Veronica thinks it’s good that Renee is going to live with Lupe so she can get to know him, lest we have another Alejandro situation on our hands. Either way, she warns Renee to not confuse love with companionship and tells her it’s okay to make a mistake because she’s only human.

Mauricio chides Anifer for calling him “dad” but she wants to pee, desperately. They try to go into the men’s room but it’s being cleaned so Anifer asks him to take her to the woman’s bathroom, as she’s scared that another Enriqueta will kidnap her. Once inside, Anifer goes to pee in a stall and Mauricio decides to pee in another stall. He goes inside one as three women walk in and he comes out once he’s done. The woman are shocked to see he’s there and begin to scream and berate him as Mauricio asks Anifer to come out so these women can see he’s only there for her.

Jorge picks up Samuel at school and tells him that he will be coming by surprise every day so he can keep an eye on them. He asks Samuel and a classmate for Valentina and the classmate reveals that she’s with her friends. Jorge asks Samuel if he knows who they are and Samuel tells him that they are the friends she usually hangs out with. Jorge knows exactly the kind of friends he’s talking about.

Anifer comes out of the bathroom and Mauricio begs her to explain to the growing crowd of women what is happening. She shrugs and wonders what she can explain before calling him Mauricio. The women begin to scream again and Mauricio silences them and explains that he is the girl’s father but she prefers to call him by his name. The women don’t buy this story and Anifer smiles up at Mauricio, finally following his orders.

Tono orders his kids to sit down and eat, quickly, because they have to get to the pool. His children chide him for being like his mother, who was always hurrying them, but Tono asks them to be quiet and eat. He then goes to grab a salad Veronica made and serves the kids with his hands (huh??) before going to grab crackers. The kids tells him that Veronica doesn’t allow them to eat crackers but Tono tells them it’s okay and then asks them to eat again or they will be late.

Mauricio swears he is not a pervert and then decides to use his charms on the women. He introduces himself as Mauricio Lopez-Garza, the owner of Logatoys, and one of the women goes to look him up online. Just then, a police officer comes to arrest Mauricio but Anifer finally speaks up and tells everyone the truth, namely, that he is her father and was only helping her. A woman holds up her cell phone, because she’s found Mauricio, and everyone smiles because Mauricio is a sweetheart. The police officer suggests Anifer’s mother go with the girl next time but Mauricio reveals that he’s a single father. At this, most of the women offer their help but Mauricio thanks them before running away.

Jorge calls Valentina but gets her voicemail. He leaves her a scathing voicemail where he tells her that she is going to disciplinary school because she has not learned her lesson and continues to behave badly. He then tries to come down, but can’t, and orders Samuel to wait in the car while he goes to look for Valentina.
Valentina is actually with her mother, who is ranting on and on about Jorge and his poor attitude and boring life, in a restaurant. Valentina, who has tears in her eyes, notices Isauro sitting by the bar, watching them, and Dulce finally apologizes for leaving her and Samuel like she did. Valentina can’t believe she left them like she did but she doesn’t need her either way. The only reason she called her is to ask for permission to live her life as Jorge is suffocating her. Dulce holds her hand, happy to hear Valentina understands her dilemma, and confesses that she loves her. She then hugs Valentina as Isauro takes plenty of pictures of the happy reunion.

As Mauricio shows Anifer various dresses for her to chose from when a sales attendant comes and asks if they need help. Mauricio takes an instant liking to the beautiful, young woman, and introduces himself before asking her to dinner at his house because he’s free like the wind. The attendant asks him if Anifer, who immediately shakes her head “no”, agrees but Mauricio forces her to nod “yes” and tells the attendant that she won’t even be there before smiling.

Sometime later, Mauricio arrives home and hopes he can fix up his house, just a little, for his date. Anifer asks if he likes the attendant, Susy, and Mauricio admits he does because it’s been a while since he’s played with a woman. Anifer suggests they call Renee, so she can play with him, but Mauricio doesn’t want to because she’s boring and hates him. Just then, Renee calls out to Anifer and walks over. Lupe comes up behind Renee and holds her tight as she promises to make the sandwiches she promised Anifer ASAP. Anifer reveals that Mauricio has a date so it will have to be tomorrow. Renee nods, shocked he puts his need above his daughter’s, and tries to say goodbye because she has lots of things to do. Lupe tells Renee that they need supplies for their house and Mauricio realizes they are moving in and wishes them good luck before leaving. Renee goes to her house too as Lupe gets one final look at Mauricio’s door and smiles (because he won this round).

