Aurora is home, unaware she is on candid camera, when she has a visit form Matias’ wife. Romina shows up to visit, Robert drops everything, and he hauls -ass home!!

And I burst out laughing at your statement about checking out a husband's business is a wife's job--"just like having to clean his funky drawers."

I'm not sure that Aurora is stupid. I think she knows that Roberto has very serious problems, and I don't think she trusts him. But she's unsure what the right thing to do is. Too bad she's not reading CarayCaray--viewerville would set her straight!

Roberto got his feelings hurt, thwarted in his plot zing, when tried to create animosity between dad and Aurora, over naming EMILIO’S’ as the name of the new wine line!!! Rob is slick, and that sick evil mind is always working and instigating,

Nothing is left to chance with him, I have been remiss in not realizing this man is EVIL GENIUS, I thought he was neurotic abuser.

But he is borderline narcissistic: smart, cunning, Forethought and manipulative.
He is creative and constantly observing to order to revise and re-maneuver.
Always employing devious means and stealth strategy to destroy

Bob is always Machiavellian with those unibrows meeting and glaring like a snake...
Serial killer Bob!?? Robert, when it comes to wining is...’all- about- it’…, a chess master, always studying and playing his hand in ways to get an upper hand.
Got to give it to the devil’s step child, he is positioning folks in ways they don’t even realize.
Cynical and amoral because, he knows people are basically honest and guileless.
Robert must be a killer, so he plays to the death, he is willing to go there to win, like over your dead body!!

Why not ..if he is anything like Aurelio in Senor Cielos, he should gain an empire and run a corporation and become a big capitalist…

Paloma and Paco... just so stupid, fast-ass’, Paloma should have had Jordan ...’tighten -her-up’, before he left in town, and she wouldn’t be as ‘THIRSTY’ ,as she comes off for some ...!!

Juanjo and Luis, are trying to tighten their game/ new wine development.However,
Luis ,just doesn’t have the skill !!

Back home at the anniversary dinner, Aurora is fed the ..heck-up with her family over the animosity between the Montiel’s..blah !blah !... blee, blee.. !!

She refuses to sit with the [deep in denial]family ..
This female rebellion sets croissant /crisanto, off, on a tangent and he decide to charge the Montiel after all ,just to be spiteful!!


Later, Robert decides to insure Aurora’s conceiving another child by sabotaging all of the condom and he pokes holes into all of them…as he gleefully laughs. Aurora, I hope you get to observe crazy by camera someday…??!


Now I know men write this crap.. cause, like any normal women who has gone to her OBGYN and has received any type proper birth control instruction, let’s see: take two condoms ,place one on head /one over the whole, check for breaks,, apply lube…

He reflects on the blessing life is …this is his spiritual guiding post..

He never was able to record with CBS.. The executive revealed that talent wasn’t required only money. Payola, play to pay.. was order of the day…


Alberto is floating and gets involved with a drug addict…. The next phase of his life comes with terrible consequences…

He has a life alternating encounter with an rich bit*h ,addict whose husbands frames him as a drug user!! and a thief!!!

Well, the relationship between Aurora and Roberto gets much worse in tonight's episode. Furious that Aurora was alone in the elevator with Juanjo and didn't tell Roberto, he forces himself on Aurora, rapes her, and gives her a nasty bruise on her neck. I looks as though Telemundo is going to educate its viewers about marital rape. At least, I hope that's the way it will be dealt with. That's not the way Roberto sees it. "Nothing abnormal happened," he tells Aurora. "Just a married couple making love." Yeah, right.

[One editing glitch: we see Roberto do something to the left side of Aurora's neck that makes her scream in pain. But when she examines the bruise in the mirror the next morning, it's on her right side. Oops.]

Here are a few more things I remember from last night

Natalia doesn't care that Gaspar has a verbal agreement with Crisanto to buy wine from him. She goes to see Gaspar and makes him an offer. He says he'd love to, but he gave Crisanto his word. Pause. But he would reconsider on one condition: she show him her breasts. Natalia leaves, outraged. She gets into her car, accidentally backs into Crisanto's car. The two of them exchange words. She's furious at Crisanto, goes back to Gaspar, tells him to close the door, and shows him her breasts. He views them with apparent pleasure and then makes the deal with Natalia.

