Pablo sits in the waiting room of the clinic when Lili
comes out and tells Pablo not to pay anything; she changed her mind at the last
minute and she just wants to leave (Yay, Lili!).
At the school, Yolanda cheers with her team and yells
that she knew they were the best. A few steps away, Toño speaks up for Yolanda
and Veronica wonders how he can dare to defend her. Toño points out that
Yolanda is a mother who gives all her time to her children. When he adds that
Veronica is wrong and that the important thing is that the kids had fun playing
though they didn’t win, Veronica insists that the woman put in a kid who was
huge and that she is a cheater. After Yolanda yells to Neto that he played well
and walks away, Veronica mimics her and decides that she can’t remain quiet; so
she goes off after Yolanda. Neto asks what’s wrong with his mother; so Toño
responds that she doesn’t know how to lose and makes light of the difference in
the score; though Neto reminds him that the score was 5-0 (Neto being too young
to understand the Lackanookie syndrome). Outside, Veronica goes after Yolanda
who wonders if Veronica has come to congratulate her, but Veronica wants to
complain that she brought in a big bully at the last minute… it isn’t fair!
Yolanda retorts that it wasn’t against the rules and the kid is the same age as
the others; they can’t keep him from playing just because he’s tall. When
Yolanda tells Veronica that she should know how to lose, Veronica concedes, but
adds that Yolanda should learn how to stop meddling and coaching a team that
doesn’t even have her sons as players…and she’s also putting her big nose in
other’s families. (Thank your lucky stars it's only the nose, stick figure
Mom) Yolanda remarks that she will put
her nose (and anything else) wherever she wants, especially when others don’t
take care of their own. She then flippantly turns around; so Veronica volleys
the soccer ball which smashes into Yolanda’s head.
and makes her fall flat on her face (well, she went face
down, but I trust not face FIRST. Surprised she didn't bounce back…BOING! BOING!
BOING!). Veronica immediately goes to her and calls out her name several times,
but Yolanda is out cold…
Inside the gym, Toño urges Neto to go congratulate the
members of the other team. Meanwhile, Mauricio tells María that Anifer has a
family, a home, a school and friends. When he points out that Anifer has a
future there and that María can’t take her just like that, María responds that
she can definitely take her; she is Anifer’s mother and they had a life in San
Crispín; it is only natural that she and Anifer go back together. When she asks
if Mau really thought Anifer was going to stay with him as if she didn’t exist,
Mau points out that María should understand that he is now Anifer’s father…even
though he isn’t really her father, that doesn’t matter. (What did you want me to do, dig you up and
put her in with you? You were supposed to be dead!) He and Anifer have spent
time together and shared many important moments. When he adds that all of that
happened because she sent Anifer far away to someone who she didn’t even know,
María retorts that she did that to protect Anifer…and she truly thought she was
sending her to her real father. María had no way of knowing that Fabián was
using his name. Mau points out that was very fortunate because Fabián doesn’t
even care about Anifer…and Mau learned to love Anifer, take care of her and
love her. Mau chides María for just arriving out of nowhere and wanting to take
Anifer away; he doesn’t think that’s right. María responds that she has a right
to be with her daughter; Anifer needs her and she will go with her wherever she
decides….because that is what is right…mother and daughter together. Mau tries
to talk, but María interrupts and tells Mauricio that she is very grateful for
all that he did, but there is no way she will be apart from Anifer. (Is Maria
trying to sidestep the colossal babysitting bill which she must now owe
Mauricio? You can't have it both ways, Cruz.) Renée then interjects that both
Mauricio and María can chide each other as much as they want, but they need to
be careful about what they do or the one who will be hurt is Anifer.
Outside, Neto and Leo, Yolanda’s son, go down the stairs
and find Veronica crying and huddled over Yolanda. As they approach, they hear
Veronica pleading with Yolanda to pleeeaase wake up. After Neto asks if Yolanda
fell asleep, Veronica tells them they need to take her to the infirmary…Yolanda
fainted because of the heat! (Liar! Liar! Stick figure pants on fire!)
