This is just a list of some things I remember from last night's episode. Perhaps other folks will fill in the details and add other stuff.

J-Low threatens to report Eliza and her family to ICE. She tells Max that if he wants to save Eliza, he has to make love to J-Low now. He probably does as she orders.

Don Carlos calls Ernesto to congratulate him on his speech and tells him he wants to meet with him the next morning to discuss strategy.

Tomás has nightmares about Charlie. He calls out "Don't die, Charlie" and "Forgive me, Charlie." Rod, in the lower bunk, hears him. Eliza, Carmen, and Rod all come to Tomás' bedside to see what's wrong.

Margarita overhears Paula talking to Alondra about the drug she's giving her.

ICE or someone like ICE comes to arrest Raquel.

Someone who looks exactly like Julián but sure doesn't act like him apparently overhears Paula assure Ernesto that Raquel has been taken care of. He tells his father that he doesn't want any harm to come to Raquel. What happened was his fault and his responsibility. Ernesto says he's glad Julián is maturing, but warns him not to screw up Ernesto's political career.

Max meets Eliza at the consulate as she requested. She tells him she wants a divorce. He asks whether this has something to do with Andrés. He says he won't sign the papers.

Richard tells Sofía that the lemonade bottle had traces of a common barbituate that lots of teens use. He suggests that perhaps Alo took it herself rather than Paula secretly giving it to her. Sofía is enraged at the suggestion. Joel tells Richard they shouldn't dismiss this so lightly. He talks about the drug toloache and what it can do.

Lado

thanks so much Juanita!

they were toying so much with the lemonade bottle I'm surprised it made it to the lab without Lorena tampering.

of course Lore is now in her undies as she announces dinner is ready, would you like to stay Sofia?

so the lemonade drug was clonazepam, "is an anti-anxiety medication",

wiki...

"when used for longer periods of time, some potentially serious side-effects may develop, such as interference with cognitive functions and behavior, many individuals treated on a long-term basis develop a dependence."

"It may increase risk of suicide in people who are depressed"

so this is how Julian's mother died.

Raquel's arrest reminded me how the local police here wait till their suspect is released from the hospital before arresting them, so they won't be libel for the injuries or the bill.

Alo seemed to be remembering getting sprayed, hmm, and Paula is steering her to being Beto's perfect wife.

it's amazing Max has a successful business because his motto in life seems to be "can we do this later?"

Lado

Eliza needs to remind Max he is a bigamist and if he doesnt sign the divorce docs she will let the courts know about all his marriages

"LADO":

Juanita: It's pretty obvious that Paula & Ernesto had Raquel deported AGAIN. I'm wondering if Santiago will ever have that happily ever after ?

Julian having a conscience ? TOO LITTLE, TOO LATE Spoiled Brat!

Deb: DEADBEAT Max is now Jennifer's sex slave ROFLOL. I doubt Eliza will tell the courts about his bigamism.

"LADO":

Deb: I have a question. Did Paula spray Sofia & making her become Ernesto's 2nd wife ?

I sense that Beto is EVIL as well. Ernesto still wants to be President of the United Mexican States.

Lado:

Novelera, Deb and Juanita, thank you guys for your fantastic recaps, which are way way way better than this c.ap of a telenovela.
I was extremely busy with work and had no time to watch this mess until yesterday.

Albert Einstein said that only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity. I bet he would have added a third thing after watching this telenovela: the absurdly illogical telenovela plots.
What the hell is wrong with the writers of this mess?
I honestly don't know which plot is more absurd:the police making a thorough search of the pantry but not finding a decomposing body in the freezer, Eliza needing to get a divorce from her American husband in order to get married to another American to obtain legal status, Max "sacrificing himself" and boinking the nutcase to protect Eliza and the kids from being deported instead of applying for a green card for Eliza and the kids, Thomas joining the gang and choosing to become a killer and a robber because his girlfriend dumped him so that he wouldn't interfere with the advancement of her singing career by means of sexually servicing creepy bold perverts or Joel the dimwit keeping Lorena in his apartment and letting her walk half naked and insinuate to Sophia that they are back together.

Al Otro Lado del Muro - Capítulo 69 - Parte 1/3

Well, milagros do happen. Tonight's episode had very few flashbacks after the usual ones at the start.

