Papa a Toda Madre, Capítulo 28, Friday February 23, 2018, Jorge has been exposed—or—One big happy family!

We begin where we left off last time on Jarifa’s recap: “Kika and Mauricio are laid out on the pavement somewhere as he proclaims that he does not want to drink anymore. He is done. He has to go. Kika isn’t. She wants to go on drinking but if not she has other ideas . . . They are both slurring their words. They both sit up. She demands that he tell her about Anifer’s mother. Before returning to the comfort of the pavement, Mauricio tells her that María is dead.”

At the apartment where Baldo and Lili live, Jorge is telling Baldo to please take his feet off the table. He has brought them information on possible schools to attend. They are not pleased, they think that the choices are not good schools. Baldo makes a comment that these are similar to the one in Tijuana. Jorge says to look over the choices, but the twins think they deserve better. Jorge tells them that economics are not that good, but in his opinion, the schools themselves are good, so please choose one you think you would like. [Me gets the impression said twins are behaving like spoiled brats.] Lili makes the accusation that his other children get better treatment. Jorge doesn’t want to discuss this, tells them to behave because he has to leave. Baldo makes the comment about going out and Jorge wants to know where he’s going. “What’s the matter, can’t we go out? Do we have to stay inside?” Jorge say, “I just don’t want you doing anything foolish. I will trust you.”

Back to where Kika and Mauricio are laid out, he tells Kika that he hadn’t had the heart to tell Anifer that her mother had died. The two of them talk a little more before falling on the pavement again. Suddenly Mauricio gets up and says something like, “We can’t do it here!” He picks up Kika, put her over his shoulder and proceeds to walk to where ever they are headed to.

At Logatoys, Falcon and Juan discuss with a mystery man the future of Logatoys and its detractors. They don’t think Kika is going to be a problem. The mystery man has gray hair and has a large black stoned ring.

Mauricio wakes up in Kika’s bed. He looks like he’s surprised to be there. He quickly gets his clothes together and leaves. It’s 4:28 a.m. Kika doesn’t wake up.

At Colegio San Borja, they are having an assembly for the student body, parents, and faculty. Jorge is the guest speaker who will be speaking on the importance of family. He’s a little nervous and Father Cutbert is wondering why. But Father Cutbert thinks he will do well, better than other years. Lili and Baldo sneak in, but before they get seated, Baldo hands something in flash drive over to the nun for the multi-media saying it’s for the speaker.

The speech is about traditional families, living within the guidance of the church, and giving a good example to the children.

After Jorge finishes his speech, he takes questions and answers. Baldo stands up and asks if it is a sin for a man to have a 2nd family with a concubine. (“Casa Chica”) Jorge says it’s a sin and tries to deflect Baldo.  He asks him if he has committed that kind of sin. Jorge says, “Never ever.” Then Baldo exposes Jorge to the entire assembly in order to embarrass him. [Not a good way to build a relationship, Baldo!] The photograph of Yuri with Jorge and the twins is projected on the screen.

At Mauricio’s house, Renée has woken up to find that Mau came home very late and very drunk. She isn’t too happy and is making remarks about him being a big drunk without shame. He’s on the couch sleeping, but she bends down and says, “I’m glad you got home okay. I was quite worried.” She lifts up the blanket and finds she has the wrong end of him, she’s talking to his feet! Mau wakes up and says, “Did you know I was thinking a lot about you?” She goes to where his head is and calls him a “borrachote” or a “big drunk”. Again calls him “sín verguenza” (shameless) to his face now. Mau almost looks hurt.

Mauricio sits up and tells Renée how much he thinks about her. Not just once in a while, but many times. “Before it was just a little bit, but now, I think of you daily.” Renee looks like she doesn’t know what to say, so she blames it on his hangover and asks if he feels well and if his head hurts. Maur tells her he feels like a vampire. About that time Anifer comes running up to Maur and is glad to see him. She wants to know why he is on the couch. Maur opens his arms and affectionately calls her “mocosa más latosa de me reino”, meaing “How is the pesky kid from my kingdom?” He embraces her for a big bear hug and tells her to hug him strongly. Renée looks on kind of amused. Anifer says, “What’s with the big hugs? Is he sick? Shall we call an ambulance?”

Rafa is at home talking to someone on the phone when the doorbell rings. It’s a couple of officials who say that they have received a complaint regarding animals that are bothering the neighbors. Rafa is puzzled and say, “I have a pair of rabbits and a few other animals, but they are in the backyard all fenced in. Do you know who complained?” The official says, “It was a neighbor who wanted to remain anonymous. We have to look at your animals and if you don’t comply with our requests, you are going to be fined.” Rafa looks very surprised.

Back at San Borja School, Baldo continues with his show. Father Cutbert says he has misunderstood something. But Baldo says no, “This man is my father of both my sister and I. Tell them, Jorge. Tell this in front of everyone.” Jorge is none too pleased. Lili says, “Are you going to deny this?” Jeers are heard coming from the audience: “Hypocrite! Adulterer! Immoral!” [I say, “He who is without sin, cast the first stone.”] Jorge hangs his head in shame while Father Cutbert tries to deal with the audience. He cancels the event and asks for people to leave. Valentina and Samuel just stare in disbelief at their dad.

