Papa a Toda Madre #35 3.6.18: You Can Call Me "Papa"

Or Mauricio is Finally a "Father"

In Miami, Kika has decided the best way to keep Mauricio at her side (possibly) is with an ultimatum: stay in Miami with her or risk losing her large investment for Logatoys; the choice is his. Mauricio looks shocked.

At Neron’s, Flor is also shocked to see Neron has dyed his hair jet black. Neron smiles wide and Flor looks slightly happy to see this change.

She warns him not to get any on his skin because it won’t come off and Neron nods. He then asks her to make him breakfast because he must go see about a gym membership so that he can get back in tip top shape. Flor can’t hide her slightly amused, but loving smile, as she goes to the kitchen.

At Logatoys, the father/mother dolls are being made according to Mauricio’s specifications but one of the workers asks the assembly line to stop because some of the dolls are coming out defective. He gives the dolls to his supervisor, who nods and goes to turn off the assembly line while they fix the problem. As he does, the whole machine catches fire and the employees run to spray the fire with a fire extinguisher or the machines will be permanently damaged.

Mauricio is appalled that Kika would make him chose between her and his daughter but Kika only asks for some time to work on their relationship, alone. Mauricio reminds her that she’s blackmailing him, in Miami, Mexico or China, but Kika insists that she’s a woman in love and wants to be with him. Mauricio reminds her that he’s and Anifer are a packaged deal, especially if she “loves” him but Kika just wants some time with him to work on her investment while Anifer is safe and sound with the maid in Mexico. Mauricio doesn’t think that is what she meant and asks her point blank: does she want to be the mother that Anifer needs? Kika is saved by the bell as Mauricio receives a call from Gladys, who informs him of what happened at Logatoys. Mauricio curses his luck.

At the police station, the police read the Turrubiantes children Jorge’s charges and asks if they are true. Baldo insists that it is, and Jorge has constantly abused and even hit them, but Valentina and Samuel don’t agree. Baldo thinks they are just scared, as Jorge is very imposing, and insists Jorge is abusive. Jorge stands in the back and watches as his own children try to put him in jail.

Mauricio tells Kika about what happened at the factory and she is surprised. Mauricio insists that he needs to return to Mexico right now but Kika tells him to call Fabian, who’s job it is to take care of those things. Mauricio reveals that he is on a well-developed vacation and Kika thinks he should call Falcon. Mauricio insists he must resolve the problem personally and Kika asks him to sit down and take a breather. She reminds him that soon, thanks to her investment, he will be able to get rid of all useless vultures around him, like Falcon, and run Logatoys from Miami. Just then, an employee comes in with documents for Kika to sign so she can finalize her investment. Before she can, Mauricio decides he cannot accept her money, as he already feels like a prisoner, and asks her to do whatever she wants with it, including burying it in the desert.

Jorge speaks with the detective and insists he would never abuse his children, but the detective tells him that there are various charges against him. Jorge explains that he is firm, yes, and tries to control his family, but he is not abusive. The detective reveals that Rodrigo Conde says otherwise and Jorge explains that Rodrigo is lying just to get revenge.

At home, Veronica gets ready for work as Tono begs her to forgive him because he was angry for no reason. Veronica is sick and tired of his bad attitude but Tono asks her to let sleeping dogs lie and Veronica promises to talk later, after work. Tania walks in then and suggests they skip school, as they are already late, but Veronica pushes her out the door and screams for Ernesto and Fidel to get ready, now!

Neron arrives at the gym and tells the trainer that he wants to starting working out right now. The trainer is happy to hear it and tells him that they will start slow and then go fast. Neron smiles wide and tells Arnold Schwarzenegger that he will be just like him in a few weeks.

The detective speaks to Samuel and Baldo by themselves, as Jorge sits a few feet away, and explains that Jorge is not abusive but did close the door on his hand, by mistake. Jorge nods as he hears this, but the detective looks unconvinced.

Tono and his three children run into the school and beg the teacher to let them inside. She does as another mother and her son come running. She lets them all in but asks Tono and the mother to not let it happen again. When the teacher goes inside, the mother confines in Tono that she was late again because of her ex-husband and Tono admits that he’s late because of his own doing. Just then, another kid runs by them, super late, and they shake their heads. The conversation then turns to Tono and Veronica’s botched anniversary celebration and he explains how bad he messed up. The mother suggests he tone it down and reveals that she got divorced because her own husband won’t stop nagging her.