Gaspar tells Cris he won't buy the wine from him. Cris learns it's Natalia who has got Gaspar's order. Cris goes to see Natalia, telling her that this time, she's gone too far, that her lowering the price affects everyone. The coop people come to see Natalia and tell her much the same thing. They're outraged.

In addition to all the wine dealing, there were at least three other noteworthy events. One is an earthquake that traps Natalia and Juanjo in an elevator for quite a while. The earthquake also damages much of the Gran Reserva wine and all of the Bella Dama. Natalia can't fulfill Gaspar's order. Cris then makes Gaspar another offer, and he accepts.

Also, Luis and Anita are about to leave for Miami on a trip that Natalia has paid for. As the taxi arrives to take them to the airport, Anita starts to bleed. The taxi takes her to the hospital instead. As viewerville probably realized as soon as she said she was bleeding, she has lost the baby.

The third event is that during the earthquake, Roberto comes to the aid of the mayor (alcalde), who is in his car with what looks like a heart attack. Thanks to Roberto, the mayor is saved, and Roberto winds up on television as a hero. Dolores' brother Wilmer (the guy recently released from prison) sees him on TV, and Dolores tells him that that's her rotten boss.

And at the end of the episode, we have Roberto's violent rape of Aurora that I mentioned in an earlier posting. Even the next day, Roberto is unrepentent. He tells her "I married you to make love with you when I want. Or do you not want to make love with me? Are you thinking of Juanjo?" Rather than answer him, Aurora goes to change the baby's diaper. Roberto seethes.

Rob's abuse is a too much to digest. The wife rape and kitchen scenes prove he's testing the boundaries to see how much he can get away with. Despite saving the life of a (mayor?), he really has no redeeming qualities. Aurora would have to see this. Instead, one minute she's putting him in his place and the next she's weak and showing signs of emotional (and physical) abuse. I thought she had a strong support system and wouldn't take this but apparently she's influenced more by her old school parents. They've carried a grudge for years over Emelio's accident but are ignoring the snake in their midst. (At least we now know Juanjo will be redeemed from the curse of Emelio's death).

I never understood why Aurora visited Juanjo without Serena being there. Something else to lie about later. And Serena knows its a losing battle. Shame it involves her 2 best friends.

Looks like the guy with the tape of Roberto tampering with Juanjo's car was all set to blackmail him until he saw Juanjo. I still have a bad feeling about this one. I just hope no one destroys the evidence.

The writers are neglecting the other storylines. For the past month I thought Paco was a cheater but now I'm thinking Natalia's gonna cheat first, and not with her ex... And what is really happening with Luis and wife...so far their story is just too undeveloped and boring.

interesting how the evil in this story has a life of it's own as the characters infect those around them only to have it come back on them.

also a bit strange that Aurora is trying to ride out the storm with Roberto when it only keeps getting worse, considering her three closest allies, Serena, Juanjo and Paloma see right through him, and even Aurora's family would jump on Rob if they knew he was hurting her, yes Rob is pushing the limits.

hmm, Nat gets a $500,000 plus contract, with her winery that has what? an office, an oversize pickup, 6 barrels of wine, an imaginary harvester, and sells all their grapes to Cris, insurance ?? they sell earthquake insurance in California?

yeah Wilmer, is that really a guys name?, was looking for Roberto, but now he knows how to find him, this family is on the road to hell, not seeing any improvements any time soon.

Great comments, Spanish Student and deb. Spanish Student, I too have found the portrayal of Aurora perplexing, for just the reason you cite: "one minute she's putting him in his place and the next she's weak and showing signs of emotional (and physical) abuse." I can't decide whether this portrayal is deliberate or just the result of inconsistent writing.

