Papa a Toda Madre #32 3.1.18: Be Careful What You Wish For
Mauricio tries to explain to Renee why he is marrying Kika, but Renee doesn’t care anymore. She announces that she is leaving his house, much to Mauricio’s shock.
At home, Samuel tries to smash his fingers on his closet door but can’t bring himself to do it. He asks his online “friends” if they can have him do something else but they tell him to do what they asked or there will be consequences. After a few failed attempts, he decides to do it but is interrupted by Valentina, who calls him down to eat. He sighs and closes his computer before running downstairs.
Veronica and Tono sit at their dining room and go over the grocery list. Tono suggests they go to the supermarket tomorrow but Veronica shakes her head and he tells her that he forgot who wins the big bucks. Veronica apologizes again for finding the truck without asking for his input but Tono decides to let it go. They discuss what groceries they should buy, as the children’s needs and tastes are evolving, as Veronica receives a text from work. She asks Tono for 20 minutes, so she can answer, and he makes her promise it won’t be longer before going upstairs for a jacket.
In her room, Kika celebrates her engagement with a drink when there is a knock on the door. Much to her annoyance, it’s Fabian, who came to congratulate her as well though he’s unsure Mauricio is as serious about the engagement as she is. Kika thinks he’s just mad because she chose Mauricio or him, but she has a challenge for him: confess the truth about their tryst and see who Mauricio choses. Kika thinks she will win, as Mauricio adores her, and she can give him back the life of luxury he misses, but Fabian doesn’t want to hurt his brother. However, he reiterates that Anifer is still a danger to her and she can make or break her relationship with Mauricio. Kika nods and considers this.
At Jorge’s, the four siblings sit down with their father to have lunch. Baldo is surprised Jorge has the time to eat with them so Jorge states that he is busy with work, but he doesn’t have to give them any explanations. He then asks all four to join hands to say grace, but the twins don’t want to. Jorge suggests they get with the program, and be humble, but Lili chides him for leaving Pablo outside, without food, when he’s hungry. Jorge explains that he has no obligation to feed the hungry but offer work to the needy, so he has done his part. Either way, he doesn’t know Pablo and everyone who eats at his table will say grace or not eat. The twins finally relent and join hands as Jorge says grace.
Renee is adamant about leaving and asks Mauricio to not try to convince her otherwise. Mauricio wonders if it’s because of his engagement but Renee shakes her head, shocked that he continues to think himself the center of the universe. She also reminds him that Kika hates them leaving together but Mauricio states that she can’t leave Anifer in the lurch like this because she loves her too much and he’s sure Renee loves Anifer as well. Renee asks him not to make her feel guilty and Mauricio tries to call a truce, because he is merely stating the truth, but Renee won’t have it. Mauricio leaves the decision to her up to her.
The twins try to leave Jorge’s house and go out, but he reminds him that they are punished and aren’t going anywhere. He suggests they bond with their siblings, Valentina, and Samuel, to pass the time but neither of them wants to. After a moment, Jorge declares that they will play together and that’s final. Samuel reluctantly goes to get the game as Jorge gets back to work on Logatoy’s affairs.
Tono and the children wait for Veronica to finish work, so they can go to the supermarket and the movies, but she suggests they go ahead, return with the groceries, and then they can all go to the movies. She asks Tono to take the truck but Tono prefers his car. Veronica insists he take the truck as it’s more spacious but Tono shakes his head. The children beg him to take the truck but Tono is adamant. Veronica then gives him some cash, as his credit cards are maxed out, and Tono takes it.
Renee crosses her arms and tells Mauricio that she won’t change her mind, but he should give Anifer time to adjust to her new situation with Kika. Mauricio confesses that he and Anifer need her, so she should stay and Kika will adjust to their living situation. Renee will be close, but she refuses to continue living with him. Mauricio wonders if she will get back with Lupe but Renee argues that she won’t live with someone for convenience. In fact, she will only live with someone she loves but realizes her mistake and tries to explain what she meant, unsuccessfully. Throughout this, Mauricio turns his head this way and that, trying to understand, but finally relents, accepts her departure, and apologizes for not believing the truth about Kika. He does ask that she not leave today and Renee nods. He then asks her for his father’s old videos, so they can see if they can find out the truth about what Kika told him.
