Sin Senos

Hombre- I would highly recommend you watch Sin Senos Si season 1, this story was incredible with some amazing twists, that never stopped, they did the big jump from Sin Senos No, with Catalina la pequena living an innocent life confined to her house by a yellow line Hilda painted around the front that she could never cross (except for school, etc.) and Hernan Dario, (with sparks between them) the bicycle delivery boy for the local grocery, how Diabla and diablita tainted their lives, and tore them apart, and how they came back together.

it wasn't till the end when Carmen Villalobos did a cameo, that they signed her and decided to do season 2, which in my opinion was mostly about integrating her and her family into the story. Season 3 I'm looking at more of a part B of season 2.

Lado, Reposting from previous page. I don't always catch the time and that the second page has been posted......anyway....

Steve, you're right...we're due for a few more bodies to pile up so I too think Celia will be next..after finding the body. Alo is too important to the story so I think she will be around till the end. Hopefully she collapses at school and they take her to the hospital where she can receive real medical attention and not more lemonade.

Irene, you went back in time on what Max could have done differently or more courageously....like not committing bigamy. I was thinking he should have never married Jen in the first place...and just the face up to her dad. You're right...he's the biggest wuss ever. Even Charlie was more observant than he was about Jen's supposedly injuries.

If the rest of the series has the pace we saw last night...it will be a better show but I'm not counting on it.

Sin Senos

Will the upcoming novela be the 3rd year of Senos Sí? In other words, was there Senos No followed by Senos Sí 1 and 2, with Senos Sí3 set to run after Lado finishes? I'm trying to figure out what I need to know in order to understand Senos Sí3. I'm hoping I can find a synopsis, because I don't have time to watch one or more entire seasons that preceded the upcoming one.

Sin Senos

Juanita-yep

Sin Senos no 2008/2009 (an unforgiving 238 episodes)

Sin Senos si 1 2016
Sin Senos si 2 2017
Sin Senos si 3 pronto

if you aren't planning on watching Sin Senos No, the wiki page lays out that story.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sin_senos_no_hay_paraíso

Si 1 tells the story of Catalina's sister (also named Catalina) the result of a love affair between her mother and her boyfriend.

Si 2 the original Catalina is alive and returns as a DEA agent to help her family.

Sin Senos

¡Muchísimas gracias, deb, both for the Wiki link to SSNo and your mini-mini recap of SSSí1&2!

Lado

did anything happen tonight?

so should Lore tell Joel about the phone or me, Sofia says.

that's right, the videos surfaced on the web of Cummings arrest, his lawyer gets him out.

Karina reluctantly shows Eliza the video of Alondra, and Julian, who is looking for his missing sister.

Ernesto calls Pastrana, he wants Cummings out of the picture, Paula objects.

Alondra's lemonade addiction leads her to Sofia's place, (she needs to change her locks)

what is this dark picture, Steve on ice, is he moving, (only in Jen's dreams)

oh yea, he was Raquel's lawyer, and now won't answer the phone.

Alondra and Alejandro are so cute together, could they be mother and daughter?

"LADO":

Deb: My personal thoughts.

1.) Alondra will find out Alejandra is Sofia, her Mommy & chew her ass out.

2.) Karina showed Julian the video of Alondra kissing Mean Girl #2 ?

3.) Just as I predicted, Cummings easily got out because as a former United States Senator from TX, he's got cronies all over the place.

4.) J-Low is plotting more chaos in the closing days. I'll be shocked if this becomes a Super Series....

5.) Now Ernesto wants Cummings whacked: He better be careful about killing a former United States Senator could cause diplomatic disaster between the United States & Mexico.

6.) Who leaked the videos of the FBI raid ?

"EL SENOR DE LOS CIELOS":

1.) The Female TV News Anchor still detained in the dungeon, who tells Doug Stamper 2.0 he's complicit in the death of Bizzaro Gaviota.

2.) El Capo & Co., have pictures of BPN's hired gun, Mayra & Doug Stamper 2.0: hmmm.

3.) Corina sent to the dungeon at the Casilas Mansion.

4.) Guy Becker is in this TN.