I still think Paco is going to make a move on Paloma. Perhaps I'm just prejudiced by having seen Miguel de Miguel in several other roles, always as a villain. As for Natalia, she perplexes me almost as much as Aurora does. One minute Natalia is determined and hard as nails, while the next minute she's listless and depressed. And I have a hard time taking either Luis or Anita seriously.

Yes, Wilmer is a guy's name. I googled it, because I thought I remembered a public figure many years ago with that name. I couldn't find any mention of him, but I did see lots of mentions of a very good-looking actor/singer/etc./etc. named Wilmer Valderrama. I'd never heard of him, but I don't keep up. Wikipedia has a photo and entry about him here.

anyone get the text message Wilmer sent Rob? liked how it freaked him, but in the flashback to hearing about the wreck Rob looked upset at the outcome.

Paloma was doing inventory at the wine store when Roberto showed and took over, there was a number of bottles with stained labels that she didn't put on the list, he sold them to a local restaurant, put the money in my account, he says.

did we miss something on Aurora's car, Rob talked to her insurance adjuster, put her insurance under his name and had the claim check put into his account, later giving Aurora the runaround and tough times, we can't afford another car right now, you'll just have to hitch rides with others.

Aurora is cracking.

Roberto even got to Serena, taking Aurora's sloppy seconds, was the english translation.

Nat thinks Luis and Anita are in Miami, but they are home, right?

Aurora did take the day-after pill, when Rob found the receipt and asked what she had done, she said she took a pain killer.

when I watched the first episode, the wreck, Juanjo looked up and there was a tractor in front of him, he swerved and there was the vehicle he hit, I'm not seeing where tampering caused the accident, but maybe they will show us some more.

I was dinking around on the Telemundo site today and any video I brought up, the captions were in english, hmm.

Thanks so much for the very helpful recap, deb. I found the exchange between Paloma and Roberto confusing, but you cleared it up. As for Wilmer's text message to Roberto, it said "You killed Emilio Casteñeda."

I didn't understand the conversation Roberto had with the guy about Aurora's car. Why did Roberto have the insurance put in his name? So Aurora wouldn't find out that there hadn't been all that much damage to the car? Clearly, Roberto's motive was to make her do without a car and to depend on him to take her places (and thus to know where she goes, and probably to prevent her seeing Juanjo).

I can understand Aurora's not completing the denuncio against Roberto. The cop she spoke with essentially told her that the nasty bruise on her neck wasn't sufficient evidence of rape (but what about just plain domestic violence?). But why didn't she at least show the bruise to her parents? Is it clear that Aurora took the day-after pill? I know she bought them, but I feared that perhaps Roberto took the box from her before she had a chance to take one. It may have been clear in the dialogue, but much of that went right by me.

Yes, I'm pretty sure that Luis and Anita never went to Miami and instead stayed in California. I find I have almost no interest in that part of the novela.

"Sloppy seconds?" That sounds more British than American, but perhaps it's simply an expression I've never heard. What I've usually heard is "to play second fiddle," or "to be a second choice."

I was going to quote some of my favorites, but I found I'd probably wind up with a very long posting. :-) Let me just say that I liked what you said about the way the show was supposed to be in California but ignored all the policies in place there to deal with domestic violence. And I loved your statement "and if this show has Juanjo saving her its more bullsh*t!!" I suspect we're in for exactly that kind of BS, but I may be wrong (it's been known to happen). Every now and then Telemundo surprises me.

In the meantime, I too am enjoying the way Wilmer is freaking Roberto out, though of course that could wind up being dangerous to all sorts of innocent people.

Wilmer's revenge is the best thing going right now. I don't like that they made Aurora, who started out strong and still shows some of that, get so beaten down by Roberto that she can't leave him. Maybe it's more realistic given her parents but I don't like it. She had to deal with Cris knocking her capability at every turn, and now her mother can't see that there is a real problem with her daughter and the jerk she married doesn't deserve respect. I wish she had stopped hiding the bruises and shown Meche, but no. I won't be sad if Rob takes everything from Cris and Meche. Aurora would be justified in being petty and saying told you so. Too bad her dad doesn't listen, because she should be getting the business audited now that she knows the truth of Rob's character.