As Jorge watches close by, the Turrubiates children continue to play their board game and finally get along. Jorge notices this and smiles wide, his plan successful.
At the supermarket, Tono tries to control his children but they keep dumping cookies and sweets into the cart. He threatens not to take them to the movies, but Fidel makes a puppy dog face and Tono gets one pack of cookies. Tania then suggests they race and Tono, ever the pleasant father, accepts and they take off through an aisle.
As they watch videos, Renee and Mauricio share deep, close glances. Neither will admit what they feel but their bodies say otherwise. Finally, Mauricio asks Renee to turn off the videos because he gets sad when he sees his mother. Renee obliges and asks if he ever wanted a sibling. Mauricio explains that his parents had trouble conceiving and they didn’t try again after he was born. After a moment, they turn their attention to the newspaper clippings but can’t make sense of what they find as there is no 100% certifiable story. Renee wonders why he wants to investigate the past, especially if Kika wants a clean slate with him, and Mauricio explains that living with Anifer has changed him and he has decided to clean his father’s name, however he can. Anifer arrives then and Renee and Mauricio immediately separate. Anifer notices the clippings and Mauricio explains that that is her grandparents and Anifer smiles while looking at the pictures. Renee and Mauricio pretend they won’t closer than close a few minutes ago but it’s obvious their passion continues to burn for each other.
The Turrubiates clan continue to play their game but Jorge notices they aren’t playing by the official rules and tries to course correct. Neither of the children want to follow the rules, as they agreed on their own set of rules, but Jorge insists they follow the rules to the T. After a few moments, Jorge finds himself alone at the table where his children were happily playing a few minutes ago, and all because he is a stiff and strict as an ironing board.
Mauricio leads Anifer to the dining room, so they can do homework but Anifer begs him to tell her more about her grandmother. Mauricio remembers that she was sweet and nice and told the best stories. He smiles when he says this and Anifer can’t help but notice how bright his eyes shine when he talks about his mother. Mauricio then tells her that his mother used to do the best magic tricks but died before she could share all she wanted to share with him. Anifer asks Mauricio what he would wish for if he could wish for anything and Mauricio confesses that he would want to see his mother again for two reasons: 1) to meet Anifer and 2) teach him everything she knows so Anifer has the best father in the world. Anifer smiles and tells him she will remember beautiful things about her father when she grows up. Mauricio smiles too but reminds her they have homework and insists they get to it.
That night, Tono has brought home ice cream, cookies, and potatoes but nothing on the list he and Veronica agreed on. He explains that the children begged and begged and Veronica sighs, exasperated. She tells him that he must be firm with the children or they will walk all over him. Tono nods and Veronica asks him to forgive her for the truck. She gives him a few kisses and Tono considers this. He accepts her kisses and suggests they go see a movie, but Veronica tells him that she still has some work and goes off to finish. Tono looks angry and annoyed.
Renee is tucking Anifer into bed when Mauricio arrives to give her a kiss goodnight. Renee leaves after he enters her room and suggests Mauricio tell Anifer about some new and important things before closing the door. Anifer looks at Mauricio, expectantly, and Mauricio explains that life has many twists and turns and now he is only missing one thing to be complete. Anifer is not following so Mauricio circles back to his parents and how sometimes his father used to lie but he wants things to be different. Anifer nods and Mauricio confesses that he has some things to tell her about Maria. Anifer perks up and confesses that she’s dying to see her, so she hopes she comes back soon. Mauricio smiles slightly but can’t bring himself to tell her the truth.