Valentina and Lili talk with the detective and Valentina explains that she didn’t see Samuel’s accident, but her father would never intentionally hurt them, regardless of how strict he is. Lili explains that Jorge did hit Baldo though and the detective realizes that Lili doesn’t talk about Valentina and Samuel like siblings, only Baldo. Lili tells the detective the whole story about Jorge and her mother as Jorge stands close by, listening.

Kika asks Mauricio to reconsider his decision but Mauricio won’t change his mind, as he is trying to be responsible and self-sufficient. Kika still thinks he’s exaggerating and begs him not to throw away their relationship and engagement but Mauricio thinks they moved to fast. Either way, she wants him all the time, but he only has time for Anifer. Kika is quiet and Mauricio confesses that he misses Anifer terribly so it’s best he leave right now. He goes to his room to pack as Kika’s eyes water.

In school, Ernesto, Fidel and their friends, challenge Tania, Anifer and their friends to see who can climb a tree in their schoolyard the fastest.

At the foundation, Renee finishes her class and Sonia goes to ask how things went. Renee tells her that there were only a few students, but they participated though Sonia thinks something is wrong as she’s too serious and quiet. Renee shakes her head and tells her it’s nothing serious, so Sonia shares some good news: she spoke with a very important businessman and told him about Renee’s master program and he wants to help her. Renee thanks her but explains that Logatoys is already helping her but Sonia gives her his card either way, just in case. Sonia then asks about Logatoys and Renee assumes things are going well (but her face shows that she “hopes” they are but doesn’t really know).

Tono goes to surprise Veronica at work with balloons and roses. Her secretary tells her that she’s in a meeting but will be out soon and Tono begs her to let him wait in her office because he’s Veronica’s husband and wants to surprise her for their anniversary. The secretary, Tina, listens and considers this (I see why Veronica fell for him, that spiel weaves straw into gold).

Jorge explains to the detective his version of the events regarding Samuel and Baldo. A few feet away, Pablo arrives and asks Lili what happened. Lili confesses that Jorge was arrested for abuse and she’s happy he was; she hopes they put him in a jail for a bit, so he reconsiders his attitude. Pablo would never do that to his father and, more importantly, he reminds her that all four of them may go to a group home if there is no one to care for them.

A sweaty Neron arrives home, cringing from the pain, and tells Flor that he will soon have a great body that she will love. Flor just stares and then he asks about Milady. Flor tells him that she’s sleeping but Neron worries his daughter will forget him. Flor asks him not to worry and sleep as he has work that night. Neron nods and all but crawls to the bedroom as Flor smiles.

Ernesto and Anifer get ready to climb and go up the tree faster than a speeding bullet. Ernesto can barely keep up as Anifer reaches the middle of the tree and declares that she wins because he’s tired. Anifer, however, decides to keep climbing even as Ernesto begs her to stop and come down.

Tono throws balloons all over Veronica’s office, puts roses on her desk, and gets ready to greet her. When she comes in with Sebastian, Tono opens his “Forgive me, my love” poster and blows on a party blower. Sebastian thinks he’s a stranger and calls security, but Veronica reveals that he’s her husband and smiles. Tono, however, is shocked to see her so close with Sebastian.

At the station, Jorge begs the detective to let them go but the detective gets all four children together and asks them, in front of Jorge, if their father abuses them. Baldo nods and tells the detective that he does, and the detective asks Lili to confirm Baldo’s story. Jorge begs her to say the truth and Baldo begs her to say the truth (who will win?)

Tono and Sebastian get into a handshake match and reveal to Veronica that they met during a bar fight with Mauricio, though Sebastian doesn’t immediately remember him.

He then decides to go and, once alone, Veronica reveals that she didn’t expect him but is happy to see him. Tono knows she didn’t, as he surprised her laughing with Sebastian, but Veronica explains that he is the son of a very important partner at the company. Tono tries to nag her again but Veronica demands he be quiet and asks him if he’s there to celebrate their anniversary or discuss her co-workers. Tono apologizes and goes in for a neck nibble, which Veronica more than welcomes and asks him to do again.