At Rafa’s and Rod’s place, the inspector takes the bunnies. Rafa tries to explain that these are domestic animals, not a giraffe. “I’ve never had endangered species in my house.” Says Rafa. The inspector says, “It doesn’t matter, we are still confiscating the animals. When we verify the information, we will return them to you.” Rafa explains that taking care of animals is his profession and he loves animals. All he does is give them refuge at his home for people who want to adopt a pet. The inspector gives him the address where he can pick up the pets after they finish investigating the complaint. The inspector leaves and Rafa calls someone saying he doesn’t know what to do.

At San Borja school Jorge tells Lili and Baldo that they do not have God’s forgiveness and neither did they have the right to vent this in public. “Yes Jorge, the only thing we did was tell the truth.” Samuel then speaks up and says, “Is it true that they are our brother and sister?” Valentina wants to know too. So Jorge says, “Yes, their names are Baldo and Lili. They are your brother and sister.” Valentina closes her eyes. Then she looks at her father and says, “So you were unfaithful to my mother and had kids with another woman.” Jorge says, “Valentina, it’s not what it appears to be.”  Lili pipes up and says, “That woman had a name. Her name was Yuriria.” Sam says, “I guess my mother had good reason to leave. We didn’t know we had other siblings.” Baldo says all this time he thought Jorge was an uncle. “Imagine that!” Pretty soon all the kids start yelling at their father calling him a liar. Father Cutbert comes in and summons Jorge. The next thing you know Father Cutbert has told Jorge his kids are expelled from the school because they might get bullied. [He has a point there.]

At Kika’s hotel, she wakes up alone. She things Mau may be in the bathroom, but he is not there. So she calls him as he is still suffering from his hangover. He doesn’t answer at first. Renée comes out of the kitchen with a cup of coffee for him and asks if his head hurts. Then Renée lights into him about having been irresponsible, but Mau says that it’s been a very long time since he’s gone out and enjoyed himself. Plus he knew Anifer was safe at home with her. Then Mau says, “You know what I dreamed? Or maybe I didn’t dream it. But I thought I dreamed that you turned into a sweet Renée who never scolded me. One who says, ‘how nice you returned’” Renée tries to say she never said that, but Mau says she did, she said it to his feet.

Ignoring that, Renée then asks if he asked Kika about what she told him earlier. Then don’t finish what they are saying because Anifer comes into the room. She brought him some wet towels for his head. “Do you want one or two? You look like you need 15 or 20.”

Later, Mau walks through the dining area and picks up a picture or article. He asks Renée what it is and she explains that it’s something she found out about his girlfriend. But it’s his problem now. Maur asks, “So why do you think she wants revenge on me?” Renée explains and Mau just laughs. “You are laughing at me” says Renée. “No I’m not laughing at you. It’s just that you have misunderstood something.” He explains about the high school prank. But Renée is not buying it because doesn’t think it has anything to do with the high school thing. Maur changes the subject to having Renée play the part of Anifer’s mother on the phone. Renée is not so sure she can pull it off and feels bad doing this.

The four siblings, Baldo, Lili, Valentina and Samuel continue to argue. Sam and Val think that their father was cheating on their mother and that’s why she left. Lili then says that their mother wasn’t a saint either, that if she hadn’t broken up their mother and Jorge, then they would have gotten married. The arguing and yelling escalates until Jorge comes n and breaks it up. “Baldo, Lili, CONGRATULATIONS! Thanks to you both, Samuel and Valentina will no longer be able to attend this school. I am sure you are very proud of yourselves now.” Lili says, “It’s not our fault, it’s YOUR fault because you are a liar. You abandoned us like we were pests.” Baldo says they want to go back to TJ. But Jorge has other plans. “So you did this because you thought I as going to send you back to Tijuana. Well I hate to disillusion you, you are not going. You wanted to live all together? Perfect, you’ve got it! The five of us in the same house1” [That’s the spirit Jorge, don’t let them get you down or win with this ugly trick!]

At Nerón and Flor’s place, Nerón just got off the phone. He has found some work and tells Flor he starts tomorrow night. She asks if he is sure about this. Flor says something about asking neighbor Rodrigo for some help with getting his business license back since he is a police officer. But Nerón is not so sure about doing this because they might ask for something in return that he is not prepared to do. Flor laughs at him and he tells her to be quiet because she is just a little girl. She tells him not to call her that, they argue a bit and the baby starts to cry.

Rafa and Rod arrive home with pets in hand. Rafa says, “I wonder which of the neighbors it was who complained.” Rod says, “Oh please…Chucky. How can you say who…of course it was the lawyer, Jorge. Rod wants to go confront Jorge by Rafa stops him and doesn’t want trouble.

