Papá a Toda Madre, Episode 85, 5/21/2018: When ‘NO’ Falls on Deaf Ears, Run, Georgie, Run!

[Previously: At Renée’s house, Ariel is again saying good-bye to Renée acknowledging that those who repeat their good-byes do so because they really don’t want to leave. He kisses her on the mouth by mistake (yeah, right!) and apologizes, but thinks it was a nice mistake. (If his aim is this bad all the way around, it is no wonder he is single.)  Renée blushes and tells him good-bye so he leaves. Renée appears ambivalent about where this is going…]

As they arrive at school, Anifer tells Mauricio that she wants to go see Fabián at the hospital, but Mauricio reminds her that she is not allowed to go in. When he reiterates that those are the rules, Anifer points out that Mauricio never follows the rules; Mauricio thinks that is a good point, but is steadfast that it just can’t be done.

((Scottie is summoned and…POOF!)
Mauricio and Anifer are at the hospital in front of the sign that indicates that children under 12 are prohibited from visiting. (Anifer feigns having forgotten how to read, but remembers a negotiating trick she picked up from Henry Kissinger)  Anifer insists that she wants to see Fabián and pleads with Mauricio to help her…so he caves. He goes to distract the nurse while Anifer sneaks off…

At Jorge’s house, the kids enter as Dulce is setting the table. Valentina goes to sit on the couch; and when Dulce asks her to help her so that they can also talk woman-to-woman, Valentina agrees. Dulce gives Valentina a guilt-trip speech by telling her that it hurts her so much that Valentina wants to go live with her father. (But it miraculously did not hurt when Dulce went to live with a scumbag. Funny how that works.) After Valentina points out that she is at an age where she can make many of her own decisions, Dulce confides that she wants to win Jorge back because she knows that deep down he still loves her. (She knows this for sure because she saw it in the snail shells; they do not lie.) Valentina doubts that very much and adds that she wants to go with her father because she knows he would never abandon them the way she did. Dulce sings her old song that she has asked for forgiveness a thousand times, but Valentina doesn’t relent and responds that she is sure her father is a good father and has done many good things for her. Dulce is curious as to what good things, so Val shares that Jorge kept her from going to jail when she ran over his godfather. Dulce downplays what Jorge did, but Valentina reminds her that she knew about the incident and did nothing to help her…if it weren’t for her father she would be in a youth facility. Dulce insists that Valentina is being too dramatic…she didn’t go to jail, so she should just forget the incident. (Because this incident does not reinforce Dulce's position that asking forgiveness is the same as getting forgiveness.) After Dulce asks about Don Aurelio, Valentina tells her that he is fine, but was very close to dying. Dulce then plans to call on Don Aurelio and thank him for helping since everything turned out well. Valentina wants her to leave things alone, but Dulce insists. (As her conniving, evil mind sees a glimmer of an opportunity to get her way.)
At the hospital, Mauricio and Anifer walk quietly into Fabián’s room. Anifer wonders if Fabián can hear them. Mauricio thinks so because his ears look perfectly well. (You shoulda been a surgeon, Mau.) Anifer starts talking to Fabián and tells him she hopes he gets better soon. After Mauricio tells her that they should leave now, he is quite astonished to hear Anifer tell Fabián, “I know that you are my biological father and though you never took care of me, I already forgave you.” (Oh how sweet, the way the Native Americans asked the buffalo for forgivness as they roasted his hindquarters over a bonfire.)