Lili is quiet for a moment and states that Jorge did slap Baldo, but he only did it because Baldo was rude and insolent. She explains that Jorge is not a violent man and Baldo only said those things because he’s mad. Baldo storms off then and Jorge nods, thanking her for telling the detective the truth.

Ernesto manages to climb down the tree as Anifer reaches the highest point and declares the girls are the winners. All the kids beg her to come down as the teachers arrive and scream for Anifer to stay still as they call the firefighters to help.

Anifer tells them that she can climb down by herself and begins to do so but slips and falls face first on the grass. Everyone screams.

At Logatoys, Renee visits Gladys to ask her about the financial standing of Logatoys, since she knows everything. Gladys tells her that she can’t right now, as there was a problem with the toy production and there is no one to call. Renee suggests she tell Falcon and Gladys runs off, after making Renee promises not to touch anything, to see if he can help. Once alone, Renee runs behind her desk, grabs Mauricio’s office keys, and goes to open the office, with a big smile on her face.

The teachers direct the paramedics to where Anifer is lying down and tell them that she fell from the highest branch. As the kids ask her how she feels, the paramedics begin to help her.

Later, Lili tries to reason with Baldo and tells him that Jorge has taken care of them, as best he can. Baldo reminds her that Jorge did slap him, but Lili tells him it wasn’t as serious as he said. Lili then begs him to consider the consequences if Jorge goes to jail but Baldo can’t believe his own sister betrayed him. He storms off as Lili sighs. A few feet away, Jorge explains to the detective that he hit Baldo because he lost control, and was trying to keep order, but he’s not violent or abusive; he just has four teenagers living in his house. The detective nods but tells him he will have to confront Rodrigo in from of him to see who’s telling the truth. Just then, Rodrigo arrives and declares that he’s ready for whatever.

Renee opens the file cabinets in Mauricio’s office and looks through them but can’t find anything. She then tries to get into his computer but finds that it has a password. After a moment, Gladys walks in and demands to know why she’s in there because she could get fired if Mauricio found out.

Renee explains that Mauricio gave her permission to use his computer for some schoolwork she has and doubts he will get mad because she takes care of Anifer. Renee then asks if she knows Mauricio’s password, but Gladys thinks she should’ve asked Mauricio. As Renee stumbles for an explanation, Anifer’s teacher calls and tells Renee about Anifer’s accident.

As Tono and Veronica kiss on her desk, he asks if she’s happy with her surprise. She is, and he goes in for a deeper kiss, but Veronica reminds him they are in her office and should behave. Tono reminds her that she has a desk and they could snuggle but Veronica thinks her boss will catch them and go ballistic. Tono thinks that’s part of excitement and kisses her again.

Rodrigo tells the detective that he has no concrete proof about Jorge’s abusive behavior, but he is Jorge’s neighbor and drew conclusions based on what he saw. Jorge can’t believe Rodrigo and his “husband” could accuse him without proof but he knows they did it because they are degenerates. The detective declares that Jorge has no right to judge Rodrigo on his personal life, but Rodrigo has no proof about Jorge’s abusive behavior Jorge is free to go. However, a social worker will visit him and his children to interview them, just to make sure there is no abuse. Jorge thanks him and leaves with the kids as Rodrigo considers who is lying.

Tono continues to kiss Veronica but his excitement dies as soon as she reveals that she must make another trip to Monterrey and will be going more frequently because she’s in charge of managing the personnel in that branch. Tono is shocked and annoyed and begs her not to go but Veronica thinks it’s a great honor and she will go. Tina then calls Veronica to tell her that Sebastian is waiting for her in the conference room and Veronica tells her she will be right there and leaves with Tono, who is annoyed at being interrupted again.

Mauricio arrives in Mexico and calls Gladys, who tells him that Falcon needs to speak with him immediately. Mauricio asks her to schedule a board meeting and then hangs up. He sees a message from Renee and reads that she texted him the address to the hospital where Anifer is because she had an accident. Mauricio runs off immediately but doesn’t notice that he has left his suitcase behind.

At the board meeting, Falcon taps his fingers and wonders where Mauricio is.