Back with the dueling duo, Mauricio insists that María
can’t take Anifer just like that, but María thinks the sooner she takes Anifer
the better (Excuse me, for who?) so that Anifer won’t get her hopes up that
they will be staying there; she, as Anifer’s mother, can do whatever she thinks
is best. Renée again interjects that they should stop yelling because Anifer
will hear them, caramba! Meanwhile, Neto runs up to Toño and tells him that his
mother needs help and he should hurry. As Leo tells some other mothers that his
mother needs help, Rafa overhears and runs to assist. Camera slides over to
María who is telling Mauricio that she is sorry if he doesn’t understand her
reasons; and though it sounds bad, she isn’t swayed by him because he is not
Anifer’s father. Mau makes his case—he is the father Anifer was looking for; he
won her love and respect...that should mean something to María. (Remember you
are talking to an Ex-con, Mau!) Renée then tells them that this is not the
place to be fighting and asks María to go with her so they can talk alone and
away from the school. María doesn’t want to be separated from Anifer; so Renée
assures her that Anifer won’t be left alone…she will be safe there at school.
When Mauricio adds that Anifer is not alone…her father is there to take care of
her and Renée assures her that Mauricio won’t do anything stupid, María thinks
about it.
After Jorge opens the security gate to drive into the
cul-de-sac, Kika quickly gets into his car and he hugs her tightly as he throws
the Transporcity folders to the back of the car. When he tells her that she
spooked him, Kika explains that she rushed in so that his neighbors wouldn’t
see her…since he still doesn’t want them to find out about their relationship.
She then adds that she kept thinking about what he said; her intent is not to
take over his kids…children…step-kids…whatever…but they are her fans and
because of that, she is willing to go ahead and be a support for him out...make
a go of it with him. She also wants to make sure he knows that if she is doing
this, it’s because she feels strongly and really good about him. When Jorge
starts to tell her that he also feels something, Kika firmly tells him to let
her talk… (Luuuurve.....lust with jealousy added in…)
She continues that it has to be something very intense
for her to want to get involved with a man that has a bunch of kids in full
hormonal rage…if she does it, it’s because she is truly in love with him. Jorge
tries to get a word in, but Kika insists that he not interrupt. She understands
that he wants to keep their relationship “in the closet” so that the people he
knows and his children can get used to her being around. As she continues that
they need to get to know her, Jorge grabs her and plants a big kiss on her
speedy lips. After he stops, he apologizes; he just didn’t know how to stop
this overflow she was spilling out. When he finally tells her that he is also
willing to give it a go, they kiss passionately. (Don't mess up your Uber
papers in the back seat Jorge)
At the school, Rodrigo asks Rafa, who is checking
Yolanda, if she is okay. Rafa tells them that she can’t wake up, so they do
need to call an ambulance. (And notes this one is missing its flea collar)
Rodrigo wonders if Rafa is kidding, so Rafa reminds him that he is a
doctor...when he adds that he is a veterinarian, Yolanda gives him a quick
look, but then shuts her eyes immediately…(And mentally hopes she is not
getting a distemper shot.)
After Rafa sarcastically asks if they thought Yolanda had
the appearance of a dog, Veronica responds that from where she is standing, it
does look like a dog. (Shut up, stick figure lady!) Toño then wonders if Yolanda
needs mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, but Veronica tells him to cool it! Just
then, a woman approaches and says she is a medical doctor. (Move over, Woofie)
When she asks what happened, Veronica responds that she isn’t sure…she just
fainted! Toño wonders if Yolanda actually fainted…just like that. When the
doctor is about to put some alcohol on Yolanda, Yolanda miraculously wakes up
and tells them she is better. After they help her up, Yolanda holds her head
and thinks she was hit in the head…it felt like a big ball. (With a stick
figure hand print on it, Yoli?) Toño
looks suspiciously at Veronica who thinks it must have been a ball of heat…
that must have felt like a boom! When the doctor’s friend asks if Yolanda is
better, the doctor assures “her love” that everything is fine and asks her to
give her the baby. Rafa thinks the baby is so cute and wonders if one of them
is the mother; so they both nod and say that the baby belongs to both of them.