Later, Mauricio passes Renee in the living room and she asks him if he told Anifer the truth about Kika. Mauricio tells her that he didn’t, even though he should, but he doesn’t know how to do so. Renee reminds him that he is an adult and should face his problems. Mauricio nods and tells her that he’s changing, because of his love for Kika, but change is slow. Renee thinks his love for Kika has more to do with the things she can buy him and Mauricio nods. Renee suggests he break off the engagement then, but Mauricio explains that he is a man of his word and that’s final. Renee has given by this point and suggests he do what he sees fit.
Later, Tono is at the gazebo having a beer when Mauricio approaches. Tono offers him a beer and Mauricio decides to try it, even though he’s used to finer brews. He likes it and Tono thanks him for keeping the “Carola secret” especially because not even Veronica knows the truth. Mauricio promises to keep his secret but reminds him that lies are toxic. Tono thinks that he has only told white lies and insists that children must be kept in the dark by any means necessary, and Mauricio considers this. Tono argues that everyone lies everyone in a while, especially if they are benevolent lies, and Mauricio thinks he could be right. They toast and drink their beer.
The next day, at Logatoys, Kika meets with Mauricio and he tells her that he has his doubts about what her father told her about his father. Kika argues that her father doesn’t lie, especially because he went to prison in Communist China for 5 years, but Mauricio wonders if she heard the story from her father. Kika explains that she didn’t; her sister and her pieced it together. Mauricio would like to talk to her father then and Kika smiles wide because they can go to Miami together and deal with her father as well as finalize her investment, so he can out from under Falcon. Mauricio smiles too and Kika assures Mauricio that everything she has will be his and everything he ahs will be hers. Mauricio smiles.
Baldo goes outside his house to get ready for school and notices Flor walking with a grocery bag in one hand and pushing Milady’s stroller with another. He offers to help immediately, and she smiles, grateful.
In his office, Mauricio tells Fabian about his plans to go to Miami with Kika but Fabian wonders why he is so interested in his father’s past and why he insists on marrying Kika. Mauricio thinks it’s time to do so but Fabian thinks Kika is the same as Miranda, he only wants her for what she can give him. Mauricio is silent and Fabian wonders what Anifer will think. Mauricio warns him not to bring Anifer into this but Fabian is tired of being silent. He confesses to Mauricio that something is happening within him that he never expected: he is in love with Kika. Mauricio is floored.
Baldo drops off Flor’s groceries in her kitchen and she thanks him before asking that he be quiet as Neron and Milady are napping. Baldo offers to carry Milady so Flor can put away the groceries, but the baby throws up as soon as she’s in his arms. Flor takes the baby to her stroller and asks Baldo to take off his shirt while she gets him a new one. He obliges but the baby won’t stop crying. In the bedroom, Neron wakes up to his daughter’s screams and stands up to see what is happening. He walks in on Flor and a shirtless Baldo talking closely and grabs him by the throat. Flor is shocked as Neron warns Baldo to stay away from his woman before his splits his face open.
Mauricio can’t believe his brother is in love with the same Kika who he’s engaged to and Fabian confesses that he feels horrible and guilty because of his feelings. Mauricio can’t believe all the bad things that have happened to him all at once but tries to salvage his relationship with Fabian. He knows Kika is amazing, so it’s understandable Fabian loves her, but wonders if Kika had sent him any signals. Fabian explains that Kika has been faithful but thinks he should’ve stayed quiet as he doesn’t want to ruin their relationship. Mauricio considers this and tells Fabian that he never expected this, as he has always been resolved about his love life (to the point where Mauricio thought he was gay), but Fabian argues that he has had some girlfriends, though not as many as Mauricio.
Jorge stands outside his house and calls for all his children to come outside though he can’t find Baldo. In the car, Samuel gets a text asking if he’s a wimp because he hasn’t done the dare yet. As Jorge tries to get the girls in the car, Samuel tries to slam his fingers on the car door but is interrupted by the girls’ arrival. From across the street, Rodrigo and Rafael wave hello and watch as Jorge asks the girls about Baldo. They shrug, and Jorge promises to find him before slamming the driver’s side door on Samuel’s fingers. Samuel screams, and Rafael and Rodrigo run to see what happened. Jorge attends to Samuel as he begins to cry.
