Papa a Toda Madre, Capítulo 43, Friday March 16, 2018; Detective work, for the home and office!

Mau tells Kika if she helps him, he will forgive everything she did.

Renée tries to explain to Anifer that that her father never meant to hurt her, he only tried to protect her. He is also still learning to be a father. Anifer is still angry and not really taking anything in. She tells Renée she is tired and wants to go to sleep.

Kika asks her fans to not boycott Logatoys. She told them she asked them this at a moment of anger and not thinking about it.

Valentina brings out tamales to the dinner table as Jorge gets home. Lili seems to be missing at home and Jorge wants to know where she is. The siblings say she is at the library studying with Pablo. Val makes a snarky comment and Jorge says that Lili is doing a good and charitable thing and that the rest of them should be as kind and charitable to help someone in need like that. Baldo wants to eat and starts to grab a tamale. But Jorge says to slow down they are going to say grace first.

Little do they know that Lili is not at the library, but she is “helping” Pablo in a whole other way at a hotel. Pablo tells Lili that he always dreamed about his first time and she also is glad that he is her first. They appear very much in love. Lili is a little worried that she might have been seen, but Pablo assures her he picked a hotel far from “La Privada” so no one would see them. Lili says it’s late and says she should go home. She says to Pablo, “Do you think that one day we can come back here?” Pablo says, “Yes, many times.” The thing that worries Pablo is that Jorge will find out. Lili assures him that Jorge thinks they are studying and that she is doing a “good deed.” However she is worried that her brother Baldo is suspicious.

Renée runs into Mau outside in the front yards. Mau wants to know where she is going and she tells him she is going to Rafa and Rod’s house to sleep. Renée tells him she just came back from bringing Ani her things. She tells Mau that Ani is very angry, wouldn’t allow Renée to explain anything. Mau tries to explain to Renée that he too, had nothing but the best of intentions regarding trying to finance her education for her master’s program, things just didn’t work out financially for him. Mau tells her that his priorities are to restore his relationship with Ani and with Renée. However she replies that it’s more important for him to make up with Ani as she is his daughter. She says she will leave him alone with his conscience—if he truly has one. They look back wistfully at one another.

Jorge and his family finally finish dinner. Val gets up to put things away, but Jorge stops her, telling her that he will take care of it.  Finally, Lili arrives home. Jorge wants to know where she has been and she reminds him that she was at the library. She drops her backpack and all her things fall out. Jorge tries to help her put things back in but---out drops a condom! He is very upset and wants to know why she has one. She tells him that it came from school in her sex education class; they were all passed out then. Jorge wants to know the truth, did she get the condoms in school or did she get them herself. Lili thinks it doesn’t matter because she is old enough to be having sex. Jorge does not agree and believes that young girls should remain virgins until they marry. He now directs Lili to study at home with Pablo so she won’t be going off with boyfriends afterward.

Mau watches an old home video of his family. His father is filming it and Mau and his mother are talking together. Yet as he watches he sees someone in the background spying on him. Who is it? Mau thinks back to some things that have been said. He thinks about a time that Fabian told him that, “The only thing I have ever wanted for you is to do well. So you can trust me.”  Then he remembers that Kika warned him against Fabian as well. Phone rings and it’s Fabian. They talk a minute and pretty soon Fabian is offering to use his own money to help out Logatoys. Gladys is listening to this conversation looking a little suspicious.

Renée continues going through the old letters her father wrote to her mother but still hasn’t found any clues to where he is or who he is. She tells Rafa that as soon as she can sell the house to him, she is going to go far away from Mauricio. He reminds her of how much she loves Ani and how much Ani really does love her. She cannot go off without repairing their relationship. He also reminds her of Mau, but she doesn’t want to talk about it.

The Barrientos children are being dropped off at school by their father and Ani is there watching. Mau tries to be affectionate with Ani and she will not allow him to hug or give her a kiss on the cheek. She instead shuns him, but turning her back on him and not speaking to him. Instead, she says goodbye to Toño. He tries to console Mau after Ani walks away and tells him to give her time, after all she just found out she lost her mother. He encourages Mau to have a talk with her and understand her. Mau says, “I just hope she will want to come home tonight.” They go on to talk about work items so Mau asks if Toño had a chance to look at the Lucky Starter page. He has not, but Mau doesn’t seem to feel very encouraged about the project.