Max is trying to get Eliza to hold off on getting a divorce. He tells her that if she doesn't love him, she should say so, and if that's the case, he'll sign the papers, no problem. But they still love each other, right? She asks whether he thinks she can love a man who has betrayed her so many times, who has disappointed her again and again. He tells her that he still loves her, that every night, he thinks of her, desires her. She finally says the magic words: "I no longer love you." He asks whether it's because of Andrés. She replies, "Yes, I love him. Very deeply." She tells him that, unlike him, Andrés has shown commitment, honesty, support for her and her children. And that's true love. Max says he doesn't believe her, but he signs the divorce papers.

Karina tries to talk to Tomás. She reminds him that they're twins, they have a special connection. "What are you mixed up in?" she asks. She lets him know that she heard him crying out during his nightmare, and she senses it has nothing to do with Frida. Their conversation is interrupted by the arrival of Julián calling "Karina! Karina!" at the top of his lungs. She and Tomás agree to talk later.

Julián tells Karina that he wants to talk to her about Raquel. He tells the surprised Karina that Raquel has been deported again, and that he was the one who caused the accident that led to her deportation. He claims he wants to fix things. She tells him that he should turn himself in to the police (entrégate). He says he can't do that. Karina calls him a coward and gets out of the car.

We see a brief scene where the coyote who arranged for Raquel to cross into the United States is arrested. Or is he? The arresting "officer" looks remarkably like Pastrana. The plot thickens.

Eliza goes to what looks like a waiting room, where she presumably needs to be to finalize the divorce. Sofía finds her there. The two women hug, and Eliza tells her about the divorce, and about the fact that she's going to marry Andrés so she can have American citizenship. She makes it clear that Andrés knows this and agrees with this arrangement. "He loves me." Eliza is concerned that even though Andrés is OK with this, it's not fair to him. He deserves better. Sofía says he's doing it to protect her and her children, and she finds herself in a somewhat similar situation. Her relationship with Joel is over, he has gone back to his fiancée. Sofía says that's the push she needed. To protect Alondra, she's thinking about again marrying Ernesto.

The scene shifts briefly to Mark's house (remember Mark?). Frida is there. Mark introduces her to the woman he's been talking to, Ariadna, who he says will be "the next Jenni Rivera." [Hmm...wasn't that supposed to be Frida?]

The scene shifts again, this time to Tijuana. We see an understandably disheartened Raquel walking along the street. Suddenly she sees Santiago a short distance away holding their baby. She runs toward him, and it's not an hallucination. She asks him what he's doing in Tijuana, and he replies, "It's the only place I can be--with you." Many kisses and tears of joy.

Eliza looks around in the room Tomás shares with Rodrigo, trying to find something to help her understand what's troubling Tomás. She opens his backpack and finds the framed photo of Max, J-Low, and Charlie that Tomás took when he robbed their house.

Lado - Parte 2 de 3

Meanwhile, Tomás has come to Charlie's house, presumably trying to determine whether Charlie is dead or alive. Charlie confronts him outside the house: "It was you, you robbed my house. I saw you. You thought I was dead." In spite of this not exactly warm and fuzzy greeting, Tomás is happy and relieved to see that Charlie is alive and well. He tries to deny Charlie's accusation, but Charlie is adamant about what he saw. Tomás asks, "Did you tell your father?" Charlie reminds him that Max is "Our father. We're brothers!" Charlie thinks that Tomás did what he did because he was angry at Charlie and Max because of what they did to Rodrigo. Tomás makes it clear that Charlie is not at all to blame. Charlie then tells him that "Our father doesn't know and I won't tell him. It's our secret, as brothers." The brotherly bonding is interrupted by J-Low's calling for Charlie. Charlie tells Tomás to leave quickly: "It's my mother. She's worse than the police."

Margarita comes to see Sofía at her apartment. She blurts out, "I know how they're drugging Alojandra. I saw Paula drug her." She tells Sofía about overhearing Paula and Alo discussing the "perfume" Paula was spraying on her. Alo was complaining that it was giving her headaches and making her dizzy. Margarita is afraid that the same thing will happen to Alo that happened to Ernesto's first wife, Claudia. Claudia apparently caught Paula with Ernesto. She wanted a divorce and wanted to let the world know what an unfaithful husband Ernesto was. Margarita says she never saw Claudia being drugged, but her symptoms were the same as Alo's. Margarita gets ready to leave. Sofía warns her to be very careful, and not to have any confrontations with Paula. If Margarita wants to continue to look for the drug Paula is using, she must make sure that Paula doesn't see her.