As Mauricio goes to Anifer, Renée rushes in and asks what they are doing there. Minutes later, Mauricio walks into the lobby and distracts the nurse again as Renée and Anifer sneak in and sit down. Afterwards, Renée scolds Mauricio for allowing Anifer to go in when he knew very well that he shouldn’t have. Mauricio accepts that what he did wasn’t the best thing, but he had a good reason. After Mauricio asks Anifer to let him talk to Renée alone, he whispers to Renée that Anifer already knows that Fabián is her biological father. Renée worries for Mauricio, but still thinks he shouldn’t have brought Anifer. Mauricio then explains that they decided to tell Anifer since Renée told them that Fabián was in critical condition; they didn’t know how things would turn out. Renée understands and shares that the doctor just told her that Fabián is more stable now and will be out of intensive care, but they still need to run tests on his spinal column. When Mauricio goes to Anifer so they can leave, Renée tells Anifer not to worry about Fabián; she will be there to watch him and will let them know of any new developments. (One ring, eyes open, two rings he's dead.)
At Jorge’s house, Dulce is on the phone with Doña Irene, Jorge’s godmother. When she brings up the accident and how Don Aurelio was near death, Doña Irene says something that leaves Dulce bewildered.
At the hospital, the doctor tells Renée that since Fabián is in another room she can stay longer, but that Fabián shouldn’t get upset. When he adds that Fabián asked for her, Renée is surprised. As she enters the room, Fabián tells her that he figured she would come see him. Renée informs him that she has been there for a while and hopes he gets better. She doesn’t want to pressure him, but she needs to know where Noel is. When Fabián responds that Noel left his home, Renée asks when Fabián saw him last; so Fabián responds that it was a few days before she went to the house with Mauricio and the cop. When Renée questions why he would hire someone to impersonate Noel, Fabián replies that he didn’t want to be accused of kidnapping. Fabián adds that he has no reason to lie anymore; he doesn’t even know if he will recover. At that, Fabián asks Renée to call his attorney and Renée wonders why. (Does he want to file charges against Maria for causing his wreck?)
At Restrepo Systems, Toño and Vero go see his new office. He brags that everything she sees and everything beyond the reaches of wi-fi is his. Vero thinks he’s crazy, but he is only crazy about her…and they kiss. Vero thinks they need to be careful because the new director for the department might catch them. They laugh after Toño exclaims, “That’s me!” As they continue to kiss, Toño wonders how he should decorate and Vero asks if he has his team ready. When Toño mentions tha he will have six people in his team, Vero wonders why so many. Toño isn’t sure; Bustamante just told him that was the standard for senior executives. Vero thinks that is probably the standard for MALE senior executives, since she only had Adelina, though she was shared; and she had him as an assitant, but no more. (One helper, one secretary, one to keep fresh sheets on his floor, and THREE to clean up the mess Tono makes of everything.) When Toño jokes that they may even give him a chauffeur, Vero thinks it would be perfect though she would be seething with jealousy. Toño then shares that this will be difficult for him since he had already been used to being at home, taking the kids to school and spending time with the children; he will miss them. Vero understands; she felt guilty before and now she feels even worse. As they console each other with a hug, Bustamante walks down the hall and goes to the office door. He grabs the handle to open the door, but then changes his mind and starts to walk away only to stop again… (As it sounds like Tono is watching porn on his computer.........)
At the hospital, Renée tells Fabián that his inflammation is severe. It’s easier said than done, but he just needs to wait it out. Just then, Mr. García, Fabián’s attorney arrives. Fabián explains that he asked him to come because he wants him to do everything possible to make sure that the house at the cul-de-sac that is currently under his father’s name be transferred to its rightful owner, Renée Sanchez Moreno. Renée is flabbergasted.
In Toño’s office, Vero and Toño are still in a lip lock and slide down for a mambo jambo as Bustamante heads back to the office. As Bustamante starts to open the door, Vero and Toño quickly stand and pretend to be looking at the blinds, but lo and behold, a tech guy enters with a computer. Meanwhile, Bustamante enters Vero’s office and asks Adelina for Toño; so she tells him he’s at his new office. Back at Toño’s office, the tech guy leaves; so Vero and Toño slither back down to the floor to continue their tryst, but Bustamante knocks and enters as they quickly stand again. After they all greet each other, Vero tells Bustamante that she just came by to wish Toño good luck. When Vero starts to leave, Bustamante tells her she doesn’t have to leave since he just came for a moment. He then asks Toño if he has set up his team because they need to close out the paperwork. After Toño promises to have it by the next day, Bustamante leaves. Once alone, Toño sits Vero on his lap and tells her he is going to give María the job, but he needs to talk to her to tell her about their secret office situation. (What Tono does not have upstairs he must make up for on the floor.)
At the hospital, García will do as Fabián orders and leaves. Once alone, Renée comments that she doesn’t know what to make of this. Fabián acknowledges that she has no reason to think well of him, but this is not just a gesture to do the right thing; it is also a way to ask for her forgiveness. Renée isn’t sure what she should forgive him for (there is a cornucopia of candidates, must she pick just one?), but Fabián thinks she knows very well…he is not justifying himself, but he always thought he was an only child; and all of a sudden, he has a sister. If she thinks things through, he could never harm his father; Noel left because he wanted to. At that, Renée confesses that she entered his home again and found some notes Noel wrote about him. It seems that his childhood was not an easy one; though Fabián prefers not to remember it. (Renee could maybe help by clobbering him with the heaviest thing she could lay her hands on, then.)
At Toño’s house, Esperanza reminds the kids to eat their vegetables. Neto asks if their father won’t be eating with them anymore; so Esperanza responds that he will when he can…it depends on his job. Fidelito then asks for his dessert which Esperanza refuses and tells him he will eat that last. Tania explains that, when they didn’t eat together, her father would give Fidelito his dessert first so he wouldn’t cry. Esperanza thinks that is very bad and that is why the kids are spoiled. After Neto and Fidelito start arguing, Tania tells her grandma that she will get used to it—Neto and Fidelito fight and then they play together as if nothing happened. Esperanza informs them that she doesn’t have the patience; if they don’t eat everything, there won’t even be five minutes of cartoons. As the children start eating everything, Esperanza scolds Fidelito and tells him to hurry. (Her parenting skills appear to have materialized too late to apply to Toño.)
At Jorge’s house, all the family is at the table having dinner when Dulce mentions her woman-to-woman talk with Valentina. When she adds that they were remembering the incident where Valentina ran over Jorge’s godfather, Jorge remarks that it really wasn’t that serious. He was in the hospital, but he recovered. Sammy then gives Baldo and Lili his rendition of what happened and tells them that they almost put Valentina in jail, but Jorge tells then it was not how Sammy explained; either way, the case is closed, so end of communication. Dulce remembers how she used to bump into Doña Irene at the supermarket and they would talk for hours, but Lili would rather hear more about the accident. When Sammy tries to give his version of what happened, Valentina tells him to put a cork in it; it’s in the past. Baldo, however, is curious to know if the cops came to arrest her; and Dulce also wonders if any charges were filed since she doesn’t think Jorge’s godfather would just let it go. Jorge insists that they drop the conversation. It was a difficult time for Valentina and they don’t have to be reminding her about it, but Sammy won’t let it go and tells Baldo and Lili that there is a girl at the table who could be a murderer. After Jorge slams his fist on the table and tells Sammy to stop, Valentina gets her plate and leaves. Dulce looks at Jorge then at Sammy and cracks a smile…

