Papa a Toda Madre #1 1.15.18: Be Careful Who You Marry

Memories are in italics...

On a yacht in the middle of the ocean, playboy and professional party animal, Mauricio Lopez-Garza (Sebastian Rulli), pops open a bottle of champagne with a sword and romances women by giving them a gold necklace with an “M” on it (not for marriage, oh no, he doesn’t do that) but so his conquests always remember his name. This is only his weekends though…

During the weekdays, he holds board meetings at Logatoys to propose new toys. His latest proposal is a replica of the very same yacht he was partying on all weekend. However, Fabian Carvajal (Mark Tacher), the general manager of Logatoys and Mauricio’s best friend, notes the obvious problem (that Mauricio can’t seem to comprehend): the model for said toy would cost the company a lot of money and, therefore, it would cost a lot to mass produce said toy. If this is the case, Logatoys would have to charge consumers a lot of money for it but most of their consumers don’t have said amount of money or a pool to play with the yacht. Mauricio, however, thinks the children could play with the giant yacht in the bathtub and be done with it. He asks the Logatoys lawyer, Jorge Turrubiates (Sergio Mur), to gather all the permits so they can reconvene in a couple of weeks. Jorge asks for a more concrete date, but Mauricio directs any further questions to Fabian. Once alone, Fabian tries to tell Mauricio that things at Logatoys aren’t on the up and up, but Mauricio is sure the upcoming “Child Day” will boast sales and they have nothing to worry about.

Across the city, in a college classroom, Renee Sanchez Moreno (Maite Perroni), is presenting her semester project, which aims at minimizing the time women spend on household chores, so they can pursue other interests. All her male classmates laugh, because they expect their wives to be housewives all their lives, except one man, who comes in halfway through the presentation and stands in the back to observe, quietly. After Renee has finished her presentation, her teacher, Wilma Hernandez (Sandra Beltran), asks the class if they have any questions. The man in the back stands up and bombards Renee with several scenarios and questions but Renee stops him cold and asks him if he has any serious questions. Wilma gets between them and introduces the man as Alejandro Villasenor (Pablo Cruz Guerrero), an engineer in mechatronics who recently was hired at a prestigious company and is looking for new talent. Wilma chides Alejandro for interrupting her star pupil, Renee, so he smiles and extends his hand in apology, which Renee shakes but doesn’t smile back.

Sometime later, Renee arrives home to her periwinkle blue home and tells her mother, Catalina Moreno (Leticia Perdigon), that they should have enough money for the time being, but they need to make it last longer than before as they still have plenty of debts. Catalina is more interested in talking about Alejandro though Renee thinks he’s annoying. Catalina is happy Renee met a man, any man, as she hopes she gets to see her married and with grandchildren soon. Renee doesn’t think it’s so easy, especially being a mother, but Catalina reminds her that she was a single mother and she did great; she thinks Renee would be an even better mother since she went to college. Renee smiles and thanks her for everything she did for her but being a mother is not in her future plans. Catalina is sad that Renee wouldn’t want a family, but Renee thinks that she would need to be really in love, with a man who respects her career, to want to get married and have a family. She then gives Catalina a kiss on the cheek leaves.

Months later, during a Logatoys board meeting, Tono Barrientos (Raul Araiza), the systems engineer, explains that they need a bigger digital presence, or they will lose out to the competition. Fabian agrees and asks Mauricio for his opinion, but Mauricio is snoring loudly. Fabian slams down a folder to wake him up and then empties the board room so he can tell Mauricio the hard, cold truth: sales are at an all time low and one of their most popular toys, the bungee cord, was taken off the market by the Department of Health and Safety. Mauricio thinks they will sell a record number of toys on Christmas and then shows Fabian some semi- nude pictures of his latest conquest. Fabian demands Mauricio focus as the demand for their toys is down 60% and they are barely covering the costs of production. He asks Mauricio for a solution, but Mauricio shrugs his shoulders as he still thinks they will be fine. Fabian nods but demands Mauricio be present at the Christmas dinner tomorrow, to make up for the fact that he wasn’t at the anniversary dinner, and make sure morale is up. Mauricio, however, refuses to share the table with kids and poor people. Fabian, however, strongly suggests he show up and pretend he cares, for once, as they need their employees by their side to survive.

The next day, at the Christmas party, Veronica Valencia (Veronica Jaspeado), finds her husband, Tono, to tell him about the rumors going around Logatoys: the company won’t survive another year. She hopes to as Jorge for more information, soon, as she hoped to be hired full-time, but Tono thinks she’s being ridiculous. Either way, he prefers she stay at home and take care of the children and Veronica nods. She does ask Tono not to mention the Orlando trip anymore lest their children get their hopes up. Tono nods and then they go control their three children: Tania, Ernesto, and Fidel, who almost knock over the Christmas tree like they did last year. Veronica prefers a heavy hand with them but Tono has another tactic: stop rough housing or the Orlando trip is cancelled. At this, the children immediately stop what they are doing but Veronica chides Tono for mentioning the trip after she asked him not to. At that moment, Neuron Machuca (Juan Carlos Barreto), arrives solo and Veronica asks about Renee and Catalina. Neron explains that Catalina didn’t feel well, and Renee decided to study but he came out of habit as he is almost retired and wants to enjoy the few parties he has left. Tono smiles and notes that now he will have plenty of time to spend with his new lady friend. Neron smiles wide, as he thought his secret was well kept, but refuses to disclose any more information no matter how hard Tono and Veronica try.

A few feet away, Mauricio comes into the party, drunk as a skunk, with two women on his arms, much to Fabian’s dismay. Fabian chides him for coming to the party in this way, but Mauricio thinks the “peasants” should be honored that the owner of Logatoys is there with them. He then declares that the music is in poor taste and runs to the radio to change it. He begins to dance but stops short when he sees a woman, Gladys (Barbara Torres, who seems like a party pooper, looking at him. He grabs his two women and runs off into the party as Fabian turns down the music.

Jorge and his wife, Dulce, arrive at the party then with their two oldest children—Valentina, and Samuel (who are both on their phone and super annoyed)—and Dulce comments that if everything goes well with her new client, Isauro Ventura, she will be able to change her old car for a brand new one. Jorge doesn’t think she should take the case though as her new client is a known criminal and narco, but Dulce is unwilling to let him go. She reminds Jorge that, according to his God, everyone deserves a second chance and storms off.