Alo and Don Carlos' grandson (Bert?) are walking through the park. Bert tells her that he enjoys being with her, and to get away for a while from his father and grandfather. They make it clear that he must follow in their footsteps to serve their country. He imagines that she has been told that she should marry someone who will serve his country. Alo admits that she's been told that. Bert says, "They spoke of me, right? The same way they spoke to me of you."

Ariadna, "the next Jenni Rivera," tells Frida she wants to be like her. "I want to fulfill my dream." (Where have we heard that before?) Frida tries to dissuade her. Ariadna promises that she won't try to compete with her. Frida tries to make her understand that that's not the problem. She may have to do things she won't like. Ariadna brushes off these concerns. After all, Frida is successful, right? Soon, Johnny arrives, and Frida hears him say all the same things to Ariadna that he had said to her.

Eliza and Tomás have a talk. She asks him about the photo. He lies. She accepts his account. They hug, she tells him so many things have gone wrong lately and asks that he not add to her worries. She needs him to help her. (Oy!)

Lado - Parte 3 de 3

Pastrana brings the coyote to a church and tells him to kneel down (híncate) in the confessional. Ernesto the priest (who is in the other side of the confessional and thus can't be seen) tells the coyote they know all about him, and recites his name and his long record as a coyote. It's enough to get the coyote sent to prison for many years. The coyote offers him money. Ernesto laughs and tells him he doesn't want the coyote's money, he wants to give him money, lots of money, but in exchange the coyote will work for him. He needs to provide a "monthly quota of merchandise": 50 señoritas 20 years old or less. If they look 11, so much the better. They should be traveling alone. The coyote should talk to his contacts, locate the girls, bring them safe and sound to a special place. Don't touch them, nothing dirty. Pastrana then puts a cap over the coyote's head and leads him away. Ernesto lights a candle in the church, crosses himself, and leaves.

Richard and Joel are talking about their lack of success in getting Ernesto and the others arrested, in spite of the evidence they've amassed. Richard tells Joel that they need to get the names of the partners here in the States. Sofía arrives. Joel tells her they're having an important meeting. She tells Joel and Richard that what she has to say is more important. [And what I have to say is still more important: That's all, folks!]

Juanita: You left out the part where Margarita went into Paula's office & started going through her purse & found the secret "perfume".

All of a sudden Paula caught Margarita red-handed. Looks like the Mag-ista's days are numbered!

So santiago went to visit raquel...parole violation ...right? Interesting that Andeas went with him.

I thought Julian would do the right thing and turn himself in but not so and the damage has been done. IF he tells the truth under what grounds does the undocumented Raquel get to return to states.

Didnt realize the maid got caught...she is as good as dead.

Hope frida can now see how she was set up... and hope she can help the new girl not fall into the same trap.

Nett: I told you that the Mag-ista was going to get whacked!

Remember German ? He was helping Sofia & ended up getting tortured & shot to death.

Lado and General

Steve, yes, I deliberately left out what you've just described because it was in a preview, and we don't discuss previews here.

Just so everyone understands, ESCENAS DEL PRÓXIMO CAPÍTULO means Scenes from the Next Episode. For quite a while now, Telemundo has been showing two sets of trailers at the end of this novela. The first set comes right after the last scene in the current episode, and it is very clearly marked ESCENAS DEL PRÓXIMO CAPÍTULO, usually in capital letters for emphasis. Please do not discuss anything so marked, nor anything that comes after that.

I realize that this shift to two sets of trailers may have confused some people, but the first one is very clearly marked. Please avoid mentioning anything that is said to be from the next episode as well as anything that appears after that. Muchas gracias.

Lado

thanks so much Juanita, for another wonderful recap!

pollo loco, ha! was that the nickname of the coyote?

that must be Carmen's place in Tijuana, where she moved to and lived after the bakery was burned by Vicente.

and I guess Santiago gave up his U.S. citizenship to go there.