At the hospital, Fabián signs over the house to Renée who can’t believe this is happening and doesn’t know what to say. After the attorney leaves, Renée tells Fabián that this means a lot to her and thanks him. She hesitates and thinks before giving him a kiss good-bye, after which Fabián tells her he needs to ask a favor of her. (Renée probably wonders if that will be the payback for getting the house.) (She is his Sister, so that's out, right, right?)
At Mau’s house, the little family is at the table as Anifer tells María that Fabián looked like he was sleeping, but she thinks he did hear them. After Mau agrees, Anifer adds that she thinks Fabián will recover quickly. María not so convincungly tells Anifer that she hopes so and tries to change the subject, but Anifer persists by saying that she would have liked to see him awake. María then asks Mau what the possibility is to manufacture the Magic Bracelet at Logatoys. Mau doubts the possibility because Fabián might recover soon and will surely not become generous from one day to the next ( you wanna bet?). While Anifer goes for something she forgot, María tells Mau that she hopes Anifer will stop talking so much about Fabián; it worries her. Mau worries too. Meanwhile, Anifer is in her room and gets her “Fabián” doll and puts it on her bed. After she places the “Mauricio” doll on María’s bed, she gets the “Anifer” doll and starts a conversation, “Hi, Fabián! Are you feeling better? You’re going to recover very quickly; and I’m going to take care of you.” She gets the Mauricio doll and says, “What’s up, Fab! Aren’t you going to wake up? Too bad! Let’s go little one.” Anifer doll says, “Ok, papa. Just one thing before we leave…Fabián, I’m going to give you a kiss to see if you’ll wake up.” Anifer walks to her bed and gives her real but imaginary Fabián a kiss; and he wakes up with a smile.

After Anifer then tells imaginary Mau that Fabián opened his eyes, Mau tells her that her kisses heal; they are like those of a storybook prince. After she goes to give Mau a kiss, imagined Fabián tells her that if it wasn’t for her, he would have stayed asleep for years and years. Anifer then remarks, “It’s that you’re my biological father and he is my gardener father…and I love him more because you aren’t always very nice, to be honest. Imagined Fabián responds, “Yes, you are right, but I’m going to behave better starting today. I know I never took care of you, but if your gardener father lets me, I want to be part of your life.” After Anifer asks the Mauricio doll what he thinks, the Mauricio doll responds, “Ok, but here, I am the papá a toda madre, ok?” After Anifer agrees, Mau comes in to remind her that her food is getting cold; so Anifer goes back to the table with him.
At Jorge’s house, Dulce is dolling herself up and sits provacatively on the bed as Jorge comes out from his shower with just a towel wrapped around him. After Jorge tells her he didn’t know she was in his bedroom and asks her to leave, Dulce wonders what is wrong; they’ve seen each other several times as God sent them to the world…it won’t be the first or last time. She invites him to accompany her on the bed, but Jorge’s intention is to get dressed and, again, asks her to get out. Dulce insists that it is her bedroom too…he should just get dressed. Though Jorge is adamant that she should leave so he can get dressed…alone, Dulce tells him she will just turn around…and she won’t be there…and giggles…