Kika calls Logatoys and talks to Gladys. But Gladys doesn’t know where Mauricio is and says she is just his secretary and not his guardian or his mother. Gladys hangs up on Kika. Then Kika has a flashback to the previous amorous night together. She catches herself and says, “What’s wrong with me?” Then she fans herself.

Mau takes Anifer to Logatoys to help with the modification of the mama papa toys and needs her talent.

Jorge arrives home with all four kids in tow. Baldo makes some remark about thinking he lived in a nicer place. Jorge says, “I don’t know what you thought. Did you think I lived in a big mansion? All these years I’ve been supporting two families, I don’t know how I made ends meet. Well let’s go inside.” Jorge explains they will go by his rules and this is not a democracy. He sees Kika drive by. Jorge gets them their bedding and tells them they have to share rooms now.

Renee waits for Mau’s phone call. But someone is knocking at the door. It’s Kika who just barges in. Renée is not pleased she is there. But then her phone rings. Kika gets the phone and puts it on speaker. This is not the way Mau planned. So finally Renée takes the phone and tells Anifer she needs to go to school. But she can’t get rid of Kika in the house. Kika takes the phone and does her own act. Anifer is wondering what is going on. [I can’t figure out why Anifer doesn’t recognize Kika’s voice.] Kika tells Anifer something about telling Mau he should enjoy his life and have a girlfriend. Anifer pipes up and says. “Oh he does! Her name is Renée!”

The drama continues at Jorge’s place. He puts his foot down and tells his kids not to call him Jorge or George. He is to be called “papa” or “padre” or “papi” Then he talks about obedience, but Baldo says, “or what? If I don’t obey you’ll throw me out of the house?” Jorge threatens, “So if you go out that door, you can forget about the trust your mother left you. I’m going to make this clear, I will not accept your questioning my authority in this house. That goes for the four of you. Right now I need QUIET. I need to think about what school to put you all in now.” The kids start arguing again and Jorge stops them telling them he wants no more arguing. He wants quiet! “If there is a flying coming through, I want to be able to hear it. I want that kind of quiet! End of discussion!”

At Mau’s place, Renée and Kika continue their “discussion”. Kika scolds Renee over deceiving Anifer. “Oh Mauricio tells me everything” says Kika. Then Kika puts Renée on notice that Mauricio belongs to her. “And he would never, ever be interested in the likes of you.” Renée asks her to leave. But Kika says she is leaving because she wants to not because she is being asked to leave.

Looks like Pablo is going to be doing some work around the privada.

Kika goes to see Mau at Logatoys and warns him about Renée. She tells Mau that Renée wants to break them up.

Didn't have the time to put up the rest of the pictures. More on Saturday. Enjoy!

Oh boy, a major "chicken came home to roost". Another interesting idiom. I'm glad Jorge's secret is out in the open. Ultimately he is going to be much happier living an authentic life rather than the secretive one he's led all these years. In spite of the humiliation, I think the twins actually did him a favor.

And I really don't understand how everybody seems to look down on "la privada". The houses there look charming to me, and seem roomy and comfortable. Hardly a slum.

And it seems that the romance between Mauricio and Renee is gradually heating up. All good. Kika may be sexy but Renee clearly has the inside track.

Thanks for the wonderful recap Cynthia. I'll look forward to the screen caps later as well as actually watching this. Ohio State had a big game last night which included making a last second game-winning shot in the second overtime, so I've had all the excitement I can stand for a while!

Thank you so much, Cynthia. Excelllent! I loved your little asides. What a nice accompaniment for my café this morning!

Eventhough I was not happy with Baldo revealing the truth about Jorge in front of the public, I did like that this particular plot line is moving right along and now the kids are all in one house. I had to laugh at the kids’ realization that they would have to share rooms, beds, everything.

The whole conversation with “María” with Renée and Kika was just funny.

USA men’s gold in curling. Hey! Hey!

Oh, yes, JudyB, things between Renée and Mauricio are definitely progressing. As for Ohio State, I am happy for you since they seem to be having a good run. There is nothing like following “your” winning team.

Thank you Thank You Thank You Cynthia. WOW what an episode.

I admit I felt bad for the kids, all four, but not for Jorge. I'm typically not as forgiving as many on the patio, so here goes. Jorge has been given a bounty of opportunities and reasons to tell his official kids about his secret ones and did not. I had a feeling something like this would happen. Smart resourceful kids are amazing, and do not play by grownup rules. Kid's rules are different and usually work. I was cheering and clapping at Jorge's "Caged Animal" look as he stood at the podium. He is a dishonest immoral liar, but he is all those four kids have left. Now hopeofully the four can begin to sort out their new 'family' and make something positive from it. I assume it was Jorge who called Rabbit Protective Services on Rafael. Who shot Rafael Rabbit?
Sermon over.