As Fabian tries to stop Mauricio from getting on stage in his condition to make a speech, Mauricio insists that he must make a speech just like his father used to. Just then, he turns on the microphone by accident and everyone hears how he plans to talk about those cheesy things his father used to talk about like peace and family. Everyone stops short as Mauricio sticks his foot further down his mouth by stating that he would hate to be a family man, full of children, waking up to the same woman every day. He then calls all children present ugly before noticing that the microphone has been on the whole time. He cringes and tries to salvage the situation by stating that it was a joke, but everyone is frowning ang shaking their heads. Mauricio continues to talk but he can barely remember his speech and knocks over the Christmas tree, in his drunken stupor, before falling into the ball pit. Fabian can only shake his head at the disaster he will now have to clean up.

Days later, Mauricio goes car shopping with one of his conquests, but he finds that his credit card he gave the representative is declined as are the rest of his cards. He calls Fabian to ask what happened but Fabian repeats what he has been saying from the beginning: Logatoys is in ruins. At the board meeting, sometime later, Mauricio can’t believe Logatoys is one step away from bankruptcy though everyone knows it’s all his fault because he spent his money frivolously and completely. Jorge reminds Mauricio that the money they did have was invested incorrectly but Mauricio doesn’t want to hear excuses, he wants results, ASAP. He dismisses everyone then and demands they find a solution to their problems.

That night, Renee helps Veronica with her groceries and Veronica congratulates her on following her dreams when she didn’t. Veronica then asks if she has a boyfriend and Renee admits that there is a man trying to win her over, which she likes, but can’t decide what she feels for him. Veronica thinks that she must like him, if she’s still considering him, and tells her to give him a chance as it seems he is supportive of her career. Renee asks if Tono wasn’t and Veronica explains that he support her when they were younger but when they were married things changed. Renee wants to know more but Veronica reminds her that times were different thing and that’s that.

Over dinner in his apartment, Mauricio tells Fabian that he is going to find new investor for Logatoys, but Fabian reminds him that he hates kids, so he shouldn’t even be the president and CEO of Logatoys. Mauricio promises to change and be more invested and proposes that they throw a party to get potential investors. Fabian suggests he cut costs, like his expensive car, but Mauricio prefers his plan though, when he tries one of his many toys, it breaks a vase, proving he sucks at what he’s doing.

As Veronica cleans up the house, Tono watches TV in the living room. She asks him to help her get the kids to the bathroom, so they can go to sleep but Tono asks for another 30 minutes. He suggests she go shower with Ernesto and Fidel and he will help Tania later. She chides him for always being too laid back but Tono barely pays attention as a player scores a goal.

Days later, Mauricio takes potential investors through a tour of Logatoys, but he can barely keep up the charade of being close with his employers when he asks Neron about his wife, who has been dead for three years. Mauricio plays it off and declares that everyone at Logatoys is a big family before asking Neron to come with him on the tour. Mauricio then stops in front of the assembly line, where someone is fixing one of the machines, and asks Neron for the name of the employee fixing it. Nero tells him it’s Renee but Mauricio, not knowing this Renee is a woman, slaps her in the butt and asks her to get the assembly line started. Renee turns around, removes her glasses and helmet, and lets her hair tumble freely to her shoulders. Mauricio is surprised that she’s a woman, and can barely remember when he approved unisex uniforms, but asks Renee to please start up the assembly line. Renee declares that this is not her job, so Mauricio tries to do it himself though Renee and Neron stop him as he is going to cause a power outage. Mauricio declares that he knows how to work everything but this piece of machinery and asks Renee to help. Renee obliges, and Mauricio tells his investors that everyone that works at Logatoys is extremely effective and efficient. Renee can barely hold up her fake smile as Mauricio pinches her cheek.

Sometime later, Mauricio arrives at the testing area full of children and can barely contain his annoyance at their loud antics. He powers through and tells his investors that children are the base of their company and the future and present of it. One of the investors asks about his long-term sustainability and Fabian steps in to say they are working on it and only need to air out some details. Mauricio smiles as one child comes over and asks him to take him to the bathroom. Mauricio asks the child for his mother, but the child insists that he needs to go now. One of the investors, noticing Mauricio’s obvious discomfort, states that he doesn’t have much faith in the future of Logatoys. Mauricio, however, declares he is confident in his ability to steer the company successful and gives the child money to go away. The investor is appalled, and Mauricio explains that he meant it as a tip because the child is a perfect Logatoys child. The child declares that he still must go pee and pulls so hard on Mauricio’s sleeve that he spills his water. Mauricio screams that he never wants to see him again and the child runs away as everyone looks at him appalled.

Moments later, all the investors leave the company as they cannot fathom how Mauricio treats children and his own clients. Mauricio tries to salvage the situation, but Fabian asks him to stop embarrassing himself. Mauricio storms off with Fabian in tow as Gladys, having witness the whole spectacle, rolls her eyes from her desk.

In his office, Mauricio tells Fabian that they need to come up with a strategy to get at least one investor. He decides on Fairbanks, the balding man who was appalled by his actions, and asks Fabian to find his weakness they get close to him and get his investment. Fabian doubts this will work, unless they become spies like when they were younger, and leaves to see if there are any investors left. Mauricio, however, thinks being a spy is perfect and then picks up the picture of his mother on his desk. He tells her that, despite all the years that have passed, he still misses her greatly…

Mauricio remembers running around the Logatoys factory with Fabian when they were younger. He remembers being enthralled by all the toys and drawings and playing spies with Fabian. Fabian was always wary but Mauricio was always ready for an adventure. On one of these adventures, they found the same machinery Mauricio tried to start but Renee stopped him from doing. Fabian didn’t want to touch it but Mauricio did and it caused all the lights in the factory to light up and the assembly line to start working. After the initial wonder and amazement, the lights began to flicker and a short circuit caused a fire at the assembly line. Fabian ran away immediately but Mauricio started to watch.

Neither one of his parents realized he was missing until the fire had already started. His mother, Aurora (Eugenia Cauldron) saw the fire and ran to go find him while his father, Bosco (Eugenio Montessoro), who had been distracted with a celebration, saw Fabian and asked him about Mauricio’s whereabouts. Fabian couldn’t say one word and Bosco ran off after Aurora, who had run into the fiery factory to save her son. Bosco could not reach Aurora in time and cried as he realized she had perished in the flames. Mauricio, who had already left the factory, called out to his father, not realizing the tragedy he had just caused.