5.) Castillo gets lectured by BPN about not doing his job.

6.) Castillo & Mayra get freaky outside the office when BPN tells at her.

"MI FAMILIA":

HALIMACANDY: Looks like ICE is going after Jose Maria by asking for his papers. It seems that Ashley (his Druggie Baby Mommy) is hell-bent on destroying the Guerrero's non-stop.

Victoria: You've watched this TN ?

Lado:

After the previous action filled episode, this one was such a let down! Just a complete and total filler with more flashbacks than new material. Not a single cliffhanger got resolved and we had to watch this cretinously imbecile Max looking watching over that sleeping nutcase, instead of turning her in to the police already.
What more does he need to finally realize that avoiding jail is not worth it if the price to pay is having to live with this lunatic.

And I just wanted to slap him silly when he said nothing and just sat on the bad like a complete halfwit that he is after Jennifer openly said that ICE should be called on Eliza. If he does nothing after hearing this, he is beyond redemption.

Though I kind of understand what Eliza was saying about Alondra's plight, I choose to hope that she is wrong and that teenagers nowadays are mostly accepting of the same sex relationships and that teenagers like those bullies are the exception rather than the rule.

I don't believe for a second that a kiss between persons of the same sex is considered sensational enough to be the talk of the town in California, so I had to laugh at the fact that even a local pandillero is informed that some girl kissed another girl and it's on youtube.

I had high hopes for redemption for Lorena after how bravely she fought in the previous episode, but I guess that's not going to happen. I think she hopes that Cummings, that now knows that Alejandra is Sophia, will send people to eliminate her and she won't have to fess up to Joel.
Or maybe she will try to kill Sophia herself and pin it on Cummings.

Irene

"LADO":

Irene: I NEVER bought Lorena's fake redemption attempt, it was so obvious she's gunning to get Sofia whacked, it's not even funny.

Looks like Alondra will find out "Alejandra" is Sofia & you can expect FIREWORKS in which Alondra will go off on her Mommy.

Maybe J-Low can do us a favor & whack DEADBEAT Max!

Previews, Steve.

LADO – VIERNES – Parte 1 de 3

We again see Lorena and Sofía talking and Lorena saying she’ll tell Joel about planting the phone in Sofía’s apartment.

Also, there is a repeat of the scene of Alondra somehow having gotten into “Alejandra’s” apartment and sleeping on the sofa. She throws herself into Ale’s arms.

Joel and Richard again threaten Cummings with revealing what he’s done so his granddaughter will know. The video that was taken by those young guys by the torture warehouse is being watched by some woman who is dusting furniture.

Ernesto and Paula watch the amateur video on TV. [Have you ever noticed that, when some exciting plot point is on the news on TV in a telenovela, every character in every household happens to have the TV on to that very channel?] Ernesto isn’t interested in Paula’s sticking up for Cummings, and HE calls Pastrana to put on a hit.

While Joel and Richard are trying one last time to get Cummings to rat out his associates, a lawyer shows up and stops everything.

Julián has brought Karina home and gets a piece of Carmen’s mind for taking her out without permission. Karina tells Eliza, Carmen, and Tomás that Alondra is missing. She and Julián looked in all the places they could think of and could not find her.

We see a flashback of the ghastly 66 telling Tomás that he needs to bring Alo to him and he’ll “cure” her. When Tomás is furious at the insult to his sister and pushes him, he gets punched a few times for his trouble and threatened with death if he ever tries it again.

Alondra calls Karina, telling her she’s OK and is staying with a friend.

Ernesto tells Paula he’s hasta la madre (fed up to the back teeth) with Cummings and his dirty business. Sofía calls to tell Ernesto that Alondra is with her. We see Alondra realize that her father didn’t even know she wasn’t there all the time.

Cummings threatens Richard and Joel with losing their jobs, as he knows their superiors. Cummings asks for his phone back. Lorena comes in, is furious to see him leaving. Richard tells her he got a judge friend to spring him. Joel asks Lorena where Sofía is. Lorena: “Really?” [Guess her gratitude is short lived.] Joel lights into her for leaving Sofía alone when Cummings could have told Ernesto her real identity by now. [Lorena has also not yet told anyone she planted the phone.]

