Caray, Caray!

Ana, waiting for the ambulance, thinks back on deceiving Blanca all of those years and everybody’s reaction to her when they found out she was responsible for taking Juan Pablo. In tears, Blanca asks Ana not to die.

Julieta talks to Luz and says that she is feeling a little bit better eventhough it is clear that she is exhausted. Julieta blames it on not having had breakfast. Luz isn’t buying it and thinks she should go see the doctor or at least contact Robert. Luz says that Julieta really gave her a scare. Yawning, Julieta tries to still blame it on not having eaten breakfast. It is nothing. Really. After Luz leaves, Julieta has a hard time staying awake.

Marisol and Xavi talk. She asks why he wants to to throw everything away when his career is taking off. He doesn’t want to throw it away but wonders what good it is if he has nobody to share his fame with. Marisol sees their relationship as having to be only professional what with people so involved in news about him and scandals. Xavi does not give a damn about what people think. She and Frida are the most important things in his life. He is not going to stop loving her. He is willing to win her heart again.


Bruno talks to Linda. He will be going to to Germany fo two years. He cannot force her to wait for him. Linda wants to go with him. That is not a possibility because he does not have the money to support himself here let alone support two people in Germany. She is willing to work there and use her severance pay to help them start out. He won’t let her use her money to support both of them. Nothing matters to her if she cannot be with him. Bruno knows that her parents will never let her go. She will talk to them. He is in all of her dreams. She would follow him to the ends of the earth because she loves him. She continues crying. Bruno says he loves her. They kiss.

Luz wakes up Julieta, who has fallen asleep at her desk, for the meeting which is being held on the terrace/balcony right outside of her office. Everyone is already there, waiting for her. Julieta starts the meeting still yawning.

They are loading Ana into the ambulance. Ana tells Blanca that she got what she deserved. Blanca does not want to hear any of that. Later, Blanca tells her they will talk. A paramedic asks if Blanca is a family member. She pauses for a second and then says that she is. She grabs Ana’s hand. Blanca will follow them to the hospital.

Hugo, as he is rolling out cookie dough, asks Diana if she is going to share her secret project as she is working on her laptop. She says that it can be described as a blog where she tells about her life. Hugo wants to know if he is the leading man. She says that his mother has more of a part. Diana says “speak of the devil” because Catalina has just arrived on the scene. Catalina warns them about speaking ill of her behind her back. Catalina wants them to pick up and put away all their things because they have a very special guest coming to eat. Hugo is already to serve his cookies. Catalina has heard enough about those. Catalina notices that Diana looks different. Hugo agrees that she looks luminous. Hugo says since everything went well with Catalina ”on vacation" maybe she should more. Catalina tells him to be quiet. Everyday he is more like his wife.

Robert is going to drop Dave off at Catalina’s. Julieta will pick him up in a little while. Robert gives him a container of good nutritionally packed veggies for Catalina to feed him. Robert asks about school and then kids. Dave is no longer getting picked on. He is now on a soccer team and is the goalkeeper. Dave is happy to have so many friends. Robert is overjoyed with the news. Out of nowhere, Robert asks him if he would not like to have somebody to play with at home like a little brother. Dave doesn’t think so and wonders why Robert is asking. No reason.

At the meeting, Julieta is out of it on the verge of falling asleep. The decision that was to be made today she puts off until next week. After the meeting, Luz is still concerned about Julieta. Julieta says she just needs air. Luz reminds her that they are outside. Well, Julieta feels like there is no air today and leaves.

Amalia is moving in with Enzo and seems to have an endless amount of stuff. He notices amd makes a comment. She says with her there will always be more stuff coming as she displaces his belongings. Now is to time to get used to each other and adjust to each other. She takes their first selfie living together to put on the night stand. She is smiling. He isn’t.

Ana is in the emergency room saying she deserved to die. Blanca is with her and does not want to hear that kind of talk and, as she already told her, she never wanted anything to happen to her like this. Ana insists that she deserves the worst. This could be her punishment. Blanca insists this is not the time or the place to talk. Ana has to get well. Ana thanks her for saying that she was her “family” to the authorities. It gives her a sense of tranquility that Blanca still considers her that. Blanca strokes her head. Robert stops by to ask what happened. Ana says she crossed the street. It was her fault. Robert says they are going to take some X-rays and do some tests. Ana will have to stay at least for today in the hospital. They want to make sure she has no internal bleeding. Robert tells Blanca that it looks like Ana will be just fine. She is not going to die. What worries him is that she is in full detox and he does not want her to have any medications that would affect her other treatment. Blanca feels so responsible. Robert has to tell her that she is not responsible for anything. It is nobody’s fault.