After the funeral, Bosco tried to console Mauricio, who blamed himself for everything, by telling him it was an accident. Mauricio, however, only wanted to see his mother again and Bosco tried his best to make his son feel better but could not. Instead, he forced Mauricio to go to a prestigious boarding school, to help him heal, but it did anything but...

Mauricio cries at his desk and tells his mother that he still misses her greatly. Just then, Fabian walks in and tells him all the investors left before asking Mauricio why he is crying. Mauricio admits that he was thinking about their parents and is happy to see they are still friends, after everything. He then promises, on the memory of his mother that Logatoys will not perish and leaves with Fabian in tow.

That night, Mauricio and Fabian are waiting for Mr. Fairbanks to see if they can convince him to invest in the company. Fabian suggests they sell the company, as he doubts Mr. Fairbanks will invest, but Mauricio will demonstrate to everyone that he can make the company successful again. Just then, Mr. Fairbanks walks down the stairs with a beautiful woman on his arm and Mauricio and Fabian hide behind the stairwell. They think it’s his date but the woman is actually his daughter, Miranda (Estefania Ahumada), and Fabian chides Mauricio for always thinking the worse. Mauricio has a big smile on his face because he now knows how to save the company.

The one dating a younger woman, despite his age, is Neron. Post coitus, his girlfriend, Flor (Michelle Gonzalez), asks if he can sleep over because his house is closer to her job. Neron accepts and Flor then starts to look for her lipstick. Neron takes out a plastic bag from a drawer in the nightstand and tells her that he grabbed all the things she had left around the house, including the lipstick, and put it in the bag. Flor frowns and tells him not to worry because she will get all her things right now and he will never see them again. As she storms off, he tries to call her back, oblivious to the havoc he just caused.

Over dinner, Catalina tells Renee to give Alejandro an opportunity as he’s a catch and even supports her career. She just doesn’t want Renee to be lonely all her life, especially after she passes. Renee considers this but she prefers to focus on her career.

Sometime later, when they are both dressed, Neron asks Flor what happened. Flor is mad that Neron has not presented her to his neighbors and Neron admits he’s embarrassed because he’s much older than her. Flor tells him that she loves that about him and loves how safe he makes her feel. After a moment, she tells him that she’s been dying to have a child together but Neron shakes his head and tells her that he already had kids with his deceased wife and he’s not about that anymore. Flor wonders what he wants her for then but Neron doesn’t answer.

The next morning, Fabian calls Mauricio to tell him about his master plan and Fabian suggests he hurry because their company is sinking. Just then, Miranda walks in and Mauricio coyly follows her into the elevator and changes the music. She smiles and he strikes up a conversation with her before exiting the elevator. Sometime later, Miranda walks out of her room in running gear and Mauricio tries his hardest to make her smiles, which she does and they go running together, despite the fact that he’s in a suit.

In her classroom, Renee asks Wilma to be her Thesis Advisor. Wilma happily accepts and then leaves as Alejandro walks in. He smiles when he sees Renee and invites her to dinner, which she can’t deny as the semester is over. Renee smiles, accepting.

Sometime later, Mauricio sees Miranda coming into the hotel and lays down on the hotel floor. Miranda walks in and goes over to him to see what is wrong. She tries to wake him up and smiles when he sees her. He gets up, invites her to dinner and Miranda accepts. He leads her to the banquet hall of the hotel and she smiles when she sees the whole room adorned with lit candles, just for her. They sit down and eat.

Veronica finishes getting dressed at home and demands Fidel gets up ASAP, as they have to go. She tells Tono that she will take Tania to ballet and pick up Ernesto from his play date and asks him if Mauricio got an investor or if Jorge said something but Tono suggests she stop being paranoid as everything is fine. He then shows her different packages for Orlando but Veronica is scared that she will lose her job and they will have financial troubles. Tono shrugs this off and Veronica leaves.

Jorge and his children are at mass when Dulce arrives. She stands at the door and Jorge motions for her to come in but she hesitates. He goes outside and chides her for being late but Dulce is tired of only being a wife and mother and wants to have a career as well. Jorge reminds her that he is the breadwinner and takes care of them but Dulce shakes her head and goes inside as the priest declares that a household needs a father and mother, to prop each other up, and care for their children. At this, Jorge nods.

Neron walks around the neighborhood with Catalina and he notes that she looks more pale than usual. She explains that it’s because of the age and asks him not to tell Renee because she worries too much. She does tell him to give Flor another chance as he doesn’t look as happy as he did when she was around. Neron considers this and Catalina reminds him that he is going to retire soon and he doesn’t have to be lonely.

Mauricio tells Miranda that he was born to be monogamous and she loves that and the fact that he makes her laugh. Miranda is wary, as men will do anything to gain the love of a beautiful woman, but Mauricio argues that she makes him want to get married and settle down. Miranda is suspicious, as she thinks he only wants her as a trophy wife, and storms off because she’s tired of being admired and not loved.

Sometime later, Miranda goes to the checkout desk and finds Mauricio waiting for her. She thought they were done but Mauricio explains that he was wants her in his life though Miranda thinks it’s to have kids and that’s it. Mauricio shakes his head as he hates kids and Miranda smiles before leaving. Mauricio cringes but stops when Miranda turns around and declares that she also hates kids. He goes to her and they smile before kissing, deeply. Just then, Mr. Fairbanks arrives, shocked to see them together, and Mauricio tells him the excellent news.

Alejandro arrives at Renee’s house and they sit down to talk. He is happy she accepted his offer to have dinner, after months of trying, and Renee asks if he wants anything to drink. Alejandro shakes his head and declares that he loves spending time with her and looking at himself in her eyes. Renee loves to have him as a friend but Alejandro is taken aback as he thought of her as something more. Renee thinks he’s a great guy and Alejandro smiles before asking her if she wants to be his girlfriend, as he doesn’t want there to be any confusion between them. Renee considers this but is quiet.
Months later, however, she is getting fitted for a wedding gown so it seems she accepted and all is going well. Catalina couldn’t be happier, as her dream for Renee is coming true, though Veronica knows Renee’s heart is not in it. Renee thinks it is just nerves, as Alejandro has supported her career fully and will continue to do so, and Veronica nods. Just then, Wilma calls Renee to tell her she’s on the way to the church and some more good news that makes Renee cheer.