At Jorge’s, Jorge calls most of the parents of Valentine’s classmates but can’t find her. Samuel warns him to be careful and not embarrass Valentina but Jorge thinks it serves her right because she has disappeared. He dials and hopes she is with these friends.

At the restaurant, Valentina listens to Jorge’s voicemail with Dulce, who hopes she understands her plight now, and asks if she can go live with her. Unfortunately, Dulce is going to NY and Valentina is a minor so she can’t just go with her. Valentina hopes they can find a solution or she can end up in jail. Dulce is confused so Valentina tells her what happened with Aurelio. Dulce is shocked and Valentina begs her for help. Dulce finally relents and tells her that she can come to NY with her but she needs to grab her things ASAP. Valentina promises to do so as quickly as she can and Dulce writes down her hotel’s address so they can meet that night. Valentina thanks her, hugs her and walks away smiling.

Mauricio shows Anifer where he put her remaining pill bottles, from when she was sick, and asks her not to get sick again as he puts the pills away in a box. Anifer then asks if Susy will like the house and Mauricio is sure his charm will compensate for everything else. Anifer wonders what she can do while he’s on his date and Mauricio shrugs before placing the shoebox of pills at the top of a stack in the bathroom.

At the shop, Flor shows Neron the headshots she took to pass out at modeling places and Neron can’t believe she forgot his and Pablo’s lunch because she was handing out photos. Pablo comes out then and thanks Neron for the tacos he bought and Flor can’t believe Neron lied again. She chides shim slightly and then invites Pablo to dinner before coldly telling Neron goodbye and leaving. Once alone, Neron tells himself that he doesn’t believe her story about the pictures one bit.

Valentina calls Jorge and asks him to come pick her up but Jorge demands she tell him where she has been and with who. She begs him to come pick her up first and he obliges.

Neron grabs a duffle bag from the locker room and hands it to Pablo, who opens it up, and finds fresh clothes inside. Pablo smiles and thanks him for his kindness before giving him a hug. Neron tells him that it was nothing and Pablo promises to work hard and repay him. Neron smiles and Pablo gets back to work.

Mauricio tells Anifer that her bath is ready but Anifer is worried that she will get sick again if she stays there too long while he’s on his date. Mauricio promises to check on her periodically and takes her to the bathroom to show her his bubbly bath surprise. She is unimpressed but he asks her to think about new ideas for toys while she’s there, to entertain herself. She couldn’t be more excited (not!).

As Lupe tells Renee that his furniture will be at her house tomorrow because he has to vacate his apartment tomorrow, Renee watches Susy walk up to Mauricio’s house from the window. She can’t believe he is going on a date, with his daughter in the same house, Lupe asks her to focus and leave Mauricio alone. Renee is just worried about Anifer, because it’s not her fault she has Mauricio as a father, but Lupe thinks it’s something else. Renee drops peanut butter on her shirt then and goes to change to she can bring the PB&J sandwiches to Anifer as Lupe looks at the sandwiches and smiles.

Valentina arrives home and watches from the corner as Jorge and Samuel get into the car and drive away, presumably to pick her up. She then runs to her house and goes inside.

Mauricio hears a knock on the door and goes to answer but it is just Lupe, who has brought him Renee’s sandwiches. He smiles then and warns Mauricio to stay away from Renee because he knows the kind of man he is. Mauricio thinks he has nothing to worry about, as Renee is not his type, but Lupe tells him that he will be watching. Just then, Susy arrives and Lupe hopes he enjoys the sandwiches before leaving. Once alone, Mauricio smiles at Susy, who kisses him, as he holds the sandwiches behind his back.

Valentina packs her things, happy that she will be free soon, and closes her suitcase.

Outside, Jorge and Samuel watch the house from across the street because Jorge no longer trusts Valentina to tell him the truth. Just then, a cop car arrives and Samuel assumes Aurelio finally called the cops.