Lili tells Pablo that her father discovered the condom in her backpack. She rolls her eyes and tells him how “St. Jorge” made a big stink about it. Pablo is scared that Jorge is suspicious of him. Lili tells him no, but from now on, they are required to study at the house. Pablo wants to be honest and just tell everyone that they are “novios” but Lili refuses. She also says that this might be okay because one day they will get to be alone in the house.

Jorge is with the school Principal asking about the sex education classes telling her that he does not want his children in them. She reminds him that this is the 21st century. He also tells her that his children are pure of mind and are not thinking about sex! [Really Jorge? Did you not think about sex when you were a teenager?] He also says that when you teach sex education, you put the temptation right in front of them. She asks him to sit down again and explains: “The only things are sex education classes teach is for students to understand their bodies, prevent diseases, and have a healthy outlook when it comes to sexual behavior. It has nothing to do with putting temptation in front of them.” Jorge responds (he stands up again) that it’s up to HIM to teach his kids and it is his responsibility to talk to them about sexual matters. She asks him to sit down and then tells him that a lot of parents just don’t have correct information to give to their children. She goes on and tells him, “I don’t really understand why you are so upset right now because in this particular semester, there are no sex education classes going on for anyone.” Jorge is perplexed and asks again to be sure as Lili told him there was. Then he thanks her and leaves. He comes back through the door and says, “Forget everything I just said.” He stops outside the door and mumbles to himself, “I’ve been lied to.”

At Logatoys, Mau sits at his desk when Fabian comes in. Fab says he just talked to the bank and they are going to give him an answer very soon. However, Mau is looking at his crowdfunding page he started for Logatoys and people are responding with cash. If he gets enough cash, then he won’t need a loan from Fabian. He mentions that it looks like Kika lifted her boycott of Logatoys.

Kika is at the airport and the airline employee asks for her passport. She can’t find it says she is an American citizen and the airline employee tells Kika that without it, she cannot board the plane. Then Kika tries to bribe her and it doesn’t work. “I’m Kika Braun, one of the most famous women in the world.” The airline employee is unimpressed with Kika, tells her to stop making a scene or she will be forced to call security.

At the Barrientos household, they are ready for the ballet. Tania is dressed up in her dance outfit ready to go. She is concerned that her mother might not make it to the show, but Toño assures her that her mother will be there.

Ani is doing her homework, Rafa brings her some cookies. Renée tells Ani a secret: She is going to look for her own father.

At the tire shop, Pablo tells Nerón about his taking a class. As they are talking, Nerón keeps grabbing his upper arm. Pablo asks if he is feeling okay, he doesn’t want Nerón coming down with another heart attack.

At the ballet, Veronica arrives with suitcase in hand right when the show begins. As they both watch their daughter, they are taken aback at how untalented Tania seems to be. Tania seems to be out of sync and out of step the whole time! But she does look beautiful and Veronica and Toño cheer her on saying “Bravo!”

Renée is over at Logatoys asking Gladys about Fabian, as she wants to meet with him. Gladys tells her that he, Mau, and Jorge are all in a meeting currently. Gladys thumbs through a magazine and clearly does not have much to do, so Renée offers to keep her company for a while. Gladys files her nails. Gladys tells her how unappreciated she feels, while Renée tells Gladys that she does not know how much power she really has there. But Renée wants to know where they keep the old employees’ records, but Gladys tells her that they are confidential files. Renée says she does not want to bother Mau about this, but knows that Gladys is the right hand person over there. Well, Renée tried to garner Gladys’ confidence, but it didn’t seem to work.

The Barrientos family is waiting for Tania with flowers after the show. Toño instructs the boys to say she did “super-super bien.”  Toño says she was as good as Nadia Comaneci. Veronica corrects him telling Toño that Nadia was a gymnast, not a ballet dancer. As they are talking, it comes out that Veronica says she has been offered a new and even better paying position that will be in a different location. Toño says, “Closer to home?” But before she can answer, Tania comes running up and they all hug. As the “sandwich” together, Veronica says something about where she is supposed to open a new office, but it didn’t sound like it was close to home. [I didn’t catch what she actually said.]

Jorge calls home to make sure everything is ok. Val tells him Lili is there studying English with Pablo and all seems like it is going well. He tells her that whatever happens, no matter what it is, to please call him and let him know.