Mauricio tells Fabian that his feelings are only his and it’s perfectly okay. Fabian would like to take a couple of personal days and Mauricio agrees and suggests he find a nice girl to entertain him. Fabian nods and tells Mauricio that he will leave when he comes back from Miami and Mauricio agrees. Once alone, Mauricio tells himself that he always thought Fabian was gay but guess he was wrong.
Rafael demands Jorge tell him what happened, and Jorge argues that it was an accident. Rodrigo arrives with some ice for Samuel’s hand and Rafael tries to help but Jorge reminds him that he is an animal doctor, and everything is fine. Jorge then instructs the girls to find Baldo, so they can go to the hospital. He thanks Rafael and Rodrigo but bids them good day.
At the board meeting, Fabian explains that they are about to begin production on the mother/father toys, it’s only a matter of days. Mauricio claps and cheers and Falcon thinks Mauricio has been doing a good job of late. He then asks if Fabian and Mauricio will be overseeing the production of the toys, but Mauricio explains that Fabian is taking a well-deserved vacation. Gladys is happy he is, as Fabian is bitter as hell, but it will be after Mauricio gets back from Miami. Mauricio explains that he is going on a business trip with Kika, but Gladys doesn’t believe one word. Mauricio assures everyone that he will be back from Miami soon and then wonders where Kika is. Gladys explains that Kika is always late and sighs deeply.
Flor pulls Neron off Baldo and demands they calm down as no one is going to fight in her house or in front of her daughter. Neron demands Baldo leave but Flor explains that he did nothing, they were only laughing at the fact that Milady threw up on him and were whispering because he was asleep. Neron still wants him out and Baldo leaves in a huff. Once alone, Floris pissed that Neron would be so jealous, but he tells her to open her eyes as Baldo is lusting after her.
Outside, Valentina and Lili scream Baldo’s name throughout the whole cul-de-sac.
Mauricio arrives home to pick up Anifer, as Renee had to do something regarding her thesis and couldn’t drop her off at Logatoys. Renee finishes and gets up to leave but Anifer stops her and explains that she must do a presentation about the person she admires most in her family. Mauricio assumes it’s him and tells her some insignificant details but Anifer declares that she is going to do a presentation on her mother. Mauricio is taken aback, as he thought he was more important, but Anifer doesn’t notice his long face and goes off to draw. Once alone with Renee, she asks him why he cares so much as he wanted Anifer to see him as a friend or pal, not a father. Mauricio confesses that he did that for her benefit but never thought Anifer wouldn’t see him as a father. His face falls as he says this...

He was in the TN "Mañana Es Para Siempre" with Lucero & Fernando Colunga.
BUT the biggest news of the whole episode is......
Mauricio has SOCKS.
Un fricking believable...Look------------------------------------->
Minutes?
He needs to find out that his adorable Kika is boinking Fab. That might take some shine off of her for him.
But if she'd buy me a Berlinetta, she could do my Dad.
Kirby..thanks for the sock update. You are a keen observer. I guess a lot of us were not looking at Maury's socks. There is something about a guy in a crisp, white dress shirt...classic....but I don't !ike those dark patches on the elbows. Ru!li is classically handsome. He could be a statue.
Maite (Renee) has a beautiful face.
Yes I agree. Kaki is going to regret impulsively marrying Kika.
As they watch videos, Renee and Mauricio share deep, close glances. Neither will admit what they feel but their bodies say otherwise.
Yep, nuthin' like body language for eloquent communication. And that goes for your description of Jorge "as stiff and strict as an ironing board".
I've never been able to stay mad at Toño for long, he seems like a basically lovable schlumpf. But I really felt a lot of anger towards Jorge for not inviting Pablo to have lunch with them. He's definitely being painted as a Pharisee, law-oriented, but empty of heart. And the disappointed look on Pablo's face just haunted me. Of course I'm pretty sure Flor will feed him. She's a good soul.