Susy asks Mauricio about Anifer and he explains that she is in a galaxy far, far away. He then explains that he just moved in, so she should forgive the mess, and he asks if she would like a drink. Susy would, and some appetizers, much to Mauricio’s delight. He goes to prepare something right away.

Tono tries to dink the coffee he made, but it’s terrible, and asks if the kids have homework. Ernesto does not, but Tania does, so Tono decides to take a nap while he waits for Fidel’s swimming class to be over and asks the kids to wake him up in 15 minutes. Tania and Ernesto take the opportunity to watch TV and not do much else.

Mauricio brings Anifer Renee’s sandwiches and asks her to think about water themed toys and eat while he is on his date. He hands Anifer one sandwich and then takes the other two as Anifer sighs deeply.

Jorge observes as Valentina gets out of the house. Valentina notices the cop car and worries that they have come for her. She then sees Jorge’s car and hides behind another car parked on the street.

Sometime later, Susy is trying to kiss Mauricio but wonders why he is so shy. He explains that he has been with a lot of women, though it’s been a while since he’s been with one, but most have been “rich girls” and not working girls like Susy. Susy is shocked that he would say that but can’t say more as Anifer storms out of the bathroom because she’s turning into a prune. Mauricio asks her to go back to the bathroom but Susy is shocked to see Anifer has been in the bathroom the whole time because he wants to get laid. In the end, she sees that Mauricio is definitely not worth it and storms out. Mauricio asks her to come back but Susy is already out the door and he can’t help but shrug his shoulders. Distracted, he takes a bite of the PB&J sandwich and goes into anaphylactic shock. He falls to the floor, clutching his chest, as Anifer comes out of her room and runs to him. Mauricio can’t breath and Anifer begs him to tell her what to do. Anifer decides to go and get her pill bottles from the bathroom but they are too high up.

Renee goes back to her living room and finds her sandwiches are missing. Lupe reveals that he took them to Mauricio and Renee is floored.

Jorge decides to go and see what the police is doing at the cul-de-sac. He approaches the police officer, who introduces himself as Rodrigo, and asks for Mauricio because he has to talk to him about a case. As Jorge shows him where Mauricio lives, Valentina grabs her phone and tries to call Dulce, who doesn’t answer, and Neron arrives with Pablo to go to dinner. They turn the corner and run into Rodrigo, who is surprised to see them.

Renee is shocked that Lupe is being so nice to Mauricio, especially after all he told her earlier, but Lupe tells her that, since they were for Anifer, he decided to help her. He then observes that she looks very pretty, just to deliver some sandwiches, but decides to leave because he has to pack. He tells Renee that he will call her to tell her when he’s coming with his things and leaves after a kiss.

Outside, Lupe says hello to all his neighbors and leaves as Renee tries to catch him but can’t. She then says hello to all her neighbors and goes back home but stops when she sees Mauricio’s door is open. She walks toward it, wondering what could’ve happened.

Anifer decides to climb the box tower and tries to grab the shoebox when the whole thing comes tumbling down but Renee is there to catch her. She asks Anifer if she’s okay and the girl nods but Mauricio is in trouble. They run back into the living and find Mauricio on the floor. Renee tries to shake him awake but he doesn’t respond.

Rodrigo is shocked to see Pablo is not a mute after all but Neron tries to convince him that he is when Renee runs out of Mauricio’s house and asks someone to call an ambulance. Rodrigo obliges and goes to help her with Neron and Pablo as Jorge spots Valentina trying to run away and stops her. Samuel runs out of the car too and toward them because he wants to know what is going on. Valentina is just sick and tired of their father trying to control everything and is going to leave with Dulce. Just then, the ambulance arrives and Jorge tells the paramedics where to go. When his back is turned, Valentina runs off.

In front of Mauricio’s, Neron asks Pablo to go get Flor and then shows the ambulance where to go.

A few feet away, Jorge tries to catch up to Valentina but she manages to get into a taxi and drive off. Samuel screams for him to tell him what happened but Jorge stuffs him into his car as they try to chase after Valentina.

At the Barrientos’ household, Tania and Ernesto watch all the commotion from their window as Tono tosses and turns but doesn’t wake up.