He goes to find Gladys and demands she call Mauricio, again, because he can’t keep waiting. She insists that he’s on his way, but Falcon can’t believe Mauricio has disappeared on the worst day.

At the hospital, Renee explains to Mauricio what happened and he’s shocked that the teachers let Anifer climb a tree. He declares that he will take her out of that school today and put her somewhere, but Renee reminds him that Anifer loves to climb trees and it’s no one’s fault as Anifer almost fell when they found her months ago as well. Mauricio nods as the doctor comes and explains that Anifer is better and they ran all the necessary tests but found no internal trauma, just a fractured leg and arm. Mauricio can’t imagine how much worse things could’ve been, but the doctor tells him Anifer was lucky and will make a speedy recovery. Renee and Mauricio smile and the doctor explains that Anifer is sleeping now but they can see her for a moment as she will be in observation until tomorrow, at least.

Moments later, Renee and Mauricio visit Anifer, quietly, and Mauricio smiles when he sees his daughter.

He laughs and tells Renee that he left his suitcase god knows where because he ran to the hospital as soon as he heard her message. Renee nods and smiles as she looks at Mauricio, who tries to push a lock of hair off her face but Renee steps back and tells him she will go get him something to eat. As she walks away, Mauricio goes to Anifer and kisses her in the forehead.

He then smiles wide when she wakes up and asks her how she feels. She confesses that her arm and leg hurts, and Mauricio reveals that she fell from a tree. Anifer shakes her head and declares the tree broke because she doesn’t fall. Either way, Mauricio asks her to practice a safer hobby, like riding roller coasters, and makes her promise to never try to fly again. She agrees and then asks why he’s back so soon. Mauricio explains that he doesn’t like to party that much anymore, and he had a bad time in Miami because of her. Anifer wonders why and Mauricio can’t explain it but tries: he confesses that he loves her, very much, and can’t bear to be away from her for long. Anifer smiles and tells him that she loves him too. Mauricio asks for a moment, steps away from the bed and cheers before asking Anifer to call him “dad.”

Anifer does and Mauricio asks for another moment to cheer again.

He then promises that, no matter who they are with, she calls him “dad.” Anifer promises she will and Mauricio can’t help but smile as tears form in his eyes, not from sadness or anger, but from pure joy…

Mr. AAA, what an exceptional treat you have given us...and the screen shots were outstanding; Thank You!!

Favorite scene to date, without a doubt, is Mau and Anifer together and admitting to each other that they love each other. It brought tears to my eyes.

I commented in the previous post that I liked Neron’s hair...well, he went and messed it up!

I’m glad Lili told the truth, but I was hoping Sami would tell them the truth about how he got his injuries. Looks like Jorge is off the hook, but I’m glad they are going to follow up with a visit from the social worker.

More tomorrow...

You are so right RGV. Thanks a bunch or maybe even two Alfredo. Best scene is Mau and Anifer. When those two are on, it is magic. Next best scene was Mau growing a pair to go with his new brain and telling Miss Curvytalkfunny she could keep her money and Luuuuurve, he and his daughter need each other. The hookers in t-backs shakin the booty over in Lawyers in and out of Love at that bachelor party do not compare.

Yikes look at the time
Tomorrow...kj

Great recap Alfredo and also fabulous screen shots. Don't know whether I'll have time to read this today, flying down to Charlotte and fussing about packing and stuff.

So Mauricio has become a genuine dad. Reminds me a bit of when Pinocchio became a real boy. Renee and Anifer get dual credit as the Walt Disney blue fairy.

So is Fabio in on the sabotage deal? Is that why he asked for a vacation at Just This Time? Inquiring minds.....

Hope Victoria stays safe from the Big Bad Wolf Sebastien but that blonde hair color is not a good sign. Ditto Neron's transformation. If he was tired before, he's going to be even worse swatting around at the gym. And Flor is young and juicy. She needs some loving attention once in a while, along with Milady.

Oh well. Not my problem. Thanks again AAA

Kirby, I love your strategy for dealing with the irresponsible parents next door. May all your caring kindness come back to you tenfold.

I think we are all a bit misty eyed this morning. "Anifer promises she will and Mauricio can’t help but smile as tears form in his eyes, not from sadness or anger, but from pure joy…" was beautiful.

