Or Two Kidnappings and An Arrest...Are We Close to the End?

Fabian walks into Kika’s suite and sits down with a smile. Kika insists he leave but Fabian is shocked as she was very loveable before, of course, just to steal information, but still. Kika tells Jorge that she will explain everything later, but Fabian continues to insult Kika, calling her slut and whatnot, until Jorge tries to beat him up. Kika holds him back and Fabian tells her that she sure was forthcoming with him before, to spy on him for her new lover, but, either way, she won’t get anywhere. He then turns his attention to Jorge, not at all surprised that he is seducing a rich woman, and Jorge punches him. Fabian backhands him and Kika get sin the middle so they stop. Fabian knows the truth hurts more than any punch, but he’s done his due diligence and caused trouble so he’s out of there. Once alone, Jorge demands Kika explain what is happening.

At Falcon’s, Hector, his son, packs his bags by himself as Falcon comes into the living room with his. Hector wonders why they are packing their own bags and Falcon explains that he gave the servants the day off. He then asks him to pack light and casual as they are going to Miami for sun and fun and they are going to be there for a while as well. Hector is surprised and wonders if they are actually moving there and it if has anything to do with the people who broke into their home. Falcon insists that no one broke in, but Hector knows the truth and demands Falcon admit it. Falcon considers this.

At Renee’s, she sits down with Rafael and Rodrigo, who tell her the good news: they will soon have their baby! They all cheer and Renee congratulates them. Rafael hugs and kisses Renee and thanks her for all her help. He then wishes her good luck in getting her house back, getting her master’s and finding her father. Renee thanks him but doubts the proof they found in Fabian’s laptop is enough. She asks Rodrigo for advice, but Rodrigo wants to know how they came about the laptop in the first place. Renee hesitates, and Rodrigo realizes that she stole the laptop and, therefore, any proof on it is inadmissible. Renee curses her luck.

Kika puts ice on Jorge’s face and tells him about the USB full of information she stole from Fabian’s computer. She admits that she only kept it from him, so he wouldn’t misinterpret her reasons and apologies. He accepts her apology and kisses her, deeply, to show her that he’s serious.

At Mauricio’s, Maria calls her contact in San Crispin and confirms that the same men Fabian paid off are the same that reported charges against her. Mauricio smiles and jumps up and down, because they can finally accuse Fabian formally, and hugs Maria. As they do, Renee walks in with Anifer and sees them. A look of complete disappointment washes across her face.

The next day, Maria wakes up Mauricio, who is sleeping on the dining room table, and he wakes up in a rush, scared. He apologizes and tells her that he was up all night looking for more proof against Fabian, but Maria thinks they have enough with her unlawful stint in prison. Either way, they agree to present everything to Rodrigo and get his take on it. He then realizes the time and tells Maria to go get Anifer ready as he prepares breakfast when Tono knocks. Mauricio tells him he is in a rush and Tono suggests he take Anifer to school with his kids. Mauricio thanks him and gives him a big hug.

At Jorge’s, Dulce comes out of the kitchen and calls the kids down for breakfast. Jorge wakes up from his nap on the couch and asks Dulce if they can talk but she’s busy getting breakfast ready for everyone. She tells Jorge that they can talk later, as they have nothing but time, but insists they talk now because Dulce is acting like she went on vacation for a couple of days when the truth is much worse. Dulce reminds him that they are not divorced though, so they have to work it out, for their family and for God. Samuel runs down then and gives his mother a big hug, but Valentina holds back, remembering all the times her mother blew her off.

At Mauricio’s, Mauricio shows Rodrigo all the proof he has against Fabian, but Rodrigo reveals that he knows they stole the computer from Fabian, so any proof obtained from it is inadmissible. For now, all they can do is file a report with their suspicions and Maria is all for it, as she wants Fabian destroyed for what he did to her.

