Caer en Tentacion #92/93, 2/15/18: The truth is out
Recap is done!
The truth comes out. Federico has followed Damian and has seen him with Carolina, he walks up to Damian's car and demands that he get out of the car and answer his questions.
Demian: Federico, please calm down"
Federico:" Don't ask me to calm down! You're cheating on mom!"
Damian:"what did you see?"
Federico:"I saw everything! Don't treat me like I'm stupid! I followed you here, I've been following you all along. I saw your attitude change, I saw how nervous you got when your phone rang, and it was because of Carolina, right? Have the decency to look me in the eyes and tell me the truth!"
Damian: " Yes, I have a relationship with Carolina."
Federico reproaches Damian for never looking at his mom the same way he looks at Carolina, and for cheating on her with his best friends mother, the wife of his business partner and his mother's best friend. He wants an explanation, all Damian can say is that he fell in love and could not help it, he is human and makes mistakes, just like anyone else. Federico wants to know if Damian plans on telling Raquel the truth but of course the answer to that is no, because Damian is a coward. Federico goes to answer Raquel's phone calls and Damian looks like he is going to pee his pants.
This is the major difference between Mia and Federico. Mia seems to want to have a perfect family, but all Federico wants is for his mom not to be hurt, Mia could use a dose of his humanity.
The present:
Antonio goes to see Damian in the hospital, since he will be transferred to his home he should be able to ask him a few questions. The doctor is all like "I don't care what you do, I already did my job". Antonio shows him pictures of Blas and the other baddy whose name I can't remember, he asks Damian if he knows the men and Damian says "no", then he is shown a picture of Vicente, does he know this man? Was he at the scene of the accident? Damian starts getting agitated and says "no"- "then you killed Carolina Rivas!"- Damian has a crisis and the doctor and nurse remove Antonio from his room. Damian has a flashback to the night of the accident, and Vicente is there, and he is attacking Carolina!
Antonio then meets with Godoy, they have a problem, the judge wants this case closed, the Beckers are putting pressure on him for the investigation to go away and Damian has gone from a person on interest to a simple witness. If they can't close the case soon they will both be removed from the case. Antonio thinks Damian's PTSD is only a way to get out of answering questions.
Benjamin finally comes home, and Nico and Fede make up, and Santiago tells Raquel that everything will be okay and that they will be together soon.
Andres wants Laura to go on the air and get people to change their opinion on the Becker/Rivas case he wants it to look like a mugging gone wrong, then they sleep together. Ewwwwww.
Vicente is in the jail with Rueda, he wants Blas to be caught ASAP and he tells Rueda to ask Andres where the money Damian was going to bring him the night of the accident went. Rueda has no idea about any money and Vicente tells him "I guess your client doesn't tell you everything"
Alina and Santiago meet, she tells him she has a man that can take care of Juan. Santiago is horrified, he would never kill anyone. Alina's all like "I was totally joking, dude!"- she says she was testing him to see what kind of man he is. She tells him that she hired a PI that's been following Juan and once he knows where he is she will give the information to the police. Then she confesses her love for him and b*tch must be crazy! Does she really think that Santiago will want anything to do with her after she slept with his son?
Well, this is all a setup. Alina made this whole thing up to be able to leave town with Santiago and she made sure that Nicolas knew she was with his father. Santiago told Raquel he was going out of town - but he did not tell her he was leaving with Alina.
Ugh, now the hardest part of the episode for me.
Damian is being transferred home, the plan was for him to be set up downstairs in the studio but Miriam and Mia take advantage of the fact that Raquel is not home and instruct the workers to set all of Damian's things in the bedroom. This cause Raquel to have a meltdown and it was painful to watch.
Raquel sits in her room with Jovita and cries, having Damian in the house is going to driver her crazy, she also feels humiliated and like she's not strong enough to put a stop to the people in her life who just walk all over her. Then she calls Santiago and tells him that he still has time to leave her and her drams, but Santiago loves her and tells her everything will be okay.
In the past:
Damian and Fede both come home, they tell Raquel that they bumped into each other and then Damian goes to talk to Fede. Mia listens outside the door until Raquel removes her. Damian again tells Fede that he is sorry and that he is only human and prone to making mistakes. Fede then tells Damian that if he feels so badly about the situation he should fix it by breaking up with Carolina, if he does not Fede will move out and Damian will never see him again.
Mia takes matters into her own hands and asks Damian in front of Raquel what he and Fede talked about and why it is that Fede saw him with another woman.
Fede confirms that their dad is having an affair and tells Mia it is not with Carolina.
Damian and Carolina meet up, he tells her that Federico knows everything and that they can not continue to hide. They either stop seeing each other (for ever, ever) or they come clean. They already tried staying away from each other and that did not work, so their only option now that Federico has caught them is to come clean. They will hurt a lot of people in the process but they started this together and they need to end it together. Damian suggests that they leave, he has made contact with his investors in the US and they can probably speed things up nd leave in three months time.
Fede shows up at Carolina's front door, "hello traitor, don't try to deny anything, I know the truth."
I don't know why I laughed when he called her that, but I did!

Princess--Thanks for saving me. Thank you for the beginning of what will be a masterful recap. I left a rant at the end of Wednesday's comments--which describe how I feel about the Truth coming out now. Poor Fede, having to keep mum for another couple of months.