Lado

Juanita...to steves defense...I too thought your none comment on the maid going thru the purse was just an ommission. It didnt sink in for me that it was a preview but I was multi tasking.

It seemes logical that it was part of the current since Sofia had just cautioned her to be careful and not get caught so I knew then that she would get caught.

The cayote will now help steer vulnernable immigrants to Ernie and co. Disgusting business has so many bad people in the process. I was hoping that Ernie somehow found a way out but he is in deep. And never really was redeemable in my eyes because he always knew how his financial support was earned.

Having a female daughter does nothing for the conscience. These people only respect money and power.

"LADO":

Nett: Sounds like Ernesto is picking up where Cummings left off. Big question is does he die in the Gran Final on June 11th ?

Let's be honest, the Body Count will INCREASE between now & June 11th. I still do NOT believe the Mag-ista will among the living.

Plus, Alondra is a LOST CAUSE (I said it HALIMACANDY) because she's too far gone. Julian was a lost cause a long time ago.

I wasn't shocked Santiago chose to leave the United States in order to be reunited with Raquel in Mexico.

Another question I like to have answered is how long before Steven's decomposing body begins to stink & burst inside the freezer ? I mean Jennifer cannot keep that smelly freezer there forever.

Lado

Thanks very much, deb.

Yes, the coyote's nickname was said to be Pollo Loco. Will Santiago have to forfeit his American citizenship because of his youthful involvement in a gang? I don't recall the details but I think there was something about his not leaving the country.

Lado and General

Nett, I can understand that if you were "multitasking," you might not have been paying much attention, However, the entire scene with Margarita going through Paula's purse carried the statement ESCENAS DEL PRÓXIMO CAPÍTULO in large capital letters. It wasn't just flashed on and then removed. It was there the whole time. Thus, even if you didn't see it, Steve should have.

I don't want to make a big deal of this. It's just that it's the stated policy of the Telemundo pages that we don't mention trailers, previews, etc. Since LXV and I are the current co-jefas of the Telemundo pages, part of our responsibility is to see that the policies are followed. Enuf said.

"LADO":

Juanita: I think you meant to say "Will Tomas have to forfeit his American citizenship because of his youthful involvement in a gang ?"

I never even heard or saw Santiago mentioning any involvement in any gang like 66, who has now made Tomas their BITCH.

That whole dialogue and push back from Max was ludicrous. I hate even commenting on this story line....its so stupid. At any rate...glad he proved his complete impetence and signed the docs. He is so weak its amazing how either woman saw anything in him.

So we have a finally date...does that mean no season 2 I hope.

Steve, I did mean Santiago, not Tomás. Some time ago, I think it was Andrés who told Eliza about some brush that Santiago had with the law when he was younger. IIRC, he didn't have to go to jail, but some restrictions were placed on him, and I think one of them was that he couldn't leave the country for X years. I'm hoping someone else who remembers the episode better than I do can supply more info.

Lado

Steve, the request to not post previews has been in effect for years and years. Many people who read the blog like to stop watching the recording or turn to another channel if watching live so as to not see spoilers of the next episode. It’s pretty frustrating to go to the blog and find blatant statements about what’s going to happen next. I simply cannot understand why you continue to do this when you’ve been asked not to do it.

Lado

Juanita, fabulous recap! You got a meaty episode and definitely did it justice.

I was very confused. I probably did not see lettering saying it was in Tijuana, so I thought Raquel had somehow been released in the US.

I do remember Santiago and Andrés talking quite a while ago, when Raquel was deported the first time. Apparently Santiago had a brief involvement with one of the gangs. He didn’t go to jail, but his probation prohibited him from leaving the country (or maybe just LA, not sure).

Wow, just wow! Ernesto is now completely ruthless. He basically recruited the coyote to come up with 50 young girls, even better if they look 11 (gag) so he can comply with his brag to Carlos about increasing the percentage of “product”. I so did not see that coming.

The plot with Ariadna is going to be interesting. I kind of hope Frida has enough humanity left to try to save the girl from Johnny.

I suspect they will go with Sofía remarrying Ernesto to save Alo. She also said something to Eliza about Joel going back with Lorena. So apparently Lorena’s underwear trick worked pretty well.

I was annoyed with Richard insisting that Alo could be taking the drugs herself.

