed again.
Dalia texts Rulo, and tells him she wants to talk to him. Dumb and
dumber tell Rulo to call her but to be careful what he says and to get as much
info out of her. He is about to dial the phone when Ozzie grabs it and hangs up
because he has a bad feeling about it. He then texts Dalia that the phone
battery is dying and he will call her later. Rulo gets upset but Ozzie tells
him something does not feel right about it. Chava tells them to stop arguing.
Pedro goes to visit Juana and they begin to have coffee and cookies,
Julio then shows up and he is obviously upset about Pedro being there with
Juana. Don Pedro tells Julio that he thinks Julio's idea about recommending the franchise to Juana was a good one. Julio sarcastically says, “Well I’m glad you approve because your
opinion is “VERY IMPORTANT” to Juana". Juana hears the sarcasm in his voice and
she is not pleased with Julio’s behavior. She offers him coffee and leaves to
go to the kitchen (probably to vent a little).
At the station the officer says that Rulo may have suspected something
that’s why he decided not to call but that Dalia needs to not pressure him
until he is ready. She volunteers to stay at the station until he calls, if he
calls.
Don Pedro leaves and Julio does not even move to say good bye, he is extremely rude to Don Pedro. Julio and Juana argue over Pedro, Julio is upset that Juana does not
trust Julio and that she has to get Don Pedro's approval for everything.
Frank gets a call from his attorney, that there is an offer for the clinic for 3.5 million pesos
but buyer wants to only write up 2 million so that he only has to give 1 million
to Fabiola and he would get to keep 2.5 million. Frank likes the sound of that.
He calls Maggie to say that there is an offer for the clinic and wants to meet
with Fabi. Maggie says she handles Fabi’s business, so she will meet him. Frank is ok with that, although he would have loved to meet Fabi as well.
Juana and Fabi discuss Julio’s tantrum about Don Pedro.
Valente drops of tacos for Dalia at the police station and apologizes for not trusting her.
He asks her how long she is going to be there. As they are talking the police
officer comes to tell her that she is getting a call. It is Rulo and he is
about to hang up when Dalia answers. He asks why she took so long, she said
that she was asleep and thought he was not going to call her back. He tells her
that he had not called her because his partners were freaking out, she then quite
sharply asks him who he is with to which he replies that he is there with Ozzie
and Chava, as they are talking Ozzie appears out of nowhere and nocks the phone
out of Rulo’s hands. Rulo tells him that he is crazy and that he better watch
it or next time he will have a problem with Rulo. Dalia tries calling him back
but Rulo does not answer.

BTW, Rats on the Run: the popo can have the phone company look to see which towers your phone is connecting to and get a darn close fix on your location. It works if the phone is on, you don't need to be talking on it. A phone has to be in constant contact with the towers or it would not know when to ring when someone called. Just sayin'.............
Oh shit, the choker is back. It was replaced or covered by a wide black one for a scene or two. Is it a tattoo? Sure looks tight. Oh, Choker, um, nevermind.
Wanna? gave us another smirk-like look when Julio came in as Don Pedro was visiting Wanna and Julio barged in, very annoyed, and told her to get him a coffee. Julio was just plain rude to DPedro. If she doesn't see it now she is far dumber than we thought if that is possible. She should be stuffed into that KIA Speck or whatever car Ooze has, with the ROTR. We would have Dumb, Dumber, Dumbest and 'Not Measured'.
Those two (J&J ) had a little tiff after DPedro left. Then poker brain (not to be conrfused with poke her brain) was back at the casino. Wouldn't that be the first place Gambling Debt Guy would look for him? Can we assume that Andrea's money is actually G O N E, as the reason Julio in essence refused to give it to them to rescue the shop?
Cyst and his schemes....Our only hopeo is that SoFurious will give him a BIG reward.

This was a satisfying episode. One could sense the noose tightening around around trio of dunces, as well as Juana finally seeing what a poor prospect "Don Julio" really is. I loved Jorge's retort when she mused last night about how her fiancé could switch from "caring" to "cold" so quickly and he said "Get used to it, because he has always been that way."
A poor excuse for a husband, poor excuse for a father, and poor excuse for a man, given his gambling addiction. Sorry Susanlynn, your telenovio is truly a loser in this one!
Sure hope we're going to have a fun replacement for this one, but it looks like these Biblical dramas are taking over on Univision. Sure didn't see that coming!