Back at Logatoys, Gladys tells Renée she is not going to put her job in jeopardy just for her. But Gladys says she has to go to the bathroom, but will conveniently leave her computer on to the right place for Renée to come around and have a look. The only restriction is that Renée cannot sit on her chair. She does anyway, finds the record for an Angel Landeros, takes the picture and comes back around. By that time, Gladys is back from the bathroom.

Renée tries to call the number she found for him, but a rude woman answers. She is told that he does not live there and hangs up.

The meeting in Mau’s office continues, but Falcon comes in and starts talking about the money that Mau owes him. But now he seems to know all about that crowdfunding page. Mau wants to know how he found out about it. Falcon says because it’s on the internet for the whole world to see. But Mau isn’t buying that excuse and starts to get upset. Then Fabian decides to take Falcon out of the meeting. Mau turns to Jorge and says that it seems like no matter what he does, Falcon seems to find out about it. He thinks he might be able to turn to Rodrigo for help, but Jorge does not trust Rodrigo. They come out of the office and see Fabian on the other side having a serious conversation with Falcon. Mau says he may not need a detective after all.

Jorge decides to check on how things are going at home by logging into his security system and camera. He is shocked to find Lili and Pablo kissing!

That first screen shot was perfect. Caught! Thank you, Cynthia. Excellent! Somehow last evening’s viewing had one too many interruptions so I am grateful you caught it all.

My favorite scene last night were Verónica and Toño watching poor uncoordinated untalented Tania’s performance.

Fabián and Falcón sure were chummy. Glad that Mauricio saw that. It has taken a while, but Mauricio is finally starting to pay attention and realize that something is not quite right.

Well, Lili had a condom which is really good news. Jorge should be relieved because the sex isn’t going to stop just because he says so. Poor Lili and Jorge getting caught on the security/spy cam.

Gladys and her reactions are always a welcome surprise. You never know how she is going to react.

The mystery continues . . .

CORRECTION: poor Lili and PABLO. I need to get the coffee going.

Val must be doing pretty good in the kitchen. The boys were jumping over furniture to get to the table when she brought in the meal.

Oh No, the bunny has hopped.

Oh shit Papa found the rubbers. I thought the guy was usually the custodian of those. Well it appears they at least bought two. Wap dat wascal.

So is Logatoys production just shut down and forgotten? We seem to have conveniently forgotten that devastating fire which was the end of the world five episodes ago.

I now see why we have useless as...nevermind...Tono..he is destined to be Mau's only friend after everyone else has abandoned him.

As heartwarming as it may look, his neighbors are enabling and actually encouraging Anifer. And she sure has an odd way of grieving a Mother who is RUMORED to be dead.

Ahhh the coffee pot just mad it's little orgasmic sound. later

WOW fresh coffee surely is good in the morning. I'm surprised they have not warned us that it causes obesity, brain damage, and colon cancer yet.

My my, are we already seeing the flickers of redemption for Kika? She has called off her brainless Minions and now Mau's crowd funding plan is beginning to bear fruit.

And as we suspected earlier, (at least I did) she is running into problems. Her passport is AWOL. BIG, BIG problem when it happens away from home. Like being away from home, and your car vanishes. A bit of humility might look good on her painted plastic ass.

Fabian is still a mystery. I do hopeo we get to see Mau beat the stuffing out of him before this is over.

Thanks so much for the pictures, Cynthia. As Jarifa said they were perfect, especially the first one.

I do not understand how Saint Jorge can preach the gospel of virginity until the wedding when he got Lili and Baldo's mother pregnant without benefit of clergy. Ever! And I'm surprised Lili didn't call him on it. Evidently he forgot not only what he was thinking as a young man, he also forgot what he was doing! Very strange.

Still a little shocked though that Lili and Pablo got down to serious business so quickly. Does he even know what her favorite color is? Does she know his favorite food? Do they know much of anything about each other except that the hormones are calling?

Oh well. On to the next crisis. Looks like Mauricio is growing a brain and Kika is growing a conscience. Good news.

On a practical note, I was surprised they went to a hotel. I think I was already out of the Army the first time I stayed in a hotel, and that was for an interview.

Do high school kids have the money to capriciously get a room for a little playful hop? It may have been a big deal to Pablo, but I get the impression it was far below, say getting a new phone, to Lil. Like, "Whew, what's wrong with these city boys, finally, a guy who likes Bunny Hopping!"

Kirby, I sure agree about the neighbors enabling Anifer’s bad behavior but the real fault is Mauricio’s. He just should have taken her home, carried her home, if necessary, the first night but then I am old school. Kids don’t rule the roost.