At school, Anifer is playing during recess when Fabian comes and says hello. He tells her that he misses her, because he feels they connected the other day during the robot toy testing, but Anifer reminds him that neither Maria nor Mauricio wants her near him. She wonders if he doesn’t have any adult friends and Fabian confirms he does but wants to have her as a friend too. He then receives a call from Falcon, who confesses that his computer was stolen, possibly by Mauricio, so he’s leaving Mexico right now before he gets in trouble with the law. Fabian thought the proof was destroyed but Falcon kept it as an insurance policy. Further, he took form the company accounts what they had agreed too and wishes Fabian luck before hanging up. Fabian walks back to Anifer, who notices Fabian has turned green, and he nods before calling Mauricio, who wonders what he wants. Fabian demands to know if he took Falcon’s computer and Mauricio admits he did and they have proof of everything he did. Fabian smiles and tells Mauricio to say hi to Anifer first. Anifer screams hello into the phone and Mauricio tells her to get away from Fabian but Fabian knows Anifer is safe with him.

Later, Dulce arrives home with groceries and runs into Jorge, who demands she stop running away from him because they need to talk. Dulce nods but tries to start dinner when Jorge stops her and demands she stop acting like nothing happened. He also reminds her that they are separated, though not legally divorced, and there is nothing between them anyone. She urges him to give her a second chance, but Jorge doesn’t want to hear it as he is already in another relationship with a woman he loves. Dulce doesn’t care though and insists are recuperating his love, no matter what. Jorge can’t believe his ears.

Mauricio reminds Fabian that he is kidnapping Anifer, but Fabian reminds him that he and Anifer are actually family, unlike others who fake birth certificates. Rodrigo is confused about this whole thing, but Maria reminds Fabian to keep away from her daughter, especially after everything he did to her in Guatemala. Fabian laughs and warns them that he won’t say anything that could compromise him. However, he does invite Mauricio and Maria to go for an ice cream with him and Anifer. He then hangs up as Mauricio begs him not to hurt Anifer. Fabian then smiles and tells Anifer that he and Mauricio are best friends again. Anifer is happy to hear it and accepts Fabian’s invitation to go get ice cream, despite Maria’s warnings against it.

Mauricio deduces that Fabian found Anifer at school and Rodrigo urges them to hurry up, so they can catch Fabian for kidnapping Anifer. Maria and Mauricio reveal that Fabian is actually Anifer’s biological daughter, though she doesn’t know it yet, but Rodrigo still urges them to save Anifer with him. Maria doesn’t want to do something that will put Anifer’s life in danger, despite Mauricio’s protests. Just then, Renee arrives, and Mauricio tells her that Fabian took Anifer.

As Dulce sets the table, she tells Jorge that her relationship with Isauro was no picnic and Jorge realizes that this is the reason why she’s back, but he still doesn’t care. He demands she go talk to a therapist, if she feels so depressed about her mistakes, and leave him and his children alone because things have changed. Dulce doesn’t believe things have changed that much but Jorge reveals that he doesn’t work at Logatoys and is working on a cooperative company with Neron, Tono and Mauricio. Dulce is shocked, and laughs, but then wishes him good luck either way. Jorge reiterates that he wants her out of the house, but Dulce proposes they work on their marriage, now that she’s forgiven him, and even offers to let Baldo and Lili stay. Jorge is shocked that SHE forgave HIM, but he has no time to talk right now and goes.

At Neron’s, and over lunch, Neron gives Flor permission to do her education course but she reminds him that she didn’t ask for permission, simply told him that she’s going to the course. Neron wonders who is going to take care of Milady and Flor reminds him that they both will, like the equal parents they are, and it’s his turn because she has to go soon. As Neron cringes, Flor warns him not to bring her back all stinky and full of grease as usual.