As much as I dislike Kika, I am really disappointed with how much I really enjoy looking at her. I assume her evil plan is starting to backfire on her, as she is attracted to Mau now that whatever happened with everything but his boxers off. ? ?
Mauricio may not remember last night, but it appears Kika can't forget it. Yowzers.

Kika seemed none the worse for wear the next day. Was she sneaking nd pouring out half of her shots, or secretly having the waiter bring her watered down ones?
Man, she IS an Amazon, when she and cute little (normal size) Renee were together it was like Mutt and Jeff. Of course Kika had on probably six inch heels.

It is awful seeing little Anifer thinking she is talking to her Mom. There may never be a good time, but the least bad time is here.

Happy Saturday, coffee is calling.

Good morning. Good morning fabulous eagle.

Cynthia, yes, what a lovely way to wake up. Totally savored every word.

I laughed at "Anifer says, “What’s with the big hugs? Is he sick? Shall we call an ambulance?”,and thoroughly enjoyed her saying Renee is Mau's girlfriend.

"The next thing you know Father Cutbert has told Jorge his kids are expelled from the school because they might get bullied. [He has a point there.]". I totally agree but am very relieved Father will not have to "deal" with the situation. He has not shown any compassion that I've seen and frankly, feel most of disdain would come directly from him.

I was very bothered at the way Baldo chose to expose not only Jorge but Val and Samuel who did nothing wrong. In real life, a truly devastating experience. He had a real nerve saying "Baldo stands up and asks if it is a sin for a man to have a 2nd family with a concubine". That is a slap in the face to the mother, far more than Jorge. Blech. This being a TN I am sure Valentina and Samuel will survive. The good news is there are many things that bond the four sibs. Just as Baldo and Lili have lost their mother, Val and Sam's mother has abandoned them. And I'm thinking that if the four join forces, imagine the mischief they could get into? Not exactly the Brady Bunch, right Jarifa? :)

I'm very sure Jorge also planted the lie about Rafa's pets. I would not want Rodrigo mad at me, just sayin'. And Rod is already mad at how Jorge is treating Rafa, let alone what he suspects (although wrongly) about Samuel's bruises.

Judy, I'm glad you mentioned the houses. I would be very happy to live in that neighborhood! Will root for Ohio State, sounds like it was a more than exciting game!

Renee is pure gold, Kika is plated....

So the USA won gold in curling? Perhaps Kirby will celebrate by posting that avatar.

Cynthia, thank you!

Diana

Diana , you sure hit it on the head again with the term “concubine” being used. Sickening in the 21st century. I am expecting that the kids will give Jorge a run for his money. Should be good. Count me in on liking the houses in the cul-de-sac.

Diana: Congratulations for the United States on winning Gold in Curling.

Kirby: Jorge got exposed in front of everyone I see ROFLOL. WTH was he thinking ? That nobody was ever going to find out ?

Jarifa: Renee is awesome & spunk.

Huh?

These guys were up till now self-named "The Rejects'.

As an aside I was surprised at the 'Not a Ford' patrol car painted in that trendy new flat black like is catching on here in Fla. They even had the blue oval in the grill blacked over. I have never seen a Law Enforcement car painted like that. Maybe unmarked, but with conventional paint.

Kirby, thank you so much!

Rejects no more.

You are the best.

Diana

Kirby, thanks for the curling “background” info.

Thanks. I don't consider myself an Olympics aficionado, but these games this year have really been interesting.

The figure skating between the two adorable little Russian girls, one 18 and the other ONLY 15 years old, was spellbinding. Not that I purport to know or really care about figure skating, but this was astonishing to see a teenager, the fifteen year old, win the Gold. I could not help but wonder if they were sure about her age.

The skiing and bobsleding is almost like NASCAR without the car.

I admit that I have watched almost nothing of the Olympics. Now I am sorry I did not find time to watch more. I have been busy finishing Longmire on Netflix.

Man, Renee may have her hands full if Kick decides mid-project that she would rather own and keep Mauricio rather than destroy and discard him, as evidenced by her attempts to shake off her memories of them playing around in bed last night.

Renee is by far the better choice in any number of ways, not the least of which is Anifer. But down inside Mauricio is a DOG with the morals of an Alley Cat in Heat, so I hopeo Renee has brought her best game.

Waldo and Lil were pretty rough on their recently deceased Mom, with the Cuncubine thing. I agree with everyone that was harsh. I just keep seeing things from the kids point of view, and they have to wonder if she would have EVER told therm the truth if she wasn't dying. I am sure they miss their Mom, but up and dying does not automatically absolve you of any guilt for a life-changing deception.

Thank you, Cynthia.

I think Lili and Baldo had to do what they did. They had to do it publicly, with no way out for Jorge. Otherwise he would have continued to lie and to treat them as second class children. Agree with JudyB: "In spite of the humiliation, I think the twins actually did him a favor."

Thanks, Cynthia. I haven't watched it yet, but you painted a brilliant picture. I can just "see" Jorge becoming undone after his "family values" speech.