Back at Catalina’s, Dave is eating dinner with them. They have hotdogs fully dressed. Hugo ends up telling Dave that he never ate his vegetables. Catalina says that is why he is so disobedient. Catalina tells Dave he has to eat his vegetables so his mother and father don’t scold her. He reaches in his lunch box and gets some broccoli. Dave asks how his mother behaved as a little girl. It turns out that she was always fighting with Hugo. As Hugo is trying to explain how they would steal their toys back and forth, Diana feels like she has to talk about what a studious child Julieta was. Hugo asks if Dave would like some little brothers or sisters. Dave wonders why everyone is asking him that question. Catalina proclaims it to be a “sign” from the universe.

Eugenio gets a phone call from Blanca explaining the situation with Ana. Blanca is feeling guilty. Eugenio tells her to calm down and that it will turn out all right. Blanca is scared. Eugenio says that they are on their way to be with her at the hospital. When he tells Imelda, she sees the accident as the outcome of not forgiving Ana. Imelda reminds him that they told Blanca she had to get rid of all of that resentment ASAP. Eugenio insists it was an accident. They all have to go and support Blanca.

Marisol and Xavi listen to the recording of his song. Marisol thinks it will be a hit. Xavi asks her if she knows that he composes all of his songs for her. Marisol doesn’t want to hear any of that. He knows but she returned his love of life to him. She says he did the same for her and smiles. He knows she feels something for him. He can see it in her eyes. She never imagined any of this when she met him. She is afraid. He asks of what. Her head tells her to be cold and rude with him but she also knows how she feels and when she is with him she feels better. Her phone rings cutting short the conversation. It is Imelda.

Daniela gets a phone call as Clarissa and Cassandra are trying to convince her to look like a princess at her wedding. Gabriel is there, too. Daniela needs to leave for the hospital and does leave the Mussi sister complaining about her to each other.

The whole family is in the waiting room. A nurse has to come and shush them. Eugenio fills them in about Ana’s accident. Enzo asks who Ana is. Amalia explains she is a harpy, a venomous spider. They ask how Blanca is. Eugenio says she isn’t answering her phone. Now can they see why he doesn’t want Blanca going out alone? Daniela answers that they don’t know how it all happened. Imelda stresses that what they do know is that Ana got run over. Fate is sure laughing at them. . .

Back at home, Polita tells Audifaz about Ana being in the hospital and everyone being there. Audifaz cannot believe that Ana was run over and right in front of Ana. Life could not be any stranger. Polita wonders if they should tell Tulio. Audifaz doesn’t know if that would be the best idea.

Blanca comes out to the waiting room with Robert. Ana is fine except for a broken arm. She will stay the night just for observation. Blanca does not want to leave Ana alone. Robert says that Ana will be fine. All of the specialists are taking care of her. Imelda reminds her that sometimes the best help one can give is by not getting in the way. Robert tells Blanca to go and get some rest. She had a big scare.

Back at home with Dave, Julieta is still sleepy. Dave suggests they can go on vacation again . . . to the beach! She laughs. He has a lot of energy or maybe she is just getting old. Dave does not agree. She is really young. Julieta tells him he is the best son that life could have ever given her. They just start on his math homework when Robert arrives. Robert asks Dave if he ate his broccoli. Yes, he did. Yawning, Julieta asks how Ana is. As Robert is talking to Dave first about his math homework and then gives her the details about Ana’s accident and condition, she falls asleep. Dave notices and just kisses her. Robert smiles.

At home with the family, Blanca sees the accident over and over in her head. Blanca just cannot get Ana thrown on the ground out of her head. She feels so guilty. Linda says Blanca didn’t push her or did she? Blanca has to remind her that it is nothing to joke about. Imelda sees it as a big coincidence and asks if this is not a sign for Blanca to forgive Ana.

Robert carries a sleeping Julieta to bed so she can take a nap. Luz calls to check up on Julieta amd tells Robert how Julieta almost fainted. Robert is worried and talks to Julieta. He wants her to her to get some tests done today. Julieta thinking of her dream with the suitcases filled with toys, feeling faint and nausepus, wonders if she is pregnant again . . . Robert thinks that is why they need to get some tests done today. Frankly after all that they have been through, he does not think that she is pregnant. Julieta knows he is right but she just cannot stop hoping. Robert understands but now they do have a family and they are happy. She agrees and also agrees to having some tests run.

Blanca agrees that it could have been fate that made her have that accident with Ana have so that she could confront her but Blanca doesn’t know if she can forgive her. Imelda tells her that is her right but insists that she cannot escape it all by just ignoring it. Linda thinks it all could have been just coincidence. Imelda reminds them all that nothing happens in this life by coincidence. Blanca feels responsible because Ana wanted to talk to her and she did not want to. Eugenio adds that at least Ana was punished. Linda and Marisol cannot believe what they just heard. Daniela tells him that his comment was in really bad taste. Linda says she wouldn’t even say something like that. He admits he went overboard but enough of scolding him already. Blanca says that although Ana has caused her a great deal of pain, she would never hurt mother person. Imelda just nods knowingly.