Another wedding is about to commence as well: Mauricio’s wedding to Miranda Fairbanks though he didn’t have the courtesy to invite any employee from Logatoys and it is taking place at the same time as Renee’s. Mauricio could care less as he has achieved his ultimate goal: a beautiful woman for a wife and an investor for the company though Mr. Fairbanks wants grandchildren, much to Mauricio’s chagrin, soon. Fabian then goes over to congratulate Mauricio, who confesses that he actually loves Miranda, for saving the company but doesn’t believe a word out of his mouth.

At the same time, Catalina walks Renee into the church but they run into Alejandro, who couldn’t wait to see her. Catalina walks ahead as Renee shares her good news: she got accepted at the University of Maryland’s Masters Program. Alejandro is shocked by the news as she never shared her plans with him and Renee wonders why as she always told him she wanted to study. Alejandro supported her because he thought her bachelor’s degree would be enough to help her move on but, as his wife, she would be dedicated to him, completely. Renee is completely confused but Alejandro reiterates that he wants a wife, not a roommate who is always studying. He then smiles wide and kisses her forehead before going back to the altar. Renee is still bewildered.

Moments later, Renee walks inside the church and looks around before focusing on Alejandro. He smiles wide but she slightly frowns as she looks at him, wondering if this is the man she wants for a husband.

At Mauricio’s wedding, Miranda accepts to marry him. The priest then asks Mauricio if he accepts but he doesn’t get to answer because a little girl screams, “Father!” Mauricio turns around and looks at the girl, completely and utterly, shocked…

Alfredo, I did not realize this was starting already , so I appreciate the recap. Thank you !

Alfredo, thank you for your comprehensive recap complete with the actors' names to get us off to a great start.

This was fun. It looks like I will just be able to just sit back and enjoy the silliness. I enjoyed seeing Sebastián Rulli in a comic role which I never have before.

Alfredooooo the man..Thanks Bud. I shouldn't like Rulli just because of his looks, but now I have an excuse, (in this TN, anyway) what a shithead.

There are so many familiar faces here. Luisa from our dearly departed Ramoon, Quirky Sonia from Vino, Adal from all over, Mark Thatcher, Maite,

Susy, Jarifa, my, my imagine running into you guys here.! Plenty of empty seats here on the patio everybody.

kj

Kirby: Who are the protagonists & antagonists in this TN ?

You really are amazing Alfredo.

You truly spun straw into gold. Other than immediately understanding Mauricio is a totally self-absorbed, selfish jerk, much of the plotline was over my head. Thank you for explaining everything so carefully and completely.

I can already tell Raul Araiza Veronica Jaspeado (who have always been high on my list) will be my favorites. Veronica? A smart woman who doesn't seem to comprehend how beautiful and intelligent she is. These will be a fun couple!

"Renee wonders why as she always told him she wanted to study. Alejandro supported her because he thought her bachelor’s degree would be enough to help her move on but, as his wife, she would be dedicated to him, completely". Ack. So much sour already. Maite's spunk is already showing.

It takes me some time to learn who everyone is, but you made the plot crystal clear. Hates kids, hates adults, hates work, hates responsibility. The self centered Mo has miles to go.

Susanlynn, Jarifa, Kirby and Steve, see that we've seemlessly moved over to the new patio. I'm sure we will have a lot of fun here.

Alfredo, thanks for the excellent summary!

Diana

Wikipedia and Google Steve. I'm still figuring it out.

Diana did you see Maite in 'Better dead than Liticia'? I didn't think she was smoldering like some of the girls we have seen lately, but an excellent actress.
I am convinced she did her own stunt work falling into the pool.

Correction, above Raul not Adal.
I didn't follow how Maite (Renee) knows Veronica (Veronica) as they don't work together. I hopeo Sofia from Vino begins to rear her pretty head in this one.

I have to give it to Rulli, the look on his face as the little girl called out to him was the best I have ever seen on him. If you didn't know better you'd have thought it was Boyer walking in on that wedding.

"seemlessly moved over to the new patio. I'm sure we will have a lot of fun here." Fabi who?

Wow Alfredo, what a detailed recap! Haven't seen this yet but feel like I don't need to (except Rulli is so gorgeous, of course I will check in later). Sounds like our main guy is going to have to undergo a profound character transformation though. At present, he's, well, a total d......

Skipping morning exercise class to shovel driveway again. My husband's Prius is like a hockey puck on any kind of ice and snow. Kirby, your pelican? looks cozy and warm. We're below zero here. Good times in the Midwest!

Sounds like this will be another fun Patio, and possibly an amusing story indeed. Can't get worse than Enamorandome can it? Fingers crossed.

Well, now I have to remember that the show I am now watching is on at 9.00 instead of 7.00. I did not watch last night, but I will be there tonight.

Snowing here again...meh.

I still remember the first time I saw RUlli as a young blacksmith in PAsion.William Levy was also in PAsion. It might have been the first telenovela for both of them. They both had long hair. Levy's was a wig, but think that it might have been Rulli's actual hair.

Whoops....please excuse the double post..it has been a weird morning here with the snow and the roads ....., #ihatewintersomuch

Thanks JudyB. Hmmm surprised about the Prius, is it just too light? I had a brand spanking new Corvette years ago in St. Louis, and decided it cheaper to just go buy a second "snow" car. Even a light snow was higher than the chassis of that low slung plastic toy. I didn't graduate up to 4 wheel drive trucks until later.

I'm surprised to see people going to exercise class for so many years. If pilot class took as many ears the aviation industry would still be on step past the Wrights. :-)

BTW White Ibis.

Yes, it is good to see all of the familiar faces on the patio and for a comedy!!!! I am so ready for a nice and goofy novela.

The only really heavy part was Mauricio's mother dying because of the accident and they made that good and short.

JudyB, we are cold but not much snow here this a.m. and the sun is out. Snow that has to be shoveled is never a good thing. I don't mind the cold just the snow.

Susanlynn, sorry to hear about your snow. One good thing is that it is already the middle of January.

Adding to the list of those who have been recently seen in other novelas, the actress playing Flor was a prostitute in La candidata.

Kirby, the ibis does look all nice and warm so I am thinking that you are from some place nice and warm.

Diana, I, too, was happy to see Verónica Jaspeado. I also like the girl they picked to play Mauricio's daughter. No shrinking violet there. I enjoyed Maite Perrone in Antes muerta que Lichita and she looks like she will also be good here.

Hello all and welcome! Thank you for joining me on this journey.

Well, the first episode set up the main conflicts and already got the story going so that's greatly appreciated.

JudyB, I loved seeing Rulli as something other than the valient galan or dashing, rich man. He played the part well and, yes, his face at the end was priceless.