And, Steve, what makes you think that a frozen body decomposes? Do you ever put meat in your freezer? Does it rot?

Carlos’grandson (nephew?) is Beto, short for Alberto.

The scene with Tomás and Charlie was so touching. Saint Charles rides again! That kid is wiser than both his parents put together.

Lado

Many thanks, novelera, for your appreciative and insightful comments. And special thanks for supplying the name of Alo's current suitor and more details about Santiago's brush with the law.

Yes, Telemundo flashed the "Tijuana, Mexico" location, but they kept it on for a very short time. It was easy to miss.

I too was quite surprised to see Ernesto hiring the coyote to fulfill the monthly merchandise quota. Blecch! Somehow I thought Ernesto wouldn't stoop that low, but you're right--he promised Don Carlos a 30% increase in "business." I enjoyed Halimacandy's take on Ernesto's doing this in a church and then lighting a candle: "GOD SHOULD HAVE SMITE HIM ON THE SPOT!!"

Yes, Sofía is under the impression that Joel is back with Lorena, but I think Sofía is mistaken. Joel wanted to clarify things when Sofía came by his apartment with the lemonade container, but she didn't give him a chance.

"That kid is wiser than both his parents put together" -- true, but that's selling Charlie short! :-)

"LADO":

Juanita: I just figured out who Paula reminds me of.... Michele Bennett, the controversial First Lady of the Republic of Haiti: beautiful & sexy on the outside, but EVIL to the core on the inside.

Lado

I don't think Santiago would lose his US citizenship. I was under the impression he was born in the US. So, IIRC, the period of time Santiago was not permitted to leave Los Angeles was two years. And he still some time left on that when he desperately wanted to join Raquel in Mexico when she was first deported. Andrés advised against his going.

Assuming he went to Tijuana before the probation period was up, he could face jail time when and if he comes back to the US. Even if he were a naturalized citizen, I can't believe one loses their citizenship for committing a crime. You lose your right to vote.

"LADO":

Novelera: Santiago is desperate to be with Raquel badly!

Lado:

Juanita, thank you for another great recap. I missed part of the episode, so your very complete and detailed recap was highly appreciated. Thank you for your dedication.

Nett, I am with you about Max. I was fuming, cursing and throwing nerfasos at my poor t.v. I acquired an automatic gag reflex to Max. His mere presence triggers involuntary laryngospasms and nausea. He don't think there ever was a more terrible galan.

Frida is another horrible character. She should have told the new girl about Jonny immediately. Later it might be already too late.

Irene: I have zero sympathy for Frida. She gets what she deserves & I'm happy about her Karma hitting her BIGLY!!!!!!

I'll try and do the recap tonight.

Lado #70 1/2

Max drags home, coming off his divorce stuff, he had left Jen a note saying he was checking in with the police and she is prying for answers, are they coming back?

Santi and Raquel mull over their new life in Mexico, neither have lived there and only know what they have heard, narcos, corrupt politicians, a war zone... Carmen and Andreas smooth things with you can't always go with what you have heard, they're are good people here.

Beto and Alo eat ice cream, (that's dripping on them) he throws off the pressure from his dad and granddad, and says he does like her, do you like me?, Alo remembers Paula suggesting she marry him, hmm, she also remembers throwing the shoe at her dad, their fighting, Beto interrupts her thoughts, they decide on some Mexican food, dancing?

Carmen and Andres fill in Santi/Raquel on Mexican culture, holidays, big family gatherings, Tequila, I guess Andreas has arranged for them to live with his brother, Santi has a job there, hmm, Carmen suggests they stay here, close to Andres, maybe a bakery, she will help, think about it.

Sofia pleads her case with her cop friends, Rich and Joel, they talk procedure, the word of a maid, can't mess with the consulate without a court order, need proof, etc, etc, kidnapping is out, (Patrick would be proud of them) Sofia sees she is alone in this, leaves.

Tomas is rewatching Fri's interview, asked about a torrid love affair with Johnny, and she answers that he wouldn't sleep with his... (I thought they were going to edit this part out) is interrupted by a text from 66 ??, he has a job for Tomas.

Ariadna is getting ready for her big night in a sparkly dress, Frida lays it out, she paid a high price for her success, if she knew what she was getting into she wouldn't be here, she just wanted to sing, does Arianda have a boyfriend, no, Fri 'had' one that she traded for the whims of men that disgust her, Arianda wants to know if the dress makes her butt look too big.