Yep, Baldo was so busy getting revenge on Jorge, he didn't realize he was insulting his mom at the same time. But now that Jorge has been outed and put his whole family under one roof, no more secrets to hide, I'll bet he sleeps more soundly. Unless the kids gang up and go Lord of the Flies on his a##. :>

Uh-oh, Kiki wants Mau now, not just revenge. I'm surprised he was able to rock her world in his drunken stupor. Maybe Kiki doesn't get out much?

The mystery man has gray hair and has a large black stoned ring.

Who could it be? Fabian’s dad, alive and getting revenge on Mau’s dad through Fabian scamming Mau? Renee’s dad who worked at Logatoys and didn't stick around?

Good Day, Patio Peeps!

Cynthia, wow, tremendous job in retelling last night's explosive events! Thank You!

JudyB, amazing how you hit the nail right on the head with your prediction on how the twins were going to "out" Jorge. Good Job! Can you search your brilliant mind and tell us how Mau is going to be rid of Kika? Will she suddenly balloon up? or will Mau see her san "falsies?" I can't wait for him to kick her big curvy a$$ to the curb.

Diana, I'm with you on being bothered how the twins exposed Jorge. I agree that he deserved what he got, but Samuel and Val didn't deserve to find out in such away. How stupid of Jorge to outright deny the truth and try to ignore Baldo; all he did was add to Baldo's fire. ANd I am going to give Baldo the benefit of the doubt and consider that he didn't refer to his mother as a concubine. A "casa chica" can also be considered to be a man's "mistress" and the children he has with her, set up in a second home. Mistress is still not good, but not as bad as a "concubine" (IMO)

JudyB. ITA on the privada. Geez have these people ever really seen low-income housing?

Kirby, "It is awful seeing little Anifer thinking she is talking to her Mom." That's was really painful to see, but being that Anifer is such a smart little girl, how could she have not noticed the change in voices...two very distinct voices talking to her. When is Renee going to learn to at least who is at the door before opening it? Kika should have never entered that house. And yes, "when she and cute little (normal size) Renee were together it was like Mutt and Jeff" but all I have in my home are "Ms" and they are the best--resilient, adorable, loving and forgiving...nothing Kik-a-her-a$$! AND "Renee is by far the better choice in any number of ways, not the least of which is Anifer. But down inside Mauricio is a DOG with the morals of an Alley Cat in Heat" In the end, even dogs go home to their faithful owners :-)

Niecie, "Uh-oh, Kiki wants Mau now, not just revenge." Yeah, that is not going to be good for Renee. Kika is going to work twice as hard now to "get" Mau. Ackk! and "who could the mystery man be? It could be Fabian's dad, Renee's dad, or Kika's dad...only time will tell.
Ohhh, it could also be Maria's dad??

OOPSIE! Omitted words...

"When is Renee going to learn to at least who is at the door" should be "When is Renee going to learn to at least ASk who is at the door..."

And "nothing Kik-a-her-a$$!" should be "nothing LIKE Kik-a-her-a$$!"

Cynthia, thank you for another great recap and for your remarks. Especially this one: "[I can’t figure out why Anifer doesn’t recognize Kika’s voice.]" Neither can I. Nor can I figure out how they expected to fool Anifer with a voice call, the earlier texting was difficult enough.

I wish I could party all night and then wake up early looking as good as either Mau or Kika.

Good news for Nerón: Flor is not a little girl.

Jorge seems 'most likely to' have reported Rafael's vicious bunnies, and Rodrigo is sure it was him... so, naturally, I have my doubts :-)

" kick her big curvy a$$ to the curb."

:-)...Nobody, but NOBODY could have said it better....:-)

It was funny when Mauled awoke with Kicka$$, and looked like "Oh nooooo, what have I done?" You could see the coyote come out for a bit. Do you gnaw your hand off, or take a chance of waking her and attempt to remove it from under her?

Was Yuriria really a mistress though?

The twins were selfish at that point. They didn't think at all about Valentina and Samuel and how they would be affected at the school. Can't blame them for not thinking about it, but they could have done it in a different way.

Also didnt like that Sammy believes Jorge's at complete fault for their mother abandoning them too.

Anon 1:17, "Was Yuriria really a mistress though?" That was what I was wondering too. We know that Jorge would go spend time with his second family, but did he and Yuri keep up their "relationship?" My guess would be "once in a blue moon" (ha! another saying :-)...if they were that much in love with each other...

Kirby, "It was funny when Mauled awoke with Kicka$$, and looked like "Oh nooooo, what have I done?"" That was hilarious! I also noted your comment "whatever happened with everything but his boxers off???" seriously, who wakes up with their boxers on after a night like that? And what woman gets up covering herself with a sheet? Yeah, I know...it's a TN...and on prime time :-)

WOW..Thank you, Cynthia, for another snappy recap.

WOW.thank you, patio peeps , for all your great comments. On fire today, team!!! Good medals four everyone!!!