Anita, not only that but he has no one to talk to about what's going on. He can't talk to Mia and he can't talk to Nico, I felt so bad when he kept asking his dad "what am I supposed to do, tell me what to do!"
Nina, when Raquel walks in and realizes that Damians medical supplies are going upstairs rather than the study she asks what's going on and Mia and Miriam tell her Damian will be staying upstairs with her, Miriam then asks her "don't you want things to be the same again Raquel? to which Raquel replies "somethings will be the same, but a lot of things won't"

So we do not know who the person was who beat up Carolina at the accident. So far we have two suspects: Vincente and Fede which is what the writers want us to think. But somehow there are a lot of loose ends to this accident: who was in the car that Carolina saw when they stopped? Did she see Fede or Vincente or someone else? Did the person in the car attack Carolina? Did the person in the car call the ambulance since the robbers had to flee shortly after the accident and couldn't fully rob Damian. Who shot Carolina? who buried her? Who threw the gun away with Damian's fingerprints. Did our crack investigative team get any DNA from (a) Carolina's body, (b) the gun, (c) the shovel? It is not impossible for a good forensic team to extract DNA from a good set of prints. We seem to have left out Mia from the scene. Perhaps she did Carolina in! Oh, the humanity of it all! Stay tuned... Two more weeks...
This is a postscript: I feel sorry for Damian now that he has been returned to the loving care of his family... Seems premature to have released him from the hospital but then again his doctor told Antonio that he, the doctor, was done with Damian. (Antonio has become quite the bully now that his investigation is on the line with the judge. He has as much--or even less --patience with suspects as Godoy has. A real crack team.)

I had the same reaction during the scene when Laura slept with Andres. Disgusting.
Santiago is naive to trust Alina. I can’t believe he has to be reminded that Alina seduced his son. There’s a fine line between professional and personal.
I’m glad Fede confronted Damian (and Carolina). Damian knows what he’s doing is wrong but doesn’t do anything to stop. An apology is not enough.
I hope Damian’s nurse/PT whatever doesn’t put the moves on Raquel.

Vic had his own vehicle. He would use the Legato vehicle only if he knew about it and where the keys were. Surely Caro would have seen that he was not in his own car, if it had been Vic.
Regrettably, that leaves Fede and/or Mia--maybe together and Mia was scrunched down in the passenger seat and Fede was wearing a wool cap (instead of the interminable passado where Nico had to wear it).

Oh, and based on Ant's and Nando's laying out the crime scene on their story board, the toll booth was actually not that far from the accident scene, not that that clears up anything.

Juju--The last scene I remember seeing was Alina and Santi arriving at the hotel. There was some reason why they didn't go up to their room(s) right away. So Alina suggested they go to the bar for a drink. The avances show us a tried and true telenovela trope. Too bad.

In Dam's flashback, someone is choking Caro. Dam is saying, "Suelte la." Let her go. So, they were both outside the car when this assault was going on. In Dam's flashback, someone is choking Caro. Dam is saying, "Suelte la." Let her go. So, they were both outside the car when this assault was going on. The attacker's voice sounded just like Vincente, the quick shot certainly looked like him but I wouldn't swear to it. Beside the fact Fede now seems too obvious, I cannot see him murdering Caro. The crying boy we saw was hurt and crushed. For himself, for his mother. Did that pain turn to murderous rage? I don't think it was either.
I also can't believe the writers would have BOTH of Raquel's children commit murder.
I agree with you that the hardest scene to watch was Raquel's broken spirt after seeing Damian' bed and belongings brought into HER bedroom. But Raquel is a strong woman and once her pain subsides a bit, I hope she starts throwing the furniture down the stairs herself.
Santi is not only clearly oblivious, he clearly isn't thinking. He didn't recognize Caro's deception, Flor's adoration and now, Alina's machinations. There has to be some reason he would go after Alina told him she loved him (as you pointed out Urban) and after Raq threatened to leave him. The only thing I can think of is that he truly feels Alina is his one and only option to save his daughter. And is there any truth at all to her knowing Juan's whereabouts??
I'm not surprised Laura slept with Andres. I also think she slept with Juan and that who she was with the night Godoy turned up some time ago. I still think Alina is worse.
Is new hawt guy (Arturo) really a therapist or is he a plant? And yes, Mia looked very interested. God help him.
And I'm still wondering how the hell Juan got into Lola's house to leave that note...Well, they never check to seewho is knocking so perhaps they never lock the door.

Santi *does* go to Ant and tells him about Alina's contact finding Juan. Ant tells him not to believe it. He's probably some petty criminal. She knows plenty of them. Ant warns him about Alina and asks him to let the police do their job. Santi is a stubborn hot-head and won't listen.

Princess thank you. I’m late to the party all I can add is that Alina is a pig. To suggest killing Juan should trigger disgust on Santi’s part but he is a dumb bell.

Santi should never have gone to see Raquel. Giving her the rose as he lied through his teeth was terrible. After everything she has been through, lying is the last thing she needs. Shame on him.
What amazes me is that every episode is a short story in and of itself. The action continues unabated as fascinating side stories jockey for position.

And for a police department to close a case that still isn't conclusive is despicable.
