Caray, Caray!

• Repeat of Nuria's father getting in Ricardo's face about the case, accusing him of ruining his grandson's life, etc, saying that Daniela is mentally ill. [If he keeps on like this he'll have a stroke.]
  
  
• Alan visited Carlos in his hospital room. Carlos told him that things went well when Alejandra visited him. Alan told him that he caught up with the hookers from the bachelor party and the news isn't good; they seem to think he did it. Carlos continued to deny having murdered Patricia. Alan told him he was about to make an agreement with the police department, which sounds like he wants Carlos to cop a plea. Carlos will not do anything of the kind. [We all think that Alan wants him out of the way.]
• Benjamin delivered a progress report on his fraud case to Alonso. It seems to have a complication because the business in question went bankrupt. They are about to bring charges because of what happened to the credit card accounts of bank customers. Alonso was satisfied and told Benjamin that if he needed help he could assign other lawyers to assist him. Benjamin declined this offer, saying he can handle it. Alonso reminded him that the firm is a team. Ricard arrived before Benjamin walked out and told Alonso that they had won the case. Benjamin makes another dig about “I hope you won't regret the hurt you have forced on this child”. Ricardo didn't take the bait, saying that everyone has the right to a good defense. Benjamin backed off, shook his hand, and left. Alonso and Ricardo talked about getting a good child psychologist into the situation.
• Paula was entertaining her friends, Lourdes and Alicia, who are curious about Mauricio, whom Paula seems to be either interested in or dating. Alejandra arrived and explained what happened with the case. She's not upset about it because Ricardo's arguments were good and she believes in the sincerity of his client. She commented that Daniela was very lucky to have Ricardo for a lawyer. Alicia started teasing her about a possible attraction to Ricardo. The others got into it but Alejandra told them that Ricardo was married and she doesn't fool around with married men. He called at that moment to talk about planning the meeting between Daniela and Nuria. They agreed on the next day with additional discussion we did not hear.
• Roberto asked Olivia how things went with Leonardo and she told him “Bad, because he has a girlfriend. Worse, she is unbearable.” Roberto was a little upset [He clearly encouraged her to pick Leonardo up and didn't anticipate this] but finally said that this too shall pass. Victoria arrived and when they explained this she got on Roberto's case for it, accusing him of thinking that all other men are like himself. She told them about Rocio's call that morning and how badly her visit to her went. Roberto said he didn't understand men like Dario, as women are supposed to be the most beautiful things in life. Victoria accused him of not taking this seriously and walked out of his office.
• Ana served Leonardo an evening snack in bed. He is taking this a little too seriously, thinking that she is missing a lot of work and going to a lot of trouble on his behalf. He got her to sit on the bed next to him and builds up to the marriage proposal. She looked a little surprised and a little uncomfortable, but he didn't notice.
• Benjamín and Leticia made some night moves [location unknown, but geneeric enough to look like a hotel room] along with shop talk regarding her getting promoted to senior lawyer. The D word came up and it turns out that Benjamin has a twelve-year-old son. It seems that Leticia is hoping to become the next Mrs Acosta. [Leticia, be careful what you wish for.]
• While Ana did not say no to Leonardo's proposal – in fact, saying “It's not a bad idea” – she talked about her family and her work. Without saying “Yes” she said “Te amo” which he believed. However, we don't.
• Next morning Benjamin encountered a product placement ad when he ogled the secretary's shoes at the office on his way in.
• Ricardo and Daniela arrived at her son's sports practice. He left Daniela at the chain link fence to watch the game while he greeted Alejandra, who identified the boy. She was there with her client. There was no actual meeting yet, but Daniela watched her son playing fútból with his friends. Nice-looking kid and his name is Santiago. She commented on how tall he was and that he is a happy child. When he scored a goal everyone cheered, but a coach and two other kids gave Daniela an oddly hostile look on their way out. She said she was used to this and confided in Ricardo that she is confused now. He is cautiously optimistic as they left.
• Gustavo redacted a charge in one of his current cases. Benjamin entered and tried to get him to agree to support Leticia's petition for promotion. No answer from him.