Kirby, Renee lives in the same neighborhood "cul-de-sac" with her mother, Neron, Jorge, Dulce, Tono and Veronica. THey all work at Logatoys as well, except for Catalina and Dulce, and see to regularly see each other at work functions and through the neighborhood.

Perroni also held her own and I'm glad she is at least a college student going for her master's and not a doe-eyed college freshman. Strong woman theme is going strong in this one, Susanlynn!

Diana, it took a while but I appreciated that they dropped us in the middle of the conflicts and not before. The crucial scenes were there and the actors are going a great job thus far.

I think the main argument is interesting...do you lose yourself when you get married and have kids? I think this is truer of women than men but then you have the argument, can single dads or superdads be good dads?

I appreciated that while Tono wasn't supportive of Veronica's character completely, he wasn't completely pigheaded. I think he was more oblivious than anything. I doubt Renee will marry Alejandro after his comment but it goes to show, no one shows their true colors until the ink is dry.

I'm dying to know (should it ever come up) how Dulce and Jorge got together. He is so pious and by-the-book while Dulce is more gray and w.e. flows your boat type of woman. How did those two even fall in love?

Okay...the workaholic strong woman who doesn't want kids meets the party animal playboy who doesn't want kids. Say it with me class..finale = white wedding and kiddles.

Jarifa, you are right about the tragic accident that took Mauricio's mother. thank god it wasn't graphic. I think it was meant to highlight that he never really grew up because of this and is content to keep being, essentially, a "big kid." Also, it's in tune with the "can single dads be good fathers?" Bosco didn't seem evil or nonchalant but I didn't think he knew how to deal with the situation properly.

I don't think Renee doesn't want kids, per se, but she won't lose herself to kids. She wants to find a man who can help her be both. I think they can be Robert and Julieta (from Mi Marido) if they compromise and learn that you can have it all, it just takes a lot of work.

Steve, the protagonists are Sebastian Rulli and Maite Perroni. I don't know about main villains yet as no one has been an overt threat thus far. Maybe Miranda Fairbanks?

Yeah, these days , everyone wants to " have it all" , but in reality, life involves a lot of compromises. Nothing is ever perfect . Something\someone sometimes has to give.

Jarifa, yes, Sarasota, FloriDuh. NIce and warm by the standards of the people I saw on the National news this morning. Brrrr freezing by our standards. 10:30 and only 65 out there.

Kirby, love the Ibis.

I don't think I've missed Maite in anything except La Gata (shudder) :)

She is real and very believable. Agree with you that she is a good actress. The part she did that broke my heart was Mi Pecado (with the incredible Daniela Castro).

Rulli? "At present, he's, well, a total d......". I'm still laughing Judy - great line! I agree with you and Susanlynn that the man is good looking. Extremely so.

I think comedy is very difficult to do. So far, Rulli seems to be doing well. And he hit the right notes with still mourning for his mother. (Eugenia Calderon in too brief a cameo). But totally agree Jarifa, we got the background story quickly without lingering...I agree with your thought Mauricio is like a little boy lost Alfredo.

So glad I peeked in. Back to work.

Diana

Diana, Maite's best role, IMHO, has been Mi Pecado. The story pushed her and Daniela Castro to the limits and they delivered, beautifully. The cast was very good in that one, except for Armando Araiza, Raul Araiza's brother (Tono here), who was too over the top.

It's great to see more novelas dealing with more modern concerns and here the main "couple" even knows each other before the TN starts. It will be fun to see how each warm up to the other as they surely bond in the future.

Good Morning!!! AAA, thank you SO much for starting us out! Great summation of the initial episode and I really appreciate you telling us who is who!

Yay, patio is looking great already and the entertaining comments are bursting out!!

Other than "Luisa from our dearly departed Ramoon, Quirky Sonia from Vino, Mark Thatcher, and Eugenia Cauldron, I have't seen any of the other actors so it'lll be nice reading yoru comments about their previous work.

I agree with Kirby's and JudyB's description of Mauricio, "shithead" and "a total d......", respectively LOL

This TN is off to a great start, I do hope it continues.

More later, chores and errands to run before the the colder temps and rain gets here.

Alfredo, I think you have called it correctly with Toño. He is just in his own world and probably has never thought any farther than that.

Kirby, Florida sounds great even at your “freezing 65”. It is 17 up here but the sun is melting the snow.

Diana, I never realized that Maite Perroni had been around for a while before Lichita. She looks so young.

This is interesting, like you said AAA, there haven't any real villians surfaced yet. We have a pig headed grown up eight year old, surrounded by a city full of enablers, but that looks to change whether anyone wants it to or not, thanks to the modern marketplace.

BTW, for the La Pilotoers (including me) Lizbeth shows up before long in this one. She was the wispy blonde who made it to the end in La Piloto.

I'm in the mood for a good old fashioned Hoo-Haa comedy. I love stupid people doing stupid things if it is funny, as opposed to stupid people doing stupid things when it is stupid. :-).

Rulli doesn't even bother me. The waters around FloriDuh are teeming with inherited money douche bags like Mauricio, so I am inoculated by now. Everyone but them knows how ridiculous they look.

Jarifa, Maite Perroni has been around since Rebelde in 2004. I think it's her youthful face that keeps her in the running for younger roles than she otherwise would've. I love her energy and she is always committed, even during "La Gata" (bleh!). She's 34, so that makes the icky factor with Rulli less noticeable but she looks younger than Esmeralda Pimentel, Zuria Vega and Angelique Boyer, who are under 30.

I saw that, Kirby! Will she be a badass like Lizbeth or something else entirely?

S Fl is at 71 with a chance at rain. I prefer the cold to the rain but, then again, I've never experienced inches upon inches of snow.

OK, so all the central characters except Mauricio live on a Cul de Sac out in suburbia and know each other. Is this set in Mexico somewhere, IE: the yacht, or Miami or somewhere?

LA Gata was the worst tn that I have ever watched. It should have been called The Dump. Dumb and depressing.

I believe it's Mexico city. THat's usually where it's set unless otherwise stated, i.e. Color in Puebla.

I think the cul-de-sac is charming, with the gazebo in the middle.

Alfredo ." I've never experienced inches upon inches of snow. " yeah..trust me..you would not like it if you had to shovel it or drive in it. I keep looking out at my real patio, and I think that when\if spring ever comes, I may never leave that patio. Everyone gets cabin fever this time of year.