I don't think we know if she took the morning after pill. Besides everything else, she should have fought harder to get those back. Might be interesting to see if they have her get a abortion and be glad for it. The show has a hetero cross-dresser, so why not abortion? Cross all the usual boundaries, Show!

Deb, maybe Roberto tampered with the brakes and that was the real cause of the crash.

Roberto tries to control Aurora by taking away her car yet it's all the more reason for her to stay with her parents. I just hope their attitudes don't send her back. At this point i'll feel cheated if she doesn't come up with a Plan B, C, D, etc... For now she KNOWS that he cannot be trusted, and she knows that she doesn't love him. Strategize or at least WATCH him.

Halimacandy...the clueless protagonist is a definite type in novelas, which is why they're usually victims. I agree that her Herstory should be about her personal victory, not Juanjo saving the day. We can all agree that she should be woke right now. Rob's not even looking for forgiveness anymore, just dominance. Yes it was very clear that she was gonna leave that police station. I hope she speaks directly to Susan.

I missed whatever Sara said that was disrespectful...

And Wilmer does have me worried by being so visible and staring at Roberto. Of course he can use Dolores as an excuse for being around.

I was surprised by Juanjo's control during the argument with Roberto. Despite what Rob said, Juanjo's silence did not mean that Rob was right (of course we know he his) about the pending love triangle. I'm guessing that Juanjo saw how Rob was incapable of taking the high road and instead chose to antagonize and create division from the first second. Another reason for him to worry about Aurora. Of course Serena probably didn't see it that way.

I was expecting Wilmer to get a little clumsy but no, so far I like his moves. Rob's getting a taste of his own medicine...Torture.

Still not understanding Anita. Is she a keeper or a deceiver. No sé.

Cris has officially been warned. Rob, forever with an alibi, owned up to selling wines illegally. An illegal business transaction without his consent should be enough to at least make him pay attention to Rob. You can't not pay attention these days...those demons have him behaving erratically. The actor's expressions are hilarious.

When Cris divided up his company, didn't he give larger shares to his children? So do they need to justify questioning Rob's decisions?

Emilio, anyway Cris has the last word, Paloma quit the store, she won't be under Roberto (of course Cris is closing the store because the loses were so high, as reported by Roberto).

interesting talk with Leo where Cris said 'WE' sold the 500+ bottles of wine that the adjuster claimed as a loss.

love the way Susan runs her cop shop, she's on to Roberto's abuse, her viewpoint, people that are abused should find the law as their friends.

Serena, I really like this character, are the writers pushing her into a corner, as Juanjo is tipped to the problems of Aurora, "if he hurts her I will kill him".

I loved Wilmer's tormenting Roberto via text message. And not just text message--he has figured out that Roberto is trying to track him, so he leaves his cell phone in front of one of the huge Emilio posters. And at the end of the episode, as Roberto is trying to get someone to help him identify the owner of the phone, he gets yet another message from Wilmer: "You like playing cat and mouse? So do I." But I do have one question: what was Wilmer doing peering into the back of Juanjo's truck when Juanjo and Candi went to the police station?

Roberto is really amazingly good at making his evil doings seem both harmless and well-intended. I was astonished when he readily admitted to Cris that he sold the wine. His excuse: the company needs the money, no one will know, the money was put into my private account, and I will write a check so that we can buy new tanques to replace the damaged ones. And no, he wasn't lying to Aurora, he just wanted to surprise her with a new car. Yeah, right. The guy really is slick. Make that "s(l)ick."

Interesting discussion between Cris and Leo. Was Cris saying that no one takes his vineyard seriously and he still feels like a nobody?

I knew Aurora’s complaint wasn’t gonna go well when I saw that the officer was a man. Sorry Too many of the guys in this show are from the stone ages.

Disappointed that the writers are turning aurora into such a weak and not so smart Chica. Regardless of Robs success with duping Chris last night.... she needs to wise up.