Too many gems to quote, but Niecie's shout out to Maury to a future kicking of Kika's a** to the curb will be hard to forget. With that lowcut dress , I could not help but think of a debate that Dr. Carlos and I had many years ago regarding whether a certain actress's charms were natural or purchased. Let's just say that i think that Kika got her money's worth on that transaction. Also, I think it was Melinama (Jane) who coined the phrase "oranges on a pencil."

I agree that it was time to bring the kids into his home. I got a kick out of Jorge making room in the closets. It is lucky that the mids each have two twin beds in their rooms and that there is a sister and brother joining the family. Everything fell into place, and I think that the twins will be good influences on Val and Sam.

The previews look very hopeful !!!

Congrats , Judy, on Ohio.

RGV that getting up in a sheet thing is the best. Now I don't know about in Mexico, but around here we just have a (usually) fitted sheet on the bottom and a flat top sheet. In a TN recently she got up wrapped in the sheet, then he was shown lying on the bed ON TOP of the bottom sheet with a THIRD top sheet partially covering him. My beanie spun around backwards.!

Mistress Mistrery: Jorge had kept a relationship of some sort going with Yuiria as we saw in that 'Family Portrait' Waldo so cleverly used. Dulce was convinced there was something going on, though her opinion is worth about two cents or less, and it surely would not be far fetched, as RGV mentions, if Yuiria was really the luuuurve of his (miserable) life.

Chickie, "what woman gets up covering herself with a sheet?".....ha

A woman in a telenovela??? Final answer .

Wow,just got to the TV and last night's show did not record! And it's not up yet on On Demand. Glad I have the recap and comments but sure am dying to see the actual show.

Thanks Susanlynn and Jarifa. We Buckeyes are really excited right now because our team was expected to be in the Big 10 Basement this year. So sometimes we gush. And our Patio Pals are nice enough to put up with it.

"Good medals four everyone!!!

Bipolar Autocorrect?

Susy, my autocorrect suddenly changed without my having done anything. NOW if I mistype a word, it highlights the troubling word and offers suggestions, but no matter which one I choose, it instead says, "Added to dictionary"

AAArrrrghhh. Do they ever wonder why I seem to need a new phone every four or five months?

Kirby...I give up on this tiny keyboard and the autocorrect on this 7" tablet. My better 8" tablet is dying , I think, because it does not keep the charge very long. Let' s try again..."gold medals for everyone."

Maybe I will go old school and send out postcards with my comments to everyone...check your mailboxes.

Last night, Hubba was wandering through the living room and stopped briefly to comment on Anifer's squeaking. There might have been a curse word or two mixed in with the thoughts.

Kirby....Hubba's old cellphone keeps losing the charge or locking up. He has been researching what to buy to replace it. Very confusing comparing apples to oranges...so to speak. I have a track phone , but he doesn't want that. Technology.uff.

Take the favorite to Batteries Plus and have a new battery put in. Tablets are not like most phones, where you just pop off the back and put in your new battery from Ebay.

If that is not the way Anifer talks in real life, she should be getting time and a half for being able to stay in character night after night.

BTW I knew what you meant, I just saw an opportunity to have some fun with your tablet.

Kirby...thanks so much for the information . I looked up Batteries Plus and found one near us. I will give it a try.

Screen shots are now up! Please excuse the delay.

Hey, isn't there an emotional statue of limitations? Say someone did you wrong, but it was like eighty, o rmaybe fifteen years ago, you just have to let it go?

#askingforafriend

Thanks for the great screen shots Cynthia. That will have to hold me until pokey old On Demand gets the episode up.
#noinstantgratification

Thanks everyone, I've enjoyed reading through your comments!

I think Baldo went about this all wrong. He's just angry and lashing out at Jorge trying to get revenge. He feels hurt and so he is wrongly doing something to hurt his father. I don't care what Jorge has done in the past, he needs to forgive. Forgiveness is the only thing that releases you from all that anger. Baldo is looking for Jorge to send him back to TJ, so he is acting out. There are better ways to go about this. Public humiliation is not the way to go as Val and Sam were there. They did nothing to deserve this.

Regarding mistress vs. concubine: Actually in polygamous societies, a concubine is kind of a 2nd class legal wife. So if a man had a sexual relationship with a concubine, it was not considered to be adultery. King Solomon had 700 wives and 300 concubines. Not that the Lord approved of that, but just a statement of fact for that society. So then a "mistress" would be secret "other woman" where a man is having an affair or stepping out on his wife.

I am not so sure that Jorge had been "carrying on" with Yuri while married to Dulce. It just sounds like Jorge got her pregnant right before his marriage to Dulce, then Yuri just kind of disappeared for a while, then surfaced again. It sounds like Jorge was doing the right thing in supporting his children. I am sure that with Dulce this was a sore spot because she knew that money was going out to Yuri and the children instead of staying in their household. Maybe they could have lived in a bigger house, but Jorge was supporting two families. I thought it was awful that everyone in the audience was screaming verbal attacks on him. Like I said, "He who is without sin, cast the first stone."