Yes, a cul-de-sac is a much better setting than a dump. Looking forward to actually seeing the setting tonight.

Alfredo, the thing I learned with snow, is you two have to decide whether you two are going to be 'together' or not.
IE: You wake up in your new location to your first snow, having moved from a no snow climate. You bust your ass trying to get to your car out front, and then find that said car is almost useless. Either make arrangements to survive, or move back.

What I saw in the snow belt was two approaches: One person decides that is her/his new life and learns to deal with their new white friend.
The second type struggles through their first snow, and every subsequent snow is like "Ground Hog Day" as they do nothing different, somehow expecting each snow to be a one time event.

Same with hurricanes here in FloriDuh.

La Gata? Ooooo..wasn't that the one with Marjorie de Souza in her famous bikini and frizzy hair? If so, that is one of the ones which hooked me on this TN crack.

Alfredo, I have only been watching novelas since 2011 and since I tend to watch the lighter comedic ones it is no surprise I have missed most of Maite Perroni's work. Thanks for the info.

Nopis, Gata Salvaje

Hi Jarifa. I see Alfredo has filled you in.

The first time I saw Maite was in Cuidado con el ángel with William Levy. Great chemistry and not a bad story. She seems committed to every role she plays.

Kirby, perhaps you are thinking of Marjorie in Amores Verdaderos? She pranced around in a lot (or a little) swim wear in that.

Diana

Diana, Gata Salvaje=Marjorie bikini pool fight

OK I have a technical question: When Maury laid down in front of the elevator to snag Miranda, why in the name of any decent skirt chaser was he wearing those blue WalMart plastic gardening clogs? Johnston Murphys or at the least Bass Weejun loafers, but clogs? Anybody else notice that?

Diana Pranced? funny She is a prancer.

And per the discussion yesterday with Susy, Marjorie, or Julian or both of them must be impossible to get along with.

Maybe Jillian?

Alfredo – Thank you for the recap. This story is off to a running start~!

”. I think it (the death of Mau’s mother) was meant to highlight that he never really grew up because of this and is content to keep being, essentially, a "big kid." Yes. This. Mau needs tons of guilt therapy that he will never get in Telenovelaland.

JudyB - ”Sounds like our main guy is going to have to undergo a profound character transformation though. At present, he's, well, a total d......”
So succinctly put! And exactly what I thought!
I've never truly detested a protagonist so much in the first episode.

Susanlynn -”.the workaholic strong woman who doesn't want kids meets the party animal playboy who doesn't want kids. Say it with me class..finale = white wedding and kiddles.”
I love it. LOL!!!

Diana ..yes, Marjorie was a vixen in AV. Wasn't she the mistress of miss Vicky's spineless hubby? Is that the one where she got a very nasty anvil and is Vicky got Big Ed Yanez and a lot of prepositions (on the floor, against the wall, etc)

This tn is moving very fast right out of the gate with the episode ending with two weddings ...well, the start of two weddings anyway.

Wow...enjoying the snows stories. Am now sitting here with a hugely swollen lip (looks like I had a bad collagen injection on one side) because I did a total face plant while shoveling. Seems there was a patch of ice on an especially steep angle of our long driveway and boom, feet flew out from under me and rather than intelligently breaking the fall with my arms, I held onto the shovel and broke the fall with my face.

Should I read Snow Shoveling for Dummies? No broken bones though or missing teeth though. As far as I know (fingers crossed again).

Thanks for the info Kirby. An ibis. I'm going to learn a lot about birds here I think. As as you know, love learning, almost as much as I love teaching.

Now about your exercise class quip...Women go year after year because we do need to exercise and build a little muscle, but also because we love to connect. Classes are social occasions and that's why they go on and on and people sometimes take the same class for decades. It's partying without alcohol. It's a support group but more fun. And with rockin' music. So...all good. And safer than shoveling the dang driveway.

The "message" in this one is starting out pretty heavy. Especially for a comedy. Doubt that expectations of Latino men will change any time soon but watching this might rile up their wives plenty. The hassle over getting the kids to bathe and go to bed a little too "real". Just got back from visiting family in Charlotte and oh my, bed times...and towels on the floor etc. But my son-in-law is a champ and he's always been the one to get young son bathed and read to and asleep. And granddaughter old enough to do her own things. So my daughter is lucky.

By the way, just for a bit of trivia here, the producer of this TN (Eduardo Meza) also produced, among others:

La doble vida de Estela Carrillo
Antes muerta que Lichita (with Maite)
Qué pobres tan ricos
Mentir para vivir
Por ella soy Eva
La fuerza del destino
Camaleones
Las tontas no van al cielo
Amor sin maquillaje
La fea más bella

Hi, Doris!!! Long time, no see !!!!

Judyb..oh no, apply ice to that lip. Looks like most of the snow will arrive here overnight with a prediction of 3to 6 inches. However, we have had just enough snow and cold to make the roads slippery.

Excellent recap, Alfredo. Despite all the humor, this tn was a little more serious than i expected, with the child Mauricio's having caused his mother's death. That incident also helps explain, as others have noted, why he behaves as irresponsibly as he does. This is a very different role for Mark Tacher, compared to the idealistic doctor of El Bienamado, whose life had been so touched by tragedy. One of the fun things about Televisa telenovelas is trying to remember where one saw some of the other actors before. I very much like the attitude here (and in Mi marido tiene familia) that it's a good thing for a married woman with children to work and to value a professional career. And of course, all the signs are there--Catalina is not long for this world. That may be why it's so important to her to see her daughter married. Renee's novio is of course blowing it, and will no doubt live to regret it.

Hy Doris. Great to see you again. Your comments will definitely adds some spice to this one.

And thanks for the list Kirby. Of those, the only one I liked was La Fea más Bella. Was a recapper for Las Tontas and absolutely loathed the show. But compared to Enamorandomé, it was probably a masterpiece.

Some of my favorites, from this guy.

JudyB, so sorry about your getting bested by the white one in this round.

I remember buying those "Ice Creeper" things when I first had to deal with it wearing leather soled shoes. Walking on ball bearings would have been easier than leather soles. The Ice Creepers were like tire chains for your shoes.

Hah Susanlynn!...I DID apply ice to the lip...driveway ice! Now I'm just coddling myself. Hot tea with honey and hanging out on the patio. Although, being stubborn and yes, Dumb, am going back out in a minute to finish that friggin' driveway. Never give up, never give in.