Lili walks into the dining room and Dulce sees her and wonders why she’s home instead of in school. Lili reveals that she’s pregnant and Dulce wonders how this could happen and criticizes Yuriria for never teaching her children about safe sex. Lili asks that she not insult her mother and Dulce nods but laments that Lili is another one of those pregnant teenage girls. She walks away as Lili shakes her head.

As Fabian speeds through the streets, Anifer wonders where they are as they are nowhere near her house. Fabian asks her if she can play the silent game and Anifer agrees as Mauricio calls. Fabian tells him that Anifer is safe and sound, but he wants Maria to meet him at the park, alone, so he can trade Anifer for the laptop she took. Maria can’t believe he took his own daughter as a hostage, but Fabian doesn’t care and hangs up.

Mauricio urges Maria not to go alone but she reminds them of Fabian’s rules. Renee thinks Maria should go ahead, and they should follow behind, and Rodrigo agrees. They plan to follow Maria just to be sure she and Anifer are safe as soon as the tradeoff happens.

Veronica has a coffee with Adelina and asks her for advice on what the big wigs look for when choosing a supervisor for the new department. Adelina is confused, and Veronica explains that Tono wants to be the supervisor of the new department, but two other employees are vying for the same position and she wants to know how to give Tono the edge over them. Adelina suggests he act super religious and kind and humble and he’s a shoo-in. Veronica thanks her for the advice and they toast with the coffee.

In her suite, Kika fills Charytin in on what happened with Dulce and Jorge and her sister suggests she do a cleanse. Kika is now considering it but wonders what she will do about Dulce, who won’t be easy to get ride of, and how to confess to Jorge that his new job is because of her. Charytin suggests she tell him the truth before he finds out or it will be worse. Kika agrees but doesn’t think now is the best time. Either way, Charytin tells her to talk to Dulce, face to face, and tell her that Jorge is hers. Kika nods in agreement.

In the US, Pablo and Melina get ready to leave so they can go see his father. Pablo confesses that he’s super excited to see him after all these years as Melina nods.

Maria arrives at the park, but Fabian sees that she came with Mauricio and Renee and takes out his gun. He puts it in his front breast pocket and warns them to be calm and everything will be okay. Maria walks to Fabian and hands him the computer as he warns her that they better have not made any copies. She assures him they haven’t and hands him the computer bag, but Fabian grabs her hand, pulls her to him and puts the gun on her head. He warns Mauricio not to get close and then tells him that, as an insurance policy that they didn’t make any copies of the documents on the laptop, he will take Maria and Anifer and return them as soon as he’s confirmed what they said is true. He then demands Maria act like she’s in love with him and they go off.

A few seconds later, Anifer sees Maria and runs out of the car to give her a hug. Fabian pulls Maria close and asks Anifer to get in the car but Anifer sees Renee and Mauricio and runs to them. Fabian smiles but pushes Maria into the car and demands she be cool and no one will get hurt. They get in the car and drive away as Rodrigo arrives. He promises to catch Fabian, but Mauricio asks to go with him as Renee takes care of Anifer.

Kika rings the doorbell at Jorge’s and Dulce answers, shocked to see her husband’s mistress has the gall to show up at her lover’s house and demands to know what she wants. Kika steps inside and tells her that she came to make some things clear. Dulce sighs deeply.

As Fabian speeds off, Maria demands to know what he wants since she already gave him the laptop. Fabian throws the gun in her lap and reminds her that it now has her fingerprints, so no one will believe he kidnapped her, especially since it’s a toy gun. Maria calls him crazy as Rodrigo’s police car appears behind him and gives chase. Fabian curses his luck.

As Melina and Pablo wait, he asks her to go call him and she obliges before getting her phone and walking off for a bit. As Pablo waits alone, a man approaches and strikes up a conversation. The man notices that his accent is unusual and then demands to see his papers because he’s with ICE. Pablo tries to run but another man grabs him, and they drag him away as Pablo screams for Melina to help. Melina is hiding around the corner, crying as she hears Pablo’s screams, but doesn’t move an inch to help. She then hangs up the call she was on, implying she may have tipped ICE to Pablo’s whereabouts.