Toño then interrupts and tells them he will take Yolanda elsewhere so she can
feel better (…and he can feel her?). As
they start walking, Yolanda holds on tightly and yells out in pain as Veronica
watches in disgust. (Toño dear, I landed on these, do you think you could take
a look? They hurt...and there may be a leak!)
Inside the gym, Mauricio sits on the floor with Anifer and
tells her he would like to live with her forever…until he is old, decrepid, and
chasing after her with a cane. Anifer also wants to see him when he is old…and
wrinkled. Mau tells her that sometimes people who love each other have to be
apart…and he is not sure if someday that will happen to them. Anifer is sure
that they will always be together..now they are more…it’s her, her mother,
Renée and him..they are four now! All Mauricio asks of the monkey of his heart
is that she be very aware of what might happen. Anifer thinks that the four of
them will never separate. When Anifer asks if they are all going to Chiapas or
if her mother will be staying there, Mauricio remains quiets and asks her to
give him a hug.
At Logatoys, Falcón tells Fabián that María left the hotel
room the day before. Fabián takes out his phone to check where she is. When
Falcón wonders if María still has the phone he gave her, Fabián is confident
that she does since she knows nothing about those technology tactics. Fabián
then confirms his suspicion that she is at the idiot’s house. Falcón wonders if
she has even left Mauricio’s house and thinks that instead of them yelling at
each other, they just might get along…if Fabián catches his drift. Fabián huffs
and and doesn’t think so...and if they do, it won’t last long. Falcón still
doesn’t understand why Fabián insisted on bringing María; she could accuse him
and become Mauricio’s ally. Fabián smirks and wonders if Falcón ever played
when he was a child..he doubts it (Hisssssss…).
As María and Renée walk alone through a park, Renée wonders
why María is so untrusting; so María asks if she wants the reasons in
alphabetical order or the way she recalls them. If Renée can’t understand her
reasons after all María has been through, then she wouldn’t know what else to
tell her. Renée apologizes and does understand; all she wants is that María get
to know this place. When María wonders why Renée brought her there, Renée explains
that she just wants María to see that Mauricio is a good father and has become
very important for her daughter. The worst thing María could do right now is to
separate Anifer from Mauricio. (At least now there are two in this show who are
not completely selfish, Anifer and Renee.)
Back at the school soccer field, the Barrientos family cheers
for Tania. Neto asks Veronica if Tania might get hurt; so Veronica wonders why
he would ask that…girls can play just as well as boys and nothing will happen
to Tania, but Neto is afraid Tania will get hit with the ball…that really
hurts. When Toño adds, “If and when it’s not done on purpose,” Vero tells him
to cool it, so Toño clarifies that he is talking about the professionals. As
they watch Tania kick the ball, they all yell when she makes a “Goooaal!” Toño
yells that he didn’t know his daughter was so good; so Esperanza tells him that
she inherited her kick. After Toño laughs, Esperanza assures him that she was
really good! (Far too few of those famous kicks must have landed on Master T.)
As Lili and Pablo walk back to school, Lili confides in Pablo
that her mother never told them outright, but she and Baldo were obviously not
planned; she always figured that her mother went through with the pregnancy
because they were a result of the love that Jorge and her mother felt for each
other. When Pablo asks if the reason why she decided to have the baby was
because of the love they felt for each other, Lili responds that there are
thousands of things that she is unsure of…among them is whether either one of
them can take care of the baby. She then tells him that they can continue
talking later; she needs to go back to her classes before she gets caught.
Before she enters, Pablo tells her that even though there may be nothing
between them anymore, he will always keep tabs on the baby. Lili doesn’t know
what is going to happen next, but she thinks it best that they stay away from
each other for now to avoid problems with Jorge and Baldo…or with anyone. Pablo
responds that, either way, he will keep watching over her…since he has a right
to do so. Before Pablo leaves, Lili thanks him; and as she walks away, Pablo
watches her…
At Jorge’s house, Jorge and Kika are on the couch getting it
on, but Jorge ruins the moment when he tells Kika that when the baby comes, he
will take care of it. Kika thinks that he can’t just take the baby away from
Lili; it is the young lady’s responsibility. (Kika, do you ever feel that you
got Jorge at the Boyfriend Thrift Shop?)