Moments later, the paramedics look Mauricio over and give him the medicine to shop the allergic reaction. They tell Renee that he will be okay and leave, as Neron wonders why Mauricio eats strange things that make him feel bad. Mauricio blames Renee’s sandwiches but she explains that they weren’t for him and it’s not her fault he got sick. Anifer is just happy to have her father back and gives him a big hug as Mauricio assures her that he’s okay. She promises to take care of him like he took care of her and they hug again.

Veronica calls Tono to check in on him and Tania tells him that there is an ambulance at Mauricio’s. Tono hopes they finally got rid of Mauricio and then realizes he’s late to pick up Fidel. He chides the kids for not waking him up and runs to go get Fidel.

At the pool, Fidel waits patiently by the pool when a custodian sees him and screams for a teacher to come as a child was left behind.

Samuel and Jorge try to find Valentina as Jorge calls her and leaves voicemails promising that he won’t send her away and everything will be all right. Samuel is shocked that Jorge told her such things but Jorge asks him to be quiet and begs Valentina to come home. When they hang up, Samuel continues to ask Jorge for answers but he waves away his concerns and calls Dulce. He leaves a voicemail, warning her to not take Valentina anywhere, and Samuel continues to ask for answers.

Valentina arrives at Dulce’s hotel and goes to wait in the lobby for her mother. She sits down by the entrance and waits.

Rodrigo looks at Mauricio and tells him that he came by because they need him to make a statement about Anifer’s kidnapping and other things but Mauricio tells him that he doesn’t feel up to it right now. Rodrigo then bids him goodbye, promising to go see him at Logatoys, but comes back to ask if they are renting a house in the cul-de-sac. Neron shakes his head and Rodrigo leaves, dejected. Neron can’t imagine the police living by them anyway.

Tono arrives at the pool and runs to Fidel, who is excited to see him. Fidel jumps into his arms and Tono apologizes for leaving him alone for so long. He then asks Fidel to keep this little snafu between them, as Veronica doesn’t need to know. Fidel wonders if he’s supposed to lie and Tono tells him, if he does, then there will be magic. He gives Fidel a chocolate gold coin, promises to buy him anything he wants, and hugs him because he’s so happy he’s safe.

Neron asks Mauricio to thank Renee, as he’s safe because of her, and Mauricio thinks she’s a great neighbor, unlike Neron who slashed his tires. Neron tells him that he did no such thing but Mauricio knows he owns a shop and it’s obvious. Flor defends Neron immediately and tells Mauricio that he’s a great man. Mauricio is unsure and Renee asks Mauricio to find out the truth before he goes spreading lies. Flor then storms out with Neron, who has trouble getting up, and Mauricio wholeheartedly thanks Renee for saving his life. Renee tells him that he would’ve done the same for anyone, even a dog, but Anifer thanks her too for saving her father. She then asks Renee and Mauricio to stop fighting and they agree before Renee leaves.

Later, Renee is at home when Lupe comes in and explains that he got a ride so he brought his things earlier than expected. Renee wonders why and Lupe explains that, since Mauricio had an attack, he thought it would be a good idea to have a doctor close by. Renee wonders if he’s jealous but Lupe waves off the notion and goes to talk to the movers. Once alone, Renee realizes Lupe knew about the attack and runs outside to find a whole army of movers helping Lupe. He tries to evade her questions but she demands he stop and asks if he put something in the sandwiches he gave to Mauricio. Lupe can’t believe she would think that of him and continues ordering the movers around. Renee then asks if he had something to do with Mauricio’s flat tire but Lupe explains that he is only guilty of protecting the woman he loves. Renee seems unconvinced and demands he answer her questions outright. Lupe finally relents and tells Renee that he has seen allergic reactions before and they are minor and reiterates that he had nothing to do with the flat tire but he’s glad someone has taught Mauricio a lesson. Renee can’t believe Lupe could’ve done something so childish and thoughtless, especially because Anifer could’ve been seriously hurt, but Lupe can’t see anything wrong with what he did, as it was only a little allergy; he again repeats that the flat tire was not his doing. He then demands Renee admit her feelings for Mauricio. Renee looks confused so Lupe demands she admit she likes Mauricio…