Kika has taken a seat on Jorge’s couch and chides Dulce for abandoning her family though Dulce doesn’t care because she’s still Jorge’s wife, as demonstrated by the wedding band on her finger. Kika also doesn’t care, because divorce exists, but Dulce reminds her that she and Jorge also have kids and he won’t leave them for her. Kika lists off her values and virtues but Dulce thinks she looks like a common streetwalker. Kika doesn’t think there is anything worse than a self-hating woman, but they can’t talk anymore as the kids have arrived from school. Samuel hugs Dulce and asks her why Kika is there. Dulce tells him that she came to insult her, but she doesn’t know why. Kika just wants to remind Dulce that she and Jorge are in love and that’s that. Valentina agrees but Samuel reminds her that their parents are married and will always be together. Kika decides to take her leave, for now, but warns Dulce that the fight isn’t over before leaving. Dulce then asks everyone to get ready for dinner and wash their hands.

Fabian continues to speed through the streets, trying to lose the police, but his luck seems to have run out. Maria begs Fabian to please slow down but Fabian is more interested in finding out why she liked him so much at the party all those years ago. Maria can’t explain it, but Fabian has a theory: she fell for him as soon as he told her his name was Mauricio Lopez-Garza. Maria tells him that it’s not true, but Fabian knows she regrets ever setting her eyes on him. Maria doesn’t regret anything, as Anifer was born of their relationship, but Fabian doesn’t believe her.

Mauricio urges Rodrigo to follow Fabian but notes that his car is way too slow to catch up. Rodrigo tells Mauricio that he has broken the law enough and insists he get out of the car, but Mauricio begs him to keep going or they will lose him. Rodrigo agrees and continues to drive.

Tono serves his children dinner as Esperanza brings some bread and looks on, happy to see how much her son has changed. She then asks about Ernesto’s doctor’s appointments and Tono explains that they are less frequent now, but they are going next week.

Renee takes Anifer to her house and they sit down on the couch. Renee explains that her mother went with Fabian to help him out with something, nothing more, but Anifer thinks she was acting strange. Renee suggests they play something, while they wait, but Anifer wants to know why Rodrigo and Mauricio followed them. She then asks if it’s true Mauricio and Fabian are friends again, but Renee tells her not to worry, as the adults will fix their problems. Anifer nods and tells her that she’s happy to be with her, either way, as it’s been a long time since they’ve played together. Renee gives her a hug and Anifer tells her that she loves her like if they were family. Renee tells her that they are, maybe more than they realize, and tells Anifer that she loves her, like an aunt, and Renee confesses that she loves her like a niece. Just then, Ariel arrives, and Renee offers to make them all lemonade. Ariel thanks her but prefers to make it himself, because he ahs a great recipe, and Renee nods.

Maria urges Fabian to give up and turn himself in, especially because he can still have a life after jail, but Fabian doubts it. Maria reminds him that she was able to get a second chance, but Fabian doesn’t care. He confesses that the only reason he brought her to Mexico was so she could take Anifer from Mauricio but that plan backfired and Mauricio won her over like he wins over everyone. Maria doesn’t want to hear anymore but Fabian refuses to stop and tells her that he has to confess all the hate he feels for the man who took everything from him.

As Fabian continues to speed through traffic, two police cars give chase and Rodrigo tells Mauricio that they can arrest Fabian while he slows down and asks Mauricio to get out of the car. Mauricio begs him to continue driving, or they will lose Fabian, as Fabian speeds in front of them. Rodrigo tries to follow in the parallel lane, but Fabian is going too fast and speeds through an intersection as a police car drives in front of him and they crash. The crash knocks both Fabian and Maria unconscious, and leaves them with giant, bleeding, forehead gashes, as Mauricio arrives and goes to see if he can help Maria...