Jorge can’t believe her; so he goes to get his clothes and goes back into the bathroom as Dulce laughs.
Outside, Esperanze is watching the kids play and tells them to be careful. After they don’t listen, she gets aggravated and tells them to do whatever they want as long as they don’t hurt themselves. Just then Nerón comes to sit with her and tells her how nice it must be that she can spend time with her grandchildren. Esperanza agrees and comments that the nice thing about having grandchildren is that you can spoil them. In her case, however, it’s not to her advantage because she has to take care of them. Nerón agrees that the kids seem to be quite a handful, but is looking forward to spending time with Milady since he didn’t spend much time with his sons. Esperanza doesn’t think he will have much trouble since he already has experience raising chldren, but Nerón disagrees since, back then, fathers would only provide for the home. When he asks if her husband was like that, Esperanza nods; so Nerón continues that now fathers even change diapers. Esperanza thinks that is good for him and his wife; that is how things should have always been. The bad thing is that people think that once kids grow up, a parent’s job is finished, but she has already confirmed that it’s not the way. Nerón wonders why she is saying that…by now she should be finished and enjoying herself; so Esperanza responds that she thought the same thing, but in reality, she sees no end to it…then they don’t even ask them if they want to take care of the grandchildren…like they say in her town, “Once they see the donkey, they want to go on a trip!” Nerón laughs, but thinks that it is still good because he knows of some that get old and become like ghosts in their own homes. A man retires and it seems there is no place for him; they don’t even see him. Esperanza then adds that is if they live with their children because, if not, then they become a forgotten stump. If one doesn’t have grandchildren, it would be as if they would be out of circulation….and that is terrible. Just then, Fidelito, who is on the ground with the bike over him, yells to Esperanza that they pushed him. The kids start yelling at each other, so Esperanza yells even louder that she told them to behave! As she orders Fidelito to go over to her, Nerón looks on quite disconcerted.
At Mau’s house, Mau is reviewing prices for materials when Renée arrives. Mau comments, “How beautiful…the surprise.” He offers her something to drink, but Renée tells him it is just a courtesy visit. She starts by telling him that what she is about to say will sound strange, but he needs to know…Fabián wants to see him; he needs to talk to him! Mau assumes that he is awake (no, duh!); so Renée explains that Fabián is responding well to medication and the doctor says he is recovering quickly. Although he still can’t move, he is still progressing. Mau is glad of course, but wonders if Fabián has asked her to come look for him point blank. When he asks Renée what it is that Fabián wants to tell him, Renée responds that she doesn’t know, but if it helps him any, she can say that Fabián is not the same person; he seems to have changed after the accident. Mau is in disbelief so Renée shares that Fabián gave her the house; he even gave her a signed document. When she reiterates that Fabián seems to be a different person, she adds that she thinks he may want to make peace with Mau. Mau rolls his eyes and thinks that Fabián might want to look good, but they can’t forget what he did to María; he sent her to prison and has to pay for that. Renée doesn’t want to justify what Fabián did, but she doesn’t think Mau should miss this opportunity. They were friends for a long time and it could do them some good to talk. Mau doesn’t look convinced, but says it might be good. Renée then gets up and attempts to make excuses for having to leave, but doesn’t make much sense; so she thanks Mau and leaves. (Mau makes a mental note to Google 'Near Death Experience'.)
At Jorge’s house, Jorge is in the bathroom dressing when Dulce walks in and closes the door behind her. Jorge tells her to stop playing games, but Dulce feels like taking a shower and wonders if Jorge wants to join her…he used to love it. When she puts her arms around him, Jorge removes them, but Dulce persists and tells him to just go with the flow; they are still husband and wife. Jorge shakes his head and pushes her away telling her that she is forgetting that he is in a relationship with Kika; he wants to be faithful to Kika. Dulce reminds him that when he was going out with Yuriria, he cheated on Yuriria with her (Dulce); and once they married, he cheated on her with Yuriria. Jorge tells her that isn’t true; and she knows it isn’t true. Either way, this is between him and Kika; it has nothing to do with Dulce. Dulce then wonders if he doesn’t feel odd going out with his boss’s ex-girlfriend. She tries to convince him that they can be there together now, but Jorge shakes his head and tells her he is hoping that they sign the divorce papers. Jorge tries to leave, but Dulce pushes him back and reminds him that in the eyes of the church, there is no divorce…it’s till death do they part. Jorge forges forward and tells her that he is going to talk to Father Francisco so he can sign the annulment papers. He manages to get out which leaves Dulce quite frustrated and upset.
At Mau's house, María can’t believe Fabián wants to talk to him. Mau has been mulling it over and is also taken aback. María doesn’t know what Fabián could possibly want to tell Mau, but she knows for sure that she is not going to let his health issues deter her; she will do whatever it takes to hold Fabián accountable for what he did to her. Mau totally agrees with María; she has to report Fabián even though something horrible happened to him…but they should wait to know how well Fabián recovers. (Huh? Since Cows Fly.) They shouldn’t be like Fabián. (I give up.  Maybe take him some flowers while you are at it.) Mau is not saying that they shouldn’t report him; they should just wait to see what is going to happen to him. María insists that they need to report Fabián; he threatened them…even though it was with a toy gun, she didn’t know that. Fabián wouldn’t let her get out of the car despite her pleas. Mau understands and hopes that Fabián isn’t asking him to go so that he can set him up. María doubts it since Fabián has been in the hospital for several days. Mau thinks they should forget about the deal with Logatoys because Fabián will find out that they will be reporting him; so María will ask for estimates from other companies. Mau then assures María that she has his full support for whatever charges she wants to file on Fabián; she is not alone in this. (Not that you matter, it is Law Enforcement who can actually DO something.) After María thanks him, Mau wonders how they will explain to Anifer that they will be reporting Fabián and that he may end up in jail. María doesn’t even want to think about that. (Then don't; that's not your strong suit.)
At the hospital, Fabián tells the doctor he can’t feel his right arm and has much trouble moving the fingers on his left hand. The doctor explains that the nervous system is working and starting to recover. When Fabián asks about his legs, the doctor tells him that it will take several days for the swelling in his brain to go down. He is recovering and as long as there is progress, there is a possibilty that he will be able to move more. What the doctor can’t do is give him a definite prognosis. When Fabián tells the doctor to stop BSing and wants the truth, the doctor remains silent. (Wheels, Fab, think wheels.  That little dog where someone fashioned wheels for his back legs is downright cute.)
At Veronica’s house, Esperanza is just sitting down with a cup a coffee and a book to read when Toño and Vero arrive laughing it up and talking loudly. Esperanza motions that they should be quiet as Vero says she wants to go see the kids. Esperanza tells them NO! and orders them to sit down because she had a lot of trouble getting them to sleep. She thinks that since Vero and Toño arrive so late, they don’t care, but Toño justifies that they had a lot of work (Yeah right! Shining the wax on the office floor!) and they had to stay late in the office. Esperanza chides them for smelling like cheap soap. Toño and Vero laugh because they don’t fool Esperanza who knows exactly what they were up to…(Are these two both bipolar?  PSA #472....)

When Toño tells her that they needed to celebrate his new position, Esperanza hopes they continue to be as in love until they are old as she is, but they need to be careful about becoming a nuisance to each other because that is more dangerous than they think. After Esperanza leaves, Vero admits that she feels bad because they were out having their fun while his mother stayed up until they arrived. Toño doesn’t think Vero should worry because though his mother is tired, she can withstand a lot. Toño then brings up working on the room for his mother so that they can hire someone to take care of the children…that way things will lighten up for his mother. After Vero agrees, Toño wants to continue their “fun” and so does Vero.  (Is the planned room for Mom or for three more kids?)
The Next Day—
At Kika’s suite, Charitín lays on the bed while Kika is on the phone telling someone that they should continue paying Jorge his salary, but he should never know that she is his boss. After she hangs up, she tells Charitín that they don’t know what other assignments to give to Jorge because the ones who actually do everything for her are her company lawyers. She is very worried that Jorge will find out that the ones who hired him work for her company. When she adds that Jorge wil have a fit if he finds out, Charitín thinks she should pray to Babalú, Yemayá and Chango so he won’t find out. Kika only hopes that the Cooperative takes off as it should. She thinks a moment and considers that it’s time to do more for that Cooperative. Charitín has no clue as to what she is talking about, but begs to be given something to do because she is already bored of shopping, sightseeing and whatever. When Kika thinks that she wants a job at her company, Chari frowns in disgust and tells her she just wants something to do…she can deliver documents, make phone calls, something to do with public relations. Kika’s wheels start to spin…