I also have no respect for Anifer’s mother if she has allowed her daugghter to be in a situation where she does not know if she is alive or dead unless she is dead or kidnapped and incommunicado.

JudyB, all bets are off when the hormones are running high. Young’uns are increasingly involved in all sort of sexual activity at a younger age than when I was a kid.

Fine way of explaining, and fastidious piece of writing
to take information regarding my presentation subject,
which i am going to present in academy.

Cynthia, your screen shots were perfect and your recap was amazing.

"she is “helping” Pablo in a whole other way at a hotel" had me smiling away.

I’m confused. Was Tania’s terrible performance on purpose?? Also, why was she in a black tutu. Was she supposed to be the (gulp) principal dancer?? Not the most important event of the evening, but one of the strangest.

I so want Mau and Anifer to make up. But our hearts heal in their own way and time. Especially a young, tender one such as Anifer.

Kirby, yes, Val must be quite the cook. I loved Baldo's mad dash over the couch. Who knew tamales could cause such a reaction??

"Still a little shocked though that Lili and Pablo got down to serious business so quickly....Do they know much of anything about each other except that the hormones are calling?". No need for me to try and explain my thoughts. Judy, you said it all beautifully.

"Do high school kids have the money to capriciously get a room for a little playful hop?" I guess so Kirby. Pablo must be making a pretty good salary.

"Fabián and Falcón sure were chummy". They sure were Jarifa. I also hope something is sinking into Mau's sometimes little used brain.

I guess there is hope for Kika - long term. Losing her passport? Bad news.

"I also have no respect for Anifer’s mother if she has allowed her daugghter to be in a situation where she does not know if she is alive or dead unless she is dead or kidnapped and incommunicado". Agree Jarifa. I can't imagine why she is staying away - maybe she is being held prisoner somewhere?

Just speculation but I bet Vero has been offered a job somewhere that requires moving. This will not go over well.

Thank you Cynthia...

Diana

I'll betcha Vero is to be a bigwig second in command to Sebastian in a different town.

Tono, don't lose Yola's number.

'Ricky don't lose that number' Steely Dan?

Thanks, Cynthia. Great recap and pics.

Glad a condom was involved, but I too think Lili and Pablo moved too fast. Good for Lili that Pablo seems to be a nice guy that won't run if, whoops!, the condom breaks. A lot of my friends and relatives are middle and high school teachers. They say teens are most def doing it sooner but also something else, that more girls are angry these days, feeling used cause the "relationship" doesn't wind up meaning much to the boys, who move on quickly.

Jorge is certainly getting payback for all his mistakes.

Diana, I have the same questions on Tania's dance. I never saw the movie "Black Swan," but I was wondered if that was who Tania was playing. I hope Tonio wasn't recording the sound too or poor Tania will hear her parents saying she's a lousy ballerina.

Writers, por favor, I want to see Fabian with his dad.

Thank you, Cynthia. Screenshots are great.

They want to send Veronica to open a branch in Laredo, TX. Not exactly closer to home as Toño hoped.

I think it was clever for Renée to say to Ani that she was also going to look for her dad. It sure picked Ani's interest. Maybe to the point of forgetting and forgiving.

Lili is 16½ years old. How much control a parent can have over who is her friend or boyfriend? I am sure Jorge will make matters worse now that he saw Lili and Pablo kissing.

Somehow I don't hate Kika as much as many here. Yes, it wasn't her place to tell Ani about her mother, it was cruel, and the intention was to get back at Renée and Mau. But it was the truth, and with paint and feathers punishment and asking forgiveness, I am willing to forgive her. Losing her passport just forces her to stay and to continue to play part in the events. I hope on the side of the good.

Good Day Patio Peeps! A big thank you to Cynthia for her exceptional recap and screenshots and a belated thank you to Mr. AAA for his most excellent recap on Thursday's episode. I've been mucho busy with my animalitos. ALL my doggies came down with something so most of my day yesterday was spent at the vet where I left mucho $$$ AACKK!!

I agree with the comments yesterday that Veronica was too harsh on the kids, but I think the writer's are tryong to portray her as the new, but traditional old-fashioned father-figure whose world revolves mainly at work and when at home, is distant, impatient and harsh. Tono seems to be the traditional mother figure who defends the kids and makes excuses for the father's absence and short temper. I don't like waht the writers did with these two characters. Modern day working women, even those who are the primary/only financial providers, should be portrayed as being able to handle both roles equally well without being domineering and insensitive...IMO of course!