As Jorge starts kissing Kika, he refutes that Lili is not a young
lady…she is a child; so Kika pushes him away and tells him Lili is not a
child…she is pregnant. When she continues that he needs to stop treating his
kids as if they were little children…they are already big, Jorge tells her not
to talk to him about those things right now because he is (Jorny Jorge and...) busy with other
things…(like slobbering all over her…)
…but Kika pushes him off again and tells him she respects his
silence. When she stands up and tells him it’s time for her to go since the
kids should be home soon, Jorge grabs her and starts to kiss her as he tells
her that he needs to show her something (uh-huh,,,the Jorny hot diggity dawg?), but Kika again pushes him
away and asks if he shouldn’t be at Logatoys. She comments that it is strange
that she has found him there at home so many times and not at his office. When
she asks if everything is alright, Jorge tells her every thing is fine as he
gropes her. When he adds that he has been working from home for a few days…he
is much more productive. Just then, Jorge’s phone chimes; so he tells Kika it’s
a “What’s” message from Logatoys. (Liar, liar pants really ARE on fire)
At the park, Renée tells María about the time Anifer ran away
and they found her up in the tree they are standing by. She recounts how they
couldn’t get Anifer down until Mauricio told Anifer that she was the most
important thing in his life. When Anifer finally agreed to come down, they were
scared to death thinking she would get hurt, but before they knew it, she was
by their side…and ever since then Anifer turned into Mauricio’s monkey, Tarzana
or flying kid. María isn’t impressed and tells Renée that what she is telling
her isn’t helping her any; the only thing she gets from it is that Mauricio was
not capable of taking care of a seven-year-old child. Renée explains that
Mauricio has changed a lot; the only reason for that change is the love he has
for Anifer. María still isn’t convinced. (Well, capable or not at first,
Crispin Cruz, he managed somehow with results which are hard to find fault
with. Proof positive you don't have to be a genius to be a Daddy. As a matter
of fact, what we have learned so far, is the brain might possibly be optional.)
At the hospital, Nerón is looking over some documents when
Flor comes from behind and scares him when she uses Milady’s hand to poke him.
When she asks if he has seen the costs of the treatment, Nerón responds that he
has already decided; this is where she will be getting her treatments. Flor
thinks the hospital is too expensive and that they should look at other options
at the public hospitals. Nerón insists that this is the hospital where she will
get her treatments; he hasn’t told her, but he has some money saved. Flor
questions him, but Nerón tells her to leave everything to him. He jests as he
assures her and hugs her and doesn't let her see his concern...
As Renée and María walk into the cul-de-sac, they bump into
Kika who is surprised that Renée has been able to continue with her job as a
nanny. When Renée wonders what she is doing there, Kika tells her she came
looking for the attorney…the one with the little moustache…to help her with
some business, but he couldn’t. As Kika starts to walk away, Renée snidely
remarks that she hopes she isn’t up to her vengeance schemes against the
“catire”. When María asks who they are talking about, Kika thinks she is just
another person who needs a dictionary; so she explains that “catire” means
blond or fair-hair/skin. Kika then asks who the woman is; so María introduces
herself and tells Kika she is Anifer’s mother. Kika is surprised and thinks
that María must have been resurrected. Kika adds that Mauricio is a double liar
and that she is glad she has nothing to do with him…she did have a romance with
him, but it’s over. Renée tries to get María away from Kika, but María persists
in asking about Kika’s relationship with Mauricio. Kika continues that they
just dated, but if María is interested in him, she should know that the
favorite father #11 is very much a ladies’ man and does whatever he needs to do
to get what he wants. After Kika finally leaves, Renée tells María not to
listen to her…she is somewhat wacky. (Neither one will ask the other “How do
you get a butt like that…bet she’s wearing falsies?” ...but they have to be
thinking it.)