Joel is leaving the FBI HQ. Cummings is coming out with his lawyer and is surrounded by a pack of journalists. We see Pastrana with his trusty rifle and is looking through the scope. [Shoot, Pastrana, cries Novelera from her sofa!] From the TV set at Casa Ernesto we see Paula tells Ernesto to call Pastrana and stop the hit. Cummings puts his cell phone to his ear and calls Paula. Paula answers, telling him they’re seeing him leave on television.

LADO – VIERNES – Parte 2 de 3

Just then the woman we saw before doing some dusting races up, calls Cummings a rapist of children and shoots him twice! He crumples to the ground, and some FBI guys handcuff her. She yells that he’s a pedophile who raped her when she was 10 years old. [I can’t tell if the TV cameras picked up what she said.]

Inside the FBI office, we find that an agent tapped Cummings phone. But the guy monitoring doesn’t seem to know what Cummings said to Paula.

Celia is talking with Max in the kitchen. She tells him that Steve came by but was not there when she came back from shopping. Celia then goes to the freezer in the laundry room for some meat to make soup! Just then Max is calling Steve from the kitchen and Celia hears classical music coming from inside the freezer. Rats! Jennifer shows up before Celia can find a Steve Popsicle. She tells Celia the ringing phone was hers and she came to look for it.

Jennifer goes all Thor the Hammer on Steve’s cell phone. [Lately they’ve been playing a shrieking violins, Psycho shower scene musical theme whenever Jennifer is going a bit BSC.] While she’s bashing the phone to pieces, we are treated to some more of Jennifer’s Greatest Hits: Max telling her he loves Eliza and only stayed with her for Charlie; seeing Max and Eliza kissing at the bakery.

Alo begs “Alejandra” to stay with her instead of returning to her father’s [the house of Lethal Lemonade] or to Eliza’s place. Sofía tells her she’d like nothing better, but doesn’t agree. She says they’ll talk about it later.

Ernesto is breaking out the champagne to celebrate Cummings death. [If I had a bottle, I’d do the same.] Trejo brings in a cell phone with the video of Alondra kissing Kelly to show Ernesto. Paula is enjoying the prospect of Alo being a lesbian. Ernesto, looking grim, says he won’t be the first President of Mexico with a homosexual daughter. He tells Paula he wants her to get some sort of drug to inhibit her libido. [Oh, boy, I’d like to punch in in the face right now.]

Max tells J-Low that she knows perfectly well she ruined his chances with Eliza. He’s decided to move back in to be the best father he can be for Charlie. But he has conditions: she must get evaluated by a shrink; she won’t bother Eliza any more; and she absolutely won’t try to get her deported.

Absolutely delusional, as usual, Jennifer is thrilled at the thought of having a man who can barely stand to be in the same room with her back in her life. She tells Charlie a rosy story about their family being like it was before.

Alo has called Eliza to tell her she’s OK. While on the phone, she’s looking through what looks like chemicals for developing film and finds a stash of pictures of herself, including the one taken lying down on her mother’s grave. She finishes the call with Eliza, but Eliza can tell something is not right.

"EL SENOR DE LOS CIELOS":

My personal thoughts on tonight's episode:

1.) Castillo & Colon discussing strategies regarding how to stop Daddy Casilas.

2.) The Latino Doug Stamper gets intimidated by El Cabo & his thugs.

3.) Daddy Casilas, Ritula & Co., arrive in Colombia & have shootout with Quesada.

4.) Super Javi still being tended to his injuries. He cannot remember who he is due to the plane crash.

5.) Corina still held in the dungeon inside the Casilas Mansion.

6.) BPN & the Latino Doug Stamper plotting on how to get rid of the Female TV News Anchor. Option of killing her is considered.

7.) Zuleta (Presidential Secret Service Director) grabs Mayra (who was talking to Castillo over the phone), shoves her into the restroom & violently rapes her.

LADO – VIERNES – Parte 3 de 3

After agreeing to get some “sexual inhibitors” for Ernesto, Paula throws in a jab. She says that things won’t get better, especially since Alejandra is an artist and will doubtless aid and abet Alo’s choices of partners.