At Jorge’s house, Jorge is working on his laptop as Lili just sits there; so he asks her what is wrong. Her siblings are at school, he has been working for a while, but she is there doing nothing. Lili responds that when her baby is born she will have enough to do; meanwhile she is going over to Flor’s house because, with his wife there, she feels very uncomfortable. Jorge, however, thinks she wants to go see Pablo, so Lili clarifies that Pablo is working right now…he found a job at an office as a messenger. After she walks out, Dulce enters from the kitchen saying that Jorge should try to understand Lili; she is so young and already ruined her life. He should let her do whatever she wants since she already took the wrong step anyway. Jorge is worried because he doesn’t want Lili to stop her studies. He wonders how she will make a living without an education. Dulce doesn’t know what to tell him. If it weren’t a sin, Lili should have had an abortion…but she and that better-than-nothing will have to deal with it. When Jorge asks her not to speak of them in such a way. Dulce chides him…he has probably already thought the same thing. As she continues her insults, Jorge gets up and can’t believe he had put up with her all these years. He doesn’t recognize himself and doesn’t understand…it’s like he has nothing to do with her. As he walks out, Dulce goes after him and asks him to help her get a job at the company where he works, but he continues out the door. After he’s gone, Dulce walks back to the table and notices some documents on the table. The logo intrigues her…Oh Boy! Oh Noes!!!

RVG Chick: Dulce is hell-bent on keeping Jorge in her grasp!

She sure is, Steve! Her unrelenting attitude just proves that she doesn’t give a hoot about anyone other than herself...and maybe not even herself. I would have liked to know how Dulce was pre-Blanca Nieves. Was Jorge really that blind not to see what a witch (with a B) she is?? Love is blind would not apply because he was not in love with her.

Fantastic title Rgv Chick!

Your recap was infinitely more interesting than the episode itself. Smart, savvy, clever and great fun.

"If his aim is this bad all the way around, it is no wonder he is single", "Vero and Toño are still in a lip lock and slide down for a mambo jambo" and "What Tono does not have upstairs he must make up for on the floor" were a pared down list of many favorites.

"...it hurts her so much that Valentina wants to go live with her father. (But it miraculously did not hurt when Dulce went to live with a scumbag. Funny how that works" captured Dulce perfectly. No heart, no soul, no conscience. If things hadn't gone awry, she would be scurrying around the US like the little rat she is, trying to find another hole to hide out in with her criminal, perverted accompice.

Jorge needs to evict Dulce and do so immediately. Steve, she isn't taking no for an answer and although Jorge is completely turned off, she is relentless. She will trip him up or create another lie to get her way. She will stop at nothing.

Esperanza is clearly unhappy and Tono and Vero are too wrapped up in their rekindled romantic haze to notice. Espe wants to ber a doting grandmother, not a live in babysitter.

I don't belive Fabian has changed one iota. What he did to Maria (and to Mau of course) is unforgiveable.

Renee and Mau are firmly entrenched in the friend zone and there is no hot romance to be found anywhere (I'm purposely discounting Vero and Tono)...

A bland episode but an excellent recap.

Thank you!

Diana

Thank YOU, Diana! Ok, OT, You know when you write on your phone an Emoji will pop up for a word. Well when I write ‘Diana’, an emoji of a Bull’s Eye popped up! What the heck does that have to do with Diana??? Could it be that she’s always right on target? :-)

Anywho, thanks for your kind and generous review. This was definitely a bland episode with more PSAs and lots of hogwash.

Jorge does need to get Dulce out of there. But how? Maybe the old way of removing a sore tooth—put a string/rope around it, tie the string to the doorknob and slam the door shut...booiiiiiinng!

Thank you RGV Chick! Loved the screenshots too and the title is just perfect with the "Run Georgie Run!" Just wanted to put in a word before I got too busy for the week.

Dulce's presence is really upsetting. She is only there because it's free room and board to her. Jorge should be charging her rent because she does nothing. I keep hoping her scumbag boyfriend will rat her out from prison.

I was surprised that Fabian signed over the house to Renee. At least he has done one good deed.

As for Vero and Tono, I can't understand why anyone would take such risks at the office. Even if the office knew they were a married couple, their company isn't paying them to make whooppee at the office. When at the office you work! When on your own time, then you whooppee. They will probably be caught pretty soon and fired. They are cutting it way too close.

I knew Esperanza does not want to watch kids! She is feeling quite trapped. She should be enjoying her retirement, not spending it watching kids.

I'm going to be really busy the rest of the week because I'm busy with a documentary that I'm going to be interviewed on a panel discussion with Leah Remini and Mike Rinder for her series on the A&E Channel.

Rgv Chickie, thank you for this great recap, it was a lot more fun to read than the episode was to watch.
It was certainly not the most important part of your recap but "Anifer wonders if Fabián can hear them. Mauricio thinks so because his ears look perfectly well. (You shoulda been a surgeon, Mau.)" cracked me up. I had to check, so back to the DVR! He really did say that!

:-)

I like both Vero and Toño, but I wish they would stop fooling around in the office. Otherwise it's just a matter of time until they are discovered. Of course, I think it has always been just a matter of time, though it has led to some very funny moments, like the dinner party where Vero discovered her "husband" Mau was so muscular, and the trysts under the desk with Vero winding up with Toño's tie around her head, (which kinda reminded me of hippy Laura).

But it might not be pretty when they get caught. We'll see what the TN gods have planned for them, maybe it won't be so bad.