At the school soccer field, Mauricio sits with Anifer as they
talk about the teams. Anifer doesn’t know which one to root for since she has
friends in both teams. Mauricio tells her that is his point; both teams play
very well, but a decision has to be made; that’s just life. When Anifer doesn’t
understand him, Mauricio asks her that if her mother, who is a good person,
would tell her to go back with her to her town, what would she say. Anifer
remains pensive, so Mauricio tells her not to answer yet because in the other
corner, she has her father who is cool, attractive and just a great guy. When
Anifer questions why he is telling her all of this and wonders if she has to
choose between her mother and him, Mauricio wavers and tells her she won’t have
to choose right now, but maybe someday she will have to make that decision; and
when that happens he will help her so she doesn’t have to worry. Anifer admits
that she likes her town very much and thought they would never return, but she
also thought she would stay here forever. Mauricio thought so too, but her
mother has come back; and if her mother wants to return to the forest, he can’t
keep her from doing that. When Anifer asks why he can’t stop her and if
Mauricio doesn’t want her living with him anymore, Mauricio replies, “I do. It’s
what I would want most in the world.” Anifer states, “I want to be here and
that my mother stay here, too.” Mauricio lovingly smiles at her and hugs her
tightly...until she tells him that she can’t breathe! (What old Mau doesn't have in brains, he
makes up in spades in heart.)
At Mauricio’s house, Renée continues to tell María about
Mauricio. She admits that he was used to getting everything he wanted and that
he was a ladies’ man…he was even involved with that blonde with a horrible
reputation. After she tells María that she can’t stand Kika because she made
Anifer suffer by telling her that her mother was dead without preparing Anifer,
Renée adds that Mauricio defended Anifer with teeth and nails…because of that
and a thousand more reasons she could recount, María shouldn’t separate Anifer
from Mauricio…at least not right now…it would hurt them both very much. María
doesn’t like that Mauricio lied to Anifer, but must accept that Mauricio tried
to protect Anifer however he could and in his own way. Just then, Fabián
arrives and glowers as he wonders what the two ladies are doing there together.
(Renee, look through the peep hole, and meet him with a Butcher knife. Maria,
grab the meat cleaver. Hi Fab, now leave!)
At the soccer field, R&R talk to the female couple who
have a baby. The doctor tells them that they must think that just because they
are women, it is easier, but it isn’t that way at all. (Though, admittedly, the
actual mechanics of the process does favor the woman.) When Rafa asks how they were able to
accomplish it, Redhead explains that they first thought that one of them should
get pregnant by someone they knew…a friend, but it turned out that the men
wanted to be a part of the child’s life; and the ladies didn’t want that…they wanted
their child to be only theirs without the presence of a father. (In Botany, it
is referred to as vegetative propagation.....just sayin’ :-) Rafa shares that is exactly what they want…a
child to be only theirs without the presence of a mother. They discuss the
donation of an ovum; so Rafa tells them they just went through that, but it
didn’t work out. They are looking at other options now. Rafa and Rodrigo then
ask the ladies how they were able to get a child. The ladies laugh and agree to
tell them. (Hey, you four, there might be another way.................just
sayin’ again)
At Mauricio’s house, Renée tells María to calm down. María
yells, “How do you expect me to calm down when all I want to do is pull that
idiot’s eyes out?” When she asks what his name is and Fabián tells her his
name, María shouts, “ How could you dare to use your own daughter like that?”
As she lunges at Fabián, Renée holds her back and tells her to calm down. Fabián
hisses that she also needs to calm down and wonders how she has the audacity to
reproach him when she didn’t even tell him that they had a child; she only told
him a few months ago and only because she had no choice. When he blames María
for not acknowledging Anifer as his daughter, María curses him; and Fabián
counters “And you are irresponsible; so don’t come preaching to me. What did
you expect…that you could just tell me that I’m a father; and just by knowing
that, love would just sprout through spontaneous generation? Please!” María
responds, “I don’t understand how, from the beginning, you pretended to be
someone else. It seems like you had it all planned from the start!” (BINGO!) Fabián
denies it and assures her that the last thing he wanted was to get her
pregnant. Renée interrupts and asks Fabián what it is that he wants; so he
tells her that it is none of her concern; he came to talk to María. He
addresses María and states, “Despite what happened, and though you may not
believe it, I want to compensate you for the harm I caused you by leaving the
child with Mauricio…and that is why I came looking for you. I never thought I
would find you in prison!” Renée thinks it is quite a coincidence; he never
does anything for free. If he looked for María, it wasn’t to compensate her; it
was to hurt Mauricio; so María can take Anifer away. Fabián smirks and towers
over Renée as he asks, “Do you think that the worst thing that could happen to
Mauricio is that a mother recover her child?” He snickers as he continues, “If
you’re looking at it that way, you have a very twisted idea of what ‘hurting’
someone is. Think about it!” Renée thinks that Fabián wants to confuse María,
but Fabián scowls, “I just want to make it clear that I want the world to
know…that Mauricio has known for a long time that María was unjustly in jail;
and he didn’t even bother to lift a finger to tell her that he had her
daughter.” (It's not too late for the
Butcher knife and Meat Cleaver, girls.)