Anifer was very fortunate that her injuries were not much more severe. I liked the way the seriousness of the fall was conveyed without actually showing us.

"Mau growing a pair to go with his new brain and telling Miss Curvytalkfunny she could keep her money and Luuuuurve, he and his daughter need each other". Yes, the next best Kirby.

Another exceptional recap Alfredo. The screen shots were incredible.

"Tono apologizes and goes in for a neck nibble". Excellent. Now perhaps it was just me but I thought Veronica (the actress) started laughing out of character a few times. Did anyone else sense that? I have a feeling they are having fun here. I'm not quite sure what I thought of Tono's (mauve? lavendaer?) jacket, but he looked good. The expression Sebastian made when he saw Tono was cartoonish and great.

"Neron smiles wide and tells Arnold Schwarzenegger that he will be just like him in a few weeks" really had me giggling. I just loved the newspaper "cape"." Swatting around at the gym" was perfect Judy!

Flor looks slightly happy to see this change". I liked Neron as a "silver fox" - much better "luke" don't you think RgvChick? :)

"Jorge stands in the back and watches as his own children try to put him in jail." was hard to watch. Pedro is such a good influence on Lili. Give this man a galan role please.

Judy, wishing you safe travels to Charlotte. We wll miss you...

Alfredo, you are the best. Thank you.

Diana

Thanks to you, Alfredo for the wonderful recap and screenshots!

It was nice to see Pablo have a positive influence on Lili so she told the truth but did not embellish it with lies at Baldo’s direction. Her pragmatic view of what would happen to her and Baldo if Jorge ended up in jail showed some actual thought for once.

How sad seeing Nerón with the died hair running to the gym in search of what is looooong gone.

Finally, Mauricio is following his own feelings and not being controlled by Kika.

When the social worker comes by for her home visit with the kids, maybe she will be able to help Jorge out with how to relate to his kids. He was lucky this time.

And there's always the possibility that the social worker will be someone attractive who'll not only tame the uber-righteous Jorge, she might become his new love interest as well.

I like how you think, JudyB. Have a safe trip{

Now where did that weird bracket come from? These keyboards are exasperating! : )

So the mousey little Plain Jane MILF shows up at school the next day exactly when scruffy does. And she shows up with what looks to be a sexy new makeover.. Hmmmm....careful what you wish for.

Sebastardian and Vero looked pretty chummy, and it is obvious the MILF from school is more than mildly interested in Tono.(who should be selling used cars, (straw to gold?)) so is this going somewhere? I haven't been able to see if Tonto wears his ring to school or not, but love or no love, he is more than dishonest enough to cheat on Vero..

Flor woke up today married to a fifty year old teenager with a homemade dye job. Neuron, about that hair, just be thankful it is still there, any color is better than a gleam.

Tono's bullshit in her office would have gotten anybody in any company in real life fired already. I saw that as just an underhanded way for him to show her how unimportant her job is in his eyes, That it may be a big deal to Vero, but in his mind it is a trivial annoyance.

Miss Ani is a climber. Renee and Mau had to coax her down out of a tree early on like a misbehaving kitty.

JudyB, what if the social worker is not a girl/woman, but one of R&R's friends? Jorge appears to not be one to learn from a gentle nudge, but rather more likely from dynamite.

And Kika crying? Puleeeeeese .They whacked Carola and Mickey here and already in Lawyers In Luuuurve they have a mystery who wacked da wabbit. RGV don't let your animalitos watch with you.

Wood Stork

Kirby, good call on the inappropriateness of Toño foisting himself and “his” celebration on Verónica at work and not understanding that.

Diana, ITA about the way Anifer’s fall was handled. . She got off easy with two fractures.

RgvChick, yes! Nerón sure made a mess of his otherwise attractive grey hair.

Great photo, Kirby. You really have a wide variety of birds to choose from to photograph.

Thanks Jarifa. They are everywhere. People don't look UP anymore. Check this out

Hi,

I agree that watching the kids sinking Jorge into a jail cell was hard to watch. Sammy and Valentina barely defended him. Also why do the twins keep thinking they’re going to be homefree in Tijuana if they get rid of Jorge? They know they’re underage. Even with Pablo telling Lili to tell the truth, she still only did so for herself and Baldo. Still no thought as to her half siblings. She also didn’t correct the officer in that Jorge slapped Baldo once.