I'm looking forward to this TN's wrapping up. I'm tired of Renée with Mau/Ariel, Mau with Renée/Maria. Enough already! Pair up, let the rose petals fall, and let's have a few weddings that will make Meghan say "Oh, wow! Where did she get that gorgeous dress?"

Thanks bunches RGV Chik. A much better recap than this boring episode. Anifer was cute scurrying along on her knees to go see Fabian. I do not see Anifer's preoccupation with Fabian. Most kids could care less, it is the one who cares for therm who they love.

I am waiting to see Tono and Vero get caught and fired.

Cynthia, NO ONE WORKS in TNs. They may make a passing swipe at it occasionally, but nobody actually does anything productive. Except the Narcos, they are pretty serious about their vocation, and are very successful. Everybody else, they don't work when they work, then those two hour siestas, no wonder they get nothing done down there.

I wonder if Fabian is sincere, or still playing his evil game. He did relinquish Renee's house, but I think he is lying about Noel, because Noel looked to be being kept against his will and fed debilitating pills.

And these idiots fussing over filing charges, Jeezo. Have the popo not already filed their own charges? You know? Hostage taking, hi? Speed car chase in town? Crashing into a popo car? There should be a jail cell and pair of handcuffs waiting for him as soon as he is well enough to be moooved. I will play along with these idiots for a while, but when Donald Duck can fly, I draw the line.

Always enjoy your sassy recaps Rgv Chick. I'm not much into farm work (takes waaaay too much energy), but I'd love having you as a next door neighbor elsewhere because your take on things is just so funny and outrageous. Hoping there's someone like you in the room next door when I end up in the nursing home!-- 'Cause I want to exit laughing.

Favorite line was:

(What Tono does not have upstairs he must make up for on the floor.)

There's something to be said for that. When a marriage stops being fun, well...it just becomes a series of endless chores raising and providing for children. Glad Toño has some romantic skills that make up for his scattershot brain. Ain't no perfect husbands...or wives.

I know that everybody is annoyed by the warp speed at which people forgive in these telenovelas but honestly I wish it could be that way in real life sometimes. People clutch and hold on to resentments and outrage for decades and it ruins their lives and doesn't solve anything.

I like the definition of Forgiveness as "extending one's moments of peace.".

Still, it should not exclude justice. In the real world, yes, Fabian should be charged for his crimes and I don't understand the police inaction on this one. But hey, it's just a story and you made it a lot more fun by your witty recap.

Now Cynthia...WOW WOW WOW...sound like you're going to be on a panel looking at how cult religions (like Scientology since Leah Remimi is involved) ensnare people. You're playing in the Big Leagues lady. Wishing you luck.

Thank you for your recap, RgvChick and Ghost! I'm running out the door early and will not have time to watch this episode.

"(What Tono does not have upstairs he must make up for on the floor.)" Yes, he must be really hot in the sack ..... or on the floor. Gah! Those two are going to get caught.

So, last night's biggest "PSA" was really a non-PSA: ignore the rules and do what YOU want. Mau caving to Ani and sneaking her into the hospital is just wrong. This sends a very. bad. message. I'm done with that idiot.

We can pretty much count on Dulce drugging Jorge so he'll think they had sex. #telenovelatrope

Cynthia - I watched the entire first season of Leah's TV documentary series and read her book "Troublemaker". I've also read "Beyond Belief" by Jenna Miscavige Hill. OMG They were lucky to get out alive.

After Dulce saw the logo on some paperwork Jorge left behind, I am sure she will figure out that Kika has been secretly employing Jorge. And in her twisted mind, Jorge is not with her because he is with Kika, not because he does not want to be with HER. So she will attempt to sabotage that I'm sure.
I am sure she will dig that out and expose Kika's secret. And rather than Jorge seeing it as a sweet, thankless act of Luuuurve, we can count on his going ballistic. How frigging boring.

I might remind these writers that there are AMERICAN men who respect and love women, who see the beauty in the differences in the genders, and whose whole life is not driven by some archaic male feelings of inadequacies or chauvinistic superiority. There are actually men who are smart, talented, witty, competent, well adjusted and attractive. (And who like women.) :-)

RGVChick, as Diana already said your recap was so much better than the episode itself. As a matter of fact it was outstanding.
I fell asleep after the first ten minutes. Thank you for not making me have to watch the recording.

Diana, Dulce needs to be booted out or Jorge needs to move out with the kids like now, not tomorrow, not “some time”, not when he can find the perfect place . . . Geez, why does everything take soooooo loooong . . . Besides him getting an idea out of his mouth? Drives me nuts. : )

Cynthia, yes! Esperanza needs to spring herself from being the nanny. She did that already with her own kids and does not need to be trapped by feeling obligated to help her adult children. She clearly wants out and should fire herself.

doris, every time someone caves to Anifer is plain annoying,

JudyB, the lack of law enforcement involvement is enough to make my head spin in disbelief.

Kirby, Andy, how many episodes until Toño and Verónica are caught? Hope it is soon.

Diana, ITA that Fabián has not changed at all. I think he was born that way. He is just biding his time to blind side them with something else . . . Once again.

Cynthia, your panel discussion interview sounds like a great opportunity. I like Remini’s show. You will have to let us know when the panel discussion airs.

Thank you, Rgv Chick and Ghost.

"Renée appears ambivalent about where this is going"
Ambivalent is her middle name. About Lupe, about Mau, about Maryland, about Ariel, now about Fabian.

"so Val shares that Jorge kept her from going to jail when she ran over his godfather"
Val - you have a right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you.
Dulce is a snake and she will bite everyone around her - Sam, Val, Lili, Baldo and Jorge. Jorge should not spend a minute in the same house with her. He was able to get an apartment to hide Lili and Baldo quickly, why not now?