Alondra has torn her mother’s apartment apart and even finds her wedding rings, plus lots and lots of pictures of herself. There’s a knock on the door. It’s Ernesto, telling her to get her crap together. She’s coming with him.

Charlie mentions Steve’s visit. Max asks why she didn’t tell him Steve was there as he’s been trying to reach him. J-Low comes up with a tale about Steve suddenly having gone to Spain.

Andrés comes into the bakery and tells Eliza and Carmen that Steve has been unreachable. Apparently Steve was supposed to be preparing some document that Santiago was to take to the border to have Raquel sign during their 5-minute time together.

Joel and Sofía are in a car outside her apartment. They see Ernesto wrestling Alo out the door and some guards pulling her into a van. Sofía struggles with Joel wanting to run and save her daughter. But Joel reminds her that Ernesto is her father and she has no rights.

Richard tells Viewerville the story of the woman who shot Cummings. Her name is Estella Dominguez. She confessed. [I notice that Patrick is back in the office.] She was an immigrant who was the daughter of a woman who worked for Cummings. He raped her as a 10 year old and then sold her into prostitution. She was moved from bad place to bad place until she escaped and came to LA.

Joel calls the office telling the others that they saw Ernesto take Alondra. Sofía wants to call him. Richard says it’s too dangerous because they don’t know if Cummings told Paula who she was or not. Joel says that Sofía has a plan.

Alondra races through the fancy house telling Ernesto he can’t control her. She says she’s getting her stuff and leaving right now. He tells her she’s going to learn how to live with her family. Alo tells him she’s of age and can do whatever she likes. And, besides, if she wants to kiss a woman or a dog, she’ll do it. Ernesto is furious.

Paula is smirking. She says she knows a shrink who can tame the savage animal. Alo bashes her right in the head with her backpack and then smiles with pleasure.

"LADO":

Novelera: Cummings gets whacked by one of his rape victims. How ironic!

Lado

Cummings getting wacked ensures this drags oit a lil longer. Hopw Alo can escape being held caotive at Ernies especiallt after he basically green lighted Paula giving her a drug/poison.

How did Alo know Alejandras affress. And how did she get into the "locked" room. Oh well.now she knows or does she.
.

Finallly...cowardly Max has accepted his deservedly role to stay with Jen. Sadly that wont stop her envy of Eliza.

Lado

wow, that was a great recap novelera !!!
there were a lot of little things going on.

"Shoot, Pastrana, cries Novelera from her sofa!", ha!

I thought I heard a small roar coming from the neighborhood when he was.

I was confused if the girl shot Cummings because they didn't actually show the gun.

and I'm confused about where Steve is, that freezer isn't that big to hide a body, and his phone was in his hand when he got clubbed into the pool, maybe they will show more later.

"we are treated to some more of Jennifer’s Greatest Hits", ha!, the flashbacks in gray are like a film noir.

hmm, the last time Steve was going to Spain he did a little errand for Max, and no one missed him then.

ah, Santiago loaded up a gift card for Carmen to take back to Raquel, did it have coyote written all over it?

loved it when Joel told the good guys Sofia had a plan, did they all go into a coma?

that was kind of strange Alondra going thru Sofia's stuff, pretty much throwing it around, and her violent nature of late, I'm thinking this is coming from Paula's pills, I hope she figured out Ale is her mother, but I also hope there is a little something there to let her understand.

Lado

Many thanks, novelera, for yet another marvellous recap. I loved the fact that you not only covered everything that happened but also added a lot of choice novelera snark. Among the morsels I especially enjoyed were "Jennifer shows up before Celia can find a Steve Popsicle," "Jennifer is thrilled at the thought of having a man who can barely stand to be in the same room with her back in her life," and "we are treated to some more of Jennifer’s Greatest Hits." Your snarky "Jennifer's Greatest Hits" and deb's earlier "Cummings and Sofia take a walk down memory lane" are the one good way to deal with all those [expletive deleted] flashbacks. When you've got lemons, make poisoned lemonade.

