Caray, Caray!

Santiago continues to grill Damian for a confession.  There's a knock at the door.  Dam isn't giving in or giving up.  Raquel lets Godoy into the living room.  Godoy gets testy since Santi won't shut the eff up and let him "do his job."  (Where's her attorney, big guy?)  Godoy needs to know where Raq was the night of the accident.  Dam, sullen and bleary-eyed, suddenly opens up and says Vicente was beating up Carolina. Supposedly Dam killed Caro while trying to save her from a savage beating.  (Oops.)Raq is mum and frightened.  She tells Godoy that Dam is not in his right mind, not thinking clearly.  Godoy disagrees.  Raq tells him to keep quiet; he doesn't need to say an incriminating word!!  Dam ignores her and admits to the crime.  Godoy calls it in to Antonio and they all wait for the paddy wagon to take him in.


⦁ At Casa Alvaro, they are once again hit with a case of the glums while contemplating the damning pictures of their mother with her lover.  Bebo tries to keep the peace between the doubting Lola and the defending Nicolas.  "Dad had the pictures in his room!  He had to have known and then must have done her in!"  Nico screams back that it's bad but Dad is not capable of such a thing no matter how bad he was hurting!!

⦁ Miriam, meanwhile, is suffering from legal delirium.  Rueda comes to warn her that Azucena had all sorts of incriminating documentation that damns them all for money-laundering, not just Andres like her naive championing Federico believes.  "--Where are the papers?  Who has them now?"   "--It doesn't matter!  Wake up and smell the cafe, Mimi!  We're all in this up to our criminal eyeballs."  If you're smart you'll hightail it like me to the nearest country where extradition is a dirty word!  "--And my grandson?" He rolls his eyes at her.  "--This is where I get off.  Game over, Miriam."  He leaves her in the proverbial legal lurch.

⦁ Back at los Alvaro, Mia bangs at the door.  She walks in and asks what's going on.  It's been a while already.  (Puppy dawg therapist trails in behind her expectantly.)  Dam tells her it's finished.  He did it.  She questions this move.  Godoy tells all there that once Tonio arrives they'll take Dam in and charge him.  As for Raq, she still has to give her version of where she was the night of the accident.  Raq looks sheepish as hell and sick to her stomach.  Santi says hold on, she's not being accused of anything now; Damian's already confessed to the killing.  "--Yes. But, if she was not driving her car, then who was?" (Will somebody effing say something already ?????!!!!)

⦁ 3 hours prior to The Accident: Feddy and Mia are well aware that that was a big "adios" hug and not the "nos vemos" [see ya soon] kind.  "--Dad's running away with Carolina!  What can we do?"  Feddy tells Mia he'll figure something out.  It's his place, not hers, this time!

⦁ Dam and Caro plan to meet up at the same gas station plaza as usual on the highway to Valle while Santi makes plans to meet his P.I..  He lies to the kids that he's seeing a client.  And Feddy decides to wait at the gas plaza to see if the Papi and Caro meet up there as usual like he figures.  

⦁ Dam's car breaks down at the plaza and Azu arranges for a rental. 

⦁ At los Becker, Raq tells Jovita she had bad vibes from that last hug of Dam's this morning.  She's got a bad feeling this time he is not coming back.  Feddy and Mia lie to Raq about meeting friends and then leave in Raq's new car.

⦁ When the Paw Patrol finally arrives, Raq asks Santi what's going to become of her now?  "--Well, you'll carry on as usual.  Your kids need you and I love you and need you."  Lola and Nico arrive home just as the others drive off.  They stop Santi from following and say they have something to ask him about first.  They bring up the pictures.  "--Did you have Mom followed????"

⦁ At Legato, Andres has the narcotrafficante's goons get rid of Azu's body.  At the police station, Laura secretly receives a confidential file of Vice and Garrido's confession about their part in the causes of the accident from the techie cop who'd been tracking things on the video tapes of the toll plaza's.

⦁ Andres goes to Mimi's and threatens her with a gun if she doesn't tell him where those incriminating files.  She doesn't know.  Feddy'd fish food if she doesn't fess up!!  Mimi's whimpering but again says she does not know who has them now.  Andres loses patience with her controlling personality.  He tells her to turn around and then bashes her on the head with the gun before racing off on his quest again.

⦁ Laura reads how Vice got drunk that afternoon:

        He was in a grand mood and celebrating at the local bar because he was going to meet up with Dam for one last payment which was going to make him and his kid and Lisa financially carefree for the rest of their lives.  Garrido shows up and he and his sidekick pump Vice in between "tragos" of tequila for all the details of the meet.  They make their plans to ambush Dam and Caro on that deserted highway that evening and lick their lips in anticipation.  

Laura writes her notes and then calls her program director and tells him she's got it all and she's going to blow the doors on this case very soon.

⦁ Cinthia tells Feddy that his dad just confessed to killing Caro and he and his mother are on their way to the police station to make their statements.  Feddy heads out and is ambushed by Andres, who is still packing heat and waving it in Feddy's face.  (Feddy somehow knows that Alina has the documents I believe Azu told him?)  They drive off together just as Jovita gets a call from a revived Mimi who warns Jovita to take care of Feddy because Andres has it out for him.  Jovita tells SinCin.

⦁ Santi admits to having Caro followed but he was too afraid to look at the photos of her with another man, Dam or whoever.  (I couldn't quite get what he was saying here.)  It was odd, strange, and he finally knew the truth but hadn't the capability of doing anything about it.  He leaves for the police station.

⦁ While waiting to give her statement, Raq asks Mia what she knows about that night and the accident--she wasn't really out at any friends with Feddy, right?  Mia admits that she and Feddy followed their dad and saw him meet up with Caro at the gasoline plaza as he'd suspected they would.  They continued following them.

⦁ Vice and Dam are sitting beside each other and Antonio has told them to start talking or else.  Vice finally admits to waiting for a last payoff that day:

Vice sees the rental car get hit with the brick Dam losing control of the car, ending up at the bottom of the ravine and needing help to get himself and Caro out of the wreckage.  He has to run up to get a shovel out of the back of his car.  (Seriously??  He just happens to have one in the trunk?? Had he planned to bury his blackmailed monedas with it or what?)  Vice races down and smashes the windows out with it, eventually getting Dam and Caro free of the car.

⦁ Vice was so angry though about the missing money--there was only a bunch of blank papers and trash inside the duffle bag (courtesy of Andres, I believe).  He started beating Dam with a brick/rock and then when Caro got her wits about her and started to stumble off, he went racing after her.  He was crazy mad and began slapping her around.  He lost his balance suddenly and fell back down another rocky, tree-rutted ravine, just as a shot rang out.  He didn't/couldn't see a thing.  

⦁ Caro falls down dead.  Grief-stricken, Dam gets up and full of adrenalin, races over to her.  He's screaming and crying over her dead body, hugging her.  "--Nooooo!!  My love!!!  Noooo!!"  He picks her lifeless body up and stumbles back the other direction towards the highway yelling for help. "--Help us!! Help!!"