Hmmm...remember Judy, this is JUST a story and the actor is certainly being well fed. Thanks again AAA, I'll enjoy this at my own lunchtime!
I liked Lili calling out Jorge on not inviting Pablo over to eat.
Jorge’s intrusion on the monopoly game said it all. Here is hoping all four kids band together and give him a rip in for his money.
One would have thought Flor was smart enough to know how jealous and insecure Nerón is. Not smart on her part allowing Baldo in the house.
I am glad Fabián came clean about his feelings for Kika.
Samuel got the smashed hand he wanted but couldn’t manage himself. The kid needs help.
Toño did not want to take the SUV. With Verónica still all apologetic and all over him, it looks like she won’t be leaving him anytime soon.
Mauricio did guilt Renée into staying with the Anifer touch!
It is nice to see Mauricio serious once in a while so we are reminded he is not just some vapid cartoon character of a man.
Yeah Pablo seems like such a nice boy, and he and Flor seem close too. I am surprised that Pablo does not set Neuron off. He is a much more sensible threat than Bald-chest. And here let me clear my throat a little.
WTF is wrong with Baldchest anyway? Jorge, forget the Monopoly rules, one of your kids appears to have a crack smoking problem.
Flor is a new Mom, it is too soon for her to be unfaithful yet. She actually IS in a committed relationship, though her child is a bastard from what we understand. Flor is HOT, Baldchest is room temperature. Though Neuron is a little older, he could still sweep the floor with your wormy looking little scrawny ass kid, so put it back in your pants and go hit on your sister's friends.
OK, we all know Mauricio actually can't really MARRY the Kick. "KikA, do you take KikO to be your man slave..scratch that ..lawfully wedded husband?" "S8N>?" (Venezuelan squirrel gibberish)
"I take that was a Yes Ms Brown?"
Given that any man with half a brain and a nice car to begin with would never even consider it, how can Mauricio be saved? For the time being, Renegade seems to have thrown in the towel. Is it strictly up to Ms Anifer?
Jorge is a prime example of why some kids love their parents but don't like them. He would annoy an anvil.
Kirby, you sure said it with Jorge being an example “of why some kids love their parents but don’t like them.”
Yes, it is probably up to Anifer to save the day. At least she will keep Renée and Mauricio is close contact.
I don't know what to make of Jorge. He is simply impossible, and looks to learn nothing along the way. All the distasteful stuff which has happened to him, or which he has brought onto himself, he never gets a clue. He needs to go off in the woods and go fishing or something which will give him plenty of alone time to think. And do just that. Think.
AlfredoAA - Thank you for your recap of last night's episode!
"BUT the biggest news of the whole episode is...... Mauricio has SOCKS."
LOL!!! Such is life in Telenovelaland and ... on The Patio! :-)
Jorge is either OCD or anal-retentive. Something's got to give or the guy is going to burst an artery.
" He's definitely being painted as a Pharisee, law-oriented, but empty of heart." Well said, JudyB.
Mau has got to be the biggest narcissist in Telenovelalandia. How could Fab be his "bro" yet Mau not know if Fab has had any girlfriends??? Don't wingmen talk to each other? Oh, wait, Mau is not Fab's wingman.
I'm already tired of Neurotic getting jealous of every young guy that looks at Flor. And I missed two weeks of it because of the Olympics. Gah!
Maria Rubio also died yesterday. She was another acting legend.
Interesting episode--
Renegade and Mau"s moment of denied feelings was touching. Kirby, " For the time being, Renegade seems to have thrown in the towel. Is it strictly up to Ms Anifer?" Renegade may have thrown in the towel for a moment, but I think she grabbed it right back. We all know she really doesn't want to leave and Mau gave her a perfect reason to stay...which some had already guessed would happen. And Jarifa, "I am glad Fabián came clean about his feelings for Kika." This may just be one of the little pushes for Mau to renig on his acceptance of KikA's proposal...since he already feels he was "forced" into accepting.