At the soccer field, everyone cheers for Tania who has
scored another goal. Mauricio comments to Anifer about how well Tania plays. He
always saw her as a prima ballerina and didn’t know she was interested in these
games that are so rough. Anifer thinks Tania could be interested in both; and
Mauricio agrees. Anifer then wonders why Renée and her mother are taking so
long (because they a dodging fireballs!); so Mauricio tells her they will catch
up with them at the house. Anifer then asks Mauricio if he loves her mother; so
he tells her that the one he loves is Renée; he does, however, like her mother
because she is her mother and because of her, he has Anifer with him. As
everyone cheers because Tania’s team won and is getting the trophy, Mauricio
gets a text from Renée that Fabián is at the house. Meanwhile, Toño takes a
picture of Tania and her brothers…
At Mauricio’s house, the devil continues to spill his venom
and tells María that if she doesn’t believe him to find out for herself…if
Mauricio never looked for her or told her about Anifer, it was obviously
because he didn’t want her close to his daughter. Renée refutes what Fabián is
saying and tells him that he will have to repeat everything he just said in
front of Mauricio. Fabián responds that is precisely why he came and addresses
María, “If he is crossing the border along with the child, then I am too late.
I’m sorry; what a pity!” When María responds that Mauricio can’t take her
because she has both her and Anifer’s passports, Renée tells her that Mauricio
adores Anifer...so much that he registered her with his last name, got the
passports and pretended to be her father just so no one would take her away
from him. María clarifies that it isn’t that she is siding with this guy (the
devil), but Renée knows very well that Mauricio did want to take Anifer out of
the country. Renée admits that Mauricio did just that, but he reconsidered and
brought Anifer to her; he didn’t take her. Fabián then interjects that if María
wants Mauricio to disappear with the child, she should go right ahead, but she
should think about it…the only one there who can help her get her daughter back
without any problems…is him (Hissed the serpent speaking with forked tongue.)
At the school, Mauricio walks as he talks on the phone with
Jorge who has a man in the back seat of his car. When Mauricio tells him that
María wants to take Anifer back to Chiapas, Jorge isn’t sure of what to tell
him, but the fact is that María was in jail. Mauricio responds that Jorge is
the only one that understands him and is glad he could reach him. When Mauricio
asks if they can meet later, Jorge tells him he can’t because he is
busy…perhaps they can meet much later. Mauricio insists on asking what Jorge is
doing, so Jorge tells him he is just doing things…his things. Mauricio then
asks if María can take Anifer from him, but Jorge doesn’t know…the best thing
Mauricio can do is come to an agreement with María…because she is Anifer’s
mother. When Mauricio asks what Jorge considers him to be, Jorge replies that
he is a father figure, but he is not Anifer’s biological father. Just then,
Anifer comes running out, so Mauricio hangs up. When the Barrientos family
comes out behind Anifer, Mauricio tells them that he has a small emergency and
wonders if Tania can show Anifer some tips on playing soccer; so Veronica
gladly agrees to take Anifer home with them. When Anifer tells Mauricio that
she wants to see her mother, Mauricio explains that she will see her soon
enough, but, right now, he and her mother have things to discuss…adult things.
After Veronica takes the kids, Mauricio holds Toño back and asks him to keep
Anifer inside his house until Mauricio calls him; Toño agrees.