Cynthia, thanks for the additional screenshots, very nice. I especially liked Kika fanning herself, that was a fun scene.

"King Solomon had 700 wives and 300 concubines." Oh, that poor guy!

:-)

Cynthia, I agree that Baldo needs to forgive. But that takes time. Lots of time. And everything I've read indicates that it is is harder, and takes longer, for males to forgive than for females. So we can hardly expect a adolescent like Baldo to instantly forgive and forget. But, granted, the awful scene at the school was certainly the wrong way to go about bringing out the truth.

But, it's just a story, just a story. Interesting though how it will trigger our own squishy spots and deeply held beliefs about how to conduct our lives.

Judy...so true. Forgiving is hard , especially when you are young or when when someone you love has been hurt.

As Kirby pointed out, Jorge is all those four kids have now, so.....

Susanlynn, taking a break from m closet cleaning . I wish that Renee was here to help me

Kirby....#askingforafriend ..ha....well, I have one particular person whom I have been trying to forgive for about ten years now....#toosoon

LOL..."Susanlynn, taking a break from m closet cleaning . I wish that Renee was here to help me"

Susanlynn, Renee is a hot shot painter too. I need some rooms painted so I want her to help me too!

Susanlynn, actually, was asking for Kika..........Frenemy with benefits :-)

Love the screenshots, Cynthia!

Cynthia....loved the screencaps !

I guess we are in for a tale of the virgin taming the swinging bachelor.

I wonder if all these mysteries are going to finally be resolved and make sense.....can we even hopeo that might actually happen?

You know what I am enjoying the most? Seeing Mauricio loving Anifer and being so affectionate. He has evolved into a very loving father. The things he says to her like "que cosas tan hermosas" or "mocosa más latosa de me reino." It really is cute as he is being demonstratively affectionate as father should love his daughter with hugs and everything.

Now if for any reason she doesn't turn out to be truly his child, I'm going to be very upset. But in TN land, who knows what will happen. Or if Maria is truly alive (isn't there some suspicion about her death or do I have the wrong impression?) since people come back to life after being believed to be dead in TNs, if Maria takes Anifer away from Mauricio. He really is fitting well into his fatherly shoes.

I wonder who the mystery man is with the big black stone ring?

Cynthia..I have a funny feeling that Maria is alive , but that doesnt mean that she will still be alive at the end of this tn. I think that whether or not Maury is Ani's biological father, learning to love a child unselfishly and unconditionally is part of his hero's journey of becoming a better man. I think that he and Renee and Ani will save Logatoys together and become a happy family ..probably with a baby on the way at the finale.

Cynthia, I agree 100 percent. The best part of this show is seeing Mauricio morph into a loving gentle affectionate Father from the worthless louse we met earlier.

Actually even better than craning my neck waiting for Kika's sheet to snag on something.:-)

Woof

Thanks Cynthia!

I haven't been commenting on this one as of late because I'm trying to keep up with Caer since we care so close to the end.

I think Baldo and Lily felt they had no choice but to expose Jorge and yes some revenge was mixed up in it. They see Jorge's other kids going to a private school, acknowledged as his children, not skipped under some rug and Jorge wants to keep them living separate, going to a public school, unacknowledged. They have just lost their mother and find out their father cast them aside all of these years. Jorge has only taken ownership now because he has no choice. Lily and Baldo have every right to go after him.

Also, I think Baldo referred to his mother as he thinks Jorge viewed her.

I agree the best part of this show is Mau and Anifer's growing relationship.

Who else thinks Kika will now be the one to spill the beans to Ani? It will hurt her immeasurably.

So who is the old dude? Mau and Fabs fathers are dead. Both of their mom's are too. Old employee? Do we know how Mau's dad died? Or how Fab's mom and dad died? They are both pretty young to have all sets of parents gone. And both are only children. Pretty parallel lives for Mau and Fab.

OMG maybe big stone ring old guy is Aristotle Kika...er Braun.

Could be Kirby and Kika is part of it. Mau thinks Kika's investment will help him against Falcone but maybe it is just a plot for Falcone, or old dude, just to get a bigger stake in company.

Gooooood Morning Patty Oh !

Carvivlie I wonder if you will even read this, as you said you are busy with 'Fun with Dick in Jane'. CET

I am lost why Falcon or anyone for that matter, except for Mauricio for sentimental reasons, would expend much effort or money to get Logatoys. It is like stealing a car with an empty tank, blown up engine and bald tires.

Logatoys does not have a secret connection to drug smuggling, or enough corporate goodwill to make the company desirable. The product line is apparently in shambles and not selling, and the contract or two they DO have is an albatross around their neck, losing, rather than making money.

The majority of the core employees are gone, leaving Gladys as what appears to be remaining star employee.

So why does Falcon bother? Anybody's guess is better than mine. Kika's motives began as clear as something from the Windex ad, but has begun to be sidetracked by a healthy dose of estrogen. Poor thing.