Diana and Kirby...yes,Marjorie is definite!y a Prancer...and a pretty good dancer. I saw her on one of those bailando shows awhile ago.

Judyb...be careful !!!!!

Know what you mean Kirby, I've seen those metal things in the Sports Stores. For now, I'm going to borrow our son's hiking boots and see if I can manage to stay upright and finish the rest of the driveway with a full set of teeth.

Thanks Alfredo!

Glad to know why Mau is such a loser. Running from the pain and guilt over the death of his mother. He probably hates children because you can't help but love a child when you are close to one and he doesn't want to love anything again.

Miranda seems decent enough so far. I feel bad for her because she said she wants to be loved and Mau isn't marrying her for love but money. Right now though, without the kid popping up, I could see her and Mau making a go of the marriage. They seem to be alike.

Just watching Veronica trying to handle her kids made me tired.

Wow Renee's fiance's comments before the wedding came from totally left field. What is this? The 50's? Reminded me of the Julia Robert's movie, set at a college in the 50's, one of her students gave up going to law school in order to get married and have a family and you could see the regret.

Thanks, Alfredo. I'm simply amazed how you pulled all the different strands together.

So little Mauricio messed with some big doohickey he shouldn't have, causing his mom to die in a fire, but as an adult is still recklessly messing with doohickeys. Got it.

Mauricio literally lying on the sidewalk waiting for Miranda -- I should have my head examined cause I like that scene. Anyway, if this TN doesn't make me laugh, I see the patio will.

"Never give up, never give in."
JudyB - ohhhhh, great quote from one of my very favorite movies!!! 😊😊😊

We have received almost 2" of snow since 3:30 am. Single digit lows tonight. Highly doubtful there will be school tomorrow, either. One can hope this will help impede the flu virus that is running rampant. 🤒😷🤒

I saw Maite in CuidadoCEL and TDA a/k/a Triunfo del Horror. 😛
I've only watched Rullí in Amores Verdaderos.

Ah the flu virus. Yes, running rampant in Charlotte also. And here. And there's another virus, not influenza, but such a bad 'un that people are sick for weeks, really sick, and suffer from dreadful laryngitis. My granddaughter came down with it while I was in Charlotte and she's a highly energetic, very physical 13-year-old who just wilted with it. Really knocks you flat. Good times~

Anyway, driveway is now shoveled. Street shoveling truck came by just as I was finishing up and of course laid a whole new mound down at the end of our driveway. But got it done.

Yeah, the writers presented a credible case for why Mauricio is such a d..... bag. Hates himself, hates kids, hates responsibility and is doing his best to remain half in the bag unconscious at all times so he doesn't have to face his own guilt and loss. Okay. Now onto to the kid and how she upends his life. Will be interesting. I hope!

And glad to see skinny little stick "Luisa" (Enamorandome de Ramón) here as a receptionist at the place. She's an excellent eye roller.

AAA, thank you for getting us off to such a fine start! I watched it and mostly enjoyed it, but your recap helped me make more sense of it and remember, more or less, who everyone is. That can be a bit difficult at the start of a TN for some of us. (like me!)

Susanlynn, ...the workaholic strong woman who doesn't want kids meets the party animal playboy who doesn't want kids. Say it with me class..finale = white wedding and kiddles.

Oh, rats, Susanlynn, you've taken all the suspense out of it! :-) :-p :-)

But maybe that's a good thing, now I won't be on the edge of my seat for the whole run of this TN :-)

BTW, it's nice to see that just about everybody is here for this show!

JudyB, so glad to hear you only got a fat lip. Ice is so tricky.

Judyb...yes, at this point Mauricio has a lot of baggage. It will be interesting to find out about that little girl. It reminded me of a scene referred to as "the Daddy scene" in season three Outlander.

Glad you got your shoveling done while remaining vertical. We skipped the flu shot last year, but we decided to bet it this year. However, Hubba lost his voice while we were down the shore. He insisted that it was from walking around in the frigid air, but....

JudyB - the other crud going around here is upper respiratory that leaves people coughing for weeks afterward. 😷😷😷

Diana - "Hates kids, hates adults, hates work, hates responsibility. ". Which all boils down to ... he hates himself.

I need to get off this black hole of time a/k/a the internet and finish reading a true crime book about a local murder in 1975 of eleven y/o girl that was unsolved until several years ago.

Andy...yeah ,I should have given a spoiler warning there. My bad.

As in El Bienamado it's very likely that one of the main themes of this novela will be redemption and a chance to love and be loved after a terrible tragedy.

SpanProf...yes, that seems to be the main theme of most telenovelas, and I think it's a good one. We all need frequent reminders that living in regret and bitterness is a helluva way to waste the one life we have. The latest trend seems to be to preach that message without the aid of a good Catholic padre, but it's still the same message.

Kirby, whaddayamean too late!? My great-grandfather, widowed after his wife bore him 8 sons (and probably died of exhaustion) married again. He was 65, she was 25. Her parents objected so they wrote each other love notes and hid them in a tree that bordered their neighboring farmlands. And then eloped. Five children. The first being my grandmother. Time to sow some little Kirby's in a welcoming field my friend. Woof!

Oh Judy! I imagine ice might be best for the swelling, but that seems ironic, and well just wrong.

I'm so sorry you fell, but I'm relieved that at the very least, it wasn't any broken bones...

Please stay warm and safe.

Diana

Awww Doris stay with us. This is the happiest misery on the planet.

""Hates kids, hates adults, hates work, hates responsibility. ". Which all boils down to ... he hates ".....never mind, he doesn't appear to hate bimbos. And not talking about some bakery product. Maybe a bred product.?

More friends are pulling up chairs. Over 60 comments at 1:30 - wow!!

Wish I could sit here on the patio all day. The wry and wise comments are coming faster than the snow.

"So little Mauricio messed with some big doohickey he shouldn't have, causing his mom to die in a fire, but as an adult is still recklessly messing with doohickeys. Got it". HA Niecie!!

Diana

doris., the other crud going around here is upper respiratory that leaves people coughing for weeks afterward.
Here in the Big Apple as well.

Nice to see Vani Oso dichoso is still around :-)

Uh oh...I know that a judyb\kirby combination would be...interesting. Now, we have judyb Woofing ! (P.s. I had to correct autocorrect which still prefers the more colorful nudyb.)

Wow...25 and 65 = 5 kids..real children ..not kids as in Chickie's goats.

And we're off!!!!

All we need is Cynderella in this mix.