JudyB, regarding Jorge, "He's definitely being painted as a Pharisee, law-oriented, but empty of heart." Very true, but the laws/rules seem to only apply to others, not him! Jarifa, I also enjoyed seeing Lili call him out on not inviting Pablo to dinner. His excuse for not inviting him just corroborates JudyB's comment about how heartless he can be. Kirby, "I don't know what to make of Jorge. He is simply impossible, and looks to learn nothing along the way. All the distasteful stuff which has happened to him, or which he has brought onto himself, he never gets a clue." Well stated...though he does learn some things...but they just don't apply to him!
Doris, "I'm already tired of Neurotic getting jealous of every young guy that looks at Flor." That is very tiresome and annoying, especially considering who he is jealous of...Baldchest? Puh-lease!
Kirby, good attention to detail. I didn't notice the SOCKS! I guess I was too focused on how the two idiots justified lying to their children...and using beer as an analogy! He said a noble lie is like a good beer; it can be sour, but it is appreciated. (Blech)
Also surprised Andy has not called Fabian out on how badly his pocket square did not match his tie last night. I hopeo he is alright.
exhausted...and worried all the time. It pains me to look at his woeful face. Hey, Neuron, you were !ucky enough to get a fine, young girl. (How old is Flor supposed to be?) It was fun, right? However, now things have changed a bit because you managed to get her pregnant resulting in a sweet baby who needs love, attention , and diapers. Not quite as much fun. As to Baldo, after teaching in a senior high, I can tell you that teen boys are hormones in sneakers who notice all the females around them...classmates, teachers, substitutes, secretaries, bus drivers, lunch ladies. Baldo's attraction to Flouncy Flor does not surprise me at all.
"As they watch videos, Renee and Mauricio share deep, close glances. Neither will admit what they feel but their bodies say otherwise" was great but my favorite was "Jorge finds himself alone at the table where his children were happily playing a few minutes ago, and all because he is a stiff and strict as an ironing board".
I only saw two scenes. Sam engineering it so Jorge slams the door on his fingers and a furious Neron confronting the no-right-to-be-shirtless Baldo.
I agree that Sam needs help - that was really hard to watch. While Jorge isn't father of the year, I'm a bit concerned as Rodrigo already suspects Jorge (unjustly) as abusive so this will not bode well.
Baldo doesn't lack for confidence, does he? I agree Jarifa, Flor shouldn't let him in the house. Why push Neron's buttons...as Susanlynn noted, he is exhausted...
But Kirby said it better with "Flor is HOT, Baldchest is room temperature"
Judy, Pablo is so sweet...
"Mau has got to be the biggest narcissist in Telenovelalandia. How could Fab be his "bro" yet Mau not know if Fab has had any girlfriends??? Don't wingmen talk to each other? Oh, wait, Mau is not Fab's wingman" made ms smile doris.
RgvChick, are your chickens getting sleep?
Alfredo, thank you!
Diana
He was like one of those "Will Work for Food" panhandlers who have no intention of ever doing a lick of work, with Vero getting her wallet and generously meteing out a handful of cash.
And Topo sheepishly took it just like those freeloaders on the corner with the purposefully dogeared 'will work' signs.
I hopeo NewDog Rolo bites him.
A lot of single Moms, (many times through no fault of their own) do what he is doing not very well, all the while holding down one or more jobs to boot.
That scene in the supermarket was not really that far fetched, given what i see in some stores. Kids running rampant like wild indians turning over racks of clothing, etc.
Vero's reasons for staying with him apparently can not be shown on family TV.
:-)
Ahh, the eagle is back.
Vero and Tono. Inexplicable.
We are gearing up for a nor'easter here - the wind is really picking up and it's been torrential rain for hours. Hope all stays safe.
Diana
I can't figure out what Sam is into ...some type of cult, maybe? Whatever it is, it is very dangerous and sadistic-like.