I also agree with the comments that the neighbors are enabling Anifer. Instead of agreeing to let her stay over, the neighbors should have helped Mauricio convince her that she needed to go with her father. I wouldn't endorse going to the lengths of picking her up and forcing her to go as Jorge recommended, but a little exigence was needed.

I am glad Kika planted that little seed of doubt in Mauricio, Hopeofully, he'll now get closer to revealing who his true enemies are. And the way things are going it seems that Mau is going to end up finding out that his true friends are those he knew little about...his former employees and new neighbors. I do hope Mau eventually pays Neron what he should have been given for his retirement.

Lili and Pablo caught, but was it in time? Do we know for sure that they didn't do the deed at Neron's house? Or was that their first time at the hotel? If it was, they were quite relaxed about it...being that it was a first for both of them.

Gotta run...more later...

Thank you so much , Cynthia, for the excellent retelling and screen caps. I am so glad that this show moves steadily forward instead of rehashing like so many tns do.

Tania was supposed to be the Black Swan, the lead dancer in SWan Lake, a role given to the prima ballerina of the class. Hmmm...

As to Lily and Pablo on speed dial doing the deed...well, it seems that teen girls today want to get that deflowering over as quickly as possible. It seems to be a point of ridicule if you are a virgin which is so different from in the past.

Lily may not know Pablo's favorite food, but we all now know Baldo's...tamales !!!!!!

Will Lily get pregnant, and R and R adopt the baby ?

Good afternoon, and Happy St Paddy's Day, everybody!

Cynthia, thank you for your excellent and detailed recap. I got a lot out of it. I was a bit unhappy with last night's episode, perhaps because I had been a bit busy yesterday and didn't pay enough attention to the show. Your recap showed me some things I had missed or forgotten.

I was a bit surprised that Jorge would clear the dishes for Valentina. I wonder if there is any significance there.

And Jorge had another meeting with Laura. He seems to be able to just drop in anytime he wants. Laura seemed a bit less hippyish, but still cute dimples. He or she should make a move before Jorge gets involved with Kika.

Um, "Do they know much of anything about each other except that the hormones are calling?" That's all that's needed. Teen years = food, sex, sublimation.

That's not all bad, if Mau and Renee were at that stage they would have closed the deal by now. Of course, it would be a much shorter TN.
:-)

I'm OK with Kika now, and I expect they will pair her up with a nice consolation prize.

- 0.0% Andy

Battin-Oh Bando

Andy, I, too, was surprised that Jorge offered to clear the dishes. Maybe times are a changing in the Jorge household or in his head, at least.

Yes, I agree. Jorge is slowly but sure!y going to get off that high judgemental horse that he has been on since this tn began.

Ohh RgvChick, I'm sorry about your doggies. I hope they are on the road to recovery. I feel your financial pain but medical is expensive not only for us humans, but our fur children too...

Niecie and Susanlynn, should have thought of "Black Swan" right away, but didn't.

The entire dance was pitifully painful to watch. Lili seemed the worst dancer of all. I hope she has another career in mind.

Diana

Jorge prob just didn't trust her with the good china.

:-)

The neighbors are not doing Anifer, Mauricio or Renee any favors letting Anifer 'move in' with first one then the other. I, for one, think it is a bit unrealistic, and Renee getting her nose out of joint and moving back into the house she has rented to R&R is absurd.

The loss of a parent is painful, at least Anifer still has Mauricio, who, for all practical purposes, whether he biologically is or not, is her only parent now. While it is true he lied about Anifer's Mother, he did it without malice. Maybe out of cowardice, as a few have noticed, but which of us would relish sitting Anifer down and telling her, "Well, chipmunk, as best as I can tell, your Mom is actually dead."

Though Mauricio's looks are about the only thing I admire about him, it seems the lease on life's gifts he had previously enjoyed has run out and he finds himself with few if any friends and not much of anything else either. But in exchange he has discovered a Father's love. A gift some people will never know.

kj

Good afternoon, everybody, wherever you are. Oh, right, yesterday was St Paddy's day, maybe everyone had too much chocolate milk.

Kirby, yeah, Mau's dad was quite the doting father up until the accident. And now we have some other kid spying on Mau & Dad. Fabián? Will we be revisiting that old fire in the factory? And, wow, but Logatoys seems to have been a very big company for such a small production line.