Lucio: Fabian is NOT sincere. If he could, he would have Mauricio sent to prison & tortured like a caged animal.

Chickie, thank you so much for another riproaring recap. In the past, some clever someone coined the term "recrap" when the telenovela turned crappy.

How are the chickens, and have you seen the cougar? Be careful!

As to the target emoji for Diana,my guess is that In Greek mythology Diana is the Huntress, a superb archer....Thus The target. I

Yes, relentless is the word that came to mind about Dulce. Cornering Jorge in the bathroom..yikes. Pathetic . You t dnt want him and somebody else did. Leave now

Cynthia, good luck on the show. I have always thought that Leah Remini was a really funny person. Tell us all about it, and let us know when the show airs. Hope that you are feeling much better.

As for Esperanza babysitting, well...hub and I have been very babysitting for our first granddaughter and three years later for her sister since the first was seven months old and our younger daughter returned to her teaching job an hour away. The girls are now both in elementary school, so we get to their house at 6.15 every day to get them up, fed, and off to school. Then, we get them off the bus at 3 .45, give them snacks, help with homework, and coax them to practice piano and flute before their mother gets home around 4!30-5.00.. We do it because we love them and want to help, especially now that our daughter is divorced. Luckily, we have a happy marriage and are supportive and care for each other so that we are able to help those around us who need some support. Life is short. Family is important. Love expands.

Good Morning. Patiohhh!! And THANK YOU, Steve, Diana, Cynthia, Andy, Kirby, JudyB, Doris, Jarifa and Lucio! Let's see, did I forget anyone? :-) If it weren't for this patio, I think I would have dropped this TN like a hot potato sometime back, but you all keep me coming back. Love to read your comments!

Cynthia, "Dulce's presence is really upsetting." Most definitely.I get the same feeling with her that I used to get with Tona on LDVDEC...repulsive and hateful. And you are right about Esperanza, she certainly does not want to take care of kids. How selfish of Tono and Vero to think that she is better off there. Vero felt more guilty about Espe staying up until they got home than she did about Espe having to take care of the kids ALL day long.

Andy, Tono's and Vero's extracurricular activities at the office will bring quite a penalty once they are caught. They'll be jobless, but they'll have plenty of time for their trysts. And, "I'm looking forward to this TN's wrapping up. I'm tired of Renée with Mau/Ariel, Mau with Renée/Maria. Enough already!" DITTOOO!!!

Kirby, "I wonder if Fabian is sincere, or still playing his evil game. He did relinquish Renee's house, but I think he is lying about Noel...." I could care less if Fabian is sincere. He thinks he is dying and wants redemption. So he gave the house to Renee; next thing you know he'll give Logatoys back to Mau, turn himself in for false accusation and a slew of other stuff, and grant Anifer's wish of being in her life and get the Father of the Year Award. BLECH!! and, "I do not see Anifer's preoccupation with Fabian. " I don't either! Does she even know what she is forgiving him for?? Puulease!

JudyB, now that would be so fun to have us all in the same nursing home! We could write a TN! Ghost would be a requirement since most of the snark is thanks to my friendly Ghost :-)

Doris, "So, last night's biggest "PSA" was really a non-PSA: ignore the rules and do what YOU want. Mau caving to Ani and sneaking her into the hospital is just wrong. This sends a very. bad. message. I'm done with that idiot." High Five! I'm done with many of these idiots. What interests me most right now is what Kika is scheming to help out the Cooperative and, in turn, help out Georgie Boy.

Kirby, your prediction about Dulce exposing Kika's secret is probably right...hateful, hateful, hateful!

Jarifa, "Dulce needs to be booted out or Jorge needs to move out with the kids like now, not tomorrow, not “some time”, not when he can find the perfect place . . . Geez, why does everything take soooooo loooong . . . Besides him getting an idea out of his mouth? Drives me nuts" Yup! Drives me nuts too! And Lucio brought up a good point, "He was able to get an apartment to hide Lili and Baldo quickly, why not now?"

Cynthia, I echo JudyB, "WOW, WOW, WOW!" How interesting and exciting that will be. Please do let us know when that documentary will be airing. I'd love to watch it.

Kirby, thanks for gracing us with yet another wonderful pic! It kinda reminds me of that pose the Karate Kid used right before he smacked his opponent :-)

Susy, Iw as writing when you posted. You're very welcome. I like the term "recrap!" We'll throw in some crudsicles for dessert :-) I do have one hopeo though...please let this thing be over soon!

My chickens are doing okay, thanks for asking. The cougar, or whatever is out there, was back last night, but gone with a rooster before I could get out there to scare it off.

Very interesting about the Diana the Huntress. I learn something new today, thanks!

You and your hub must be gems. "we have a happy marriage and are supportive and care for each other so that we are able to help those around us who need some support. Life is short. Family is important. Love expands." May you always be blessed. God is surely smiling down on both of you.

Rgv Chick...I love what Susanlynn said too. If I could put it on my morning coffee cup I would! LIFE IS SHORT. FAMILY IS IMPORTANT. LOVE EXPANDS.

May we all fulfill that in some way and somehow. There are many different kinds of family but hopefully we will all be able to help when our loved ones need us. And vice versa!

And Kirby, I too love the new avatar. So glad you taught me how to expand the picture so I could really see it. Amazing.

Now Rgv Chick, I need more information about this Ghost. But if he/she is an important part of our nursing home Sassy Corridor, definitely included then!