I was at first suspicious of Kika's butting heads with Falcon as I wondered if it was a smokescreen, but as we have seen more about her I believe now that she is just forked up enough to do what she is doing.

And of course in any TN, everybody has a boss somewhere, so we have Old Dude to figure out now. He adds another level of cornfuzion. You could convince yourself that Falcon is just dumber than a box of rocks, but then we have a clandestine conspiracy of sorts with Falcon, OD, and that little Juan Perez guy who showed Mau where Mama Anifer supposedly died. What do all these people want?

Hi Kirby, I'm here. I agree Logatoys is in trouble. They do seem to be still chugging along though. Some investors target distressed businesses so who knows. Falcon or old dude could intend to use the production equipment to build something else. Mau, and I guess Fab, are the only ones that have a sentimental reason for hanging on. If Mau isn't allowed to sell then they have to take away his power and since the company isn't public, they have to Logatoys in financial trouble so Mau can be beholden to more investors.

Jorge say, “I just don’t want you doing anything foolish. I will trust you.” Famous last words. .... :-)

What goes around comes around Jorge ole boy. People, even your own children, can't trust you.

Have we ever known whether Dulce knew about Baldo and Lil? I don't remember it ever coming up.

She for sure accused Jorge of having an affair with Yuriria, but no mention of kids.

With the Olympics over, I now need to rely solely on this one TN for my media delivered entertainment. Thankfully the weather has begun to neutralize any real need for television and other non-participation entertainment.

I don't think Dulce knew of the other family but knew his heart wasn't hers. Also, she complained about the lack of money he spent and if she had known about the other kids i think she would have left him long ago.

I think the winter Olympics are my favorite. The athletes seem to have more fun, maybe because their are a lot of team events. The summer Olympics feel more serious.

Dulce doesn't know about the other kids, but she suspected Jorge of cheating on her with Yuriria. I don’t think she ever loved Jorge either though, because when complaining about the reason why she’s leaving him she spoke mostly about the luxurious life he promised but never gave her.

Good Day, Patio Peeps.

Interesting thoughts about "Who's Who in the Loco World of Logatoys." One person of interest is Kika's father, but how would he have known about Maria...since Juan Perez is in that mystery group. Also, if Juan Perez is not who he says he is, Falcon may not be who he says he is, could the old stone guy be a proxy?

I still think that the plot against Mau and Logatoys comes down to revenge for something either Mau or his father did. Could Mau or Fabian have some unknown uncle that is behind all this??

Hello, all.

I just read all of your interesting theories about the corporate intrigues. I live with hopeo that the writers have given these storylines as much thought you guys have.

I thought that the preview was..hopeful. Can't wait to see what happens next.

P.s. Still watching The Office reruns. Still overcast and dismal outside. Meh.

OMG I just don't know any more with this story. They have covered almost everything man has dreamed up. Jorg's Father and Whoever the other fun loving fellow was. Kika, 'the boys', Neuron and Flo, on and on....The only subject these writers h\ave not mined is if maybe someone is related to a farm animal.

Woof

:-)

I was must looking at the photo with the title. Olan Mills did a great job capturing the happy (?) Family.

Put a few feathers on them, Susy, and I'll make that photographer look like an the studio at WalMart.

:-)

Teehee..I do not doubt that for one little minute !!!

Actually, I was trying to see if the kids really looked much younger.

And if they do, I am curious how that would be done.

I mean, how many years can you take off?

#woulditworkinaselfie

Good morning, peeps. Rise and shine.

I wonder who is making breakfast at Jorge's this morning.

Might be time for Jorge to lend a hand, don't you think?

I'm guessing Yuriria trained her girl and boy to share in the chores. Anyhoo, I'm hoping the two lead a mutiny at the breakfast table about division of labor.

JudyB. Jorge has been so busy juggling so many lies he has hardly had time to do anything else.

Now that Baldo and Lil have unceremoniously relieved him of carrying on that facade, he should have a little more time for his (growing, it seems) famalia.

Susy, Sam and Val are having pancakes, Baldo and Lil went to McDonalds, and Jorge is having a bowl of 2% over DORITOS.

Good Morning.

Good Morning, Patio Pals!

2% over Doritos? Sounds interesting! They may just be having some Sugar(less) SMACKS or not-so Cheer(ful)ios! But they really should be having LOTS of Hopeos and Justice Juice :-)

"2% over Doritos"....that made me gag a little !

Next question for the patio ....Do you think that Drunkika and DrunkMaur really bunnyhopped , or did Kika have a really good dream?

" really bunnyhopped" I think that is like "No calories below 20 degrees weather" hot chocolate .

If one of you can't remember it, it didn't happen.

Would Kika lie? Does a wild bear.................

Every time I see Kik in one of those skirts with those legs I think of Jif.
Easy to spread.

Sheezo, I hopeo none of these kissing, hopping people come down with the flu. !

Yo Baldo. meet your new step Mom...
Dulce, this is Baldo...

Um...
Yeah looks like he IS glad to see you.

:-)