And is there some story line starting with Tania (? or whatever her name is) as the black swan. Whyever would she get that particular role, rather than, say, a tree by the lake where she wouldn't have to move?

- Battin-Oh Bando

" than, say, a tree by the lake where she wouldn't have to move?"

Good one. Actually excellent one. Poor girl. I watched and was embarrassed FOR her. I wondered if that was the best she could do, or if somehow it was Tono's fault for not following through on some obscure parental thing.

But the Star, if you will, or either she didn't get the memo about the outfit color change.

But she did look adorable all dolled up with her little feather thing in her hair.

Hey Andy, do you think GE is a good value right now, their stock is 14.31 trending down and I ..........

:-)

RGV if you stop by today, how are the woofers? BTW if you have thirty seven goats and counting how many dogs did you have at last count?

Cynthia: The pictures in the recap crack me up.

Kirby: Lili & Pablo making out drives Jorge crazy.

Is Mauricio still having STUPID on the forehead in regards to Kika ?

Steve, are you watching this one? Mauricio told Kiker to pound sand.

Yeah, was that kid in the video Fabian ? ...weird.

I think that the writers are way off in their depiction of Ani. Despite the lie, I think Ani would be clinging to her only remaining parent. That is what kids do. If anything, I be!ieve that she would be experiencing separation anxiety and want to be with her dad as much as possible.

Bingo Susy

Ani doesn't really have time for all that mushy Family stuff anyway, she is still trying to cover her tracks from when she hacked Verizon and caught Mau and Renee.

The eagle has landed. And is magnificent.

Your "...he finds himself with few if any friends and not much of anything else either. But in exchange he has discovered a Father's love. A gift some people will never know" made my eyes mist Kirby.

I respect everyone's opinions on the Ani "home situation". As most of you know, I don't have children. I don't think it is a bad idea to let Anifer stay with Neron and Flor to try and process her mother's death and deal with what she perceives as Mau's betrayal. She and Mau need to realize how much they love each other. I'm expecting a heartfelt reunion with many smiles soon.

Andy, yes, some of us are wondering how in the hell Tania got the lead role in that rather embarrassing production.

Susanlynn, yes, I'm sure the kid in the video is Fab. There's a lot more layers to his rotten onion I'd wager.

Diana

Hi, Diana, I hope all these hints will actually result in something that makes sense.

We have gotten a lot of PSAs , but unlike recent tns, no alcoholism, drugs, prostitution, or gambling.

Diana, Mine too.

Good evening, everyone!

I finally got a few free minutes to write something. I've been checking in, but only to read the great comments which are a nice break from the hectic days.

Diana, my woofers are slowly improving. Kirby, I had seven dogs up to last week. Someone dropped of a terrier-like puppy ...without my knowledge of course; so now I have eight...but looking for a kind soul who is willing to adopt the puppy.

My seven woofers were having trouble woofing down food. I had two that didn't eat for four days and that is why I took ALL of them to the vet. They are all eating now, but still not the amount that they normally eat. I'm spending more time with them trying to find something that they won't turn their noses at. Plus, I've had some unexpected visitors (the two-legged human kind :-) so I wanted my home to be cleaner than usual.

Susy, this is Star (#4) -------------->

Love her little white paws Rgv Chick! Hope your large family continues to improve in health and that you can keep up with all the demands on your time. Sounds like you are carrying a heavy load.

What a kind heart you have RgvChick. Star is a sweetheart.

I hope your little ones find something palatable. So many mouths to feed yet you make the time to spend with each. If only there were more folks like you, the world would be a happier place.

Diana

RGV check their phones, there is a new food challenge app going around. The neighbor caught her dog doing it.

Happy Monday

CHickie....hope that your pups are all feeling better soon. People sometimes dropped unwanted dogs off at our farm, and my dad kept them and named them all Puppy.

Well, it is sunny and going up to 50 today. Spring springs tomorrow, but snow I'd predicted for tomorrow night into Wednesday. Boo

CHickie..Are all your pups terriers ?

Rgv Chick, Glad to hear your woofers are improving. You must be so relieved now that they are starting to eat again. I hope they're back to eating their normal amount very soon -- and that you get some rest.

Thanks everyone, for your kind words and well wishes. My woofers are improving every day.