I was surprised Jorge controlled himself when Rodrigo walked into the station.

I’m not so sure Tono would cheat on Veronica, but I do feel that she’s tiring of him already. I thought his jealousy made sense because Veronica did seem a little too close to Sebastian when she entered her office. I can understand that he’s the boss’ son, but she really should put boundaries. His hands on her shoulders was inappropriate.

I swear I thought Mauricio was going to tear up when Anifer called him “dad.”

Maia

OT: Jarifa, you do a lot of photography, do you have a specialty, something that is your favorite, like my Eagles?

Maia
"I swear I thought Mauricio was going to tear up when Anifer called him “dad.”"

He would not have been alone. :-)

OT: Kirby, I tend to take a lot of photos of everything ( but no people. Not a fan. LOL) and even the occasional staged studio type shot. Every once in a while an image will “stick” and get printed up. I wish I had enough discipline to have a specialty and really perfect it as you have done.

Btw, beautiful eagle in flight!

Maia good points about Jorge's kids, especially Lil and Baddo. The unfortunate truth is those two became who they are many years ago, and the window to make any real change has long since closed.

Without finding fault for how those two are now, the best Jorge can do now is to do his part as a caring parent and keep them out of trouble until they are 18. Then it is their problem to solve and no longer his. You can lead a horse to water.......

It may be shown that life in general is a far more effective teacher than Jorge could ever be for Lil and Baddo.

Thanks. You mean still life like this?

I take gazillions of pictures, but birds are the only thing I do that seems to be universally interesting to almost everyone, and I think it takes the most skill. Like, I didn't have to chase those oranges down. :-)

I go to great lengths to keep humans out of my shots. But sometimes it is impossible.----------------->

Sometimes I will do a still life, but usually it ends up with a surreal twist. Yes, taking good pictures of wildlife, especially those on the wing, takes much skill and patience.

Thanks

The second screenshot of Neron wearing the newspaper is hilarious. I wonder how long he’ll keep this up.

Have you guys heard of Palemale, the red-tailed hawk in NYC? He’s been photographed for years, along with his family and other animals in Central Park. His website has photos from 2002 to the present. Some very beautiful photos there. They remind me of Kirby’s photos. The photographer also has some photos of the hatchlings (Palemale doesn’t always have a successful brood each year, though). Such a beautiful hawk.

Maia

Maia I, thanks for the info. I will have to take a look.

Thank you, Alfredo ,for another amazing recap.

I do not care for Vero's twotoned new Luke. She is so much prettier as a brunette. And now Neuron is trying to recapture his youth by dying his hair. I agree with Diana and Chickie that his silver hair was much more attractive..but I am married to a silver fox so....

It looks as though both Vero and Tonto are going to have temptation put in their paths. However, I think that they really love each other and are committed to their family, so I do not think that either will give in to seduction. I also think we have been shown why Vero endures Tonto's knuckle headedness...he's a neck nibbler.

Well, local schools are closed today . I am looking out at big fat snowflakes falling....beautiful but not wanted.

Judy...safe journeys!!!!

Good morning everyone!

Mr AAA, thank you for another great recap, covering some very emotional ground this time. Mau and Anifer have finally closed the deal, father and daughter forever!

I'm going to need a little time to get used to Veronica as a blonde, but her voice is so distinctive that I would recognize her with my eyes closed.

Is that cute woman really interested in Toño? She only saw him that once, and I don't see that he is all that impressive unless she really, really, really needs a baby sitter.

And, yeah, it would be fun to see Jorge with a gay social worker. LooneyVision bleeped a couple of words last night, I guess they don't want us overly shocked.
:-)

Have you guys heard of Palemale,
Thanks Maia
Have Now

Pale Male has nothing on these Florida birds. Baby hawks are unbelievably cute.

Andy, that cute woman sure looked like it, as she happily walked away from the school with Tono, and the first time she met him she was all smiles. Then this time she had turned up the heat several notches.

Tono is dumb, selfish, irresponsible, and dishonest, all the perfect storm for infidelity, but he and Vero somehow do appear to love each other in spite of seventy twelve good reasons not to.