At the soccer field, the female couple explains that first
they considered adopting a child since there are so many children who don’t
have a family and need much care and love, but then they found out about a
sperm bank and they opted to have a child through artificial insemination. The
lady doctor had the baby, but they both love the baby very much. Rodrigo
congratulates them and tells them that they are both beautiful mothers. The
redhead then tells them that they should either look for an ovum donor or
adopt…a father is one who cares and loves a child. After the ladies leave, Rafa
is excited about looking for another friend who could be an ovum donor, but
Rodrigo tells him to slow down…he is becoming obsessed with this idea; and they
should takes things slowly. When Rodrigo adds that they should consider all the
methods, Rafa becomes agitated and tells Rodrigio that the only one there who
wants a child seems to be him (Rafa). He accuses Rodrigo of not caring and
storms away (The only thing he missed was stomping his foot. Was he afraid of
breaking a heel?)
Charitín is on the phone with Kika as she tells Kika that she
is crazy to get involved with a man who has four teen-agers…either that or she
wants to be a martyr. Kika responds that she called her just to let her know,
not to get a lecture. When Charitín asks what that man has that makes her want
to deal with his kids, she wonders if he might be good in bed (take it to the
grave, Kika; NEVER let that out, not even to your Sis), but Kika tells her sex
is not everything…what she and Jorge have is love; and it’s the best love in
the world. Charitín mocks Kika and warns her about their father’s reaction when
he finds out, but Kika is not worried because he can’t tell her what to do with
her life! She still hasn’t forgotten how her father lied and blamed Mauricio’s
father when he was the guilty one. Charitín goes back to talking about Jorge;
she doesn’t understand how Kika changed her view of him if Kika considered him
to be religious, conservative and a super machista. Kika admits that Jorge is
those things, but love can overcome all…and with love, she can make him change
(HA! What planet are you from???)…Kika can fly away even with the cage (okay, we
agree; she’s a koo-koo bird) and she can change Kika too.
In his car, Jorge explains to the man that this is not what
he usually does; he is a corporate attorney and that is why he was having the
conversation on the phone…he was giving a friend some advice. When he tells the
man that this is just a temporary job to make some extra money, the man laughs
and wonders if Jorge is embarrassed about being a Transporcity driver. Jorge
does his yes/no thing until he tells the man that he is not really
embarrassed…it’s just that he has higher job skills. He got his license to get
ahead in life; this job is just to have extra money. The man thinks that this
is an honorable job like any other; Jorge shouldn’t be ashamed…shame is to
steal and get caught. Jorge smirks and tells the man to put himself in his
shoes…what if one of his colleagues were to get in his car; it would be very
difficult for him to explain why he is a chauffeur. The man thinks it would be
as easy as telling them that this was the best option to support his family.
After the man comments that this is a good job and Jorge is his own boss, he
adds that instead of being ashamed, Jorge should be proud.
At the repair shop, Nerón tells Pablo and the other worker
they need to make more money; so he is reconsidering offering home services;
they can also close later and open earlier…even have emergency hours. When
Pablo asks if Nerón doesn’t have enough with the money they are making now,
Nerón tells them that yes, he is, but they need to set higher goals and be more
ambitious…even Pablo could benefit since he and the other worker could get paid
more. When Nerón tells Pablo that he could have a lot of money to take off for
the USA, Pablo tells him that he is no longer leaving because he can’t neglect
his baby. Nerón thinks that is even more reason for Pablo to want to make more
money; a child is very costly. Nerón then congratulates him for taking
responsibility for the baby since there are so many others that just leave
babies everywhere. Pablo remarks that is what his father taught him…to be
responsible…though his father left. Nerón shares that the child will change
Pablo’s life, including his plans to finish his studies.
In Jorge’s car, the man continues his lecture that life has
many turns; it’s like the wheel of fortune…it has its ups and downs. When Jorge
wonders if something similar happened to the man, the man admits that he did go
through something similar. When the man tells him that he was a TV actor,
though not the protaganist, Jorge apologizes because he doesn’t tend to see
telenovelas; though his ex-wife did watch them. The man continues that he went
poking around for jobs for a while until he had a financial crisis; so he had
to change his course. The man then tells Jorge that they have arrived at his
workplace; so Jorge stops the car and gets down to open the door for the man.