Susy, my 7 dogs are chihuahua mixes. Trixie, the oldest one is a Maltese-chihuahua mix and the others have some jack Russell in them, plus who knows what else.

Kirby, phone privileges have been taken away ;-)

Diana and Niecie, the good thing is that I’m retired, so I can dedicate all my time to my animalitos. It gets hectic at times but I do get some rest.

The patio is the best. You all make my day brighter :-)

Thank you everyone. I have been on the injured list since Friday. I wrote the recap from the Mexican version so I hope it matched the version we saw on Univision.

I had taken Friday off from work because I had plans to go to a local university to take a class. Instead, I ended up calling 911 on myself and ended up in the emergency room for a few hours. I thought that I as having a stroke because after trying drink my first cup of morning coffee, (I hadn't even looked at myself in the mirror yet) I noticed the cup felt funny to my lips, like I had dental work and the Novocaine was starting to wear off. But I had no dental work done. I had just woken up. I ran to look at myself in the mirror and found that the left side of my face was drooping down. I could not smile and had no control over my left facial muscles. I could not lift my left eyebrow. I know the beginning symptoms of a stroke is weakness on one side, especially the face. I did not want to wait till it got worse because I did not want to be in a situation where I could not call for help. So I dialed 911 and explained that I thought I might be having a stroke.

Paramedics came and took me away to a hospital with the best stroke center. After being put through several tests, including CT, MRI, I was diagnosed with Bell's Palsy. I am on steroids and antiviral meds.

So if you don't see me around commenting, it's because being in front of the computer is difficult since I cannot blink my left eye. I have to keep it covered and I find it difficult to concentrate on a computer screen with only one eye. Bell's Palsy is supposed to subside after 2 weeks. My mouth droops downward on my left and it is difficult to eat. I cannot drink through a straw because my lips will not grasp the straw on the left. When I try to talk, my face all wants to veer to the right. I'm like a car out of alignment and pulling toward the right. My paralyzed left side is trying to make the right to all the work but it cannot.

Anyway, just wanted to let you all know what I am going through. I'll post later on my thoughts regarding this TN and how I really don't like where I see it going.

Cynthia, I'm so sorry. Thank goodness you reacted quickly to get the medical care you needed. I am amazed by your grace and fortitude in dealing with this sudden illness. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I hope this silly show can help with your rest and relaxation as you recover.

(((Cynthia)))..so sorry to hear this news. I do not know much about Bell's Palsy, but I think that my great nephew had it when he was a teenager. I am sending out prayers and good vibrations to you)))). This has been a difficult year for you so far I know. Sometimes, challenges come in multiples.

Cynthia, I'm very sorry you are going through this, but I salute you for your quick action to make sure things didn't go from bad to worse. It very definitely could have been a stroke. All too often people tell themselves it will go away, it will get better, and don't take prompt action.

Thank you for sharing with us what happened to you, it gives me a good idea just how close people here are, and that we are in a very small way a "family".

Cynthia, I am sorry to hear about your illness. You were so smart in addressing your medical situation as quickly as you did. Keeping you in my thoughts and hoping you are feeling better soon.

Cynthia, you are a smart cookie. Thank God you called the squad immediately. And you will soon be healthy as well as mart once the medication does its job. Two of my students had Bell's Palsy and made a complete recovery.

But sending love, healing prayers and Susanlynn's wonderful good vibes (((((((()))))))))))))).

Prayers from Florida Cynthia. I know it is a long way to Ca. but it will still work, believe me.Thankfully it was not a stroke. We are all pulling for you.

I mentioned it to Mr. Eagle and he joined in with had bowed.

Cynthia,
I'm just now back from our vacation, am caught up reading recaps (no internet access on trip), and am sooo glad you got yourself to the hospital. I hate that it's Bell's Palsy and I hope you will have a complete recovery! Hubby's assistant had it many years ago and she fully recovered, but not as fast as she wanted. (((Hugs)))

Thank you, recappers, for all your recaps the past several episodes. Without you, I would be lost!

RGV Chick, any idea what your dogs were sick with? 🐶🐶🐶 I'm very glad they are improving. (Hugs) to them, too!

Cynthia, once again, please get well soon. But I also want to thank you for managing to put up the recap for Friday's episode after your misadventure. You are a real trooper and deserve a medal! A Pink Heart, perhaps.

Cynthia, you are a very courageous person. Your strength and determination will help you get through this in no time, I'm sure. You have one more person wishing you a speedy recovery!

LLinda