Diana, My chickens are fine...they sleep much more that I do! ...and you can send some of that rain this-a-way :-)
Vero's reasons for staying with Toño .... um, yeah, I've thought of that too. He probably excels at the (horizontal) Tango. But, still, eeew. Truth be told, Vero has probably outgrown Toño.
Samuel is sort of a lost soul and nobody has noticed. He must be desperate and might do anything to “belong” somewhere. Kids like him can get lost in the shuffle, fall through the cracks. Evidently the psychological pain he feels is worse than getting his hand smashed. It would be nice if this plot could be resolved soon with a nice PSA ribbon tying it all up.
(horizontal) Tango...doris, you are hot, hot, hot today :)
RgvChick, glad your chickens are OK. It seems so unfair that you are searching for rain and we are drowning from it...wishing the rain makes its way there.
Diana
Meanwhile, I have a bigger mystery: Do these Mexicans pour their milk out of a perfect, resealable container like I buy mine in, into a pitcher with no obvious way of affixing a lid.? Or do they ask the cow(s) put it straight into that glass pitcher ?
Were the RGV Chick(ens) in danger?
Did I doze off? #whatelsedidimiss #isitstillfriday
Kirby, I long ago resigned my appointment to the GQ Police before they could kick me out.
Susanlynn, "I can tell you that teen boys are hormones in sneakers who notice all the females around them...classmates, teachers, substitutes, secretaries, bus drivers, lunch ladies."
That's funny! But the fascination is not just for teen boys, it continues into adulthood. It supposedly ends not too long after death.
:-)
Rodrigo & Rafael are pissed with Jorge anyway, and thought the bruise on Sammy's arm was caused by him. Now this incident with his hand. I'm going to risk my perfect 0% prediction score on this one and say I think they will look into it.
Mau & Renee are the classic hate-to-love story. (duh). These two remind me of me of Pillow Talk (Doris Day/Rock Hudson) and more recently, Life As We Know It (K. Heigl/J. Duhamel) and so many more.
I've noticed almost all consumable liquids at the dining table are poured from a pitcher, but the milk caught my attention because I assumed cows worldwide insisted on those half gallon cartons or gallon jugs.
I spent a lot of time in Switzerland too and found them to be more 'American-like' than the Canadians. Except the Northern half of your country speaks German, and the Southern half speaks French.
We have spent a lot of time in Canada over the last 12 years or so! I always get a kick out of the fact that they have holidays the same days as we do, but they call them by different names...except the big holidays...like Christmas EAster, etc.
Baldo is too smug, so I got a kick out of Neron scaring the beegeebees out of him and his puny chest. Too bad for Flor though.
Susanlynn, yes, I don't think Jorge really understands the concept of fun. Still raining here. Don't mind the rain but am dreading the snow that will follow.
Diana
So this is another "sins of the fathers" telenovela. Kika's dad somehow did five years in a prison in China which she and her sister seem to blame Maury's dad for. Fab doesn't seem to have kind thoughts about his dad , but Maury wishes that he was his father.
Maury thought his bff for all these years was gay????
"Maury thought his bff for all these years was gay????"
Well, when the only center of your attention is yourself . . . gah!
Yet they've been friends all their lives, consider themselves 'Bros', etc. And Fabian had to tell Mau that, yes, he had had girlfriends?
Something wrong here, but I get weary sometimes wondering about things that happen, or don't happen, in TNs. Now I just try to go with flow and hope enlightenment will follow.
Occasionally I do think about that shoe box, but not as often anymore, and now I just get into the lotus position, close my eyes, and say "Ommmmm..."
OMG the local weather guy stopped in the middle of his boring 'warm, sunny, good beach weather' forecast to mention a "Bomb Nor'easter" up East.
I am actually surprised any of these girls in this TN are getting any action out of these fellows. :-)
--"Creemelo""
Ommmmmmmmm...............
Like Maaawww walking in on a Tango lesson:
"Fabian ? !"
"Mauricio ? !"
" Kika ? ! "
"Maaawwww? !"
"Bro ? !"
"Sheez Bro, that's a relief, I always thought you were gay."
"Gimme a hug."