Let me also admit that you weren't the only one yelling "Shoot, Pastrana!" at the TV. Perhaps I was too busy yelling, but I wasn't at all sure who killed Cummings. At first I thought that Pastrana shot him, and I feared that he was going to miss Cummings and shoot the immigrant woman instead. Even after seeing the FBI agent subdue the woman, I still thought that Pastrana had done the killing and that the woman was somehow going to be blamed unjustly. Now I guess I believe that she may indeed have beaten Pastrana to the draw, but I still have a bit of doubt.

"LADO":

Juanita: Anyhow, Pastrana likely whacked Cummings, who was a liability to Ernesto & Paula.

I'm NOT shocked Ernesto gave Paula to keep drugging his own daughter.

Lado

I viewed the Cummings shooting pretty carefully. Estella was shown approaching the cluster of people around him. Her hands were in her pockets. She came right up to him, and it seemed as if a hand went toward his body. We immediately heard two shots. Pastrana stopped looking through the sight on his rifle and looked astonished. The newscaster said that he was shot at quemarropa (point blank range). [This is an interesting word, literally close enough to burn the clothes of the victim.]

I also think Pastrana would have taken a head shot. Shooting through the body might risk Cummings surviving.

Lado

Thanks very much, novelera, for your account of the Cummings shooting. I finally came to more or less the same conclusion, though I dismissed the newscaster's remark because so often (and not just in telenovelas) the newscasters don't get it right. But Pastrana's surprised look did influence me. I also like your reasoning about his being more likely to use a head shot.

Thanks too for pointing out that quemarropa literally means close enough to burn the clothes. I looked up the meaning but completely ignored the derivation. In this case, knowing the derivation will very likely help me remember the meaning.

"LADO":

Novelera: Either way, the Slimy disgraced United States Senator from TX was a liability to Ernesto & Paula.

Juanita: I did enjoy watching Alondra punching Paula!

Novelera, thank you for such a thorough and humorous recap.

I especially loved the following lines:

"Jennifer shows up before Celia can find a Steve Popsicle"

"Jennifer goes all Thor the Hammer on Steve’s cell phone."

"Absolutely delusional, as usual, Jennifer is thrilled at the thought of having a man who can barely stand to be in the same room with her back in her life"

I thought I couldn't hate Max anymore than I already do, but this episode proved me wrong. What an absolute piece of sh.t he is. Instead of finally doing the right thing(even though it means some jail time)and turning Jennifer in to make sure that she stops harming Eliza and her children, he comes back to her again. Oh well, living with a psychotic b..ch must be not that bad after all.
And how dumb is he to actually believe that she will not harm Eliza just because she promised and not to suspect that something bad happened to Steve, who suddenly disappeared without a trace at the same time as Jennifer had a nervous breakdown and somehow fell into a pool.
Even Charlie didn't buy Jennifer's story about Steve going to Spain but this imbecile just accepted it without second thought.

Irene

Lado:

Deb, I am wondering too about where Steve's body is. The freezer is not very deep, and Jennifer had to cover Steve with some products or with ice so the inside of this freezer would probably look different than what Celia remembered, so I am surprised she didn't notice anything is wrong.
And how is his phone even working after being dropped into a pool and then lying soaking wet in the freezer for at least a day?

Irene

"LADO":

Irene: I'm betting Steven will deteriorate quickly & start to stink once law enforcement authorities find the freezer.

Telemundo

The Telemundo website now has information about programming for 2018-19. Included are a number of new novelas. See Telemundo's website for more details.

Telemundo

I'm tracking the upcoming shows as well, for Telemundo and for Univision. So if you're reeeeally bored today, you can come check that out. https://5ftlatina.com/cohete/2018/05/10/upfronts-review-telemundo-and-univision-2018/

"LADO":

Juanita: It's going to be interesting to see if law enforcement will start searching for Steven, who's starting to become very ripe inside the freezer.

I'm NOT shocked DEADBEAT Max has decided to seal his own fate by staying with J-Low.

"LADO":

Irene: Somebody's bound to find Steven's body in the freezer at some point. I mean, how long will J-Low keep this a secret ?

We all know the Corrupt Doctor will never get his anvil anytime soon.