Julieta is on Bruno’s bed talking with Dave as he plays on his bed. She is going to help him with his homework. She won’t do it but will be there to answer his questions. He says she looks like Sleeping Beauty. She doesn’t know if it was something that she ate that made her this tired but she is ready to help him with his homework. He asks her basic multiplication problems and she answers them and finally calls him on tricking her into giving him the answers. He has to do his own work.

Marisol tells Blanca that the whole family knows that she did not have any bad intentions towards Ana. Blanca does not know what to do. She had been thinking about Ana all those days. She had so much to tell her eventhough she did not want to talk to her. Blanca never thought it would all end up like it did. Daniela suggests that she just talk to Ana whether she forgives her or not. Eugenio doesn’t know what they would talk about because Ana is heartless. Imelda knows that Blanca has a big heart. Blanca agrees. Blanca has learned from all they have been through that although everything might be ugly, there can be beautiful things all around. The daughters don’t quite understand that. Marisol asks if Blanca thinks that good things can come out of unhappiness. Blanca says yea. Only one must learn to see all of that beauty that our eyes don’t see. Crying, Blanca leaves and Imelda follows.

Robert comes into the bedroom. Dave is dancing on his bed and Julieta is asleep. Dave says he finished his homework Julieta fell asleep again. Robert wakes Julieta up and says she really could be ill so they need to go and get those tests done. Bruno can watch Dave. She finally gets up and goes.

Xavi talks to Tavo about what to do with Marisol. He told her everything he feels for her and it went badly. Tavo says that he has to understand her. Marisol is just getting out of a relationship full of conflict. Xavi adds that it was also destructive but doesn’t see the connection. Tavo explains that Marisol always was around a man who controlled how she was supposed to be. It is logical that she would be afraid of getting involved again. So what is Xavi supposed to do. Tavo thinks that he needs to make Marisol understand that he is ready to confront anything and everything to be with her. Xavi has an idea of what he can do.

Imelda talks to Blanca alone about what to do next. Imelda makes a comment that the accident was like a joke. Blanca does not see anything funny in it. Imelda explains that is was like a bad joke. Blanca agrees that coincidences do not exist and that what happened has to have some sort of meaning. Imelda says she already told her the meaning. She tells Blanca to stop carrying around 34 years of pain and guilt. She needs to talk to Ana. What if Ana had not lived? Blanca is horrified by that idea. Imelda thins she will find the answer in prayer so that God will do with her as He will. Blanca nods and continues crying.

Daniela and Marisol talk to Linda about life and Bruno In their room. Daniela cannot believe that Linda is thinking about following Bruno. Marisol says she is not thinking very clearly. Linda does not want to lose the love of her life. Daniela thinks that running after a guy is a mistake. He has a goal. What about her? Marisol informs her that love doesn’t always last a lifetime. Marisol hits a nerve when she asks if Bruno asked her to go with him. Linda does not know why they have to complicate things but in the end Linda has to admit that he never invited her to go with him. She is going to go crazy without him. Marisol tells her that she is strong enough to handle whatever happens. Nobody dies from love. She needs to think about herself and the family. Daniela asks what she would do in Europe if they broke up. Marisol asks if she is going to have her life dependent on a man.

Blanca runs into Robert at the hospital. She thought he would be at home. He explains that he brought Julieta over to have some tests run because she has been feeling strange. She has been too sleepy, falling asleep all the time and almost fainted at work. Blanca is concerned. Robert explains that being so tired could be caused by a lot of things amd some of them serious. Robert wonders what she is doing there. Blanca has to talk to Ana. Robert asks if she does not feel bad after all Ana did to her/them. She asks what he does when a patient feels bad. He says he looks for some medicine so that they don’t feel bad. Well, that is exactly what she is doing so she doesn’t feel bad anymore. Robert tells her that she is more beautiful than he could ever imagine. Mother and son love each other.

Linda goes across the hall to talk to Bruno and forces the issue of him leaving amd their relationship. She tells him the truth of the matter is that he does not want her to go with him. She dares him to say it to her face. He is only saying that he does not think it is a good idea for her to follow him and leave everything behind. She gets it. She thought that they were a thing, him and her. Bruno says they are a thing, him and her, but a person has to take care of his own life, too, and his plans. Fulfilling this dream is very important to Bruno. It isn’t that he doesn’t like being with her. He just wants to be better. Linda says okay and backs into her own apartment and shuts the door.