Andres and Santi have a bonding moment, yesterday you were a boy, today you are a man, Andres tells him, you move to a new country with your wife and baby to a new home to start a new life like I did with Maria, over at the table is Carmen holding the baby and Raquel looking on, Santi knows it will be good because Andres taught him well.

Eliza alone ponders over her dealings with Max, telling him she does not love him, remembering Carmen pitching for Andres, an honest man, whom she will build an honest love brick by brick, Max on his bed at home, alone, doing the same, except for the Jen interruption, did you see her? yes, they started divorce proceedings, ah, Jen is now pleased, Max is angry, he did it to protect her from Jen's threats, and you will never force me to sleep with you again, he adds.

Lado #70 2/2

66 makes his usual cracks about Frida, throws Tomas a package for Mark.

Paula has had a hectic day dealing with the immigrant thingy while Ernesto slides in from Tijuana, he wants her to check on Alo, and pick up his suits, Ale calls and they meet for dinner, (what?, this is so like the last time they met when he proposed, now I'm the one doing flashbacks), he orders some sparkling waters with lime or something, she orders champagne.

Paula at the mansion gives the suits to Margarita, Alo home, nope, Julian, nope, went to meet Alo and Beto at a club, hmm, and rushes to get something, Margarita spots her purse, finds the spray bottle, Paula finds her, as Margarita tries to escape talking about her killing Julian's mom, Paula leaps over the couch, wow, takes her down and strangles her, retrieving the spray bottle only to give Margarita multiple spritzes to the face, who now lays there, foaming at the mouth.

Ernesto and Sofia toast, to what Ernie asks, Richard and Sofia's divorce was final that morning, ahh, cheers it is.

Tomas makes the delivery, wants to say goodbye to Fri, Mark gives him some pills to take, tomorrow you won't remember her, Fri is coaching Ariadna, careful who you take a drink from, etc, etc, Ari wants to know who she should sleep with.

Tomas walks in on the party, tensing things up, Ari is comfortable on someone's lap, Fri goes to him, he tells her he is following her lead, he's sold his soul to the devil, he leaves, and the party is back on.

Andres is back, spends some time with Eliza, he asks how's she doing, she just wants to dance, they do, he says he would love to kiss her, ah, but they don't, later Eliza wants to lay out all her worries before they make wedding plans, starting with Tomas, Andres says he will talk to him.

Jen and Max are in bed, she hears the (Steve) ringtone and tells Max to answer his phone, what? not his, and your therapy?

Padre Ernesto, or is it now schoolboy Ernesto, charms Sofia with himself, as he was born to serve, she admires him, (are they on drugs, and I'm imagining what it would be like if everyone had those little spray bottles) Sofia pulls out the engagement ring Ernesto had given her, accepto, she says, his eyes light up!

Many thanks, deb, for another great recap. It was much better than the episode itself, which I found mostly uneventful (except for Margarita, sigh) and rather preachy. I especially enjoyed your asides: "(Patrick would be proud of them)" and "(are they on drugs, and I'm imagining what it would be like if everyone had those little spray bottles)."

Things don't look too good for Margarita, but I haven't yet given up hope.

Frida certainly was open with Ariadna last night about the price one pays for "success" with Johnny et al. But Ariadna seems a lot less conflicted about paying that price than Frida was. I wonder whether Frida would have been more like Ariadna had she not fallen in love with Tomás.

I'm happy to see that J-Low is still bothered by Steve's ringtone. The more torment she experiences, the better. (I have a feeling I'll never be able to listen to Für Elise again without thinking of this novela :-). )

According to the count I just made on my fingers, we've got 8 more episodes left, including the upcoming one tonight. I wonder how many loose threads will remain at the end. Surely not enough for a second season, thank goodness.

Juanita: I do NOT feel any sympathy for Frida because her Karma is going to bite her so hard, it's going to be relishing as I will sit back & ROFLOL at her Karma :)

As for Jennifer: I doubt she'll get busted for Steven's murder (if anybody will find his body in the freezer anytime soon).

On the loose ends: I do NOT see anything being resolved with just 8 episodes left. Unless we get to see a full 2-hour Gran Final....

