Caray, Caray!

• Repeat of Carlos' beatdown which didn't – but should have – result in brain damage.
• Leonardo and Ricardo talked about Elena and Anna. Leonardo appears to have been a lifetime workaholic and not had much experience with women and relationships. He's thinking about getting married.  [Will he ever be in for a shock.]
  
  
• Alejandra and her mother were talking over breakfast when Alan called about Carlos' beating. Alejandra grabbed her purse and ran, playing into Carlos' hand.
• At the morning meeting Gustavo reported on the results of his investigation into his client's situation. It appears that Paquito's sperm donor has no income but his father is wealthy. The law allows him to be made financially responsible for Paquito so he will be working on that. Ricardo reported that Alejandra had a good defense and isn't making it easy for him. Benjamín started needling him that he can't win this case. Victoria let him have it. She and Olivia commended Ricardo for taking on a case with these issues. Gustavo thinks that the child in this case should be allowed to know his father. Alonso reminded the others that they were not there to judge their clients but to help them. Roberto arrived late, saying it was because of his night moves. He is assigned the case they are filing against Mendez. His boasting continues, with him kissing the women. Victoria got disgusted and left the room, saying he was shameless. After the meeting Olivia told Roberto she saw him in the bar with his client's witness. In return he teased her about Leonardo. She didn't take the bait and walked away.
• Anna stepped out of Leonardo's room at the hospital and called Roberto. She invited him to ask her out. They agree to meet at 8PM.
• Alejandra saw Carlos in his hospital bed. He goes on about innocents in jail, playing her like Paganini played his violin. Carlos went on about getting back together with Alejandra. She didn't commit to it, but kissed him before leaving. Alejandra told Alan to do something about the prison situation. Alan pointed out that such things frequently happen in prisons but he will talk to the warden. He then worked on her to help Carlos have the will to go on. Sickening.
• Gustavo explained to Lupe that he will have to go after Paquito's grandfather because he has the money and the obligation now that his own son has no income they can go after. She looked desperate, but he told her that she will get the money at the conclusion of the case. In the meantime he bought new shoes for the boy, for which she was grateful.
• Ricardo called his kids, who put him on speaker phone. He just called to say he loves them; he's a good father. Benjamín barged into the office to interfere in his transgendered client's case. Ricardo is hoping to set a precedent in the human rights area. Benjamín just wants to bring him down.
• Olivia and Victoria had the same conversation about Leonardo.
• Alejandra told her mother about what happened with Carlos and that she did not commit to getting back together with him. Paula is worried; so are we.
• Roberto and Anna went back to the same club. She was wearing a nice white raincoat. He didn't appear worried about being seen by his client's witness. The first kiss happened. He was looking to make more night moves.
• Ricardo visited Leonardo and talked about his case. He will be meeting with a psychologist Roberto recommended.
• Alejandra told her father about Carlos. He was confident in her legal skills but said not to sacrifice herself for this. They talked about the custody case and she praised Ricardo both as a lawyer and a person. She later talked with Ricardo on the phone. The next day is in family court.
• Roberto and Anna went to a fancy hotel room near the bar. She gets all vampy on him and we see that she was naked under her coat.
• The next day Victoria's morning workout was interrupted by a call from Rocio, her client. Her husband had beaten her up. Victoria bolted from the health club.
• Roberto woke up next to Anna in the king-sized bed. He told her he had to go to the office and she said she had to go home for a few days, so they went for Round Two.
• In family court the child psychologist testified that a child in therapy can understand this situation. Alejandra asked if there was a possibility of trauma and the shrink said there was. There was nothing definitive here. The judge asked if the attorneys had anything else. Alejandra said her client wanted her son to know the truth, but when he hits his majority [which will be in ten years]. Ricardo stood up for his client's rights as a parent and that she was seeking them in good faith. Both clients looked nervous.
• Anna had the gall to go to the hospital to see Leonardo, who was dressed for release. He asked her to come stay with him but she begged of for a few days “for work.” She went to get the papers. Roberto called and Leonardo told him he was getting out of there in half an hour.
• The judge wanted to hear from the clients. Nuria is too emotional, saying she would not recognize Daniela as her son's father. Daniela calmly stated that she wanted the boy to have her name and her financial support. Nuria started up again, Alejandra tried to restrain her. The judge said he needed to retire to chambers to make a decision. All rise.
• Anna returned to Leonardo's room with the papers and the news that the firm paid all the medical bills. She commented on how nice this was and Leonardo agreed. Knock on door. It's Olivia picking up Leonardo because Roberto had work to do. Olivia picked up the teddy bear and told Anna to pick up the overnight bag. Anna's ass isn't grass yet. [We can't wait, can we?]
• The judge decided in favor of Daniela Seguro, case closed. Nuria got nasty again and walked out. In the courthouse corridor Nuria called her father to tell him what happened. As she ended the call Daniela came out of the courtroom and Nuria got nasty with her again. Alejandra told her that they will appeal the decision but properly. Nuria insulted Ricardo for being Daniela's lawyer, then slapped Daniela. Alejandra and Ricardo realized that this case is far from over. He asks her to dine witih him but she declines, saying she wants to keep their relationship professional. Close-up of the handshake.
• Victoria visited Rocio and talked about getting her husband arrested only to have her client say that she called her as a friend, not a lawyer. Rocio defended her brute of a husband, saying he was jealous. She started to blame herself. She is a textbook example of a victim being isolated at home with her children. Victoria told her she was not to blame and realizes that this beating wasn't the first. Rocio is in deep denial and Victoria can't convince her otherwise. She tells Victoria she is doing what she is doing “for the children.”
• Leonardo arrived at his apartment with his two women. Anna laid it on thick about taking care of him for a few days before he returned to the office. “Te amo,” she said. [Yeah, right. NOT.]
• Nuria's father barged into Ricardo's office with insults about the case and about lawyers and money. No violence, but he said he would not allow “that thing” near his grandson. Victoria and Roberto, both of whom witnessed this, told Ricardo they would stand by him.