Bruno finds out from a worried Dave that Robert took Julieta to see the doctor.

Blanca goes to talk to Ana. Ana says she didn’t have to come to spend the night with her. Everything is fine. Blanca explains that for days she has not been able to get Ana out of her mind. It is something she can not resolve. Ana says that Blanca has been in her mind for 34 years. Blanca is learning what she wants for the rest of her life but she feels like she is in a constant war with Ana. Ana says that Blanca has always shown herself to be a good woman. Ana would prefer that Blanca tell her that she hates her rather than the indifference she has shown to her. Blanca never wanted anything bad to happen to Ana. Ana says it did anyway to bring them face to face. Blanca has wanted to see her and tell her a thousand insults that she has swallowed one by one. Blanca informs her she is not the same person. Ana knows that Blanca did not deserve what she did to her but at that moment she was so envious of her . . . Blanca asks envious? Yes, Ana explains that Blanca was a happy woman, fulfilled. Blanca says she always treated her well. Yes, but Blanca was Imelda’s pride because she could have her grandchildren and she (Ana) suffered everyday. She always wanted to be like Blanca. Blanca cannot believe what she is saying. Ana tells her to believe it. The thing is that Blanca has had what thousands of women want: children a home, a family. Blanca was the good and perfect woman. Blanca says that she fought to have that family. She dedicated herself to her home and never did anything to hurt Ana. Ana confesses that she committed the worst mistake of her life out of envy, rage and resentment. She wanted to destroy Blanca’s happiness as hers had been. Both women are sobbing at this point and Blanca is also squeezing her hands together trying to maintain her self-control. Blanca asks her how she could be so wicked. Ana notices Blanca’s hands and tells her to just hit her because she has every right to. Blanca just shakes her head.

Linda is back in her room beating on her pillow and sobbing. Marisol tells her to calm down. It is nothing to throw a tantrum about. Linda is upset that Bruno didn’t ask her to go with him if only for few days or a week. Daniela says she has to understand him. He is a guy. Doesn’t she think that the idea of going away and living together scares him? Linda feels like she wasted her time with Bruno. He says he loves her but then is this true love? Marisol suggests that she remember the good times she had with Bruno rather than seeing it as an investment of her time with getting something back. Linda thought she was going to spend the rest of her life with him. Daniela says they warned her. Linda doesn’t want to hear anymore from her because she is going to spend the rest of her life with Gabriel. Daniela continues telling her that nothing is certain. Love has to be free. It is not an obligation. She and Gabriel are getting married because both of them want to do it.

Gabriel, who is still living with Sam, awakens to Marissa the rat on his chest and screams for Sam to save him from her. Sam comes to get her pet and warns him he is going to kill Marissa from so much shouting. Gabriel still thinks it is far from normal to have a rat from a pet. Sam counters with saying that she thinks that Gabriel is also putting off finding a place for him and Daniela to live. Sam says that she and Marissa need their space. It suddenly occurs to Gabriel that he does not know where he is going to live with Daniela. In the meantime, Gabriel wants Marissa to understand that he is not her cheese.

Back in Ana’s room, Ana asks Blanca if she thinks that by hitting her she could get rid of all of the rage inside of her. Blanca answers no, obviously not. Hearing that answer Ana starts begging Blanca to forgive her. She is trying to get her life in order. She wants to start over. Blanca knows. ***Ana says that Blanca has no idea how much it hurt her to see Blanca suffer and not to be able to do anything about it. It was hell. This admission really gets Blanca going who now wants to know how could Ana say nothing Ll of those years. Ana answers it was because she thought she would only make her suffer more. She never left Blanca. She wanted to be by her side to take care of her and to protect her and she did that. Blanca asks in disbelief that Ana would take care of her. Ana insists that Blanca cannot say that she did not take care of her and handed over her life to pay for the crazy thing she did.***( Jarifa commentary: *** to *** marks a perfect trip through Ana’s twisted thinking. The woman is really not well)Blanca tells her if she really wanted to take care of her she would have told her immediately where she could have found her son. Blanca says Ana always knew that she loved her. She defended Ana from everybody as a sister. Ana betrayed her day after day. Ana can only blurt out that she loves Blanca and starts begging for her forgiveness again. She will only be able to move on ahead if Blanca forgives her. She continues pleading as Blanca can only shake her head in disbelief and gather her things to leave. She begs Blanca not to leave her alone as Blanca is going through the door. Blanca pauses. Ana says she needs her. Blanca still in tears turns and looks at her.

Robert and Julieta are at the doctor getting the test results. There is nothing to worry about. Julieta just has to take it easy. He has great news. Julieta says she is just so sleepy. The doctor says it is an uncommon symptom but has been known to occur. Julieta is about two weeks pregnant. She and Robert are shocked.