How stupid and predictable that Margarita gets caught. Paula is os ruthless and strong ....she took her prey down like a champ. If Margo survives the spray bottle she will be comatose. Nothing but babble coming out of her ...if anything. That’s too bad...she was such a loyal servant. She should have lied and said she neededmoney or something instead going into the truth. Oh well...but I knew she would get caught when Sofía cautioned her not to.

What’s with the Beto guy...don’t have a read on him yet...but he’s being asked to pursue Alo...but why.

Steve and the fridge....how has Jen explained the chain lock around the fridge. The police should have questioned that ...no one in that household finds it odd.

thanks Juanita!

all the years Margarita has worked for Ernesto, wow, I'm wondering why they don't let Ernesto somehow know that Paula is drugging Alo, I don't think he would like that and would probably save Margarita as well.

I imagine when Alejandra starts hanging around the house again she'll probably get a spray in the face too, or hopefully get the bottle and spray Ernesto and Paula and call a news conference. (they did something like that in "Santa Diabla")

Lado

maybe save some spray for Lorena as well.

Nett, I too knew Margarita was almost certainly going to be caught by Paula as soon as Sofía warned her not to be seen. Novelas are rarely subtle. I guess that's what makes them both fun and infuriating.

As for Beto's being encouraged to pursue Alo, I'm assuming it's to unite two powerful (and rotten to the core) families. Don Carlos is the head of an international trafficking network, and Ernesto is now perceived as very possibly the next president of Mexico.

Good question about the lock on the fridge. One would think that Celia must use that freezer from time to time. ???

Lado

deb, yes, definitely, save some spray for Lorena. And perhaps for a few other deserving characters.

"LADO":

Nett: We both KNEW that the Mag-ista was going to get busted by the Latina Michele Bennett (Paula) & we all saw that happened to the Mag-ista once that spray was used on her.....

On Beto: he's as dirty as just his Daddy & Grandfather. Don't get me started on Spoiled Bratty BITCH Alondra because I hope Karma hits her BIGLY quickly.

Juanita: The big question is whether Jennifer will kill Celia & put her in the freezer too ?

I mean Margot will eventually get suspicious & might head back to Los Angeles, CA at some point because there's NO way in Hell that Steven packed up his bags & flew back to Spain...

Deb: If there's any left in the spray for somebody to use on Lorena.... I NEVER liked Lorena either & Sofia seems hell-bent on finishing her mission on her own while Richard & Joel ignore her theories.

I'm worried somebody will figure out Sofia is "Alejandra" & blow her cover out of the water & do something horrible to her.

I do agree with Juanita that Ernesto is on track to becoming President of the United Mexican States at this point.

Maybe Telemundo should do a cross-over with "EL SENOR DE LOS CIELOS".

LADO

I will be sad to see this one end.

Victoria: The Karma List is going to be BIG. I still do NOT feel any sympathy for Frida at all :)

Lado

What is your beef with Frida, Steve? And why do you have to keep saying that over and over again. It seems cruel to say you have no sympathy for someone who's been taken advantage of. Doesn't anybody even want to see Mark and Jonny punished?

Deb, thanks so much for the fine recap. Sorry to be so late to the party. Busy day!

That scene with Paula and Margarita was AWFUL. I guess kudos to both actors for making it look so realistic. Somehow I think Margarita is still alive, although she may be a zombie like Alo for a while.

Wow, that Ariadna is a piece of work, isn't she? I was kind of surprised they went that way. I was expecting her to be a poor little lamb that would force Frida to step up and protect her. She's as cold and self-centered as can be. When Frida was pouring her heart out about Tomás, she only cared about which dress made her look hotter.

I was sort of glad Tomás didn't plead with Frida any more, only told her what he'd done re 66, although he wasn't explicit exactly what his deal with the devil was. In this case it's literally a Devil he's sold his soul to.

Deb, I LOVED "save some spray for Lorena". Something about her drives me nuts, especially the way she speaks. I guess she's supposed to be Colombian, although the actor is from Venezuela.

That was surely one long PSA about Mexico, wasn't it? I concur, of course, having loved my travels there. But they kind of laid it on a bit too thick.

I'm wondering if Sofía asking for champagne was a hint that she plans to get Ernesto back on the sauce, and quick.