Neuron's sudden decision to color his hair to appear younger made me think of my fatherin!aw (RIP) who was rather vain. He used to use Grecian Formula for Men even though my motherin!aw's hair was snow white . I guess the formula was sometimes wrong because it turned his hair green one time. He stopped using it after that. #vanity

Agree that baby hawks are cute. Palemale had three last year. You can see them in April/May 2017 dates. Particularly May 08, 2017 shows all three babies staring right at the camera! They grow up fast.

Did Neron really forget that Flor was attracted to him without all of the extras he’s doing now? Or does he really feel threatened by Baldo?

Maia

Did Neron really forget that Flor was attracted to him without all of the extras he’s doing now? Or does he really feel threatened by Baldo?

I don't know. But that is why I always corrupt his name to NeUron, singular, as he may only have a few.

Green hair is the rage now as is purple, pink and 'Magenta'.

Kirby, at least seventy twelve good reasons.

Kirby, I would love to see Jorge's reaction if the social worker was indeed an R&R type. The only problem with that would be that Jorge would not listen to a word he would say...unless Jorge finds himself attracted to him! HA!! And your comment regarding Tono about "how unimportant her job is in his eyes" shows your great insight! I hadn't really thought about it, but yes, it could have gotten her in trouble. And the way he kept pawing at her shows how little regard and respect he has for her workplace...and job.

Maia, if anyone cheats, I think Tono would be the first; though I do agree that "Veronica did seem a little too close to Sebastian when she entered her office. I can understand that he’s the boss’ son, but she really should put boundaries. His hands on her shoulders was inappropriate."

Andy, I agree with Kirby about "the mousey little Plain Jane MILF." That look she gave him the first time said it all! What they see in Scruffy is mind-boggling. Veronica could be mesmerized by his bedroom skills, but this Plain Jane has just met him and is already ogling him...I just don't get it!

JudyB, I wish you a safe trip and an even safer return. Susy, hopeoing that snow doesn't cause too much grief or trouble.

Kirby, beautiful shot, thanks!

Kirby, I think Neuron would be threatened by any male dog...regardless of age, physique or hair color!

Still snowing. #winterwonderland

I think that the social worker might indeed be a !ovely lady who will soften Jorge's sharp edges. Or maybe the divorced mom who seems attracted to married Tonto might be satisfied with a divorced guy..Jorge. What is it about married guys that makes them so attractive to some women? #justsayin

Here is hoping the snow stops sooner rather than later!

"Jorge would not listen to a word he would say...unless Jorge finds himself attracted "

And your point? Jorge listens to no one as it is, except God, and I'm not sure one of them didn't dial a wrong number.

That whole scene with Vero and her office and balloons and roses was just absurd in how it showed Tono's absolute disrespect for Vero and her job. What I thought I saw was not about asking forgiveness out of love and remorse, but rather having the power to extract it. It was like he was going to beat forgiveness out of her at any cost. For Tono to not have killed any babies yet, I am surprised at how intensely I dislike him.

Yeah ole Neuron, so you have to wonder after going to the gym did he really tear it up in the sack with Flor that night or did his plan sort of backfire?I I thought I heard a boom.

Married guys are safe, for one
A challenge for two
And not out of practice for three.

" and is already ogling him...I just don't get it!" Maybe she sees him on 'Hoy' every day at 12:30. :-)

In reality, Jorge doesn’t even listen to God...if he had he wouldn’t be in the predicament he is in. He is a very insecure man who has normal desires as any man would, but refuses to accept those feelings. He needs validation for everything he does and he looks to the Bible/church/ the law for approval/justification of his actions. I don’t think he has fully accepted or forgiven himself for having his “Casa chica” or having chosen to “do the right thing” when he married Dulce.

"married guys are safe" ...wait? What? Not if they have wives that will go all medieval on someone flirting with their husbands ....or so I have heard. ;-);-);-)

They have always told me that 'safe' means the man is not going to follow you home and be a nuisance and think they are in Luuuurve (Fabian syndrome) just because he got lucky with you one night.

Thank you Alfredo! And I sure did enjoy all the multiple screenshots. It was like watching the show again. So great job!