When Jorge assumes that the man is the owner of the restaurant he is about to
enter, the man laughs and wishes it were so. He opens his jacket to reveal his
waiter’s uniform and tells Jorge that one has to do what one has to do. (Yeah,
waiter, but you should see this blonde I'm boinking.)
At Jorge’s house, the kids enter the house as Baldo asks Lili
where she was; he didn’t see her at school for a while. Lili retorts that it’s
none of his business and wonders if he thinks he is her bodyguard. Baldo shouts
that he is her brother…but then there is nothing he can do now; she already got
herself pregnant and ruined her life. Lili tells him to be quiet; and Valentina
tells Baldo not to talk to Lili like that. Baldo yells that he is only telling
the truth…Lili couldn’t wait and now she is having a baby; and to make things
worse, she had to get involved with the Indian. Lili then reminds him that
their mother was a single mother and raised them on her own. (How'd that work
out?) After Lili accuses him of being
just like Jorge, Valentina comments that instead of judging Lili, Baldo should
show her some support. Samuel then interjects that if Baldo doesn’t like it,
too bad; they are on Lili’s side because she is their sister! Baldo chides them
for standing together…like siblings. Lili remarks to Baldo that he shouldn’t
get in her face or tell her what to do. She understands perfectly well and
she’ll see how she will manage.
At Veronica’s house, the children enter loudly and excited.
Esperanza tells them that if they are going to play ball, they need to go outside,
but Toño quickly tells them that they should play inside….or celebrate by
drawing. As the kids sit, Anifer thinks the kids are lying about their parents
getting a divorce; so Tania asks Toño to confirm it. Toño tries to change the
subject, but Tania insists that he tell Anifer how they will be getting divorce
but he will live close by…and that they will see each other every day as
always. Toño and Vero look at each other before Vero speaks up and tells them
that they haven’t really talked about it…and it’s not something they should
discuss in front of other kids; they might scare off Anifer. Tania persists and
tells them that either way they will always be with them and that is why they
are not scared. When Neto adds that they will always be their parents, Anifer
gets pensive.
Mauricio storms into his house and lunges at Fabián, but
Renée manages to hold him back as she tells him to calm down…the only thing
Fabián wants is to make him look bad and he shouldn't give him that pleasure.
Fabián tells Mauricio to listen to his little girlfriend;
after all, she is his accomplice in trying to steal Anifer away from María.
Mauricio retorts, “I didn’t steal anyone from anybody! Don’t involve Renée in
this! The problem here is between you and me!” Mau addresses Maria and tells
her, “María, the only thing Fabián wants to do is to take away everything that
is important to me. He doesn’t leave me in peace! That is why he is offering to
help you…don’t you see that he is using you?” Fabián interrupts with, “Are you
sure? Are you sure it’s me? Not you? If I hadn’t found her…if I hadn’t offered
my help…if it were up to you, she would be rotting in jail…and in Guatemala!”
Mauricio counters, “You told me she was a criminal and that Anifer would be in
danger if she found her!” Fabián denies telling Mauricio any such thing and
adds, “Even if you had proof that María was innocent, someone who is selfish
never thinks of anyone but himself; and you are the worst one of all! It’s
always been you…you were always first, second, and last!” Mauricio shouts at
Fabián to get out of his house, but Fabián turns to María and tells her,
“María, don’t forget, you can count on me.” Mauricio shouts, “Sure! Just like
when she sent Anifer to you; and you got rid of your daughter by giving her to
me, right?” Fabián continues to address María, “Excuse the interruption. I can
help you so that this guy won’t take her from you. And you know I am not going
to claim any rights as a father; that should be clear to you. Which one of us
won’t fight you for your daughter?” (Big clue, María, as to whom you should
trust!) After Fabián excuses himself and slithers away, Mauricio and María look
at each other with apprehension. (Mau, there are still enough episodes left to
have him quietly killed and shipped to Guatemala or somewhere…like Hades.)