SUSANLYNN, We need Cynderella, Carlos and NovelaMaven to make it a totally awesome Patio, but if they don't join in, we'll just have to do our darnedest. BUT WE MISS YOU GUYS!!!!!

Judyb...yes,where those folks? And where is Anita?

Anita is probably traveling. And can't remember whether she likes comedies or not. And where is Vivi? I know she has a new job but still....Whenever our brains got frozen, she could always remember EXACTLY what happened. Fantastic memory.

NudyB, shuttling back and forth between stove, laundry room and that infernal driveway

Judyb...I think that Vivi might have gone cold turkey on telenovelas. I, in contrast, am weak and still addicted to them and Carey, but there are worse guilty pleasures.

YIKES ! the FabMoon hangover seems to have worn off fast.

RGV where are all you guys?

When we talk about this Maury guy not liking kids we mean children.
My understanding is he is crazy for a goat.

Yeah, Vivi memory like a steel trap.
NiNa....where are ewe?

Ewe = Mama goat in NiNese.

Look familiar?

Kirby..no , it doesn't look familiar. Should it look familiar to me?

It is the exact same one Mauricio had little enough sense to fly INSIDE his house and crash it into something. Oh Wait, you missed last night didn't you.

It's the toy that Mauricio crashed into the vase? lol

I miss Vivi dearly, she was great, and I'm sorry that happened to you JudyB. That will teach me to ever prefer inches of snow over some Miami rain.

Glad to see new and old faces on here. May this journey be an exciting one.

I was watching and he got it out and turned it on and all the lights were in the right places and all. I thought OMG they're letting Allnutsnobrains fly that thing?
A REAL One?
INSIDE the house. Well you see what happened. It was in the air for all of maybe 10 seconds before it hit an expensive looking vase and BAM. Broken glass and drone everywhere.

I thought it was to illustrate how Logatoy's toys suck but I guess it was product placement?

Oh Alfredo, never wish for snow. Rain, except in rare cases, runs away and is gone. And living near the coast, it just runs off into the ocean. Snow is malevolent. And sometimes it will not go away. You can move it around, but it just stays like black sheep relatives. You look out day after day and there is that dirty brown mountain of agony.

Yeah, it sure looked like it, but I'd be shocked if DJI is placing product in a TN. I figured it was someone's personal one which they sacrificed. It's kind of a yuppy toy.

To quote Albert Camus.."Snow, that leprosy of nature."

My students from warmer places always were very excited to experience snow for the first time and waxed poetic about in compositions that they wrote for me. Then, they had to shovel it, get it off their cars, and drive in it..not quite as romantic. I tend to agree with Camus, a very depressed and depressing guy in my opinion. I blame winter for his negative vibe...and mine. #camushatedwintertoo

Escargo?

Alberto, I hate those product placements in tns. I think that in AV Miss VIcky was often sipping Baileys. In Destilando Amor, we saw a !ot of agave plants. Did they have product placement in that one? Was Bimbo promoted in a tn? What other products were placed? It is never very subtle.

Alfredo, this is gonna be a piece of
Work.
When I saw Renee talkin to that bozo on the church steps, bells and whistles
Went off. Don't marry him girl.He will not Want you to work. And then I saw her walkin down the bridel path, havin 2nd Thoughts. Don't do it girl. She stopped.
Good for you girl. He wants all the attention. He sounds selfish, and he
Probably is.Jerk.

Mauricio is a kid that's old and never
Grew up.And he never got over his moms
Death which he kinda caused accidently
Yeah he got some issues. And Renee will
Straighten him out.Its The hardest job she'll ever have. I'm anxious to see
The little girls moma he knocked up 5
Or 6 years ago.
He hates kids cuz he thinks they're like him, startin fires being the cause
Of his mother's death. Accidently that
Is.
That neron guy, does he really not know why old men want young women?Sex.
Is he that dence? Or did I just maybe misunderstand what he was saying? Well
The head character in this show is
Acting like an idiot. I wonder how Lind before that changes. How did that little girl Know he daddy?is her mom Moma lurkin around somewhere? Ok lets see how the Weddings go. Or not.

Thank you Alfredo

I remember Maite Perroni chugging yogurt with her nana Rosario in Mi Pecado. From what I remember, Osrio is the most shameless of all product placement producers.

In Tormenta en el Paraiso, Erick Elias was cooking stir fry at least once a week with his servants.

Go, Nina. Tell it like it is, girl !!!

They say a good woman can change a man's life. Maybe so, but a smart kid is a darn close second, or maybe the other way around. This should be fun.

DADDY ? (a Homer Simpson) DOH !

Yeah, NiNa, 'That neron guy', by the time a man is his age, he should know how to do laundry, cook, clean the place, make money, and generally take care of himself. So a younger woman is just the icing on the cake. Usually not a bad deal for her either.

I'm still trying to stop laughing about NiNa's comment about Don Pedro and Moma got heat over on EDRaMoon.

Wow..first episode recap..89 comments..now 90 comments. This might be a fun ride to take us out of winter and into spring!!

Was Bimbo promoted in a tn? This one? Sure looked like it on that boat.

Susy, I know. I'll just keep jabbering away until it hits a hundred if we're not careful.

Okay,Kirby. I will help !

Can always count on SusanLynn, you are a trooper. Cynthia said the song the Chippendales were dancing to was the theme song from Despertar Contigo. That was another one where Francisco was just as hate-able as in Ramoon.

Hey that girl Mauricio almost married is a real life mostly model and not really a TN actress. Estefanía Ahumada

Just flipping through the channels killing time before our show.
Does 'Rica Famosa Latina' translate to something like "Menopausal And Hating It"?

We are almost there, and almost time for our brand new tn. #waitingformoresnow

And what's with all these new Biblical, Medieval, and dinosaur shows all over Spanish television?
Almost? Like in an hour and ten minutes?

....99 bottles of beer on the wall...99 bottles of beer....sing it with me now......

Good one. Susy, this beautiful rich thing Mauricio wants to marry (to bail his company out) is the daughter of one of the investors Mauricio made a fool of himself in front of earlier.

He, the Father, was none too enthused when he discovered Mauricio dating his daughter. So when this bonus granddaughter shows up it should light some fireworks.

Kirby, I’m right here, trying to keep up with all the comments...WOW!!! over 100 comments! This is going to be a really fun ride! I’ve been busy all day making sure my kids stay warm enough in these freezing temperatures that are supposed to last till late tomorrow morning. Oh the TN started..bye!