• Ricardo and Alejandra met for coffee after their clients went home. They started discussing the situation. Alan saw them from across the room and jumped to conclusions. Ricardo then offered Alejandra the job at Vega & Associates. She was pleased at this offer but Alan approached them and made the accusation that she was cheating on Carlos. She told himi he was out of line. Ricardo told him off. That didn't stop him questioning her possible motives for wanting to work at Vega & Associates. She told him she was working now, discussing a case with Ricardo. Alan insisted that Alejandra was Carlos' novia but she said she would not agree with that in view of what happened with the dancer-hooker. He tried the guilt-trip, which looked like it had some effect. After he left the table Ricardo offered to drive Alajandra home.
• Benjamin told Leticia that he secured Gustavo's support but then reminds her that she needed the women's support as well. Benjamin pointed out that Victoria always defends women she knows. He also says that any lawyer would want an assistant like her. She reminded him that she refuses to be an assistant any longer. She insisted on being a senior lawyer with her own cases.
• Rocio was depressed because she didn't know what to tell her children. Victoria suggested getting a child psychologist. Rocio didn't want to leave her husband [¡Idiot!] because “He is the love of my life.” Victoria told her she must not put the children at risk or let him hurt her anymore. She pledged her help.
• Ricardo drove Alejandra home and met Paula, who seemed impressed with him. Alejandra apologized to him about Alan and he reminded her to think about the job offer. She promised to think about it.
• Olivia and Leticia discussed the case they were working on. Leticia asked for Olivia's support in getting the promotion. Olivia reminded her that the final decision will be made by Alonso with Roberto, Ricardo, and Victoria. Leticia asked Olivia for her help and she agrees to give it.
• Victoria tried to call Rocio but she didn't answer her phone. She got both frustrated and worried about this and told Roberto, explaining that this is part of the circle of domestic violence. The major frustration of the moment is that Rocio would not bring charges against her husband. He advised her to be a friend and be there for Rocio.
• Paula wanted to know everything. Alejandra told her about what happened and about the job offer. She had not yet decided whether she would accept because of what is currently going on in her life. Paula reminded her to look after herself and her own interests. Alejandra told her that going to Vega & Associates, the firm Carlos competes with, felt like betrayal. Paula said that this has nothing to do with her relationship with Carlos emphasizing “Betrayal is what he did to you.” She also reminded her that this job offer is prestigious and would not be made to just anyone. If that door is closed it may not open again.
• Ricardo got a call from Natalia asking for help with her math homework. Elena did not have the patience and she isn't home at the moment. He dropped everything and left the office.
• Roberto was working late and called Ana on her cell. She was lying next to Leonardo and tried to avoid answering the phone. When he called her attention to it she answered and told Roberto he had a wrong number. He lost it slightly in front of Victoria, made another playful pass at her and she played her usual hard to get. When she exited his office he started thinking of her. [We can probably be sure that Victoria is whom he really wants.]
• Ricardo arrived at Elena's. She and her plunging neckline were ready for him as she came down the stairs. She did a 180 on her promise that he could visit the kids whenever he wanted and told him that she was in charge of them and he needed her permission. He reminded her that his relationship with them is not dependent on their differences. She stood in front of the stairs and would not allow him to go up to see Natalia, finally accusing him “You abandoned us!” Bitch.
• Gustavo was on the phone with his wife, Isabel, telling her he would be late for dinner because he was working. Afterward his phone rings and the name Milena came up. He smiled, put the phone in his pocket, picked up his laptop, and left the office. [Looks like he's also stepping out on his wife.]
• Elena started the same argument that Ricardo neglected her for work, which he denies. He reminded her that he didn't want the children to see them fighting all the time. Natalia came down to his rescue to lead him upstairs but Elena shrewishly tells him not to expect this every time he wants it. [What a selfish, childish, needy bitch she is.]
• Juan got home from the courthouse to find his mother (Susanna) with Lola, whose son he had helped. The lady had baked him a cake. She took her leave as his mother told him how proud she was of him and he talked about eventually getting into a good firm.
• Ricardo helped Natie with her math homework. Sounded like long division. She loved how patient he is with her.
• The next morning Alejandra visited Carlos in jail. Same old, same old as last time. She looked a little ill at ease when he talked about winning her back. She told him that she got a job offer at Vega and Associates and that she was going to accept it. He did not look pleased.