Well what can I say? I loved the end with Mauricio telling Anifer that he loves her and wants to be her "papa" asking her to call him that. It was an "awwwww" moment. I just HOPE that she does turn out to be his real daughter. I just haven't seen any difinitive proof yet except her word, right? Did they ever have a DNA test? If so, I didn't see that show. But I am impressed how the character is fitting into his fatherly situation and loves Ani so much that he chooses her over some other sexy woman who wants to put her in boarding school.

I am glad that Lili did the right thing and listened to Pablo. I think he will be a good influence on her. (Except if she ends up pregnant, but he doesn't strike me as the type of guy to dump her. He would probably take responsibility for her and the baby.) I'm glad they let Jorge go. I know he is wound up too tight, but he probably doesn't forgive himself for his own mistakes. He needs to experience grace and forgiveness. I think in his world of Roman Catholicism, there is no room for that and therefore he feels guilt all the time. I see him really trying hard, but darn it, Baldo would have me frustrated! I would have wanted to slap him too! I still think Baldo deserved it All Baldo wants to do is punish Jorge. He should be glad that Jorge put a roof over his head and took responsibility for them. I disagree with RGV Chick about Jorge not listening to God. I really think he does his best. Just because one has commited a past sin, doesn't mean you don't listen to God. All it means is that you are human and have fallen into sin. We all have our faults and Jorge is a sinner just as much as anyone else. He just needs to experience the grace of God instead of always feeling like he is under judgement forever.

I laughed at Neron dying his hair and trying to work out. Then Flor says something like, "Well you don't look so bad." He is trying to look young for her because of his insecurity.

Tono is getting more and more stupid. He has no respect for his wife and her job. What did he think she was supposed to do, drop down on the floor and "do it" with him? Sending flowers to work is one thing, but he just sure went overboard. I would not blame her for leaving him, except that it would destroy the children. Divorce is always hard on children. But if there were no kids, I'd tell him to shape up or ship out.

Kirby..ugh. I have no respect for married people who cheat or those they cheat with. One of my best friends had a husband who cheated on her . They had two kids. Many people knew he was cheating because he was not discreet. She finally could not take it anymore ,and they divorced when their kids were teens. It was devastating for the whole family. The guy moved south with the woman and finally married her. I recent!y met someone who worked with the woman and she asked me if I knew her. Hub said that my expression changed when I answered, "no, I know his exwife...he's a rat."

Thanks, Alfredo.

Poor Jorge. Come on, Valentina and Sammy, stick up for your pop. He ain't perfect, but he didn't abandon you.

Oh no, Neron was a silver fox, now he looks ridiculo.

Yep, Mau found his daddy heart and a wee bit of his brain.

This show could have been called "Fractured Families". The times they are achanging and so are the telenovelas. When I first started watching telenovelas about ten years ago, there were these big extended families..parents, grandparents, children, sometimes aunts and uncles. Here we have a widower with a young lover and their baby, a guy with four kids by two women(one an exwife and the other a dead lover) a gay couple, a househusband and his working wife and kids, a single guy and his daughter (maybe biological ) and two women in his orbit. Quite a change.

Susy, I agree. Infidelity is dishonesty in probably it's most hurtful, base form. Whether you stole your neighbor's car, or backstabbed your best frenemy, or lied to or cheated on a spouse, it is dishonesty.

My Gramma and Grampa were country farm people, salt of the Earth. I think the only definition they ever knew for cheating had to do with playing cards. In the relatively short time from their day to now it is discouraging how dishonest humans have become. Just look at all the scams and identity theft etc. you have to be on guard for now.

Oh Well, at least it is not snowing here. :-)

Kirby, that's the way life used to be, people were much more honest and faithful. I think the change has happened because people don't have an objective sense of morality anymore.

Susanlynn, I agree, the show could be called "fractured families." I love seeing a big loving family with tha abuelos, tios, tias, primos, etc...I think that is why "Mi Marido Tiene Familia" was so popular. The idea of real family just brings warmth and love. (And I'm talking about good functioning families, not the dysfunctional ones.)

AlfredoAA - thank you for your recap!

Alfredo: Maraming Salamat po for the recap.

Cynthia, you hit it on the head with Mi marido tiene familia. I loved that novela.