OT: I was flipping channels recently and noticed that Emilia (I think) from Ooze and Julio was on. There was a fairly close up shot of her face from the perfect angle slightly above, and her eyelashes resembled one of the attachments in my little kit for the vacuum for cleaning keyboards and other small things. A strong gust of wind would have blown her eyes onto her forehead! #gladtheyarenotformen

Julio needs to pay $400000 pesos of the gambling debt. He only has $300000 in his personal account. He intends to use roulette to get the money he needs. The family needs money for MedFer. I am sure there will not be enough money for everybody. Julio's bill is coming due.

My mind started wandering this morning, and I was reflecting on the fact that the strong woman theme that is currently popularized in tv shows and movies is evident in this weird show. I thought originally that Ramoon and FAbu were the leads, but Margarita is large and in chargarita. She is WOnder Woman wielding a pen and yellow legal tablet instead of a sword and shield defending family ,friends, and lover. She has that super megalegal brain and has used it to rescue many of those in her circle. She has aligned herself with two smart sidekicks...Dashing DOn PEdro and POorfi. Of course, girl has needs , so she has chosen Antonio as her mate...the damsel in distress!

Susanlynn, agree, Margarita is a very valuable member of the family. These people get into jail a lot. Ramon - 3 times, Osvaldo, Jorge, Roxana, Fabiola, Antonio. Getting them all out of jail is a full time job.
If there is no money left, since supposedly Fabiola and Andrea each got their share, why is Julio still with Juana? He initially schemed to get with her so that he could control the money, but now? Doesn't make sense.

Too bad there isn't and accountant \auditor in this family to follow the money and find out where it has gone.
This is an interesting family. These folks are very loyal to each other with the exception of the three bad apples..Hor, the family matriarch, Sonny Julio, and grandson Oozie. Juana has become the mama since the parents died and perhaps, even before. I can't remember if the girls' mother or their father was Hor's child. Did that child get the evil gene? It is also interesting that the girls' aunt and uncle fell in love.

Kirby...oh..I do not know about that. One of my friends was a very smart (and confident\egotistcal guy) but ended up in jail for drugs during his freshman or maybe sophomore year in college. It was a slippery slope from there on. Some people are smart..but not smart.

Hi all! Don't have much time today....Woke up this morning to go feed my goats and found two surprises (kids)! Came in to have breakfast, then to go buy feed. Got back and went to check on the babies and there were two more (different mama)!!
I don't think Andrea has gotten her whole share. Juana has just given her money as she has been asking for it...for the farm and for the franchise...so Julio is hoping for whatever is left.

Sandie, let's not forget what Julio did to his niece and his rent-a-son's land. Poisoning their land is right up there with smiting a first born. And he did it or at least had it that done for the shakiest of reasons. To discourage them from spending more money on their farm, money which would have to come from the fish he has a hook in, Wanna(brain).

Kirby: yes Julio is despicable and he deserves one of the biggest anvils. Jail will be too good for him. I still want to know when is he going to tell everyone about Betito.
Will the family press charges against Julio if the truth comes out? With this bunch, I doubt it. Any ideas about the anvils in store for Fran and Julio? They have not killed anyone, but Fran came pretty close to killing Hor. I do not want him to get any money from that clinic, so maybe he will have an un(not)fortunate accident. As for Julio, he is family , and I fear he may be forgiven, so maybe he needs a runaway piecart or a loose coyote, too.

Don't have much time today, but Sandie, just wanted to tell you that you did a great job with this episode. I LOVED your title! That "trio of tontos" had me really laughing.
I am ready for Julio to have some sort of heart attack or something. That gambling/loan shark guy is going to drive him to it, hopefully. I will not be sad to see him die. The one who I'm sad about is Porfi because he sure doesn't deserve it. He's a good guy and not only does he not get the girl, it appears that he is so sick he will not be finishing out to the grand finale. How about that for "nice guys finish last?"
So that thing around Dalia's neck, is that a tattoo?