OT...I think that I must tell you all that dropping in here to read the recap and comments is my form of escape . I originally found Jane's blog on Pratie Place when my dad died and my older daughter started college in the same week . Jane was recapping Alborada , my first telenovela, all by herself. Then, I stayed when she created Caray. There always seems to be something stressful going on, so it is nice to have a familiar, friendly (usually) place to retreat to. Right now, the ruined farmhouse, my friend's stage 4 cancer, and the custody mess (still not resolved) has me stressed out. Everyone has battles to fight . Thank you , cyber friends, for giving me someplace to escape to for a few minutes.

P.s. Chickie, could you put something outside the chicken coop to scare off the visitor?..a scarecrow, music, something that moves..fan, windsocks???

Chupacabra! Now we know where he's at after tax season.

Rgvchick, so true how the patio is what keeps uscoming back on some of these.

Susanlynn, praying for peace, comfort and resolution. I admire that you handle so much, so seamlessly. Will focus in particular on your friend's illness and of course the custody case. I can tell you that miracles do exist. And there is always hope. Eternal hope.

As Judy sagely noted "There are many different kinds of family" and Caray's community counts as an important one of these.

So many times Caray has been a kind and generous friend, always ready with support and empathy.

Jarifa, it is indeed the patio that keeps us involved and helps us to share! And laugh, smile and cry.

On days I dread going to work, one of the first things I do is see what avatar Kirby has posted. Glorious, incredible shots. Today's is amazing.

RgvChick, keep your chickens close...

Blessings to all of you.

Diana

Chupacabra! Oh Noes..

Did you find scooter tracks by the hen house ?

Turn off all the outside outlets so he can't recharge his scooter.

A rooster? Oh well. They crow a lot but we all know who brings the eggs. :-)

Thank you Diana and Judy.

Our Patty-Oh is like no other.

OT- Susy and Diana, thanks for thinking of my chickens. Some spend the night in coops, so they are safe, but I have other “wild” ones that insist on sleeping up in the trees. Those are the ones closest to my house. I’ve tried scaresrows, motion-detecting lights, big wind chimes and I’ve even set out food with poison. These attacks seem to be seasonal. The last attacks were last spring, if I recall correctly.

JudyB, I think you would definitely approve of Ghost :-)

I laughed when the game warden and city animal control office asked me to take pictures...yeah right!! But then they suggested a game camera, so I got a game camera and set that up...no pictures yet :-/

Kirby, yes, roosters are noisy and I have an abundance of those, so I don’t mind losing some. I just don’t want to lose hens.

RGV....Me Too

:-)

Thanks, Rgv Chick. Fab title and recap.

Now that Fabian has been sidelined as a villain, Dulce has taken his place. She's doing a fine job. So she's going to do the research on Kika's business that Jorge should've done. Dulce, sure you can disillusion Jorge and bust up his relationship with Kika, but he'll never return to you.

Kirby...roosters🐓...makes me think of my favorite old joke.

Chickie, does the game warden have an idea about what hat is after your flock?

Does anybody have a guess as to why Dulce is talking to Jorge's godparents? Maybe she will sing them a sad 😪song and ask them to convince Jorge to take her back. Yuck😝 she know that Jorge found out about his godfather's relationship with his father?

Do you think that Neuron and Esperanza are about the same age? One taking care of three grandkids and the with a young lover and a baby.

And now, suddenly the Bickersons cannot keep their hands off each other. I guess that they are making up for lost time. Perhaps doing it in the office is exciting. ...you know....rug burns. Hub's friend at work got caught after hours bunnyhopping in the office by the boss.

Sorry for the typos. My tablet has a mind of its own today. It just changed "sorry," to " European" #hate

Oh, "recrap"! I forgot that word. LOL. I think it was coined while we were watching FELS. 😜

Shhhh.....Buzzards

Neron's sons appear to be a few years younger than Tono.

I do not recall if Val just ran over the Gfather or if he actually died. Valentina's little bitch brother was calling her a murderer.

Sorry // European...close...I guess. Autocorrect must know more about the Europeans than I do. I have always thought they were nice.

And CharyBomBom is getting cuter every episode.

OK I should think first instead of fifty one line posts. Why do you think D-ulcer looked so funny / confused after talking to GodMother.?

Bird was getting tired.

Kirby...I think that godfather recovered. We have not seen or heard about the godparents since the start of this show.

Susy and Kirby, I was wondering the same thing about the bewildered look Dulce had after talking to the godmother. Who knows what the lady told her...maybe she mentioned that Jorge and his godfather made some kind of deal??? And, yes, the godfather did recover.

Susy, the game warden didn't even know what wild cats populate this area. It was only after I called him that he found out that bobcats are prevalent in my particular area. I didn't see any spots on the cat I saw, so I don't think it was a bobcat.

Niecie, thanks for stopping by! And "Dulce, sure you can disillusion Jorge and bust up his relationship with Kika, but he'll never return to you." So true, so true!

That's nice. Blogger ate my comment with the "Oops, that's an error" happy face.
With people like D'ulcer, it is never her fault. Jorge is not with her because he is now with Kika, not because D'ulcer screwed him and her kids over. It is Kika's fault, and if she could just be eliminated, Jorge would be back with D'ulcer. Blame Shifter.

Kirby....I have crossed paths with a real life person who transfers blame to others in just this way.Narcissists are experts at this behavior. It is a very irritating trait to real with.

I forgot to mention my favorite line. "Once they are see the donkey, they want to go on a trip." # writingitdown

Susy, yessiree. I have run across a few along the way. Thankfully for me, those were just people I could gently eject from my orbit. They were never closer than coworkers or neighbors.

"Once they see the Donkey" Yep, visions of far away places.

Like maybe, a block away? :-)

Big question is whether Dulce will escalate to murder ?
